Summary of the Invention

Problems to be Solved by the Invention

[0004] When assembling the case cover and the case plate, since the assembly is performed with the electrical equipment provided on the case cover side and the substrate provided on the case plate side connected by a harness, an extra length is required for the harness. Here, in recent years, for improving the design and the like, miniaturization and low silhouette of the toilet seat device have been demanded. However, when the casing is miniaturized and the silhouette is reduced, the extra length portion of the harness must be stored in a limited space. Various devices are stored inside the casing. Therefore, if the extra length portion of the harness is not arranged at an appropriate position, there is a risk that the harness may be extremely bent or the harness may interfere with other devices. Also, if the extra length portion of the harness is not arranged at an appropriate position, the workability of the assembly work of the case cover and the case plate may be reduced.

[0005] Aspects of the present invention have been made based on the recognition of such problems, and an object thereof is to provide a toilet seat device capable of arranging a harness in the casing at an appropriate position.

Means for Solving the Problems

[0006] A first invention includes a casing having a case plate and a case cover covering the case plate, a first electrical device provided on the case plate, a second electrical device provided on the case cover, and a harness connecting the first electrical device and the second electrical device. The toilet seat device further includes a plate-side holding portion provided on the case plate side for holding the harness, and a cover-side holding portion provided on the case cover side for holding the harness, and at least a part of the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion overlap in the vertical direction when viewed from the front.

[0007] According to this toilet seat device, the harness can be efficiently stored in the casing. In addition, the workability of the assembly work of the case plate and the case cover can be improved, and the harness can be stored without difficulty after assembly.

[0008] A second invention is a toilet seat device according to the first invention, characterized in that a part of the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion overlap in the vertical direction when viewed from the front.

[0009] According to this toilet seat device, the harness can be efficiently stored in the casing. In addition, the workability of the assembly work of the case plate and the case cover can be improved, and the harness can be stored without difficulty after assembly.

[0010] A third invention is a toilet seat device according to the first or second invention, characterized in that the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion do not overlap in the vertical direction when viewed from the side.

[0011] According to this toilet seat device, even if the distance between the case plate and the case cover is reduced, it is possible to prevent the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion from coming into contact with each other. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the size and silhouette of the casing. Further, since the distance between the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion is large, for example, when holding a harness on the plate-side holding portion or the cover-side holding portion 72, it is easy to access, and the workability of the assembly work of the case plate and the case cover can be improved.

[0012] A fourth invention is the invention according to any one of the first to third inventions, wherein the first electric device and the second electric device are disposed on one side in the left-right direction with the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion interposed therebetween, and the harness is folded back in a surplus length storage space located on the other side in the left-right direction with the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion interposed therebetween while being held by the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion. The toilet seat device is characterized by the above.

[0013] According to this toilet seat device, the harness can be disposed in the surplus length storage space only by holding the harness on the plate-side holding portion and the cover-side holding portion. Therefore, the workability of the assembly work of the case plate and the case cover can be improved. Further, the harness can be efficiently stored in the surplus length storage space within the casing.

[0014] A fifth invention is a toilet seat device including a casing having a case plate and a case cover covering the case plate, a first electric device provided on the case plate, a second electric device provided on the case cover, and a harness connecting the first electric device and the second electric device, the case cover side having a cover-side holding portion for holding the harness, and the connection portion where the harness is connected to the first electric device and the cover-side holding portion at least partially overlap in the vertical direction when viewed from the front.

[0015] According to this toilet seat device, the harness can be efficiently stored in the casing. In addition, the workability of the assembly work of the case plate and the case cover can be improved, and the harness can be stored without difficulty after assembly.

[0016] The sixth invention is a toilet seat device including a casing having a case plate and a case cover covering the case plate, a first electric device provided on the case plate, a second electric device provided on the case cover, and a harness connecting the first electric device and the second electric device, the case plate side having a plate side holding portion for holding the harness, and at least a part of a connection portion where the harness is connected to the second electric device and the plate side holding portion overlapping in the vertical direction when viewed from the front.

