Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a disimpaction bag used when performing disimpaction. [Background technology]
[0002] Disimpaction is a procedure to assist with defecation for people who have difficulty defecating on their own.
[0003] In a typical disimpaction procedure, a practitioner wearing gloves made of synthetic rubber or the like inserts his or her fingers into the gloves into the anus of the person to be disimpacted. The practitioner then uses his or her fingers to scrape out the stool that has accumulated in the rectum of the person to be disimpacted, and drops it into a paper diaper placed under the buttocks, for example.
[0004] In such a general disimpaction procedure, scattering of feces and spreading of odor are problems. In response to this, Patent Document 1 discloses a disimpaction bag that can be attached around the anus. This disimpaction bag has a bag part, and the bag part can be attached around the anus to cover the anus. A finger can be inserted into the anus through a finger insertion part formed in the bag part, and the stool scooped out with the finger can be stored inside the bag part. This can suppress scattering of feces, etc.
[0005] However, the disimpaction bag of Patent Document 1 has a flange-shaped adhesive part around the opening of the cylindrical bag part that is open at one end, but this adhesive part is formed in a circular shape. Therefore, it is difficult to fit the shape of the buttocks, and the gap between the disimpaction bag and the buttocks may become large. In addition, since a sack-shaped finger insertion part is provided, the working sensation of the fingertips is different from the conventional method of wearing gloves, and the usability may be reduced. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0022] A disimpaction bag according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0023] (Configuration of the disimpaction bag) Fig. 1 shows a front view of a disimpaction bag 1 according to one embodiment. Fig. 2 shows a rear view of the disimpaction bag 1. The disimpaction bag 1 is used when disimpaction is performed on a subject in a lateral position. The subject is, for example, an inpatient or elderly person who has difficulty defecating on his / her own, but it broadly refers to anyone who will undergo disimpaction treatment, regardless of age, health condition, sex, etc.
[0024] 1 and 2, the disimpaction bag 1 includes a bag body 1b, and a first attachment part 41 and a second attachment part 42 provided on the bag body 1b. When using the disimpaction bag 1, the disimpaction bag 1 is attached to the buttocks of a person to be disimpacted via the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42. In Fig. 2, for the sake of convenience, a number of wavy lines are applied to the areas where the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42 are provided.
[0025] First, the bag body 1b will be described. The bag body 1b has a top sheet 10 and a back sheet 20, which are joined together to form a storage section 30 that opens upward. Reference numeral 31 in Figs. 1 and 2 indicates an opening of the storage section 30 that opens upward. When the disimpaction bag 1 is attached to a person who is to undergo disimpaction, the opening 31 of the storage section 30 faces upward so as to receive from above the stool scraped out by disimpaction. The storage section 30 receives the stool through the opening 31.
[0026] The top sheet 10 includes an upper edge 11, a lower edge 12 located opposite the upper edge 11, and a left edge 13L and a right edge 13R located between the ends of the upper edge 11 and the lower edge 12. The back sheet 20 also includes an upper edge 21, a lower edge 22 located opposite the upper edge 21, and a left edge 23L and a right edge 23R located between the ends of the upper edge 21 and the lower edge 22.
[0027] 1 and 2, reference numeral 11p indicates the upper portion of the topsheet 10 including the upper edge 11, and reference numeral 12p indicates the lower portion of the topsheet 10 including the lower edge 12. Reference numeral 13Lp indicates the left side of the topsheet 10 including the left edge 13L, and reference numeral 13Rp indicates the right side of the topsheet 10 including the right edge 13R. Similarly, reference numeral 21p indicates the upper portion of the backsheet 20 including the upper edge 21, and reference numeral 22p indicates the lower portion of the backsheet 20 including the lower edge 22. Reference numeral 23Lp indicates the left side of the backsheet 20 including the left edge 23L, and reference numeral 23Rp indicates the right side of the backsheet 20 including the right edge 23R.
