[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD Embodiments of the present application relate to the field of terminals, in particular electronic devices. [Background technology]
[0003] With the continuous development of electronic device configurations and technologies, ultra-thin design has become a trend. The external protective cover of the display screen and the chip-on-film (COF packaging) for the flexible printed circuit board of the display screen are located outside the display screen. The external protective cover is thick and protrudes from the display screen, and the overall structure of the external protective cover is not compact. Therefore, the visual experience of the user is affected. Summary of the Invention
[0004] An embodiment of the present application provides an electronic device, which can effectively reduce the thickness of a display screen assembly through structural optimization.
[0005] A first aspect of the embodiment of the present application provides an electronic device. The electronic device includes a display screen assembly and a protective assembly. The protective assembly is disposed along the side edge of the display screen assembly and includes a decorative layer, a support, and a buffer layer. The support is located on the side of the display screen assembly and fixed to the side edge of the display screen assembly. The decorative layer is located outside the display screen assembly and the support. A first part decorative layer is bonded to a first surface of the support through a first adhesive layer, and a second part of the decorative layer abuts the screen surface through a buffer layer, and the first surface is a surface that is on the support and located on the side of the screen surface of the display screen assembly. The first surface does not occupy the assembly space of the screen surface. After assembly, the support is located inside the decorative layer, and the decorative layer fixed to the outside of the support is used as a structure for pressing the display screen, and the product contour is formed by the decorative layer. The thickness size of the decorative layer and the buffer layer is properly controlled, so that the thickness of the protective assembly can be effectively reduced, which meets the lightweight and thin design trend of electronic devices.
[0006] In practical applications, based on the split design in which the decorative layer is independent of the support, the decorative layer may be made of a material different from that of the support, for example, but not limited to, a metal material with good rigidity to further reduce the thickness of the protective assembly.
[0007] For example, the first surface of the support does not protrude from the screen surface of the display screen assembly to avoid occupying a space size outside the display screen in the thickness direction such that the thickness of the protective assembly is reduced.
[0008] Based on the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a first implementation of the first aspect. That is, the electronic device further includes a speaker located inside the protective assembly. The support and the first adhesive layer each include an avoidance opening corresponding to the speaker opening of the speaker, so as to form an audio output channel. The speaker mesh structure is configured in at least the area of the decorative layer corresponding to the avoidance opening. Thus, the decorative layer helps to implement the function of the speaker. In other words, such an implementation is equivalent to the speaker mesh of the speaker implementing the function of pressing the display screen, so that the thickness size is effectively reduced and the user can perceive the front speaker. Thus, the user experience can be further improved.
[0009] Based on the first implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a second implementation of the first aspect. That is, the speaker mesh structure is configured within the entire area of the decorative layer. In this way, the user can perceive the front speaker and the support is hidden inside the visible surface, including the complete speaker mesh. Therefore, a better visual experience is provided. This embodiment has the characteristics of a simple and practical structure.
[0010] Based on the second implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a third implementation of the first aspect. That is, the shielding mesh is bonded to the inner surface of the speaker mesh structure via a second adhesive layer. Thus, compared with the solution in which the shielding mesh covers the avoidance opening, in this embodiment, the shielding mesh covers the inner surface of the speaker mesh, which avoids the visible color difference on the outside of the speaker mesh.
[0011] For example, the shielding mesh may be made of mesh fabric or non-woven fabric, so that the thickness size can be controlled and the manufacturing and assembly costs are low.
[0012] Based on the third implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a fourth implementation of the first aspect. That is, the second adhesive layer is a water-based adhesive layer. In this way, in addition to the grid joint surface of the shielding mesh, the side surface of the mesh is immersed in the water-based adhesive, so that the reliability requirement of the joint fixation between the shielding mesh and the speaker mesh can be met, and the sound permeability of the speaker can be maintained.
[0013] In practical application, the second adhesive layer can be formed by immersing the shielding mesh in the water-based adhesive, so that the processability is good and the characteristics of the water-based adhesive can be fully utilized.
