[0003] [Patent Document 1] JP 2020-117144 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] In an airplane, a generator is attached to a jet engine, which is an example of an external device that operates, and the electrical system inside the aircraft is operated by the power supplied from the generator. In a large engine, a generator with high generating capacity can be used, and sufficient power can be supplied. However, in a small engine, it is difficult to use a generator with high generating capacity. For this reason, the emergence of an auxiliary power generating device is desired in order to provide a stable power supply to the electrical system inside the aircraft.

[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above problems, and has an object to provide a power generating device capable of efficiently generating power by utilizing an operating external device. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has the following configuration.

[0007] (1) A power generation device that generates electricity by utilizing exhaust heat from an operating external device (e.g., a jet engine 2), A working medium line (e.g., piping 30 to 38, 40) through which the working medium circulates; A first heat exchange unit (e.g., a heating unit 12) provided in the working medium line and disposed in an exhaust section of the external device to vaporize the working medium; A turbine section (e.g., a turbine spindle 16) provided downstream of the first heat exchange section in the working medium line and having a turbine (e.g., a rotor blade turbine 108) rotated by the vaporized working medium; a generator (e.g., generator 18) that generates electricity by rotating the turbine; a condensation section (for example, a condensation region 53) provided downstream of the turbine section in the working medium line for liquefying the working medium.

[0008] According to the invention of (1), since the first heat exchanger is disposed in the exhaust part of the external device, which has a relatively high temperature, it is possible to efficiently vaporize the working medium. This makes it possible to efficiently generate electricity by utilizing the exhaust heat of the external device in operation.

[0009] (2) In paragraph (1), Further comprising a second heat exchange unit (e.g., a heating unit 10) provided downstream of the condenser unit and upstream of the first heat exchange unit in the working medium line, the second heat exchange unit heating the liquefied working medium; The power generation device is characterized in that the second heat exchanger is connected to a rotating shaft provided in the external device and is disposed in a main generator (e.g., main generator 3) that generates power by rotating the rotating shaft as the external device operates.

[0010] According to the invention of (2), since the second heat exchange unit is disposed in the main generator that generates electricity by operating an external device, the liquid working medium is heated by the heat of the main generator while the main generator is cooled. In this way, since the liquid working medium is heated in the second heat exchange unit before moving to the first heat exchange unit, the working medium is easily vaporized in the first heat exchange unit, and it is possible to improve the power generation efficiency.

[0011] (3) In paragraph (1) or (2), The power generating device further comprises a third heat exchange section (for example, a heating section 20) in the working medium line, which exchanges heat with the generator and heats the liquefied working medium.

[0012] According to the invention of (3), the liquid working medium is heated by the heat of the generator that generates electricity using the working medium, while the generator is cooled. In this way, the liquid working medium is heated in the third heat exchange section before moving to the first heat exchange section, so that the working medium is easily vaporized in the first heat exchange section, and it is possible to improve the power generation efficiency.

[0013] (4) In any of paragraphs (1) to (3), The turbine section includes: An outer casing (e.g., outer casing 101) that includes an inlet portion (e.g., inlet pipe 103) for introducing the vaporized working medium and an outlet portion (e.g., outlet pipe 109) for discharging the working medium introduced from the inlet portion, and that houses the turbine therein; A guide member (e.g., a guide body 106) that is housed inside the outer casing and forms a flow path through which the working medium introduced from the introduction portion flows toward the turbine; A rotating shaft (e.g., a rotating shaft 100) fixed to the turbine and transmitting the rotation of the turbine to the generator; and The working medium introduced from the inlet portion passes through the flow path to rotate the turbine and is exhausted from the outlet portion, A power generating apparatus, wherein the flow path narrows toward the turbine.

[0014] According to the invention of (4), the flow path of the working medium narrows toward the turbine, so that the working medium is accelerated before it reaches the turbine. This makes it possible to rotate the turbine efficiently, and improves the power generation efficiency.

[0015] (5) In paragraph (4), The power generating apparatus further comprises a coupling member (eg, coupling member 110) that connects the rotating shafts of the two turbine sections.

