Abstract
The present invention discloses a magnet steel containing high-abundance rare earth elements, a manufacturing method thereof, and applications thereof. The method for producing this high-abundance rare earth element-containing magnet steel includes the following steps: (1) mixing a main alloy powder and a sub-alloy powder, pulverizing, molding, and sintering the mixture; wherein the main alloy has a composition of (RE a Pr b Nd c ) d Fe e Al f Cu g Ga h Zr i Ti j B k and RE is a high abundance rare earth element and includes one or more of La, Ce, Y, Er, Yb, Gd, Tm, and Sm, and the composition of the sub-alloy is R m Fe n Cu o Al p where R is a rare earth element, and (2) grain boundary diffusion is performed on the sintered body obtained in step (1) and the diffusion source raw material composition. In the present invention, the magnetic properties of magnets containing high-abundance rare earth elements can be improved by constructing a composite magnetically hardened shell layer.