[0017] According to this toilet seat device, the harness can be efficiently stored in the casing. In addition, the workability of the assembly work of the case plate and the case cover can be improved, and the harness can be stored without difficulty after assembly.

Advantages of the Invention

[0018] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a toilet seat device capable of arranging the harness in the casing at an appropriate position.

Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[0020] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. In each drawing, the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed descriptions thereof are omitted as appropriate. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a toilet device including a toilet seat device according to an embodiment. As shown in FIG. 1, the toilet device 2 includes a Western-style sitting toilet (hereinafter, simply referred to as a "toilet" for convenience of explanation) 4 and a toilet seat device 10 provided thereon. The toilet seat device 10 has a casing 12, a toilet seat 14, and a toilet lid 16. The toilet seat 14 and the toilet lid 16 are pivotally supported with respect to the casing 12 so as to be openable and closable.

[0021] In the following description of the embodiments, the terms "upward", "downward", "frontward", "backward", "right side", and "left side" are used. These directions are the directions as seen from a user sitting on the toilet seat 14 as shown in FIG. 1.

[0022] Inside the casing 12, a body washing unit 22 for realizing washing of the "buttocks" etc. of a user sitting on the toilet seat 14 is built in. The body washing unit 22 has a washing nozzle (hereinafter, simply referred to as a "nozzle" for convenience of explanation) 23, a nozzle washing chamber 54, and a nozzle motor 58. Further, the casing 12 is provided with a seating detection sensor 20 (see FIG. 2) for detecting, for example, that a user has sat on the toilet seat 14. When the seating detection sensor 20 detects a user sitting on the toilet seat 14, if the user operates an operation unit 6 such as a remote control, the nozzle 23 can be advanced into the bowl of the toilet 4.

[0023] The nozzle 23 discharges water toward a local part of the human body to clean the local part of the human body. At the tip of the nozzle 23, a perineum cleaning water outlet and a buttocks cleaning water outlet are provided. The nozzle 23 can spray water from the perineum cleaning water outlet provided at its tip to clean the perineum of a female sitting on the toilet seat 14. Alternatively, the nozzle 23 can spray water from the buttocks cleaning water outlet provided at its tip to clean the "buttocks" of the user sitting on the toilet seat 14. In the present specification, the term "water" includes not only cold water but also heated hot water.

[0024] Among the modes for cleaning the "buttocks", for example, "buttocks cleaning" and "gentle cleaning" which gently cleans with a softer water flow than "buttocks cleaning" are included. The nozzle 23 can execute, for example, "perineum cleaning", "buttocks cleaning", and "gentle cleaning".

[0025] FIG. 2 is a block diagram schematically showing the main part configuration of the toilet seat device according to the embodiment. In FIG. 2, the main part configurations of the water channel system and the electrical system are shown together. As shown in FIG. 2, the toilet seat device 10 has a water guiding part 30. The water guiding part 30 has a supply pipeline 30a extending from a water supply source WS such as a water supply or a water storage tank to the nozzle 23. The water guiding part 30 guides the water supplied from the water supply source WS to the nozzle 23 through the supply pipeline 30a. The supply pipeline 30a is formed by, for example, each part such as a valve unit 31, a heat exchanger unit 40, a flow path switching part 52, and a plurality of pipes connecting these parts.

[0026] A valve unit 31 is provided on the upstream side of the water guiding part 30. This valve unit 31 has, for example, a solenoid valve for controlling the supply of water to the supply pipeline 30a, a pressure regulating valve for adjusting the pressure in the supply pipeline 30a to a predetermined pressure range, a check valve for preventing the backflow of the supply pipeline 30a, and the like. The solenoid valve allows the water supplied from the water supply source WS to flow out into the supply pipeline 30a by opening the supply pipeline 30a according to a command from the first electrical device 24.

