Abstract
Description
[0001] Device for adjusting the preload force of a spring
[0002] The invention relates to a device for adjusting the preload force of a spring according to patent claim 1.
[0003] To secure cables, especially power cables, pipes, and hoses, clamps are frequently used. These clamps comprise a clamp body made of a thermoplastic or elastomeric material, or even metal. The clamp body is often made of two fastening parts that can be clamped against each other, which, when assembled, form a passage for accommodating the cable.
[0004] EP 3 835 638 B1 describes a device for fastening cables, comprising two or three fastening parts that can be clamped against one another. The fastening parts are each pivotally connected to one another via a hinge. The first and last fastening parts are detachably connected to one another via a tensioning device. A tension fastener is arranged at the end of one outer fastening part, the tension hook of which can be brought into engagement with a counter-hook arranged on the other outer fastening part. The tension hook is designed in the form of an eyelet at its end and is connected to the tension bracket of the tension fastener via a threaded spindle.
[0005] A shaft is rotatably mounted between the legs of a U-shaped clamping bracket. A threaded hole is radially machined into the shaft, into which the threaded spindle of the clamping hook is screwed. A helical spring is pushed onto the clamping hook and pre-tensioned between the clamping hook and the shaft. The threaded spindle of the clamping hook is secured at the end by a lock nut. An additional spring element is arranged on the threaded spindle between the lock nut and the clamping bracket. This additional spring ensures the required clamping force of the clamping fastener even when the elasticity of the terminal blocks made of an elastomer material decreases. The fastening device described above has proven itself in practice. The clamping fastener enables cables to be picked up and fastened quickly and easily.The second spring element provides sufficient preload to prevent the fastening device from loosening when the elasticity of the clamping blocks, made of an elastomer material, decreases. Sufficient preload of the additional spring is a prerequisite for a long-term, reliable clamping connection.
[0006] This is where the present invention comes in. The invention is based on the object of providing a device for adjusting the preload force of a spring, which ensures sufficient preload. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a device having the features of patent claim 1.
[0007] The invention provides a device for adjusting the preload force of a spring, ensuring sufficient preload. The arrangement of two receiving bodies, each guided displaceably by the other receiving body and between which the spring is held, allows the setting of a defined preload. The receiving bodies and the spring have an aligned opening for the threaded spindle to pass through, and means for indicating the distance between the two receiving bodies are provided.
[0008] In a further development of the invention, the means for indicating the distance comprise markings which are arranged on the two receiving bodies in such a way that, in accordance with the relative axial movement of the two receiving bodies to one another, the markings of one receiving body move along the markings of the other receiving body. This achieves simple optical detection of when the required preload force is reached, at which point the markings of the two receiving bodies are aligned with one another. In a further embodiment of the invention, the receiving bodies are cup-shaped and arranged so as to engage one another telescopically, with a marking being arranged on the outer surface of the inner receiving body which comprises lines arranged axially spaced from one another, with the outer edge of the outer receiving body forming its marking. This results in a simple, robust construction of the device.
[0009] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, at least one receiving body has at least one web running in the axial direction, which in each case either engages in a recess of the other receiving body, in which it is axially displaceable, or is displaceable externally along the other receiving body. Preferably, the receiving bodies each have a contact plate provided with an opening, on which webs are arranged orthogonally to the opening and spaced from one another, which delimit recesses, wherein the webs of the two receiving bodies each engage in the recesses of the other receiving body, thereby forming a meshing connection. The spring is held between the contact plates of the two receiving bodies and can be preloaded towards one another by a relative movement of the two receiving bodies.
[0010] In a further embodiment of the invention, the receiving bodies each have three webs offset by 120° from each other on the respective support plate. This creates a stable arrangement. The support plate is preferably hexagonal in shape, with a web arranged on every other side.
[0011] In a further development of the invention, the markings are formed by at least two axially spaced-apart scales comprising circumferential lines. This allows the relative position of the two receiving bodies and thus a defined preload to be adjusted.
