Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for manufacturing a bead core, and more particularly to an apparatus and method for manufacturing a bead core that can efficiently manufacture annular bead cores with excellent uniformity and shape stability by forming a bead wire into a desired curvature. [Background technology]
[0002] In a process for manufacturing a bead component for a tire, a bead filler is joined to the outer peripheral surface of a bead core formed by winding a bead wire into a circular ring shape to manufacture the bead component. For example, the bead core is formed into a circular ring shape by winding the bead wire in a spiral shape around the outer peripheral surface of a molding drum. Alternatively, a circular bead core is formed by winding a plurality of bead wires in parallel in layers and winding them in layers, a so-called layer winding method. When the bead wire is wound in a spiral shape to form a circular ring shape, it is more advantageous than the layer winding method in improving the uniformity (circumferential balance) of the manufactured bead core.
[0003] In a bead core formed in an annular shape, the winding start end and the winding end of the bead wire are prone to coming apart. Therefore, a method has been proposed for manufacturing a bead core by forming the winding start end side of the bead wire with a relatively large radius of curvature and forming the winding end side with a relatively small radius of curvature (see Patent Document 1). This manufacturing method prevents the winding start end and the winding end side of the bead wire from coming apart, and the bead wire is formed to maintain the bundle formed in an annular shape, which is advantageous for stably ensuring good uniformity.
[0004] Conventionally, a conical forming roll has been used to change the radius of curvature of a bead wire and form it. A circumferential groove extending around the entire circumference is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the roll. A plurality of such circumferential grooves are provided at intervals in the axial direction of the grooved roll, so that the roll outer diameter at each circumferential groove is made different. The bead wire is pressed and passed through the circumferential groove of the desired roll outer diameter, so that the bead wire is formed to the desired radius of curvature. In this forming method, it is necessary to interrupt the movement of the bead wire and to loop the bead wire around another circumferential groove every time the radius of curvature is changed, so there is room for improvement in terms of efficient production of bead cores. [0007] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a bead core manufacturing apparatus including a payout section from which a bead wire is paid out, a forming drum on which the bead wire is spirally wound around an outer circumferential surface, and a forming roll around which the bead wire is wound between the payout section and the forming drum, the forming roll having a conical shape, and holding the bead wire moving from the payout section to the forming drum, Shaping roll A holding portion that presses the bead wire against the outer peripheral surface of the bead wire. Shaping rollThe present invention is characterized in that it has a movement mechanism that relatively moves at least one of the shaping roll and the holding portion in the roll axial direction of the shaping roll while pressing the shaping roll against the outer peripheral surface.
[0008] Another bead core manufacturing apparatus of the present invention is provided with a payout section from which a bead wire is paid out, a forming drum on which the bead wire is spirally wound around an outer circumferential surface, and a forming roll around which the bead wire is wound between the payout section and the forming drum, The bead wire moving from the payout section toward the forming drum is held. Shaping roll The bead wire is pressed against the outer peripheral surface of the roll. Shaping roll It is characterized by being expandable and contractable while being pressed against the outer circumferential surface.
[0009] In the method for manufacturing a bead core of the present invention, a bead wire is fed from a feeding section, wrapped around a forming roll to form the bead wire, and then spirally wound around an outer circumferential surface of a forming drum to form the bead wire into an annular shape. The forming roll is made into a cone shape, and the bead wire moving from the feeding section to the forming drum is held by a holding section, and the bead wire is wound in the Shaping roll The bead wire is continuously shaped into a desired curvature by relatively moving at least one of the shaping roll and the holding portion in the roll axial direction of the shaping roll while pressing the shaping roll against the outer peripheral surface.
[0010] In another bead core manufacturing method of the present invention, a bead wire is fed from a feeding section, wrapped around a forming roll to form the bead wire, and then spirally wound around an outer circumferential surface of a forming drum to form a circular shape. The bead wire is held by a holding section as it moves from the feeding section toward the forming drum, and the bead wire is wound by a holding section. Shaping roll The bead wire is continuously shaped into a desired curvature by expanding and contracting the shaping roll while pressing it against the outer circumferential surface. Effect of the Invention
[0011] According to the former bead core manufacturing device and manufacturing method of the present invention, the bead wire is continuously shaped into a desired curvature by moving at least one of the shaping roll and the holding part relative to the shaping roll in the roll axial direction while pressing the bead wire against the outer circumferential surface of the shaping roll while moving the bead wire from the payout part to the forming drum. Therefore, it is possible to efficiently manufacture annular bead cores with excellent uniformity and shape stability without stopping the movement of the bead wire.
