Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a flavor inhaler. [Background technology]

[0002] Conventionally, there is known a flavor inhaler for inhaling flavors and the like without burning materials. In such a flavor inhaler, a rechargeable battery is provided for supplying power to a heater that heats a consumable product (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]

[0003] [Patent Document 1] Special Publication No. 2019-521656 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0004] In such flavor inhalers, it is required to shorten the charging time of the battery. When the current value supplied to the battery is increased in order to shorten the charging time of the battery, the charging IC (Integrated Circuit) that controls the charging heats up to a higher temperature than before. In this case, the charging IC mounted on the PCB (Printed Circuit board) locally becomes hot, so it is necessary to dissipate the heat appropriately. Not only the charging IC, but also the electronic element mounted on the PCB needs to dissipate the heat appropriately when it heats up to a high temperature. It is preferable to dissipate such heat to the outside of the housing of the flavor inhaler. Therefore, it is considered that a member for dissipating heat is arranged between the PCB (electronic element) and the housing so as to contact the PCB and the housing. However, since the PCB, heater, etc. are assembled in advance and then housed in the housing to assemble the flavor inhaler, it is not preferable to arrange the heat dissipation member so as to contact the PCB (electronic element) and the housing in consideration of the assembly of the flavor inhaler.

[0005] One of the objects of the present invention is to dissipate heat from electronic elements without interfering with the assembly of the flavor inhaler. [Means for solving the problem]

[0006] According to a first aspect, there is provided a flavor inhaler that generates an aerosol by heating a smokable article. The flavor inhaler has a first substrate having an electronic element and a housing that houses the first substrate. The first substrate has a first surface and a second surface that is opposite to the first surface and is farther from the housing than the first surface. The flavor inhaler further has a component that faces the second surface of the first substrate, and a first heat dissipation member that is sandwiched between a portion of the second surface of the first substrate that corresponds to the electronic element and the component.

[0007] According to the first aspect, the heat of the electronic elements of the first substrate can be transferred (dissipated) to the components facing the second surface of the first substrate via the first heat dissipation member, so that the localized heat generated on the first substrate can be transferred to the components while being dispersed. In addition, since the first heat dissipation member is sandwiched between the components and the first substrate, when the first substrate, the first heat dissipation member, and the components are housed in the housing, the first heat dissipation member can be prevented from contacting the housing and hindering the assembly of the flavor inhaler.

[0008] A second aspect is the first aspect, wherein the electronic element is a charging IC for controlling charging to a battery.

[0009] According to the second aspect, heat can be dissipated from the charging IC to the above-mentioned components, so that even if the current value supplied to the battery is increased to shorten the charging time compared to conventional cases, the charging IC can be prevented from becoming too hot.

[0010] A third aspect is based on the first or second aspect, and is characterized in that the first heat dissipation member is a heat dissipation pad containing silicone.

[0011] According to the third aspect, the first heat dissipation member is sandwiched between the first board and the component, so that heat can be efficiently dissipated from the first board to the component via the first heat dissipation member.

[0012] A fourth aspect is based on the third aspect, and is characterized in that the first heat dissipation member is compressed by the second surface of the first substrate and the component.

[0013] The heat dissipation pad containing silicone can efficiently transfer heat by being brought into contact with the heat dissipation object in a compressed manner. According to the fourth aspect, the first heat dissipation member is compressed between the first substrate and the above-mentioned component, so that heat can be efficiently dissipated from the first substrate to the above-mentioned component via the first heat dissipation member.

[0014] A fifth aspect is based on any one of the first to fourth aspects, and is summarized in that the component is a second substrate having a surface that faces the second surface of the first substrate.

[0015] According to the fifth aspect, localized heat generated on the first substrate can be transferred to the surface of the second substrate while being dispersed, so that the second substrate can be prevented from becoming locally hot.

[0016] A sixth aspect is based on any one of the first to fifth aspects, and is summarized in that the electronic element is disposed on the first surface of the first substrate.

[0017] According to the sixth aspect, when heat from the electronic element is transferred from the first surface to the second surface of the first substrate, the heat is dispersed in an in-plane direction in the first substrate, so that the heat generated locally in the electronic element can be dispersed by the first substrate and transferred to the first heat dissipation member.

