[0008] Hereinafter, embodiments and examples of the glass containing a crystalline phase of the present invention will be described in detail, but the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments and examples, and can be practiced with appropriate modifications within the scope of the object of the present invention.

[0009] [Glass containing a crystalline phase] In the glass containing a crystalline phase of the present invention, the base glass satisfies the following conditions in terms of mass % of oxides: SiO 2 Component content 65.0% to 85.0%, Al 2 O 3 Ingredient content 3.0% to 15.0%, P 2 O 5 Component content: Over 0% to 5.0%, Li 2 O content: over 5.0% to 15.0%, ZrO 2 The content of the component is 0% to 10.0%, the content of the MgO component is 0% to 5.0%, and [SiO 2 Ingredient content / (Na 2 O component content + K 2 The glass of the present invention containing a crystalline phase has a transmittance of 70% or more at 550 nm. The transmittance is measured by the method described in the examples using a sample having a thickness of 10 mm.

[0010] Glasses containing the above-mentioned crystalline phases satisfy specific compositional conditions, and therefore exhibit high light transmittance and excellent transparency. Therefore, they can be used as components for smartphone cover glass and housings, components for portable electronic devices such as tablet PCs and wearable devices, and components for protective protectors and head-up display substrates used in transportation vehicles such as cars and airplanes, and the high transparency of the glass can improve the utility value of each of the above-mentioned devices. Hereinafter, each configuration of the glass containing the crystalline phase of the present invention will be described.

[0011] <Glass containing a crystalline phase> The glass containing a crystalline phase of the present invention is a glass material having a crystalline phase and a glass phase, and is distinguished from an amorphous material. The glass containing a crystalline phase of the present invention is, for example, crystallized glass. The glass containing a crystalline phase of the present invention can be produced by adjusting the raw material composition and production conditions according to the production method and examples described below. Furthermore, the glass containing a crystalline phase of the present invention can have a compressive stress layer formed on its surface by various strengthening methods (chemical strengthening, thermal strengthening, ion implantation, etc.).

[0012] In one embodiment, the glass (e.g., crystallized glass) containing a crystalline phase of the present invention has a light transmittance at 550 nm of 70% or more, 75% or more, or 80% or more.

[0013] In one embodiment, the glass (e.g., crystallized glass) containing a crystalline phase of the present invention has an average light transmittance of 70% or more, 75% or more, or 80% or more in the range of 400 to 800 nm, as measured using a 10 mm thick sample by the method described in the Examples.

[0014] (Glass-ceramics) Glass-ceramics, also known as glass ceramics, are materials in which crystals are precipitated inside the glass by heat-treating the glass. Glass-ceramics are materials that have a crystalline phase and a glass phase, and are distinguished from amorphous solids. Generally, the crystalline phase of glass-ceramics is determined by the angle of the peaks that appear in the X-ray diffraction pattern of X-ray diffraction analysis.

[0015] In one embodiment, the glass containing a crystalline phase (e.g., glass-ceramics) of the present invention contains one or more crystalline phases selected from vergielite, lithium disilicate (also called lithium disilicate or lithium disilicate), petalite, and β-quartz solid solution. The method for identifying the crystalline phase is as described in the Examples.

[0016] In one embodiment, the crystalline phase-containing glasses (e.g., glass-ceramics) of the present invention include a crystalline phase of vergielite, a crystalline phase of lithium disilicate (also known as lithium disilicate or lithium disilicate), and a crystalline phase of petalite.

[0017] Crystallized glass can be produced by the following method: raw materials are uniformly mixed so that each component falls within a predetermined content range, and then melt-molded to produce a base glass. This base glass is then crystallized to produce crystallized glass.

[0018] (Base Glass) The base glass satisfies the specific compositional conditions described above. In this specification, the content of each component is expressed in mass% converted to oxide unless otherwise specified. Here, "oxide converted" refers to the amount of oxide of each component contained in the crystallized glass, expressed in mass%, when the total mass of the oxides is 100 mass%, assuming that all the components constituting the crystallized glass are decomposed and converted to oxides. In this specification, A% to B% means A% or more and B% or less.

[0019] The base glass may have the following configuration in addition to the above compositional conditions in order to be easily deformed into a curved shape by thermal processing and to obtain a high visible light transmittance in the crystallized glass.

[0020] SiO 2 The component is a framework component that constitutes the glass containing a crystalline phase, and is a component that enhances stability and precipitates a desired crystalline phase. 2 When the content of the component is 85.0% or less, excessive increase in viscosity and deterioration of meltability can be suppressed, and when it is 65.0% or more, the stability of the glass containing a crystalline phase can be improved. Therefore, the upper limit is preferably 85.0% or less, more preferably 83.0% or less, and even more preferably 80.0% or less. The lower limit is preferably 65.0% or more, and may be 68.0% or more, or more than 70.0%.

