[0002] This application claims priority to Chinese patent application number 202311110949.2, filed on August 30, 2023, entitled “Heat Pipe Vacuuming Method,” the entire text of which is hereby incorporated by reference. Technical Field
[0003] The present application relates to the technical field of heat pipe manufacturing, and in particular to a heat pipe vacuuming method. Background Art

In addition, the heat removal method causes a certain loss of working fluid, especially the expensive environmentally friendly refrigerant. The loss of working fluid will directly affect the cost and market competitiveness of heat pipe-related products. Although the vacuum pump exhaust method can achieve a very high vacuum degree, it is not conducive to the mass production of heat pipes due to the long time it takes for the vacuum pump to evacuate the heat pipe.

[0047] Typically, heat pipes need to be evacuated. In related technologies, there are two methods for evacuating heat: heat removal and vacuum pump exhaust. The heat removal method requires a high level of operator proficiency. Therefore, the vacuum degree of heat pipes produced by the heat removal method is greatly affected by human factors.
[0048] Please refer to Figures 1 to 15. In order to solve the problem that the related heat pipe vacuuming easily leads to the loss of working fluid and the vacuuming efficiency is low, the present application provides a heat pipe vacuuming system and a heat pipe vacuuming method. The heat pipe vacuuming system includes a liquid supply device 100, a vacuuming device 400, a heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and a multi-way valve group. The liquid supply device 100, the vacuuming device 400 and the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 can be interconnected through the multi-way valve group. In addition, the multi-way valve group can respectively control the opening and closing of the liquid supply port 110 of the liquid supply device 100, the opening and closing of the suction port 410 of the vacuuming device 400, and the opening and closing of the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200. The multi-way valve group is provided with an exhaust valve port 340 connected to the external space so that non-condensable gas can be discharged from the heat pipe vacuuming system through the exhaust valve port 340. The vacuum device 400 can expand its internal space so that the working medium in the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 can enter the vacuum device 400, or the vacuum device 400 can compress its internal space so that the working medium in the vacuum device 400 can flow back to the liquid supply device 100.
[0049] In this way, the liquid supply device 100 can be used to respectively supply the working fluid to the vacuum device 400 and the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 through the multi-way valve assembly, and all non-condensable gases in the heat pipe vacuum system can be discharged through the exhaust valve port 340. Then, the liquid supply port 110 of the liquid supply device 100 is closed by the multi-way valve assembly, and the internal space of the vacuum device 400 is expanded, allowing the working fluid in the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 to enter the vacuum device 400, thereby creating the required vacuum environment in the heat pipe heat exchanger 200. Finally, the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 is closed by the multi-way valve assembly, and the liquid supply port 110 of the liquid supply device 100 is opened. Moreover, the internal space of the vacuum device 400 is compressed, so that the working fluid in the vacuum device 400 can flow back to the liquid supply device 100.
[0050] Such a setting not only does not cause working fluid loss, but also compared to the heat removal method which requires a long time to slowly discharge non-condensable gas, the heat pipe vacuum pumping system provided in this application can quickly and efficiently discharge non-condensable gas and create the required vacuum environment, thereby facilitating large-scale batch production of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200.
[0051] Specifically, as shown in Figures 1 to 6, the multi-way valve group includes a first valve body 310, a second valve body 320 and a third valve body 330. The first valve body 310 is connected to the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400, the second valve body 320 is connected to the liquid supply port 110 of the liquid supply device 100, and the third valve body 330 is connected to the filling port 210 of the heat pipe exchanger 200. The liquid supply device 100 can be connected to the vacuum device 400 through the second valve body 320 and the first valve body 310 in sequence, and the liquid supply device 100 can be connected to the heat pipe exchanger 200 through the second valve body 320 and the third valve body 330 in sequence, and the vacuum device 400 can be connected to the heat pipe exchanger 200 through the first valve body 310 and the third valve body 330 in sequence.
[0052] More specifically, the heat pipe vacuuming method includes the following steps:
[0053] As shown in FIG1 , first, the liquid supply device 100 for storing and transporting liquid working medium is connected to the vacuum device 400 through the second valve body 320 and the first valve body 310 in sequence, and the liquid supply device 100 is connected to the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 through the second valve body 320 and the third valve body 330 in sequence;
[0054] Then, the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 are both arranged to face vertically upward, and an exhaust valve port 340 is provided on one or both of the first valve body 310, the second valve body 320, and the third valve body 330. In addition, the vertical height of the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and the vertical height of the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 are both less than the vertical height of the exhaust valve port 340. Optionally, the vertical height of the liquid supply port 110 of the liquid supply device 100 is also less than the vertical height of the exhaust valve port 340.
