[0005] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent Publication No. 2020-82926 Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]

[0006] However, conventional console boxes including the one disclosed in Patent Document 1 have a problem in that the structure becomes complicated and the number of parts increases because they are equipped with a malfunction prevention device, which in turn increases the weight. [Means for solving the problem]

[0007] Various aspects of the console box for solving the above problems will be described below. [Mode 1] A console box comprising a box body having an upper opening, and a lid that is rotatably connected to the box body and opens and closes the upper opening, wherein the lid has the lid body, a pivot axis provided on one side of the lid body in the width direction and connecting the lid body to the box body, and an operating unit provided corresponding to the pivot axis and that, when operated, releases the connection between the pivot axis and the box body, and the console box is configured to be rotatable around the pivot axis, while the lid can be removed from the box body when the operating unit is operated.

[0008] According to this configuration, the lid body is rotated by a rotation shaft provided on one side of the lid body in the width direction, thereby opening and closing the top opening of the box body. Furthermore, when the operating unit is operated, the connection between the rotation shaft and the box body is released. This allows the lid to be removed from the box body. Therefore, usability can be improved.

[0009] [Aspect 2] A console box as described in [Aspect 1], in which a pair of the pivot axes are arranged parallel to each other on both sides of the width direction of the lid body, a pair of the operating units are arranged corresponding to each of the pair of pivot axes and independently of each other, the lid is configured to be rotatable around one of the pair of pivot axes selected from the pair of pivot axes, while the lid is configured to be removable from the box body by operating both of the pair of operating units.

[0010] With this configuration, when one of the pair of operating parts is operated, the connection between the pivot shaft corresponding to that operating part and the box body is released, allowing the lid to rotate around the axis of the pivot shaft corresponding to the other operating part.

[0011] According to the above configuration, since the pair of operating parts are independent of each other, when both of the pair of operating parts are operated, the connection between both of the pair of rotating shafts and the box body is released, thereby making it possible to remove the lid from the box body.

[0012] In this way, according to the above configuration, since no device for preventing the pair of operating parts from being operated is provided, the structure of the lid can be simplified and the number of parts can be reduced. Therefore, in a console box whose lid can be opened and closed from both sides, the structure can be simplified and the number of parts can be reduced.

[0013] [Aspect 3] A console box described in [Aspect 1] or [Aspect 2], wherein the lid body has a first surface and a second surface located on the back side of the first surface, and the box body and the lid have a shape that allows the lid to be attached to the box body regardless of whether the first surface or the second surface is facing upward.

[0014] According to this configuration, the lid can be attached to the box body regardless of whether the first surface or the second surface of the lid body is facing upward. [Aspect 4] A console box according to [Aspect 3], wherein the first surface has an armrest surface and the second surface has a tray surface including a recess.

[0015] According to this configuration, when the lid is attached to the box body with the first surface of the lid body facing upward, the lid can be used as an armrest, and when the lid is attached to the box body with the second surface of the lid body facing upward, the lid can be used as a tray.

[0016] [Aspect 5] A console box described in any one of [Aspect 1] to [Aspect 4], wherein the box body is equipped with a lifting mechanism that constantly urges the lid upward. According to this configuration, when the operating unit is operated to release the connection between the pivot shaft and the box body, the lifting mechanism lifts the lid upward, thereby preventing the lid from being unable to be removed due to the pivot shaft and the box body being reconnected after the operation of the operating unit is released.

[0017] [Aspect 6] A console box as described in any one of [Aspect 1] to [Aspect 5], wherein the operating unit moves the pivot shaft inward in the width direction when operated, the lid is provided with a first biasing member that constantly biases the operating unit outward in the width direction, the box body is provided with a pair of shims that are non-rotatably assembled to the box body and rotatably support both ends of the pivot shaft, and a pair of second biasing members that constantly bias the shims toward the side closer to the pivot shaft in the axial direction of the pivot shaft, the shims have an accommodating recess that accommodates the axial end of the pivot shaft, and the inner peripheral surface of the accommodating recess is provided on the inner side in the width direction with an inner inclined surface that is inclined so that the outer side of the accommodating recess in the axial direction is positioned more inward in the width direction, and the inner inclined surface is positioned so as to overlap the pivot shaft in the width direction.