[0027] Downstream of the valve unit 31, a heat exchanger unit 40 (heating section) is provided. The heat exchanger unit 40 has a heater and heats the water supplied from the water supply source WS to raise its temperature to a specified temperature. That is, the heat exchanger unit 40 generates hot water.

[0028] The heat exchanger unit 40 is an instant heating type (instantaneous type) heat exchanger using, for example, a ceramic heater. The instant heating type heat exchanger can raise the temperature of water to a specified temperature in a short time compared to a stored hot water heating type heat exchanger using a hot water storage tank. Note that the heat exchanger unit 40 is not limited to an instant heating type heat exchanger and may be a stored hot water heating type heat exchanger. Further, the heating section is not limited to a heat exchanger and may use other heating methods such as those utilizing microwave heating.

[0029] The heat exchanger unit 40 is connected to the first electric device 24. The first electric device 24 controls the heat exchanger unit 40 according to the operation of the operation unit 6 by the user, for example, to raise the temperature of water to the temperature set by the operation unit 6.

[0030] Downstream of the heat exchanger unit 40, a flow rate sensor 42 is provided. The flow rate sensor 42 detects the flow rate of the water discharged from the heat exchanger unit 40. That is, the flow rate sensor 42 detects the flow rate of the water flowing in the supply pipe 30a. The flow rate sensor 42 is connected to the first electric device 24. The flow rate sensor 42 outputs the detection result of the flow rate and inputs it to the first electric device 24.

[0031] Downstream of the flow rate sensor 42, an electrolytic cell unit 44 is provided. The electrolytic cell unit 44 generates a liquid (functional water) containing hypochlorous acid from tap water by electrolyzing the tap water flowing inside. The electrolytic cell unit 44 is connected to the first electric device 24. The electrolytic cell unit 44 generates functional water based on the control by the first electric device 24.

[0032] The functional water generated in the electrolytic cell unit 44 may be a solution containing metal ions such as silver ions and copper ions. Alternatively, the functional water generated in the electrolytic cell unit 44 may be a solution containing electrolytic chlorine, ozone, or the like. Further, the functional water generated in the electrolytic cell unit 44 may be acidic water or alkaline water.

[0033] A vacuum breaker (VB) 46 is provided downstream of the electrolytic cell unit 44. The vacuum breaker 46 has, for example, a flow path for flowing water, an air intake for taking in air into the flow path, and a valve mechanism for opening and closing the air intake. The valve mechanism closes the air intake, for example, when water is flowing in the flow path, and opens the air intake to take in air into the flow path as the flow of water stops. That is, the vacuum breaker 46 takes in air into the supply pipe 30a when there is no flow of water in the water conduction part 30. For example, a float valve is used for the valve mechanism.

[0034] By taking in air into the supply pipe 30a as described above, the vacuum breaker 46 promotes, for example, the draining of water in a portion downstream of the vacuum breaker 46 in the supply pipe 30a. The vacuum breaker 46 promotes the draining of water from the nozzle 23.

[0035] A pressure modulation device 48 is provided downstream of the vacuum breaker 46. The pressure modulation device 48 imparts pulsation or acceleration to the flow of water in the supply pipe 30a of the water conduction part 30, and imparts pulsation to the water discharged from the bidet washing water discharge port and the buttocks washing water discharge port of the nozzle 23 and the water discharge part of the nozzle washing chamber 54. That is, the pressure modulation device 48 varies the flow state of the water flowing in the supply pipe 30a. The pressure modulation device 48 is connected to the first electrical device 24. The pressure modulation device 48 varies the flow state of the water based on the control by the first electrical device 24.

[0036] Downstream of the pressure modulation device 48, a flow rate adjustment unit 50 is provided. The flow rate adjustment unit 50 adjusts the water potential (flow rate). Downstream of the flow rate adjustment unit 50, a flow path switching unit 52 is provided. The flow path switching unit 52 opens, closes, and switches the water supply to the nozzle 23 and the nozzle cleaning chamber 54. The flow rate adjustment unit 50 and the flow path switching unit 52 may be provided as one unit. The flow rate adjustment unit 50 and the flow path switching unit 52 are connected to the first electrical device 24. The operations of the flow rate adjustment unit 50 and the flow path switching unit 52 are controlled by the first electrical device 24. In this case, the first electrical device 24 serves as a control unit such as a microcomputer. Note that the flow rate adjustment unit 50 and the flow path switching unit 52 may be integrated.

