Abstract
Description
Battery string and photovoltaic module
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on August 22, 2023, with application number 202311061413.6 and invention name “A battery string and photovoltaic module”, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present application relates to the technical field of photovoltaic modules, and in particular to a battery string and a photovoltaic module. Background Art
[0003] A cell string, the core component of a photovoltaic module, converts solar energy into electricity. Typically, a cell string consists of multiple cells arranged in sequence. The cell surfaces are equipped with a main grid and fine grids, which collect the current generated by the cells. The main grid and fine grids are cross-connected, and the current collected by the fine grids is collected by the main grid to aggregate the current generated by the cells.
[0004] During the processing of the battery string, the slurry is usually printed on the surface of the battery cell by screen printing to form multiple fine grids and multiple main grids that are perpendicular to each other on the surface of the battery cell. The current generated by the battery cell is collected and aggregated by the multiple fine grids and multiple main grids in order to collect the current generated by the entire battery cell. However, setting multiple main grids and multiple fine grids on the surface of the battery cell requires a large amount of slurry, which increases the cost of the battery cell. In addition, the fine grids and main grids will block the upper surface of the battery cell, affecting the efficiency of the upper surface of the battery cell in absorbing light, thereby affecting the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the battery cell.
[0005] In related technologies, in order to reduce the production cost of solar cells and improve the photovoltaic conversion efficiency of solar cells, only fine grids are provided on the surface of the solar cells, and welding ribbons are placed at the main grid position. The welding ribbons connect the fine grids and the current collected by the fine grids is aggregated.
[0006] However, since the soldering ribbon cannot cover the entire surface of the cell along its extension direction, the fine grids on both sides of the cell surface may not be connected to the soldering ribbon along its extension direction, resulting in the current collected by some fine grids being unable to be collected on the soldering ribbon, affecting the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the cell.

[0044] As shown in Figures 1 to 4, an embodiment of the present application provides a battery string, comprising: a first connecting wire 30, and a first battery cell 10 and a second battery cell electrically connected by the first connecting wire 30. The first connecting wire 30 extends along a first direction K on a first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10, and the first battery cell 10 has a first edge 13 and a second edge 14 opposite each other along the first direction K. A first terminal wire 40 extending along the first direction K is provided on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10, and the first terminal wire 40 is close to the first edge 13 and away from the second edge 14. A portion of the first connecting wire 30 extends onto the first terminal wire 40 to form an overlapping portion, and the ratio of the length of the overlapping portion to the length of the first terminal wire 40 is less than or equal to 80%. This ensures sufficient current collection for the fine grid at the edge, while ensuring that the solder ribbon does not extend beyond the edge of the battery cell and cause a short circuit. Preferably, the length of the overlapping portion accounts for 40% to 80% of the length of the first terminal wire 40.
[0045] The battery string disclosed in the embodiment of the present application is configured by providing a first terminal line 40 extending along a first direction K on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10, and the first terminal line 40 is close to the first edge 13 of the first battery cell 10 and away from the second edge 14. The first connecting line 30 extends along the first direction K on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10, and a portion of the first connecting line 30 is extended to the first terminal line 40 to form an overlapping portion, and the ratio of the length of the overlapping portion to the length of the first terminal line 40 is less than or equal to 80%. Thus, the current generated in the area near the first edge 13 of the first battery cell 10 can be collected by the first terminal line 40 to improve the photoelectric conversion efficiency of the battery cell. Furthermore, through the above-mentioned configuration, the current collected by the fine grid 20 around the first edge 13 can be fully collected, and at the same time, it can be ensured that the first connecting line 30 does not extend out of the first edge 13 of the first battery cell 10, causing a short circuit in the battery string.
[0046] Optionally, the length of the overlapping portion accounts for 40% to 80% of the length of the first terminal line 40 .
[0047] An embodiment of the present application provides a battery string, comprising a first battery cell 10 and a second battery cell spaced apart from each other, with a first gap between the first battery cell 10 and the second battery cell. The first battery cell 10 and the second battery cell each comprise a first surface and a second surface disposed opposite each other, with the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 and the first surface of the second battery cell oriented in the same direction.
[0048] The first battery cell 10 has a first edge 13 and a second edge 14 opposite to each other along the first direction K. A first terminal line 40 extending along the first direction K is provided on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 . The first terminal line 40 is close to the first edge 13 and away from the second edge 14 .
[0049] As shown in Figure 3, the first connecting wire 30 extends along the first surface 11 of the first cell 10 in a first direction K. A portion of the first connecting wire 30 extends onto the first terminal line 40 and overlaps with the first terminal line 40. The overlapping portion accounts for 40% to 80% of the length of the first terminal line 40. The other end of the first connecting wire 30 extends to the second edge 14 of the first cell 10 and passes through the first gap to connect to the second surface of the second cell. Thus, the first cell 10 and the second cell are electrically connected via the first connecting wire 30.
