Abstract
Description
Dust collection and denitrification equipment and environmental systems including the same
[0001] The present invention relates to a dust collection and denitrification facility and an environmental system including the same, and more specifically, to a dust collection and denitrification facility that collects and denitrifies exhaust gas discharged from a boiler or a combustion furnace, and an environmental system including the same.
[0002] As regulations on environmental pollution become more stringent, research and development and deployment of environmental systems that can reduce pollutant emissions in various processes, such as power generation, incineration, and combustion, are increasing. Environmental systems can be systems that remove pollutants from exhaust gas generated from boilers by creating a path for exhaust gas to be discharged to the outside air.
[0003] Figure 9 is a conceptual diagram schematically showing a conventional environmental system.
[0004] As illustrated in Fig. 9, in a conventional environmental system, exhaust gas generated from an incinerator (1) and a waste heat boiler (3) is discharged to the outside through a chimney (11). At this time, a Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR, 2) device is connected to the incinerator (1), and a first economizer (4), a desulfurization facility (5), a dust collector (6), a heater (7), a denitrification facility (8), a second economizer (9), and a wet scrubber (10) may be sequentially arranged between the waste heat boiler (3) and the chimney (11). At this time, the desulfurization facility (5) performs a desulfurization process of the exhaust gas. In addition, the dust collector (6) performs a dust removal process of the exhaust gas exhausted from the desulfurization facility (5), so that the denitrification facility (8) removes NOx from the exhaust gas and the exhaust gas is discharged through the chimney (11). However, in the case where the denitrification facility (8) is placed in front of the chimney (11), the temperature of the exhaust gas in the denitrification facility (8) must be increased by using a heater (7). More specifically, the temperature of the exhaust gas provided to the denitrification facility (8) may be 160 to 170 degrees. However, the filter installed in the denitrification facility (8) is capable of denitrification at a temperature of 200 degrees, so the temperature of the exhaust gas must be increased by the heater (7) to enable denitrification of NOx in the denitrification facility (8). Therefore, in the conventional environmental system, there was a problem that energy waste inevitably occurred to increase the temperature of the exhaust gas.
[0005] The purpose of the present invention is to provide a dust collection and denitrification facility capable of performing dust collection and denitrification processes on exhaust gas having a temperature of 170 degrees or less, and an environmental system including the same.
[0006] An environmental system according to the present invention includes a desulfurization facility that performs desulfurization of exhaust gas provided from a boiler and a plurality of dust collection and denitrification facilities that perform dust collection and denitrification of exhaust gas provided from the desulfurization facility, wherein the dust collection and denitrification facility includes a main body into which exhaust gas flows from the desulfurization facility, a dust collection unit that forms a lower region of the main body and performs dust collection of exhaust gas provided from the desulfurization facility in a bag filter manner, and a denitrification unit that forms an upper region of the main body and includes a honeycomb filter to perform denitrification of exhaust gas provided from the dust collection unit.
[0007] The above environmental system further includes a selective non-catalytic reduction device provided in the waste heat boiler of the boiler and supplying a reducing agent to the exhaust gas of the waste heat boiler, and the selective non-catalytic reduction device can inject the reducing agent at a location where the temperature of the exhaust gas is 850 degrees or higher.

[0009] The above environmental system may further include a reducing agent injection unit that additionally injects reducing agent into a section where the temperature of the exhaust gas is 300 to 400 degrees between the waste heat boiler and the desulfurization facility.
[0010] The above dust collection and denitrification equipment further includes a reducing agent injection unit that injects a reducing agent toward the honeycomb filter from the lower side of the honeycomb filter, and the reducing agent injected from the reducing agent injection unit may be heated in advance and vaporized in advance.
[0011] The above dust collection and denitrification equipment further includes a contaminant removal unit provided between the honeycomb filter and the dust collection unit, and the contaminant removal unit is connected to a compressed air unit that supplies compressed air and a reducing agent supply unit that supplies a reducing agent, so that the compressed air or the reducing agent can be sprayed inside the dust collection and denitrification equipment.
[0012] The above-mentioned contaminant removal unit can remove contaminants in the dust collection unit by spraying the compressed air to the dust collection unit, or can diffuse the reducing agent between the honeycomb filter and the dust collection unit.
