Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel retroviral vector comprising a 5' long terminal repeat (LTR), a primer binding site, a heterologous intron, an transgene insertion site, and a 3' LTR, wherein the heterologous intron is located immediately downstream of the 5' LTR. Such a vector has a high titer production rate and is particularly suitable for gene therapy.