[0050] For example, the length of the overlapping portion of the first connecting line 30 and the first terminal line 40 can account for 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, etc. of the length of the first terminal line 40. This application does not impose any specific restrictions on this, and in actual use, technicians can set it as needed.
[0051] It should be noted that both the first connecting wire 30 and the first terminal wire 40 in the embodiment of the present application are electrically conductive. The first connecting wire 30 may be a welding ribbon, welding rod, or the like. Alternatively, a metal paste may be screen-printed onto the first surface 11 of the first cell 10 near the first edge 13 to form the first terminal wire 40 on the first surface 11 of the first cell 10.
[0052] Of course, the above is merely an example of the first connecting wire 30 and one method of forming the first terminal wire 40, and is not intended to limit the present application. In actual use, technicians can select an appropriate first connecting wire 30 as needed, and at the same time, select an appropriate method to place the first terminal wire 40 on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 as needed.
[0053] The battery string provided in the embodiments of the present application is configured by disposing a first terminal line 40 extending along a first direction K on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10, with the first terminal line 40 being close to the first edge 13 of the first battery cell 10 and away from the second edge 14. A first connecting line 30 extends along the first direction K on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10, with a portion of the first connecting line 30 extending onto the first terminal line 40 to form an overlapping portion, with the length of the overlapping portion accounting for 40% to 80% of the length of the first terminal line 40. This allows the first terminal line 40 to collect current generated in the area of the first battery cell 10 near the first edge 13, thereby improving the photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the battery cell.
[0054] As an optional implementation, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 , there are multiple first connecting wires 30 and multiple first terminal wires 40 , and the first connecting wires 30 and the first terminal wires 40 are arranged in a one-to-one correspondence.
[0055] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figures 1 and 3 , multiple first connection wires 30 and multiple first terminal wires 40 are provided, and each first connection wire 30 is provided corresponding to a first terminal wire 40. Current generated in the area of the first battery cell 10 near the first edge 13 is collected by the multiple first terminal wires 40 and the collected current is conducted to the corresponding first connection wires 30.
[0056] As an optional embodiment, as shown in Figures 1 to 4, the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 is further provided with a plurality of fine grids 20 extending along the second direction H and spaced apart along the first direction K; wherein the second direction H intersects with the first direction K; the first end line 40 only connects a portion of the plurality of fine grids 20 close to the first edge 13, and the first end line 40 connects the fine grid 20 closest to the first edge 13.
[0057] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figures 1 to 4 , a plurality of fine grids 20 extending along the second direction H and spaced apart along the first direction K are further provided on the first surface 11 of the first cell 10. The plurality of fine grids 20 can collect the current generated on the first surface 11 of the first cell 10.
[0058] The second direction H intersects the first direction K. Specifically, the second direction H may be perpendicular to the first direction K. That is, each first connection line 30 is cross-connected with a plurality of fine grids 20 , so that the current generated by the plurality of fine grids 20 can be collected through the first connection line 30 , thereby collecting the current generated on the first surface 11 of the first solar cell 10 .
[0059] To prevent the first connecting wire 30 from electrically connecting to other connecting wires, which could cause a short circuit in the battery string, a gap is provided between the first connecting wire 30 and the first edge 13 of the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10. The first connecting wire 30 cannot extend to the first edge 13 of the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10. Therefore, multiple first terminal wires 40 are provided on the side of the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 near the first edge 13. The first terminal wires 40 connect to a portion of the fine grids 20 near the first edge 13, and the first terminal wires 40 connect to the fine grids 20 closest to the first edge 13. The first terminal wires 40 collect the current generated by the portion of the fine grids 20 near the first edge 13 through the first terminal wires 40. The collected current is then conducted to the corresponding first connecting wires 30, thereby improving the photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the battery cell.
[0060] As an optional embodiment, as shown in FIG. 7 , a bonding layer 31 is provided on the first connection line 30 , and the first connection line 30 is connected to at least a portion of the fine gate 20 through the bonding layer 31 .
[0061] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in FIG7 , a bonding layer 31 is provided on the first connecting line 30. The bonding layer 31 is conductive, and the first connecting line 30 is connected to at least a portion of the fine gate 20 through the bonding layer 31, so that the portion of the fine gate 20 and the first connecting line 30 are electrically connected, and the current collected by the portion of the fine gate 20 is collected by the first connecting line 30.
[0062] For example, when the first connection line 30 is a soldering ribbon, the bonding layer 31 may be a tin layer, and the soldering ribbon is connected to at least a portion of the tin layer through the tin layer.
[0063] Of course, in the embodiment of the present application, there is no specific limitation on the first connecting line 30 and the bonding layer 31. In actual use, technicians can select appropriate first connecting line 30 and bonding layer 31 as needed.
