Abstract

The subject of the application is a flow reactor for in situ study of chemical reactions involving chiral reagents, enabling integration with a Raman optical activity (ROA) spectrometer and an electron circular dichroism (ECD) spectrometer. The reactor comprises a body (1) and two pressure elements (2 and 3) located on both sides of the body (1). The body has two through holes, preferably cylindrical A and B, wherein the first hole A is an hole with a diameter of at least 2 mm and the tested medium of chiral reagents flows through this hole, and the second hole B with a diameter of at least 4 mm is an hole guiding the laser beam and is situated at an angle of ë=85-9° in relation to the first hole A and also passes through the pressing elements 2 and 3. Furthermore, in hole B, on both sides of the space marked by hole A, there are sockets in which quartz plates are mounted, the distance between the plates being 5 - 10 mm.
