[0104] Below, some terms used in the embodiments of the present application are first explained to facilitate understanding by those skilled in the art.
[0105] 1. NTN
[0106] NTN refers to a network that utilizes radio frequency resources on satellites (or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) or high altitude platform stations (HAPS)). Compared to terrestrial cellular networks (e.g., 5th-generation mobile communication technology (5G)), NTN networks offer wide coverage, low latency, broadband, and low cost. As a supplement and extension of terrestrial cellular networks, NTN networks can achieve wide-area seamless coverage that neither wired telephone networks nor terrestrial mobile communication networks can achieve, effectively addressing internet access challenges in areas lacking communication infrastructure. With a large number of satellites deployed in low-Earth orbit, the round-trip data transmission delay between satellites and ground-based terminal devices is significantly reduced, reaching a low latency of tens of milliseconds. The use of technologies such as high-frequency bands, multi-spot beams, and frequency reuse significantly enhances satellite communication capabilities, reduces unit bandwidth costs, and meets the needs of high-information-rate services. Compared to communication infrastructure such as terrestrial cellular base stations and submarine fiber optic cables, NTNs offer significant cost advantages. Modern small satellites are inexpensive to develop and manufacture, and software-defined technologies can further extend the service life of in-orbit satellites. NTN networks can be used in scenarios such as global coverage (such as remote areas and ocean-going ships), emergency relief (such as disaster monitoring and emergency communications), the Internet of Everything, and high-speed mobility (such as high-speed rail and airplanes).
[0107] The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) began conducting satellite-ground integration research in R14, and discussed the role and advantages of satellites in 5G systems in TS22.261, stipulating for the first time that 5G supports satellite access. In R15, the first 5G and satellite integration technical report TR 38.811 was formed, which defined 8 eMBB scenarios and 2 massive machine-type communications (mMTC) scenarios, and defined the channel model of NTN. R16 further studied the architecture and solutions for NR to support NTN in TR 38.821. Based on the research results of R16, the standardization work of 5G new air interface support for NTN was launched in R17, and the first version of the integration technical specification was formed. R18 will continue the enhancement research of NTN.
[0108] Typical scenarios for NTN networks to provide user equipment access include transparent payloads and regenerative payloads. In the transparent payload scenario, there is no baseband demodulation, decoding, or other processing on the satellite. Therefore, the signal waveform remains unchanged and is repeated, as shown in Figure 2. In the regenerative payload scenario, the satellite (or UAS platform) has all or part of the base station functions (e.g., gNB), as shown in Figure 3. It should be noted that Figures 2 and 3 are only examples of NTN scenarios. NTN scenarios can also include other specific scenarios, which are not limited in this application.
[0109] NTN networks typically have the following elements:
[0110] 1. There are one or more gateways connecting the NTN network and the public data network.
[0111] 2. Feeder link: The wireless link between the gateway and the satellite (or UAS platform).
[0112] 3. Service link: The wireless link between the terminal device and the satellite (or UAS platform).
[0113] 4. Satellites (or UAS platforms) that can achieve transparent payloads and regenerative payloads.
[0114] 5. Whether a satellite constellation has an inter-satellite link (ISL) is optional. If an ISL is present, the satellites are regenerative payloads. ISLs can operate at radio frequency (RF) or optical bands.
[0115] 6. The terminal device is served by a satellite (or UAS platform) within the target service area.
[0116] 2. Satellite Spectrum
[0117] Satellite communications operate in the microwave band, which ranges from 1 GHz to 40 GHz. Frequency bands are categorized as L, S, C, X, Ku, K, and Ka. Different frequency bands serve different purposes. The K band is unsuitable for satellite communications because it falls within the frequency window most susceptible to atmospheric absorption losses. Therefore, the commonly used satellite communication frequency bands are L, S, C, X, Ku, and Ka.
[0118] The L and S bands are used for mobile satellite communications, such as handheld satellite phones. The C band has a relatively low frequency, resulting in wide signal coverage and minimal weather impact. It is commonly used for private network communications within government and businesses, international dedicated lines, and content distribution for television stations. The X band is a regulated band, typically used by government and military agencies and not for civilian or commercial use. The Ku band has a relatively high frequency and is susceptible to antenna fluctuations, but its signal strength is higher than that of the C band. Therefore, ground receiving antennas can be much smaller, typically as small as 0.35 meters in diameter, making it ideal for direct-to-home satellite TV broadcasts. The Ka band has been put into use in recent years. Because the C and Ku bands are nearing saturation and cannot carry more services, the search for the higher-frequency Ka band has begun.
