Abstract

Controller: connected to or integrated with the gas sensor, capable of generating an overheating alarm and / or transmitting the information to other devices when gas generated by heating of the monitored component or a thermally activated gas-releasing material installed on it acts on the sensor, and can take into account the presence of background gas in the monitored zone. Furthermore, a method for testing the system and a method of use for autonomously detecting overheating of electrical equipment elements are also disclosed. The present invention aims to improve the reliability and safety of electrical equipment by promptly detecting defects involving overheating of electrical equipment components.