[0013] The above plurality of dust collection and denitrification facilities can independently control the flow of exhaust gas flowing into the inside, and when a dust collection and denitrification facility among the plurality of dust collection and denitrification facilities requires removal of pollutants in the dust collection section, the exhaust gas flow of the dust collection and denitrification facility requiring removal of pollutants can be blocked while maintaining operation of the entire system, and the compressed air can be injected into the inside of the dust collection and denitrification facility requiring removal of pollutants.
[0014] The above honeycomb filter is manufactured using a catalyst powder method and can remove NOx from exhaust gas having a temperature of 170 degrees or less.
[0015] The above honeycomb filter is manufactured using a catalyst powder method and is capable of removing NOx from exhaust gas having a temperature of 170 degrees or less through cleaning and coating operations, and can be regenerated through the cleaning and coating operations. In the cleaning operation, a cleaning material such as dry ice pellets can be sprayed onto the filter, and in the coating operation, a catalytically active material including a vanadium oxide aqueous solution can be coated.
[0016] The above plurality of dust collection and denitrification facilities can independently control the flow of exhaust gas flowing into the inside, and when a dust collection and denitrification facility among the plurality of dust collection and denitrification facilities requires regeneration of the honeycomb filter, the cleaning and coating work can be performed while blocking the exhaust gas flow of the dust collection and denitrification facility requiring regeneration of the honeycomb filter while maintaining the operation of the entire system.
[0017] Meanwhile, the dust collection and denitrification equipment according to the present invention comprises a main body connected to a desulfurization equipment that performs desulfurization of exhaust gas provided from a boiler, a lower region of the main body, a dust collection unit that performs dust collection of exhaust gas provided from the desulfurization equipment in a bag filter manner, and a denitrification unit that forms an upper region of the main body and performs denitrification of exhaust gas provided from the dust collection unit, including a honeycomb filter.

[0031] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings. However, the present embodiments are not limited to the embodiments disclosed below and may be implemented in various forms. These embodiments are provided only to ensure that the disclosure of the present invention is complete and to fully inform those skilled in the art of the scope of the invention. The shapes of elements in the drawings may be exaggerated for clearer explanation, and elements indicated by the same reference numerals in the drawings represent the same elements.
[0032] Fig. 1 is a conceptual diagram schematically illustrating an environmental system according to the present embodiment, and Fig. 2 is a conceptual diagram illustrating a dust collection and denitrification facility of the environmental system according to the present embodiment. In addition, Fig. 3 is a conceptual diagram illustrating a honeycomb filter installed in the dust collection and denitrification facility of the environmental system according to the present embodiment.
[0033] As illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3, the environmental system (1000) according to the present embodiment forms a path through which exhaust gas discharged from a boiler (100) in various processes such as a power generation process, an incineration process, and a combustion process is discharged through a chimney (600).
[0034] First, the boiler (100) includes an incinerator (110) and a waste heat boiler (130), and a combustion space in which a burner is installed can be formed inside. Fuel can be supplied to the burner in the boiler (100), and air can be introduced into the combustion space. Accordingly, the boiler (100) generates steam using the thermal energy of the combustion space. At this time, the fuel supplied to the boiler (100) may be fossil fuels such as pulverized coal or heavy oil, biomass fuel, waste, etc., but is not limited thereto.
[0035] For example, when the boiler (100) uses pulverized coal as a fossil fuel, the burner is configured as a pulverized coal burner to inject air and pulverized coal into the combustion space. Accordingly, the pulverized coal dispersed in the combustion space is allowed to be combusted in the space in a suspended state. At this time, the pulverized coal burner may be a low NOx burner to which a NOx combustion method is applied, but is not limited thereto.
[0036] Meanwhile, a Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) device (120) may be connected to the boiler (100). The Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction device (120) is connected to a waste heat boiler (130). This Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction device (120) injects a reducing agent into the interior of the waste heat boiler (130) to remove NOx at high temperatures.
