Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention

[0015] Hereinafter, a form example of a granule spraying device according to the present invention will be described in detail based on the accompanying drawings (Figs. 1 to 8). This granule spraying device can be used by being mounted on a moving device such as a drone (unmanned aerial vehicle) that can fly by wireless control or automatic control using GPS (Global Positioning System) or a wireless communication network. Note that the moving device according to the present invention includes vehicles that travel on the ground, including agricultural machines such as tractors. In addition, examples of the granule spraying material targeted in the present invention include paddy rice seeds for direct seeding, granular fertilizers, and chemicals.

[0016] As shown in Figs. 1 and 2 as a basic configuration, the granule spraying device according to the present invention includes a hopper tank (storage container) 14 provided so as to store granule spraying materials and mounted on a moving device (in this form example, drone 10), a discharge device 16 connected to the hopper tank 14 to sequentially drop and discharge granule spraying materials, an impeller 20 (see Fig. 2, etc.) that is rotationally driven to receive and spray the granule spraying materials discharged from the discharge device 16, and a spraying guide cover 30 provided so as to cover the impeller 20 from above to guide the spraying direction of the granule spraying materials.

[0017] Note that the drone 10 of this form example has a general configuration such as a main body 11, propellers 12, and legs 13 as shown in Fig. 1. In addition, an existing discharge device 16 including a mechanism and driving means for sequentially discharging granule spraying materials, and a driving device including a driving motor for the impeller 20 that diffuses granule spraying materials can be used. In this form example, the driving devices for the discharge device 16 and the impeller 20 are integrally unitized into a discharge and spraying drive unit 15. Further, at the connection port of the discharge device 16 to the hopper tank 14, as shown in Fig. 2, etc., a stirring coil 16b that is rotated by a stirring motor 16a and operates in the hopper tank 14 to prevent the granule spraying materials from clogging is arranged.

[0018] In the granule spraying device according to the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 7, the spraying guide cover 30 is located on the front side or the rear side in the moving direction (flying direction) of the moving device (in this exemplary embodiment, the drone 10), and is provided along the outer peripheral edge of the impeller 20 (in this exemplary embodiment, the peripheral edge 23 of the disk portion 21) so as to extend left and right, and includes one side wall guiding portion 32a and the other side wall guiding portion 32b that guide the spraying direction of the granule spraying material in the left and right directions. Close proximity In the spraying guide cover 30 of this exemplary embodiment, in addition to the configuration of the top surface cover portion 31, one side wall guiding portion 32a, and the other side wall guiding portion 32b, it is formed by plate-shaped components including a flap plate 41 described later, and is formed into a rectangular box shape that is longer in the left and right directions than in the front and rear directions (flying direction) of the drone 10, and is provided so as to be used in a form where the box body is laid down. Further, the top surface cover portion 31 of the spraying guide cover 30 is formed in a form in which the left and right end portions are gently inclined downward with respect to the central portion in the left and right directions, and is provided in a form that guides the spraying direction of the granule spraying material obliquely downward at a shallow angle.

[0019] In the spraying guide cover 30 of this exemplary embodiment, in addition to the configuration of the top surface cover portion 31, one side wall guiding portion 32a, and the other side wall guiding portion 32b, it is formed by plate-shaped components including a flap plate 41 described later, and is formed into a rectangular box shape that is longer in the left and right directions than in the front and rear directions (flying direction) of the drone 10, and is provided so as to be used in a form where the box body is laid down.

[0020] Note that in this exemplary embodiment, the spraying guide cover 30 is in a form in which a rectangular box body with a U-shaped cross section is laid down by the top surface cover portion 31, one side wall guiding portion 32a, and the other side wall guiding portion 32b, but it is not limited to this. That is, the lengths of the guiding surfaces (inner surfaces) respectively constituted by the top surface cover portion 31, one side wall guiding portion 32a, and the other side wall guiding portion 32b are extended along the tangential direction of the disk portion 21 of the impeller 20, and may be formed only in the direction in which the granule spraying material is sprayed along with the rotation direction of the impeller 20 at least. The lengths of the one side wall guiding portion 32a and the other side wall guiding portion 32b may be provided, for example, substantially about half the length compared with this exemplary embodiment.