[0018] A seventh aspect is based on any one of the first to sixth aspects, further comprising: a battery; and a second heat dissipation member sandwiched between a surface of the battery and an inner surface of the housing.

[0019] When the current value supplied to the battery is increased in order to shorten the charging time of the battery, the battery also generates heat to a higher temperature than in the past. According to the seventh aspect, the heat of the battery can be transferred (dissipated) to the housing via the second heat dissipation member.

[0020] An eighth aspect is characterized in that, in the seventh aspect, the housing includes a first housing having a bottom wall, a peripheral wall, and an opening defined by the peripheral wall, and a second housing closing the opening, and the second heat dissipation member is sandwiched between a surface of the battery and an inner surface of the bottom wall.

[0021] According to the eighth aspect, by accommodating the battery in the first housing through the opening, the second heat dissipation member can be sandwiched between the surface of the battery and the inner surface of the bottom wall, which can prevent the second heat dissipation member from interfering with the assembly of the flavor inhaler. [Figure 4] FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the flavor inhaler taken along the arrows 4-4 in FIG. 1A. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0023] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS Hereinafter, an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In the drawings described below, the same or corresponding components are designated by the same reference numerals and redundant description will be omitted.

[0024] FIG. 1A is a schematic front view of the flavor inhaler 100 according to the present embodiment. FIG. 1B is a schematic top view of the flavor inhaler 100 according to the present embodiment. FIG. 1C is a schematic bottom view of the flavor inhaler 100 according to the present embodiment. In the drawings described in this specification, an XYZ orthogonal coordinate system may be attached for convenience of explanation. In this coordinate system, the Z axis faces vertically upward, the XY plane is arranged to cut the flavor inhaler 100 horizontally, and the Y axis is arranged to extend from the front to the back of the flavor inhaler 100. The Z axis can also be referred to as the insertion direction of the consumable material contained in the chamber 50 of the atomization unit 30 described later. The X-axis direction can also be referred to as the device longitudinal direction on a plane perpendicular to the insertion direction of the consumable material, or the direction in which the heating unit and the power supply unit are aligned. The Y-axis direction can also be referred to as the device transverse direction on a plane perpendicular to the insertion direction of the consumable material.

[0025] The flavor inhaler 100 according to the present embodiment is configured to generate an aerosol by heating a smokable consumable material. Specifically, the flavor inhaler 100 is configured to generate an aerosol containing a flavor by heating, for example, a stick-type consumable material having a flavor source including an aerosol source.

[0026] 1A to 1C, the flavor inhaler 100 has an outer housing 101 (corresponding to an example of a case), a slide cover 102, and a switch unit 103. The outer housing 101 constitutes the outermost housing of the flavor inhaler 100 and has a size that fits in the user's hand. When the user uses the flavor inhaler 100, the user can inhale aerosol by holding the outer housing 101 in his / her hand.

[0027] 1B and 1C, the outer housing 101 has an outer panel 70 (corresponding to an example of a second housing) and an outer case 80 (corresponding to an example of a first housing) so as to be divided in the Y-axis direction. In other words, the outer housing 101 can be formed by connecting the outer panel 70 to the outer case 80 in the Y-axis direction. The outer panel 70 can be configured to be detachable from the outer case 80. The outer case 80 has a bottom wall 80a, a peripheral wall 80b extending from the bottom wall 80a, and an opening OP1 (see FIG. 4 described later) defined by the peripheral wall 80b. The outer panel 70 is configured to close the opening OP1 (see FIG. 4 described later) of the outer case 80.

[0028] The slide cover 102 is slidably attached to the outer housing 101 so as to close an opening (not shown) for inserting consumables. Specifically, the slide cover 102 is configured to be movable along the outer surface of the outer housing 101 between a closed position (position shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B) for closing an opening (not shown) of the outer housing 101 and an open position for opening the opening (not shown). For example, a user can manually operate the slide cover 102 to move the slide cover 102 between the closed position and the open position. In this way, the slide cover 102 can permit or restrict access of the consumables to the inside of the flavor inhaler 100.