[0037] Downstream of the flow path switching unit 52, a nozzle 23, a nozzle cleaning chamber 54, and a spray nozzle 56 are provided. The nozzle 23 receives the driving force from the nozzle motor 58 and moves forward and backward into the bowl of the toilet 4. That is, the nozzle motor 58 moves the nozzle 23 forward and backward based on a command from the first electrical device 24.

[0038] The nozzle cleaning chamber 54 cleans the outer peripheral surface (body) of the nozzle 23 by spraying functional water or water from a water discharge portion provided inside thereof. The spray nozzle 56 sprays cleaning water or functional water in a mist form onto the bowl. In this example, a spray nozzle 56 is provided separately from the nozzle 23 for cleaning the human body. Without being limited to this, a water discharge port for spraying mist-like liquid onto the bowl may be provided in the nozzle 23.

[0039] The first electrical device 24 is provided on the case plate 121 of the casing 12. This first electrical device 24 is connected to each electrical device disposed inside the casing 12 and serves as a control unit that controls the operations of each electrical device. That is, the first electrical device 24 controls the operations of the valve unit 31, the heat exchanger unit 40, the flow rate sensor 42, the electrolytic cell unit 44, the pressure modulation device 48, the flow rate adjustment unit 50, the flow path switching unit 52, the nozzle motor 58, and the second electrical device 60, etc., based on signals from the human body detection sensor 21, the seating detection sensor 20, and the operation unit 6, etc.

[0040] The power supply circuit 27 is connected to an external power supply (for example, an AC 100V power supply) via a power switch 28 and a terminal 29, and converts the alternating current (AC) power supplied from the external power supply into direct current (DC) power. The power supply circuit 27 supplies the converted DC power to the first electrical device 24. For example, the valve unit 31, the flow sensor 42, the electrolytic cell unit 44, the pressure modulation device 48, the flow adjustment unit 50, the flow path switching unit 52, and the nozzle motor 58 are supplied with DC power via the first electrical device 24. On the other hand, the heat exchanger unit 40 is supplied with AC power via the power supply circuit 27. A power switch 28 for energizing and cutting off the power to the power supply circuit 27 is provided between the power supply circuit 27 and the terminal 29. That is, the power switch 28 is operated to supply power to the first electrical device 24 and the second electrical device 60.

[0041] The human body detection sensor 21 is provided inside the casing 12 and detects a user (human body) approaching the toilet seat 14. The human body detection sensor 21 is configured to be able to detect the presence of the user even when the toilet lid 16 is closed. The first electrical device 24 outputs a command to the second electrical device 60, for example, in response to the detection of the user by the human body detection sensor 21. Thereby, the toilet lid 16 is automatically opened.

[0042] The second electrical device 60 is provided on the case cover 122 of the casing 12. This second electrical device 60 is configured as, for example, an electric opening and closing unit that electrically opens and closes the toilet seat 14 and the toilet lid 16. The second electrical device 60 has a substrate 61, a toilet seat motor 62, a toilet seat transmission mechanism 63, a toilet lid motor 64, a toilet lid transmission mechanism 65, etc. (see Fig. 6).

[0043] The substrate 61 is connected to the first electrical device 24 via a harness 80. The toilet seat motor 62 is connected to the substrate 61 and is driven by a command from the first electrical device 24. One end of the toilet seat transmission mechanism 63 is connected to the toilet seat motor 62, and the other end is connected to the toilet seat 14. Thereby, the toilet seat 14 is opened and closed by a command from the first electrical device 24.