[0037] For example, reducing agents include urea, anhydrous ammonia (NH3), and aqueous ammonia ( ) may be included. The urea solution has low chemical costs, simple storage facilities, easy handling, and is not subject to environmental regulations. In addition, anhydrous ammonia solution has the advantage of low chemical costs, low energy consumption, low transportation frequency, and small storage facilities, which require less land for injection facilities. In addition, ammonia solution can be stored and transported under atmospheric pressure, so it is safer than anhydrous ammonia, and the simple storage facilities make it suitable for installation in densely populated areas. Therefore, in this embodiment, urea solution, anhydrous ammonia, and ammonia solution can be selectively used.
[0038] Meanwhile, in this embodiment, it is described that the selective non-catalytic reduction device (120) is connected to the waste heat boiler (130), but the selective non-catalytic reduction device (120) may be installed inside the waste heat boiler (130) to perform primary denitrification of exhaust gas.
[0039] And, a fuel economizer (200) may be provided in the path of exhaust gas provided from the boiler (100) to the environmental system (1000). The fuel economizer (200) may heat the feed water of the boiler (100) based on the heat of the exhaust gas.
[0040] Meanwhile, the environmental system (1000) may include a desulfurization facility (300) and a dust collection and denitrification facility (400). However, this is for the purpose of explaining the present embodiment, and the configuration of the environmental system (1000) is not limited.
[0041] First, the desulfurization facility (300) is placed between the economizer (200) and the dust collection and denitrification facility (400) to remove sulfur oxides from the exhaust gas that has passed through the economizer (200) from the boiler (100). For example, the exhaust gas discharged from the boiler (100) may contain a large amount of sulfur oxides due to the combustion of sulfur components in fossil fuels. Accordingly, the desulfurization facility (300) removes sulfur oxides contained in the exhaust gas, thereby allowing the exhaust gas to be provided to a plurality of dust collection and denitrification facilities (400).
[0042] Each dust collection and denitrification facility (400) independently collects and denitrifies exhaust gas provided from the desulfurization facility (300).
[0043] This dust collection and denitrification facility (400) performs dust collection of exhaust gas in the lower region (hereinafter referred to as dust collection section (410)) where exhaust gas is supplied from the desulfurization facility (300). In addition, the dust collection and denitrification facility (400) performs denitrification of exhaust gas in the upper region (hereinafter referred to as denitrification section (430)) so that the exhaust gas is supplied to the chimney (600) through the wet scrubbing tower (500).
[0044] The dust collection unit (410) performs dust collection using a bag filter method, and the denitrification unit (430) performs denitrification based on a selective catalytic reduction filter (hereinafter referred to as a honeycomb filter (431)) whose cross-section in the height direction has a honeycomb shape.
[0045] Typically, as shown in Fig. 9, incinerators, biomass boilers, and coal-fired power plants, a separate dust collection facility (6) and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) denitrification facility (8) are installed before the chimney (11) to perform the denitrification process. At this time, since the exhaust gas provided to the denitrification facility (8) has a temperature of 160 to 170 degrees, in order to perform the denitrification process of the exhaust gas, it is necessary to heat the exhaust gas to 200 degrees, which enables low-temperature denitrification catalyst operation, using an additional energy source. Therefore, a heater (7) is essential between the dust collection facility (6) and the denitrification facility (8).
[0046] However, the dust collection and denitrification facility (400) according to the present embodiment performs dust collection and denitrification in a single facility, and in particular, denitrification of exhaust gas having a temperature of 170 degrees or less is possible by means of a honeycomb filter (431). Accordingly, the environmental system (1000) according to the present embodiment can reduce energy waste for increasing the temperature of exhaust gas by simplifying the system while enabling denitrification of exhaust gas having a temperature of 170 degrees or less.
[0047] In addition, in the case where the dust collection facility (6) and the denitrification facility (8) are separately configured as in the past, additional land is required and the exhaust gas must pass through 2 to 3 layers of filters provided inside the denitrification facility (8). Accordingly, a pressure loss of 150 to 200 mmH2O occurs in the heater (7), the filter layer, and the secondary economizer (9), resulting in power loss. However, the dust collection and denitrification facility (400) according to the present embodiment can reduce the pressure loss to 50 mmH2O or less by directly mounting the honeycomb filter (431) on the upper portion of the dust collection unit (410).