[0119] Higher frequency bands offer greater bandwidth resources and support greater service capacity. With the surge in demand for satellite internet access in recent years, interest has shifted to the higher-frequency Ka-band. Although more susceptible to weather than the Ku-band, its larger operating bandwidth, higher signal strength, and smaller antenna aperture make it more valuable for development. Common satellite communication frequency bands and their primary uses are shown in Table 1.

[0123] For frequency bands above 10 GHz, the frequency range and band number of NTN are shown in Table 3.

[0125] 3. Inter-system interference
[0126] Inter-system interference can be divided into downlink interference and uplink interference according to the signal direction.
[0127] Downlink interference has the following characteristics:
[0128] 1. Fewer interference sources. Taking the case of a low-orbit satellite interfering with a ground terminal device as an example, as shown in Figure 4, the main interference source is satellite 1, which covers this terminal device. Satellite 2's interference to this terminal device mainly comes from side lobes, has greater path loss, and has a lower interference level.
[0129] 2. Since ground base stations / low-orbit satellites are closer to terminal devices, the interference is stronger.
[0130] Uplink interference has the following characteristics:
[0131] 1. Multiple interference sources: Taking the case of ground terminal equipment interfering with a low-orbit satellite as an example, as shown in Figure 5, the interference sources are all ground terminal equipment within the satellite's visual range;
[0132] 2. Strong aggregate interference: The main interference source is the terminal equipment near the main lobe of the satellite beam, where the satellite receiving gain is large.
[0133] 3. Beam level: For a single-satellite multi-beam scenario, different beam directions of the satellite are subject to different interference;
[0134] 4. Frequency selection characteristics: Interference signals present different interference characteristics in different frequency bands;
[0135] 5. Time-varying characteristics: The interference signal presents different interference characteristics at different times.
[0136] Inter-system interference can be divided into satellite-to-ground interference and high-orbit and low-orbit interference according to the interference scenario.
[0137] (1) Satellite-to-ground interference
[0138] Due to the large number of base stations and terminal devices in terrestrial cellular networks, and the fact that LEO satellites are closer to the ground and have less path loss, interference between LEO satellites and terrestrial cellular networks is likely to occur. Figure 6 shows the interference scenario between LEO satellites and terrestrial cellular networks, where solid lines represent valid signals, dashed lines represent interfering signals, and arrows indicate signal directions.
[0139] As shown in Table 4, interference situations can be divided into the following six categories.
[0140] Table 4 Classification of satellite-to-ground interference
[0141] (2) High and low orbit interference
[0142] High-orbit satellites cover a large area, and the coverage of low-orbit satellites can overlap with that of high-orbit satellites. Because low-orbit satellites have less path loss, interference between high-orbit and low-orbit satellites is more likely to occur. Figure 7 shows the interference scenario between low-orbit and high-orbit satellites. Solid lines represent valid signals, dashed lines represent interfering signals, and arrows indicate signal directions.
[0143] As shown in Table 5, interference situations can be divided into the following four categories.
[0144] Table 5 Classification of high and low orbit interference
[0145] Currently, to measure uplink interference, the frame structure is designed as shown in Figure 8. Time slot 0 is used for uplink interference measurement. That is, during this time slot, the satellite terminal does not transmit signals, and the satellite base station receives interference signals. Time slots 1 through 7 are used for signal transmission. That is, the satellite terminal transmits signals, and the satellite base station receives and filters out interference signals to form a valid signal. Time slot 0 occupies all frequency domain resources during this period, resulting in significant resource waste. Taking Figure 7 as an example, assuming that all frequency domain resources in time slots 1 through 7 are used for data scheduling, the time-frequency domain resources are wasted by 1 / 8, approximately 12.5%.
[0146] Based on the network system architecture shown in FIG1 and the contents of the above-mentioned related technical introduction, an uplink interference measurement method is provided in an embodiment of the present application. The execution subjects of each method are introduced by taking a network device and a terminal device as examples. For example, the network device may be 110a, 110b, and 110c in FIG1 . The terminal device may be 120a-120g in FIG1 . In addition, it should be understood that the network device may be replaced by a communication device having network device functions or a chip, unit, or module inside a communication device having network device functions. The terminal device may be replaced by a communication device having terminal device functions or a chip, unit, or module inside a communication device having terminal device functions. It is understood that the present application does not specifically limit the specific structure of the execution subject of the method provided in the embodiment of the present application. As long as it is possible to communicate according to the method provided in the embodiment of the present application by running a program that records the code of the method provided in the embodiment of the present application, the interaction between the terminal device and the network device will be explained as an example.
