Abstract
Description
[0001] TESTER HOUSING
[0002] FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The object of the utility model is a housing of a tester of an electric vehicle DC fast charging station.
[0004] CURRENT STATE OF THE ART
[0005] There are known solutions of testers of electric vehicle DC charging stations in suitcasesized enclosures, with very small load capacities and intended mainly for testing compliance with current communication standards and regulatory requirements. These testers are equipped with small LCD displays and are mainly intended for service and diagnostic purposes. There are also known solutions of charging station testers intended for laboratories, fortesting compliance with applicable standards, with a high degree of complexity, whose user interface is executed as a separate IT application, the use of which requires a separate PC. These testers are very complex to use and require qualified personnel to perform charging station compliance testing.
[0006] US patent application US20160327615A1 presents a compact hand-held electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) tester that performs comprehensive electrical safety and functional tests, simulating the presence of an electric vehicle and enabling diagnostics and fault identification via software that transmits data in a remote manner, enabling real-time remote access and control to aid EVSE diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
[0007] Another US patent application US20130076368A1 presents a tester that connects to an electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) connector, simulating an electric vehicle's battery supply to verify proper EVSE operation without the vehicle being present, with LEDs indicating compliance with the specifications in one implementation example and with detailed voltage and signal measurements enabled in the other, while performing ground fault, proximity sensor and reclosing tests.
[0008] An electric vehicle charging station, mounted on a concrete pedestal or as a wall mount, is known from another US patent application US20110145141A1; it includes a housing with two J1772 sockets and plugs, coiled cables, and a touch screen user interface for selecting charging time, station, and payment, providing powerto the vehicle through a connected plug.
[0009] There are no known solutions for testers for electric vehicle DC fast charging stations, designed for in-line performance and functional testing of charging stations, capable of performing load tests with rated power over the entire current-voltage range, the intended use of which requires an uncomplicated and integrated HMI.
[0010] DISCLOSURE OF THE UTILITY MODEL
[0011] In the light of the state of the art described above, the purpose of the present utility model is to overcome the indicated disadvantages and to provide a housing for a tester of electric vehicle DC fast charging stations with a shape similar to a cuboid.
[0012] The housing of a tester of the electric vehicle DC fast charging station with a shape similar to a cuboid, containing:
[0013] — a front panel,
[0014] — a left side panel,
[0015] — a right side panel
[0016] — and a rear panel, characterised in that the touch screen is located in the upper central part of the front pane, under which the following items are located: the on / off switch, the tri-colour operating status indicator light, the CP signal interruption simulator and the stop button, under which the insulation tester controller knob is located, under which there is the emergency stop switch, under which the USB and Ethernet communication sockets are located, and in the lower part of the panel there is the main disconnector drive, above which the service socket, the phase control indicator and the network parameters meter are located. Favourably, the left side panel with charging connector socket is interchangeable with the right side panel.
[0017] Favourably, the AC power supply cable connectors of the tester as well as the AC power supply connectors and the DC connectors of the active load are located in the lower part of the rear panel.
[0018] The advantage of the applied solution is its simplicity and its compact shape, allowing high functionality.
[0019] A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING FIGURES
[0020] For a better understanding of the utility model, it has been illustrated in the execution examples and the accompanying drawing figures, in which:
[0021] Fig. 1 - shows a perspective view;
[0022] Fig. 2 - shows the view of the front side, i.e. from the user panel;
[0023] Fig. 3 - shows the left side view;
[0024] Fig. 4 - shows the right side view;
[0025] Fig. 5 - shows the rear view, i.e. from the side of the cable connectors.
[0026] WAYS OF EXECUTION OF THE UTILITY MODEL
[0027] The following examples illustrate the utility model without limiting it in any way. Tester housing
[0028] Fig. 1 shows a tester housing according to the utility model.
[0029] The housing of a tester of the electric vehicle DC fast charging station according to the utility model consists of:
[0030] — the front panel A on which the operator interface is located, together with the tester controls,
[0031] — the left side panel B, on which the charging connector socket is located,
[0032] — the right side panel C
[0033] — and the rear panel D where the cable connectors are located. The whole forms a rectangular housing, on top of which a light display has been installed 14 that is automatically activated when the charging station is tested. On the front panel A of the tester housing there is an operator panel (interface) with all the necessary components for testing. At the top of front panel A there is a touch screen 3, which displays the current operating parameters of the tested charging station, also used for entering the parameters and test scenarios under which the charging station is being tested. The touch screen 3 also enables the graphic display of the data, and the size of the screen makes it possible to read the current parameters and data even from a greater distance. Directly below the touch screen 3 there are four components located horizontally, the first of which, from the right side panel C, is the on / off switch 1, by means of which the AC power supply path of the tester is switched on and off, as well as the AC power supply to the active loads connected to the tester from the rear panel D. Next to the switch 1 there is the indicator light 2, which indicates the operating status of the tester by means of its lighting colour. It is advantageous that the lighting colours are adopted and identical to the standard of the charging station light signals: red - error, green - ready, and blue - charging. To the right of indicator light 2 there is button 4 of the CP signal break, which is used to test the loss of the "Control Pilot" signal sent from the charging station. To the right of button 4 is a physical button 5 with which the charging station test process is intentionally paused. In the middle of the front panel A, under the components 1, 2, 4, and 5 of the operator panel, there is a rotary switch 6 of the insulation control circuit tester controller horizontally centred. Under the rotary switch 6 of the insulation control circuit tester controller there is a safety switch 7 horizontally centred, Underneath the safety switch 7, there are two USB connectors 8 and two Ethernet connectors 9 for service and diagnostic purposes, horizontally centred. At the bottom of the front panel A there are the following components horizontally centred: a 230 VAC service socket 10, and directly next to it, to the right, there is a phase presence and control indicator 11, followed by the network parameters meter 12. In the lowest part of the front panel there is the main disconnector drive 13, horizontally centred.
[0034] There is also a charging connector socket 18 in the central part of the left side panel B, horizontally centred. Advantageously, the left side panel B and the right side panel C are mutually interchangeable and the charging connector socket 18 can be located on both the right and the left side of the tester. The cable connectors for the AC active load power supply 15, the tester power supply connectors 16 and the active load DC connectors 17 are located at the back of the housing, at the bottom of the rear panel D. Advantageously, all cable connectors should be located on the rear panel D of the housing, which increases the comfort and safety of work and operating the tester.