[0029] The switch unit 103 is used to switch the operation of the flavor inhaler 100 on and off. For example, when a user operates the switch unit 103 with a consumable material inserted in the flavor inhaler 100, power is supplied from a battery (not shown) to a heating unit (not shown), and the consumable material can be heated without being burned. The switch unit 103 may have a switch provided outside the outer housing 101, or may have a switch located inside the outer housing 101. When the switch is located inside the outer housing 101, the switch is indirectly pressed by pressing the switch unit 103 on the surface of the outer housing 101. In this embodiment, an example in which the switch of the switch unit 103 is located inside the outer housing 101 will be described.

[0030] The flavor inhaler 100 may further have a terminal (not shown). The terminal may be an interface for connecting the flavor inhaler 100 to, for example, an external power source. If the power source of the flavor inhaler 100 is a rechargeable battery, the external power source may be connected to the terminal to allow current to flow from the external power source to the battery, thereby charging the battery. In addition, a data transmission cable may be connected to the terminal to allow data related to the operation of the flavor inhaler 100 to be transmitted to an external device.

[0031] Next, a consumable material used in the flavor inhaler 100 according to this embodiment will be described. FIG. 2 is a schematic side cross-sectional view of the consumable material 110. In this embodiment, the flavor inhaler 100 and the consumable material 110 may constitute a smoking system. In the example shown in FIG. 2, the consumable material 110 has a smokable article 111, a tubular member 114, a hollow filter portion 116, and a filter portion 115. The smokable article 111 is wrapped with a first cigarette paper 112. The tubular member 114, the hollow filter portion 116, and the filter portion 115 are wrapped with a second cigarette paper 113 different from the first cigarette paper 112. The second cigarette paper 113 also wraps a part of the first cigarette paper 112 that wraps the smokable article 111. This connects the tubular member 114, the hollow filter portion 116, and the filter portion 115 to the smokable article 111. However, the second cigarette paper 113 may be omitted, and the tubular member 114, the hollow filter portion 116, and the filter portion 115 may be connected to the smokable article 111 using the first cigarette paper 112. A lip release agent 117 is applied to the outer surface of the second cigarette paper 113 near the end of the filter portion 115 side to prevent the user's lips from sticking to the second cigarette paper 113. The portion of the consumable product 110 to which the lip release agent 117 is applied functions as the mouthpiece of the consumable product 110. In addition, an opening V may be provided concentrically in the circumferential direction of the tubular member 114 that performs the cooling segment function in the consumable product 110. The opening V provided in the tubular member 114 is usually a hole for promoting the inflow of air from the outside due to the user's inhalation, and this inflow of air can lower the temperature of the components and air flowing in from the smokable article 111.

[0032] The smokable article 111 may include a flavor source, such as tobacco, and an aerosol source. Furthermore, the first wrapping paper 112 that wraps the smokable article 111 may be a breathable sheet member. The tubular member 114 may be a paper tube or a hollow filter. In the illustrated example, the consumable product 110 includes the smokable article 111, the tubular member 114, the hollow filter portion 116, and the filter portion 115, but the configuration of the consumable product 110 is not limited thereto. For example, the hollow filter portion 116 may be omitted, and the tubular member 114 and the filter portion 115 may be disposed adjacent to each other. In addition, the airflow resistance in the longitudinal direction of each consumable product 110 is not particularly limited, but from the standpoint of ease of inhalation, it is usually 8 mmH2O or more, preferably 10 mmH2O or more, and more preferably 12 mmH2O or more, and is usually 100 mmH2O or less, preferably 80 mmH2O or less, and more preferably 60 mmH2O or less.