[0147] In this application, the names of the messages and resources in the following processes are merely examples. As communication technologies evolve, the names of the messages and resources in the following processes may change. However, regardless of how the names change, as long as their meanings are the same as the functions or meanings of the messages in this application, they fall within the scope of protection of this application. The order of the steps in the following processes is merely an example. In actual applications, the execution order of the steps in each process can be adjusted.
[0148] FIG9 exemplarily illustrates a possible flow diagram of an uplink interference measurement method provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG9 , the method includes:
[0149] Step 900: The network device sends first information to the terminal device. Correspondingly, the terminal device receives the first information from the network device.
[0150] Exemplarily, the first information is used to indicate at least one time-frequency resource, and I time-frequency resources in the at least one time-frequency resource occupy M consecutive time slots in the time domain and N consecutive resource blocks (resource blocks, RBs) in the frequency domain. Each of the I time-frequency resources includes K measurement resource blocks, and each measurement resource block occupies 1 time slot in the time domain and 1 RB in the frequency domain. The number of resource elements (REs) used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block is less than the total number of REs included in each measurement resource block, where M, N, K, and I are positive integers and K≤M*N.
[0151] Step 910: The network device measures the uplink interference signal on the resource element used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block. Accordingly, the terminal device does not send a signal on the resource element used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block.
[0152] It can be understood that the terminal device can send a signal to the network device on a resource unit other than the resource unit used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block, and then the network device can process the signal received on the resource unit other than the resource unit used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block based on the relevant information of the uplink interference signal measured on the resource unit used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block, so as to obtain a valid uplink signal.
[0153] Using the above method, the network device measures the uplink interference signal on the resource elements used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block, and the number of resource elements used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement resource block is less than the total number of resource elements included in each measurement resource block. Therefore, the above method can significantly reduce the resource overhead used for uplink interference measurement.
[0154] In one possible implementation, the first information includes S indication information, the S indication information corresponds one-to-one to S time-frequency resources, S is a positive integer greater than or equal to 1, and when the value of S is greater than or equal to 2, the S time-frequency resources are different from each other. That is, the first information can indicate S time-frequency resources, the value of S can be 1, or the value of S can also be greater than or equal to 2, when the value of S is greater than or equal to 2, the S time-frequency resources are different from each other, that is, the S indication information can be different from each other. At this time, the number of at least one time-frequency resource is S. Exemplarily, at least one time-frequency resource can be a non-periodic time-frequency resource. The network device can independently configure at least one time-frequency resource and generate an indication information for each time-frequency resource.
[0155] In another possible implementation, the first information includes one indication information and a period. The one indication information indicates one time-frequency resource, and the period is the period of the time-frequency resource indicated by the one indication information. In other words, the first information may indicate one time-frequency resource and the period of the time-frequency resource, that is, at least one time-frequency resource is a periodic time-frequency resource.
[0156] In addition, the first information may also indicate at least one time-frequency resource in other ways, which is not limited in this application.
[0157] The following description only takes the i-th time-frequency resource and the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource as an example, wherein the i-th time-frequency resource is any one of the I time-frequency resources, and i is any positive integer from 1 to I.
[0158] It can be understood that if the first information includes S indication information, the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource is one of the S indication information. If the number of at least one time-frequency resource indicated by the first information is different from the value of I, this application does not limit the specific form of the other time-frequency resources other than I time-frequency resources in the at least one time-frequency resource and the specific implementation method of the corresponding indication information. If the number of at least one time-frequency resource indicated by the first information is the same as the value of I, the specific implementation method of the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource and the other indication information other than the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource are similar, and they can refer to each other.
[0159] If the first information includes one indication specific information and a period, in this case, the i-th time-frequency resource can be the time-frequency resource indicated by the indication information or the time-frequency resource corresponding to any period, and the at least one time-frequency resource indicated by the first information is I time-frequency resources, and the number of the at least one time-frequency resource is the same as the value of I. If the time-frequency resource indicated by the one indication information is the i-th time-frequency resource, then the one indication information is the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource.
[0160] Unless otherwise specified, the specific implementation methods of the indication information in this application may refer to the following implementation methods of the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource.
[0161] In one possible implementation, among I time-frequency resources, the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource may include at least one of starting time slot indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource, starting resource block indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource, pattern indication information of REs used for uplink interference measurement, and pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource. Wherein, i is any positive integer between 1 and 1.
[0162] The following describes possible implementation methods for each of the above information:
[0163] (1) The starting time slot indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource and the starting resource block indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource
[0164] Exemplarily, the starting time slot indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource may include the index of the starting time slot of the i-th time-frequency resource, and the starting resource block indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource may include the index of the starting resource block of the i-th time-frequency resource.