[0048] Meanwhile, the manufacturing of a honeycomb filter (431) will be described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings.
[0049] Fig. 4 is a flow chart showing a cleaning process in the honeycomb filter manufacturing process of the denitrification equipment according to the present embodiment, and Fig. 5 is a flow chart showing a filter coating process in the honeycomb filter manufacturing process of the denitrification equipment according to the present embodiment.
[0050] As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the honeycomb filter (431) according to the present embodiment is manufactured using a catalyst powder method.
[0051] Typically, manufacturing ultra-low-temperature catalyst filters requires the addition of a high concentration of vanadium, typically 3-6%. However, if the vanadium content exceeds 3%, excessive vanadium addition can lead to self-ignition and other problems during the drying and calcination processes of the catalyst filter, resulting in numerous cracks in the catalyst layer. This inevitably leads to quality degradation during the manufacturing process.
[0052] Accordingly, the production of ultra-low-temperature catalyst filters employs easy-to-manufacture pellet-type catalyst filters. However, pellet-type catalyst filters are virtually impossible to remove when the catalyst is poisoned. Consequently, pellet-type catalyst filters are non-regenerable, requiring continuous replacement, resulting in significant costs.
[0053] However, the honeycomb filter (431) according to the present embodiment is manufactured using a catalyst powder method. At this time, the honeycomb filter (431) can be produced as a new catalyst filter through a catalyst powder manufacturing process, a clay manufacturing process, an extrusion process, and a drying and firing process.
[0054] And, in order to convert the new catalyst filter manufactured using the catalyst powder method into a honeycomb filter (431) applicable to industry, a cleaning operation (S100) and a coating operation (S200) of the new catalyst filter are performed.
[0055] First, the cleaning process involves transporting the new catalyst filter to the work environment (S110). For example, the work environment may be a designated work location where the new catalyst filter will be cleaned. If necessary, the cleaning process may be performed while the new catalyst filter is mounted on the denitrification unit (430).
[0056] Thereafter, cleaning of the new catalyst filter is performed based on a cleaning agent such as dry ice pellets (S120). At this time, dry ice pellets are sprayed toward the new catalyst filter based on compressed air, and the spray pressure of the dry ice pellets may be 4 to 8 bar, but is not limited thereto. However, if the compressed air is sprayed at a pressure below the set range, the cleaning of the new catalyst filter may not be performed smoothly, and if the compressed air is sprayed at a pressure above the set range, the new catalyst filter may be damaged.
[0057] In this cleaning process, as dry ice pellets and compressed air are sprayed toward the honeycomb of the novel catalyst filter, manufacturing residues remaining in the pores of the novel catalyst filter can be crushed and removed based on the kinetic energy of the collision with the dry ice pellets. Here, the manufacturing residues remaining in the pores of the novel catalyst filter may be, but are not limited to, contaminants remaining during the production process of the novel catalyst filter, such as binders.
[0058] Meanwhile, as dry ice pellets are sprayed, fine dry ice particles within the honeycomb of the novel catalyst filter penetrate and sublimate (expand 500 to 800 times in volume), and manufacturing residues are discharged from the pores to the outside. In other words, manufacturing residues within the pores can be discharged to the outside by the instantaneous vacuum formed by the dry ice particles rapidly passing between the inner walls of the honeycomb.
[0059] After the cleaning process for the new catalyst filter is completed, a coating process is performed. In the coating process, a catalytically active material is coated on the new catalyst filter and heated to manufacture a honeycomb filter (430). Here, the catalytically active material may include an aqueous vanadium oxide solution.
[0060] In the coating process for a new catalyst filter, the new catalyst filter is transported to a working environment (S210). However, the coating process for the new catalyst filter may be performed in an environment identical to the cleaning environment, and, if necessary, may be performed while the new catalyst filter is mounted on a denitrification unit (430).
