Description

Stator assembly and motor

[0001] This application is based on the Chinese patent application with application number 202310787785.0 and application date of June 29, 2023, and claims the priority of the Chinese patent application. The entire content of the Chinese patent application is hereby introduced into this application as a reference. Technical Field

[0002] The present application relates to the technical field of motors, and in particular to a stator assembly and a motor. Background Art

[0003] Enclosed motors typically use water cooling or air cooling from the housing to maintain a high level of protection. This prevents the cooling air from entering the motor, resulting in a high level of protection. However, the heat transfer efficiency between the cooling channels and the hot motor windings is low, preventing the heat from being removed from the motor quickly enough. This can lead to high motor temperatures and reduced reliability during operation.

[0004] Summary of the Invention

[0005] In view of this, embodiments of the present application provide a stator assembly and a motor, which can improve the heat dissipation efficiency of the motor.

[0006] To achieve the above objectives, an embodiment of the present application provides a stator assembly, comprising:

[0007] stator core;

[0008] a stator winding, the stator winding having end windings extending from both axial ends of the stator core, with gaps between respective conductors of the end windings;

[0009] The heat conducting member at least partially fills the gaps between the end windings at both ends, and part or all of the outer peripheral surface of the heat conducting member is used to form a partial surface of a heat dissipation channel for the circulation of cooling medium.

[0010] In some embodiments, the heat conductive member includes a sleeve and a first heat conductive filling portion, wherein the sleeve is sleeved on the end winding, and the first heat conductive filling portion is filled in the gap of the end winding and between the end winding and the sleeve;

[0011] The thermal conductivity of the material of the sleeve is greater than the thermal conductivity of the material of the first heat-conducting filling part.

[0012] In some embodiments, the sleeve includes a cylinder and a heat dissipation fin group protruding from the outer circumference of the cylinder.

[0013] In some embodiments, the outer peripheral surface of the stator core has a plurality of groups of holes running through it front to back, and each of the holes constitutes a portion of the surface of the heat dissipation channel;

[0014] There are multiple heat dissipation fin groups, and each heat dissipation fin group is correspondingly arranged on the inlet side and the outlet side of each channel.

[0015] In some embodiments, the heat dissipation fin group includes a connecting plate and a heat dissipation portion provided on the connecting plate, and the connecting plate is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder with a side facing away from the heat dissipation portion.

[0016] In some embodiments, a second heat-conducting filling portion is filled between the connecting piece and the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder.

[0017] In some embodiments, the heat dissipation portion includes a plurality of heat sinks distributed at intervals, and any two adjacent heat sinks are connected to each other at one end away from the connecting plate to form a heat sink group, and any two heat sinks close to each other in adjacent heat sink groups are connected to each other at one end close to the connecting plate.

[0018] In some embodiments, the stator assembly includes an inner cylinder, which is arranged at both ends of the stator core and located on the inner side of the end winding. The inner cylinder, the sleeve and the stator core surround a cavity, and the first heat-conductive filling part is filled in the cavity.

[0019] In some embodiments, the sleeve includes a cylinder and a plurality of heat-conducting ribs provided on the cylinder and protruding inward, wherein the heat-conducting ribs are spaced apart along the circumference of the cylinder.

[0020] An embodiment of the present application provides a motor, comprising a housing and a stator assembly;

[0021] The outer circumference of the heat conductor, the outer circumference of the stator core and the shell form a heat dissipation channel. One end of the shell is provided with an air inlet connected to the heat dissipation channel, and the other end of the shell is provided with an air outlet connected to the heat dissipation channel.

[0022] An embodiment of the present application provides a motor, which includes a housing and a stator assembly. The motor includes a filter, which covers the air inlet, and the radial minimum size of the mesh of the dust filter is smaller than the spacing width between adjacent heat sinks.

[0023] In the stator assembly and motor of the present invention, heat conductors are placed in the gaps between the end windings and wrap around them, accelerating heat transfer from the end windings to their surfaces while also improving heat dissipation uniformity. Because the outer circumference of the heat conductors partially forms a heat dissipation channel for the cooling medium, heat from the surface of the heat conductors is directly carried away by the cooling medium, reducing the number of heat transfer paths and improving heat transfer efficiency. [0029] The following embodiments of the present invention are described in further detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and examples. The following examples are used to illustrate the present invention, but are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.