[0018] According to this configuration, when the operating part is operated, the axial end of the pivot shaft presses the inner inclined surface of the shim storage recess inward in the width direction. At this time, because the inner inclined surface is inclined so that the outermost part of the storage recess is positioned closer to the innermost part in the width direction in the axial direction, the shim moves in the axial direction away from the pivot shaft against the biasing force of the second biasing member. Then, when the pivot shaft comes out of the shim storage recess, the connection between the pivot shaft and the box body is released.

[0019] [Aspect 7] A console box as described in [Aspect 6], in which the upper portion of the outer peripheral surface of the shim is provided with an outer peripheral inclined surface that slopes downward as it approaches the pivot axis in the axial direction, and the outer peripheral inclined surface is positioned so as to overlap with the pivot axis in the vertical direction.

[0020] According to this configuration, when the lid is pressed against the box body during attachment to the box body, the axial end of the pivot shaft presses the outer peripheral inclined surface of the shim storage recess downward. At this time, because the outer peripheral inclined surface is inclined so that it is positioned lower the closer it is to the pivot shaft in the axial direction, the shim moves in the axial direction away from the pivot shaft against the biasing force of the second biasing member. Then, when the pivot shaft descends to the same axis as the shim, the biasing force of the second biasing member causes the shim to move in the axial direction toward the pivot shaft, so that the axial end of the pivot shaft is accommodated in the shim storage recess. This connects the pivot shaft to the box body.

[0021] [Aspect 8] A console box as described in [Aspect 6] or [Aspect 7], wherein the lid body has a regulating protrusion protruding toward the axis of the pivot shaft, and the end face of the shim on the pivot shaft side in the axial direction is provided with an allowable recess that allows rotation of the regulating protrusion as the lid body rotates, and when the opening side of the lid body in the rotation direction of the lid body around the axis is considered to be the opening side, the opening side of the allowable recess in the rotation direction is provided with an open-side inclined surface that is inclined so that the opening side is closer to the regulating protrusion in the axial direction, and the open-side inclined surface overlaps with the regulating protrusion in the rotation direction.

[0022] According to this configuration, when the lid is opened beyond the first opening degree, the restricting protrusion on the lid body presses the opening-side inclined surface on the end face of the shim. The opening-side inclined surface is inclined so that it is positioned closer to the restricting protrusion in the axial direction as it opens. Therefore, the shim moves axially away from the pivot shaft against the biasing force of the second biasing member. When the lid opens to a second opening degree greater than the first opening degree, the pivot shaft slips out of the shim's recess, releasing the connection between the pivot shaft and the box body. This prevents the lid from opening too far.

[0023] [Aspect 9] A console box described in any one of [Aspect 6] to [Aspect 8], wherein the rotating shaft is configured separately from the operating unit, a pair of pinion gears are provided at both ends of the rotating shaft, and the lid main body has a pair of rack gears that mesh with the pair of pinion gears and support the pinion gears rotatably and movably in the width direction.

[0024] If the operating part is located at a position offset toward one end of the rotating shaft rather than the center between the first and second ends in the axial direction of the rotating shaft, when the operating part is operated, the pressing force acting on the inner inclined surface of the shim-accommodating recess tends to be different between the first end and the second end, which can make it difficult for the rotating shaft to come out of the shim-accommodating recess.

[0025] In this regard, according to the above configuration, a pair of pinion gears provided at both ends of the pivot shaft are respectively meshed with a pair of rack gears provided on the lid body, thereby supporting the pivot shaft so that it can move in the width direction. Therefore, when the operating part is operated, the pivot shaft moves inward in the width direction while rotating around its own axis. This makes the pressing force acting on the inner inclined surface of the shim storage recess uniform on the first end side and the second end side. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the pivot shaft from becoming difficult to remove from the shim storage recess.

[0026] [Mode 10] The rotating shaft has a first shaft portion having a first end of the rotating shaft and a second shaft portion having a second end of the rotating shaft opposite the first end, the operating portion is configured as a separate body from the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion, is located between the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion, and is operated by being pushed inward in the width direction relative to the lid body, and the box body is provided with a pair of bearing portions that respectively accommodate the first end and the second end and rotatably support the first end and the second end, The lid is provided with a first biasing member that constantly biases the operating unit outward in the width direction, a second biasing member is provided between the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion that biases the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion in directions away from each other, and a linkage mechanism is provided between the operating unit and the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion that moves the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion toward each other in conjunction with movement of the operating unit inward in the width direction. The console box described in any one of [Aspect 1] to [Aspect 5].