[0014] Based on the first aspect, or the first implementation of the first aspect, or the second implementation of the first aspect, or the third implementation of the first aspect, or the fourth implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a fifth implementation of the first aspect. That is, the first adhesive layer is a hot melt adhesive layer, so that the bonding is reliable and the cost is controllable. Furthermore, based on the good affinity between the hot melt adhesive and the water-based adhesive, the assembly reliability of the protection assembly can be improved as a whole.
[0015] Based on the first implementation of the first aspect, the second implementation of the first aspect, the third implementation of the first aspect, the fourth implementation of the first aspect, or the fifth implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a sixth implementation of the first aspect. That is, the first adhesive layer includes an extension. The extension extends toward the buffer layer and extends out of the extension of the support. The second part of the decorative layer abuts the screen surface through the first end side of the buffer layer, and the second end side of the buffer layer is overlapped and bonded to the extension of the first adhesive layer, and the first end side and the second end side are arranged opposite to each other. In this way, an overlapped bonding area is formed between the buffer layer and the first adhesive layer, and a light-shielding blocking is established between the buffer layer and the support structure, so that the possibility of light transmission between the buffer layer and the support structure can be completely avoided. Therefore, the protection assembly is integrated with the sound amplification function, and the display screen assembly maintains good display performance.
[0016] In practical application, the second end side of the buffer layer may be located inside the extension of the first adhesive layer, or the second end side of the buffer layer may be located outside the extension of the first adhesive layer. In either case, a light-shielding blocking can be formed through a reliable bonding relationship.
[0017] For example, the first end side of the buffer layer can be disposed inside the decorative layer, so that a reliable pressing relationship is ensured and the appearance is good.
[0018] For example, the cushioning layer may be a sponge strip, so that the thickness size may be controlled.
[0019] Based on the first implementation of the first aspect, the second implementation of the first aspect, the third implementation of the first aspect, the fourth implementation of the first aspect, the fifth implementation of the first aspect, or the sixth implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a seventh implementation of the first aspect. That is, the display screen assembly includes a liquid crystal display, and the liquid crystal display includes a display screen circuit COF. An avoidance space is provided on a side of the support close to the liquid crystal display, so as to form an installation avoidance space of the display screen circuit COF and avoid affecting the pin connection between the circuit COF and the display screen assembly. Furthermore, a shielding plate is bonded and fixed to a position on the opposite side of the first adhesive layer to the avoidance space, preventing the bent circuit COF from being bonded to the first adhesive layer through the material removal portion, so as to ensure a reliable pin connection relationship.
[0020] For example, the shielding plate is made of Mylar. (MYLAR®) It is made of.
[0021] Based on the seventh implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides an eighth implementation of the first aspect. That is, the shielding plate extends from the first adhesive layer to a second surface, and the second surface is a surface of the support that is opposite to the display screen circuit COF. In this way, the display screen circuit COF can be protected, and burrs or sharp parts generated when the material removal portion is formed do not wear the display screen circuit COF.
[0022] Based on the first aspect, the first implementation of the first aspect, the second implementation of the first aspect, the third implementation of the first aspect, the fourth implementation of the first aspect, the fifth implementation of the first aspect, the sixth implementation of the first aspect, the seventh implementation of the first aspect, or the eighth implementation of the first aspect, the embodiment of the present application further provides a ninth implementation of the first aspect. That is, the decorative layer further includes a fixing part, and the fixing part is located on the side edge of the decorative layer on the side that does not abut against the screen surface. Correspondingly, the support is provided with an opening that matches the fixing part. Therefore, based on the bonded fixed connection relationship between the member and the second adhesive layer established by the first adhesive layer, by using a fixed connection method established by the fixing part and the opening that matches the fixing part, the connection reliability of the protection assembly is improved, and the protection assembly has good assembly processability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0024] The embodiments of the present application provide an ultra-thin electronic device solution. In the specific application of electronic devices such as smart televisions and display screens, the solution effectively reduces the thickness of the display screen assembly and takes into consideration the visual experience of users.
[0025] Without loss of generality, a protection assembly 10 is used as the description subject in this embodiment. In the display device 100 shown in FIG. 1, the protection assembly 10 is located at the bottom side edge of the display screen assembly 20. The components of the protection assembly 1 and the assembly relationships between the components are described in detail below. It should be understood that based on different product design requirements, the display screen assembly 20 of the electronic device may be an LCD display screen or an LED display screen. The specific implementation of the display screen assembly is not the core inventive concept of the present application, and therefore does not constitute a substantial limitation on the electronic device within the protection scope of the present application.