[0165] It can be understood that if the first information includes S indication information, the starting time slot indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource is different from the starting time slot indication information of the p-th time-frequency resource, and the starting resource block indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource can be the same as or different from the starting resource block indication information of the p-th time-frequency resource. The i-th time-frequency resource and the p-th time-frequency resource both belong to S time domain resources, and p is a positive integer. In addition, the pattern indication information of the RE used for uplink interference measurement in the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource and the pattern indication information of the RE used for uplink interference measurement in the p-th time-frequency resource can be the same or different. The pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource in the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource and the pattern indication information of the p-th time-frequency resource in the p-th time-frequency resource can be the same or different.
[0166] (2) RE pattern indication information used for uplink interference measurement
[0167] Exemplarily, the pattern of REs used for uplink interference measurement is used to determine the position of the REs used for uplink interference measurement in the measurement resource block. In one example, the pattern indication information of the REs used for uplink interference measurement includes the number of symbols, the starting symbol offset, the number of subcarriers, and the starting subcarrier offset. Among them, the number of symbols is the number of symbols occupied by the REs used for uplink interference measurement in one time slot, and the number of subcarriers is the number of subcarriers occupied by the REs used for uplink interference measurement in 12 consecutive subcarriers included in one RB. The number of REs used for uplink interference measurement is the product of the number of symbols and the number of subcarriers. The starting symbol offset is the offset of the starting symbol of the REs used for uplink interference measurement. For example, the starting symbol offset is the offset of the starting symbol of the REs used for uplink interference measurement relative to symbol 0 or symbol 13. In this application, only symbol 0 is used as an example for explanation. The starting subcarrier offset is the offset of the starting subcarrier of the REs used for uplink interference measurement. For example, the starting subcarrier offset is the offset of the starting subcarrier where the RE used for uplink interference measurement is located relative to subcarrier 0 or subcarrier 11. In this application, only subcarrier 0 is used as an example for description.
[0168] For example, assuming that the pattern indication information of REs used for uplink interference measurement includes symbol number symb_num = 2, starting symbol offset symb_start = 3, subcarrier number subc_num = 4, and starting subcarrier offset subc_start = 4, the pattern of REs used for uplink interference measurement is shown in Figure 10. In Figure 10, the horizontal axis represents symbols and the vertical axis represents subcarriers. Since each measurement resource block occupies one time slot in the time domain and one RB in the frequency domain, each measurement resource block occupies a total of 14 consecutive symbols and a total of 12 consecutive subcarriers. Based on symbol number symb_num = 2 and subcarrier number subc_num = 4, the number of REs used for uplink interference measurement is 2*4 = 8. Based on starting symbol offset symb_start = 3 and starting subcarrier offset subc_start = 4, the specific positions of the eight REs used for uplink interference measurement can be determined.
[0169] In another example, the pattern indicating information for REs used for uplink interference measurement includes the number of symbols, the starting symbol offset, the comb tooth size, and the starting subcarrier offset. For details about the number of symbols, the starting symbol offset, and the starting subcarrier offset, please refer to the above description and will not be repeated here. The number of REs used for uplink interference measurement is determined based on the number of symbols and the comb tooth size.
[0170] For example, assuming that the pattern indication information of REs used for uplink interference measurement includes symbol number symb_num = 12, starting symbol offset symb_start = 0, comb tooth size comb_size = 12, and starting subcarrier offset subc_start = 0, the pattern of REs used for uplink interference measurement is shown in Figure 11. In Figure 11, the horizontal axis represents symbols and the vertical axis represents subcarriers. Since each measurement resource block occupies one time slot in the time domain and one RB in the frequency domain, each measurement resource block occupies a total of 14 consecutive symbols and a total of 12 consecutive subcarriers. In Figure 11, based on symbol number symb_num = 12 and comb tooth size comb_size = 12, the number of REs used for uplink interference measurement is 12. Based on starting symbol offset symb_start = 0, starting subcarrier offset subc_start = 0, and comb tooth size comb_size = 12, the specific positions of the 12 REs used for uplink interference measurement can be determined.
[0171] (3) Pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource
[0172] Exemplarily, the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is used to determine the positions of the K measurement resource blocks in the i-th time-frequency resource. The specific content included in the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource depends on how the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is determined.
[0173] Mode 1: If the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is pre-configured by the network device for the terminal device, the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource.