[0027] According to this configuration, the first end of the first shaft and the second end of the second shaft are rotatably supported by a pair of bearings on the box body. When the operating unit is pushed inward in the width direction, the interlocking mechanism moves the first shaft and the second shaft toward each other. This allows the first shaft and the second shaft to come out of the pair of bearings, respectively, thereby releasing the connection between the rotating shaft and the box body. Therefore, the console box according to the present invention can be easily realized. [Effects of the Invention]

[0028] According to the present invention, in a console box whose lid can be opened and closed from both sides, the structure can be simplified and the number of parts can be reduced. [Brief explanation of the drawings]

The second spring 29 corresponds to a second urging member according to the present invention.

[0065] As shown in Figures 4(a) and 4(b), the outer peripheral surface of the shim 20 is provided with a locking recess 24 extending in the front-rear direction L. The locking recess 24 opens to the end surface 20a. The locking recess 24 is locked to the locking protrusion 13a of the shim accommodating recess 13. This allows the shim 20 to be assembled to the box body 10 so as not to be rotatable.

[0066] As shown in FIGS. 4(b), 5 and 6, the shim 20 has an accommodating recess 21 that accommodates the end of the rotary shaft 41 in the axial direction L and supports it rotatably. As shown in FIG. 4(b) and FIG. 6, an inner inclined surface 23 is provided on the inner peripheral surface of the accommodation recess 21 at a portion on the inside in the vehicle width direction W.

[0067] 6, the inner inclined surface 23 is inclined so as to be positioned more inward in the vehicle width direction W toward the rear. That is, the inner inclined surface 23 is inclined so as to be positioned more inward in the width direction W toward the outside of the accommodating recess 21 in the axial direction L. The inner inclined surface 23 is provided at a position overlapping with the pivot shaft 41 in the width direction W.

[0068] As shown in FIGS. 4(b) and 5, an outer peripheral inclined surface 25 is provided on the upper portion of the outer peripheral surface of the shim 20. 5, the outer peripheral inclined surface 25 is inclined so that it is positioned lower toward the rear. That is, the outer peripheral inclined surface 25 is inclined so that it is positioned lower toward the rotation shaft 41 in the axial direction L. The outer peripheral inclined surface 25 is provided at a position overlapping with the rotation shaft 41 in the up-down direction.

[0069] Next, the operation of this embodiment will be described. When the operating portion 42 is pushed inward in the width direction W, the end portion of the rotating shaft 41 in the axial direction L presses the inner inclined surface 23 of the accommodation recess 21 of the shim 20 inward in the width direction W.

[0070] 6, since the inner inclined surface 23 is inclined so as to be positioned more inward in the width direction W than the outer side of the accommodating recess 21 in the axial direction L, the shim 20 moves in the axial direction L toward the side away from the pivot shaft 41 against the biasing force of the second spring 29. Then, the pivot shaft 41 comes out of the accommodating recess 21 of the shim 20, and the connection between the pivot shaft 41 and the box body 10 is released.

[0071] In this way, when one of the pair of operating parts 42 is pressed in, the connection between the rotation shaft 41 corresponding to that one operating part 42 and the box body 10 is released. This allows the lid 30 to rotate around the axis C of the rotation shaft 41 corresponding to the other operating part 42 (this is action 1).

[0072] Here, since the pair of operating parts 42 are independent of each other, when both of the pair of operating parts 42 are simultaneously pressed in, the connection between both of the pair of rotating shafts 41 and the box body 10 is released. This makes it possible to remove the lid 30 from the box body 10 (this is action 2).

[0073] Furthermore, when the lid 30 is pressed against the box body 10 when it is attached to the box body 10, the end of the pivot shaft 41 in the axial direction L presses the outer peripheral inclined surface 25 of the accommodating recess 21 of the shim 20 downward.

[0074] 5, since the outer peripheral inclined surface 25 is inclined so as to be positioned lower as it approaches the pivot shaft 41 in the axial direction L, the shim 20 moves in the axial direction L toward the side away from the pivot shaft 41 against the biasing force of the second spring 29. Then, when the pivot shaft 41 descends to the same axis as the shim 20, the biasing force of the second spring 29 causes the shim 20 to move in the axial direction L toward the pivot shaft 41, so that the end of the pivot shaft 41 in the axial direction L is accommodated in the accommodation recess 21 of the shim 20. As a result, the pivot shaft 41 is connected to the box body 10 (this is action 3).