[0044] Also, the toilet lid motor 64 is connected to the substrate 61 and is driven by a command from the first electric device 24. One end of the toilet lid transmission mechanism 65 is connected to the toilet lid motor 64, and the other end is connected to the toilet lid 16. Thus, the toilet lid 16 is opened and closed by a command from the first electric device 24.

[0045] In addition, various mechanisms such as a "deodorizing unit", a "room heating unit", and a "warm air unit" may be appropriately provided in the casing 12. At this time, an exhaust port from the deodorizing unit and an outlet from the room heating unit are appropriately provided in the side plate of the casing 12.

[0046] Figure 3 is a plan view of the casing of the toilet seat device as viewed from above. Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of the toilet seat device in Figure 3 as viewed in the direction of arrow A - A. Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view of the toilet seat device in Figure 4 as viewed in the direction of arrow B - B. Figure 6 is a plan view showing a state where the case cover is removed from the case plate.

[0047] The casing 12 has a case plate 121 that constitutes the bottom of the casing 12 and a case cover 122 that covers the case plate 121. The case plate 121 is provided with a first electric device 24, a body washing unit 22, a spray nozzle 56, a water guiding part 30, a heat exchanger unit 40, etc.

[0048] The case plate 121 is provided with a first electric device 24. A harness 80 extending to the second electric device 60 is connected to the first electric device 24. The harness 80 is held by a plate - side holding part 70 provided on the case plate 121 side. The plate - side holding part 70 may be directly provided on the case plate 121 or may be indirectly provided on the case plate 121 via another member. The plate - side holding part 70 may be provided, for example, on the case of the first electric device 24 attached to the case plate 121 or other parts (none of which are shown).

[0049] The case cover 122 covers the upper and side portions of the case plate 121. For this purpose, the case cover 122 has an upper panel 123 that covers the upper portion of the case plate 121 and side panels 124 that cover the side portions of the case plate 121. The case cover 122 is formed in a box shape with an open lower surface by the upper panel 123 and the side panels 124.

[0050] At the rear end side of the upper panel 123, there is provided a toilet lid attachment portion 125 to which toilet lids 16 are attached on both the left and right sides. Also, on the upper panel 123, there is provided a toilet seat attachment portion 126 for attaching the toilet seat 14 in front of the toilet lid attachment portion 125. And as shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, on the back surface 123a of the upper panel 123, a second electrical device 60 is provided at positions corresponding to the toilet lid attachment portion 125 and the toilet seat attachment portion 126. A harness 80 extending from the first electrical device 24 is connected to the substrate 61 of the second electrical device 60.

[0051] The harness 80 is held by a cover - side holding portion 72 provided on the case - cover 122 side. The cover - side holding portion 72 may be provided directly on the case cover 122 or may be provided indirectly on the case cover 122 via other members. The cover - side holding portion 72 may be provided, for example, on the case of the second electrical device 60 attached to the case cover 122 or other components (none of which are shown).

[0052] Here, as shown in FIG. 6, the harness 80 has a surplus - length portion 80a in order to prevent the harness 80 from being pulled when detaching and attaching the case plate 121 and the case cover 122. This surplus - length portion 80a overlaps or interferes with other members provided on the case plate 121 when assembling the case cover 122 to the case plate 121, thus becoming an obstacle during the assembly operation. Also, there is a risk that the harness 80 may be disconnected if the surplus - length portion 80a of the harness 80 is caught by other members or excessive load is applied.

[0053] Therefore, with the case cover 122 assembled to the case plate 121, the harness 80 is held by the plate-side holding portion 70 on the side of the first electric device 24 and by the cover-side holding portion 72 on the side of the second electric device 60. In this case, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the left side of the plate-side holding portion 70 and the left side of the cover-side holding portion 72 form a slack storage space S in which the slack portion 80a of the harness 80 is disposed. The harness 80 is folded back in the slack storage space S. Thereby, the harness 80 is neatly stored within the casing 12.

[0054] Next, the positional relationship between the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 to 6.