[0021] Furthermore, in the granular material spreading device according to the present invention, the impeller 20 comprises a disc portion 21 that rotates to receive the supply of granular material, and a plurality of fin portions 25 that extend from the side of the rotation axis 22 of the disc portion 21 to the periphery 23, and the shape of the fin portions 25 is such that it receives air pressure in a concave shape in the direction of rotation (see the direction of the arrows in Figures 3, 4, and 5). In other words, the fin portions 25 are formed in a concave shape that scoops in air and are arranged to rotate in a direction that is more susceptible to air resistance.

[0022] In this embodiment of the impeller 20, the disc portion 21 has a flat bottom plate and is equipped with a plate-shaped inner bottom surface that instantaneously receives the granular material supplied from the discharge device 16. In addition, as shown in Figure 4, the impeller 20 in this embodiment is provided with three fin portions 25, which are positioned at three equal divisions of the circumference on the upper side of the disc portion 21. Each fin portion 25 in this embodiment is made by bending a strip-shaped plate material into a hook shape near the peripheral edge 23 of the disc portion 21, so that it is provided in a concave shape to receive air pressure in the direction of rotation. However, the fin portions 25 are not limited to this, and as long as they are in a shape that receives air pressure in a substantially concave shape, it is sufficient for the centrifugal force to be sufficiently transmitted to the granular material, for example, they may be formed in a smooth arc shape.

[0023] In this embodiment, the impeller 20 has a gap 24 between each fin section 25 and the rotating shaft 22. This gap 24 prevents granular materials such as rice seeds that have fallen from the hopper tank 24 through the discharge port 17 from becoming unevenly distributed on the disc section 21 (inner bottom surface). In other words, the gap 24 allows the granular materials to move somewhat freely, distributing evenly on the disc section 21 and further suppressing variations in lateral dispersal.

[0024] Furthermore, in the granular material dispensing device according to the present invention, the impeller 20 may be configured to include an auxiliary fin portion 26 in addition to the fin portion 25 on the disc portion 21, and / or a drop hole 27 from which the granular material can be dropped. This allows for more uniform dispensing of the granular material.

[0025] In this embodiment, as shown in Figure 4 and other figures, the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20 is provided with multiple fin portions 25, as well as auxiliary fin portions 26 located at intermediate points (equally divided circumferential angles) between the fin portions 25. The auxiliary fin portions 26 in this embodiment are shorter than the fin portions 25 and are positioned closer to the periphery 23 of the impeller 20. These auxiliary fin portions 26 have the effect of further suppressing variations in the lateral dispersion of granular material.

[0026] Furthermore, in this embodiment, as shown in Figure 4, the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20 is provided with a drop hole 27 that allows granular material such as rice seeds to pass through appropriately, so that the granular material can fall in a balanced manner directly below the drone. The drop hole 27 in this embodiment is located slightly closer to the rotation axis 22 in the middle of the impeller 20 between the rotation axis 22 and the periphery 23, and is positioned close to the concave surface of each fin portion 15 between adjacent fin portions 25. By arranging the drop hole 27 in this way, it is possible to drop a more appropriate amount of granular material directly below the drone, taking into account the relationship (balance) with the effects of centrifugal force on the granular material and its tendency to accumulate.

[0027] The granular material dispersing device according to the present invention offers a particularly advantageous effect compared to conventional devices: by dispersing the granular material more linearly in the left-right direction, it can be distributed more efficiently and uniformly over a wider area. In other words, according to the granular material dispersing device of the present invention, when mounted on a drone, for example, as shown in Figure 8(a), the granular material (seed rice) can be dispersed in a more linear, band-like (or rectangular) shape, spreading more linearly to the left and right, with a more uniform concentration. Compared to the conventional fan-shaped dispersal (Figure 8(b)), it can be dispersed more effectively to the corners of the paddy field and maintain uniformity over longer distances in the left and right directions, thereby increasing the efficiency of the dispersal work. (Note that the dotted arrows in Figure 8 indicate the flight path.) Furthermore, because the granular material can be dispersed more uniformly, it can be dispersed efficiently, eliminating waste of the granular material. Therefore, for example, as shown in Figure 8(a), when the present invention is used for direct seeding of rice seeds, the work efficiency is increased, production efficiency is improved, and the cost of rice production can be reduced.

