Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic having an excellent ultraviolet protection effect and a method for producing said oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic. [Background technology]

[0002] In recent years, as the importance of protection from ultraviolet rays in daily life has increased, the need for sunscreen cosmetics has also increased. In response to such market needs, oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen cosmetics, which have a refreshing feel and are easy to use over time, have been developed. These cosmetics contain ultraviolet absorbers to enhance the ultraviolet protection effect. For example, Patent Document 1 describes an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that contains a nonionic surfactant with an HLB of 6 or less, a sucrose fatty acid ester with an HLB of more than 6, untreated starch and / or etherified starch, a higher alcohol, an oil-soluble UV absorber, an UV absorber having a sulfonic acid group or a salt thereof, and water, for the purpose of providing an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that has excellent UV protection effect, good emulsion stability, and is not sticky. [0004] However, although the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic described in Patent Document 1 has an excellent ultraviolet protection effect, good emulsion stability, and can suppress stickiness upon application, it does not provide a sufficient fresh feeling upon application or blend well with the skin, and there is room for improvement. An object of the present invention is to provide an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic which has an excellent ultraviolet protection effect, is excellent in emulsion stability, feels fresh when applied, and blends well with the skin, and a method for producing the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic. [Means for solving the problem]

[0005] The present inventors have discovered that by containing a nonionic surfactant and a sucrose fatty acid ester, each having an HLB within a specified range, a higher alcohol, an ultraviolet absorber, and water, and by having a lamellar structure, it is possible to obtain an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that has high emulsion stability, excellent ultraviolet protection ability, a fresh feeling when applied, and good compatibility with the skin.

[0006] That is, the present invention relates to the following [1] and [2]. [1] An oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic preparation comprising the following components (A) to (E) and having a lamellar structure: Component (A): Nonionic surfactant with HLB of 6.0 or less Ingredient (B): Sucrose fatty acid ester with HLB above 6.0 Ingredient (C): Higher alcohol Component (D): UV absorber Component (E): Water [2] A method for producing an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition having a lamellar structure, comprising the following components (A) to (F): Component (A): Nonionic surfactant with HLB of 6.0 or less Ingredient (B): Sucrose fatty acid ester with HLB above 6.0 Ingredient (C): Higher alcohol Component (D): UV absorber Component (E): Water Ingredient (F): Water-soluble thickener Component (D) is a combination of a water-insoluble ultraviolet absorber as component (D1) and an ultraviolet absorber having a sulfonic acid group or a salt thereof as component (D2), A method for producing an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic, comprising the following steps 1 to 5: Step 1: Mixing and dissolving component (D2) and a portion of component (E) to obtain preparation (i) Step 2: Heating and dissolving the aqueous phase components, including component (A), component (B), and the remainder of component (E), to obtain preparation (ii). [0008] [Figure 1] 1 is a polarizing microscope photograph of the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of Example 2. [Diagram 2] 1 is a polarizing microscope photograph of the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of Comparative Example 1. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0009] [Oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics] The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention contains the following components (A) to (E) and has a lamellar structure. Component (A): Nonionic surfactant with HLB of 6.0 or less Ingredient (B): Sucrose fatty acid ester with HLB above 6.0 Ingredient (C): Higher alcohol Component (D): UV absorber Component (E): Water In the present invention, "containing component (A), component (B), component (C), component (D), and component (E)" also means "comprising a blend of component (A), component (B), component (C), component (D), and component (E)."

[0010] The present invention can provide an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that has an excellent ultraviolet protection effect, is excellent in emulsion stability, and has a fresh feeling and good compatibility with the skin upon application. Although the reason for this is not clear, it is thought to be as follows. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention contains a nonionic surfactant and a sucrose fatty acid ester, each of which has an HLB within a specified range, as well as a higher alcohol, and is therefore capable of forming oil phase droplets covered with a coating having a lamellar structure in the aqueous phase, which is the continuous phase. Furthermore, since the oil phase droplets are covered with a coating having a strong lamellar structure, it is believed that coalescence of the oil phase droplets is suppressed, thereby improving emulsion stability. Furthermore, when the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic of the present invention is applied to the skin, the lamellar structure of the coating that covers the oil phase droplets is maintained, and the oil phase droplets are less likely to collapse, so that a coating film containing the oil phase droplets in the aqueous phase, which is a continuous phase, can be formed on the skin surface. As a result, the aqueous phase is sufficiently retained in the coating film, which is thought to improve the UV protection effect and provide a fresh feeling and good skin compatibility when applied.

(Step 4) Preparation (ii') obtained in step 2 and preparation (iii) obtained in step 3 were mixed and emulsified using a homomixer (manufactured by Primix Corporation, model: TK Robomix, rotation speed 10,000 rpm) while maintaining the temperature at 80°C to obtain preparation (iv'). (Step 5) Preparation (iv') obtained in step 4 was cooled to 35°C, and then preparation (i) obtained in step 1 and components 33 and 34 were added and mixed to obtain an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic.

[0081] Comparative Example 2 According to the formulation shown in Table 2, an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1, except that components 2 to 4 were not added in step 3 of Example 1.

[0082] The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics obtained in the Examples and Comparative Examples were evaluated for the following: (1) confirmation of lamellar structure, (2) UV protection ability, (3) emulsion stability, and (4) usability (freshness upon application, compatibility with skin upon application). The results are shown in Tables 1 and 2.

[0083] (1) Confirmation of lamellar structure The lamellar structure was confirmed by polarized observation using a polarizing microscope "ECLIPSE LV100 POL" (Nikon Corporation). In the polarized observation, a lamellar structure was confirmed as "present", and a lamellar structure was not confirmed as "absent". Polarized microscope photographs of Example 2 and Comparative Example 1 are shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, respectively. In Example 2, as shown in FIG. 1, a Maltese cross was observed, indicating that a lamellar structure had been formed. However, in Comparative Example 1, as shown in FIG. 2, no Maltese cross could be observed.

[0084] (2) UV protection ability The in vitro SPF value was determined in accordance with Example 1 described in JP 2017-146211 A.

[0085] (3) Emulsion stability Each oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic was allowed to stand at 60°C for one month, and the appearance of the emulsion was visually observed and evaluated according to the following criteria. 〔Judgment criteria〕 5: No change in appearance upon staring. 4: There is little change in appearance even with staring. 3: A slight change in appearance is discernible on close inspection, but no change at first glance. 2: Coalescence of emulsion droplets occurs, resulting in a rough appearance. 1: The oil and water phases are separated and the appearance appears heterogeneous.

[0086] (4) Sensation of use (freshness upon application, compatibility with skin upon application) A test was conducted on each oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic product by 10 expert panelists evaluating the cosmetics. Each expert panelist used each cosmetic product and rated it on a 5-point scale for "freshness upon application" and "skin compatibility upon application" based on the following evaluation criteria, and the average score was calculated from the sum of the scores of the 10 expert panelists for each cosmetic product. [Evaluation Criteria] 5: Good 4: Fairly good 3: Normal 2: Somewhat poor 1: Defective The average values of each evaluation are shown in Tables 1 and 2. A higher average value indicates a better effect, with the average value exceeding 4.0 being very good, the average value being 4.0 or less and exceeding 3.0 being good, the average value being 3.0 or less and exceeding 2.0 being slightly poor, and the average value being 2.0 or less being poor.