[0026] EMBODIMENT 1 Please refer to FIG. 1. The display screen assembly 20 of the display device provided in this embodiment uses a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) display screen 201. The speaker 30 of the display device is at the bottom of the display screen assembly 20. The protection assembly 10 is disposed outside the speaker 30 along the bottom side edge of the display screen assembly 20. The orientation term "outside" used in this specification, as well as the orientation terms "inside" and "side" used hereinafter, are defined through the body of the display device as a reference to clearly describe the relative positional relationship between components or the structure of the solution.
[0027] The protection assembly 10 includes a decorative layer 1, a support 2, and a buffer layer 3. Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3. The decorative layer 1 is located on the outside of the display screen assembly 20 and the support 2. The support 2 is located on the side of the display screen assembly 20 and fixed to the side edge of the display screen assembly 20, establishing a basic fixed connection between the protection assembly 10 and the display screen assembly 20. In practical application, according to different structural designs of the body of the display screen assembly 20, the support 2 may be fixed in different ways. For example, but not limited to, the support 2 is fixed to the fixing structure 202 on the back side of the display screen 201 through the threaded fastener 8 shown in FIG. 2. In other words, the support 2 does not occupy the assembly space on the screen surface, and establishes the aforementioned fixed connection only through the end surface structure on the side of the display screen assembly 20.
[0028] Please refer to Figures 3 and 5. The support 2 includes a first surface 21 located on the side of the screen surface 2011 of the display screen assembly 20. The first portion of the decorative layer 1 is bonded to the first surface 21 of the support 2 via the first adhesive layer 4, and the second portion of the decorative layer 1 abuts the screen surface via the buffer layer 3. In this specification, the "first portion" and the "second portion" are two functional areas on the main body of the decorative layer 1. The "second portion" is configured to press against the screen surface, and the "first portion" is configured to be bonded to the first surface of the support 2 so as to implement the basic fixed connection of the decorative layer 1. It should be understood that the "first portion" and the "second portion" may be different areas on the main body of the decorative layer 1.
[0029] Optionally, the decorative layer 1 may be a planar structure, and the first and second parts are on the planar structure. The decorative layer may be a bent structure. See Fig. 2 and Fig. 3. A part of the first part 1b and the second part 1a is on the same plane, and another part 13 of the first part 1b is bent into another plane. Correspondingly, the first surface 21 of the support 1 may include a slot 26, and the other part 13 formed by bending may be embedded in the slot 26 of the support 1. In this way, a more reliable joining and fixing relationship may be formed.
[0030] 2, at the position corresponding to the speaker opening of the speaker 30, the support 2 is provided with an avoidance opening 22, and the first adhesive layer 4 is provided with an avoidance opening 41 to establish an audio output channel. Correspondingly, the speaker mesh structure 11 is on the decorative layer 1 and is disposed at least in the area corresponding to the avoidance openings (22 and 41). In this way, the decorative layer 1 configured to press against the display screen 201 helps to implement the function of the speaker mesh of the speaker 30. In other words, such implementation is equivalent to the speaker mesh of the speaker 30 implementing the function of pressing against the display screen 201.
[0031] After being assembled, the support 2 is located inside the decorative layer 1, and the decorative layer 1 outside the support 2 is configured to press the display screen 201. Based on the feature that the size of the front outer contour is limited by the decorative layer 1, as shown in FIG. 4, the thickness of the protection assembly 10 can be effectively reduced by properly controlling the thickness of the decorative layer 1 and the buffer layer 3. Furthermore, in the display device provided in this embodiment, the speaker mesh and the decorative layer that press the display screen are integrated as a whole, so that the thickness size is effectively reduced and the user can perceive the front speaker. Therefore, the visual experience of the user can be further improved.
