AI Technical Summary
Existing planetary bolts in planetary gears face alignment unreliability due to the need for separate machining steps and tools, which can lead to inefficiencies and potential misalignment during assembly.
The integration of an orientation embossing directly within the planet bolt, allowing for fluid pressing without additional machining, featuring partial or full chamfers at the ends to secure the bolt through material displacement into a central recess, facilitating reliable alignment and fastening by guiding the orientation tool into a triangular or sack hole design.
This solution ensures reliable alignment and secure fastening of the planetary bolt within the gear, reducing assembly errors and allowing for simultaneous manufacturing steps, thereby enhancing the bolt's rotational stability and ease of installation.

Abstract
Description
[0001] Extruded planetary bolt with integrated mounting orientation feature
[0002] DE 10 2016 210 526 A1 shows a planetary gear bolt for use in a planetary gear transmission, such as a spur gear differential of a motor vehicle, between a planet carrier and a planetary gear, with a first end and an opposite second end, wherein an opening extends from one end into the bolt along the longitudinal axis of the bolt, wherein an assembly marking in the form of a recess is present.
[0003] DE 10 2016 210 528 A1 shows a manufacturing method for a planetary gear pin, in which a pin with a preferably circular outer contour in cross-section is created from a blank, wherein an opening extending from one end of the pin in the longitudinal direction is introduced into the pin.
[0004] The object of the invention is to provide an improved planetary pin for a planetary gear.
[0005] According to the invention, the problem is solved by an orientation stamping directly in the blank of the planetary bolt during extrusion without additional machining.
[0006] Thus, there is a planetary gear with a planetary pin, wherein the planetary gear has a first and a second carrier cheek and the planetary pin is received in a rotationally fixed manner in the first and / or the second carrier cheek, wherein the rotationally fixed reception between at least one of the carrier cheeks and the planetary pin is implemented by material displacement from the corresponding carrier cheek itself, wherein the planetary pin according to the invention is extruded and an orientation imprint is formed within a central recess of the planetary pin formed by the extrusion process. The planetary pin has at one end, on the edge between the end face and the outer surface, partial or circumferential chamfers for caulking in the planet carrier. The material of the planet carrier is displaced and moved into the region of the chamfer. The planetary pin is thus secured and fastened in the planet carrier.
[0007] If the partial chamfers are used to circumferentially align the planetary pin in its planetary carrier mount, the circumferential alignment is unreliable, as the alignment tool must give way to the caulking tool. According to the invention, their alignment is therefore achieved via the inventive orientation imprint, so that the tool can press the material from the planetary carrier into the chamfer area at the correct location.
[0008] Advantageously, the orientation imprint is shaped like a triangle, with the three embossed surfaces of the triangle serving as a driver for the alignment tool. This allows the alignment tool to reliably engage the planetary pin and rotate it into the target position.
[0009] In one embodiment of the invention, both carrier cheeks form a rotationally fixed receptacle with the planetary bolt.
[0010] In a further embodiment, one of the support cheeks forms a rotationally fixed receptacle with the planetary bolt, while the other support cheek has a receptacle in the form of a blind hole for the planetary bolt, into which the end of the planetary bolt is inserted.
[0011] Another design provides for the rotationally fixed planetary pin to be mounted at only one end of the planetary pin. The caulking at just one end of the planetary pin is sufficient to hold it reliably in the planetary carrier.
[0012] For example, the orientation imprint is preferably located on the bottom of a central recess formed as a blind hole. This prevents collision between the alignment tool and the caulking tool. It even allows both manufacturing steps to be performed almost simultaneously. Alternatively, the orientation imprint is advantageously located on an inner surface of the central recess.
[0013] Further embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail in the figures. They show:
[0014] Figure 1 shows a planetary bolt according to the invention in a perspective uncut view,
[0015] Figure 2 shows the planetary bolt according to Figure 1 in a sectional view,
[0016] Figure 3 shows the planetary bolt according to Figure 1 with a view of its front face and
[0017] Figure 4 shows the planetary bolt according to Figure 1, which is installed in a planetary gear.
[0018] Figure 1 shows a perspective, uncut view of a planetary pin 2 according to the invention. At one end, the planetary pin 2 has, at the edge 9 between the end face 10 and the lateral surface 11, partial or continuous chamfers 12 for caulking in the planetary carrier 3, 4. The material of the planetary carrier 3, 4 is displaced and moved into the area of the chamfer 12. The planetary pin 2 is thus secured and fastened in the planetary carrier 3, 4.
[0019] Figure 2 shows the planetary pin 2 according to Figure 1 in a sectional view. The central recess 5, designed as a blind hole, is clearly visible. This recess has a base 8 approximately midway along the axial length of the planetary pin 2. The base 8 divides the planetary pin 2 into two areas, one with the central recess 5 as a blind hole and one on the side of the base opposite the end face 10, also with a recess in the form of a blind hole. The orientation imprint 6 is introduced into the base 8 - here in the form of an isosceles triangle. A circular ring area of the base 8 remains around the orientation imprint 6 so that the alignment tool 13 can find its axial position, as described in more detail in Figure 4 and visible in the associated illustration.
[0020] Figure 3 shows the planetary pin 2 according to Figure 1, viewed from its end face 10. In this view, the orientation marking is clearly visible as an isosceles triangle. The geometric center of gravity of the triangle lies on the axis of symmetry of the planetary pin 2, i.e., in the center when viewed from this direction.
[0021] Figure 4 shows the planetary pin 2 according to Figure 1, which is installed in a planetary gear 1. The alignment tool 13 penetrates the central recess 5 and is guided through the inner circumferential surface 7 until the alignment tool 13 comes to rest axially on the base 8 and engages the orientation imprint 6. The planetary pin 2 can now be rotated about its longitudinal axis until the chamfers 12 are in the correct position relative to the planet carrier 3. The material of the planet carrier 3 can then be pressed into the chamfers 12 of the planetary pin 2 so that the planetary pin 2 is secured in the planet carrier 3.
