Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a textile raw material processing system and an operating method thereof, in particular to a waste treatment system and method used for treating different types of absorbent articles, in which the system of the present invention can decompose, purify, recycle, and effectively reuse the absorbent articles, and to a textile raw material processing system and an operating method thereof. [Background technology]
[0002] Commercially available absorbent articles, such as disposable diapers and sanitary napkins, are used in modern life. Users of all ages may use absorbent articles according to their own needs. This is due to the development of people's consumption habits and lifestyles, the development of industrial production capacity, etc. Absorbent articles show advantages such as cheapness, light weight, cleanliness, hygiene, and disposal after use.
[0003] However, although absorbent articles may be convenient to use, they are usually composed of a skin-friendly nonwoven fabric used for contact with the skin, an absorbent layer that exhibits excellent liquid absorption capacity, and a waterproof layer made of waterproof plastic, which is used to encapsulate waste such as urine and feces. These absorbent chemicals may increase the complexity, cost, and burden of absorbent waste disposal.
[0004] Fluff pulp is an important component of absorbent articles. It plays a key role in enhancing the ideal properties of absorbent articles, such as absorbency, rewetability, diffusibility, compressibility, and flexibility. The raw material for fluff pulp is softwood. Softwood is characterized by its strength and long fibers. These characteristics greatly affect the usability of the product.
[0005] In addition, the density of the liquid absorption layer of the sanitary product is an important indicator in production. A low density increases the liquid absorption rate and total absorption, but the liquid diffusion rate decreases, which may increase the amount of evapotranspiration. However, a high density makes the liquid easy to spread. Therefore, in the production process, if the multi-layer liquid absorption layer is designed to have a configuration of large void material on top and small void material on the bottom, it can effectively diffuse and absorb the liquid in the small void material and reduce liquid return. Due to the special requirements for the product itself, the sanitary product is required to contain a fluffy liquid absorption layer, a diffusion layer and a high-density liquid storage layer at the same time. In this multifunctional liquid absorption composite material, the absorbent polymer absorbs a large amount of moisture in a humid environment, which results in clogging of the mucus, making it difficult to purify and separate the material. There are certain difficulties in the waste treatment procedure. The decomposition process requires a certain precision. Therefore, experts in this field need to develop a treatment system for decomposing, separating and recycling the fiber raw materials used exclusively for absorbent sanitary products. Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

The recycle module is simultaneously connected to the extrusion device, the tilted separator module, and the bulk pulping module, and receives the filtered liquid from the extrusion device and the tilted separator module for reprocessing by the bulk pulping module.
[0008] The present invention further provides a method for operating a fiber raw material processing system, which includes the following steps: In step (A), the above-mentioned fiber raw material processing system is provided; In step (B), absorbent articles to be cut are fed into the cutting module; In step (C), the cut absorbent articles are transferred to the bulk pulping module, which breaks and separates the absorbent articles by centrifugal force separation and breakage, leaving absorbent recycled materials; In step (D), the absorbent recycled materials are transferred to the salt slurry processing module, which separates primary fiber materials; In step (E), the primary fiber materials are filtered by the pressure screen, which filters secondary fiber materials and impurities; In step (F), the secondary fiber materials are filtered by the separation module, which removes waste of the secondary fiber materials by centrifugal force to form a cotton-like fiber raw material precursor. In step (G), the flocculent fiber precursor is transferred to the gradient separator module for filtering, leaving a primary flocculent fiber product, and in step (H), the primary flocculent fiber product is transferred to the extrusion apparatus for squeezing and dewatering to form a fiber material.

[0011] In order to understand the technical features and practical effects of the present invention and to implement it in accordance with the contents of this specification, the following detailed description is given with reference to the drawings showing the best mode for carrying out the present invention.