[0055] Afterwards, the liquid supply device 100 injects the working fluid into the heat pipe exchanger 200 and the vacuum device 400 respectively, and makes the working fluid reach a state where it can overflow the exhaust valve port 340 to exhaust the non-condensable gas (mainly air) in the heat pipe exchanger 200, the vacuum device 400 and the pipeline, and then closes the exhaust valve port 340 and the second valve body 320 to connect the heat pipe exchanger 200 to the vacuum device 400.
[0056] As shown in FIG2 , the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 is then maintained in an upright position, and the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 is set to be vertically downward, and the liquid level of the liquid working medium in the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 is always greater than the vertical height of the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 (that is, even if the liquid level of the liquid working medium in the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 drops, the liquid level of the liquid working medium is always greater than the vertical height of the suction port 410, and this process requires that each connection be kept sealed to prevent non-condensable gases such as air from entering, and a flexible pipe can be used so that the flexible pipe can twist freely when the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 moves and rotates); optionally, the vertical height of the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 is greater than the vertical height of the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400.
[0057] Afterwards, the vacuum device 400 is operated and the internal space of the vacuum device 400 is expanded by a preset multiple, so that the working medium in the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 enters the vacuum device 400 in sequence through the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 by gravity;
[0058] Finally, the vacuum pumping device 400 is stopped, the third valve body 330 is closed, and the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 is blocked.
[0059] It is understandable that in order to improve the sealing of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200, in subsequent operations, the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 can be set to be vertically upward again and welded.
[0060] Furthermore, the second valve body 320 can be opened, and the vacuum pumping device 400 can be started again, and the internal space of the vacuum pumping device 400 can be compressed so that the working fluid in the vacuum pumping device 400 can all flow back into the liquid supply device 100, avoiding waste of the working fluid and facilitating the recycling of the working fluid.
[0061] It can be understood that the heat pipe vacuuming method of the present application has the following advantages. First, before filling the working medium, the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 are both set to face vertically upward, and the vertical height of the filling port 210 of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and the vertical height of the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 are both less than the vertical height of the exhaust valve port 340. In this way, it can ensure that the working medium fills the vacuum device 400, the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and all parts of the pipeline, and after filling the working medium, the non-condensable gas is completely discharged through the exhaust valve port 340. The advantage of the first point is that it utilizes the characteristics that the density of the liquid working medium is greater than that of the non-condensable gas and the two are immiscible, and sets the vertical height difference between the various components of the heat pipe vacuuming system (including the liquid supply device 100, the vacuum device 400, the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 and the multi-way valve group) to completely discharge the non-condensable gas by injecting the working medium.
[0062] Second, when the working medium fills the vacuum device 400, the heat pipe exchanger 200, and all other parts of the pipeline, the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 is maintained vertically upward, and the filling port 210 of the heat pipe exchanger 200 is set vertically downward, and the liquid level of the liquid working medium in the heat pipe exchanger 200 is always greater than the vertical height of the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400. In this way, when the internal space of the vacuum device 400 expands, because there is no non-condensable gas in the heat pipe vacuum system and the heat pipe vacuum system is in a vacuum state everywhere, under the action of gravity, the working medium in the heat pipe exchanger 200 can enter the vacuum device 400 through the filling port 210 of the heat pipe exchanger 200 and the suction port 410 of the vacuum device 400 in sequence, thereby creating the required vacuum environment in the heat pipe exchanger 200. The second advantage is that the vertical height difference between the various components of the heat pipe vacuum system is further changed, so that the working medium flows by gravity in the heat pipe vacuum system and creates the required vacuum environment in the heat pipe heat exchanger 200.
[0063] From the above, it can be seen that the heat pipe vacuuming method provided in the present application will not cause working fluid loss, and compared with the heat removal method which requires a long time to slowly discharge non-condensable gas, the heat pipe vacuuming method provided in the present application is fast and efficient, which is conducive to the large-scale batch production of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200.
[0064] In one embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1 , a vent hole 120 is provided on the top of the liquid supply device 100 to balance the air pressure inside and outside the liquid supply device 100 and facilitate the flow of the working medium out of the liquid supply device 100 .
[0065] In order to improve the liquid supply efficiency of the liquid supply device 100 , in one embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1-FIG . 6 , the liquid supply port 110 of the liquid supply device 100 is set downward, and the vertical height of the liquid supply port 110 of the liquid supply device 100 is greater than the vertical height of the exhaust valve port 340 .
