Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a photosensitive resin composition, a photosensitive resin film utilizing the same, and a color filter. [Background technology]
[0002] Liquid crystal displays, one type of display, have advantages such as light weight, thin size, low cost, low power consumption, and excellent compatibility with integrated circuits, and their range of use is expanding to include notebook computers, monitors, and TV images.
[0003] Such a liquid crystal display comprises a lower substrate on which a black matrix, a color filter and an ITO pixel electrode are formed, and an upper substrate on which an active circuit part consisting of a liquid crystal layer, a thin film transistor and a storage capacitor layer and an ITO pixel electrode are formed.
[0004] A color filter is composed of a black matrix layer formed in a specified pattern on a transparent substrate to block light from the boundaries between pixels, and a pixel section in which multiple colors (usually the three primary colors of red (R), green (G), and blue (B)) are arranged in a specified order to form each pixel, which are layered in sequence.
[0005] The pigment dispersion method, which is one of the methods for producing color filters, is a method in which a photopolymerizable composition containing a colorant is coated on a transparent substrate provided with a black matrix, and a desired pattern is formed by exposing the substrate to light, and then removing the non-exposed areas with a solvent and thermally curing the substrate. This process is repeated to form a colored thin film (photosensitive resin film).
[0006] The photosensitive resin composition (pigment-type photosensitive resin composition) used in the manufacture of color filters by the pigment dispersion method generally consists of an alkali-soluble resin, a photopolymerization monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, an epoxy resin, a solvent and other additives, etc. The pigment dispersion method having the above characteristics is actively applied to the manufacture of LCDs for mobile phones, notebook computers, monitors, TVs, etc.
[0007] However, in recent years, photosensitive resin compositions for color filters using a pigment dispersion method, which has various advantages, are required to have not only excellent pattern characteristics but also more improved performance, particularly high color reproduction rate and brightness ratio characteristics. [0042] Unless otherwise defined herein, "particle size" means the diameter of a particle, and particle size may be the Z-average particle diameter measured by dynamic light scattering.
[0043] (Photosensitive resin composition) One embodiment provides a photosensitive resin composition comprising (A) a colorant, (B) a photopolymerizable compound, (C) a photopolymerization initiator, (D) a binder resin, and (E) a solvent, wherein the colorant comprises a pigment, a dispersant, and a dispersion aid represented by the following Chemical Formula 1: [Chemical formula 1] [ka] In formula 1, M is Cu or Zn, and R 11 ~R 14 , R 21 ~R 24 , and R 31 ~R 34 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; R 41~R 44 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; R 41 ~R 44 At least one of them is an alkoxy group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms substituted with an amino group.
[0044] (A) Colorant In one embodiment, the photosensitive resin composition is a pigment-type photosensitive resin composition, and the colorant includes a pigment. In a color filter manufactured using the pigment-type photosensitive resin composition, there is a limit to the brightness and the contrast ratio due to the particle size of the pigment.
[0045] In addition, for application in image sensors, a resin composition consisting of smaller particles is required to form fine patterns. To achieve this, it is necessary to realize a compound that helps disperse pigments and prevents re-agglomeration, and a composition using the compound.
[0046] The dispersion aid represented by Chemical Formula 1 has a phthalocyanine-based mother nucleus and an amino group asymmetrically substituted on the phthalocyanine-based mother nucleus.
[0047] The phthalocyanine mother nucleus interacts with the pigment, and the amino group asymmetrically substituted on the phthalocyanine mother nucleus interacts with the dispersant or dispersion resin. Therefore, the dispersion assistant represented by Chemical Formula 1 has the function of helping the dispersant in the photosensitive resin composition to increase the dispersibility and dispersion stability of the pigment.
[0048] Furthermore, the phthalocyanine-based mother nucleus expresses a blue color. Therefore, the dispersion assistant represented by Chemical Formula 1 has a function of assisting the colorant in the photosensitive resin composition to increase coloring power.
[0049] In general, the dispersion assistant represented by Chemical Formula 1 is a dispersion assistant that enhances the dispersibility and dispersion stability of the pigment by assisting the dispersant, and also has the function of enhancing the coloring power by assisting the colorant. Therefore, if the photosensitive resin composition containing the dispersion assistant represented by Chemical Formula 1 is realized in a color filter and a display, it can show more improved coloring power (color reproduction rate) and brightness ratio.
[0050] R 11 ~R 14 may each independently be a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
[0051] For example, R 11 ~R 14 may all be hydrogen atoms or all be halogen atoms, where the halogen atoms may be chlorine atoms.

[0055] R 21 ~R 24 The number of branched C4 alkyl groups (tert-butyl groups) in R depends on the number of alkoxy groups (A) having 1 to 20 carbon atoms substituted with amino groups in the dispersing auxiliary represented by Chemical Formula 1. If there is one alkoxy group (A) having 1 to 20 carbon atoms substituted with amino groups in the dispersing auxiliary represented by Chemical Formula 1, then R 21 ~R 24 In addition, when the dispersing auxiliary represented by Chemical Formula 1 has two alkoxy groups (A) having 1 to 20 carbon atoms substituted with amino groups, R 21 ~R 24 Of these, R may contain two branched C4 alkyl groups (tert-butyl groups). 21 ~R 24 If the number of branched C4 alkyl groups (tert-butyl groups) is three or more, the chemical resistance of the dispersing aid represented by Chemical Formula 1 is rather reduced.
[0056] R 31 ~R 34 may each independently be a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
[0057] For example, R 31 ~R 34 may all be hydrogen atoms.

In addition, the number of amino groups asymmetrically substituted on the phthalocyanine base nucleus is one or more. This will be explained in detail.

[0137] (Photosensitive resin films, color filters, and displays) According to another embodiment, there is provided a photosensitive resin film using the photosensitive resin composition according to the embodiment.
[0138] The photosensitive resin film of one embodiment is roughly divided into a color positive photoresist composition and a color negative photoresist composition.
[0139] In one embodiment, the photosensitive resin film may be a color negative photoresist, which has the advantages of not being colored by the photoresist and being relatively more photosensitive than a positive photoresist.
[0140] According to yet another embodiment, there is provided a color filter using the above-mentioned photosensitive resin composition.
[0141] A method for manufacturing a color filter according to an embodiment is as follows.
[0142] The above-mentioned photosensitive resin composition is applied onto a glass substrate using an appropriate method such as spin coating, roller coating, or spray coating to a thickness of, for example, 0.5 μm to 10 μm to form a photosensitive resin composition layer.
[0143] Next, the substrate on which the photosensitive resin composition layer is formed is irradiated with light so as to form a pattern required for the color filter. The light source used for irradiation can be UV, electron beams or X-rays, and for example, UV in the range of 190 nm to 450 nm, specifically 200 nm to 400 nm can be irradiated. The above irradiation process can also be carried out using a photoresist mask. After carrying out the irradiation process in this way, the photosensitive resin composition layer irradiated with the light source is treated with a developer. At this time, the non-exposed part of the photosensitive resin composition layer is dissolved to form a pattern required for the color filter. By repeating this process according to the number of required colors, a color filter having a desired pattern can be obtained. In addition, if the image pattern obtained by development in the above process is heated again or cured by irradiation with actinic rays, etc., crack resistance, solvent resistance, etc. can be improved.
[0144] According to yet another embodiment, there is provided a display including a color filter as described above.