[0012] Please refer to the schematic diagram of an embodiment of the fiber material processing system of the present invention in FIG. 1. The fiber material processing system 1 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 1. The fiber material processing system 1 is composed of a cutting module 2, a bulk pulping module 3, a salt slurry processing module 4, a pressure screen 5, a separation module 6, a tilted separator module 7, an extrusion device 8, and a recycling module 9, which are connected internally. The bulk pulping module 3 is composed of a spoiler 31, a first rotor 32, and a blade 33. The pressure screen 5 is composed of a second rotor 51, a first filter hole 52, and a waste outlet 53. The tilted separator module 7 is composed of a slope, a second filter hole, and a liquid outlet. Furthermore, the first filter hole 52 is a spindle filter hole. The second filter hole is composed of a number of holes with different diameters.
[0013] The recycling module 9 is simultaneously connected to the extrusion device 8, the gradient sorting module 7 and the bulk pulping module 3. The recycling module 9 is used to recycle the filtered liquid from the extrusion device 8 and the gradient sorting module 7, and thus transfer it back to the bulk pulping module 3 for reprocessing or reuse. The main function of this embodiment is to systematically carry out the continuous processing of used absorbent sanitary products, and effectively decompose, separate and recycle them based on the special methods of each module, especially for the particularity of the fiber raw material F, and optimize the recycling capacity and recycling processing capacity, thereby realizing the effective reuse of waste.
[0014] First, the fiber raw material processing system 1 starts and operates with a cutting module 2 that processes the original waste. The cutting module 2 is connected to the bulk pulping module 3. In this embodiment, the cutting module 2 is used to cut, shred, break and separate the materials contained in the absorbent article. This process makes the contents of the absorbent article easier to separate in the bulk pulping module 3 and increases the pulping efficiency of the bulk pulping module 3. The bulk pulping module 3 is connected to the cutting module 2. The reusable waste cut by the cutting module 2 can be transferred to the bulk pulping module 3, where a high-torque disk blade performs the effect of breaking and separating by centrifugal force. The floss-like fibers are separated without clogging and transferred to the next process.
[0015] FIG. 2 shows the internal structure of the bulk pulping module 3. Please refer to FIG. 2. As shown in FIG. 2, the bulk pulping module 3 of this embodiment includes a spoiler 31, a rotor 32, and a blade 33. The spoiler 31 may be a single or multiple board or plate structure. The multiple spoilers 31 configured in the bulk pulping module 3 may generate a vortex when the liquid in the bulk pulping module 3 rotates. Therefore, the material may be guided to the blade 33 installed on the bottom surface of the bulk pulping module 3 through the downward flow generated by the vortex. Meanwhile, the blade 33 prevents the separated material from curling and clogging.
[0016] In this embodiment, the blade 33 may be a spiral blade or a disk blade, and the number of the blades may be multiple. For example, the number of the blades 33 shown in FIG. 2 is two, and the blades 33 are symmetrically installed on the bottom surface of the bulk pulping module 3. Furthermore, when the spoiler 31 of this embodiment is designed to be installed on multiple boards, the multiple boards are independently and symmetrically installed on the inner wall of the bulk pulping module 3 at a certain distance from the center of the bulk pulping module 3. Therefore, the bulk pulping module 3 can be balanced during rotation. Specifically, in the prior art, the absorbent article is broken or cut using a chopper or shredder, which may cause material leakage. However, the soft absorbent article may be finely crushed, which may make the subsequent separation operation difficult. The bulk pulping module 3 of this embodiment is further provided with a rotor 32 and an inverter motor connected to the rotor 32. The rotor 32 may be a cylindrical rotor, and can use the force of liquid to agitate and separate the absorbent article and allow the fluff pulp therein to escape. Meanwhile, this embodiment can monitor the consistency of the pulp to ensure the highest efficiency of separation and bulk pulping.