[0016] According to the invention (5), since rotation is transmitted to the rotating shaft by multiple turbine sections, it is possible to rotate the rotating shaft efficiently, and it is possible to improve the power generation efficiency. Effect of the Invention

[0017] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a power generating device capable of efficiently generating power by utilizing an external device. [Brief description of the drawings]

A piping joint 65 that communicates between the power generation region 51 and the turbine region 52, a piping joint 66 that communicates between the turbine region 52 and the condensation region 53, and piping joints 67 and 68 that communicate between the condensation region 53 and the power generation region 51 are provided on a partition wall 54 inside the box body 50.

[0025] The heating section 10 exchanges heat between the heat of the main generator 3 and the working medium. In this embodiment, a pipe is connected to an inlet of a flow path through which drain water provided in the main generator 3 passes and a joint 60, and a pipe is connected to an outlet of the flow path and a joint 61. The main generator 3 is cooled and the working medium is heated by passing the working medium through the flow path through which the drain water passes.

[0026] Heating unit 12 is disposed in the exhaust section of jet engine 2, and exchanges heat between the working medium and the heat of the exhaust section heated by the exhaust. Heating unit 12 is a coiled pipe, and is disposed so as to circle the outer periphery of the exhaust section of jet engine 2. The inlet of the pipe is connected to joint 62, and the outlet of the pipe is connected to joint 63.

[0027] Tank 14 stores the working medium vaporized by heating section 12, and the inlet of tank 14 is connected to fitting 63 via piping 30, and the outlet of tank 14 is connected to fitting 65 via piping 31.

[0028] A check valve 70, a solenoid valve 71, and a pressure gauge 72 are arranged in this order in the pipe 30 from the joint 63 side toward the tank 14. A solenoid valve 73 is arranged in the pipe 31.

[0029] The turbine spindle 16 rotates the turbine by introducing the vaporized working medium from the tank 14. The rotation of the turbine is transmitted to the rotor of the generator 18 via a rotating shaft 100 (see FIG. 4). The turbine spindle 16 is connected to a joint 65 via a pipe 32, and the working medium is introduced from the pipe 32. In the pipe 32, a pressure regulating valve 74 and a pressure gauge 75 are arranged in this order from the joint 65 toward the turbine spindle 16.

[0030] In addition, the turbine spindle 16 is connected to a joint 66 via piping 33, and the gaseous working medium introduced into the turbine spindle 16 is used to rotate the turbine and then sent from the piping 33 to the condensation region 53 via the joint 66.

[0031] The condensation region 53 is a region in which the gaseous working medium discharged from the turbine spindle 16 is liquefied by natural cooling and condensation. In the condensation region 53, the upper end of the pipe 34 is connected to the joint 67, and the lower end is disposed in a region in which the liquefied working medium is stored. The pipe 35 branches off from the pipe 34, and the end of the pipe 35 is disposed on the upper side inside the storage tank 22. A check valve 84 is disposed between the end of the pipe 34 and the branch point between the pipe 34 and the pipe 35. The pipe 36 is connected to the joint 68, and the end of the pipe 36 is disposed on the lower side inside the storage tank 22.

[0032] In the power generation region 51, the joint 67 and the joint 61 are connected by a pipe 37, and a check valve 76 and a solenoid valve 77 are arranged in this order in the pipe 37 from the joint 67 toward the joint 61. A pipe 38 branches off from a portion of the pipe 37 between the joint 61 and the solenoid valve 77, and an end of the pipe 38 is connected to the joint 62. A pipe 39 branches off from the pipe 38, and an end of the pipe 39 is connected to the joint 64. A check valve 79 and a solenoid valve 80 are arranged in this order in the pipe 38 between the branching portion with the pipe 37 and the branching portion with the pipe 39 toward the branching portion with the pipe 39. A solenoid valve 78 is arranged in the pipe 39. In addition, the joint 68 and the joint 60 are connected by a pipe 40, and a pressure gauge 81, a check valve 82, a heating unit 20, and a check valve 83 are arranged in this order in the pipe 40 from the joint 68 toward the joint 60.