[0012] According to the latter bead core manufacturing device and method of the present invention, the bead wire is continuously shaped into a desired curvature by moving the bead wire from the payout section to the forming drum while pressing the bead wire against the outer circumferential surface of the shaping roll and expanding and contracting the shaping roll, thereby making it possible to efficiently manufacture annular bead cores with excellent uniformity and shape stability without stopping the movement of the bead wire. [0014] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, a bead core manufacturing apparatus and method according to the present invention will be described with reference to the embodiments shown in the drawings.
[0015] A bead wire Wr, the outer circumferential surface of which is covered with unvulcanized rubber, is shaped to a desired radius of curvature by a bead core manufacturing apparatus 1 (hereinafter referred to as the manufacturing apparatus 1) of the present invention as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2. The shaped bead wire Wr is then formed into an annular shape to manufacture a bead core B as shown in Fig. 3 and Fig. 4. To be shaped means to be plastically deformed.
[0016] In the annular bead core B shown in Figs. 3 and 4, a single bead wire Wr is wound helically from the inner periphery to the outer periphery while repeatedly moving back and forth in the width direction. In detail, a single bead wire Wr is wound helically while moving in the width direction to form a first layer B1 in an annular shape, and then the bead wire Wr is wound helically around the outer periphery of the first layer B1 while moving in the width direction to form a second layer B2 in an annular shape. The annular bead core B has a laminated structure in which a single bead wire Wr is wound in the necessary number of layers in this way, from the inner periphery side, in the first layer B1, the second layer B2, the third layer B3, and the fourth layer B4. That is, the bead wire Wr is wound helically around the outer periphery of the forming drum 11 in the order shown by the arrows in Fig. 4. Therefore, the winding start end Wra of the bead wire Wr is located closer to the inner periphery of the bead core B than the winding end Wrb.
[0017] In this embodiment, the bead core B has a structure in which four layers of bead wires Wr arranged in parallel in four rows in the width direction are laminated. The number of bead wires Wr arranged in the width direction and the number of layers to be laminated are appropriately set, and the laminated structure may be, for example, about 4 to 6 layers.
[0018] This embodiment of the manufacturing apparatus 1 includes a payout section 2 from which the bead wire Wr is paid out, a forming drum 11, a setting roll 5A around which the bead wire Wr is wound between the path (the movement path of the bead wire Wr) from the payout section 2 to the forming drum 11, a holding section 6 that holds the bead wire Wr, a movement mechanism 7, and a control section 12. In this embodiment, the manufacturing apparatus 1 further includes a drive roller 3, a support roller 4, a displacement sensor 8, a wire guide 9, and a cutter 10. Note that the payout section 2, drive roller 3, and support roller 4 are not shown in FIG. 2.
[0019] For example, a rubber extruder that coats the outer peripheral surface of a bead wire that is not coated with unvulcanized rubber with unvulcanized rubber is used as the unwinding unit 2. The bead wire Wr coated with unvulcanized rubber is continuously supplied to the molding drum 11 by the unwinding unit 2.
[0020] The forming drum 11 is a cylindrical body, and has a guide flange 11a at one end in the drum width direction. The bead wire Wr is wound and overlapped in a spiral shape around the outer circumferential surface of the forming drum 11, which is driven to rotate. The cutter 10 is disposed in the vicinity of the forming drum 11. The cutter 10 moves toward and away from the outer circumferential surface of the forming drum 11, and cuts the bead wire Wr to a required length on the forming drum 11 by moving toward it.
[0021] The straightening roll 5A has a conical shape and is rotatable about a central axis 5c. A bead wire Wr is wound around the straightening roll 5A. In this embodiment, a drive roller 3 and a support roller 4 are disposed facing each other on the path from the unwinding section 2 to the straightening roll 5A. The drive roller 3 is driven to rotate, so that the bead wire Wr is unwound from the unwinding section 2. The bead wire Wr is wound between the support roller 4 and the drive roller 3 and passes through, and then wound around the straightening roll 5A.
[0022] The wire guide 9a is disposed on the path from the setting roll 5A to the forming drum 11. For example, a rotating roller having a circumferential groove that continues in the circumferential direction on its outer circumferential surface is used as the wire guide 9a. The wire guide 9a is provided so as to be movable in the width direction of the forming drum 11. The bead wire Wr that has passed through the setting roll 5A is fitted into and guided by the circumferential groove of the wire guide 9a, and is supplied to a desired position in the width direction of the outer circumferential surface of the forming drum 11.
