Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an absorbent article. [Background technology]
[0002] The absorbent article comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet positioned on the skin side, a liquid-impermeable back sheet positioned on the non-skin side, and an absorbent body disposed between them, and is configured so that the absorbent body absorbs and retains bodily fluids that have permeated the top sheet, and the back sheet prevents the bodily fluids from adhering to the wearer's clothing, etc. Absorbent articles come in various forms depending on the application, such as pad products such as light incontinence pads, light incontinence liners, urine absorption pads, and sanitary napkins, and paper diaper products such as pants-type paper diapers and tape-fastened paper diapers, and are widely used by people of all ages, including infants, adults, and the elderly.
[0003] In conventional absorbent articles, a fluff absorbent body containing absorbent fibers such as fluff pulp and a super absorbent polymer (hereinafter also referred to as "SAP") is widely used as an absorbent body. However, the fluff absorbent body has a problem that it becomes relatively thick when it absorbs body fluids such as urine, and is easily noticeable to others. In addition, the number of people who wear absorbent articles while being able to walk is increasing. For this reason, there is a demand recently for a thin absorbent article that is not noticeable when wearing the absorbent article, and that does not feel strange or uncomfortable when worn. In view of such a demand, various proposals have been made to make the absorbent body thinner. In addition, various proposals have been made as a thin absorbent body, for an absorbent sheet containing two hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics and SAP fixed between them by a hot melt adhesive.
[0004] Patent Document 1 discloses a urine pad that includes a surface layer (top sheet), an absorbent layer, and a bottom layer (back sheet) that are provided in this order from the skin side to the non-skin side of the wearer, and the absorbent layer includes a perforated film layer made of polyethylene or the like, an upper attachment layer, a core layer, and a lower attachment layer, in this order from the skin side to the non-skin side of the wearer, the perforated film layer being located between the top sheet and the core layer, the lower attachment layer being located between the core layer and the bottom layer, and a highly water-absorbent polymer being filled between the upper attachment layer and the lower attachment layer to form the core layer (claims 1 to 4, claim 6). Patent Document 1 describes that the pad prevents leakage of bodily fluids and is comfortable to wear (paragraph 0018).
[0005] Patent Document 2 discloses an absorbent sheet as an absorbent body, which includes a first sheet, a second sheet disposed opposite the first sheet, and SAP disposed between the first and second sheets, the first sheet having an adhesive-coated surface facing the second sheet, the second sheet having an adhesive-coated surface facing the first sheet, and the SAPs bonded intermittently in stripes in the width direction to the adhesive-coated surfaces of the first and / or second sheet, and both sides in the width direction are sealed by bonding the adhesive-coated surfaces of the first and second sheets together. Patent Document 2 describes that the absorbency of the absorbent body can be ensured and the width of the absorbent body can be reduced (paragraph 0012). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0006] [Patent Document 1] Utility Model Registration No. 3215515 [Patent Document 2] JP 2006-158676 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0007] The pad product described in Patent Document 1 is relatively excellent in preventing liquid backflow such as wetback and in absorption speed, but it cannot be said to be sufficiently effective in improving bodily fluid diffusion and absorption performance. Patent Document 1 also describes the use of a core layer (claim 6) filled with a superabsorbent polymer between the upper and lower attachment layers as an absorbent body, and the core layer does not contain absorbent fibers such as fluff pulp, as in general absorbent sheets. However, since Patent Document 1 does not clarify a specific method for filling the superabsorbent polymer between the upper and lower attachment layers, it cannot be said that the core layer contributes to making the absorbent body thinner.
[0008] Although the absorbent sheet described in Patent Document 2 is thin, compared to conventional fluff absorbents, the SAP absorbs and swells with the initially discharged body fluids such as urine, causing gel blocking and blocking the passage of the body fluids, resulting in a significant decrease in the rate and amount of body fluid absorption when the body fluids are discharged for the second or subsequent times. Conventional absorbent sheets, such as those described in Patent Document 2, which simply have SAP fixed between two hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics with a hot melt adhesive, cannot meet the current demand for multiple body fluid absorption in absorbent articles.
[0009] Furthermore, in conventional absorbent sheets, the SAPs are densely arranged, which makes the absorbent article itself stiff and reduces comfort when worn. Another issue is that the plastic resin-based nonwoven fabric that makes up the absorbent sheet does not have the ability to instantly receive bodily fluids before the SAP begins to absorb them, and is therefore unable to absorb the initial bodily fluids, resulting in leakage or backflow.
[0010] An object of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article having a thin absorbent sheet that has excellent absorption speed and absorption amount even when absorbing body fluids multiple times, prevents leakage and return of body fluids, and is soft and comfortable to wear. [Means for solving the problem]
[0011] As a result of intensive research into solving the above problems, the inventors have discovered that a desired absorbent article can be obtained by making the absorbent sheet have a specified multi-layer structure to ensure its thinness and bodily fluid absorption capacity, by arranging crepe paper having specified properties on the side closest to the skin of the absorbent sheet to prevent liquid return, and by providing embossed grooves in a specified shape in a plan view on the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet that run from the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet to the vicinity of the skin-side surface of the crepe paper, and thus have completed the present invention. That is, the present invention relates to the following absorbent article.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0015] In this specification, wearing the absorbent article 50 refers to a state where the absorbent article 50 is attached to the wearer's body, regardless of whether it is before or after absorbing bodily fluids. The longitudinal direction of the absorbent article 50 is the direction indicated by Y in the figure, which extends from front to back through the crotch of the wearer when the absorbent article 50 is worn, the width direction is the direction indicated by X in the figure, which is approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and the thickness direction is the direction indicated by Z in the figure, in which each component is stacked. The skin-side surfaces of the absorbent article 50 and each component thereof are the surfaces that contact the wearer's skin or face the skin, and the non-skin-side surfaces are the surfaces that contact the wearer's clothing or face the clothing. Body fluids refer to liquids discharged from the body to the outside, such as urine, blood, and water in loose stool.