[0033] Next, the internal structure of the flavor inhaler 100 will be described. FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the flavor inhaler 100 taken along the arrow 3-3 shown in FIG. 1B. FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the flavor inhaler 100 taken along the arrow 4-4 shown in FIG. 1A. As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, an inner panel 10 is housed inside the outer housing 101 of the flavor inhaler 100. The inner panel 10 is made of, for example, a resin, and may be formed of, in particular, polycarbonate (PC), ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) resin, PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), or a polymer alloy containing a plurality of types of polymers, or a metal such as aluminum. From the viewpoint of heat resistance and strength, it is preferable that the inner panel 10 is formed of PEEK. However, the material of the inner panel 10 is not particularly limited. The inner panel 10, together with the outer housing 101, constitutes the housing of the flavor inhaler 100, and the internal space of this housing accommodates the power supply unit 20, the atomizing unit 30 for the consumable product 110, the first board 60, and the second board 64 (corresponding to an example of a component). As shown in FIG. 4, the inner panel 10 has a first inner panel 11 (corresponding to an example of the second housing) and a second inner panel 12 (corresponding to an example of the first housing). The inner panel 10 can be opened and closed by attaching and detaching the first inner panel 11 to and from the second inner panel 12. The outer housing 101 is made of, for example, a resin, and in particular, may be formed of polycarbonate (PC), ABS (Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene) resin, PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone), or a polymer alloy containing multiple types of polymers, or a metal such as aluminum.

[0034] The power supply unit 20 includes a battery 21. The battery 21 may be, for example, a rechargeable battery. The battery 21 is electrically connected to the heating unit 40 of the atomization unit 30 via the first substrate 60. This allows the battery 21 to supply power to the heating unit 40 so as to appropriately heat the consumable product 110.

[0035] As shown in FIG. 3, the atomizing unit 30 has a chamber 50 extending in the insertion direction (Z-axis direction) of the consumable product 110, a heating unit 40 surrounding a part of the chamber 50, a heat insulating unit 32, and a substantially cylindrical insertion guide member 34. The chamber 50 is configured to accommodate the consumable product 110. The chamber 50 is preferably formed of a material having heat resistance and a small thermal expansion coefficient, and may be formed of, for example, a metal such as stainless steel, a resin such as PEEK, glass, or ceramic. As shown in the figure, a bottom member 36 may be provided at the bottom of the chamber 50. The bottom member 36 may function as a stopper for positioning the consumable product 110 inserted into the chamber 50. The bottom member 36 has an uneven surface with which the consumable product 110 comes into contact, and may define a space capable of supplying air to the surface with which the consumable product 110 comes into contact. The bottom member 36 may be formed of, for example, a resin material such as PEEK, a metal, glass, or ceramic, but is not limited thereto. Furthermore, the material constituting the bottom member 36 may be a material having lower thermal conductivity than the material constituting the chamber 50. When joining the bottom member 36 to the bottom of the chamber 50, an adhesive that may be made of a resin material such as an epoxy resin or an inorganic material may be used.

[0036] The heating unit 40 is configured to contact the outer peripheral surface of the chamber 50 and heat the smokable articles 111 of the consumable goods 110 contained in the chamber 50. Specifically, the heating unit 40 may include a heating element, such as a heating track, and an electrically insulating sheet covering at least one surface of the heating element.

[0037] The heat insulating part 32 is generally cylindrical and is disposed so as to surround the chamber 50. The heat insulating part 32 may include, for example, an aerogel sheet. The insertion guide member 34 is formed of a resin material such as PEEK, PC, or ABS, and is provided between the slide cover 102 in the closed position and the chamber 50. The flavor inhaler 100 also has a first holding part 37 and a second holding part 38 for holding the heat insulating part 32. The first holding part 37 and the second holding part 38 can be formed of an elastomer such as silicone rubber. As shown in FIG. 3, the first holding part 37 holds the end of the heat insulating part 32 on the Z-axis positive side. The second holding part 38 holds the end of the heat insulating part 32 on the Z-axis negative side.

[0038] The insertion guide member 34 has a function of guiding the insertion of the consumable product 110. Specifically, when the sliding cover 102 is in the open position, the insertion guide member 34 guides the insertion of the consumable product 110 into the chamber 50 by inserting the consumable product 110 into the insertion guide member 34. In this embodiment, since the insertion guide member 34 may come into contact with the chamber 50, it is preferable that the insertion guide member 34 is made of PEEK from the viewpoint of heat resistance. As shown in FIG. 3, the sliding cover 102 is movable between an open position and a closed position in a direction D1.