[0028] The bag body 1b includes a joint 32 that joins the lower parts (12p, 22p) of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 and the parts extending upward from the lower parts (12p, 22p) on both sides (13Lp, 13Rp and 23Lp, 23Rp) of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20. The storage section 30 is defined by the joint 32. The joint 32 is generally U-shaped.
[0029] In this embodiment, the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are made of a thermoplastic resin, and the joint 32 is formed by heat sealing the overlapping top sheet 10 and back sheet 20. The heat sealing between the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 may be performed by heating with a heat sealer or by ultrasonic bonding. The joint 32 may be formed by bonding the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 with an adhesive or the like. More specifically, the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are made of a soft thermoplastic resin, and the bag body 1b has flexibility.
[0030] The storage section 30 is formed in an inverted trapezoid shape tapering downwards, which improves the ease of use of the disimpaction bag 1. However, the shapes of the joint section 32 and the storage section 30 are not particularly limited.
[0031] In this embodiment, the lower edges (12, 22) of the topsheet 10 and the backsheet 20 have the same shape. In addition, the portions of both side edges (13L, 13R and 23L, 23R) of the topsheet 10 and the backsheet 20 that extend upward from the lower edges (12, 22) also have the same shape.
[0032] The top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are overlapped with their respective lower edges (12, 22) coinciding with each other, and with partial ranges of both side edges (13L, 13R and 23L, 23R) extending upward from the lower edges (12, 22) coinciding with each other, and in this state, the above-mentioned joint 32 is formed. Therefore, the lower edge 12 of the top sheet 10 and the lower edge 22 of the back sheet 20 do not protrude from each other. Even in partial ranges extending upward from the lower edges (12, 22) of both side edges (13L, 13R and 23L, 23R) of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20, one of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 does not protrude from the other.
[0033] On the other hand, the upper edge 11 of the topsheet 10 is located above the upper edge 21 of the backsheet 20, and the topsheet 10 protrudes upward beyond the upper edge 21 of the backsheet 20. As a result, the topsheet 10 includes a protruding portion 10e that protrudes upward beyond the upper edge 21 of the backsheet 20. In other words, the vertical dimension of the topsheet 10 is greater than the vertical dimension of the backsheet 20.
[0034] Next, the first attachment portion 41 and the second attachment portion 42 will be described. Fig. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the disimpaction bag 1 taken along line III-III in Fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows a schematic cross-sectional view of the disimpaction bag 1 in a state in which the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are pulled apart from each other to expand the internal space of the storage section 30 of the bag body 1b.
[0035] 1 to 3, the first attachment portion 41 is provided on an upper portion 11p of the top sheet 10. The second attachment portion 42 is provided on an upper portion 21p of the back sheet 20. The first attachment portion 41 is a portion that is attached to the upper one of the left and right buttocks of a person to be disimpacted in a lateral position, and the second attachment portion 42 is a portion that is attached to the lower one of the left and right buttocks of a person to be disimpacted in a lateral position.
[0036] Since the topsheet 10 overhangs above the upper edge 21 of the backsheet 20, the first attachment portion 41 is located above the second attachment portion 42. More specifically, the first attachment portion 41 is provided in the overhanging portion 10e including the upper portion 11p of the topsheet 10, and is located above the upper edge 21 of the backsheet 20 of the topsheet 10.
[0037] Fig. 3 shows buttocks 100 (corresponding to left and right buttocks) of a person to be disimpacted, with reference numeral 100L indicating the left buttock and reference numeral 100R indicating the right buttock. In the example of Fig. 3, the right buttock 100R is shown positioned higher than the left buttock 100L. When using the disimpaction bag 1 in this situation, the first attachment part 41 is attached to the right buttock 100R, and the second attachment part 42 is attached to the left buttock 100L.
[0038] More specifically, the first attachment portion 41 is provided on the upper part of the inner surface of the top sheet 10 facing the back sheet 20. The first attachment portion 41 is provided on the upper part of the inner surface of the top sheet 10 so as to extend from the left edge 13L to the right edge 13R of the top sheet 10. The first attachment portion 41 is formed in a band shape having a longitudinal direction in the left-right direction. The second attachment portion 42 is provided on the upper part of the outer surface of the back sheet 20 opposite to the surface facing the top sheet 10. The second attachment portion 42 is provided on the upper part of the outer surface of the back sheet 20 so as to extend from the left edge 23L to the right edge 23R of the back sheet 20. The second attachment portion 42 is also formed in a band shape having a longitudinal direction in the left-right direction.