[0016] <Absorbent articles> Hereinafter, an absorbent article 50 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings. Figs. 1 and 2 show the absorbent article 50. Figs. 3 and 4 show absorbent sheet precursors 20A and 25A before the formation of the embossed grooves 15. Figs. 5 to 7 show the embossed grooves 15. The drawings do not define the shapes of the absorbent article 50 and each of the components, or the dimensional relationships.
[0017] The absorbent article 50 of this embodiment can be used as various absorbent articles for babies, adults, and the elderly, and examples thereof include pad products such as light incontinence pads, light incontinence liners, urine absorption pads, and sanitary napkins, and paper diaper products such as pants-type paper diapers and tape-fastened paper diapers. Various paper diapers may be combined as outerwear with the absorbent article 50 as innerwear. The longitudinal dimension L of the absorbent article 50 is 10 (Fig. 1), and the width dimension W 10 (FIG. 1) is not particularly limited, but for example, L 10 is between 100mm and 800mm, and W 10 is in the range of 50 mm or more and 500 mm or less. By adjusting the dimensions of the absorbent article 50 within the above range, absorbent articles of various shapes can be easily obtained.
[0018] 1 and 2 includes a liquid-permeable top sheet 10 located on the skin side, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 30 located opposite the top sheet 10 and on the non-skin side, a second sheet 60 located between the top sheet 10 and the absorbent body 20, the absorbent body 20 located between the second sheet 60 and the back sheet 30, and a pair of three-dimensional gathers 40 provided on the skin side surface of the top sheet 10. The absorbent body 20 includes an absorbent sheet precursor 20A (FIG. 3) composed of a first hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, a first highly absorbent polymer layer (hereinafter also referred to as "SAP layer") 23, a second hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, a second SAP layer 23, and crepe paper 22 having predetermined properties stacked on top of each other in this order from the wearer's skin side. The absorbent sheet precursor 20A has an embossed groove 15 formed on the skin side surface of the absorbent sheet precursor 20A in a predetermined shape in plan view (FIGS. 5, 6, etc.) that extends from the skin side surface to the skin side surface of the crepe paper 22.
[0019] According to this embodiment, an absorbent sheet to be used as an absorbent body 20 is constructed by providing embossed grooves 15, which are predetermined groove portions, in an absorbent sheet precursor 20A. The absorbent sheet precursor 20A provides, for example, the following effects. a) A first hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21 is used as the first sheet located on the skin side, crepe paper 22 having specified properties is used as the third sheet located away from the skin side, and a second hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21 is used as the second sheet located between them, and first and second SAP layers 23 are provided between them, so that the first and second SAP layers 23 can be made relatively thin enough to sufficiently prevent gel blocking, and the absorbent sheet as a whole can maintain a thin shape even though it has a multi-layer structure. b) Even if the first and second SAP layers 23 absorb body fluids multiple times, there is still a reserve capacity for body fluid absorption. (c) By placing the crepe paper 22 closest to the skin and combining it with the first and second hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics 21 and the first and second SAP layers 23 placed on the skin side, the crepe paper 22 has the function of temporarily storing the body fluid until the superabsorbent polymer 12 begins to absorb the body fluid immediately after it is discharged, thereby significantly preventing leakage of body fluids such as liquid backflow and lateral leakage. d) The first and second SAP layers 23 are formed as multiple thin layers, and even when the superabsorbent polymer 12 in each layer absorbs body fluids and swells, it is unlikely to become a large solid mass, so that the bulkiness is reduced and the wearing comfort and fit are good even after absorbing body fluids multiple times. Furthermore, by providing an embossed groove 15 on the skin-facing surface of the absorbent sheet precursor 20A, which has a first embossed groove 16 extending longitudinally through the widthwise center and a plurality of second embossed grooves 17 intersecting or contacting the first embossed groove 16 at acute angles, the decrease in rigidity of the absorbent sheet precursor 20A is suppressed to a level that does not pose a practical problem, and the resulting absorbent sheet (absorbent body 20) is made flexible to improve the wearing comfort, while the body fluid diffusibility of the entire absorbent sheet (absorbent body 20) can be maintained at a high level even after multiple body fluid absorptions. Therefore, according to this embodiment, the absorbent body 20 is thin and flexible, and even after absorbing body fluids multiple times, the body fluid absorption speed is fast, there is remaining capacity for body fluid absorption (a large amount of fresh superabsorbent polymer 12 that has not absorbed body fluids remains), body fluid leakage such as liquid backflow and side leakage is prevented, and a thin, inconspicuous absorbent article 50 is provided that is comfortable to wear.
[0020] The absorbent article 50 of this embodiment has the top sheet 10, absorbent body 20, and back sheet 30 as basic constituent units, and can be modified in various known ways, for example, by providing the above-mentioned three-dimensional gathers 40, or by arranging a second sheet 60 or a transfer sheet (not shown) between the top sheet 10 and absorbent body 20. The constituent members of the absorbent article 50 of this embodiment will be described in more detail below in the order of the top sheet 10, the second sheet 60, the absorbent body 20, the back sheet 30, and the three-dimensional gathers 40.