[0039] The flavor inhaler 100 has a first chassis 22 extending in the Z-axis direction between the battery 21 and the atomization unit 30, and a second chassis 23 extending so as to cover the slide cover 102 side of the battery 21. The first chassis 22 and the second chassis 23 are configured to partition a space in the inner panel 10 in which the battery 21 is housed.

[0040] As shown in Figs. 3 and 4, the first substrate 60 includes an electronic element 61. The electronic element 61 may be any element that can generate heat under a predetermined condition. The first substrate 60 has a first surface 60a and a second surface 60b that is opposite to the first surface 60a and is farther from the housing (the outer housing 101 and the inner panel 10) than the first surface 60a. Here, the distance between the first substrate 60 and the housing refers to the distance in a direction perpendicular to the first surface 60a or the second surface 60b. The second substrate 64 faces the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60. The first substrate 60 and the second substrate 64 may be, for example, PCBs.

[0041] In this embodiment, when the electronic element 61 of the first substrate 60 generates heat, a first heat dissipation member 62 is provided to dissipate the heat. Here, as shown in FIG. 4, in this embodiment, the outer case 80 has an opening OP1 defined by the peripheral wall 80b in addition to the bottom wall 80a and the peripheral wall 80b. The second inner panel 12 also has a bottom wall 12a and a peripheral wall 12b extending from the bottom wall 12a, and the peripheral wall 12b defines a part of the opening OP1. Since the first substrate 60 is accommodated in the second inner panel 12 and the outer case 80 from the opening OP1, the direction in which the substrate is accommodated (here, the Y-axis direction) is substantially parallel to the first surface 60a and the second surface 60b. In other words, the first surface 60a and the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60 are substantially parallel to the direction of the opening OP1 (here, the Y-axis direction). Therefore, if the first heat dissipation member 62 is arranged on the first surface 60a of the first substrate 60, when the first substrate 60 is housed within the second inner panel 12 and the outer case 80, the first heat dissipation member 62 may interfere with the peripheral wall 12b of the second inner panel 12, which may hinder the assembly of the flavor inhaler 100.

[0042] 3 and 4, in this embodiment, the first heat dissipation member 62 is sandwiched between a portion of the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60 corresponding to the electronic element 61 and the second substrate 64. This allows the heat of the electronic element 61 of the first substrate 60 to be transferred (dissipated) to the second substrate 64 facing the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60 via the first heat dissipation member 62, so that the heat generated locally on the first substrate 60 can be transferred to the second substrate 64 while being dispersed. In addition, since the first heat dissipation member 62 is sandwiched between the second substrate 64 and the first substrate 60, when the first substrate 60, the first heat dissipation member 62, and the second substrate 64 are housed in the housing, the first heat dissipation member 62 can be prevented from contacting the housing and hindering the assembly of the flavor inhaler 100. In this specification, "the portion corresponding to the electronic element 61 on the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60" refers to the portion of the second surface 60b opposite the electronic element 61 when the electronic element 61 is provided on the first surface 60a, and refers to the portion where the electronic element 61 is located when the electronic element 61 is provided on the second surface 60b.

[0043] The electronic element 61 is preferably a charging IC for controlling charging of the battery 21. In this case, the first heat dissipation member 62 allows heat to be dissipated from the charging IC to the second substrate 64, so that even if the current value supplied to the battery 21 is increased to shorten the charging time more than before, the charging IC can be prevented from becoming too hot.

[0044] 3 and 4, the second substrate 64 preferably has a surface 64a facing the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60. By sandwiching the first heat dissipation member 62 between the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60 and the surface 64a of the second substrate 64, localized heat generated in the first substrate 60 can be transferred to the surface 64a of the second substrate 64 while being dispersed, so that the second substrate 64 can be prevented from becoming locally hot.

