Description

[0001] ELECTRIC INSTANTANEOUS WATER HEATER

[0002] Technical Field

[0003] The invention relates to an electric instantaneous water heater in which the heating device does not come into contact with the water.

[0004] Background art

[0005] According to the current state of the art, the electric heating of water is generally done with a heating element. The essence of it is that a properly insulated heating element is immersed in the water to be heated, or placed in it. A common feature of the solutions used during water heating with a heating element, and a general expectation for them, is that the electrical voltage connected to the heating element cannot get into the water to be heated. In order to avoid this, various insulations are used. The water is then heated specifically only with the help of the heat generated in the heating element.

[0006] When developing the solution according to the invention, our goal was to use the efficiency of a constant operation high efficiency heating module based on thin film technology having no direct contact with water which can be operated from both direct and alternating current. It has been realized that producing hot water in a unique way, regardless of the known technologies, has outstanding efficiency according to the solution proposed in the present invention.

[0007] Disclosure of invention

[0008] The feature of the water heater according to the invention is that its main component is red copper with good thermal conductivity. The longitudinal through boring of an angular red copper block of a few centimetres is suitable for the passage of the water to be heated. Heating plates are attached to the block from the outside, which can heat up extremely quickly under the influence of electricity. The heating plates can typically heat up from 0 to 240 °C in 3-5 seconds. In order for them to function properly, as a result of their attachment to the copper block, the copper block and the water passing through it continuously cool the heating plates, which in the meantime mutually heat the copper block, the surface of which is treated with heat-conducting paste for efficiency. A silicone sheet is attached to the heating plates, then the whole is attached to the copper block with a fixing plate. This ensures that there is no air gap between the copper block and the heating plate.

[0009] Another feature of the water heater according to the invention is that the heated water can be transferred to a heating system or tank as required, or can be used directly as domestic hot water.

[0010] Another feature of the water heater according to the invention is that the heated water can be transported in any direction with a vent valve, even by turning back inside the casing, so its usage properties correspond to those of electric boilers operating on the average principle.

[0011] Still another feature of the water heater according to the invention is that its performance can be adjusted depending on the number of small sized heating plates. Due to their favourable size, for example, a water heater with a power of 24 kW will not be bigger than a shoe box.

[0012] A further feature of the water heating device according to the invention is that the device can be protected from overheating with a thermal fuse in the event of a possible malfunction. The thermal fuse disconnects the water heater from the mains via a magnetic switch.

[0013] Another feature of the water heater according to the invention is that due to its very small size, no thermal inertia occurs, and therefore there is no heat loss. Another advantage of its size is that it is space-saving and can be used in small, narrow spaces.

[0014] Best mode of carrying out the invention

[0015] Hereinafter, an advantageous embodiment of the invention will be described on the basis of Figure 1, where a possible preferred embodiment of the water heater according to the invention is shown. The water heater is arranged in a housing 11, where the lower stubs 10 protruding from the housing 11 are the water inlet and outlet connection points. In the housing 11, a heating plate 5 with an associated fixing plate 6 fixed to a copper block 7 forms the central unit of the water heater. Possibly, the water can be further guided on by means of a branching T-profile fitting 3, and for complete safety, an automatic venting valve 1 can be built into the system. As a further option, additional fittings can be installed to control the outflowing water, such as an elbow fitting 4, a narrowing fitting 2 or an intermediate piece 9. The water heater also has 8 connectors, through which the power supply of the water heater can be ensured.