[0021] <Top sheet> The top sheet 10 is a liquid-permeable sheet-like substrate that quickly passes bodily fluids toward the absorbent 20 and diffuses the bodily fluids in the surface direction of the absorbent 20. The top sheet 10 is preferably a substrate that is soft to the touch and does not irritate the skin so that it may be directly in contact with the wearer's skin. Examples of the substrate include hydrophilic sheets, composite nonwoven fabrics that are laminates of the same or different hydrophilic sheets, open-ended films such as open-ended polyethylene films, and foamed films such as polyethylene foam and urethane foam. Examples of hydrophilic sheets include air-through nonwoven fabrics, thermal bond nonwoven fabrics, spunlace nonwoven fabrics, spunbond nonwoven fabrics, and the like, which are made using synthetic fibers made of synthetic resins such as polypropylene and polyethylene, regenerated fibers such as rayon, and natural fibers such as cotton. Among these, each nonwoven fabric is preferable.
[0022] The surface of the top sheet 10 may be embossed or perforated to improve liquid permeability. The top sheet 10 may contain one or more of lotions, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory components, pH adjusters, antibacterial agents, moisturizers, etc. to reduce irritation to the skin. The basis weight of the top sheet 10 is, for example, 15 g / m2 from the viewpoints of strength, processability, and liquid return. 2 ) or more 40g / m 2 The range is as follows: The shape of the top sheet 10 is not particularly limited, and may be any shape that covers all or a part of the absorbent body 20, which is necessary for guiding bodily fluids to the absorbent body 20 without leakage.
[0023] <Second seat> The second sheet 60 is disposed on the non-skin side of the top sheet 10, more specifically, between the top sheet 10 and the absorbent body 20. Disposing the second sheet 60 increases cushioning properties, improves the wearing comfort and fit of the absorbent article 50, and enables bodily fluids that have permeated the top sheet 10 to be diffused almost uniformly throughout the absorbent body 20.
[0024] The base material of the second sheet 60 is, for example, a bulky nonwoven fabric that has a faster body fluid permeation rate than the top sheet 10 and quickly diffuses body fluid into the absorbent body 20. Air-through nonwoven fabric, spunbond nonwoven fabric, etc. are preferable as such nonwoven fabric. The thickness of the second sheet 60 is, for example, in the range of 0.1 mm to 4 mm, and its basis weight is, for example, 20 g / m 2 More than 60g / m 2 The following range or 22g / m 2 More than 37g / m 2 The thickness is less than 0.1 mm or the basis weight is 20 g / m 2 Less than or equal to 60g / m 2 If it is larger, diffusion of bodily fluids over the entire skin-facing surface of the absorbent body 20 becomes insufficient, and the wearing comfort of the absorbent article 50 tends to decrease. In addition, the shape of the second sheet 60 is not particularly limited, but in a preferred embodiment, it may be any shape that can completely cover the surface of the absorbent body 20.
[0025] <Absorbent> The absorbent body 20 has a longitudinal dimension (maximum length) L 40 (FIG. 1) is, for example, in the range of 100 mm to 800 mm, in the range of 150 mm to 500 mm, or in the range of 270 mm to 500 mm. 40 (FIG. 1) is, for example, in the range of 50 mm to 500 mm, 60 mm to 400 mm, or 70 mm to 105 mm. When the planar shape of the absorbent body 20 is an hourglass shape, the longitudinal dimension is in the range of 180 mm to 800 mm, the widthwise dimensions of the front and rear parts that contact the wearer's abdomen and back, respectively, are both in the range of 60 mm to 400 mm, and the widthwise dimension of the central part that contacts the wearer's crotch is in the range of 90 mm to 250 mm. Examples of the planar shape of the absorbent body 20 include an hourglass shape, an I-shape, a rectangle, a rounded rectangle, an oval, etc.
[0026] The absorbent body 20 of this embodiment is configured to include an absorbent sheet. Examples of the absorbent sheet include an absorbent sheet precursor 20A shown in Fig. 3 with embossed grooves 15 formed on its skin-side surface, and an absorbent sheet precursor 25A shown in Fig. 4 with embossed grooves 15 formed on its skin-side surface. The embossed grooves 15 are grooves that extend from the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet (absorbent body 20) to the skin-side surface or its vicinity of the crepe paper 22 located on the most non-skin side of the absorbent sheet, and will be described in detail later.
[0027] (Absorbent sheet) The absorbent sheet precursor 20A shown in FIG. 3 is an absorbent sheet formed by overlapping a first hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, a first SAP layer 23, a second hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, a second SAP layer 23, and a crepe paper 22 in this order from the wearer's skin side. The absorbent sheet precursor 25A shown in FIG. 4 is an absorbent sheet formed by overlapping a first hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, a first SAP layer 23, a second hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, a second SAP layer 23, a third hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, a third SAP layer 23, and a crepe paper 22 in this order from the wearer's skin side. The superabsorbent polymer 12 is fixed in the first, second, and third SAP layers 23 by, for example, a hot melt adhesive. The thickness of the absorbent sheet is, for example, in the range of 0.5 mm to 5 mm. By setting the thickness within the above range, it is possible to obtain a good balance between a thin shape, bodily fluid absorption performance such as absorption speed and absorption amount, and wearing comfort at a high level.