[0028] Furthermore, in this embodiment, as shown in Figure 6, the discharge port 17 from which the granular material of the discharge device 16 is dropped and discharged is the top cover portion 31 of the spray guide cover 30, and is open so that the granular material is dropped and supplied between the periphery 23 of the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20, which is close to one of the pair of side wall guide portions (in this embodiment, one of the side wall guide portions 32a), and the rotation axis 22 of the disc portion 21.

[0029] In the granular material spreading apparatus using the discharge device 16 of this embodiment, the discharge device 16, which has an outlet 17, does not have a shape that is perfectly symmetrical with respect to the spreading guide cover 30, but it is possible to spread the granular material linearly in both left and right directions while maintaining uniformity of concentration. In other words, the granular material spreading apparatus equipped with this discharge device 16 can spread the granular material evenly over a wider area, thereby improving its spreading efficiency, and its shape is designed to be easy to manufacture.

[0030] Thus, even if the discharge device 16 has an outlet 17 positioned in a location that does not have perfect symmetry, the reason why it can be dispersed evenly in both left and right directions is thought to be that the rotational movement of the impeller 20 creates negative pressure in the center of the impeller 20 according to the principle of a centrifugal blower (such as a sirocco fan), and the granular material immediately after being discharged from the outlet 17 of the discharge device 16 instantaneously behaves as if being sucked, at least partially, towards the center of the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20, and then dispersed as if being thrown outward by centrifugal force, and also because the shape of the fin portion 25 in this embodiment allows the granular material to be retained on the disc portion 21 more appropriately and a stronger centrifugal force to be applied compared to radially arranged and linearly formed fins.

[0031] It is possible to improve symmetry by dividing the discharge port 17 into two or more sections at point-symmetrical positions, but this would complicate the shape and increase manufacturing costs. Furthermore, if multiple discharge ports 17 are provided at symmetrical positions, a problem arises where the granular material will not be evenly distributed on the left and right sides unless it is discharged evenly from each of the multiple discharge ports, meaning that the granular material cannot always be distributed uniformly.

[0032] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the impeller is suspended from a portion of the top cover portion 31 located on the side of the side wall guide portion (in this embodiment, the other side wall guide portion 32b) that is not close to the position of the discharge port 17, and a scattering suppression wall (one scattering suppression wall 33a) is provided to suppress the scattering of granular material in a manner corresponding to the upstream portion of the airflow generated by the rotation of the impeller 20, from the portion of the impeller 20's periphery 23 that is close to the other side wall guide portion 32b.

[0033] Furthermore, in this embodiment, the impeller 20 has a configuration in which a scattering suppression wall (the other scattering suppression wall 33b) is provided that suppresses the scattering of granular material, corresponding to the upstream portion of the airflow generated by the rotation of the impeller 20, from the portion of the impeller 20's periphery 23 that is close to the one side wall guide 32. In other words, the one scattering suppression wall 33a and the other scattering suppression wall 33b are arranged at diagonal positions with respect to the rotation axis 22 of the impeller 20.

[0034] As shown in Figure 5, one scattering suppression wall 33a and the other scattering suppression wall 33b in this embodiment have an arc-shaped wall form and are arranged concentrically with the rotation axis 22 of the impeller 20, with a required gap between them and the periphery 23 of the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20. By adjusting this gap, the amount of granular material dispersed directly below and around the discharge device 16 can be adjusted so that some of the material leaks out. Furthermore, the shapes of the one scattering suppression wall 33a and the other scattering suppression wall 33b are not limited to this; for example, as long as the inner surface of the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20 relative to the periphery 23 has a curved, arc-shaped cross-section, the shape of the outer surface is not particularly limited. Also, the shapes and arrangement of the one scattering suppression wall 33a and the other scattering suppression wall 33b can be selectively adjusted as appropriate, and are not limited to being arranged in point-symmetrical positions and of the same size as in this embodiment. For example, depending on the differences in various conditions, the scattering suppression effect of one scattering suppression wall 33a may be increased to enhance the scattering suppression effect compared to the other scattering suppression wall 33b, thereby adjusting the balance of scattering of granular material in both left-right directions.

[0035] According to this, it is possible to moderately prevent the granular material from being scattered (falling) in excessive amounts in a highly concentrated state in the area closer to the area directly below where the drone 10 is flying (directly below the central part in the left-right direction of the spraying guide cover 30), and to distribute the granular material more uniformly. Although this effect is thought to vary depending on various conditions, in this embodiment, the effect is more pronounced with one of the scattering suppression walls 33a. This is because the scattering suppression wall 33a corresponds to the area on the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20 where the granular material discharged from the discharge port 17 of the discharge device 16 is in a more concentrated state.

