Abstract
Description
Watering system to prevent railway rail overheating in summer
[0001] The present invention relates to a technology for preventing train accidents that may occur due to deformation of railway rails caused by direct sunlight and high temperatures, and more specifically, to preventing accidents by spraying water on railway rails that are at risk of deformation due to high temperatures.
[0002] Many railway tracks in Korea and around the world are made of steel. Steel expands and contracts with heat, and for this reason, railway organizations have implemented various physical measures, such as providing clearance at rail joints, to prevent train derailments caused by rail deformation due to direct sunlight and high temperatures. However, with the recent installation of long-span rails, faster trains, and global warming, additional safety measures are being added to the existing measures to prevent rail deformation caused by direct sunlight and high temperatures. A significant portion of these measures is the method of directly spraying water onto the rails. However, these recently added safety measures and inventions require separate facilities for spraying water onto existing rails, which incurs construction and installation costs. Furthermore, in areas where such facilities are not available, manual spraying is often used. This also requires labor costs, making it difficult for railway organizations to install a watering system across all sections of the railway to prevent rail overheating during the summer. Even if the facilities are fully operational, applying the system to all railway sections, which stretch hundreds of kilometers, would require numerous water sources. Furthermore, even when water is drawn from a single source and applied to the rails, the distance is limited to a few hundred meters. Therefore, rather than relying on the current system, which only provides water to a portion of the railway line despite the significant investment in equipment, construction, and labor, a new method is needed that can provide unlimited water to the entire railway line with minimal investment in time and money.
[0003] The present invention is intended to solve the above-described conventional problem, and when a railway organization constructs another railway rail overheating prevention measure or invention system, it incurs equipment construction time and cost, construction cost, equipment cost, labor cost, etc., and is intended to solve this.
[0004]
[0005] In addition, the present invention is intended to additionally solve the problem of water quantity requiring numerous separate water sources despite the above-described facility investment.
[0006]
[0007] In addition, the present invention is intended to additionally solve the problem of the limited distance at which water can be sprayed to prevent actual railway rail overheating even when the above-described water source problem is solved.
[0008] The present invention provides a railway rail overheating prevention watering system for solving the above-described problem, comprising: a railway rail overheating prevention watering system having an air conditioner attached to a railway vehicle, and a watering unit formed on one side of the railway vehicle for inducing water generated while the air conditioner is in operation onto the railway rail and spraying it; a railway rail overheating prevention watering system for supplying water to the watering unit by forming a reservoir on one side of the railway vehicle into which water generated while the air conditioner is in operation and water can be added from the outside; or a railway rail overheating prevention watering system for collecting water generated from the air conditioner from the railway rail or forming a reservoir on one side of a railway facility to spray water onto the railway rail.
[0009] According to the sprinkler system for preventing overheating of railway rails proposed in the present invention as described above, it is possible to reduce the equipment construction time and cost, construction cost, equipment cost, labor cost, etc. that are incurred when implementing a sprinkler system for heat waves that is currently being implemented by a relevant railway-related organization or when implementing a registered invention.
[0010]
[0011] In addition, when the sprinkler system for preventing overheating of railway rails of the present invention is introduced, the disadvantage of requiring numerous water sources, which occurs even when the existing sprinkler system is installed, can be solved.
[0012] In addition, when the sprinkler system for preventing overheating of railway rails of the present invention is introduced, the disadvantage of the existing sprinkler system being limited in scope even when spraying water collected from a water source can be solved.
[0013]
[0014] In addition, when the watering system for preventing overheating of railway rails of the present invention is introduced, periodic watering is performed due to the operation of railway vehicles, so various facilities for determining the watering timing required in existing watering systems can be reduced.
[0015]
[0016] In addition, in the case of the spraying system for preventing overheating of railway rails of the present invention, the amount of water generated when the air conditioner of the railway vehicle is operated is proportional to the high and low external temperatures, so there is no need to continuously calculate the amount of water sprayed according to the temperature of the railway rails, and when the external temperature is not high, the air conditioner of the railway vehicle is not operated, so water is not sprayed on the railway rails in other seasons, thereby resolving the disadvantage of requiring separate management like other spraying systems.

[0035] By inducing water generated when the air conditioner installed on one side of the railway vehicle is operated
[0036] Install a sprinkler that can spray water directly on the railroad rails and discard it accordingly.
[0037] A water sprinkler system that prevents overheating of railway rails.
[0038] The railway rail overheating prevention water spraying system of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. The railway rail overheating prevention water spraying system of the present invention is composed of an air conditioner (100, 110) installed on one side of a railway vehicle and a spraying unit (400) that sprays water generated when the air conditioner (100, 110) is operated onto the railway rail. Since the installation location of the air conditioner (100, 110) may vary depending on the convenience and design of the railway vehicle manufacturer, the water spraying unit (400), which is a key feature of the present invention, may have a different shape for each railway vehicle. In this description, Fig. 1 illustrates two cases where the air conditioner (100, 110) is installed on the roof of the railway vehicle, and Fig. 13 illustrates two cases where the air conditioner (100, 110) is installed on the side of the railway vehicle. The thick solid line in the drawing illustrates the movement path of water generated from the air conditioner (100, 110).