[0055] First, the left-right positional relationship between the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 will be described. As shown in FIG. 4, with the case cover 122 assembled to the case plate 121, at least a part of the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 overlap in the vertical direction when viewed from the front. That is, the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 are provided at substantially the same position in the left-right direction. In other words, at least a part of the plate-side holding portion 70 is located within the left-right width dimension W1 of the cover-side holding portion 72 when viewed from the front.

[0056] For example, as shown in FIG. 6, the short distance L1 from the end of the case cover 122 to the cover-side holding portion 72 is larger than the short distance L3 from the end of the case plate 121 to the plate-side holding portion 70 and smaller than the long distance L4 from the end of the case plate 121 to the plate-side holding portion 70. Note that the long distance L2 from the end of the case cover 122 to the cover-side holding portion 72 may also be larger than the short distance L3 from the end of the case plate 121 to the plate-side holding portion 70 and smaller than the long distance L4 from the end of the case plate 121 to the plate-side holding portion 70.

[0057] As a result, the distance from the plate-side holding portion 70 to the folded-back portion 80b of the harness 80 and the distance from the cover-side holding portion 72 to the folded-back portion 80b of the harness 80 can be made the same as much as possible. Therefore, the excess length portion 80a of the harness 80 can be efficiently stored in the excess length storage space S.

[0058] Next, the front-rear positional relationship between the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 will be described. As shown in FIG. 5, in a state where the case cover 122 is assembled to the case plate 121, the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 do not overlap in the vertical direction in a side view. That is, the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 are provided at different positions in the front-rear direction.

[0059] As a result, even if the distance between the case plate 121 and the case cover 122 is reduced, it is possible to prevent the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 from coming into contact. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the size and silhouette of the casing 12. In addition, since the distance between the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 is large, for example, when holding the harness 80 on the plate-side holding portion 70 or the cover-side holding portion 72, it is easy to access, and the workability of the assembly work of the case plate 121 and the case cover 122 can be improved.

[0060] The plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 hold the harness 80 so that the harness 80 extends in the left-right direction. The first electric device 24 and the second electric device 60 are disposed on one side in the left-right direction with the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 interposed therebetween. Therefore, the excess length storage space S is formed on the opposite side (the other side in the left-right direction) of the first electric device 24 and the second electric device 60 with the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 interposed therebetween. As a result, the harness 80 is folded back in the excess length storage space S located on the other side in the left-right direction with the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72 interposed therebetween while being held by the plate-side holding portion 70 and the cover-side holding portion 72.

The slack storage space S is formed on the left side (the side opposite to the first electric device 24) of the plate-side holding part 70. Even in such a case, the slack part 80a of the harness 80 can be efficiently stored in the slack storage space S.

[0066] In the above-described embodiment, the case where the first electric device 24 and the second electric device 60 are arranged on the right side of the plate-side holding part 70 and the cover-side holding part 72, and the slack storage space S is provided on the left side of the plate-side holding part 70 and the cover-side holding part 72 has been described as an example. However, the aspect of the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the first electric device 24 and the second electric device 60 may be arranged on the left side of the plate-side holding part 70 and the cover-side holding part 72, and the slack storage space S may be provided on the right side of the plate-side holding part 70 and the cover-side holding part 72.

[0067] Also, in the above-described embodiment, the first electric device 24 provided on the case plate 121 is a control unit, the second electric device 60 provided on the case cover 122 is an electric opening and closing unit for the toilet seat 14 and the toilet lid 16, and the case where the harness 80 connects the control unit and the electric opening and closing unit has been described as an example. However, the aspect of the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the first electric device may be a substrate provided on the case plate 121, and the second electric device may be a substrate of a heater that warms the toilet seat 14 provided on the case cover 122, a remote control light receiving substrate, a human body detection sensor, a seating detection sensor, or the like. And the harness 80 may extend between the first electric device provided on the case plate 121 side and the second electric device provided on the case cover 122 side. This is the same for the first and second modified examples.