[0036] In this embodiment, one fixed guide vane (in this embodiment, one half-position fixed guide vane 35a and one quarter-position fixed guide vane 35b) is provided, suspended from the top cover portion 31 at a position immediately downstream of the position of the discharge port 17 in the airflow generated by the rotation of the impeller 20, and extends to the left and right with respect to the direction of movement of the mobile device (in this embodiment, the drone 10) to guide the granular material to be scattered in one direction to the left or right. In addition, the other fixed guide vane (in this embodiment, the other half-position fixed guide vane 37a and the other quarter-position fixed guide vane 37b) is provided, suspended from the top cover portion 31 at a position diagonally opposite to the one fixed guide vane with respect to the rotation axis 22, and extends to the left and right with respect to the direction of movement of the mobile device (in this embodiment, the drone 10) to guide the granular material to be scattered in the other direction to the left or right.

[0037] With one fixed guide vane and the other fixed guide vane, the side wall guide section 32a and the other side wall guide section 32b and the top cover section 31 can appropriately configure a left-right passage through which the granular material can be guided and dispersed so that it is more appropriately restricted (controlled) in the left-right direction. As a result, the granular material is dispersed more restricted in both left and right directions in the tangential direction of the disc section 21 of the impeller 20, allowing it to be dispersed in a more linear band shape and more uniformly over longer distances on both sides, thereby increasing dispersal efficiency and improving productivity.

[0038] In this embodiment, the fixed guide vanes are configured with two vanes each positioned symmetrically. However, the present invention is not limited to this configuration. For example, instead of symmetrically arranging them, the positional relationship between the fixed guide vanes may be adjusted to be different on the left and right sides. Alternatively, there may be only one vane each, or three or more vanes. Furthermore, the positional relationship between the fixed guide vanes can be adjusted according to various spraying conditions. For example, by bringing the position of one quarter-position fixed guide vane 35b of the fixed guide vane closer to the side wall guide (one side wall guide 32a in this embodiment), it is possible to suppress the scattering of granular material immediately after it is discharged from the discharge port 17 of the discharge device 16 and supplied onto the disc portion 21 of the impeller 20 in one direction (left to right), thereby adjusting the balance of scattering in both directions (left and right).

[0039] Furthermore, the shape and arrangement of the half-position fixed guide vane and quarter-position fixed guide vane, which are components of one fixed guide vane and the other fixed guide vane in this embodiment, can be selectively set as appropriate to adjust the balance of granular dispersion in both directions to the right. In this embodiment, the quarter-position fixed guide vane is arranged in a shape that tapers in a direction that expands its passage toward the dispersion direction (outward) in relation to the side wall guide section, while the half-position fixed guide vane is arranged parallel to the side wall guide section, so that in relation to the quarter-position fixed guide vane, its passage narrows toward the dispersion direction (outward). Therefore, although the air-blowing effect of the fin portion 25 of the impeller 20 is considered to be smaller than the effect of the centrifugal force of the impeller 20, the passage between the quarter-position fixed guide vane and the side wall guide becomes negative pressure, drawing in granular material and making it easier to spray more linearly in the left-right direction along the side wall guide. The passage between the quarter-position fixed guide vane and the half-position fixed guide vane becomes positive pressure, generating a high-velocity airflow in the left-right direction. This airflow acts as a wall, guiding the granular material to spray more linearly, thus contributing to the improvement of spraying efficiency as described above.

[0040] Furthermore, in this embodiment, flap devices 40 are provided at each of the left and right ends of the spray guide cover 30 to adjust the spray angle in the vertical direction. That is, in this embodiment, the flap plate 41 is configured to be rotatable by the flap plate drive device 42 so as to be adjustable to a desired angular position in the vertical direction.

[0041] According to this, for example, the size of the lateral spraying range and the spraying concentration can be controlled and adjusted according to various spraying conditions, such as the type of granular material to be sprayed, the flight conditions of the drone including its flight performance and flight path (flight altitude, etc.), and the natural environment including weather conditions. This makes it possible to perform optimal spraying according to the spraying conditions, improving work efficiency and increasing productivity.

[0042] Although various preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments, and many modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention. [Explanation of Symbols]