[0023] The holding unit 6 has a pair of holding rollers 6a rotatably supported by a roller frame 6b and arranged opposite to each other. The bead wire Wr is sandwiched between the opposing holding rollers 6a, and passes between the holding rollers 6a while its movement in the roller width direction is restricted. In this embodiment, the pair of opposing holding rollers 6a are arranged in front and rear positions of the setting roll 5A on the path. The holding unit 6 may have other configurations as long as it can hold the bead wire Wr moving from the payout unit 2 to the forming drum 11 and press it against the outer circumferential surface of the setting roll 5A.
[0024] The moving mechanism 7 has an actuator such as a hydraulic cylinder connected to the central shaft 5c of the stabilizing roll 5A. The cylinder rod of the moving mechanism 7 moves forward and backward, thereby moving the stabilizing roll 5A in the roll axis direction of the stabilizing roll 5A. The moving mechanism 7 may have other configurations as long as it can relatively move at least one of the stabilizing roll 5A and the holding unit 6 in the roll axis direction of the stabilizing roll 5A while pressing the bead wire Wr moving from the payout unit 2R to the forming drum 11 against the outer circumferential surface of the stabilizing roll 5A.
[0025] For example, the movement mechanism 7 can be configured by connecting a rod that is moved back and forth by a servo motor to the central axis 5c of the stabilizing roll 5A. In this embodiment, only the stabilizing roll 5A is moved by the movement mechanism 7, but only the holding unit 6 may be moved, or both the stabilizing roll 5A and the holding unit 6 may be moved to relatively move the stabilizing roll 5A in the roll axis direction.
[0026] The displacement sensor 8 is disposed in the vicinity of the setting roll 5A. The displacement sensor 8 detects the distance to the bead wire Wr at a position in the vicinity of the setting roll 5A (the distance in the roll axial direction of the setting roll 5A) in a non-contact manner. A laser sensor or the like is used as the displacement sensor 8. The detection data detected by the displacement sensor 8 is input to the control unit 12.
[0027] The control unit 12 controls the operation of the manufacturing apparatus 1. That is, the movements of the drive roller 3, the moving mechanism 7, the wire guide 9, the cutter 10, and the forming drum 11 are controlled by the control unit 12. A computer is used as the control unit 12. The moving speed of the bead wire Wr and shape data of the conical presetting roll 5A (outer diameter data at the position in the roll axial direction) are also input to the control unit 12.
[0028] Next, an example of a procedure for manufacturing the bead core B using this manufacturing apparatus 1 will be described.
[0029] 1 and 2, a single bead wire Wr is paid out from a payout section and wound around a support roller 4 and a drive roller 3. The bead wire Wr passes through the support roller 4 and the drive roller 3, and is then continuously wound around a presetting roll 5A.
[0030] The bead wire Wr passes through the setting roll 5A while being pinched by the holding rollers 6a at a position before and a position after the bead wire Wr passes through the setting roll 5A. The bead wire Wr held by the holding unit 6 in this manner is set by passing through the setting roll 5A while being pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the setting roll 5A.
[0031] The degree to which the bead wire Wr is formed (the magnitude of the radius of curvature) varies depending on the outer diameter of the outer peripheral surface of the forming roll 5A against which the bead wire Wr is pressed and contacted. In more detail, the larger the outer diameter of the forming roll 5A at the position where the bead wire Wr contacts, the larger the radius of curvature with which the bead wire Wr is formed, and the smaller the outer diameter, the smaller the radius of curvature with which the bead wire Wr is formed. Since the forming roll 5A has a conical shape, the degree to which the bead wire Wr is formed can be changed by changing the position in the roll axial direction of the forming roll 5A with which the bead wire Wr contacts.
[0032] Therefore, at least one of the holding unit 6 holding the bead wire Wr and the preforming roll 5A is moved relatively in the roll axis direction of the preforming roll 5A while pressing the bead wire Wr against the outer peripheral surface of the preforming roll 5A. This allows the bead wire Wr to be continuously preformed to a desired curvature. In this embodiment, as illustrated in FIG. 5, the preforming roll 5A is moved in the roll axis direction by the moving mechanism 7. While the bead wire Wr moves from the payout unit 2 to the forming drum 11, the preforming roll 5A preforms the bead wire Wr while changing the radius of curvature steplessly. Since the outer peripheral surface of the preforming roll 5A has a smooth conical shape, the bead wire Wr slides smoothly along the outer peripheral surface in the roll axis direction. In FIG. 5, the preforming roll 5A before being moved in the roll axis direction is indicated by a dashed line.
