Abstract
Description
[0001] CLEANING APPARATUS FOR RADIATOR SURFACES
[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD
[0003] The invention relates to a radiator cleaning apparatus comprising at least one cleaning head with at least one cleaning element that allows the cleaning of the surfaces by removing the dust on the surfaces it contacts, especially to be used for cleaning the intervals in the radiator cores; and at least one handle part formed longitudinally to enable said cleaning head to be pushed forward within the range on the radiator.
[0004] BACKGROUND
[0005] Radiators are commonly used for heating purposes in homes, workplaces, hotels, schools, hospitals and other commercial or industrial buildings. They usually consist of networks of pipes through which hot water or steam from a heat source passes. Hot water or steam transfers heat to the radiator surface as it circulates through the pipes, and with these structures , the radiators are used to dissipate the heat to the environment.
[0006] The dust in the heated environment settles on the radiator surface over time and accumulates here. However, dust, pollen, and particles in the environment also accumulate in hard-to-reach areas such as between the slices of the radiator. If the radiator is not cleaned for a long time, these dusts mix with the air and reduce the air quality in the environment. As a result, respiratory tract disorders may occur.
[0007] Since the outer surfaces of the radiators are accessible, it is easy to clean, while cleaning the narrow gaps of the radiator is a laborious process. For cleaning these areas, bristle brushes produced for different purposes are used in the current art. However, such brushes require back and forth or circular movements on the surface for cleaning, and as a result of these movements, the dust leaves the radiator surface and flies away. Therefore, the cleaning process performed with the brushes in the current art causes the dust to fly into the air and cannot solve the problem of reducing the air quality.
[0008] Application DE202005008108U1 describes a cleaning apparatus for use in cleaning narrow gaps such as radiator gaps. The apparatus comprises an elastic rod. A cleaning element is located on the elastic rod and the cleaning element of the cleaning element can be disassembled and replaced. The brush structure described here requires cleaning with back and forth or circular movements. Due to this structure, no solution is offered to the abovementioned problems.
[0009] All the problems mentioned above have made it necessary to make an innovation in the relevant technical field as a result.

[0028] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0029] In this detailed description, the subject matter of the invention is explained only by means of examples that will not have any limiting effect for a better understanding of the subject matter.
[0030] A representative isometric view of the radiator cleaning apparatus (10) of the invention is given in Figure 1. The radiator cleaning apparatus (10) is suitable for use in cleaning the radiator cores used for heating any environment. Accordingly, the radiator cleaning apparatus (10) is especially configured to be used for cleaning narrow gaps such as gaps between the slices of the radiator.
[0031] The radiator cleaning apparatus (10) comprises at least one handle part (20) and at least one cleaning head (30) connected to said handle part (20). The cleaning head (30) allows the dust to be removed from the surfaces in the radiator intervals and thus the surfaces are cleaned. To ensure this, the cleaning head (30) comprises at least one cleaning element (31 ). The cleaning element (31) is made of an elastic material. It can stretch when entering narrow areas in this way. The cleaning element (31) is a sponge in a possible embodiment of the invention, the scope of the material is not limited to this. The cleaning element (31 ) may also have surfaces such as microfiber cloth, brush, felt, cotton cloth, etc. The cleaning element (31) preferably has a first conical form (211 ). The first conical form (211) defines that the cleaning element (31) has a narrowing section as it moves away from the handle part (20). Thanks to this structure, it is easier to advance the cleaning head (30) within the range.
[0032] The handle part (20) is longitudinally shaped to allow the cleaning head (30) to enter said intervals and to be advanced within these intervals. The handle part (20) is in a cylindrical form in a possible embodiment. In a preferred embodiment, the handle part (20) is made of wood material. In this way, in addition to a lightweight structure, appropriate manufacturing cost is provided. In another possible embodiment, the handle part (20) may be made of plastic-based material. In this way, a light, flexible and cost-effective handle part (20) is obtained.
[0033] The cleaning head (30) is easily disconnected with the handle part (20). Accordingly, there is at least one slot (33) on the cleaning head (30). When at least one connection tip (21) of the handle part (20) enters said slot (33), the handle part (20) and the cleaning head (30) are connected to each other. Here, the slot (33) and the handle part (20) are interlocked. The slot (33) and the handle part (20) are essentially compressed to each other. To ensure this, at least one of the rim (331 ) and the connection tip (21) of the slot (33) are configured to be flexible with respect to the other. Thanks to this structure, it is sufficient to push the handle part (20) towards the slot (33) to attach the cleaning head (30) to the handle part (20). When the handle part (20) and the cleaning head (30) are pulled in the opposite direction, they are separated from each other. The connection tip (21) has a second conical form (34) in a possible embodiment of the invention. The second conical form (34) defines that the part of the connection tip (21) facing the slot (33) has a gradually narrowing section. With this structure, when the connection tip (21) is pushed into the slot (33), it is stuck here.