[0066] In this way, the working medium in the liquid supply device 100 can flow directly into the vacuum device 400 and the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 by gravity.
[0067] However, the present invention is not limited thereto. In another embodiment, the liquid supply device 100 may further deliver the working fluid via a liquid pump (not shown). In this way, the delivery of the working fluid may be started or stopped in a timely manner by controlling the start and stop of the liquid pump.
[0068] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 3-6 , a horizontal pipe section 500 is provided between the first valve body 310 and the third valve body 330. A U-shaped pipe section 600 is provided at the horizontal pipe section 500, bending downward and connecting to the horizontal pipe section 500. In other words, the first valve body 310 is connected to the third valve body 330 via the horizontal pipe section 500 and the U-shaped pipe section 600.
[0069] In this way, even if a gas leak occurs in the vacuum device 400, since the density of the non-condensable gas is less than that of the working fluid, the non-condensable gas can only float upward and cannot overcome gravity to move downward. Therefore, when the non-condensable gas passes through the downwardly curved U-shaped pipe section 600, the non-condensable gas can only gather above the end of the U-shaped pipe section 600 near the first valve body 310, and it is difficult for the non-condensable gas to pass downward through the U-shaped pipe section 600 and enter the end of the U-shaped pipe section 600 near the third valve body 330. In other words, it is difficult for the non-condensable gas to pass through the U-shaped pipe section 600 and enter the heat pipe exchanger 200. Therefore, this configuration increases the difficulty of non-condensable gas entering the heat pipe exchanger 200, effectively improving the success rate of vacuuming the heat pipe exchanger 200.
[0070] When the U-shaped pipe section 600 is provided, there are the following three embodiments regarding the arrangement of the exhaust valve port 340 .
[0071] Example 1
[0072] As shown in Figures 3 and 4, the exhaust valve port 340 is set in the first valve body 310 and the second valve body 320, and the first valve body 310 and the second valve body 320 are both three-way valves, the third valve body 330 is a stop valve, and the vertical height of the third valve body 330 is less than the vertical height of the exhaust valve port 340.
[0073] Specifically, the first valve body 310 includes a first valve port 311, a second valve port 312, and a third valve port 313 that are interconnected. The second valve body 320 includes a fourth valve port 321, a fifth valve port 322, and a sixth valve port 323 that are interconnected. The third valve port 313 and the fifth valve port 322 are both exhaust valve ports 340. The liquid supply device 100 is sequentially connected to the vacuum device 400 via the sixth valve port 323, the fourth valve port 321, the second valve port 312, and the first valve port 311. Furthermore, the liquid supply device 100 is sequentially connected to the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 via the sixth valve port 323, the fourth valve port 321, and the third valve body 330.
[0074] In this arrangement, when the liquid supply device 100 injects working fluid into the heat pipe exchanger 200 and the vacuum pumping device 400 respectively, the non-condensable gas on the side of the U-shaped pipe section 600 close to the first valve body 310 can be discharged through the third valve port 313, and the non-condensable gas on the side of the U-shaped pipe section 600 close to the third valve body 330 can be discharged through the fifth valve port 322.
[0075] Example 2
[0076] As shown in FIG. 5 , the exhaust valve port 340 is provided in the first valve body 310 and the third valve body 330 , and both the first valve body 310 and the third valve body 330 are three-way valves, and the second valve body 320 is a stop valve.
[0077] Specifically, the first valve body 310 includes a first valve port 311, a second valve port 312, and a third valve port 313 that are interconnected. The third valve body 330 includes a seventh valve port 331, an eighth valve port 332, and a ninth valve port 333 that are interconnected. The third valve port 313 and the eighth valve port 332 are both exhaust valve ports 340. The liquid supply device 100 is sequentially connected to the vacuum pumping device 400 via the second valve body 320, the second valve port 312, and the first valve port 311. Furthermore, the liquid supply device 100 is sequentially connected to the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 via the second valve body 320, the ninth valve port 333, and the seventh valve port 331.
[0078] In this arrangement, when the liquid supply device 100 injects working fluid into the heat pipe exchanger 200 and the vacuum pumping device 400 respectively, the non-condensable gas on the side of the U-shaped pipe section 600 close to the first valve body 310 can be discharged through the third valve port 313, and the non-condensable gas on the side of the U-shaped pipe section 600 close to the third valve body 330 can be discharged through the eighth valve port 332.
[0079] Example 3
[0080] As shown in FIG6 , the exhaust valve port 340 is provided in the second valve body 320 and the third valve body 330 , and both the second valve body 320 and the third valve body 330 are three-way valves, and the first valve body 310 is a stop valve.
