BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONField of the Invention

[0001] The present invention relates to a golf club head and, more particularly, to a composite (or combined) golf club head.Description of the Related Art

[0002] In general, golf clubs are mainly divided into wood, hybrid, iron, wedge, putter and chipper according to different uses and characteristics. A golf club is made of material, such as wood, titanium alloy and carbon fiber. The golf club includes a head and a shaft connected with the head. The head has a connection for mounting the shaft. The golf club head is the main structure that is used to hit a golf ball. Thus, various precise calculations and designs are needed according to the weight, shape, material, and impact of the golf club head. More specifically, a variety of material are mixed to meet diverse requirements of the golf club head.

[0003] In fabrication, the connection of the golf club head needs to have a strong structure, to effectively transmit a force, and to withstand an impact. In addition, the front end of the golf club head is used to hit the golf ball so that the front end usually has a flat or cup shape. Further, the rear end (or tail portion) of the golf club head needs to consider problems of aerodynamics and counterweight. Thus, the whole structure, stress, and counterweight of the golf club head have to be designed precisely. However, different users will have different usage habits so that the golf club head of the same type is not suitable for all users. Thus, the manufacturer has to make golf club heads of different types to satisfy the requirements of different users, thereby greatly increasing the cost of fabrication, production, and inventory. In addition, the consumers' choices are also limited.

[0004] A conventional golf club head includes a tail portion that is made of carbon fiber so that the golf club head has a lighter weight. The tail portion includes an inner skeleton made of titanium alloy or aluminum alloy. The inner skeleton includes multiple curved sheet plates which are bonded together. Each of the curved sheet plates is made of hot-pressed carbon fiber. Thus, the weight of the tail portion is limited. In addition, the upper part and the lower part of the tail portion of the golf club head have to be separated and then adhered to construct hot-pressed carbon fiber curved sheet plates, thereby decreasing the structural strength and increasing the cost of fabrication.BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a composite golf club head comprising a head body, a batting member, and a tail member. The head body includes a hollow frame and a shaft connecting portion extending from an upper end of the hollow frame. The hollow frame has a front provided with a first positioning portion. The hollow frame has a back provided with a second positioning portion. The batting member has a front provided with a batting face. [0014] Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-5, a composite golf club head 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a head body 10, a batting (or hitting) member 20, and a tail member 30. The batting member 20 is located at the front end of the head body 10, and the tail member 30 is located at the rear end of the head body 10.

9. The composite golf club head as claimed in claim 8, wherein the recessed portion is located at an exterior of a lower end of the head body.