[0017] Otherwise, in this embodiment, the bulk pulping module 3 further includes a gravity level meter. The gravity level meter can detect the liquid level through the weight of the liquid and control the amount of waste. That is, when the liquid level of the bulk pulping module 3 meets a preset value, the system can automatically supply waste thereto, and the rotor 32 can rotate at a preset rotation speed and rotation time. After the rotor 32 finishes its task, liquid may be added again up to the aforementioned preset value. At the same time, plastic pieces broken or separated from the absorbent article float on the liquid surface. Meanwhile, other substances such as fluff pulp and the primary water-absorbing material may settle at the bottom of the bulk pulping module 3. Specifically, an outlet may be provided on the bulk pulping module 3 to remove plastic pieces from the bulk pulping module 3 to prevent the plastic pieces from clogging and hindering the purification process.
[0018] The absorbent recycling material processed by the bulk pulping module 3 may be transferred to the salt slurry processing module 4 in the next step. The salt slurry processing module 4 of this embodiment is connected to the bulk pulping module 3. In this embodiment, the salt slurry processing module 4 forms different layers according to different densities of the absorbent articles processed and broken by the bulk pulping module 3 for filtration. Specifically, the salt slurry processing module 4 of this embodiment receives the broken absorbent recycling material from the bulk pulping module 3. The absorbent recycling material exhibits different characteristics of absorbency and density. Therefore, the absorbent recycling material precipitates in the salt slurry processing module 4 according to its density.
[0019] Furthermore, the salt slurry treatment module 4 of this embodiment includes a buffer tank 41, a settling tank 42, and a slurry storage tank 43. The buffer tank 41 is connected to the bulk pulping module 3 and receives the absorbent recycling material. The settling tank 42 is connected to the buffer tank 41 and is used to separate at least one absorbent polymer having a higher density of the absorbent recycling material, such as sodium polyacrylate. The slurry storage tank 43 is connected to the settling tank 42 and receives the primary fiber material having a lower density of the absorbent recycling material. That is, the salt slurry treatment module 4 of the present invention can separate the absorbent polymer and the absorbent fluff pulp. Because the specific gravity of the fluff pulp is 0.98, and the specific gravity of the absorbent polymer is 1.4 to 1.8. The absorbent polymer with a higher specific gravity is retained in the lower layer of the settling tank 42, and the primary fiber material with a lower specific gravity is fluidically introduced into the slurry storage tank 43 as shown in Fig. 3. Meanwhile, the slurry storage tank 43 may further include a concentration meter for detecting the concentration of fluff pulp. Specifically, the salt slurry treatment module 4 may control the input pressure according to the actual input amount of absorbent articles, and control the flow rate of the absorbent recycled material in the salt slurry treatment module 4.
[0020] After the fluff pulp and absorbent polymer are separated in the salt slurry treatment module 4, the fluff pulp may be transferred to the pressure screen 5 through the slurry storage tank 43 in the next step. In this embodiment, the pressure screen 5 includes a second rotor 51, a first filter hole 52, and a waste outlet 53 or a combination thereof. The second rotor 51 is designed to have a different structure from the first rotor 32. The first filter hole 52 is designed as a spindle filter hole, so as to filter out unnecessary impurities from the fluff pulp. For example, wire, rope, plastic pieces, etc., which are the pre-stage of diapers. That is, the diameter of the hole can also be designed as a sieve. To separate plastic pieces such as PE and PP, the mesh of the hole can be in the range of 10-30 mm. Furthermore, unnecessary impurities are removed through the waste outlet 53. Meanwhile, the outlet of the pressure screen 5 has a preset pressure value. The pressure may be created by a stainless steel cap, or the cap may change its own weight, i.e., any mechanism capable of creating pressure on the fluff pulp within the first filter holes 52 is acceptable.
