Description

Dyeing composition comprising a metal-phenol complex and melanin or a precursor thereof

[0001] It relates to a dyeing composition.

[0002] As living standards rise, interest in not only health but also the beauty of one's appearance is steadily increasing. Among these, the desire for beautiful, healthy hair is shared by people of all ages and genders. Hair is no longer simply hair; it's becoming a symbol of health and youth. Amidst this growing interest, hair dye is one of the most convenient and versatile products used to maintain beautiful hair.

[0003] Meanwhile, since the eyebrows, which form the roof of the face, and the hair color match are crucial, dyeing the eyebrows the same color when dyeing hair can enhance the perfection of the dye. However, facial skin is much more delicate than the scalp, so eyebrow dyeing requires a process that avoids irritation, such as allergic reactions to hair dye.

[0004] Therefore, there is a need to develop a hair dye that causes less skin irritation and has excellent dyeing effects.

[0005] One aspect is to provide a dyeing composition comprising a metal-phenolic complex (MPC); melanin or a precursor thereof; and a solvent.

[0006] One aspect provides a dyeing composition comprising a metal-phenolic complex (MPC); melanin or a precursor thereof.

[0007] In one embodiment, the metal-phenol complex, melanin, or its precursor was confirmed to be non-toxic, exhibit an immediate hair dyeing effect, and have excellent color retention after dyeing. Therefore, the composition can exhibit a natural dyeing effect on skin and hair without causing skin irritation, and can be used as a dye for dyeing hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, skin, nails, and other colors.

[0008] As used herein, the term "metal-phenolic complex (MPC)" is formed by the interaction of a metal ion and a phenolic compound under specific conditions, and is stabilized by electronic interactions between the positive charge of the metal ion and the negative charge of the phenol. The metal-phenolic complex exhibits a dyeing effect by charge transfer (complex formation) between the metal ion and the phenolic compound, or by structural interactions formed between the metal ion and the phenolic compound. Therefore, since a specific color is exhibited depending on the types and bonding structures of the metal and phenolic compound constituting the metal-phenolic complex, the characteristics of the hair dye may vary depending on the composition and ratio of the metal and phenolic compound.

[0009] The metal may include a transition metal or an alkali metal. The transition metal may be, for example, iron (Fe), copper (Cu), silver (Ag), zinc (Zn), platinum (Pt), gold (Au), etc., and the alkali metal may be, for example, one or more selected from the group consisting of lithium (Li), sodium (Na), potassium (K), rubidium (Rb), cesium (Cs), barium (Ba), calcium (Ca), nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), manganese (Mn), and magnesium (Mg). In addition, the phenol compound may be at least one selected from the group consisting of tannic acid, gallic acid, flavones, anthocyanins, polyphenols, isoflavones, catechins, methyl gallate, ethyl gallate, propyl gallate, octyl gallate, lauryl gallate, epicatechin gallate, epigallocatechin gallate, gallocatechin gallate, and theaflavin-3-gallate, or a derivative thereof.

[0010] In one specific example, the metal-phenol complex may be a mixture of iron(II) D-gluconate hydrate and tannic acid and gallic acid.

[0011] In another specific example, the metal-phenol complex may be formed by mixing iron(II) D-gluconate hydrate with gallic acid and tannic acid in a weight ratio of 1:0.01 to 10:0.01 to 5. The iron(II) D-gluconate hydrate with gallic acid and tannic acid may be mixed in a concentration ratio of, for example, 1:0.01 to 10:0.01 to 5, 1:0.01 to 10:0.01 to 3, 1:0.01 to 5:0.01 to 0.5, 1:0.1 to 5:0.05 to 3, or 1:0.1 to 2.5:0.05 to 1.5. At this time, if the mixing ratio of the above D-gluconate iron (II) hydrate and gallic acid and tannic acid is below the above range, there is a problem that the dyeing effect cannot be sufficiently exhibited, and if it exceeds the above range, there is a problem that the dyeing efficiency per weight is lowered.

[0012] In another specific example, the metal-phenol complex may be included in an amount of 0.01 to 10.0 wt% based on the total weight of the composition. The metal-phenol complex may be included in an amount of, for example, 0.01 to 10.0 wt%, 0.01 to 8.0 wt%, 0.05 to 7.5 wt%, 0.1 to 6.5 wt%, 1.0 to 10.0 wt%, 1.5 to 7.0 wt%, or 2.0 to 5.0 wt%. At this time, when the content of the metal-phenol complex is less than the above range, there is a problem that the dyeing effect cannot be sufficiently exhibited, and when it exceeds the above range, there is a problem that the unit price increases and productivity decreases.