[0064] As an optional embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 , the first connecting wire 30 is fixed to the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 through a plurality of discrete glue dots 50 .
[0065] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figures 1 and 3, a plurality of glue dots 50 are arranged at intervals on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 along the first direction K, and each glue dot 50 is at least partially arranged between two adjacent fine grids 20, so that a first connecting wire 30 is fixed to the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 through the plurality of glue dots 50.
[0066] It should be noted that the plurality of first connecting wires 30 in the embodiment of the present application can be fixed on the first surface of the first battery cell 10 in the above manner, thereby forming a plurality of discrete glue dots 50 on the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 .
[0067] As an optional embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 , the length of the first terminal line 40 is less than 1 / 4 of the projected length of the first connecting line 30 on the first battery cell 10 .
[0068] Typically, the first terminal wire 40 is screen-printed with metal paste on the first surface 11 of the first cell 10, near the first edge 13. Therefore, in the embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figures 1 and 3 , the length of the first terminal wire 40 is set to be less than 1 / 4 of the projected length of the first connecting wire 30 on the first cell 10. This reduces the amount of metal paste used and lowers the production cost of the battery string.
[0069] For example, the length of the first terminal line 40 can be set to 1 / 5 of the length of the first connecting line 30 projected on the first battery cell 10, or the length of the first terminal line 40 can be set to 1 / 6 of the length of the first connecting line 30 projected on the first battery cell 10, and so on. This application does not impose any specific restrictions on this, and in actual use, technicians can set it as needed.
[0070] As an optional implementation, as shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4 , only one glue dot 50 is provided on the overlapping portion, and the glue dot 50 is a first glue dot 51 .
[0071] In the embodiment of the present application, as shown in Figures 1 to 4 , only one glue point 50 is provided at the overlapping portion of the first connecting wire 30 and the first terminal wire 40. This glue point 50 is referred to as a first glue point 51. The first glue point 51 adheres one end of the first connecting wire 30 to a side of the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 near the first edge 13, partially overlapping the first terminal wire 40. The first glue point 51 secures one end of the first connecting wire 30 and simultaneously electrically connects the first connecting wire 30 and the first terminal wire 40.
[0072] As an optional embodiment, as shown in Figures 3 and 4, the distance between the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 close to the first edge 13 is a first distance, and the distance between the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 away from the first edge 13 is a second distance, wherein the ratio of the first distance to the second distance is 1:5 to 2:1.
[0073] As shown in Figures 3 and 4, in the embodiment of the present application, the distance between the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 close to the first edge 13 is set to a first distance, and the distance between the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 away from the first edge 13 is set to a second distance. The ratio of the first distance to the second distance is set to between 1:5 and 2:1. For example, the ratio of the first distance to the second distance can be 1:4, 1:3, 1:2, 1:1, 3:2, 8:5, 2:1, etc.
[0074] It should be noted that, along a direction perpendicular to the plane of the first cell 10, the first glue dot 51 can be circular, square, rectangular, etc. For example, when the first glue dot 51 is circular, the diameter of the first glue dot 51 can be 1.1 mm. The first distance refers to the distance between the center of the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 closer to the first edge 13, while the second distance refers to the distance between the center of the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 farther from the first edge 13.
[0075] When the first glue dot 51 is rectangular, the size of the first glue dot 51 can be 1 mm by 1.2 mm. The first distance refers to the distance between the center of the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 closer to the first edge 13. The second distance refers to the distance between the center of the first glue dot 51 and the end of the first end line 40 farther from the first edge 13.
[0076] As an optional embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 , the first surface 11 of the first battery cell 10 further includes a second terminal line 41 close to the second edge 14 , and the second terminal line 41 is completely covered by the first connection line 30 .
[0077] As shown in FIG1 and FIG3 , in the embodiment of the present application, a second termination line 41 is provided on a side of the first surface 11 of the first cell 10 near the second edge 14. The second termination line 41 extends along a first direction K and extends to the fine grid 20 closest to the second edge 14. Thus, the second termination line 41 can collect current collected by the fine grid 20 in the area near the second edge 14 of the first surface 11 of the first cell 10.
[0078] The second terminal line 41 is completely covered by the first connecting line 30 . That is, the second terminal line 41 is connected to the first connecting line 30 , so that the current collected by the second terminal line 41 can be conducted to the first connecting line 30 .
[0079] It should be noted that the second terminal line 41 in the embodiment of the present application is conductive and can be formed by screen printing a metal paste on the first surface 11 of the first cell 10, near the second edge 14, to form the second terminal line 41 on the first surface 11 of the first cell 10. As an optional embodiment, as shown in FIG1 , at least one glue dot 50 is provided on the second terminal line 41.