[0033] The heating unit 20 is disposed in the generator 18, and exchanges heat between the heat generated by the generator 18 and the working medium. The heating unit 20 is, for example, a coiled pipe, and the liquid working medium heated by the heat of the generator 18 is sent to the heating unit 10 via the pipe 40.

[0034] As described above, according to this embodiment, a working medium line in which the working medium circulates is formed by the pipes 30-38, 40, and this working medium line is provided with the heating unit 10, the heating unit 12, the tank 14, the turbine spindle 16, the heating unit 20, and the storage tank 22. In the event of a malfunction in the working medium line, the solenoid valve 78 can be opened to reduce the pressure inside the working medium line and to release the gaseous working medium to the outside.

[0035] [Power Generation Device 1 Operation] Next, the operation of the power generating device 1 will be described. First, the working medium is heated by passing through the heating section 10. In this embodiment, an alternative freon is used as the working medium, and since the temperature of the exterior of the main generator 3 is about 100 to 150°C, the working medium is vaporized. The vaporized working medium flows through the piping 38 to the heating section 12. In this embodiment, since the outer periphery of the exhaust section of the jet engine 2 is about 600 to 800°C, the vaporized working medium is heated in the heating section 12, and the working medium that has expanded and increased in pressure is replenished to the tank 14 through the piping 30. Then, the working medium replenished to the tank 14 is supplied in a compressed gas state to the turbine spindle 16 through the piping 32 at a pressure set by the pressure regulating valve 74. The turbine of the turbine spindle 16 is rotated by this working medium, and the rotation is transmitted to the rotor of the generator 18, causing the rotor to rotate, causing the generator 18 to generate electricity.

[0036] The working medium that rotates the turbine flows in a gaseous state to the condensation region 53. The gaseous working medium naturally cooled in the condensation region 53 is liquefied and stored in the condensation region 53. The liquid working medium stored in the condensation region 53 is sucked up by the piping 35 due to the pressure in the condensation region 53 and stored in the storage tank 22. Here, the check valve 76 and the solenoid valve 77 are open, and the liquid working medium in the storage tank 22 is pushed out by the pressure of the liquid working medium that is not vaporized in the heating unit 10 and is supplied from the piping 37, and the liquid working medium flows into the heating unit 20 through the piping 36 and is heated. The liquid working medium heated by the heating unit 20 flows toward the heating unit 10 through the piping 40. Then, the working medium vaporized in the heating unit 10 flows to the heating unit 12 through the piping 38, and the working medium that is not vaporized in the heating unit 10 is supplied in a liquid state to the storage tank 22 through the piping 37 and the piping 35.

[0037] [Configuration of Turbine Spindle 16] Next, the configuration of the turbine spindle 16 will be described. 2, the turbine spindle 16 includes a turbine spindle 16a and a turbine spindle 16b. A rotating shaft 100 of the turbine spindle 16a is connected to the generator 18, and the turbine spindle 16b is connected to the rear part of the turbine spindle 16a. For ease of explanation, the side of the turbine spindle 16 that faces the generator 18 will be referred to as the front, and the opposite side will be referred to as the rear.

[0038] Fig. 3 is a front view of the turbine spindle 16, and Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line XX in Fig. 3. The turbine spindle 16a includes a rotating shaft 100, an outer casing 101, a bearing 102, an inlet pipe 103, a compressor 104, a flow regulator 105, a guide body 106, a stationary vane turbine 107, a moving blade turbine 108, and an exhaust pipe 109.

[0039] The outer casing 101 is a hollow member in the shape of a rotor, with a cylindrical central portion, funnel-shaped sides on both sides of the central portion, and closed ends. The rotating shaft 100 is disposed inside the outer casing 101. In this case, the central axis of the outer casing 101 and the central axis of the rotating shaft 100 coincide with each other. Holes are formed in the center of both ends of the outer casing 101, and bearings 102 that rotatably support the ends of the rotating shaft 100 are installed in the holes. The outer casing 101 also has an extension 101a extending cylindrically at the rear, and the extension 101a is formed detachably at the end on the rear side of the outer casing 101.