[0013] As used herein, the term "melanin" refers to a general term for black to brown pigments present in tissues such as skin, hair, and eyes, and "melanin precursor" plays a role in the biosynthesis of melanin, and its amount determines skin color, body hair color including hair, eye color, etc. Accordingly, the composition can be used not only to prevent or improve graying by promoting the production of melanin, but also to color hair, eyelashes, fingernails, toenails, or skin.

[0014] The above melanin precursors may be, for example, poly-dihydroxylindole, L-dopaquinone, tyrosine, 5,6-dihydroxyindole, indole-5,6-quinone, 5,6-dihydroxyindole-2-carboxylic acid, dopachrome, etc.

[0015] In one specific example, the melanin precursor may be poly-dihydroxyindole. Poly-dihydroxyindole is an indole-based compound found in plant and animal tissues, and primarily plays a role in the biosynthesis of melanin, a skin pigment. In particular, poly-dihydroxyindole has an antioxidant effect, which can help protect the skin from oxidation and environmental damage. Therefore, the composition according to one aspect is effective in soothing the skin or preventing, improving, or treating skin inflammation. In addition, it can strengthen hair roots and prevent, improve, or treat hair loss, and thus, it can be used for strengthening hair roots and preventing, improving, or treating hair loss.

[0016] In another specific example, the metal-phenol complex and melanin or its precursor may be mixed in a weight ratio of 1:0.001 to 10. The metal-phenol complex and melanin or its precursor may be mixed in a weight ratio of, for example, 1:0.01 to 10, 1:0.1 to 8, 1:0.15 to 7, 1:0.5 to 9, 1:0.7 to 6, or 1:1 to 3. At this time, when the mixing ratio of the metal-phenol complex and melanin or its precursor is less than the above range, there is a problem that the dyeing effect cannot be sufficiently exhibited, and when it exceeds the above range, not only the dyeing efficiency per weight decreases, but also the unit price increases, which causes a problem that productivity decreases.

[0017] In another embodiment, when a composition comprising the metal-phenol complex and melanin or a precursor thereof was formulated, it was confirmed that the immediate dyeing effect and the color persistence after dyeing were excellent in a specific solvent. Accordingly, the composition may further comprise one or more solvents selected from the group consisting of water, C1 to C4 lower alcohol, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, behenyl alcohol, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate / VP copolymer, cocamidopropyl betaine, polyacrylate crosspolymer-6, and silica silylate.

[0018] In one specific example, the solvent may be included in an amount of 70 to 99 wt% based on the total weight of the composition. The solvent may be included in an amount of, for example, 70 to 99 wt%, 70 to 85 wt%, 75 to 90 wt%, 80 to 95 wt%, or 85 to 95 wt%. In this case, if the content of the solvent is less than the above range, there is a problem that the color stability of the dye is reduced, and if it exceeds the above range, there is a problem that the dyeing effect cannot be sufficiently exhibited.

[0019] The composition may further comprise a plant extract having dye activity. The plant extract may be, for example, a pomegranate extract, a quince extract, a cedar extract, an aloe extract, a lacquer tree extract, a walnut extract, a rose extract, a mugwort extract, etc.

[0020] In one specific example, the plant extract may be a pomegranate extract.

[0021] The above pomegranate extract is obtained by extracting a pomegranate tree with water, a lower alcohol having C1 to C4 content, or a mixture thereof, and may be obtained by extracting flowers, fruits, seeds, leaves, branches, stems, or a mixture thereof of the pomegranate tree. When extracting, the dried pomegranate tree may be cut into pieces, and then water, alcohol, or a mixture thereof may be added in an amount of 2 to 20 times the weight of the pomegranate tree to perform the extraction. The extraction may be performed at a temperature of 20 to 100°C for 1 to 10 hours. As the extraction method, any of cold steeping, ultrasonic extraction, and reflux cooling extraction methods may be used, and the extraction may be repeated 1 to 5 times.