[0033] For example, the bead wire Wr is formed to have a smaller radius of curvature for each layer (B1, B2, B3, B4) constituting the bead core B from the winding start end Wra to the winding end Wrb of the bead wire Wr. Data on the desired state of forming (magnitude of radius of curvature) at a longitudinal position of the bead wire Wr is input to the control unit 12. Based on this data input in advance, detection data of the displacement sensor 8, and the moving speed of the bead wire Wr, the control unit 12 controls the moving mechanism 7 to move the forming roll 5A in the roll axial direction.
[0034] That is, one bead wire Wr passing through the forming roll 5A is pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the forming roll 5A while being moved relatively to the side where the outer diameter of the forming roll 5A becomes smaller for each layer (B1, B2, B3, B4) constituting the bead core B. As a result, the bead wire Wr is formed to a smaller radius of curvature for each layer (B1, B2, B3, B4) constituting the bead core B from the winding start end Wra to the winding end end Wrb. In other words, the part of the bead wire Wr corresponding to the innermost layer B1 constituting the bead core B is formed to have the largest radius of curvature, the parts of the bead wire Wr corresponding to the layers on the outer side are successively formed to have smaller radius of curvature, and the part of the bead wire Wr corresponding to the outermost layer B4 is formed to have the smallest radius of curvature.
[0035] When this condition of curling is defined with respect to the manufactured annular bead core B, the radius of curvature R1 of the first layer including the winding start end Wra of the bead wire Wr when left free is set to be larger than the radius R of the bead core B, and the radius of curvature R4 of the outermost layer (fourth layer) including the winding end Wrb of the bead wire Wr when left free is set to be smaller than the radius R of the bead core B. The radii of curvature R2 and R3 of each layer between the first layer and the outermost layer when left free are set to be larger than the radius R4 and smaller than the radius R1, and smaller than the radius of curvature of the adjacent layer on the inner circumferential side. Therefore, by curling the bead wire Wr, R1>radius R>R4 and R1>R2>R3>R4 are satisfied.
[0036] The radius of curvature of each layer when left free is the radius of the bead wire Wr measured in a state where the bead wire Wr is cut out from each layer of the bead core B formed in an annular shape and left free. That is, it is the same as the radius of curvature when left free defined in Patent Document 1. The radius R1 of the innermost layer B1 is, for example, more than 100% and not more than 200% of the radius R, and the radius R4 of the outermost layer B4 is, for example, 50% or more and not more than 95% of the radius R.
[0037] After being wound around the setting roll 5A and set, the bead wire Wr is guided by the wire guide 9 and supplied to a desired position in the width direction of the forming drum 11. That is, the bead wire Wr is supplied to the forming drum 1 while repeatedly moving back and forth in the drum width direction with the guide flange 11a of the forming drum 11 as one end in the width direction. As a result, the bead wire Wr is wound in a spiral shape around the outer circumferential surface of the forming drum 11 and formed into an annular shape. As a result, an annular bead core B as shown in Figs. 3 and 4 is manufactured.
[0038] A bead member is manufactured by joining a bead filler in an annular shape to the outer peripheral surface of the manufactured bead core B. A green tire is molded by a known method using this bead member, and the green tire is vulcanized by a known method to complete the tire.
[0039] This bead core B is formed into an annular shape by winding a single bead wire Wr in a spiral shape, so that the weight balance in the circumferential direction is suppressed, and the bead core B has excellent uniformity. In addition, the winding start end Wra of the bead wire Wr is formed with a relatively large radius of curvature, and the winding end end Wrb is formed with a relatively small radius of curvature, so that R1>radius R>R4, and therefore the winding start end Wra and the winding end end Wrb of the bead wire Wr are less likely to come apart in the bead core B manufactured into an annular shape. As a result, the bead core B can stably ensure good uniformity and has excellent shape stability.
[0040] Furthermore, the bead core B is manufactured by changing the degree of curling without stopping the movement of the bead wire Wr from the payout section 2 until the bead wire Wr is wound around the forming drum 11. There is no need to interrupt the movement of the bead wire Wr to change the degree of curling of the bead wire Wr as in the conventional technology. Therefore, this method is advantageous for efficiently manufacturing the bead core B compared to the conventional manufacturing method.
[0041] When this bead wire Wr is used to manufacture tires, it becomes possible to improve the uniformity of the manufactured tires. In addition, the use of this bead wire Wr also contributes to improving tire productivity.