[0075] Next, the effects of this embodiment will be described. (1-1) The lid 30 has a lid main body 31, a pair of rotation shafts 41, and a pair of operation units 42. The lid 30 is configured to be rotatable about the axis C of one of the pair of rotation shafts 41 selected from the pair of rotation shafts 41, while the lid 30 is configured to be detachable from the box main body 10 by simultaneously operating both of the pair of operation units 42.

[0076] With this configuration, the above-described effects 1 and 2 of this embodiment are achieved, and since a device for preventing a pair of operating parts 42 from being operated simultaneously is not provided, the structure of the lid 30 can be simplified and the number of parts can be reduced.

[0077] (1-2) The lid body 31 has a first surface 32A and a second surface 34A located on the back side of the first surface 32A. The box body 10 and the lid 30 have shapes that allow the lid 30 to be attached to the box body 10 regardless of whether the first surface 32A or the second surface 34A is facing upward.

[0078] According to this configuration, the lid 30 can be attached to the box body 10 regardless of whether the first surface 32A or the second surface 34A of the lid body 31 is facing upward.

[0079] (1-3) The first surface 32A has an armrest surface, and the second surface 34A has a tray surface including a recess 34a. According to this configuration, when the lid 30 is attached to the box body 10 with the first surface 32A of the lid body 31 facing upward, the lid 30 can be used as an armrest. Also, when the lid 30 is attached to the box body 10 with the second surface 34A of the lid body 31 facing upward, the lid 30 can be used as a tray.

[0080] (1-4) The box body 10 is provided with a lifting mechanism 19. According to this configuration, when both of the pair of operating parts 42 are simultaneously pressed in to release the connection between both of the pair of rotating shafts 41 and the box body 10, the lid 30 is lifted upward by the lifting mechanism 19. This prevents the lid 30 from becoming unable to be removed because both of the pair of rotating shafts 41 and the box body 10 are again connected after the pressing operation of both of the pair of operating parts 42 is released.

[0081] (1-5) The shim 20 has an inner inclined surface 23 . According to this configuration, the lid 30 having the rotation shaft 41 and the operating portion 42 can be realized with a simple configuration by achieving the above-mentioned function 1. In addition, the lid 30 can be easily removed from the box body 10.

[0082] (1-6) The shim 20 has an outer peripheral inclined surface 25 . According to this configuration, the lid 30 having the rotation shaft 41 and the operating portion 42 can be realized with a simple configuration by achieving the above-mentioned function 3. In addition, the lid 30 can be easily assembled to the box body 10.

[0083] Second Embodiment The second embodiment will be described below with reference to FIGS. 11 to 20, focusing on the differences from the first embodiment.

[0084] This embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that the rotation shaft is configured as a separate body from the operation unit. In the following, for configurations of the second embodiment that are identical to or correspond to the configurations of the first embodiment, duplicate explanations may be omitted by adding the symbol "1**", which is the symbol "**" of the configurations of the first embodiment plus "100".

[0085] <Box body 110> As shown in FIGS. 16 and 19, the box body 110 includes a support frame portion 110A and a box portion 110B that is separate from the support frame portion 110A.

[0086] The support frame 110A has an upper opening 111 of the box body 110 and a pair of front and rear support portions 112, and constitutes the upper portion of the box body 110. The box section 110B constitutes the lower part of the box body 110.

[0087] The support frame portion 110A is attached to the upper portion of the box portion 110B by, for example, snap fitting. As shown in FIGS. 11 and 13, a total of four shim accommodating recesses 113 are provided on both sides in the vehicle width direction W of the pair of front and rear support portions 112.

[0088] As shown in FIG. 13, the shim-accommodating recess 113 is provided with a locking groove 113a, an insertion hole 113b, and a pair of locking holes 113c. The locking groove 113a is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the shim-accommodating recess 113 and extends in the front-rear direction L.

[0089] The insertion hole 113b passes through the center of the bottom of the shim-accommodating recess 113. The pair of locking holes 113c are formed from the bottom to the peripheral wall of the shim accommodating recess 113 so as to sandwich the insertion hole 113b between them. The pair of locking holes 113c sandwich the insertion hole 113b in the vehicle width direction W.

[0090] <Lid 130> As shown in FIG. 14, the lid 130 includes a lid body 131, a pair of rotation shafts 141, a pair of operation portions 142, a pair of first springs 149, and a pair of bases 160.