[0022] In another specific example, the pomegranate extract may be a butylene glycol fraction obtained by extracting a pomegranate tree with water, a lower alcohol having C1 to C4, or a mixture thereof, and then refining the fraction with butylene glycol. The lower alcohol used for extracting the pomegranate tree may be ethanol or methanol. During extraction, the dried pomegranate tree may be cut into pieces, and then water, alcohol, or a mixture thereof may be added in an amount of 2 to 20 times the weight of the pomegranate tree to perform the extraction. The extraction temperature may be 30°C to 100°C. The extraction time may be 1 to 10 hours. The extraction method may utilize a cold steeping, ultrasonic extraction, or reflux cooling extraction method. The number of extractions may be 1 to 5 repeated extractions.

[0023] In another specific example, the pomegranate extract may contain an active compound. The active compound may be ellagic acid or a derivative thereof. The ellagic acid derivative may be a sodium salt, calcium salt, or amine salt derivative of ellagic acid, an ellagic acid derivative having a saturated or unsaturated acyl group having 2 to 22 carbon atoms bonded to it, or a form in which glucose is mono- or poly-ether bonded to one or more hydroxyl groups of ellagic acid. In addition, the ellagic acid or a derivative thereof may be contained in an amount of 400 ppm or more per 100 g of the pomegranate extract.

[0024] In one embodiment, it was confirmed that the formulation stability was improved by adding a thickener. Therefore, the composition according to one aspect may additionally include a thickener. The thickener may be, for example, hydroxyethyl cellulose, sodium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate / VP copolymer, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate / VP copolymer, polyacrylate crosspolymer-6, etc.

[0025] In one specific example, the thickener may be included in an amount of 0.01 to 10 wt% based on the total weight of the composition. For example, the thickener may be included in an amount of 0.01 to 10 wt%, 0.01 to 8 wt%, 0.05 to 6 wt%, 0.1 to 4 wt%, or 1 to 2 wt%. In this case, if the content of the thickener is less than the above range, the formulation may separate over time, resulting in a decrease in formulation stability, which may result in a decrease in the dyeing effect. In addition, if the content exceeds the above range, the coloring effect may be decreased, and the composition may not be evenly applied to the dyed area.

[0026] In one specific example, the thickener may be polyacrylate crosspolymer-6.

[0027] The composition is comprised of 0.001 wt% to 80 wt%, for example, 0.01 wt% to 60 wt%, 0.01 wt% to 40 wt%, 0.01 wt% to 30 wt%, 0.01 wt% to 20 wt%, 0.01 wt% to 10 wt%, 0.01 wt% to 5 wt%, 0.05 wt% to 60 wt%, 0.05 wt% to 40 wt%, 0.05 wt% to 30 wt%, 0.05 wt% to 20 wt%, 0.05 wt% to 10 wt%, 0.05 wt% to 5 wt%, 0.1 wt% to 60 wt%, 0.1 wt% to 40 wt%, 0.1 wt% to 30 wt%, 0.1 wt% to 20 The composition may include a metal-phenol complex, and melanin or a precursor thereof, in an amount of 0.1 wt% to 10 wt%, or 0.1 wt% to 5 wt%. In this case, if the content of the metal-phenol complex and melanin or a precursor thereof is less than the above range, there is a problem in that the dye effect and the color retention effect after dyeing are not sufficiently exhibited.

[0028] In this specification, the term "including as an active ingredient" means that the metal-phenol complex of this specification and melanin or a precursor thereof are added to an extent that the above-mentioned effect can be exhibited, and includes the formulation in various forms by adding various components as auxiliary components for drug delivery and stabilization, etc.

[0029] In one specific example, the composition may be a cosmetic composition.

[0030] The above cosmetic composition may have, for example, a cosmetic formulation of a softening toner, a nourishing toner, a massage cream, a nourishing cream, an essence, a pack, a gel, an ampoule, or a skin adhesive type.

[0031] The ingredients included in the above cosmetic composition may include ingredients commonly used in cosmetic compositions in addition to the composition as an active ingredient, and may include, for example, conventional auxiliary agents and carriers such as stabilizers, solubilizers, vitamins, pigments, and fragrances.

[0032] The above cosmetic composition can be prepared in one or more formulations selected from the group consisting of shampoo, cleanser, conditioner, treatment, hair pack, rinse, scalp pack, tonic, essence, lotion, cream, oil, mist, spray, hair gel, eyelash mascara, eyebrow tattoo, eyebrow, and nail polish.

[0033] The composition according to the aspect is non-cytotoxic, safe for skin and hair, natural, and has excellent color stability, so it can be used as a dye for coloring hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, skin, fingernails and toenails, etc.