[0012] In one embodiment of the invention, the receiving bodies are identically designed. This supports cost-effective production. The receiving bodies are advantageously manufactured as formed sheet metal parts. In a further embodiment of the invention, the spring element is formed by a spiral compression spring, with a collar framing the openings of each receiving body, directed toward the other receiving body and encompassed by the spiral compression spring. This ensures a reliable fit of the spiral compression spring in the device.
[0013] The invention further relates to a clamp comprising at least two clamp parts which can be tensioned against one another via a tension lock, wherein the tension lock has a threaded spindle pretensioned by a spring, on which a device of the aforementioned type is arranged which comprises the spring.
[0014] Further developments and refinements of the invention are specified in the remaining subclaims. Embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and described in detail below. They show:
[0015] Figure 1 shows a schematic representation of a device for adjusting the preload force of a spring;
[0016] Figure 2 shows the device from Figure 1 in a side view a) with insufficient spring preload (markings of the lower receiving body are arranged below the markings of the upper receiving body); b) with sufficient spring preload (markings of the lower receiving body are aligned with the markings of the upper receiving body);
[0017] Figure 3 shows the device from Figure 1 in an exploded view;
[0018] Figure 4 shows a schematic representation of a clamp for holding cables: a) in the assembled state; b) in a partially exploded view. The device chosen as an exemplary embodiment for adjusting the preload force of a spring comprises two identically designed holding bodies 1, between which a spiral compression spring 2 is arranged.
[0019] The receiving bodies 1 are each manufactured as a stamped and bent sheet metal part and comprise a contact plate 11 on which three circumferential webs 12 are arranged orthogonally to the plate, offset by 120 degrees to one another, which webs delimit recesses 14. In the exemplary embodiment, the contact plate 1 is designed in the shape of a hexagon, with one of the three webs 12 being arranged on every other side. A conical indentation is made centrally in the contact plate, which delimits a circular opening 15 and through which a circumferential collar 16 is formed on the underside of the contact plate 1 facing the webs 12. The webs 12 are each provided on the outside at the same height with a scale 13 formed by dashed lines.
[0020] The receiving bodies 1 are assembled in such a way that the webs 12 of one receiving body 1 each engage in a recess 14 of the opposite receiving body 1, whereby they are connected to each other in a meshing manner and are movable relative to each other. The spiral compression spring 2 rests with one end against the collar 16 of each receiving body 1, at least partially enclosing the collar 16 of the receiving body 1, on the support bar 11 of the latter.
[0021] Figure 1 shows a device mounted in this manner, with the two receiving bodies 1 positioned axially relative to one another such that the scales 13 of the webs 12 of the two receiving bodies 1 are aligned with one another. In Figure 2, the coil compression spring 2 does not achieve sufficient preload: the scales 13 of the webs 12 of the lower receiving body 1 are located below the scales 13 of the webs 12 of the upper receiving body 1.
[0022] Figure 4 shows a clamp 3 with a tension lock 4, which is provided with a pretensioning device of the type described above. The clamp 3 comprises a first clamp part 31 and a second clamp part 32, which are connected to one another in an articulated manner via a hinge. A tension lock 4 is arranged, via which the two clamp parts 31, 32 can be clamped against one another.
[0023] The tension lock 4 comprises a tensioning bracket 41 which is pivotally mounted on an arm 42 which is fastened to a clamp part 31. The tensioning bracket 41 is formed from a U-shaped bent sheet metal, between the legs of which a shaft 43 is rotatably mounted. A bore is made radially in the shaft 43, through which bore a threaded spindle 44 is guided. The end of the bore has a hammer head 45 which engages behind a receptacle 5 arranged on the second clamp part 32. The threaded spindle 44 is guided through the openings 15 of the two receptacle bodies 1 of the pretensioning device and through the spiral compression spring 2 arranged between them, after which a pretensioning screw 6 is screwed onto the threaded spindle 44.The preloading device is pressed against the shaft 43 via the preloading screw 6. Tightening the preloading screw 6 moves the receiving body 1 resting against the shaft 43 against the opposite receiving body 1, thereby increasingly tensioning the spiral compression spring 2. Adequate preload is achieved when the scales 13 of the webs 12 of the two receiving bodies 1—which are clearly visible from the outside—are aligned with each other.
