Integrated payment kiosk with user authentication and transaction management for educational institutions

Abstract

A self-service payment kiosk system for managing financial transactions of student organizations in educational institutions is disclosed. The system solves the problem of inaccurate, non-transparent, and manually intensive organizational financial management by integrating an RFID reader for user authentication via an institutional identification card, a cash handling assembly for currency validation and change dispensing, a thermal printer for receipt generation, a processing unit, and a communication interface connected to a remote cloud-based database. The processing unit authenticates users, processes cash inputs, computes change, generates structured transaction data, and synchronizes locally stored data with the cloud-based database upon network restoration. A balance top-up mechanism enables stored value payment for organization event fees. A role-based web administrative interface provides differentiated access to a super administrator, an institutional administrator, and student organization officers for centralized financial oversight and auditing of registered student organization transactions.