[0174] Exemplarily, the network device pre-configures W time-frequency resource patterns for the terminal device, where W is a positive integer, and the W time-frequency resource patterns include a pattern for the i-th time-frequency resource. The network device may send first information to the terminal device, where the first information includes indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource, the indication information corresponding to the i-th time-frequency resource includes pattern indication information for the i-th time-frequency resource, and the pattern indication information for the i-th time-frequency resource includes an index of the pattern for the i-th time-frequency resource.
[0175] Mode 2: The pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes parameters for determining the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource.
[0176] Exemplarily, the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource may include the number M of consecutive time slots occupied by the i-th time-frequency resource in the time domain, the number N of consecutive RBs occupied in the frequency domain, the number K of measurement resource blocks included in the i-th time-frequency resource, and relevant parameters used to indicate the positions of the K measurement resource blocks, etc.
[0177] Mode 3: The pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is determined according to the pattern of the repeated block in the i-th time-frequency resource, the number of repetitions C1 of the repeated block in the time domain, and the number of frequency domain repetitions C2 of the repeated block in the frequency domain.
[0178] A repetition block occupies m consecutive time slots in the time domain and n consecutive RBs in the frequency domain. The repetition block includes k measurement resource blocks. The repetition block pattern indicates the positions of the k measurement resource blocks in the repetition block. C1, C2, m, n, and k are positive integers, k ≤ m*n, M = m*C1, N = n*C2, and K = k*C1*C2.
[0179] As can be seen from the above-described method 3, the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is determined based on the pattern of the repetition block, the number of repetitions C1 of the repetition block in the time domain, and the number of frequency-domain repetitions C2 of the repetition block in the frequency domain. The number K of measurement resource blocks included in the i-th time-frequency resource is also determined based on the number k of measurement resource blocks included in the repetition block, the number of repetitions C1 of the repetition block in the time domain, and the number of frequency-domain repetitions C2 of the repetition block in the frequency domain.
[0180] In a possible implementation, the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes pattern indication information of a repetition block, a number of repetitions C1 of the repetition block in the time domain, and a number of repetitions C2 of the repetition block in the frequency domain.
[0181] It is understandable that the values of C1 and C2 can be configured in advance for the network device, or agreed upon through a protocol, or configured independently for each time-frequency resource, and this application does not limit this.
[0182] For example, the pattern indication information of the repeated block may be determined in the following manner, but not limited to:
[0183] In mode A, the repetitive block pattern indication information includes an index of the repetitive block pattern, or a parameter for determining the repetitive block pattern.
[0184] Exemplarily, the network device may configure at least one repetition block pattern for the terminal device in advance. Furthermore, the repetition block pattern indication information sent by the network device to the terminal device may include an index of the repetition block pattern. Alternatively, the repetition block pattern indication information sent by the network device to the terminal device may include parameters for determining the repetition block pattern. For example, the parameters for determining the repetition block pattern may include the number m of consecutive time slots occupied by the repetition block in the time domain, the number n of consecutive RBs occupied in the frequency domain, the number k of measurement resource blocks included in the repetition block, and related parameters for indicating the positions of the k measurement resource blocks, etc.
[0185] For example, the pattern indication information for the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the repetition block (IDX=1), the number of repetitions of the repetition block in the time domain C1=6, and the number of repetitions of the repetition block in the frequency domain C2=6. The pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is shown in Figure 12. In Figure 12, the horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents RBs. The repetition block corresponding to IDX=1 occupies 4 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m=4, and occupies 4 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n=4. The repetition block corresponding to IDX=1 includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, k=4. It can be obtained that the i-th time-frequency resource occupies 24 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, M=m*C1=4*6=24, and 24 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, N=n*C2=4*6=24. The i-th time-frequency resource includes 48 measurement resource blocks, that is, K=k*C1*C2=4*6*6=144.
[0186] For another example, the pattern indication information for the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the repetition block (IDX=2), the number of repetitions of the repetition block in the time domain C1=6, and the number of repetitions of the repetition block in the frequency domain C2=2. The pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is shown in Figure 13. In Figure 13, the horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents RBs. The repetition block corresponding to IDX=2 occupies 4 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m=4, and 12 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n=12. The repetition block corresponding to IDX=2 includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, k=4. It can be obtained that the i-th time-frequency resource occupies 24 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, M=m*C1=4*6=24, and 24 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, N=n*C2=12*2=24. The i-th time-frequency resource includes 48 measurement resource blocks, that is, K=k*C1*C2=4*6*2=48.
[0187] For example, it is assumed that the first information includes one indication information and a period. The pattern of the time-frequency resources indicated by the one indication information is shown in FIG13 , and the corresponding pattern of REs used for uplink interference measurement is shown in FIG10 . The period T is 100 time slots, and the total number of resources used for uplink interference measurement in a single period is 24*100*12*14=403200 REs, where 24 represents 24 RBs, which means that the time-frequency resources occupy 24 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, each RB includes 12 consecutive subcarriers, and 100 represents 100 time slots, which is the total number of time slots included in a single period, and each time slot includes 14 consecutive symbols.