[0032] In this embodiment, the decorative layer 1 may be made of a material different from that of the support 2. For example, but not limited to, the support 2 is made of lightweight plastic to control the weight of the whole device. The decorative layer 1 is made of a metal material with good rigidity, for example, but not limited to, a stainless steel material. Therefore, the decorative layer can reliably press the display screen, and the thickness of the decorative layer 1 can be minimized. SUS304 stainless steel material is used as an example. The decorative layer 1 with a thickness of 0.3 mm can be manufactured, and the small gap between the decorative layer 1 and the screen surface 2011 can be controlled to 0.4 mm.
[0033] In practical application, the first surface 21 of the support 2 properly attached to the decorative layer 1 can be approximately flush with the screen surface 2011. See Fig. 5. Of course, the relative positional relationship of "approximately flush" is formed based on the fact that the thickness of the buffer layer 3 tends to match the thickness of the first adhesive layer 4 after pressing. It can be understood that the first surface 21 does not protrude from the screen surface 2011, so that the overall thickness size control can be more conveniently implemented.
[0034] It should be understood that based on the functional attributes of the speakers, the audio output channels arranged on the protection assembly 10 need to be arranged corresponding to the quantity and specific positions of the speakers 30. The display device in this embodiment includes two speakers 30. As shown in Fig. 6, the avoidance openings 22 are provided at two corresponding positions on the support 2, and the avoidance openings 41 are provided at two positions on the first adhesive layer 4 that are the same as the two corresponding positions on the support 2 (not shown in the figure).
[0035] As shown in Figure 3, the avoidance openings (22 and 41) are hollow. The specific size and shape of the avoidance openings can be provided based on overall design considerations to match the bearing capacity of the body of the support 2 at the opening location.
[0036] Please refer to FIG. 4. The speaker mesh structure 11 can be configured within the entire area of the decorative layer 1. From the user's perspective, it is equivalent to the support 2 being configured within the visible surface containing the complete speaker mesh. The design of the ultra-thin protective assembly can further provide the user with a visual experience that the speaker mesh is a full-sized surface on the bottom. For example, the decorative layer 1 can be manufactured by using SUS304 stainless steel, and the aforementioned speaker mesh structure 11 can be formed on the decorative layer 1 through an etching process.
[0037] In this specification, the speaker mesh structure 11 is configured in the "whole area" means that the area of the surface of the decorative layer 1 is provided with the speaker mesh structure 11 on the condition that the processing requirements for hole formation or mesh formation are met. Thus, the above-mentioned visual experience of the user is obtained. It should be noted that the speaker mesh structure 11 is configured in the "whole area" includes the case where the mesh hole pattern of the speaker mesh structure is regular or irregular, and also includes the case where a processing frame without mesh holes is left on the outer edge of the decorative layer 1.
[0038] Please refer to FIG. 3. In order to further improve the visual experience of the user, the shielding mesh 6 is bonded to the inner surface of the speaker mesh structure through the second adhesive layer 5 in this embodiment. That is, the shielding mesh 6 is used to cover the inside of the decorative layer 1. Not only can the functional requirements of the speaker be met, but also a uniform shielding effect for the speaker mesh structure is formed. In this way, compared with the solution in which the shielding mesh 6 covers the avoidance openings (22 and 41), in this embodiment, the shielding mesh 6 covers the inner surface of the speaker mesh, which avoids the visible color difference outside the speaker mesh structure.
[0039] In practical application, the shielding mesh 6 may be made of mesh fabric or non-woven fabric, so that the thickness size can be controlled, and the manufacturing and assembly costs are low. The second adhesive layer 5 may be a water-based adhesive layer. Specifically, the second adhesive layer 5 may be formed by immersing the shielding mesh 6 in the water-based adhesive. Based on the characteristic of using water as a solvent, the side surface of the mesh in addition to the grid surface of the shielding mesh is immersed in the water-based adhesive to form the second adhesive 5 that penetrates into the shielding mesh 6. Overall, after the water-based adhesive layer is cured, the reliability of the joint fixation between the shielding mesh 6 and the speaker mesh structure can be improved, and good sound transmission of the speaker can be obtained, that is, the functional requirements of the speaker can be met.
[0040] In addition, the first adhesive layer 4 in this embodiment is a hot melt adhesive layer, which has good bonding processability and low manufacturing cost. Furthermore, based on the good affinity between the hot melt adhesive and the water-based adhesive, good reliability of the bonding relationship between the decorative layer 1 and the support 2 can be obtained.