[0034] Figure 1 shows the results of confirming the stability of a formulation according to temperature without a thickener.

[0035] Figure 2 shows the results of confirming the stability of a formulation containing a thickener according to temperature.

[0057] [Experimental Example]

[0058] Check the dyeing effect

[0059] The dyeing effect of the dyeing composition was confirmed. Specifically, the compositions of Preparation Examples 3 to 12 were sprayed onto the hair, and then well absorbed by hand and left at room temperature (approximately 15 to 25°C) for 10 minutes. Thereafter, the hair was washed once with water, washed a second time with shampoo in lukewarm water, and dried using a dryer for 1 minute. Afterwards, the hair was placed in a photo box and photographed to obtain an image, and the L (lightness, brightness), R (red), G (green), and B (blue) values were derived using the Image J program, and the results are shown in Table 5 below. At this time, the actual (average) color of the hair is 178, and a lower L value indicates a darker color, and it is determined that the dyeing effect is relatively high. Meanwhile, the R, G, and B values, which represent the three properties of color, are each in the range of 0 to 255, and the higher the value, the higher the color of the corresponding color appears, and a specific color is expressed by mixing the three colors.

[0060] Manufacturing Example 3 Manufacturing Example 4 Manufacturing Example 5 Manufacturing Example 6 Manufacturing Example 7 Average L (lightness) 161177178178182 R (Red) 179205205205215 G (Green) 156186186186195 B (Blue) 137143143143138 Mixed Color (Color Code) #B39C89#CDBA8F#CDBA8F#CDBA89#D7C38A Manufacturing Example 8 Manufacturing Example 9 Manufacturing Example 10 Manufacturing Example 11 Manufacturing Example 12 Average L(lightness)157166167174149R(Red)169187187203167G(Green)162171172180150B(Blue)140141143139130Mixed color (color code)#A9A28C#BBAB8D#BBAC8F#CBB48B#A79682

[0061]

[0062] As a result, as shown in Table 5, it was confirmed that Preparation Example 3 containing only poly-dihydroxyindole had an L value of 161, showing a high dyeing effect compared to Preparation Example 4 (177) containing only iron (II) D-gluconate hydrate, Preparation Example 5 (178) containing only gallic acid, Preparation Example 6 (178) containing only tannic acid, or Preparation Example 7 (182) containing only pomegranate extract. In addition, it was confirmed that Preparation Examples 8 to 12 containing at least one of poly-dihydroxyindole, iron (II) D-gluconate hydrate, gallic acid, tannic acid, and pomegranate extract showed a synergistic dyeing effect. In particular, it was confirmed that Preparation Example 12 containing all components showed the best dyeing effect.

[0063]

[0064] Check the dyeing effect according to the content

[0065] Based on the results of the above experimental examples, the dyeing effects of the dyeing compositions were confirmed according to the content ratio of each component. Specifically, the hair color after dyeing was measured using the same method as in the above experimental examples for the compositions of Preparation Examples 13 to 15, and is shown in Table 6 below.

[0066] Manufacturing Example 13 Manufacturing Example 14 Manufacturing Example 15 Average L(lightness) 125 146 145

[0067]

[0068] As a result, as shown in Table 6, it was confirmed that all of Manufacturing Examples 13 to 15 exhibited a dyeing effect, as the L value decreased compared to the L value (178) before dyeing. Specifically, it was confirmed that Manufacturing Example 13 had a significantly lower L value compared to Manufacturing Examples 14 and 15.

[0069]

[0070] Check the dyeing effect and color stability by formulation

[0071] The dyeing effect and color stability according to the formulation of the composition according to one specific example were confirmed. Specifically, the hair color after dyeing was measured in the same manner as in the experimental example for Examples 1 to 6. In addition, the color stability of the hair after dyeing was confirmed in the same manner as in the experimental example, except that Examples 1 to 6 were left at 50°C for one week.

[0072] Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4 Example 5 Example 6 L(lightness) / i.e. 179 189 186 176 178 9 6 L(lightness) / 50℃, 1W 177 182 192 175 183 170

[0073]

[0074] As a result, as shown in Table 7, in Example 1 (anhydrous formulation), Example 4 (normal cream), and Example 5 (treatment shampoo), there was no significant difference in the L / i.e. and L / 50℃, 1W values before (178) and after dyeing, and in Example 2 (mask pack) and Example 3 (high-content glycerin), the L / i.e. and L / 50℃, 1W values after dyeing increased compared to before dyeing, confirming that the dyeing effect and color stability were poor. On the other hand, in Example 6 (treatment), the L / i.e. value was significantly reduced compared to before dyeing compared to Examples 1 to 5, confirming that the immediate dyeing effect was excellent.