[0188] As shown in FIG10 , the number of REs used for uplink interference measurement in each measurement block is 2*4=8. As shown in FIG13 , the time-frequency resources include 48 measurement resource blocks, and the total number of resources used for uplink interference measurement is 48*8=384 REs.
[0189] Therefore, the resource overhead of uplink interference measurement is only 384 / 403200=0.095%, which is 99.24% lower than 12.5% in the prior art, where 1-0.095 / 12.5=99.24%.
[0190] It can be understood that if the number of repetitions of the repetition block in the time domain C1=1 and the number of repetitions of the repetition block in the frequency domain C2=1, then the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is the pattern of the repetition block.
[0191] By adopting the above-mentioned method A, low-overhead design of resources can be achieved while reducing signaling overhead.
[0192] In mode B, the pattern indication information of the repeated block includes pattern indication information of the first time-frequency resource unit and pattern indication information of the second time-frequency resource unit. The pattern indication information of the first time-frequency resource unit includes an index of the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit or a parameter used to determine the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit, and the pattern indication information of the second time-frequency resource unit includes an index of the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit or a parameter used to determine the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit.
[0193] At this time, the pattern of the repeated block is determined according to the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit and the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit, wherein the first time-frequency resource unit occupies m1 consecutive time slots in the time domain and n1 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, the first time-frequency resource unit includes s1 measurement resource blocks, the second time-frequency resource unit occupies m2 consecutive time slots in the time domain and n2 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, the second time-frequency resource unit includes s2 measurement resource blocks, m1, m2, n1, n2, s1 and s2 are positive integers, k = s1*s2, m = m1*m2, n = n1*n2.
[0194] The pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit is used to indicate the positions of s1 measurement resource blocks in the first time-frequency resource unit, and the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit is used to indicate the positions of s2 measurement resource blocks in the second time-frequency resource unit. Exemplarily, in the second time-frequency resource unit, m2 = n2 = s2, and the s2 measurement resource blocks do not overlap in either the time domain or the frequency domain.
[0195] For example, the horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents RBs. FIG14 is a schematic diagram of a pattern of a first time-frequency resource unit, and FIG15 is a schematic diagram of a pattern of a second time-frequency resource unit. Where idx1 represents the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit, and idx2 represents the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit. idx2=0 indicates that the second time-frequency resource unit does not exist. In this case, the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit is the pattern of the repeated block.
[0196] The above method B is described in detail below with reference to specific examples:
[0197] Example a: Assume that the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit (idx1=0), the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit (idx2=10), the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the time domain C1=6, and the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the frequency domain C2=6.
[0198] The pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 14 and idx1 = 0, and the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 15 and idx2 = 10. Furthermore, a pattern of repeated blocks can be obtained, as shown in the upper figure of Figure 16. The horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents RBs. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1 = 0 occupies one time slot in the time domain, that is, m1 = 1, and occupies one RB in the frequency domain, that is, n1 = 1. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1 = 0 includes one measurement resource block, that is, s1 = 1. The second time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx2=10 occupies 4 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m2=4, and occupies 4 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n2=4. The second time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx2=10 includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, s2=4. It can be obtained that the repetition block occupies 4 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m=m1*m2=1*4=4, and occupies 4 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n=n1*n2=1*4=4. The repetition block includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, k=s1*s2=1*4=4.
[0199] Furthermore, the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is shown in the lower figure in 16. The i-th time-frequency resource occupies 24 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, M = m*C1 = 4*6 = 24, and 24 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, N = n*C2 = 4*6 = 24. The i-th time-frequency resource includes 144 measurement resource blocks, that is, K = k*C1*C2 = 4*6*6 = 144.
[0200] Example b: Assume that the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit (idx1=1), the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit (idx2=10), the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the time domain C1=6, and the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the frequency domain C2=2.
[0201] The pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 14 and idx1=1, and the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 15 and idx2=10. Furthermore, a pattern of repeated blocks can be obtained, as shown in the upper figure of Figure 17. The horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents RBs. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=1 occupies one time slot in the time domain, that is, m1=1, and occupies three consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n1=3. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=1 includes one measurement resource block, that is, s1=1. It can be obtained that the repetition block occupies 4 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m=m1*m2=1*4=4, and occupies 12 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n=n1*n2=3*4=12. The repetition block includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, k=s1*s2=1*4=4.