[0091] The lid body 131 includes a first half 132 having a first surface 132A, a second half 134 having a second surface 134A, and a pair of front and rear end plates 139 (see FIG. 16 for the second surface 134A).

[0092] A pair of side walls 133 extending in the front-rear direction L are provided on both sides of the first half body 132 in the vehicle width direction W. The side walls 133 are each provided at a front portion thereof with a notch 133b. A pair of side walls 135 extending in the front-rear direction L are provided on both sides of the second half body 134 in the vehicle width direction W. A notch 135a is provided in the front of the side wall 135. The notch 133b and the notch 135b form an operation hole 131b (see FIG. 17).

[0093] A pair of front wall portions 137a and rear wall portions 137b extending in the vehicle width direction W are provided at the front and rear ends of the second half body 134, respectively. The front end plate 139 is attached to the front wall 137a of the second half body 134. The rear end plate 139 is attached to the rear wall 137b of the second half body 134. The pair of front and rear end plates 139 form the front and rear surfaces of the lid 130, respectively.

[0094] A pair of recesses 139a are provided on the front surface of the front end plate 139. The pair of recesses 139a are provided on both sides of the end plate 139 in the vehicle width direction (see FIG. 17). A shaft hole 139c is provided at the bottom of the recess 139a, penetrating the end plate 139 in the front-rear direction L and extending in the vehicle width direction W. A pin portion 141b of a rotating shaft 141, which will be described later, is inserted into the shaft hole 139c.

[0095] A protrusion 139b is provided on the bottom surface of the recess 139a. The protrusion 139b is received in an allowable recess 126 of the shim 120, which will be described later (see FIG. 19). As shown in FIGS. 14 and 15, the rotary shaft 141 has a pair of pinion gears 141a and a pair of pin portions 141b.

[0096] The pair of pinion gears 141 a are provided at both ends of the rotary shaft 141 . The pin portion 141b constitutes an end of the rotary shaft 141. The pinion gear 141a is located inside the pin portion 141b in the axial direction of the rotary shaft 141.

[0097] A total of four rack gears 138 are provided on both sides in the vehicle width direction W of the front wall portion 137a and the rear wall portion 137b of the second half body 134. The rack gears 138 extend in the vehicle width direction W. The rack gears 138 mesh with the pinion gear 141a and support the pinion gear 141a rotatably and movably in the vehicle width direction W.

[0098] The pair of bases 160 are attached side by side in the vehicle width direction W on the second half body 134. 15 and 17, a gate portion 161 is provided on an outer portion of the base 160 in the vehicle width direction W. The gate portion 161 is exposed to the outside of the lid 130 through the operation hole 131b. A spring receiving portion 162 is provided on the upper surface of the base 160. The spring receiving portion 162 is provided on an inner portion of the gate portion 161 in the vehicle width direction W.

[0099] An operating unit 142 is provided on each base 160 so as to be movable in the vehicle width direction W through a gate unit 161. The pair of operating units 142 are independent of each other. The operating portion 142 is provided with a spring receiving portion 146. The spring receiving portion 146 is provided on the outer side of the spring receiving portion 162 in the vehicle width direction W.

[0100] A first spring 149 is provided between the spring receiving portions 162, 146 in a state compressed in the vehicle width direction W. The first spring 149 constantly biases the operating portion 142 outward in the vehicle width direction W (see FIG. 20).

[0101] A bearing portion 142a is provided on each end of the operating portion 142 in the front-rear direction L. The bearing portion 142a has an arc shape that opens upward. A rotation shaft 141 is rotatably supported by the bearing portion 142a.

[0102] <Sim 120> As shown in FIGS. 11 to 13, the shim 120 has a cylindrical shape with a bottom, and is housed in the shim-housing recess 113. As shown in FIGS.

[0103] As shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, the shim 120 has a shaft portion 120A, an accommodating recess 121, a locking protrusion 124, an outer peripheral inclined surface 125, an allowance recess 126, and a pair of locking claws 128.

[0104] The shaft portion 120A protrudes toward the bottom surface of the shim-accommodating recess 113 and extends in the front-rear direction L. The shaft portion 120A is inserted into the insertion hole 113b so as to be movable in the front-rear direction L.