[0021] Al 2 O 3 The Al component is a framework component that constitutes the inorganic composition part and is a component that enhances stability. 2 O 3When the content of the component is 15.0% or less, the deterioration of devitrification can be suppressed, and when it is 3.0% or more, the deterioration of stability can be suppressed. Therefore, the upper limit is preferably 15.0% or less, more preferably 13.0% or less, and may be less than 12.0%. Furthermore, the lower limit is preferably 3.0% or more, more preferably 4.0% or more, more preferably 5.0% or more, more preferably more than 7.0%, and more preferably more than 8.0%.

[0022] P 2 O 5 The component is an essential component that promotes crystal formation in glasses containing crystalline phases. 2 O 5 If the content of the component is 5.0% or less, phase separation of the glass can be suppressed. Therefore, the upper limit is preferably 5.0% or less, more preferably 4.5% or less, and even more preferably 4.0% or less. [0023] Li 2 The O component is a component that improves the meltability of the base glass and enhances manufacturability. 2 When the content of the O component is 15.0% or less, the deterioration of devitrification can be suppressed, and when it exceeds 5.0%, the deterioration of viscosity and meltability can be suppressed, and manufacturability can be improved. Therefore, the lower limit is preferably more than 5.0%, more preferably 6.0% or more, and even more preferably 7.0% or more. The upper limit is preferably 15.0% or less, more preferably 13.0% or less, and may be 12.0% or less.

[0024] ZrO 2 Although the glass containing the crystalline phase according to the present invention can be prepared even at 0% of this component, it is a component that acts as a nucleating agent for crystals when contained at more than 0%. 2When the content of this component is 10.0% or less, deterioration of meltability can be suppressed. Therefore, the upper limit is preferably 10.0% or less, more preferably 8.0% or less, more preferably 5.0% or less, and even more preferably 3.5% or less, and may be less than 2.5%. Furthermore, the lower limit is preferably 0% or more, more preferably 0.5% or more, more preferably 0.8% or more, more preferably 1.0% or more, and even more preferably more than 1.5%.

[0025] Although the MgO component can produce a glass containing the crystalline phase according to the present invention even at 0%, it is a component that improves low-temperature melting properties when contained in an amount exceeding 0%. When the MgO content is 5.0% or less, the glass is easily tempered during chemical tempering. Therefore, the upper limit is preferably 5.0% or less, more preferably 3.0% or less, and even more preferably less than 2.0%. The lower limit is preferably 0% or more, more preferably 0.1% or more, and even more preferably 0.2% or more.

When the ZnO content is 5.0% or less, strengthening is facilitated during chemical strengthening. Therefore, the upper limit is preferably 5.0% or less, more preferably 3.0% or less, and even more preferably less than 2.0%. The lower limit is preferably 0% or more, more preferably more than 0%, more preferably 0.1% or more, and even more preferably 0.2% or more.

[0027] Although the CaO component can produce a glass containing the crystalline phase according to the present invention even at 0%, it is a component that improves low-temperature melting property when contained in an amount exceeding 0%. If the CaO content is 5.0% or less, strengthening is facilitated during chemical strengthening. Therefore, the upper limit can be preferably set to 5.0% or less, more preferably 3.0% or less, and even more preferably less than 1.0%.

[0028] Although the glass according to the present invention can be produced even with 0% of the SrO component and the BaO component, when the content exceeds 0%, these components improve low-temperature melting property. When the content of each of the SrO component and the BaO component is 5.0% or less, strengthening is facilitated when chemical strengthening is performed. Therefore, the upper limit of each of the SrO component and the BaO component can be preferably set to 5.0% or less, more preferably 3.0% or less, and even more preferably 1.0% or less.

[0029] Gd 2 O 3 The glass according to the present invention can be produced even if the content of this component is 0%, but when it is contained in an amount exceeding 0%, it is a component that can increase the refractive index and decrease the partial dispersion ratio. 2 O 3 If the component is contained in a large amount, the liquidus temperature may decrease, causing the glass to devitrify. 2 O 3 By making the content of the component 10.0% or less, it is possible to reduce devitrification and coloring. 2 O 3 The upper limit of the content of the component is preferably 10.0% or less, more preferably 8.0% or less, even more preferably 5.0% or less, and most preferably 3.0% or less.

[0030] By setting the total content of CaO and MgO [CaO content + MgO content] to 5.0% or less, it is possible to prevent chemical strengthening from becoming difficult, and even at 0%, it is possible to produce a glass containing the crystalline phase according to the present invention. However, if the total content exceeds 0%, deterioration of meltability can be suppressed. Therefore, the upper limit of [CaO content + MgO content] is preferably 5.0% or less, more preferably 3.0% or less, more preferably less than 3.0%, even more preferably 2.0% or less, and may be 1.0% or less. Furthermore, the lower limit of [CaO content + MgO content] is preferably 0% or more, more preferably more than 0%, more preferably 0.1% or more, and even more preferably 0.2% or more.

However, when the O component is contained in an amount exceeding 0%, deterioration in viscosity and meltability can be suppressed, and manufacturability can be improved. 2 O component, Na 2 The lower limit of each of the O components is preferably 0% or more, more preferably 0.2% or more, and further preferably 0.3% or more. 2 O component, Na 2 The upper limit of each of the O components is preferably set to 5.0% or less, more preferably 4.0% or less, more preferably less than 3.0%, and even more preferably less than 2.0%.