[0202] Furthermore, the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is shown in the lower figure in 17. The i-th time-frequency resource occupies 24 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, M = m*C1 = 4*6 = 24, and 24 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, N = n*C2 = 12*2 = 24. The i-th time-frequency resource includes 48 measurement resource blocks, that is, K = k*C1*C2 = 4*6*2 = 48.
[0203] Example c: Assume that the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit (idx1=2), the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit (idx2=14), the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the time domain C1=2, and the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the frequency domain C2=6.
[0204] The pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 14 and idx1=2, and the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 15 and idx2=14. Furthermore, a pattern of repeated blocks can be obtained, as shown in the upper figure of Figure 18. The horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents RBs. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=2 occupies 3 time slots in the time domain, that is, m1=3, and occupies 1 RB in the frequency domain, that is, n1=1. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=2 includes 1 measurement resource block, that is, s1=1. The second time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx2=14 occupies 4 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m2=4, and occupies 4 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n2=4. The second time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx2=10 includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, s2=4. It can be obtained that the repetition block occupies 12 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m=m1*m2=3*4=12, and occupies 4 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n=n1*n2=1*4=4. The repetition block includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, k=s1*s2=1*4=4.
[0205] Furthermore, the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is shown in the lower figure in 18. The i-th time-frequency resource occupies 24 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, M = m*C1 = 12*2 = 24, and 24 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, N = n*C2 = 4*6 = 24. The i-th time-frequency resource includes 48 measurement resource blocks, that is, K = k*C1*C2 = 4*2*6 = 48.
[0206] Example d: Assume that the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit (idx1=3), the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit (idx2=14), the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the time domain C1=2, and the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the frequency domain C2=2.
[0207] The pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 14 and idx1=3, and the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on Figure 15 and idx2=14. Furthermore, a pattern of repeated blocks can be obtained, as shown in the upper figure of Figure 19. The horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents RBs. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=3 occupies three consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m1=3, and occupies three consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n1=3. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=3 includes one measurement resource block, that is, s1=1. It can be obtained that the repetition block occupies 12 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, m=m1*m2=3*4=12, and occupies 12 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, n=n1*n2=3*4=12. The repetition block includes 4 measurement resource blocks, that is, k=s1*s2=1*4=4.
[0208] Furthermore, the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is shown in the lower figure in 19. The i-th time-frequency resource occupies 24 consecutive time slots in the time domain, that is, M = m*C1 = 12*2 = 24, and 24 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, N = n*C2 = 12*2 = 24. The i-th time-frequency resource includes 16 measurement resource blocks, that is, K = k*C1*C2 = 4*2*2 = 16.
[0209] Example e: Assume that the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit (idx1=4), the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit (idx2=0), the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the time domain C1=1, and the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the frequency domain C2=6. Alternatively, assume that the pattern indication information of the i-th time-frequency resource includes the index of the pattern of the repeated block (IDX=0), the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the time domain C1=1, and the number of repetitions of the repeated block in the frequency domain C2=6.
[0210] The pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit can be determined based on FIG14 and idx1=4, and idx2=0 indicates that the pattern of the second time-frequency resource unit is empty, which is recorded as 1. Furthermore, the pattern of the repeated block can be obtained, as shown in the upper figure in FIG20. It can be understood that when idx2=0, the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit is the pattern of the repeated block.
[0211] The horizontal axis represents time slots, and the vertical axis represents resource blocks (RBs). The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=4 occupies one time slot in the time domain, i.e., m1=1, and occupies two consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, i.e., n1=2. The first time-frequency resource unit corresponding to idx1=4 includes two measurement resource blocks, i.e., s1=2. Therefore, the repetition block occupies one time slot in the time domain, i.e., m=m1=1, and occupies two consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, i.e., n=n1=2. The repetition block includes two measurement resource blocks, i.e., k=s1=2.
[0212] Furthermore, the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource is shown in the lower figure in 20. The i-th time-frequency resource occupies 1 time slot in the time domain, that is, M = m*C1 = 1*1 = 1, and occupies 12 consecutive RBs in the frequency domain, that is, N = n*C2 = 2*6 = 12. The i-th time-frequency resource includes 12 measurement resource blocks, that is, K = k*C1*C2 = 2*1*6 = 12.
[0213] It should be understood that the above examples are merely examples and are not intended to limit the present application.
[0214] In one possible design, the pattern of the first time-frequency resource unit is determined according to the rate of change of the power of the uplink interference signal in the frequency domain and / or time domain.