[0028] (Hydrophilic nonwoven fabric) The first, second and third hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics 21, for example, diffuse body fluids in the surface direction and thickness direction of the absorbent body 20. As the hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21, any hydrophilic nonwoven fabric having excellent diffusibility of body fluids can be used without any particular limitation, and examples thereof include air-through nonwoven fabrics and spunbond nonwoven fabrics containing one or more types of fibers made of synthetic resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene and polyester. Among these, spunbond nonwoven fabrics are more preferable from the viewpoint of making the absorbent sheet or absorbent sheets 20A, 25A thinner. The basis weight of the hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21 is, for example, 10 g / m 2 More than 40g / m 2The thickness of the hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21 is, for example, in the range of 0.05 mm or more and 0.3 mm or less. The first, second and third hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics 21 may be made of the same or different hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics.
[0029] (crepe paper) The crepe paper 22 is located on the closest side to the skin of the absorbent sheet (absorbent body 20) or absorbent sheet precursor 20A, 25A, and supports, for example, the second or third SAP layer 23, and when bodily fluid is discharged, temporarily stores and holds the bodily fluid before the superabsorbent polymer 12 starts absorbing the bodily fluid, thereby preventing leakage, return of the bodily fluid, etc. Since the crepe paper 22 holds the bodily fluid faster than the superabsorbent polymer 12 absorbs it, when the superabsorbent polymer 12 starts absorbing the bodily fluid, the bodily fluid held in the crepe paper 22 is absorbed by the superabsorbent polymer 12.
[0030] The crepe paper 22 used in the absorbent sheet precursors 20A and 25A has a crepe height in the range of 80 μm to 140 μm and a crepe number in the range of 5 / 6 mm to 25 / 6 mm. When the crepe height and the crepe number are within the above-mentioned ranges, the crepe paper 22 is likely to exhibit a function of temporarily storing bodily fluids. If the crepe height is less than 80 μm and / or the crepe number is less than 5 / 6 mm, the crepe paper 22 is insufficient in temporarily storing bodily fluids, and the occurrence of liquid backflow, side leakage, etc. tends to increase. If the crepe height exceeds 140 μm and / or the crepe number exceeds 25 / 6 mm, the transfer of the bodily fluids temporarily stored in the crepe paper 22 to the superabsorbent polymer 12 becomes insufficient, and when the bodily fluid is absorbed multiple times, the function of the crepe paper 22 decreases, and liquid backflow, side leakage, etc. tend to occur easily. The basis weight and thickness of the crepe paper 22 are not particularly limited. For example, the basis weight is 10 g / m 2 More than 40g / m 2 The thickness is in the range of 0.05 mm or more and 0.5 mm or less.
[0031] The crepe height and the number of crepes of the crepe paper 22 are measured using a microscope. In this embodiment, a microscope manufactured by KEYENCE Corporation, product name "One Shot 3D Measurement Macroscope VR-3100", is used as the microscope. The image analysis software of the microscope, "VR-H1A" attached to the microscope, is used as the image analysis software of the microscope. The measurement conditions are a magnification of 38 times, a field area of 8 mm x 6 mm, and the measurement is performed so that the MD direction of the crepe paper 22 is parallel to the 6 mm side. The measurement magnification and field area may be appropriately changed depending on the desired size of the crepe. Note that while a three-dimensional measuring machine or a contour measuring machine measures points or lines, in the case of one-shot 3D measurement, the entire surface is measured, making it easy to see the overall shape and waviness.
[0032] The method of measuring the number and height of the crepes will be described in more detail with reference to Figs. 8 to 10. Fig. 8 is an image of the XY plane taken by a microscope. The up-down direction in Fig. 8 is the MD direction of the crepe paper 22, and the left-right direction is the CD direction of the crepe paper 22. If a line segment S1-S2 (not shown) parallel to the MD direction is drawn across the entire top and bottom of the image at any position in the CD direction of the XY plane image of the height profile (mapping, not shown) in Fig. 8, the crepe height (measured cross-sectional curve) profile can be obtained. In addition, since each crepe extends along the CD direction and the line segment S1-S2 crosses these multiple crepes, the crepe height profile remains almost unchanged no matter where the line segment S1-S2 is drawn in the CD direction of the XY plane image.
[0033] The height profile is a (measured) cross-sectional curve S that represents the unevenness of the crepe paper 22, but it also contains noise (steep peaks due to fiber clumps on the surface of the crepe paper 22, whisker-like fibers, and fiber-free areas), and such noise peaks must be removed when calculating the height and number of crepes. Therefore, the cross-sectional curve S is processed under specified filter conditions (λs: 150 μm (cuts noise finer than 150 μm), λc: 2.5 mm (cuts waves (waviness, inclination of the sample itself) larger than 2.5 mm) to calculate the roughness curve W (curve shown in Figure 9) (automatically obtained on the above software). λs is the "filter that defines the boundary between the roughness component and the shorter wavelength component" described in JIS B0601 "3.1.1.1", and λc is the "filter that defines the boundary between the roughness component and the waviness component" described in the same standard.