[0075] That is, it can be seen that the composition according to the daily aspect has a better immediate dyeing effect as the content of purified water increases.

[0076]

[0077] Check the dyeing effect and color stability according to the solvent

[0078] In the above experimental examples, Example 6 exhibited excellent dyeing effects, but it was confirmed that the dyeing effects actually declined upon long-term storage. Therefore, in this experimental example, polyol was used instead of purified water to secure both dyeing effects and color stability. Specifically, a formulation containing a dyeing composition was prepared with the ingredients and contents shown in Table 8 below, and the dyeing effects and color stability were measured using the same method as in the above experimental examples, and are shown in Table 9 below.

[0079] Example 7 Example 8 Example 9 Example 10 Propylene Glycol (Propylene Glycol) To 100 --- Butylene Glycol (Butylene Glycol) - To 100 -- Ethanol - To 100 - Glycerin - To 100 Poly-Dihydroxyindole (Poly-Dihydroxyindole) 0.18 Iron (II) D-gluconate dehydrate 0.35 Gallic acid 0.70 Tannic acid 0.35 Pomegranate extract (Preparation Example 2) 0.0035

[0080]

[0081] Example 7 Example 8 Example 9 Example 10 L (lightness) / ie 125 128 124 118 L (lightness) / 50℃, 1W 139 143 146 117

[0082]

[0083] As a result, as shown in Table 9, the L / i.e. and L / 50℃, 1W values decreased after dyeing in all formulations, confirming that the dyeing effect and color stability were excellent. In particular, Example 10, which included glycerin, showed the smallest L / i.e. and L / 50℃, 1W values compared to other formulations, confirming that the immediate dyeing effect and color stability were the best.

[0084] Therefore, a composition according to one aspect can be manufactured into a formulation having excellent dyeing effect and color stability by including a specific solvent in a specific content.

[0085]

[0086] Confirmation of formulation stability according to the presence or absence of a thickener

[0087] Example 10, which was confirmed to have excellent dyeing effect and color stability in the above experimental example, had a problem in that some parts sank to the bottom and the formulation separated when stored for a long period of time. Therefore, in this experimental example, a thickener was added to improve the formulation stability and thereby secure color stability. Specifically, as shown in Table 10 below, after preparing a dyeing composition with each component and content, it was placed in a container with the same content and left for a certain period of time under light and temperature conditions (room temperature, 4°C, 37°C, and 45°C). Thereafter, the container was turned over and photographs were taken, and the results are shown in Figs. 1 and 2, respectively. In addition, the dyeing effect and color stability (1 week and 2 weeks) were measured using the same method as in the above experimental example, and are shown in Table 11 below.

[0088] Example 11 Example 12 Example 13 Example 14 Example 15 Example 10 To 100 Hydroxyethyl cellulose 1.0 ---- Sodium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate - 1.0 --- Ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate / VP copolymer - 1.0 -- Hydroxyethyl acrylate / Sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer - 1.0 - Polyacrylate crosspolymer - 6 - 1.0

[0089]

[0090] Example 10 Example 15 L (lightness) / ie 118 117 L (lightness) / 50°C, 1W 117 118 L (lightness) / 50°C, 2W 130 116

[0091]

[0092] Figures 1 and 2 show the results of confirming the stability of the formulation at different temperatures depending on the presence or absence of a thickener.

[0093] As a result, as shown in Fig. 1, Example 10, which does not include a thickener, was confirmed to have particles that settled to the bottom and resulted in separation of the formulation regardless of temperature or light conditions. On the other hand, as shown in Fig. 2, Example 15, which includes a thickener, was confirmed to have no separation of the formulation.

[0094] In addition, as shown in Table 11, it was confirmed that the brightness value of Example 10 after two weeks at 50°C significantly increased compared to the brightness value immediately after dyeing. On the other hand, it was confirmed that the brightness value of Example 15 after two weeks at 50°C did not differ significantly from the brightness value immediately after dyeing.

[0095] That is, the composition according to the aspect forms a stable formulation by additionally including a thickener, so that not only an immediate dyeing effect but also color stability can be improved.