[0215] For example, the rate of change of the uplink interference signal in the frequency domain can be determined based on the interference power corresponding to each adjacent RB. If the interference power corresponding to each adjacent RB is less than a first preset threshold, that is, the frequency-selective characteristic of the uplink interference is not obvious, the overhead of the measurement block in the frequency domain can be reduced by adjusting the pattern of the first time-frequency unit.
[0216] For example, assuming that the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource configured by the network device for the terminal device is shown in Figure 16, if the network device obtains the interference power corresponding to the adjacent RBs through measurement over a period of time, and determines that the frequency domain change rate of the interference power corresponding to the adjacent RBs is less than a first preset threshold based on the interference power corresponding to the adjacent RBs, the network device can reconfigure the time-frequency resources and reduce the overhead of the measurement block in the frequency domain by adjusting the pattern of the first time-frequency unit. For example, the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency unit is changed from idx1=0 to idx1=1, so that the pattern of the reconfigured time-frequency resources is as shown in Figure 17. Compared with Figure 16, the distribution of the measurement blocks in Figure 17 is sparser in the frequency domain, which can further save the resource overhead used for uplink interference measurement.
[0217] For example, the rate of change of the uplink interference signal in the time domain can be determined based on the interference power corresponding to adjacent time slots. If the interference power corresponding to adjacent time slots is less than a second preset threshold, that is, the time-varying characteristics of the uplink interference are not obvious, the overhead of the measurement block in the time domain can be reduced by adjusting the pattern of the first time-frequency unit.
[0218] Example 1: Assume that the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource configured by the network device for the terminal device is as shown in FIG16. If the network device obtains the interference power corresponding to each adjacent time slot through measurement over a period of time, and determines that the time-domain change rate of the interference power is less than a second preset threshold value based on the interference power corresponding to each adjacent time slot, the network device can reconfigure the time-frequency resources by adjusting the pattern of the first time-frequency unit to reduce the overhead of the measurement block in the time domain. For example, the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency unit is changed from idx1=0 to idx1=2, and the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency unit is changed from idx2=10 to idx2=14, so that the pattern of the reconfigured time-frequency resources is as shown in FIG18. Compared with FIG16, the distribution of the measurement blocks in FIG18 is sparser in the time domain, which can further save the resource overhead used for uplink interference measurement.
[0219] Example 2: Assume that the pattern of the i-th time-frequency resource configured by the network device for the terminal device is shown in Figure 16. If the network device determines through measurements over a period of time that the frequency domain change rate of the interference power is less than a first preset threshold and the time domain change rate of the interference power is less than a second preset threshold, the network device can reconfigure the time-frequency resources by adjusting the pattern of the first time-frequency unit to reduce the overhead of the measurement block in the time and frequency domains. For example, the index of the pattern of the first time-frequency unit is changed from idx1=0 to idx1=3, and the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency unit is changed from idx2=10 to idx2=14, so that the pattern of the reconfigured time-frequency resources is as shown in Figure 19. Compared with Figure 16, the distribution of the measurement blocks in Figure 19 is relatively sparse in both the time and frequency domains, which can further save the resource overhead used for uplink interference measurement.
[0220] It can be understood that in the above examples 1 and 2, changing the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency unit from idx2=10 to idx2=14 does not affect resource overhead, and the index of the pattern of the second time-frequency unit may not be modified.
[0221] Adopting the above-described method B can achieve low resource overhead and diversification, and can also reduce signaling overhead. The network device can select an appropriate pattern of the first resource unit and the second resource unit based on the results of the uplink interference measurement, thereby obtaining the desired repeated block and time-frequency resource pattern, optimizing resource allocation, and further reducing resource overhead.
[0222] In summary, in this application, the REs used for uplink interference measurement do not occupy the total number of REs included in each measurement resource block, making the RE distribution in the time-frequency domain sparse, which can reduce resource overhead. Furthermore, by configuring repeated blocks and setting the number of repetitions of repeated blocks in the time-frequency domain, the distribution of measurement blocks can be made to have the characteristics of longer time and more frequency bands. Therefore, it is possible to measure uplink interference signals in a larger range of time-frequency domains and obtain the statistical characteristics of uplink interference signals in the time-frequency domain.
[0223] In addition, uplink interference has beam-level characteristics, that is, for a single-satellite multi-beam scenario, the satellite is subject to different interference in different beam directions. Therefore, each time-frequency resource can be mapped to a beam direction. The beam direction here refers to the direction of the receiving beam of the network device. For example, the i-th time-frequency resource is associated with the j-th beam, and the network device measures the uplink interference on the i-th time-frequency resource, thereby obtaining the uplink interference measurement result in the beam direction of the j-th beam, where j is a positive integer.
