Abstract

The present utility model presents a process of producing cashew nut oil through supercritical fluid carbon dioxide, comprising: grinding the cashew nuts using a grinder; placing the ground cashew nuts in a vessel; subjecting the ground cashew nuts to a supercritical fluid using a supercritical fluid extractor for a predetermined soaking time; extracting cashew nut oil from the ground cashew nuts after the predetermined soaking time; and collecting the extracted cashew nut oil using one or more collectors. Preferably, the step of subjecting the ground cashew nuts to a supercritical fluid using a supercritical fluid extractor is performed in static mode with the soaking and extraction times cycled at 10 and 30 minutes, respectively.