[0045] The first heat dissipation member 62 is preferably a heat dissipation pad containing silicone. Such a heat dissipation pad containing silicone can efficiently transfer heat (dissipate heat) by contacting the heat dissipation object in a compressed manner. For this reason, the first heat dissipation member 62 is preferably compressed by the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60 and the second substrate 64. This allows efficient heat dissipation from the first substrate 60 to the second substrate 64 via the first heat dissipation member 62. The first heat dissipation member 62 is preferably flexible. This allows the first heat dissipation member to be attached to the heat dissipation object in close contact with it, so that the heat dissipation object can efficiently dissipate heat. In addition, the first heat dissipation member 62 is preferably elastic. This allows the first heat dissipation member 62 to be appropriately compressed by the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60 and the second substrate 64, so that the heat dissipation object can efficiently dissipate heat.

[0046] 3 and 4, the electronic element 61 is preferably disposed on the first surface 60a of the first substrate 60. In this case, when the heat of the electronic element 61 is transferred from the first surface 60a to the second surface 60b of the first substrate 60, the heat is dispersed in an in-plane direction in the first substrate 60, so that the heat of the electronic element 61, which is locally generated, can be transferred to the first heat dissipation member 62 while being dispersed by the first substrate 60.

[0047] When the current value supplied to the battery 21 is increased in order to shorten the charging time of the battery 21, the battery 21 also generates heat to a higher temperature than before. For this reason, as shown in Fig. 4, the flavor inhaler 100 preferably has a second heat dissipation member 66 sandwiched between the surface of the battery 21 and the inner surface of the housing (the second inner panel 12). This allows the heat of the battery 21 to be transferred (dissipated) to the housing via the second heat dissipation member 66. Note that since the battery 21 generates heat not locally but overall, it is preferable to dissipate the heat to the housing, which has a relatively large heat capacity.

[0048] More specifically, the second heat dissipation member 66 is preferably sandwiched between the surface of the battery 21 and the inner surface of the bottom wall 12a of the second inner panel 12. As a result, by accommodating the battery 21 in the outer case 80 through the opening OP1, the second heat dissipation member 66 can be sandwiched between the surface of the battery 21 and the inner surface of the bottom wall 12a. This can prevent the second heat dissipation member 66 from interfering with the assembly of the flavor inhaler 100. Note that any member may be disposed between the bottom wall 12a and the second heat dissipation member 66.

[0049] The second heat dissipation member 66 is preferably a heat dissipation pad containing silicone, for example, similar to the first heat dissipation member 62. Similarly to the first heat dissipation member 62, the second heat dissipation member 66 is preferably compressed by the surface of the battery 21 and the inner surface of the housing (second inner panel 12). This allows efficient heat dissipation from the battery 21 to the housing via the second heat dissipation member 66. The second heat dissipation member 66 is preferably flexible. This allows the second heat dissipation member 66 to be attached so as to be in close contact with the heat dissipation object (battery 21) as shown in FIG. 4, so that the heat dissipation object can be efficiently dissipated. In addition, the second heat dissipation member 66 is preferably elastic. This allows the second heat dissipation member 66 to be appropriately compressed by the surface of the battery 21 and the inner surface of the housing (second inner panel 12), so that the heat dissipation object can be efficiently dissipated.

[0050] In the present embodiment, the flavor inhaler 100 has been described as including the inner panel 10, but the flavor inhaler 100 may not include the inner panel 10. In that case, the second heat dissipation member 66 may be sandwiched between the surface of the battery 21 and the inner surface of the bottom wall 80a of the outer case 80.

[0051] Although the embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the technical ideas described in the claims and the specification and drawings. Any shape or material not directly described in the specification and drawings is within the scope of the technical ideas of the present invention as long as it provides the functions and effects of the present invention. For example, the heating unit 40 is not limited to a resistance heating type, but may be an induction heating type. In that case, the heating unit 40 can heat the chamber 50 by induction heating. In addition, when the consumable product 110 has a susceptor, the heating unit 40 can heat the susceptor of the consumable product 110 by induction heating. Furthermore, the heating unit 40 may have an internal heating type heater that heats the consumable product 110 from the inside. The consumable product 110 may be a tank containing a liquid. In this case, the heating unit 40 may be configured to atomize the liquid in the tank. [Explanation of symbols]