[0041] In order to avoid the light transmission phenomenon, as shown in FIG. 5, due to the manner in which the speaker mesh structure is constructed within the entire area of the decorative layer 1, the first adhesive layer 4 includes an extension 42, which extends toward the buffer layer 3 and extends out of the support, the second part of the decorative layer 1 abuts the screen surface via the first end side 31 of the buffer layer 3, and the second end side 32 of the buffer layer 3 is overlapped and bonded on the extension 42 of the first adhesive layer 4. In this way, the aforementioned overlapped bonding area between the buffer layer 3 and the first adhesive layer 4 is formed, and a light-shielding blocking is formed between the buffer layer 3 and the support 2, so that the light transmission between the buffer layer 3 and the support 2 is avoided, and the display screen assembly maintains good display screen performance. In this specification, the first end side 31 and the second end side 32 are not two separate components, but two parts of the buffer layer 3 arranged opposite to each other.
[0042] In this embodiment, the second end side 32 of the buffer layer 3 may be located inside the extension 42 of the first adhesive layer 4, as shown in Fig. 5. The buffer layer 3 may be a sponge strip, so that the thickness size is controlled.
[0043] In another case of practical application, the second end side 32 of the buffer layer 3 may alternatively be located outside the extension 42 of the first adhesive layer 4. In this way, the light-shielding blocking effect may be implemented through the overlapped bonding area. Moreover, the buffer layer 3 may be a silicone strip or a rubber strip.
[0044] For example, but not limited to, the first end side 31 of the buffer layer 3 is received in the decorative layer 1 as shown in FIG. 5, so that the pressing relationship is reliable and has a good appearance.
[0045] In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 7 and Fig. 8, the display screen circuit COF 203 of the LCD display screen 201 is disposed at the bottom of the display screen 201. The avoidance space 23 is provided on the support 2 and located at the side of the support 2 close to the LCD display screen 201, so that the installation avoidance space of the display screen circuit COF 203 is formed to avoid affecting the pin connection between the circuit COF and the display screen assembly. It can be understood that the actual configuration quantity of the display screen circuit COF is determined based on the specific model and size of the display screen 201. In this embodiment, the quantity of the avoidance space 23 on the support 2 and its specific opening position need to be set correspondingly.
[0046] As shown in FIG. 7, the shielding plate 7 is bonded and fixed at a position on the first adhesive layer 4 opposite to the avoidance space 23, to prevent the bent circuit COF 203 from being bonded to the first adhesive layer 4 through the avoidance space, and to prevent the circuit COF 203 from being bonded to the first adhesive layer 4 at that position, thus affecting the reliable pin connection relationship.
[0047] In some practical applications, the avoidance space 23 may be formed integrally with the body of the support 2, or may be formed through a secondary process in a machining manner. In order to prevent burrs or sharp parts generated when the avoidance space 23 is formed from contacting and wearing the display screen circuit COF 203, the shielding plate 7 may extend from the first adhesive layer 4 to a second surface 24 of the support 2 on the opposite side to the display screen circuit COF 203. The second surface 24 is the surface facing the bottom side edge of the display screen assembly 20. The second surface 24 is perpendicular to the first surface 21. This embodiment has the characteristic of good assembly processability.
[0048] In this embodiment, the shielding plate 7 is made of Mylar. (MYLAR®)As a result, the shielding plate is easy to take shape based on the internal structural space, and the manufacturing cost for the shielding plate is low.
[0049] In order to improve the integrated connection reliability of the protection assembly 10, the fixing portion 12 is disposed on the side edge of the decorative layer 1. As shown in Fig. 9, an opening 25 that matches the fixing portion 12 is disposed on the support 2. Of course, based on the matching relationship in which the top side edge of the decorative layer 1 presses against the screen surface, the fixing portion 12 can be disposed on the side edge of the decorative layer 1 that does not abut against the screen surface. Specifically, the fixing portion 12 can be disposed on the left side edge, right side edge, and bottom side edge of the decorative layer 1.