[0061] Afterwards, the catalytically active material is sprayed toward the new catalyst filter (S220). Then, the new catalyst filter coated with the catalytically active material can be dried and calcined through heating (S230). For example, if the new catalyst filter is not mounted on the denitrification unit (430), that is, if the coating is performed in a separate working environment, the drying and calcining process is performed using a separate heating device or by moving the new catalyst filter to a heated environment. As another example, if the new catalyst filter is mounted on the denitrification unit (430), the drying and calcining of the new catalyst filter can be performed by operating the boiler (1000) connected to the environmental system (1000) without requiring a separate drying and calcining process. In addition, even if the coating is performed when the new catalyst filter is not mounted on the denitrification unit (430), the drying and calcining of the new catalyst filter can be performed by mounting the coated new catalyst filter on the denitrification unit (430) and operating the boiler (100).
[0062] Accordingly, the novel catalyst filter manufactured using the catalyst powder method can be converted into a honeycomb filter (431) suitable for low-temperature denitrification at 170 degrees or lower by completing drying and calcination after washing with dry ice pellets and coating with vanadium oxide.
[0063] When regeneration is required due to poisoning, the honeycomb filter (431) can be regenerated by sequentially performing the above-described cleaning process and coating process.
[0064] Meanwhile, referring again to FIGS. 1 to 3, the denitrification unit (430) of the dust collection and denitrification facility (400) requires a reducing agent in the process of removing NOx.
[0065] Conventionally, the supply of a reducing agent is performed upstream of the dust collector (6), as shown in Fig. 9. That is, the reducing agent is directly injected into the exhaust gas provided from the desulfurization device (5) to the dust collector (6). Accordingly, the exhaust gas passes through the dust collector (6) together with the reducing agent. However, when the reducing agent is supplied upstream of the dust collector (6), the reducing agent is injected into the exhaust gas having a temperature of 170 degrees or lower. At this time, the low temperature of the exhaust gas prevents the reducing agent from being sufficiently vaporized, thereby increasing the amount of reducing agent required. In addition, as the amount of reducing agent required increases, corrosion of the downstream equipment occurs rapidly due to the reducing agent. In other words, when the reducing agent is supplied upstream of the dust collector (6), there are problems such as reduced energy efficiency and rapid deterioration of the equipment.
[0066] However, the denitrification unit (430) according to the present embodiment may be provided with a reducing agent slipped from the selective non-catalytic reduction device (120). As described above, the selective non-catalytic reduction device (120) directly injects the reducing agent into the interior of the waste heat boiler (130) to remove NOx at a high temperature of 850 degrees or higher.
[0067] However, when removing NOx from a waste heat boiler (130) using a selective non-catalytic reduction device (130), the amount of reducing agent used must be 1.5 to 2.0 times higher than when operating a denitrification facility (8, see FIG. 9). Accordingly, in order to reduce the amount of reducing agent used, the amount of NOx removed in the selective non-catalytic reduction device (120) must be reduced and the amount of NOx removed in the denitrification unit (430) must be increased. In this case, the operation of the denitrification unit (430) may become difficult due to only the slip of the reducing agent injected from the selective non-catalytic reduction device (120). Therefore, the environmental system (1000) includes an additional reducing agent injection unit.
[0068] Hereinafter, a reducing agent injection unit according to various embodiments will be described with reference to the attached drawings.
[0069] Figure 6 is a conceptual diagram schematically illustrating the first reducing agent injection unit of the environmental system according to the present embodiment.
[0070] As illustrated in FIG. 6, the first reducing agent injection unit (810) according to the present embodiment directly injects reducing agent toward exhaust gas at the front end of the economizer (200) so that NOx is removed in the denitrification unit (430).
[0071] For example, the exhaust gas supplied from the waste heat boiler (130) to the economizer (200) has a temperature of approximately 300 to 400 degrees. Accordingly, the first reducing agent injection unit (810) directly injects the reducing agent toward the exhaust gas having a sufficiently high temperature, thereby inducing the majority of the reducing agent to vaporize. Accordingly, the denitrification unit (430) can stably remove NOx.
[0072] Meanwhile, depending on the environment, structure, and conditions of the environmental system (1000), it may be difficult to directly connect the first reducing agent injection unit (810) to the path. Accordingly, reducing agent injection may be performed in the denitrification unit (430) of the dust collection and denitrification facility (400).
[0073] Figure 7 is a conceptual diagram schematically illustrating a second reducing agent injection unit of an environmental system according to the present embodiment.