[0105] A second spring 129 is provided in a compressed state between the bottom surface of the shim-accommodating recess 113 and the bottom of the shim 120. The second spring 129 corresponds to a second biasing member according to the present invention. The locking protrusion 124 protrudes from the outer peripheral surface of the shim 120 and extends in the front-to-rear direction L. The locking protrusion 124 is inserted into the locking groove 113a so as to be movable in the front-to-rear direction L, and is locked so as not to be rotatable in the circumferential direction around the axis of the shim accommodating recess 113.

[0106] The pair of locking claws 128 protrude from the peripheral wall of the shim 120 toward the bottom surface of the shim accommodating recess 113 and extend in the front-to-rear direction L. The pair of locking claws 128 are respectively inserted into the pair of locking holes 113c so as to be movable in the front-to-rear direction L.

[0107] The shim 120 is assembled in the shim receiving recess 113 so as to be non-rotatable and movable in the front-rear direction L. The shim 120 is configured to be movable in the front-rear direction L between a position where it contacts the bottom surface of the shim-accommodating recess 113 (see FIG. 17) and a position where it is spaced apart from the bottom surface (see FIG. 18).

[0108] The accommodating recess 121 opens to the surface of the shim 120 opposite to the surface on which the shaft portion 120A is provided. The bottom surface of the accommodating recess 121 is located at the center of the shim 120. An inner inclined surface 123 is provided on the inside of the bottom surface of the accommodating recess 121 in the vehicle width direction W. The allowing recess 126 extends in an arc shape centered on the axis of the shim 120.

[0109] Next, the effects of this embodiment will be described. (2-1) The rotating shaft 141 is configured as a separate body from the operating unit 142. A pair of pinion gears 141a is provided on both ends of the rotating shaft 141. The lid main body 131 has a pair of rack gears 138 that mesh with the pair of pinion gears 141a and support the pinion gears 141a rotatably and movably in the vehicle width direction W.

[0110] In this embodiment, the operating part 142 is provided at a position shifted toward one end of the rotating shaft 141 relative to the center position between the first and second ends of the rotating shaft 141 in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 141. In this case, when the operating part 142 is operated, the pressing force acting on the inner inclined surface 123 of the accommodating recess 121 of the shim 120 tends to differ between the first end side and the second end side. This may make it difficult for the rotating shaft 141 to come out of the accommodating recess 121 of the shim 120.

[0111] In this regard, according to the above configuration, a pair of pinion gears 141a provided at both ends of the rotating shaft 141 are respectively meshed with a pair of rack gears 138 provided on the lid main body 131, thereby supporting the rotating shaft 141 so as to be movable in the vehicle width direction W. Therefore, when the operating unit 142 is operated, the rotating shaft 141 moves toward the inside in the width direction while rotating about its own axis. This makes the pressing force acting on the inner inclined surface 123 of the accommodating recess 121 of the shim 120 uniform on the first end side and the second end side. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the rotating shaft 141 from being difficult to remove from the accommodating recess 121 of the shim 120.

[0112] <Third embodiment> The third embodiment will be described below, focusing on the differences from the second embodiment, with reference to FIGS.

[0113] This embodiment differs from the second embodiment in that the rotation shaft is divided into two in the axial direction and that no shim is provided. In the following, for configurations of the third embodiment that are identical to or correspond to the configurations of the second embodiment, duplicate explanations may be omitted by adding the symbol "2**", which is the symbol "**" of the configurations of the second embodiment plus "100".

[0114] <Box body 210> As shown in Figures 21 to 24, the box body 210 is provided with a total of four bearing portions 220 that accommodate the first end 272 and the second end 276 of the rotating shaft 241, respectively, and rotatably support the first end 272 and the second end 276, respectively.

[0115] The bearing portions 220 are provided on a pair of front and rear support portions 212 of the box body 210, and are cylindrical with a bottom. <Pivot shaft 241> 21 to 24, the rotating shaft 241 has a first shaft portion 271 having a first end 272 and a second shaft portion 275 having a second end 276. The first end 272 and the second end 276 are the front end and the rear end of the rotating shaft 241, respectively.

[0116] The first end 272 is cylindrical. The base end portion of the rotating shaft 241 excluding the first end 272 is flat and extends in the front-rear direction L and the vehicle width direction W (see FIG. 21). 21 and 23, a through-hole 273 is provided at the rear end of the base end portion, penetrating in the up-down direction Z. An inclined surface 274 is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the through-hole 273, which is inclined so as to be positioned more forward as it gets closer to the inside in the vehicle width direction W (see FIG. 23).