[0081] Specifically, the second valve body 320 includes a fourth valve port 321, a fifth valve port 322, and a sixth valve port 323 that are interconnected. The third valve body 330 includes a seventh valve port 331, an eighth valve port 332, and a ninth valve port 333 that are interconnected. The fifth valve port 322 and the eighth valve port 332 are both exhaust valve ports 340. The liquid supply device 100 is sequentially connected to the vacuum pumping device 400 via the sixth valve port 323, the fourth valve port 321, and the first valve body 310. Furthermore, the liquid supply device 100 is sequentially connected to the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 via the sixth valve port 323, the fourth valve port 321, the ninth valve port 333, and the seventh valve port 331.
[0082] In this arrangement, when the liquid supply device 100 injects working fluid into the heat pipe exchanger 200 and the vacuum pumping device 400 respectively, the non-condensable gas on the side of the U-shaped pipe section 600 close to the first valve body 310 can be discharged through the fifth valve port 322, and the non-condensable gas on the side of the U-shaped pipe section 600 close to the third valve body 330 can be discharged through the eighth valve port 332.
[0083] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 1 to 9, the vacuum device 400 includes a shell 420, a piston 430 and a driving element (not shown in the figure), the shell 420 is provided with an inner cavity 421, the piston 430 is movably provided in the inner cavity 421 and separates the inner cavity 421 into a first cavity 422 and a second cavity 423 that are not connected, the first cavity 422 is connected to the suction port 410, the driving element is provided at one end of the piston 430 close to the second cavity 423 and is connected to the piston 430, and the driving element can drive the piston 430 to move toward or away from the suction port 410.
[0084] Thus, when the driving element is driven to move in a direction away from the suction port 410, the volume of the first chamber 422 expands and the volume of the second chamber 423 decreases, so that the working medium in the heat pipe exchanger 200 flows into the first chamber 422 by gravity. When the driving element is driven to move in a direction close to the suction port 410, the volume of the first chamber 422 decreases and the volume of the second chamber 423 expands, so that the working medium in the first chamber 422 flows back into the liquid storage device by pressure.
[0085] Moreover, by setting a driving element, the distance that the piston 430 moves can also be controlled. Moreover, even if the first chamber 422 is in a vacuum state, under the limiting action of the driving element, it can be ensured that the piston 430 will not move toward the suction port 410 under the action of atmospheric pressure, thereby ensuring that the vacuuming of the heat pipe exchanger 200 is carried out smoothly.
[0086] Specifically, the driving element is a driving cylinder, a linear driving motor or a rotary driving motor.
[0087] When the driving element is a driving cylinder or a linear driving motor, the piston 430 and the housing 420 are slidingly matched. When the driving element is a rotary driving motor, the piston 430 and the housing 420 are threadedly matched.
[0088] Furthermore, in one embodiment, as shown in Figures 1 to 9, the piston 430 includes a main body 431 and a connecting rod 432, the housing 420 is provided with a connecting hole 424, the main body 431 and the inner wall of the inner cavity 421 are movably matched, the connecting rod 432 is connected to one end of the main body 431 close to the second cavity 423, and the end of the connecting rod 432 away from the main body 431 extends out of the second cavity 423 through the connecting hole 424, and the output end of the driving element is connected to the connecting rod 432.
[0089] In this way, the piston 430 is double-limited through the active cooperation between the main body 431 and the inner wall of the inner cavity 421, and through the active cooperation between the connecting rod 432 and the connecting hole 424, thereby effectively preventing the piston 430 from offsetting relative to the housing 420.
[0090] Furthermore, in one embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 8 , a sleeve 425 is provided at the communicating hole 424 , and the connecting rod portion 432 and the cylinder body are movably matched, thereby further enhancing the anti-eccentricity capability of the piston 430 .
[0091] Due to the friction between the piston 430 and the inner wall of the inner cavity 421 , wear will occur between the piston 430 and the inner wall of the inner cavity 421 over time, resulting in seal failure, which will cause the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 to fail to evacuate.
[0092] It should be noted that, in one embodiment, a scale is provided on the outer circumference of the connecting rod portion 432 , thereby facilitating precise control of the distance moved by the piston 430 .
[0093] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 7 to 10, the vacuum pumping device 400 further includes a flange ring 440 and an elastic telescopic tube 450, which are respectively coaxially arranged with the shell 420. One end of the elastic telescopic tube 450 is sealed and fixed to the inner wall of the first cavity 422 through the flange ring 440, and the other end is sealed and connected to the piston 430. The piston 430 can drive the elastic telescopic tube 450 to telescope along its own axis.