[0074] As illustrated in Fig. 7, the second reducing agent injection unit (820) according to the present embodiment injects a reducing agent toward exhaust gas inside the denitrification unit (430) so that NOx is removed in the denitrification unit (430). At this time, the reducing agent may be heated in advance and in a pre-vaporized state, and the second reducing agent injection unit (820) may include a plurality of nozzles to correspond to the entire surface of the honeycomb filter (431).
[0075] This second reducing agent injection unit (820) is arranged between the dust collection unit (410) and the honeycomb filter (431) so that the reducing agent is injected toward the honeycomb filter (431). Accordingly, the second reducing agent injection unit (820) can eliminate the clogging of the bag filter of the dust collection unit (410) caused by the reducing agent without being affected by dust, etc.
[0076] Meanwhile, a bag filter is provided in the dust collection unit (410). Accordingly, during operation of the environmental system (1000), the bag filter may be filled with contaminants. Accordingly, the dust collection and denitrification equipment (400) may include a contaminant removal unit for removing contaminants from the bag filter.
[0077] Figure 8 is a conceptual diagram schematically showing a pollutant removal unit of a dust collection and denitrification facility according to this embodiment.
[0078] As illustrated in Fig. 8, the denitrification unit (430) according to the present embodiment may be provided with a contaminant removal unit (900) that discharges a reducing agent or compressed air toward the bag filter between the bag filter and the honeycomb filter (431). The contaminant removal unit (900) includes a plurality of nozzles and is connected to a third reducing agent supply unit (830) that supplies a reducing agent and a compressed air supply unit (850) that supplies compressed air.
[0079] Accordingly, the pollutant removal unit (900) can be supplied with a reducing agent from the third reducing agent supply unit (830) while the supply of compressed air is blocked by the valve. At this time, the pollutant removal unit (900) allows the reducing agent to diffuse inside the denitrification unit (430) so that the removal of NOx is performed stably.
[0080] In addition, the contaminant removal unit (900) may be supplied with compressed air from the compressed air supply unit (850) while the supply of the reducing agent is blocked by the valve. At this time, the contaminant removal unit (900) may remove the contaminants filled in the bag filter by spraying the compressed air toward the bag filter. At this time, the supply pressures of the third reducing agent supply unit (830) and the compressed air supply unit (850) may be different for the purposes of diffusion and cleaning, respectively.
[0081] Accordingly, the dust collection and denitrification facility (400) supplies the reducing agent required for denitrification catalyst operation based on the third reducing agent supply unit (830), periodically blocks the supply of reducing agent, and performs cleaning of the bag filter based on the compressed air supply unit (850) to remove dust, etc.
[0082] In addition, the plurality of dust collection and denitrification facilities (400) are provided so that they can each be operated independently, and the flow of exhaust gas can be individually blocked for each dust collection and denitrification facility (400) using a damper. Accordingly, the cleaning of the bag filter can be performed independently for each necessary dust collection and denitrification facility (400) while blocking the flow of exhaust gas without stopping the operation of the environmental system (1000). In addition, when regeneration of the honeycomb filter (431) is required, the cleaning and coating work for regeneration of the honeycomb filter (431) can be performed while blocking the flow of exhaust gas of the necessary dust collection and denitrification facility (400) without stopping the operation of the environmental system (1000).
[0083] Accordingly, the dust collection and denitrification equipment according to the present invention and the environmental system including the same have the following effects.
[0084] First, the present invention has the effect of reducing energy waste in the operation of an environmental system by removing pollutants contained in exhaust gas without additional heating of the exhaust gas.
[0085] Second, the present invention has the effect of regenerating the poisoned filter into a new catalyst filter by cleaning the poisoned filter on site and coating it with vanadium oxide when the performance of the catalyst filter is reduced by various contaminants.
[0086] The embodiments of the present invention described above and illustrated in the drawings should not be construed as limiting the technical concept of the present invention. The scope of protection of the present invention is limited only by the matters set forth in the claims, and those skilled in the art will be able to make various improvements and modifications to the technical concept of the present invention. Accordingly, such improvements and modifications, as long as they are obvious to those skilled in the art, will fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