[0040] Furthermore, inside the outer casing 101, a compressor 104, a flow straightener 105, a guide body 106, a stator turbine 107, and a rotor blade turbine 108 are arranged in this order on the central axis from the front side to the rear side. A rotating shaft 100 passes through the center of these components, and the compressor 104 and the rotor blade turbine 108 are fixed to the rotating shaft 100, while the flow straightener 105, the guide body 106, and the stator vane turbine 107 are not fixed to the rotating shaft 100.

[0041] Four introduction pipes 103 are provided on the outer side of the outer casing 101 at the end on the front side. The introduction pipes 103 are connected to the piping 32 (see FIG. 1) extending from the pressure gauge 75, and serve as inlets for introducing the vaporized working medium into the outer casing 101.

[0042] The compressor 104 is a rotor having blades 104a extending obliquely backward from the front. The vaporized working medium introduced from the introduction pipe 103 is transferred backward while being accelerated by the rotation of the compressor 104.

[0043] The flow regulator 105 regulates the flow direction of the working medium so that the working medium that has passed through the compressor 104 flows stably backward. The guide body 106 forms a flow path A between itself and the inner wall surface of the outer casing 101, through which the working medium that has passed through the flow straightener 105 flows. The guide body 106 is a funnel-shaped member, and is disposed inside the rear funnel-shaped portion of the outer casing 101. Therefore, the working medium that flows through the flow path A formed by the outer casing 101 and the guide body 106 is concentrated toward the central axis from the front side to the rear side. Furthermore, the width of the flow path A gradually narrows from the front side to the rear side. Therefore, the working medium that has passed through the guide body 106 is accelerated and sent to the stator vane turbine 107.

[0044] The stationary vane turbine 107 and the moving blade turbine 108 have blades against which the accelerated working medium hits, and the working medium is rectified by the stationary vane turbine 107 and sent to the moving blade turbine 108. The moving blade turbine 108 rotates as the working medium hits the blades.

[0045] Four discharge pipes 109 are provided on the outside of the outer casing 101 at the rear end. The discharge pipes 109 are connected to the piping 33 (see FIG. 1) connected to the joint 66, and serve as outlets for discharging the vaporized working medium inside the outer casing 101.

[0046] The turbine spindle 16b has the same configuration as the turbine spindle 16a, and therefore the same members are denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof will be omitted. As shown in FIG. 4, a cylindrical coupling member 110 is fixed to the rear end of the rotating shaft 100 of the turbine spindle 16a, and the rear part of the outer casing 101 of the turbine spindle 16a and the front part of the outer casing 101 of the turbine spindle 16b are connected to each other while the front end of the rotating shaft 100 of the turbine spindle 16b is inserted into the coupling member 110. Then, the front end of the rotating shaft 100 of the turbine spindle 16b is fixed to the coupling member 110. Both end faces of the rotating shaft 100 are notched when viewed in the axial direction, and flat parts are formed on parts of both end ends of the rotating shaft 100. The insertion opening of the coupling member 110 is also notched when viewed in the axial direction. Therefore, the coupling member 110 is movable in the axial direction relative to the end of the rotating shaft 100, but when the rotating shaft 100 rotates, the coupling member 110 also rotates integrally with the rotating shaft 100.

[0047] In the turbine spindle 16b, similarly to the turbine spindle 16a, the inlet pipe 103 is connected to the pipe 32 (see FIG. 1), and the outlet pipe 109 is connected to the pipe 33 (see FIG. 1).