[0050] The fixing parts 12 and the openings 25 that match the fixing parts 12 may be implemented in different structural forms, provided that a fixed connection manner between the decorative layer 1 and the support 2 can be established. Please refer to Fig. 9 and Fig. 10 together. These two figures show a matching fixing structure located at the end of the side of the protection assembly 10. In this embodiment, one fixing part 12 may be disposed on each of the short side edges (left and right) of the decorative layer 1, and multiple fixing parts 12 may be disposed at intervals on the long side edge (bottom side) of the decorative layer 1. As shown in the figures, each fixing part 12 is formed by bending inward from the corresponding side edge of the decorative layer 1, the support 2 is attached to the decorative layer 1, and each fixing part 12 is fixed to the corresponding opening 25.
[0051] The following is a brief description of the main process steps for manufacturing and assembling the protection assembly 10 in this embodiment.
[0052] 1: Manufacturing a decorative layer 1 including a speaker mesh structure 11 and a support 2 including avoidance openings.
[0053] 2: Immerse the shielding mesh 6 in a water-based adhesive to form a second adhesive layer 5 that penetrates the shielding mesh 6, and bond the shielding mesh 6 onto the speaker mesh structure 11 via the second adhesive layer 5.
[0054] 3: Attachment of a first component of the support 2 to a first surface via a first adhesive layer 4 (hot melt adhesive).
[0055] 4: The support 2 is attached to the decorative layer 1 and each fastening portion 12 is fixed to the corresponding opening 25.
[0056] 5: The second end side 32 of the cushioning layer 3 is bonded to the extension 42 of the first adhesive layer 4 that extends outside the support 2 .
[0057] 6: On the opposite side of the avoidance space of support 2, place the Mylar (MYLAR®) The first adhesive layer 4 is covered with a shielding plate 7 made of a plastic, thereby forming a protective assembly 10.
[0058] Finally, the protective assembly 10 of the display screen assembly 20 is assembled on the bottom side edge. The support 2 is fixed to the fixed structure 202 of the display screen assembly via a threaded fastener. The decorative layer 1 presses against the screen surface 2011 via the first end side 31 of the buffer layer 3. After the protective assembly 10 and the display screen assembly are assembled, the speaker 30 installed in place is fixed to the fixed structure 202.
[0059] According to the display device 100 provided in this embodiment, based on the design of the ultra-thin decorative layer 1 and the small gap between the ultra-thin decorative layer 1 and the screen surface 2011, a solution of an ultra-thin protective assembly 10 integrated with sound amplification function is implemented.
[0060] EMBODIMENT 2 See Fig. 11. In this embodiment, the protection assembly 10' is also disposed along the bottom side edge of the display screen assembly 20. Compared with embodiment 1, the difference is that the speaker is not disposed at the bottom of the display device provided in this embodiment. In order to clearly show the difference and relationship between this embodiment and embodiment 1, components and structures having the same functions are represented through the same marks in the figures.
[0061] In this embodiment, the protection assembly 10' includes a decorative layer 1', a support 2', and a cushioning layer 3', with the decorative layer 1' located outside the display screen assembly 20 and the support 2'. The specific configuration of the protection assembly 10' is not required to be conducive to implementing the function of the speaker, and as a result, the assembly is simpler.
[0062] As shown in the figure, the decorative layer 1' is located outside the display screen assembly 20 and the support 2'. The decorative layer 1' is bonded to the first surface 21' of the support 2' via the first adhesive layer 4' and abuts against the screen surface 2011 via the buffer layer 3'. Similarly, the thickness of the protection assembly 10' can be effectively reduced by properly controlling the thickness sizes of the decorative layer 1' and the buffer layer 3'.
[0063] The material selection of the decorative layer 1', the support 2' and the buffer layer 3' is the same as in embodiment 1. The details are not described again here.
[0064] It should be noted that in this embodiment, the material removal portion and related structures (not shown) such as the shielding plate and the like formed at the corresponding position of the support 2' and the position matching the display screen circuit COF (not shown) can also be processed in the same manner as in embodiment 1. Details are not described again in this specification.
[0065] Moreover, the design solutions of the ultra-thin protection assemblies provided in the above embodiments 1 and 2 can be applied to other products with liquid crystal displays.