[0117] The second end 276 is cylindrical. The base end portion of the rotating shaft 241 excluding the second end 276 is flat and extends in the front-rear direction L and the vehicle width direction W (see FIG. 21). 21 and 23, a through-hole 277 is provided at the front end portion of the base end portion, penetrating in the up-down direction Z. An inclined surface 278 is provided on the inner circumferential surface of the through-hole 277, which is inclined so as to be positioned rearward as it gets closer to the inside in the vehicle width direction W (see FIG. 23).

[0118] A second spring 280 that urges the first shaft portion 271 and the second shaft portion 275 in directions away from each other is provided between the first shaft portion 271 and the second shaft portion 275. By being urged by the second spring 280, the first end 272 of the first shaft portion 271 and the second end 276 of the second shaft portion 275 are held in a state where they are housed in the front and rear bearing portions 220, respectively.

[0119] <Base 260> 21 to 24, a pair of bases 260 are provided on the second half body 234. The bases 260 are located between the first shaft portion 271 and the second shaft portion 275.

[0120] 23, a gate portion 261 is provided on the outer side of the base 260 in the vehicle width direction W. A spring receiving portion 262 is provided on the upper surface of the base 160. <Operation unit 242> As shown in FIGS. 21 to 24, a pair of operating parts 242 are provided on each base 260 so as to be movable in the vehicle width direction W through the gate part 261. The operating parts 242 are configured as separate bodies from the first shaft part 271 and the second shaft part 275. The operating parts 242 are located between the first shaft part 271 and the second shaft part 275 and are independent of each other. The operating parts 242 are configured to be operated by being pushed inward in the vehicle width direction W relative to the lid main body 231.

[0121] The lid 230 is provided with a first spring 249 that constantly biases the operating unit 242 outward in the vehicle width direction W. The first spring 249 is provided between the spring bearing portion 262 of the base 260 and the spring bearing portion 246 of the operating unit 242. The first spring 249 is provided in a compressed state in the vehicle width direction W. The first spring 249 constantly biases the operating unit 242 outward in the vehicle width direction W.

[0122] The upper surface of the operation portion 242 is provided with a pair of pin portions 247 that protrude upward. The pair of pin portions 247 are inserted through the through-hole 273 of the first shaft portion 271 and the through-hole 277 of the second shaft portion 275, respectively.

[0123] <Interlocking mechanism 290> As shown in Figure 23, a linkage mechanism 290 is provided between the operating unit 242 and the first and second shaft portions 271 and 275, which moves the first and second shaft portions 271 and 275 closer to each other in conjunction with the movement of the operating unit 242 toward the inside of the vehicle width direction W.

[0124] The interlocking mechanism 290 is made up of a pair of pins 247 of the operating part 242 , a through hole 273 of the first shaft part 271 , and a through hole 277 of the second shaft part 275 . 21 to 23, when the operating portion 242 is not being pushed in, the pair of pin portions 247 are positioned at the outermost positions in the vehicle width direction W within the through-holes 273, 277. In this state, the through-holes 273, 277, i.e., the first shaft portion 271 and the second shaft portion 275, are furthest apart in the front-rear direction L. Therefore, the first end 272 and the second end 276 are housed in the front and rear bearing portions 220, respectively. In other words, the rotating shaft 241 and the box body 210 are connected to each other.

[0125] 24 , when the operating portion 242 is pushed in against the biasing force of the first spring 249, the pair of pin portions 247 move inward in the vehicle width direction W while pressing the inclined surfaces 274, 278 of the through holes 273, 277 inward in the vehicle width direction W. At this time, the pair of pin portions 247 move relatively to the innermost positions in the vehicle width direction W within the through holes 273, 277. As a result, the first shaft portion 271 and the second shaft portion 275 come closest to each other in the front-rear direction L, and the first end 272 and the second end 276 come out of the front and rear bearing portions 220, respectively, thereby releasing the connection between the rotating shaft 241 and the box main body 210.

[0126] Next, the effects of this embodiment will be described. (3-1) Between the operating unit 242 and the first and second shaft portions 271 and 275, there is provided a linkage mechanism 290 that moves the first and second shaft portions 271 and 275 closer to each other in conjunction with the movement of the operating unit 242 toward the inside of the vehicle width direction W.