[0048] Next, the operation of the turbine spindle 16 will be described. In FIG. 4, arrows in the outer casing 101 indicate the flow of the working medium. The gaseous working medium expanded and pressurized in the tank 14 is introduced into the outer casing 101 through an inlet pipe 103 connected to a pipe 32 (see FIG. 1). The introduced working medium is further compressed by a compressor 104, accelerated by passing through a flow path A formed by the outer casing 101 and a guide body 106, and the flow is adjusted by a stationary vane turbine 107 before being sent to a rotor blade turbine 108. Then, pressure is applied to the blades of the rotor blade turbine 108 by the gaseous working medium, causing the rotor blade turbine 108 to rotate. The working medium that has rotated the rotor blade turbine 108 is discharged from an exhaust pipe 109 to the outside of the outer casing 101 and sent to the condensation region 53 through a pipe 33 (see FIG. 1).

[0049] As a result, power is transmitted from the turbine spindle 16a and the turbine spindle 16b to the rotating shaft 100 connected to the rotor of the generator 18, causing the rotor of the generator 18 to rotate, thereby generating electricity.

[0050] [Effects] According to the present embodiment configured as described above, since the heating unit 12 is disposed in the exhaust section where the temperature is relatively high in the jet engine 2, it becomes possible to efficiently heat and vaporize the working medium. This makes it possible to efficiently generate power by utilizing the exhaust heat of the jet engine 2.

[0051] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the heating unit 10 is disposed in the main generator 3 that generates power by operating the jet engine 2, so that the liquid working medium is heated by the heat of the main generator 3 while the main generator 3 is cooled. In this way, the liquid working medium is heated by the heating unit 10 before moving to the heating unit 12, so that the working medium is more likely to vaporize in the heating unit 12, and efficient power generation can be achieved by utilizing the exhaust heat of the main generator 3 in addition to the exhaust heat of the jet engine 2.

[0052] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the liquid working medium is heated by the heat of the generator 18 that generates electricity using the working medium, while the generator 18 is cooled. In this way, the working medium liquefied by the condensation region 53 is heated by the generator 18 before moving to the heating unit 12, so that the working medium is more likely to vaporize in the heating unit 12, and it is possible to improve the power generation efficiency.

[0053] Furthermore, according to this embodiment, the flow path of the working medium narrows toward the stationary vane turbine 107 and the moving blade turbine 108, so that the working medium is accelerated before reaching the turbine. This makes it possible to rotate the moving blade turbine 108 efficiently, and improves power generation efficiency.

[0054] In particular, according to this embodiment, electricity can be generated efficiently by utilizing the exhaust heat of a jet engine 2 that can be mounted on a small airplane, making it possible to stably supply electricity to the electrical system within the small airplane, and further making it possible to increase the number of electrical systems that can be mounted on a small airplane.

[0055] [Variation 1 of the turbine spindle 16] The above-mentioned turbine spindle 16 is formed by connecting turbine spindle 16a and turbine spindle 16b, which have the same configuration, while the turbine spindle 16 of variant example 1 is formed by connecting turbine spindle 16c, which has a different configuration from turbine spindle 16a, to turbine spindle 16a. The turbine spindle 16c is different in configuration from the turbine spindle 16a in that the turbine spindle 16c does not have a member corresponding to the compressor 104 in the turbine spindle 16a.

[0056] Fig. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing the internal configuration of the first modified example of the turbine spindle 16. Since the turbine spindle 16a has been described using Figs. 3 and 4, only the turbine spindle 16c will be described.

[0057] The turbine spindle 16 c includes a rotating shaft 200 , an outer casing 201 , a bearing 202 , an inlet pipe 203 , a guide body 206 , a stationary vane turbine 207 , a moving vane turbine 208 , and an exhaust pipe 209 .

[0058] The outer casing 201 is a cylindrical hollow member. The rotating shaft 200 is disposed inside the outer casing 201. In this case, the central axis of the outer casing 201 and the central axis of the rotating shaft 200 coincide with each other. Holes are formed in the center of both ends of the outer casing 201, and bearings 202 that rotatably support the ends of the rotating shaft 200 are installed in the holes. The outer casing 201 also includes an extension 201a that extends cylindrically at the rear. The extension 201a has the same shape as the extension 101a, and is formed detachably at the rear end of either the outer casing 101 or the outer casing 201.