[0021] After filtering through the pressure screen 5, the filtered fluff pulp is transferred to the separation module 6, where a centrifuge may be used to further purify and separate the fluff pulp. The separation module 6 includes a first centrifuge 61, a dilution tank 62, and a second centrifuge 63, or a combination thereof. In this process, double centrifugation may be used to ensure that no water-absorbing salt remains in the fluff pulp. The first centrifuge 61 and the second centrifuge 63 may be cyclone separation units connected in series. The two-stage centrifugation of the cyclone separation units connected in series can purify the fluff pulp significantly. The residue of this process (not the fluff pulp) is transferred to the salt slurry treatment module 4 for recycling water-absorbing salt. The number of centrifuges in the separation module 6 may be determined by the user, and the present invention is not limited thereto.
[0022] Through the above steps, the fluff pulp is filtered to remove plastic chips or water-absorbing salts. Further purification is carried out to the inclined sorting module 7. In this embodiment, the inclined sorting module 7 includes a slope, a second filter hole, and a liquid outlet or a combination thereof. The purpose of the slope is to allow the fluff pulp to slide down on it by gravity. The second filter hole provided on the slope may exert a different filtering effect during this step, and effectively remove the remaining liquid and impurities. The second filter hole is different from the first filter hole 52 described above. The second filter hole may be composed of holes of different sizes. Specifically, the mesh of the hole is in the range of 0.325 to 0.725 mm. The liquid filtered by the second filter hole is recycled to the recycling module 9 through the liquid outlet.
[0023] Finally, it is ensured that the final fiber raw material F contains almost no liquid. Most of the liquid should be filtered and removed in the tilted separation module 7. Meanwhile, the fluff pulp is transferred to the extrusion device 8. The outlet of the extrusion device 8 may be equipped with a stainless steel cap, which may change its weight. The stainless steel cap creates pressure in the extrusion device 8. The pressure may range from 1 kg to 8 kg, preferably 4 kg, to squeeze out the remaining liquid. That is, the extrusion device 8 may compress the fluff pulp again to remove the liquid remaining in the fluff pulp. The removed liquid is also recycled by the recycling module 9.
[0024] In this embodiment, the recycle module 9 is used to recycle wastewater or excess liquid from the inclined separator module 7 and the extrusion device 8, or excess liquid from the bulk pulping module 3. The recycle module 9 may be a treatment tank / barrel containing a plurality of carriers. The carriers may be porous materials such as zeolites or activated carbon, filter materials, scaffolds, etc. The carriers are used to carry at least one degrading microorganism. That is, the recycle module 9 receives treated liquid from absorbent articles, which includes human waste such as urine and feces carried or absorbed by the absorbent articles.
[0025] Therefore, the decomposition microorganisms are used to decompose organic or inorganic waste in the recycle liquid and purify the recycle liquid. A continuous liquid recycle circulation mechanism can gradually purify the recycle liquid and introduce it into the bulk pulping module 3. Furthermore, the operation efficiency of the bulk pulping module 3 is also greatly improved.
[0026] The present invention further provides a method for operating the fiber raw material processing system 1. As shown in FIG. 4, the method for operating the fiber raw material processing system 1 includes the following steps. In step (A), the above-mentioned fiber raw material processing system 1 is provided. In step (B), absorbent articles to be cut are fed into the cutting module 2. In step (C), the cut absorbent articles are transferred to the bulk pulping module 3, which breaks and separates the absorbent articles by centrifugal force separation and destruction, leaving absorbent recycling materials. In step (D), the absorbent recycling materials are transferred to the salt slurry processing module 4, and the primary fiber materials are separated. Then, in step (E), the primary fiber materials are filtered by the pressure screen 5, which filters out secondary fiber materials and impurities. In step (F), the secondary fiber materials are filtered by the separation module 6, which removes waste of the secondary fiber materials by centrifugal force to form a cotton-like fiber raw material precursor. In step (G), the flocculent fiber feed precursor is transferred to the gradient separator module 7 for filtering, leaving a primary flocculent fiber feed product. Finally, in step (H), the primary flocculent fiber feed product is transferred to the extrusion device 8 for squeezing and dewatering to form fiber feedstock F.