[0039] Figure 1 is a 3D drawing of a railway rail overheating prevention spraying system according to claim 1 of the present invention.
[0040] Figure 2 is a front view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 1 of the present invention.
[0041] Figure 3 is a right side view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 1 of the present invention.
[0042] First, the basic details of the railway rail overheating prevention water spraying system of the present invention will be explained with reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and 3. FIGS. 1, 2, and 3 are examples of a case where an air conditioner (100) is installed on the roof of a railway vehicle. When the air conditioner (100) installed in the railway vehicle starts to operate due to an increase in the atmospheric temperature, water is generated in the outdoor unit of the air conditioner (100). The generated water is collected by the water collection unit (200) and moves in a direction that can move toward the lower part of the railway vehicle, that is, toward the drainage unit (300). Thereafter, it is drained toward the ground by the drainage unit (300) and then sprayed onto the railway rail by the water spray unit (400). The water generated at this time is generated in proportion to the atmospheric temperature. The higher the atmospheric temperature, the more water is generated, and the lower the temperature, the less water is generated. When the atmospheric temperature is low enough that the operation of the air conditioner (100, 110) is not necessary, water generation stops, so no other management is required for railway rail management. In addition, since water is periodically sprayed onto the railway rails while the railway vehicle is in operation, the need for facilities for measuring the rail temperature is also reduced. Depending on the design of the railway vehicle and the installation location of the air conditioner (100, 110), the water collection unit (200) and drainage unit (300) may appear in various forms, such as being absent or having a combination of the two functions, and the shape of the water spray unit (400) is also not fixed.
[0043] Figure 4 is a 3D drawing of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 2 of the present invention.
[0044] Figure 5 is a front view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 2 of the present invention.
[0045] Figure 6 is a right side view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 2 of the present invention.
[0046] Figs. 4, 5, and 6 are configured as a railway rail overheat prevention watering system by adding a water storage unit (500) to the system of Figs. 1, 2, and 3 described above, so that when a large amount of water is generated from the air conditioner (100, 110), it can be stored here.
[0047] Figure 7 is a 3D drawing of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 3 of the present invention.
[0048] Figure 8 is a front view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 3 of the present invention.
[0049] Figure 9 is a right side view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 3 of the present invention.
[0050] In cases where it is difficult to install a sprinkler directly on a railway vehicle due to issues with the location of the railway vehicle or air conditioner (100, 110), the method of collecting the waste air conditioner (100, 110) water directly from the railway rail and spraying it on the rail is used. In this case, since an additional collection and spraying facility (600) must be built compared to installing a sprinkler (400) directly on the railway vehicle, the facility cost is incurred, but there is an advantage of not having restrictions on the water source and water range.
[0051] Figure 10 is a 3D drawing of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 4 of the present invention.
[0052] Figure 11 is a front view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 4 of the present invention.
[0053] Figure 12 is a right side view of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 4 of the present invention.
[0054] Figs. 10, 11, and 12 are a railway rail overheat prevention watering system configured by adding a collection and storage watering unit (700) to the railway facility section of the system of claim 3 of the above-described Figs. 7, 8, and 9, so that when a large amount of water is generated from the air conditioner (100, 110), it can be stored here.
[0055] Figure 13 is a different method of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 1 of the present invention.
[0056] This is the applied 3D drawing.
[0057] Figure 14 is a different method of the railway rail overheating prevention spraying system of claim 1 of the present invention.
[0058] This is the applied front view.
[0059] Dong 15 is a railway rail overheating prevention spraying system according to claim 1 of the present invention in a different way.
[0060] This is the right side view applied.
[0061] Figures 13, 14 and 15 show the movement path of water when an air conditioner (110) is positioned next to a railway vehicle. The movement path of water is the same as that of Figures 1, 2 and 3 described above, except for the position of the air conditioner (110).
[0062] The above-described water spray system for preventing overheating of railway rails is an embodiment of the present invention and is not limited thereto. It is obvious that even if there are some modifications, it falls within the scope of the present invention within the scope of equivalent modifications.
[0063] According to the sprinkler system for preventing overheating of railway rails proposed in the present invention as described above, the system of the present invention is completed by installing only a simple structure on one side of a railway vehicle, so that the time and cost of facility construction, construction cost, equipment cost, labor cost, etc., which are incurred when implementing a sprinkler system for heat waves implemented by existing railway-related organizations or when implementing a registered invention can be reduced.