[0127] According to this configuration, when the operating portion 242 is pushed inward in the vehicle width direction W, the interlocking mechanism 290 moves the first shaft portion 271 and the second shaft portion 275 so that they approach each other. As a result, the first shaft portion 271 and the second shaft portion 275 each come out of the pair of bearing portions 220, thereby releasing the connection between the rotating shaft 241 and the box main body 210. Therefore, a console box can be easily realized.

[0128] <Modification> This embodiment can be modified as follows: This embodiment and the following modifications can be combined and implemented within the scope of technical compatibility.

[0129] A modified console box shown in FIG. 10 may also be used. 10(a), the lid main body 31 has a restricting protrusion 36 that protrudes toward the axis C of the rotation shaft 41. The restricting protrusion 36 is provided on the inner surface of the second half body 34.

[0130] An allowance recess 26 is provided on the end face of the shim 20 on the rotation shaft 41 side in the axial direction L, which allows the rotation of the restriction protrusion 36 in association with the rotation of the lid main body 31. The allowance recess 26 is provided below the axis C.

[0131] Here, the opening side of the lid main body 31 in the rotation direction R of the lid main body 31 about the axis C is referred to as the opening side. An opening-side inclined surface 27 is provided on the opening side of the allowing recess 26 in the rotation direction R. The opening-side inclined surface 27 is inclined so as to be positioned closer to the restricting protrusion 36 in the axial direction L (toward the viewer in FIG. 10(a)) as it approaches the opening side. The opening-side inclined surface 27 overlaps with the restricting protrusion 36 in the rotation direction R.

[0132] With this configuration, as shown in FIG. 10(b), when the lid 30 is opened beyond the first opening angle (90 degrees in this case), the restricting protrusion 36 on the lid main body 31 presses the opening-side inclined surface 27 on the end face of the shim 20. The opening-side inclined surface 27 is inclined so that it approaches the restricting protrusion 36 in the axial direction L as it approaches the opening side. Therefore, the shim 20 moves in the axial direction L away from the pivot shaft 41 (toward the back of the page in FIG. 10(b)) against the biasing force of the second spring 29. When the lid 30 reaches a second opening angle greater than the first opening angle, the pivot shaft 41 slips out of the accommodation recess 21 of the shim 20, thereby releasing the connection between the pivot shaft 41 and the box main body 10. This prevents the lid 30 from opening excessively.

[0133] The first embodiment is not limited to a configuration in which the lid 30 can be removed from the box body 10 by simultaneously operating both of the pair of operating units 42. For example, one operating unit 42 can be operated to release the connection between the rotating shaft 41 corresponding to that operating unit 42 and the box body 10, and then the rotating shaft 41 corresponding to the other operating unit 42 can be operated to release the connection between the other rotating shaft 41 and the box body 10. In this way, the lid 30 may be configured to be removable.

[0134] In the first embodiment, the lifting mechanism 19 may be omitted. In each embodiment, the second surface 34A, 134A, 234A of the lid main body 31, 131, 231 may be provided with a plurality of recesses 34a.

[0135] In each embodiment, the recess 34a on the second surface 34A, 134A, 234A of the lid body 31, 131, 231 may be omitted. That is, neither the first surface 32A, 132A, 232A nor the second surface 34A, 134A, 234A may have a recess. In this case, for example, the first surface 32A, 132A, 232A and the second surface 34A, 134A, 234A may have different design concepts.

[0136] In the above-described embodiments, the lid body 31, 131, 231 may have a shape that makes it impossible to attach it to the box body 10, 110, 210 in a position where the second surface 34A, 134A, 234A faces upward.

[0137] In the above embodiments, a configuration has been described in which a pair of pivot shafts 41, 141, 241 are provided parallel to each other on both sides of the vehicle width direction W. Alternatively, a pair of pivot shafts may be provided parallel to each other on both sides of the front-rear direction L. In this case, the width direction of the lid body coincides with the front-rear direction L, and the axial direction of the pivot shaft coincides with the vehicle width direction W.

[0138] In the first or second embodiment, the operating unit 42, 142 is not limited to being operated by pushing it inward in the vehicle width direction W, but may be a lever-type unit that is tiltable. Furthermore, the operating unit is not limited to being provided on the lid body, but may be provided on the box body. In these cases, a conversion mechanism may be provided that converts the operating force applied when tilting the operating unit into a force that moves the pivot shaft inward in the vehicle width direction W.

[0139] In each of the above embodiments, one of the pair of pivot shafts may be omitted. That is, the pivot shaft may be provided on only one side of the lid body in the width direction. [Explanation of symbols]