[0059] Furthermore, inside the outer casing 201, a guide body 206, a stator vane turbine 207, and a rotor blade turbine 208 are arranged on the central axis from the front side to the rear side. A rotating shaft 200 passes through the center of these members, and the rotor blade turbine 108 is fixed to the rotating shaft 200, but is not fixed to the guide body 206 and the stator vane turbine 207.

[0060] Four introduction pipes 203 are provided on the outer side of the outer casing 201 at the end on the front side. The introduction pipes 203 are connected to the piping 32 (see FIG. 1) extending from the pressure gauge 75, and serve as inlets for introducing the vaporized working medium into the outer casing 201.

[0061] The guide body 206 forms a flow path through which the working medium flows between itself and the inner wall surface of the outer casing 201. The guide body 206 is a funnel-shaped member, and is arranged so as to slope upward from the rear side to the front side. Therefore, the width of a flow path B formed by the outer casing 201 and the guide body 206 gradually narrows from the front side to the rear side. Therefore, the working medium that has passed through the guide body 206 is accelerated and sent to the stator vane turbine 207.

[0062] The stationary vane turbine 207 and the moving blade turbine 208 have blades against which the accelerated working medium hits, and the working medium is rectified by the stationary vane turbine 207 and sent to the moving blade turbine 208. The moving blade turbine 208 rotates as the working medium hits the blades.

[0063] Four discharge pipes 209 are provided on the outer side of the outer casing 201 at the rear end. The discharge pipes 209 are connected to the piping 33 (see FIG. 1) connected to the joint 66, and serve as outlets for discharging the vaporized working medium inside the outer casing 201.

[0064] 5, a cylindrical coupling member 110 is fixed to the rear end of the rotating shaft 100 of the turbine spindle 16a, and the front end of the rotating shaft 200 of the turbine spindle 16c is inserted into the coupling member 110 to connect the rear end of the outer casing 101 of the turbine spindle 16a to the front end of the outer casing 201 of the turbine spindle 16c. Then, the front end of the rotating shaft 200 of the turbine spindle 16c is fixed to the coupling member 110. Both ends of the rotating shaft 200 have the same shape as both ends of the rotating shaft 100.

[0065] In the turbine spindle 16c, the inlet pipe 203 is connected to the pipe 32 (see FIG. 1), and the exhaust pipe 209 is connected to the pipe 33 (see FIG. 1).

[0066] According to the first modification configured in this manner, the compressor 104 used in the turbine spindle 16b shown in FIG. 4 is eliminated, which makes it possible to simplify the configuration and reduce costs accordingly.

[0067] [Variation 2 of the turbine spindle 16] The second modified example of the turbine spindle 16 is formed by connecting two turbine spindles 16c shown in FIG.

[0068] Fig. 6 is a front view of the second modified example of the turbine spindle 16. Fig. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken along line YY in Fig. 6. The turbine spindle 16c is as described with reference to Fig. 4, and therefore description thereof will be omitted.

[0069] In the second modification of the turbine spindle 16, a cylindrical coupling member 110 is fixed to the rear end of the rotating shaft 200 of one turbine spindle 16c, and a front end of the rotating shaft 200 of the other turbine spindle 16c is inserted into the coupling member 110 to connect the rear part of the outer casing 201 of one turbine spindle 16a to the front part of the outer casing 201 of the other turbine spindle 16c. Then, the front end of the rotating shaft 200 of the other turbine spindle 16c is fixed to the coupling member 110. In this way, the second modification of the turbine spindle 16 is configured. Then, the rotating shaft 200 of one turbine spindle 16c is connected to the generator 18.

[0070] According to the second modification configured as described above, the compressor 104 used in the turbine spindles 16a and 16b shown in FIG. 4 is eliminated, which makes it possible to simplify the configuration and reduce costs accordingly.

[0071] Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments. For example, in the above-mentioned embodiments, a fluorocarbon alternative is used as the working medium, but the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, water may be used. Also, in the above-mentioned embodiments, the working medium is passed through a flow path through which drain water flows in the main generator 3, but piping constituting the heating unit 10 may be installed in a high-temperature portion of the exterior of the main generator 3.
