Abstract
A method and apparatus for monitoring the condition of a power electronic device are described, in which an acoustic signal generated by the device is detected and digitized, the digitized signal is fed to a neural network as input data, output data generated by the neural network in relation to the input data is received, and the condition of the device is inferred from the received output data.
