Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

[0001] The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63 / 653,461, which was filed on May 30, 2024, and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0002] The present invention relates generally to the field of hair styling devices. More specifically, the present invention relates to a hair-curling device that curls a user's hair in a passive and damage-free manner. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.BACKGROUND

[0003] Existing hair curling devices often damage a user's hair due to the design and construction of said devices. More specifically, said devices can lead to significant hair breakage as a result of the devices being overly tight or their tendency to snag and pull on the hair strands during use. Furthermore, these conventional curling devices are commonly criticized for their bulkiness, which not only makes them difficult to handle but also contributes to a general lack of comfort for the user. This combination of tightness, tendency to snag, and cumbersome size renders these traditional hair curling devices less ideal for regular use, particularly for those concerned with maintaining hair health and comfort.

[0004] Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for an improved hair-curling device. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a hair-curling device that does not lead to hair breakage as a result of use. Further, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a hair-curling device that is not bulky and that can be comfortably worn.

[0005] The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a hair-curling device. The device is designed to curl a user's hair in a manner that is not damaging to a user's hair. The device is comprised of a body with a first and a second end, made preferably from a moisture-resistant satin or other fabric material. The first end of the body includes a fastener, such as a hair clip, allowing attachment to a user's hair. The second end includes an elastic band or similar fastener. During use, a user wraps hair strands around the body in a spiral fashion. Then, the user folds the second end upwards over the body towards the first end, covering the hair wrapped around the body to prevent damage. The body can then be secured in this position with the elastic band. After a period of time, the now-curled hair strands can be removed from around the body and the device can be removed from a user's hair.

[0006] In this manner, the hair-curling device of the present invention accomplishes all the forgoing objectives and provides an improved hair-curling device. More specifically, the device does not lead to hair breakage as a result of use. Further, the device is not bulky and can be comfortably worn.SUMMARY