[0039] 1 and 2, the joints 32 on both side portions (13Lp, 13Rp and 23Lp, 23Rp) of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are spaced downward from the first attachment portion 41 and the second attachment portion 42. This ensures flexibility of the bag body 1b, making it easier to attach the first attachment portion 41 and the second attachment portion 42 to the buttocks 100L, 100R.
[0040] The first and second attachment parts 41 and 42 are made of an adhesive material, but the material is not particularly limited. In the present embodiment, the first and second attachment parts 41 and 42 are made of Karaya rubber, but may be made of other rubber-based adhesives, acrylic-based adhesives, silicone-based adhesives, urethane-based adhesives, or materials with excellent biocompatibility.
[0041] At least one of the first attachment portion 41 and the second attachment portion 42 (both in this example) is formed in a curved shape concave downward as shown in Figures 1 and 2. Similarly, the upper edge 11 of the top sheet 10 and the upper edge 21 of the back sheet 20 are also formed in a curved shape concave downward. In detail, the second attachment portion 42 has a shape that is more concave downward than the first attachment portion 41, and the upper edge 21 of the back sheet 20 has a shape that is more concave downward than the upper edge 11 of the top sheet 10. However, such shapes may be appropriately selected depending on the dimensional ratio between the disimpaction bag 1 and the buttocks.
[0042] Next, details of the disimpaction bag 1 will be described. The top sheet 10 has a finger through portion 14 through which the finger of the practitioner performing the disimpaction can pass. In this embodiment, the finger through portion 14 includes a through hole 14a that passes through the top sheet 10, and a notch 14c that is recessed from one of the side edges of the top sheet 10 (the right edge 13R in this example) to the other (the left edge 13L in this example). The finger through portion 14 is a portion of the top sheet 10 located above the storage section 30, and is provided below the first attachment section 41.
[0043] After the disimpaction bag 1 is attached to the person to be disimpacted via the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42, the practitioner who will perform the disimpaction can perform the disimpaction procedure by putting on gloves and passing his / her finger through the through hole 14a. On the other hand, the practitioner who will perform the disimpaction can also wear gloves in the same way, stretch the notch 14c with his / her finger to a position where disimpaction is easy, and then perform the disimpaction procedure.
[0044] More specifically, the through hole 14a of the finger through portion 14 is located at or near the center in the left-right direction of the overhanging portion 10e, and more specifically, when the back sheet 20 side is viewed from the top sheet 10, as shown in Fig. 1, the through hole 14a is provided at a position shifted to the left of the center of the overhanging portion 10e. The shape of the through hole 14a is not particularly limited, but in this embodiment, it is formed in a circular shape. On the other hand, the notch 14c is provided at a position below the overhanging portion 10e in a portion of the top sheet 10 located above the storage section 30.
[0045] As described above, the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are made of a thermoplastic resin. In this embodiment, the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are made of a thermoplastic resin that is an elastic material. When the through hole 14a is formed slightly smaller than a finger, the finger inserted into the through hole 14a can widen the through hole 14a and be in close contact with the top sheet 10. When a finger is passed through the notch 14c, the portion of the top sheet 10 around the notch 14c can be stretched in a restorable manner, and the finger can be inserted into the anus. In consideration of elasticity and heat sealing, the material of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 may be urethane, polyvinyl chloride, nitrile rubber, latex, etc. On the other hand, when only the heat sealing is important, the material of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 may be polyethylene, etc.