[0034] For the obtained roughness curve W, Rc (average height of peaks and valleys (convex and concave)) calculated automatically on the above software is taken as the crepe height. Here, Rc is the "average height of roughness curve elements" described in JIS B 0601 (2013) "4.1.4". Next, the number of peaks is counted from the roughness curve W in FIG. 9 to obtain the number of crepes. The measurement may be done visually, or if it can be calculated using software (e.g., spreadsheet software, etc.), that value may be used. Here, an example of a method for measuring the number of peaks will be described with reference to FIG. 10, which is a partially enlarged view of FIG. 9. One peak is defined by an inflection point that is convex upward and an inflection point that is convex downward, which are adjacent to each other. The inflection point is a point where the sign of the curvature (plus, minus) changes on the roughness curve W (0 at this point). In addition, if the height is less than 3 μm, it is not included in the measurement. In addition, three line segments S1-S2 are set for one height profile image, and three roughness curves W in FIG. 9 are obtained. Then, the number of peaks and Rc are calculated for each of these three roughness curves W. Three images of the sample are prepared, and the crepe height and number are calculated by averaging a total of nine pieces of data (number of peaks and Rc).
[0035] (Superabsorbent polymer) The superabsorbent polymer 12 used in each of the first, second and third SAP layers 23 is not particularly limited as long as it can absorb body fluids and prevent backflow, and examples thereof include polyacrylates, polyaspartates, (starch-acrylic acid) graft copolymers, (acrylic acid-vinyl alcohol) copolymers, (isobutylene-maleic anhydride) copolymers and saponification products thereof. Among these, from the viewpoint of the absorption amount per weight, polyacrylates are preferred, alkali metal polyacrylates are more preferred, and sodium polyacrylate is even more preferred. The superabsorbent polymer 12 may be used alone or in combination of two or more types.
[0036] The superabsorbent polymer 12 is used in the form of particles, fibers, etc., for example, but is preferably used in the form of particles from the viewpoint of ease of handling, etc. In this case, by avoiding the use of a fine powder of superabsorbent polymer 12 that has poor flowability as a powder and using a superabsorbent polymer 12 having a median particle size, it is possible to improve basic absorption performance and reduce the rough feel caused by the absorbent body 20 hardening after absorbing body fluids. The median particle size of the superabsorbent polymer 12 is, for example, in the range of 50 μm to 600 μm or in the range of 100 μm to 500 μm.
[0037] The basis weight of the superabsorbent polymer 12 in the first, second and third SAP layers 23 is, for example, 150 g / m 2 More than 800g / m 2 The following range or 200g / m 2 More than 700g / m 2 The SAP basis weight is within the above-mentioned range. By setting the SAP basis weight within the above-mentioned range, gel blocking in the first, second and third superabsorbent polymer layers 23 can be prevented, and the absorbent 20 (absorbent sheet) can be made to have a soft feel. The thickness of the first, second and third superabsorbent polymer layers 23 is, for example, in the range of 0.5 mm to 10.0 mm or in the range of 0.5 mm to 6.0 mm. The basis weight and thickness of the first, second and third SAP layers 23 may be the same or different.
[0038] The hot melt adhesive used to fix the superabsorbent polymer 12 in the first, second and third SAP layers 23 can be any adhesive with a melting point of 100°C or more and 180°C or less, and examples of such adhesives include synthetic rubber-based hot melt adhesives such as styrene-butadiene-styrene copolymers and styrene-isoprene-styrene copolymers, and olefin-based hot melt adhesives such as ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers. Known methods for applying the hot melt adhesive include the curtain coat method and spiral method in which the molten hot melt adhesive is applied from a nozzle in a non-contact manner, and the slot method in which the hot melt adhesive is applied in a contact manner. The content of the hot melt adhesive is, for example, 10 g / m2 from the viewpoint of not impairing the absorbency of the superabsorbent polymer 12 and the feel on the skin when worn. 2 The range is as follows:
[0039] <Method for producing absorbent sheet precursor> The absorbent sheet precursor 20A can be manufactured according to a known method. For example, the manufacturing method includes a first step of applying a hot melt adhesive to the non-skin side surface of a first hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21 and further spraying a predetermined amount of a superabsorbent polymer 12 to form a first SAP layer 23, a second step of superposing a second hydrophilic nonwoven fabric 21 on the non-skin side surface of the first SAP layer 23 and forming a second SAP layer 23 on the non-skin side surface of the second hydrophilic nonwoven fabric in the same manner as in the first step, and a third step of superposing a crepe paper 22 on the second SAP layer 23 to obtain an absorbent sheet precursor 20A. The absorbent sheet precursor 20A may be subjected to a pressure treatment or a pressure heat treatment as necessary. The absorbent sheet precursor 20A is embossed to obtain an absorbent sheet used as the absorbent body 20 in this embodiment. The absorbent sheet precursor 25A can be produced in the same manner.
[0040] (embossed groove) As shown in Figs. 5 to 7, the absorbent body 20 (absorbent sheet) of this embodiment has embossed grooves 15 of a predetermined pattern in plan view, which are grooves extending from its skin-side surface to the skin-side surface of the crepe paper 22. The provision of the embossed grooves 15 greatly improves the diffusion of bodily fluids in the absorbent body 20, and further imparts flexibility to the absorbent body 20, resulting in an absorbent article 50 with excellent wearing comfort and fit. The embossed grooves 15 include a first embossed groove 16 extending in the longitudinal direction at the center of the width direction of the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet, and a second embossed groove 17 which is a plurality of embossed grooves intersecting or contacting the first embossed groove 16 at an acute angle. Examples of the embossed groove 15 include a first type of embossed groove 15 shown in Fig. 5 and a second type of embossed groove 15 shown in Fig. 6. The embossed groove 15 can be formed on the skin-side surface of the absorbent body 20 by, for example, heat embossing, ultrasonic embossing, high-frequency embossing, or the like.