[0030] In the description of the embodiments of the present application, it should be noted that the terms "front," "rear," "inner," and "outer," etc., indicating orientations or positional relationships, are based on the orientations or positional relationships shown in the accompanying drawings and are intended only to facilitate the description of the embodiments of the present application and to simplify the description. They do not indicate or imply that the devices or elements referred to must have a specific orientation, be constructed, or operate in a specific orientation. Therefore, they should not be construed as limitations on the embodiments of the present application. In addition, the terms "first" and "second" are used for descriptive purposes only and should not be construed as indicating or implying relative importance.

[0031] In related art, a motor comprises a stator assembly and a rotor assembly. The stator assembly is disposed inside a housing, and the rotor assembly is disposed inside the stator assembly. When current is applied to the motor, the stator windings coupled to the stator core generate heat in addition to electromagnetic force. This heat is dissipated through axial heat dissipation channels disposed in the housing or the outer ring of the stator core.

[0032] Among them, the heat transfer path between the winding coil and the cooling channel is long and its heat transfer efficiency is low, especially for the stator winding that protrudes outward at both ends beyond the stator core. Since it is directly exposed to the air and has no contact with any object that can conduct heat, the heat generated at the both ends of the stator winding or the heat transferred to the ends can only be dissipated through the heat transfer path released into the air. The heat dissipation efficiency is very low, which can lead to heat accumulation, causing the motor temperature to rise and the reliability of the motor to be reduced.

[0033] In this regard, please refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 . An embodiment of the present application provides a stator assembly, which includes a stator core 10 , a stator winding 20 , and a heat conductor 30 .

[0034] It will be appreciated that the stator winding 20 is composed of multiple conductors running through the stator core 10. The stator winding 20 includes end windings 21 extending from both axial ends of the stator core 10. Gaps are formed between the conductors of the end windings 21, that is, gaps are formed between the conductors extending outside the stator core 10. In Figure 1 , the axial direction of the stator core 10 is the front-to-back direction.

[0035] The heat conducting member 30 at least partially fills the gaps between the end windings 21 at both ends, that is, the heat conducting member 30 partially or completely fills the gaps between the end windings 21. It is understandable that the heat conducting member 30 is composed of two parts, one corresponding to the end windings 21 at both ends of the stator core 10.

[0036] Heat from the end windings 21 is quickly transferred to the heat conductor 30. At least a portion of the outer circumference of the heat conductor 30 forms a heat dissipation channel through which the cooling medium circulates. This allows the heat from the heat conductor 30 to be carried away by the flowing cooling medium, achieving rapid heat dissipation. Furthermore, the heat conductor 30 filling the gaps between the end windings 21 improves heat dissipation uniformity, preventing localized overheating that could reduce service life.

[0037] The present application also provides a motor, as shown in Figures 1 and 2 , which includes a housing 200 , a stator assembly, and a rotor assembly. The stator assembly is disposed inside the housing 200 , and the rotor assembly is disposed inside the stator assembly at intervals.

[0038] It is understood that the motor can directly adopt or appropriately modify the structure of a known motor housing 200, stator assembly, and rotor assembly. For example, the rotor assembly can be a rotor suitable for a permanent magnet synchronous motor with permanent magnets inserted into the rotor core, or a squirrel cage rotor made of aluminum or copper, or a rotor suitable for a wound-field synchronous motor with rotor windings wound around the rotor core.

[0039] The outer circumference of the heat conducting member 30 , the outer circumference of the stator core 10 and the housing 200 define a heat dissipation channel 40 . A cooling medium, such as air, flows in the heat dissipation channel 40 to remove heat from the heat conducting member 30 and the stator core 10 .

[0040] It is understood that one end of the housing 200 is provided with an air inlet 210 communicating with the heat dissipation channel 40, and the other end of the housing 200 is provided with an air outlet 220 communicating with the heat dissipation channel 40. In this way, the cooling medium flows into the motor from one end of the housing 200, passing through the outer circumference of the heat conductive member 30 at one end of the stator core 10, the outer circumference of the stator core 10, and the outer circumference of the heat conductive member 30 at the other end of the stator core 10, thereby exchanging heat with the outer circumference, achieving rapid heat dissipation and cooling, and significantly improving the heat dissipation characteristics of the motor.