[0046] Furthermore, when looking at the backsheet 20 from the topsheet 10 (i.e., when viewed from the front), the right side of the upper edge of the backsheet 20 located on the right side is located higher than the opposite left side of the upper edge. Furthermore, the upper edge 21 of the backsheet 20 is curved so as to approach the first attachment portion 41 of the topsheet 10 as it approaches the right end from the center. This allows the corner 24 where the upper edge 21 and the right edge 23R of the backsheet 20 intersect to be sandwiched between the left and right thighs, and the attachment state of the disimpaction bag 1 can be stabilized.
[0047] The disimpaction bag 1 according to the present embodiment is designed to be suitable for disimpaction of a disimpaction subject in a lateral position with the left buttock facing downward, and in accordance with this design, the upper right corner 24 of the back sheet 20 is a portion to be sandwiched between the left and right thighs of the disimpaction subject. However, when the disimpaction bag 1 is designed to be suitable for disimpaction of a disimpaction subject in a lateral position with the right buttock facing downward, the upper left corner of the back sheet 20 may be formed as a portion to be sandwiched between the left and right thighs of the disimpaction subject by inverting the shapes of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 shown in FIG. 1 to the left and right, respectively. In other words, in FIG. 1, when the back sheet 20 side is viewed from the top sheet 10, the notch 14c is located on the right side, but when the disimpaction bag 1 shown in FIG. 1 is inverted to the left and right as described above, the disimpaction bag 1 shown in FIG. 1 is inverted to the left and right as a whole. In this case, the notch 14c is located on the left side.
[0048] In addition, the corners where the upper edge 11 of the top sheet 10 intersects with the side edges (13L, 13R) are curved when viewed from the top sheet 10 toward the back sheet 20. The corners where the lower edge of the bag body 1b intersects with the side edges are also curved when viewed from the top sheet 10 toward the back sheet 20.
[0049] (Procedure for using a disimpaction bag) Next, an example of a procedure for using the disimpaction bag 1 and a state in which disimpaction is performed will be described with reference to Figs.
[0050] 4 and 5 show the buttocks 100 of a disimpaction target, including a left buttock 100L and a right buttock 100R. The disimpaction target is in a lateral position with the left buttock 100L facing downward, and the right buttock 100R is located above the left buttock 100L. Reference numeral 101L denotes the left thigh, and reference numeral 101R denotes the right thigh. Reference numeral 200R denotes the right hand of the person to be treated, and reference numeral 200L denotes the left hand of the person to be treated.
[0051] As shown in Figs. 4 and 5, first, the disimpaction bag 1 is attached to the buttocks 100 of the disimpaction subject who is in a lateral position. At this time, the back sheet 20 faces the buttocks 100, and the second attachment part 42 is attached to the left buttocks 100L with its longitudinal direction aligned with the direction extending from the left buttocks 100L to the left thigh 101L. The first attachment part 41 is attached to the right buttocks 100R with its longitudinal direction aligned with the direction extending from the right buttocks 100R to the right thigh 101R. Before using the disimpaction bag 1, a protective sheet (not shown) is attached to each of the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42. When attaching the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42, the protective sheet is peeled off.
[0052] The second attachment part 42 is attached to one of the left buttocks 100L separately from the first attachment part 41. The second attachment part 42 is formed in a curved shape concave downward, and is attached along the shape of the left buttocks 100L. This allows the second attachment part 42 to be stably attached to the left buttocks 100L. Specifically, for example, the second attachment part 42 can be attached along the shape of the left buttocks 100L while straddling the coccyx and the left thigh 101L, so that stability during attachment can be ensured. This improves the sealing between the second attachment part 42 and the left buttocks 100L.
[0053] Furthermore, when the second attachment portion 42 is attached to the left buttock 100L, the corner portion 24 of the back sheet 20 is sandwiched between the left and right thigh portions 101L, 101R as shown in Fig. 4. This makes it possible to more stably attach the disimpaction bag 1 and to reduce the gap between the disimpaction bag 1 and the buttock 100.
[0054] The first attachment part 41 is attached to the right buttock 100R on one side separately from the second attachment part 42. The first attachment part 41 is also formed in a curved shape concave downward, and is attached along the shape of the right buttock 100R. This allows the first attachment part 41 to be stably attached to the right buttock 100R. Specifically, for example, the first attachment part 41 can be attached along the shape of the right buttock 100R while straddling the coccyx and the right thigh 101R, so that stability during attachment can be ensured. Furthermore, the seal between the first attachment part 41 and the right buttock 100R is improved.