[0041] The first type of embossed groove 15 shown in Fig. 5 has a first embossed groove 16 extending longitudinally through the widthwise center of the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet, and a second embossed groove 17 that is provided on the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet in an X-shape in plan view, with the intersection of the X-shape positioned at the first embossed groove 16. The two second embossed grooves 17 forming the X-shape intersect with the first embossed groove 16 at an acute angle. In the X1-X1 cross section of Fig. 5, only the first embossed groove 16 can be seen as shown in Fig. 7(a), and in the X2-X2 cross section of Fig. 5, it can be seen that the second embossed grooves 17 are located on both widthwise sides of the first embossed groove 16 as shown in Fig. 7(b).
[0042] The second type of embossed groove 15 shown in Fig. 6 formed in the absorbent body 26 has a first embossed groove 16 extending in the longitudinal direction at the widthwise center of the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet, and a second embossed groove 17 provided in a rectangular shape in a plan view on the skin-side surface of the absorbent sheet, with each apex of the apex angle facing each other in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent sheet being located on the first embossed groove. Two V-shaped second embossed grooves 17a, 17b forming the rectangle are in contact with the first embossed groove 16 at an acute angle. In the X1-X1 cross section of Fig. 6, only the first embossed groove 16 can be seen as shown in Fig. 7(a), and in the X2-X2 cross section of Fig. 6, the second embossed grooves 17 can be seen to be arranged on both widthwise sides of the first embossed groove 16 as shown in Fig. 7(b).
[0043] In the embossed groove 15 of the second form, the quadrangle, which is the planar shape of the second embossed groove 17, is a figure surrounded by four lines of the same or different lengths, preferably straight lines, and the angle formed by two adjacent lines is called an apex angle, and the point where the two adjacent lines meet is called a vertex. A quadrangle has two apex angles that face each other in one direction, and two apex angles that face each other in a direction that intersects with the one direction. There are no particular limitations on the quadrangle as long as it satisfies the above definition, and examples of the quadrangle include a rhombus, a square, a rectangle, and a parallelogram.
[0044] In the first and second forms, the width dimension W3 of the opening of the first embossed groove 16 (hereinafter also simply referred to as the "width dimension of the first embossed groove 16") is formed to be slightly larger than or equal to the width dimension of the opening of the second embossed groove 17 (hereinafter also simply referred to as the "width dimension of the second embossed groove 17"). For example, the width dimension W3 (FIG. 4) of the first embossed groove 16 is in the range of 3 mm to 8 mm, and the width dimension of the second embossed groove 17 is in the range of 3 mm to 8 mm. If the width dimension is less than 3 mm, the diffusibility of bodily fluids in the absorbent body 20 tends to decrease. If the width dimension exceeds 8 mm, a thick flow of bodily fluids is generated, which may cause bodily fluid leakage and may not efficiently absorb bodily fluids by the superabsorbent polymer 12.
[0045] In the first and second embodiments, a plurality of second embossed grooves 17 are arranged in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent sheet. That is, three second embossed grooves 17 are arranged in the longitudinal direction. The number of second embossed grooves 17 is not limited to that in the present embodiment, and may be one or more. In a preferred embodiment, the distance V (FIGS. 5 and 6) between one second embossed groove 17 and another adjacent second embossed groove 17 may be 0 mm, and when they are separated from each other, it is, for example, in the range of 0 mm to 20 mm. When V is greater than 20 mm, the second embossed grooves 17 are too far apart in the longitudinal direction, and the improvement of bodily fluid diffusion tends to be insufficient.
[0046] In the first and second preferred embodiments, two lines Q1 and Q2 are assumed to be formed by extending both ends of the first embossed portion 16 in the width direction, and two lines P1 and P2 are assumed to be formed by extending the outermost points in the width direction of the second embossed portion 17 in the length direction. The imaginary figure enclosed by the two lines Q1 and Q2 and the two lines P1 and P2 is a figure with a minimum area that includes the entire embossed groove 15 and is similar to the planar shape of the absorbent sheet. In this case, the distance between the edge of the imaginary figure and the edge of the absorbent sheet is shown in FIG. 5 as L1 and L2, which are the lengthwise distances, and W1 and W2, which are the widthwise distances, but these are all the same and may be 0 mm (when the imaginary figure and the planar shape of the absorbent sheet match), and when there is a distance, it is, for example, in the range of 0 mm to 3 mm. According to this embodiment, the discharged body fluid is smoothly absorbed into the absorber 20 through the embossed portion 15. If the distance between the edge of the virtual figure and the edge of the absorbent sheet exceeds 3 mm, some of the body fluid diffused from the embossed portion 15 will not be instantly absorbed by the absorbent body 20, and will tend to overflow onto the skin-side surface, causing leakage. Note that this is not limited to the present embodiment, and L1, L2, W1, and W2 may each be varied independently within a range of, for example, 0 mm or more and 3 mm or less.
[0047] In another preferred first and second embodiments, the minimum distance W3 (FIG. 5) in the width direction of the absorbent sheet from one end of the first embossed groove 16 in the width direction to the tip of the second embossed groove 17 in the same width direction is, for example, in the range of 3 mm or more and 8 mm or less. According to this embodiment, the effect of improving the bodily fluid diffusion by forming the embossed groove 15 is stably exhibited. If the minimum distance W3 is less than 3 mm, the bodily fluid diffusion tends to be insufficient. If the minimum distance W3 exceeds 8 mm, a thick flow of bodily fluids is generated, which tends to cause leakage.