[0027] As shown in FIG. 4, in step (A), the fiber raw material processing system 1 shown in FIG. 1 is provided. Next, in the above-mentioned step (B), the absorbent article fed into the fiber raw material processing system 1 may be a paper diaper, a nursing pad, a sanitary napkin, or other personal hygiene product, and the present invention is not limited thereto. The absorbent article mainly includes cotton-like fibers, an absorbent polymer, and its plastic. The fiber raw material processing system 1 can separate and purify the cotton-like fibers. First, the cutting module 2 of this embodiment cuts the absorbent article, such as a paper diaper or a sanitary napkin, to facilitate separation of the contents of the absorbent article in post-processing.
[0028] As shown in FIG. 4, in step (C), the cut absorbent articles are transferred to the bulk pulping module 3, which breaks and separates the absorbent articles by centrifugal force separation and breaks them, leaving the absorbent recycled material, which proceeds to step (D). The cut absorbent articles are transferred by overhead cranes or other methods until they enter the bulk pulping module 3. Meanwhile, the centrifugal force breaks and separates them by rotating high-torque disk blades. This effectively separates the cotton-like fibers and sends them to the next step. In this step, the bulk pulping module 3 removes the primary plastic, but at the same time leaves the absorbent recycled material. Specifically, the primary plastic is the waterproof material of the absorbent article, such as the waterproof layer on the outside of the disposable diaper. Therefore, the absorbent recycled material may include cotton-like fibers, absorbent polymers, or a combination thereof. That is, the absorbent article from which the waterproof material has been removed should be constituted by the scope of the present invention. The centrifugal destruction and separation may automatically control the rotation speed, time, and liquid level in the bulk pulping module 3 when the bulk pulping module 3 operates. For example, an "intermittent discharge" of pulp is used here to prevent the pulp outlet from clogging due to continuous discharge of pulp. The primary plastics, such as the plastic fragments, are removed from a plastic outlet at the bottom of the bulk pulping module 3. The bulk pulping module 3 further includes a first rotor 32 standing at the center of the bulk pulping module 3. The purpose of the first rotor 32 is to prevent the absorbent articles from clogging during the centrifugal destruction and separation. The bulk pulping module 3 further includes at least one spoiler 31. During centrifugal destruction and separation, the vortex therein creates a downward flow of liquid, which brings the waste therein into direct contact with the blade 33 located at the bottom of the bulk pulping module 3, thereby increasing the efficiency of centrifugal destruction and separation of the absorbent articles.
[0029] In step (D), the absorbent recycle material is transferred to the salt slurry processing module 4, and the primary fiber material is separated. Specifically, the primary fiber material is the result of the purification of this step. This step first separates the absorbent polymer, such as water-absorbing salt, contained in the absorbent recycle material. The absorbent recycle material is introduced into the buffer tank 41, which is a first buffer area of the salt slurry processing module 4. The buffer tank 41 performs a buffering effect from the bulk pulping module 3, and the absorbent recycle material may be temporarily stopped and suspended in the buffer tank 41. Thus, impurities may also be maintained there. The absorbent recycle material is further settled by gravity in the settling tank 42 constituted by the salt slurry processing module 4. That is, this mechanism can separate the absorbent polymer, which is denser in the absorbent recycle material, except for the primary fiber material. The absorbent polymer is retained in the settling tank 42 and used for other processes later. The salt slurry processing module 4 further includes a slurry storage tank 43. The slurry storage tank 43 holds the primary fiber material having a low density, which is guided by the fluid in the settling tank 42 to proceed to step (E).