[0055] When the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42 are attached to the left and right buttocks 100L, 100R in this manner, the opening 31 of the storage part 30 in the disimpaction bag 1 faces upward.
[0056] Thereafter, the practitioner inserts the finger of the right hand 200R, which is wearing, for example, a medical elastic glove, into the through hole 14a and inserts it into the anus of the person to be disimpacted. Then, the practitioner performs disimpaction by drawing out the stool accumulated in the rectum of the person to be disimpacted with the finger. At this time, the anus is covered with the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20, and scattering of stool and spread of odor that may occur during disimpaction can be suppressed. In addition, since the gap between the disimpaction bag 1 and the buttocks 100 can be reduced as described above, the spread of odor can be further suppressed. In the example described above, the first attachment part 41 is attached after the second attachment part 42 is attached, but this order may be reversed.
[0057] 5 is a diagram showing the state when disimpaction is actually performed. With the disimpaction bag 1, the disimpaction practitioner can insert the fingers of the right hand 200R through the through hole 14a, so that disimpaction can be performed with the same working sensation as in the conventional disimpaction treatment that does not use the disimpaction bag 1. Therefore, the practitioner can perform disimpaction with the same feeling of the fingertips as in the conventional treatment, and the usability is good.
[0058] The disimpaction bag 1 according to the present embodiment described above has a top sheet 10 and a back sheet 20, and is a bag body 1b in which the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are joined together to form a storage section 30 that opens upward, the bag body 1b having the top sheet 10 protruding upward from the upper edge 21 of the back sheet 20, a first attachment part 41 provided on an upper part 11p of the top sheet 10 and attached to the upper one of the left and right buttocks of a disimpaction target in a lateral position, and a second attachment part 42 provided on an upper part of the back sheet 20 and attached to the lower one of the left and right buttocks of a disimpaction target. The top sheet 10 has finger penetration parts 14 (14a, 14c) through which the fingers of a practitioner performing disimpaction can penetrate.
[0059] In such a disimpaction bag 1, the first attachment part 41 can be attached to the right buttock 100R as described above. The second attachment part 42 can be attached to the left buttock 100L. This ensures stability during attachment and improves sealing. In addition, the gap between the disimpaction bag 1 and the left and right buttocks 100L, 100R can be reduced. The top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 cover the anus. This can suppress scattering of feces and spread of odor that may occur during disimpaction. In addition, the disimpaction bag 1 can be easily manufactured because it is mainly manufactured by joining two top sheets 10 and a back sheet 20. Furthermore, since the practitioner can insert the finger of a gloved hand through the through hole 14a, disimpaction can be performed with the same feeling of fingertips as in the case of conventional disimpaction treatment without using the disimpaction bag 1.
[0060] Therefore, the disimpaction bag 1 according to the present embodiment can effectively prevent scattering of stool and spread of odor that may occur during disimpaction, and furthermore, can be easily manufactured and ensures good usability.
[0061] In this embodiment, the finger through-hole 14 is provided in a portion of the top sheet 10 located above the storage section 30. This allows the practitioner to easily move the finger passed through the finger through-hole 14 to the anus of the person to be disimpacted, improving usability. Furthermore, leakage of stool from the through-hole 14a can be suppressed.
[0062] In this embodiment, the finger passage portion 14 includes a through hole 14a penetrating the top sheet 10. In this case, the finger passage portion 14 can be easily produced. The through hole 14a is provided at a position (projecting portion 10e) above the upper edge 21 of the back sheet 20 in the top sheet 10. As a result, the through hole 14a is located further upwardly away from the storage portion 30, so that the practitioner can more easily move the finger passed through the through hole 14a as the finger passage portion 14 to the anus of the subject of disimpaction. In addition, when the disimpaction bag 1 is attached to the buttocks 100 of the subject of disimpaction, the through hole 14a can be disposed at a position facing the anus. This improves usability.