[0048] In yet another preferred first embodiment, the angles α, β, and γ (FIG. 5) formed by the "X" of the X-shaped shape of the second embossed groove 17 in plan view facing the edge in the width direction of the absorbent sheet are 50° or more and 90° or less. In the second embodiment, when the two apex angles of the quadrangle in plan view of each second embossed groove 17 facing the width direction of the absorbent sheet are the same angle, the angle of each of the two apex angles is 50° or more and 90° or less. According to this embodiment, the effect of improving the bodily fluid diffusibility by forming the second embossed groove 17 is stably exhibited. When the angles α, β, and γ are less than 50° or more than 90°, the superabsorbent polymer 12 that has absorbed and swelled with bodily fluids causes gel blocking, fills the second embossed groove 17, and tends to reduce the bodily fluid diffusibility. When a plurality of second embossed grooves 17 are present as in FIG. 5 and FIG. 6, the angles α, β, and γ may be the same or different.
[0049] <Carrier sheet> In this embodiment, the absorbent body 20 may be wrapped in a carrier sheet (not shown). The carrier sheet is a hydrophilic sheet, and wraps the absorbent body 20 entirely or partially. For example, the absorbent body 20 is placed in the widthwise center of the carrier sheet, and the carrier sheet and the absorbent body 20 are bonded together with a hot melt adhesive or the like as necessary, and then both ends of the carrier sheet in the widthwise direction are overlapped on the skin side of the absorbent body 20 and bonded together with a hot melt adhesive or the like as necessary, thereby obtaining the absorbent body 20 folded in a C shape with the carrier sheet. As the carrier sheet, any hydrophilic sheet commonly used in this field can be used, and examples thereof include hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics such as thermal bond nonwoven fabrics, spun bond nonwoven fabrics, air laid nonwoven fabrics, air through nonwoven fabrics, and pulp-containing nonwoven fabrics, tissue paper, absorbent paper, and the like. Among hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics, hydrophilic nonwoven fabrics such as thermal bonded nonwoven fabrics, spunbonded nonwoven fabrics, air-through nonwoven fabrics, and pulp-containing nonwoven fabrics are more preferred, and air-through nonwoven fabrics, pulp-containing nonwoven fabrics, spunbonded nonwoven fabrics, etc. are even more preferred. The thickness of the carrier sheet is, for example, in the range of 0.10 mm to 0.25 mm, and the basis weight is, for example, 5 g / m 2 More than 40g / m 2 The range is as follows:
[0050] <Back sheet> The back sheet 30 may be formed using a liquid-impermeable substrate that prevents the body fluid held by the absorber 20 from wetting the wearer's clothing, and examples of the substrate include a resin film and a composite sheet that is a laminate of a resin film and a nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric used in the composite sheet is not particularly limited in its manufacturing method, and examples thereof include single-layer nonwoven fabrics such as spunbond nonwoven fabrics and meltblown nonwoven fabrics, composite nonwoven fabrics such as spunbond nonwoven fabrics / meltblown nonwoven fabric laminates, and composite materials thereof. Examples of the resin film include polyester, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene, polypropylene, and composite films of polyethylene and polypropylene.
[0051] The basis weight of the back sheet 30 is, for example, 15 g / m2 More than 60g / m 2 The range is as follows. In order to prevent stuffiness during wearing, it is preferable that the back sheet 30 has breathability. In order to provide the back sheet 30 with breathability, for example, a filler may be blended into the resin film of the base material, or the back sheet 30 may be embossed. An example of the filler is calcium carbonate, and the blending method may be a known method without any restrictions.
[0052] <3D gathers> The three-dimensional gathers 40 are fixed to the skin side of the top sheet 10 near both ends in the width direction of the absorbent article 50 along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article 50 in order to prevent, for example, lateral leakage of bodily fluids excreted by the wearer of the absorbent article 50. The three-dimensional gathers 40 include an elastic stretch member 40a and a water-repellent and / or waterproof sheet member 40b.
[0053] The elastically stretchable member 40a is disposed in the vicinity of the free end (other end) of the sheet member 40b along the longitudinal direction, imparting uprightness to the free end, and enabling the free end of the sheet member 40b and its neighboring area to be deformed to fit the wearer's body shape. In this embodiment, the sheet member 40b has one widthwise end (fixed end) fixed to the vicinity of both widthwise ends of the skin side of the back sheet 30, a widthwise intermediate portion fixed to the vicinity of both widthwise ends of the skin side of the top sheet 10, and the other widthwise end being a free end having uprightness. The fixing position of the fixed end (one widthwise end) of the sheet member 40b is not limited to this embodiment, and examples thereof include the non-skin side of the back sheet 30, the vicinity of both widthwise ends of the skin side or non-skin side of the joint of all or part of each edge of the top sheet 10 and the back sheet 30 containing the absorbent body 20 therein, and the vicinity of both widthwise ends of the skin side of the top sheet 10.
[0054] The sheet member 40b is a water-repellent and / or waterproof sheet, and is made of, for example, a nonwoven fabric. As the nonwoven fabric for the first sheet member, any water-repellent and / or waterproof (liquid-impermeable) nonwoven fabric made of hydrophobic fibers can be used without any particular limitation, and examples thereof include spunbond nonwoven fabric, meltblown nonwoven fabric, and composite nonwoven fabric (SMS nonwoven fabric) which is a spunbond nonwoven fabric / meltblown nonwoven fabric / spunbond nonwoven fabric laminate. The basis weight of the sheet member 40b is, for example, 13 g / m 2 More than 20g / m 2 The range is as follows: As the elastic stretchable member 40a, for example, thread-, string- or band-shaped members made of natural rubber, synthetic rubber, polyurethane or the like can be appropriately used.