[0041] In some embodiments, the heat conducting member 30 is a first heat conducting filling portion, which is filled in the gap of the end winding 21 and wraps the end winding 21. The first heat conducting filling portion can be a silicone grease material.

[0042] In some embodiments, please refer to Figure 1, the heat conductive member 30 includes a sleeve 31 and a first heat conductive filling portion 32, and the sleeve 31 is sleeved on the end winding 21, that is, the sleeve 31 is arranged on the outside of the end winding 21. It can be understood that the outside is the side of the end winding 21 close to the rotor assembly, and correspondingly, the inside is the side of the end winding 21 away from the rotor assembly.

[0043] The first thermally conductive filling portion 32 fills the gaps between the end windings 21 and between the end windings 21 and the sleeve 31. Part or all of the outer circumference of the sleeve 31 now constitutes part of the surface of the heat dissipation channel 40. Heat from the end windings 21 is transferred to the sleeve 31 through the first thermally conductive filling portion 32, where it is cooled by heat exchange with the cooling medium. The sleeve 31 material has a higher thermal conductivity than the first thermally conductive filling portion 32, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency between the thermally conductive member 30 and the cooling medium, and thus the heat dissipation efficiency of the stator winding 20.

[0044] In some embodiments, the stator assembly includes an inner cylinder 50, which is disposed at both ends of the stator core 10 and located inside the end windings 21. The inner cylinder 50, sleeve 31, and stator core 10 define a cavity, which is filled with the first heat-conducting filling portion 32 to facilitate the formation of the first heat-conducting filling portion 32. Furthermore, the inner cylinder 50 can be made of a thermally insulating material such as aerosol fiber to prevent or reduce the transfer of heat from the stator windings 21 to the space surrounding the rotor.

[0045] During the preparation process, the sleeve 31 and inner cylinder 50 are fixed to the stator core 10 so that the sleeve 31, inner cylinder 50, and stator core 10 enclose a cavity. With one end of the motor facing upward, a flowable paste-like thermally conductive filler, such as a two-component highly thermally conductive organic silicone, is filled into the cavity, submerging the end winding. After solidification, the paste forms the first thermally conductive filler portion 32 at one end. With the other end of the motor facing upward, the filling process is repeated to form the first thermally conductive filler portion 32 at the other end.

[0046] It can be understood that, in some embodiments, the sleeve 31 includes a cylinder, and exchanges heat with the cooling medium through the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder.

[0047] 3 , the sleeve 31 includes a body 311 and a heat dissipation fin group 312 protruding from the outer circumference of the body 311. The protruding heat dissipation fin group 312 increases the heat dissipation area of the sleeve 31 and accelerates the heat exchange rate with the cooling medium.

[0048] For example, referring to Figures 1 and 2 , the outer periphery of the stator core 10 has multiple groups of holes 11 extending forward and backward. The holes 11 are circular, oval, or square, and each hole 11 constitutes a portion of the surface of the heat dissipation channel 40. In other words, the cooling medium flows through each hole 11.

[0049] There are multiple sets of heat dissipation fins 312, each of which is positioned on the inlet and outlet sides of each channel 11. It should be understood that one end of the channel 11, which runs through the channel from front to back, is the inlet, and the other is the outlet. Each channel 11 is equipped with a heat dissipation fin set 312 on both the inlet and outlet sides. This allows the cooling medium to flow into the channel 11 through the heat dissipation fin set 312 on one side of the channel 11's length and exit through the heat dissipation fin set 312 on the other side. This significantly increases the heat exchange area with the cooling medium and improves heat dissipation efficiency.

[0050] As will be understood, referring to Figures 3 and 4 , the sleeve 31 is fixedly connected to the stator core 10. In some embodiments, the sleeve 31 includes a lug 313 connected to the cylindrical body 311. The channels 11 are spaced and arranged parallel to each other along the outer circumference of the stator core 10. The lugs 313 are located at the end surfaces of the stator core 10 and aligned with the intervals between adjacent channels 11. Fasteners secure the lugs 313 to the stator core 10.

