Abstract
A process of producing polylactic acid filament comprising polylactic acid reinforced with silica as a functional additive for 3D printing is described exhibiting improved mechanical and thermal properties. The filament possesses a high tensile strength and a stiffed property, providing enhanced durability and structural integrity. Additionally, the filament demonstrates a high degradation temperature, ensuring stability during high-temperature processing. These combined features render the PLA filament particularly advantageous for applications requiring robust mechanical performance and reliable thermal resistance in 3D printing and related manufacturing processes.