[0030] After the separation of the primary fiber material and the absorbent polymer in the above-mentioned slurry treatment module 4, in step (E), the primary fiber material passes through the pressure screen 5. The pressure screen 5 can separate the secondary fiber material and remove impurities. The primary fiber material is processed by the second rotor 51 and the first filter hole 52 of the pressure screen 5, and the secondary fiber material remains. The primary fiber material may be removed again from impurities through the waste outlet 53 of the pressure screen 5. That is, the purpose of the pressure screen 5 is to remove impurities contained in the primary fiber material. The impurities may be water-absorbing salts and other substances that have not been removed in the previous step.
[0031] Since the effect of gravity filtration is limited, in step (F), the secondary fiber material is passed through the separation module 6. The waste material contained in the secondary fiber material is removed by centrifugal force, and the cotton-like fiber raw material precursor is purified. In this embodiment, the "cotton-like fiber raw material precursor" is cotton-like fiber that does not contain waste. The waste material may be water-absorbing salt or other materials other than cotton-like fiber. The separation module 6 further includes a first centrifuge 61, a dilution tank 62, a second centrifuge 63, or a combination thereof. In this embodiment, the double centrifugation may ensure that no water-absorbing salt remains in the secondary fiber material. After the first centrifugation, the dilution tank 62 adds liquid, so that the concentration decreases and the volume increases. This mechanism helps to separate the remaining water-absorbing salt. As shown by this embodiment, the number of centrifugations may be adjusted according to the user or needs. Meanwhile, the number of the dilution tanks 62 needs to be adjusted afterwards. The separation module 6 is further connected to the salt slurry treatment module 4. Thus, waste materials such as absorbent polymers separated in this process may be returned to the salt slurry treatment module 4.
[0032] Finally, steps (G) and (H) are mainly for drying and dehydrating the cotton-like fiber raw material precursor. The cotton-like fiber raw material precursor is transferred to the inclined sorting module 7 to form a primary cotton-like fiber raw material product. The primary cotton-like fiber raw material product is transferred to the extrusion device 8 and then squeezed to form a fiber raw material F. In the step (G), the cotton-like fiber raw material precursor is filtered by the inclined surface and second filter hole of the inclined sorting module 7. The second filter hole is composed of a plurality of holes with different diameters. The diameter of the holes may be appropriately adjusted according to the user or needs. The second filter hole is provided on the inclined surface, so that the wastewater of the cotton-like fiber raw material precursor is filtered by gravity. Meanwhile, the liquid filtered in steps (G) and (H) is recycled by the recycling module 9. Specifically, the recycled wastewater is mainly from the liquid outlet of the inclined sorting module 7 in step (G) and squeezed by the extrusion device 8 in step (H). The recycled liquid may then be transferred to the bulk pulping module 3 and steps (C) to (H) may be repeated.
[0033] In summary, the object of the present invention is to provide a fiber raw material processing system 1 and its operating method. The present invention can disassemble and recycle used absorbent sanitary products through the system. In addition, the system uses multiple special modules to completely separate the fiber raw materials, so that the raw materials can be regenerated into new usable products, thereby achieving the effect of effective waste recycling. Absorbent sanitary products are very complex. Therefore, the present invention provides various modules to continuously separate and purify the contents according to gravity, density, and material size. Therefore, the main target of the system is cotton-like fibers. Cotton-like fibers are lightweight and low-density absorbent materials. Therefore, the separation and purification of cotton-like fibers must be performed based on the aforementioned characteristics. Compared with other materials, the separation of cotton-like fibers involves more steps. In addition, the system must also maintain the structure of the cotton-like fibers intact. Therefore, after the purification of the secondary fiber material in the separation process, the intervention of large mechanical forces must be avoided in steps (F) to (G). For example, instead of a single shear force, multiple centrifugation and rehydration methods are used to ensure high purity fiber raw material F.
[0034] As will be understood by those skilled in the art, the above-described discretionary embodiment of the present invention is intended to illustrate the present invention, rather than to limit the present invention. It is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements that fall within the spirit and scope of the appended claims, and the claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements. Although the best mode of the present invention has been described above, it should be understood that various modifications are possible without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