[0034] There is at least one rigid body (32) in the region where the cleaning head (30) is connected to the handle part (20). The slot (33) is essentially located on said rigid body (32). The rigid body (32) comprises at least one first extension (321 ) and at least one second extension (322). The first extension (321 ) and the second extension (322) at least partially extend in axes perpendicular to each other. The first extension (321 ) and the second extension (322) are sized longer than the other. Accordingly, the rigid body (32) has a rectangular form in a possible embodiment of the invention.
[0035] The slot (33) and the rigid body (32) are removably connected to each other in a possible embodiment of the invention. In this way, the slot (33) and the rigid body (32) may be made of different materials. However, slots (33) of different sizes and shapes can be placed on the rigid body (32) to meet different needs. The handle parts (20) suitable for these slots (33) can be selected. Thus, a radiator cleaning apparatus (10) is revealed in a modular structure.
[0036] An exemplary use scenario of the radiator cleaning apparatus (10) of the invention is given in Figures 3a-3d. Accordingly, the cleaning head (30) is pushed from one side to the other through the handle part (20) by inserting it into a gap between the at least one first surface (40) and the at least one second surface (50). Here, the rigid body (32) has a second extension (322) longer than the first extension (321 ) in accordance with the representative representation in the figures. The second extension (322) is sized to have a length longer than the distance between the mutual surfaces of the gap to be cleaned. The first extension (321 ) has a shorter length than the mutual surfaces of the gap to be cleaned. In this context, the cleaning head (30) is pushed into the gap by holding the second extension (322) parallel to the surfaces of the gap.
[0037] The cleaning element (31 ) of the cleaning head (30) touches the mutual surfaces of the radiator during its advancement in the range and pushes the dirt at these points towards the opposite outlet of the range. When the cleaning head (30) reaches the end of the gap, it comes out of the gap. Then, the handle part (20) is rotated 90° around a rotation axis (a). Said rotation axis (a) is essentially in the extension direction of the handle part (20) and passes through the center of the handle part (20). As a result of the rotational movement around the rotation axis (a), the first extension (321) and the second extension (322) are also rotated 90°. As a result, when the handle part (20) is retracted, the second extension (322), which is longer than the gap, is attached to the first edge (41) and the second edge (51 ) of the first surface (40) and the second surface (50). As a result, when the handle part (20) is withdrawn, the connection tip (21 ) is out of the slot (33), the cleaning head (30) falls to the ground, and the handle part (20) is removed from the opening where it enters the gap. For cleaning other gaps on the radiator, the handle part (20) is connected to another cleaning head (30) in a possible embodiment of the invention. According to another possible embodiment of the invention, the cleaning head (30) can be cleaned and reused.
[0038] When the handle part (20) is withdrawn in the radiator cleaning apparatus (10), the rigid body (32) is made of a harder material than the cleaning element (31 ) to prevent the cleaning head (30) from coming back. In this way, the rigid body (32) is attached to the edges on the opposite side of the radiator and provides a leaning surface to separate the cleaning head (30) from the handle part (20). The rigid body (32) is made of plastic-based material in a possible embodiment.
[0039] The cleaning head (30) in the trapezoidal form shown in the figures is representative. The radiator cleaning apparatus (10) may include different heads suitable for different shaped gaps on a radiator or for radiators with different shaped gaps. Thanks to the structure that can be easily disassembled and installed, the cleaning head (30), which is shaped as the conjunction of the gap to be cleaned, can be quickly installed. With all this described embodiment, the radiator cleaning apparatus (10) of the invention reaches the gaps in the narrow gaps and ensures that these areas are cleaned. Thanks to the easily removable head, the dust on the surfaces is pushed from one end of the gap in the radiator to the other and the dust comes out with the cleaning head (30) from the other end of the gap. In other words, the dust is pushed from one side of the gap and discharged from the other side. In this way, since there is no need for forward-backward or circular movements in the gap, as in the apparatus such as the brush etc. in the current art, the dust on the surface does not fly. The scope of protection of the invention is specified in the attached claims and cannot be limited to those explained for sampling purposes in this detailed description. It is evident that a person skilled in the art may exhibit similar embodiments in light of abovementioned facts without drifting apart from the main theme of the invention.