[0051] For example, referring to Figure 5 , the heat sink assembly 312 includes a connecting piece 3121 and a heat sink portion 3122 disposed on the connecting piece 3121. The connecting piece 3121 is attached to the outer circumference of the cylinder 311, with the side facing away from the heat sink portion 3122. Heat is transferred from the cylinder 311 to the connecting piece 3121, and then to the heat sink portion 3122 via the connecting piece 3121. A slot (not shown) is formed in the connecting piece 3121, with its opening distributed axially. The slot engages one end of the cylinder 311, allowing for quick installation and connection of the heat sink assembly 312.

[0052] In order to remove air between the connecting piece 3121 and the barrel 311 and improve heat conduction efficiency, in some embodiments, a second heat-conducting filling portion 33 is filled between the connecting piece 3121 and the outer circumference of the barrel 311. The second heat-conducting filling portion 33 is a gel-type heat-conducting material, such as a two-component high-thermal-conductivity organic silicone.

[0053] In some embodiments, the heat dissipation portion 3122 includes a plurality of heat dissipation fins 31221 spaced apart from each other. Any two adjacent heat dissipation fins 31221 are connected at their ends away from the connecting fin 3121 to form a heat dissipation fin group 3122a. Two adjacent heat dissipation fins 31221 in adjacent heat dissipation fin groups 3122a are connected at their ends near the connecting fin 3121. In this manner, the heat dissipation portion 3122 can be formed by bending a single plate multiple times along its thickness, thereby reducing manufacturing costs.

[0054] The thickness of the heat sink 31221 may be 0.2 mm to 1 mm.

[0055] To improve the heat dissipation effect, in some embodiments, the width of the heat dissipation fin group 312 along the circumference of the cylinder 311 is greater than the width of the channel 11, so that the cooling medium can dissipate more heat through the heat dissipation portion 3122.

[0056] In some embodiments, to avoid interference between the heat dissipation fin set 312 and the housing 200 while maintaining high heat dissipation efficiency, in some embodiments, the radial height of the heat dissipation fin set 312 is between 80% and 100% of the height of the heat dissipation channel 40 .

[0057] It can be understood that the first heat-conducting filling portion 32 contacts the inner wall of the cylinder 311 for heat transfer.

[0058] To improve the heat transfer efficiency between the barrel 311 and the first heat-conducting filling portion 32, in some embodiments, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, the sleeve 31 includes a plurality of heat-conducting ribs 314 provided on the inner wall of the barrel 311 and protruding inward. The heat-conducting ribs 314 are spaced apart along the circumference of the barrel 311, and the first heat-conducting filling portion 32 is filled between adjacent heat-conducting ribs 314 and covers each heat-conducting rib 314. This increases the contact area between the first heat-conducting filling portion 32 and the barrel 311, improves the heat exchange rate, and enhances the structural strength of the sleeve 31.

[0059] It is understandable that the cylinder 311 and the heat-conducting rib 314 can be connected by welding or integrally cast.

[0060] To further improve heat transfer efficiency, in some embodiments, the thickness of the heat-conducting rib 314 gradually decreases from one end connected to the cylinder 311 inward, so that more of the heat-conducting rib 314 is closer to the end winding 21, thereby improving the heat exchange efficiency between the end winding 21 and the heat-conducting rib 314 and the cylinder 311.

[0061] It is understood that the shape of the thermally conductive rib 314 is not limited and is determined by the distance between the end winding 21 and the inner wall of the cylinder 311. In Figure 1, due to the presence of a triangular region between the end winding 21 and the cylinder 311, the thermally conductive rib 314 is triangular in shape in this embodiment. The thermally conductive rib 314 is located on the inner wall of the cylinder 311 at one end near the stator assembly.

[0062] It is understandable that a plurality of heat-conducting ribs 314 can be provided in the axial direction of the cylinder 311 , for example, a plurality of heat-conducting ribs 314 can also be provided at the end of the cylinder 311 away from the stator assembly, so as to improve heat dissipation efficiency.

[0063] In some embodiments, the motor further includes a filter (not shown) covering the air inlet 210 to filter the cooling medium, such as air, flowing into the motor. The minimum radial dimension of the dust filter's mesh is smaller than the width of the spacing between adjacent heat sinks 31221. This prevents foreign matter from becoming lodged in the heat sink 31221 and affecting the flow of the cooling medium.