[0063] In this embodiment, the finger passage portion 14 further includes a notch 14c recessed from one (the right edge 13R in this example) of both side edges (13L, 13R) of the top sheet 10 to the other (the left edge 13L). In this case, the practitioner can perform disimpaction with a finger passed through the notch 14c.
[0064] Fig. 6 is a diagram for explaining another procedure for using the disimpaction bag 1, specifically showing the state when the notch 14c is used. When disimpaction is performed using the notch 14c, the fingers of the right hand 200R are brought into contact with the notch 14c as shown in Fig. 6(A), and then the notch 14c can be extended to a position where disimpaction is easy as shown in Fig. 6(B). When using such a notch 14c, the practitioner can move his / her fingers to a position where disimpaction is easy, improving usability.
[0065] In this embodiment, the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are made of an elastic material. In this case, the through hole 14a is formed slightly smaller than a finger, so that a finger inserted into the through hole 14a can widen the through hole 14a and come into close contact with the top sheet 10. This effectively prevents stool from scattering and odor from spreading. In addition, when the finger insertion portion 14 includes the notch 14c, the notch 14c can be stretched to be able to restore its original shape, improving the ease of use when using the notch 14c to perform disimpaction.
[0066] In this embodiment, the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42 are formed in a curved shape that is concave downward. This makes it easier for the first attachment part 41 and the second attachment part 42 to conform to the shape of the buttocks, improving stability when attached.
[0067] In this embodiment, the right side of the upper edge 21 of the back sheet 20, which is located on the right side when the back sheet 20 is viewed from the top sheet 10, is located higher than the left side of the upper edge 21 on the opposite side. As a result, a corner 24 where the upper edge 21 and the right edge 23R of the back sheet 20 intersect is formed so as to taper toward the upper right. By sandwiching this corner 24 between the left and right thighs when the disimpaction bag 1 is attached to the buttocks 100, the attachment state of the disimpaction bag 1 can be stabilized. Furthermore, a situation in which stool may be scattered on the thighs can be effectively prevented.
[0068] The upper edge of the backsheet 20 is curved from the center to the right end so as to approach the first attachment portion 41 of the topsheet 10. In this case, the above-mentioned corner portion 24 can easily conform to the shape of the buttocks of the person to be disimpacted, allowing the corner portion 24 to function more effectively.
[0069] The bag body 1b in this embodiment includes a joining portion 32 that joins the lower portion (12p, 22p) of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 and the portion extending upward from the lower portion (12p, 22p) at both side portions (13Lp, 13Rp and 23Lp, 23Rp) of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 to define the storage portion 30. The joining portions at both side portions (13Lp, 13Rp and 23Lp, 23Rp) of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 20 are spaced downward from the second attachment portion 42. This ensures flexibility of the bag body 1b, making it easy to attach the first attachment portion 41 and the second attachment portion 42 to the buttocks 100L, 100R.
[0070] In this embodiment, the corners where the lower edge of the bag body 1b and both side edges intersect and the corners where the upper edge of the top sheet intersect with both side edges are curved. In this case, it is possible to prevent the corners of the disimpaction bag 1 from causing pain to the person to be disimpacted or from damaging the skin.
[0071] (Other embodiments) Fig. 7 shows a disimpaction bag 1' according to another embodiment. The disimpaction bag 1' differs from the above-mentioned embodiment in that it does not have the through hole 14a as the finger-passing part 14, but only has the notch 14c. This embodiment is advantageous in terms of ease of manufacture. Furthermore, although not shown, a disimpaction bag according to still another embodiment may not have the notch 14c, but only has the through hole 14a.
[0072] The above-described embodiment shows an example for realizing the present invention, and the present invention can be implemented in various other forms. For example, various modifications, substitutions, omissions, or combinations thereof are possible without departing from the gist of the present invention. Forms in which such modifications, substitutions, omissions, etc. are made are also included in the scope of the present invention, as well as in the scope of the invention and its equivalents described in the claims.