[0042] In this embodiment, the bead wires Wr constituting the bead core B are further formed in layers so that R1>R2>R3>R4 is satisfied. Accordingly, the bead wires Wr in each layer are formed to maintain a bundle of the bead wires Wr in an annular shape, which is more advantageous in stably securing good uniformity.
[0043] When at least one of the holding unit 6 and the forming roll 5A is moved relatively in parallel to the roll axis direction of the forming roll 5A, the length that the bead wire Wr moves from the payout unit 2 to the forming drum 11 (length of the pass line) changes. That is, when the contact position between the bead wire Wr and the outer circumferential surface of the forming roll 5A is moved in a direction in which the outer diameter of the forming roll 5A becomes larger, this pass line becomes longer, and when it is moved in a direction in which the outer diameter of the forming roll 5A becomes smaller, this pass line becomes shorter.
[0044] Therefore, in order to keep the length of the pass line constant, it is advisable to move the preforming roll 5A in the roll axial direction along the inclination of the outer circumferential surface of the preforming roll 5A by the movement mechanism 7. More specifically, the preforming roll 5A is moved in a direction along the inclination of the outer circumferential surface of the preforming roll 5A on the side where the bead wire Wr abuts (the right side in FIG. 5 ) to suppress fluctuations in the length of the pass line. Maintaining a constant length of the pass line is advantageous in stabilizing the time required for the manufacturing process at a constant value, and is also advantageous in suppressing fluctuations in the tension acting on the bead wire Wr.
[0045] The conical shaping roll 5A is not limited to the form illustrated in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, and may be the form illustrated in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7. The shaping roll 5A illustrated in Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 has a plurality of rod-shaped bodies 5p arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction around the central axis 5c. These rod-shaped bodies 5p extend at an angle to the longitudinal direction of the central axis 5c, thereby forming the conical shaping roll 5A.
[0046] Another embodiment of the manufacturing apparatus 1 illustrated in Figures 8 and 9 has a forming roll 5B different from that of the previous embodiment. The other configurations are the same as those of the previous embodiment.
[0047] The shaping roll 5B is configured to be expandable and contractible, and the outer diameter of the outer peripheral surface is variable. The shaping roll 5B has a plurality of segments 5s arranged in the circumferential direction of a central shaft 5c, and a link mechanism connecting each of the segments 5s to the central shaft 5c.
[0048] The link mechanism uses a fluid cylinder or the like to slide along the central axis 5c and move each segment 5s toward and away from the central axis 5c, thereby expanding and contracting the forming roll 5B. In this embodiment, the outer diameter of the forming roll 5B changes continuously. The forming roll 5B may have any other configuration as long as the moving bead wire Wr can be expanded and contracted while being pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the forming roll 5B.
[0049] Next, an example of a procedure for manufacturing the annular bead core B using this manufacturing apparatus 1 will be described.
[0050] The procedure for manufacturing the bead core B is substantially the same as that of the previous embodiment, except for the movement of the setting roll 5B. In this manufacturing device 1, a single bead wire Wr moving from the payout section 2 toward the forming drum 11 is held by the holding section 6 (holding roller 6a). Then, the setting roll 5B is expanded and contracted while pressing the bead wire Wr against the outer circumferential surface of the setting roll 5B. This allows the bead wire Wr to be continuously set to a desired curvature.
[0051] 10 and 11, the bead wire Wr moving from the payout section 2 to the forming drum 11 is pressed against the outer circumferential surface of the setting roll 5A while passing through the setting roll 5B, which is then contracted to continuously set the radius of curvature while continuously varying the radius of curvature. As a result, the bead wire Wr is set to a smaller radius of curvature in each layer (B1, B2, B3, B4) from the winding start end Wra to the winding end Wrb. In FIG. 11, the setting roll 5B before contraction is indicated by a dashed line.
[0052] Data on the desired degree of bending (magnitude of radius of curvature) at a longitudinal position of the bead wire Wr is input to the control unit 12. Based on this data input in advance and the moving speed of the bead wire Wr, the control unit 12 controls the degree of diameter expansion of the bending roll 5B. As a result, the bead wire Wr is bent to a smaller radius of curvature for each layer (B1, B2, B3, B4) constituting the bead core B from the winding start end Wra to the winding end end Wrb. By bending the bead wire Wr, R1>radius R>R4 and R1>R2>R3>R4 are satisfied.
[0053] The manufacturing apparatus 1 of this embodiment can also provide the same effects as those of the previous embodiment. [Explanation of symbols]