[0032] Sb 2 O 3 The component functions as a fining agent when producing raw glass. 2 O 3 If the component is contained in excess, the transmittance in the short wavelength region of the visible light region may be deteriorated. Therefore, the upper limit can be preferably set to 2.0% or less, more preferably 1.0% or less, more preferably 0.6% or less, and even more preferably 0.5% or less. The lower limit can be preferably set to 0% or more, more preferably more than 0%, more preferably 0.001% or more, more preferably 0.01% or more, and more preferably 0.05% or more.

[0033] B 2 O 3 The component has the effect of lowering the viscosity of the raw glass. 2 O 3 When the content of the component is 10.0% or less, the deterioration of devitrification can be suppressed. 2 O 3Although a glass containing the crystalline phase according to the present invention can be produced even when the content of the component is 0%, a content of more than 0% can suppress deterioration in the viscosity and meltability of the base glass. Therefore, the upper limit can be preferably set to 10.0% or less, more preferably 8.0% or less, more preferably 7.0% or less, more preferably 5.0% or less, more preferably 4.0% or less, and even more preferably 3.0% or less. The lower limit can be preferably set to 0% or more, more preferably more than 0%, more preferably 0.001% or more, more preferably 0.01% or more, more preferably 0.05% or more, more preferably 0.10% or more, and even more preferably 0.30% or more.

[0034] Na 2 O content and K 2 SiO relative to the total content of O components 2 The ratio of the content of the components [SiO 2 Ingredient content / (Na 2 O component content + K 2 O component content)] is set to 23.0 to 150.0, excellent transmittance can be achieved. 2 Ingredient content / (Na 2 O component content + K 2 The upper limit of [SiO content] is preferably 150.0 or less, more preferably 130.0 or less, more preferably 120.0 or less, and even more preferably 110.0 or less. [0057] (Method for manufacturing crystallized glass) The heat treatment for crystal precipitation may be a one-stage or two-stage heat treatment. In the two-stage heat treatment, a nucleation step is first performed by heat treatment at a first temperature, and after this nucleation step, a crystal growth step is performed by heat treatment at a second temperature higher than that of the nucleation step. The first temperature of the two-stage heat treatment is preferably 400°C to 750°C, more preferably 450°C to 720°C, and even more preferably 500°C to 680°C. It can also be 550°C to 650°C. The second temperature of the two-stage heat treatment is preferably 550°C to 850°C, more preferably 600°C to 800°C. It can also be 650°C to 750°C. The holding time at the second temperature is preferably 30 minutes to 600 minutes, more preferably 60 minutes to 400 minutes.

[0058] In one-stage heat treatment, the nucleation step and the crystal growth step are carried out continuously at a single temperature. Typically, the temperature is raised to a predetermined heat treatment temperature, and after reaching the heat treatment temperature, the temperature is maintained for a certain period of time, and then the temperature is lowered. In the case of one-stage heat treatment, the heat treatment temperature is preferably 600°C to 800°C, more preferably 630°C to 770°C. The holding time at the heat treatment temperature is preferably 30 minutes to 500 minutes, more preferably 60 minutes to 400 minutes.

[0059] Examples 1 to 64, Comparative Example 1 (1) Preparation of raw materials As raw materials for each component of the crystallized glass, raw materials of the corresponding oxides were selected, and these raw materials were weighed and mixed uniformly to obtain the compositions shown in Tables 1 to 5.

[0060] (2) Production of Crystallized Glass Next, the mixed raw materials were placed in a platinum crucible and melted in an electric furnace at 1300°C to 1600°C for 2 to 24 hours depending on the melting difficulty of the glass composition. The molten glass was then stirred to homogenize it, and the temperature was lowered to 1000°C to 1450°C, after which it was poured into a mold and slowly cooled to produce a base glass. The obtained base glass was heated under the nucleation conditions and nucleus growth (crystallization) conditions shown in Tables 6 to 10 to produce a crystallized glass.

[0061] (3) Confirmation of crystalline phase The crystalline phase contained in the crystallized glass obtained in (2) was determined from the angle of the diffraction peak and the intensity ratio of multiple diffraction peaks appearing in the X-ray diffraction pattern measured using an X-ray diffraction analyzer (D8Discover, manufactured by Bruker). The confirmed crystalline phases are shown in Tables 6 to 10.

[0062] (4) Measurement of light transmittance The crystallized glass obtained in (2) was polished to prepare a plate-shaped measurement sample having a thickness of 10 mm. The measurement sample was measured for light transmittance (%) at 550 nm and average light transmittance (%) at 400 to 800 nm using a spectrophotometer (Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation's "U-4100"). The results are shown in Tables 6 to 10.

[0063]

[0064] It can be seen from Tables 6 to 10 that the crystallized glasses of the examples that satisfy the specific compositions exhibit excellent light transmittance.
