Abstract
To provide an electric brake device which enables reduction of an entire length of a friction pad along an axial direction without deteriorating detection accuracy of a thrust detection sensor.SOLUTION: A disc brake 1A serving as an electric brake device includes: an electric motor 50; a caliper body 30 provided with the electric motor 50; a nut member 135 which is linearly moved in an axial direction of a disc rotor D by driving of the electric motor 50 and moves an inner brake pad 2; a center bolt 95 which threadedly engages with the nut member 135, is restricted from rotating relative to the caliper body 30, and extends along an axial direction of the disc rotor D; and a thrust detection sensor 215 which is provided at an axial end, which is opposite to the inner brake pad 2 side, of the center bolt 95 and detects a reaction force from the disc rotor D. The structure enables reduction of an entire length of an inner brake pad 2 along the axial direction without deteriorating detection accuracy of the thrust detection sensor 215.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