[0094] Because one end of the elastic expansion tube 450 is fixed to the inner wall of the first chamber 422 via the flange ring 440, and the other end of the elastic expansion tube 450 is fixed to the piston 430, and the elastic expansion tube 450 achieves the expansion and contraction of the first chamber 422 through its own expansion and contraction, the elastic expansion tube 450 does not need to engage in any frictional interaction with other components during the expansion and contraction process, effectively preventing wear of the elastic expansion tube 450 and resulting in seal failure. Furthermore, even if the piston 430 or the inner wall of the inner chamber 421 wears during this process, the sealing performance of the elastic expansion tube 450 will not be affected, thereby greatly improving the airtightness of the vacuum device 400.
[0095] Optionally, the elastic telescopic tube 450 is a bellows.
[0096] The bellows are readily available and inexpensive, which helps to reduce the manufacturing cost of the entire heat pipe vacuum pumping system.
[0097] However, the present invention is not limited thereto. In other embodiments, the elastic telescopic tube 450 may also be a rubber tube, a silicone tube, or a metal laminate tube.
[0098] In another embodiment, as shown in Figure 11, the vacuum extraction device 400 also includes an annular first elastic membrane 471 and an annular second elastic membrane 472, one end of the first elastic membrane 471 is sealed and fixed to the inner wall of the first cavity 422, and the other end is sealed and connected to the end of the piston 430 close to the first cavity 422, one end of the second elastic membrane 472 is sealed and fixed to the inner wall of the second cavity 423, and the other end is sealed and connected to the end of the piston 430 close to the second cavity 423.
[0099] In this way, when the piston 430 moves toward the end away from the suction port 410, the first elastic membrane 471 can stretch itself to ensure that the end of the first chamber 422 near the second chamber 423 is in a sealed state. When the piston 430 moves toward the end near the suction port 410, the second elastic membrane 472 can stretch itself to ensure that the end of the second chamber 423 near the first chamber 422 is in a sealed state. Because the stretching and rebound of the first elastic membrane 471 and the second elastic membrane 472 do not require active friction with other components, wear of the first elastic membrane 471 and the second elastic membrane 472, which could lead to sealing failure, is effectively avoided. Moreover, during this process, even if the piston 430 or the inner wall of the inner chamber 421 wears, it will not affect the sealing performance of the first elastic membrane 471 and the second elastic membrane 472, thereby greatly improving the airtightness of the vacuum device 400.
[0100] Specifically, the first elastic membrane 471 and the second elastic membrane 472 are both made of highly elastic materials, such as rubber, silicone, or highly elastic plastic.
[0101] Furthermore, in one embodiment, as shown in Figures 11 to 15, the vacuum pumping device 400 also includes a plurality of first sealing pressure rings 481, second sealing pressure rings 482, third sealing pressure rings 483 and fourth sealing pressure rings 484, one end of the first elastic membrane 471 is sealedly connected to the inner wall of the first cavity 422 through the first sealing pressure ring 481, the other end of the first elastic membrane 471 is sealedly connected to the piston 430 through the second sealing pressure ring 482, one end of the second elastic membrane 472 is sealedly connected to the piston 430 through the third sealing pressure ring 483, and the other end of the second elastic membrane 472 is sealedly connected to the inner wall of the second cavity 423 through the fourth sealing pressure ring 484.
[0102] In this way, the sealing performance of the first elastic membrane 471 and the second elastic membrane 472 is further enhanced.
[0103] In one embodiment, as shown in Figures 3 and 4 , the housing 420 further includes an air extraction port 460 communicating with the second chamber 423. This port 460 is configured to connect to an external vacuum pump. This arrangement, if a leak occurs at the piston 430, allows the vacuum pump to draw non-condensable gas from the second chamber 423, thereby reducing the pressure differential between the first chamber 422 and the second chamber 423 and slowing the onset of leakage in the first chamber 422. Furthermore, by reducing the pressure differential between the first chamber 422 and the second chamber 423, the resistance to piston 430's movement is reduced.
[0104] In one embodiment, there are multiple vacuum pumping devices 400, and the multiple vacuum pumping devices 400 are arranged in parallel. The multiple vacuum pumping devices 400 are respectively connected to the liquid supply device 100 through a multi-way valve group, and the multiple vacuum pumping devices 400 are respectively connected to the heat pipe heat exchanger 200 through a multi-way valve group.
[0105] In this way, the suction force of the vacuuming device 400 can be significantly increased, thereby improving the vacuuming effect of the heat pipe heat exchanger 200.