[0055] <Method of manufacturing absorbent articles> The absorbent article 50 can be manufactured by a known manufacturing method, and examples of such manufacturing methods include a process of accommodating the absorbent body 20 between the top sheet 10, the second sheet 60, and the back sheet 30, a process of fixing the edge of the top sheet 10 and the edge of the back sheet 30 partially or entirely around the periphery using a hot melt adhesive, heat embossing, ultrasonic embossing, high frequency embossing, or the like, and a process of providing the three-dimensional gathers 40 at predetermined positions on the back sheet 30 and the top sheet 10. The absorbent article 50 is appropriately provided with leg gathers, waist gathers, side flaps, and the like as necessary. The absorbent article 50 thus obtained is folded to be manufactured.
[0056] Although the present invention has been described above using the embodiments, it goes without saying that the technical scope of the present invention is not limited to the scope described in the above embodiments and examples. It is clear to those skilled in the art that various modifications and improvements can be made to the above embodiments. In addition, it is clear from the description of the claims that forms with such modifications or improvements can also be included in the technical scope of the present invention. EXAMPLES
[0057] The present embodiment will be described more specifically below with reference to examples.
[0058] (Examples 1 to 12 and Comparative Examples 1 to 10) The dimensions and angles of the embossed grooves were changed to obtain the embossed groove pattern shown in Table 1. The embossed grooves were the same as the pattern shown in FIG. 5 except for the dimensions and angles. Next, absorbent sheets of Examples 1 to 12 and Comparative Examples 1 to 10 used as absorbents were produced with the configurations shown in Tables 2 and 3. In Tables 2 and 3, the first sheet refers to the first hydrophilic nonwoven fabric, the second sheet refers to the second hydrophilic nonwoven fabric, and the third sheet refers to crepe paper or the like. In Tables 2 and 3, the SAP amount of 2.0 g for each of the first SAP layer, second SAP layer, and third SAP layer is equivalent to approximately 177.7 g / m2 in basis weight. 2 (=(2.0g) / ((150mm×75mm) / 1000000)).
[0059] (Production of absorbent articles) The absorbent sheet obtained above was used as the absorbent body, and an air-through nonwoven fabric (basis weight 25 g / m) was used as the liquid-permeable top sheet. 2 ) was used as the second sheet, and an air-through nonwoven fabric (basis weight 30 g / m 2 ) was used, and a composite nonwoven fabric (basis weight 15g / m2) was used as the three-dimensional gather, which was made by laminating spunbond nonwoven fabric, meltblown nonwoven fabric, and spunbond nonwoven fabric. 2 ) was used as a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and a breathable polyethylene sheet (basis weight 32 g / m 2 When the top sheet, the back sheet, and the absorbent body were integrated, the top sheet and the upper surface of the absorbent body were joined using a hot melt adhesive to produce absorbent articles of Examples 1 to 12 and Comparative Examples 1 to 10 having a longitudinal dimension of 230 mm and a width dimension of 90 mm.
[0060] [evaluation] The absorbent articles of Examples 1 to 12 and Comparative Examples 1 to 10 obtained above were subjected to the following evaluations. The evaluation results are shown in Tables 2 and 3.
[0061] (Crepe height and number of crepes on the crepe paper) The crepe height and number of crepes of the crepe paper were determined by the measurement method described above using a microscope (product name: One Shot 3D Measuring Macroscope VR-3100, manufactured by Keyence Corporation) and image analysis software (product name: VR-H1A, manufactured by Keyence Corporation). (Thickness of absorbent article) The thickness of the absorbent article was measured at the center of the absorbent article using an ABS Digimatic Height Gauge HDS-HC (Mitutoyo Corporation). (Absorption speed 3 times method) Bottom area 16.8cm 2 A measuring tool with a weight of 755.6 g and a hole with an inner diameter of 19 mm was placed on the center of the absorbent article in the longitudinal and width directions, and 20 ml of saline was dropped from the hole at the top. The time was measured from the point where the saline came into contact with the absorbent article to the point where the liquid was completely absorbed into the circumference of the center circle of the tool (first time). The same time was then measured after 3 minutes had passed (second time), and a third time was measured in the same way, and the total value for the three times was calculated. (45 degree leak test) A 45-degree leakage test was conducted to check the temporary absorption of bodily fluids. Two acrylic plates measuring 250mm x 400mm x 8mm were fixed, one horizontally and the other tilted at 45 degrees from the horizontally placed acrylic plate. The absorbent article was attached to the acrylic plate tilted at 45 degrees from the horizontal. 20mL of saline was poured toward the center of the absorbent body, and if no leakage occurred from the bottom of the absorbent article, it was judged as "○", and if leakage occurred, it was judged as "×".
[0062] [Table 1]
[0063] [Table 2]
[0064] [Table 3]
[0065] From the results in Table 2, it can be said that the absorbent articles of Examples 1 to 12 have a fast absorption rate, good 45-degree leakage, no problems with temporary absorption, and are less likely to leak. On the other hand, the absorbent articles of Comparative Examples 1 to 10 in Table 3 had a slow absorption rate, or poor 45-degree leakage, or both. Therefore, according to this embodiment, gel blocking is unlikely to occur, so that an absorbent article can be obtained that has a fast absorption rate, excellent temporary absorption, and prevents leakage of body fluids such as reverse flow and lateral leakage, even when body fluids are absorbed multiple times.
