[0002] This application claims priority to Chinese patent application No. 202311130896.0 filed on September 1, 2023, the entire contents of which are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0003] The present application relates to the field of communication technology, and in particular to a beam configuration method, apparatus, communication equipment, and storage medium. Background Art
[0004] With the dramatic increase in data traffic demand and the continuous expansion of wireless communication system networks, the overlapping coverage areas between base stations require additional transmission performance enhancement. Distributed systems can achieve higher-quality transmission performance within their coverage areas by leveraging the high-speed connections and information exchange of multiple distributed access nodes. In high-frequency distributed communication systems, such as those in the millimeter wave or terahertz bands, analog beams are typically used for signal transmission between each access node and the user terminal. The initial connection between the access node and the user terminal is established through SSB beam scanning and pairing, and subsequent uplink and downlink data transmission is also based on paired beams. To meet the coverage area requirements of each access node, certain requirements are imposed on the number and shape of SSB beams. Therefore, as the number of access nodes increases, the total number of SSB beams configured within a cell may exceed the upper limit specified by current communication protocols. Therefore, how to configure beams for multiple access nodes and ensure that each access node is configured with a different beam group than its corresponding set of adjacent access nodes has become a pressing issue.

The memory 1005 may be a high-speed random access memory (RAM) or a stable non-volatile memory (NVM), such as a disk storage. The memory 1005 may also be a storage device independent of the aforementioned processor 1001.
[0023] Those skilled in the art will appreciate that the structure shown in FIG1 does not limit the communication device and may include more or fewer components than shown, or a combination of certain components, or a different arrangement of components.
[0024] As shown in FIG1 , the memory 1005 as a storage medium may include an operating system, a network communication module, a user interface module, and a beam configuration program.
[0025] In the communication device shown in Figure 1, the network interface 1004 is mainly used for data communication with the network server; the user interface 1003 is mainly used for data interaction with the user; the processor 1001 and the memory 1005 in the communication device of the present application can be set in the communication device, and the communication device calls the beam configuration program stored in the memory 1005 through the processor 1001, and executes the beam configuration method provided in the embodiment of the present application.
[0026] Based on the above-mentioned communication device, an embodiment of the present application provides a beam configuration method. Referring to Figure 2, Figure 2 is a flow chart of the first embodiment of the beam configuration method of the present application.
[0027] In this embodiment, the beam configuration method includes the following steps:
[0028] Step S10: constructing a beam group based on the beam to be configured.
[0029] The execution subject of this embodiment can be a computing service device with data processing, network communication and program execution functions, such as a computer, or a device and chip such as a digital signal processor (DSP), a field programmable gate array (FPGA), and an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC).
[0030] The beam configuration method proposed in this embodiment can be applied to the multi-point cooperative transmission scenario of a distributed communication system. In one implementation, after the distributed system node deployment is completed, the beam configuration method proposed in this embodiment is used to perform SSB beam configuration of the access node, and then subsequent beam scanning and data transmission processes are performed after completion.
[0031] This embodiment allows for separate beam configuration for each cell. Therefore, it is necessary to determine all access nodes in each cell and perform beam configuration, optionally SSB beam configuration, for all access nodes in the same cell. The beam configuration requirement refers to the number of SSB beams that each access node must configure to meet coverage requirements. The preset beam condition refers to the upper limit on the number of configurable SSB beams within the cell, for example, 20 or 24. This embodiment does not impose specific restrictions on this.
[0032] In a specific implementation, a beam group can be constructed based on the beam to be configured. The beam to be configured refers to a beam that can be configured to an access node. The beams to be configured can also be grouped to construct a beam group. The number of beams in each beam group can be the same or different. This embodiment does not impose specific restrictions on the number of beam groups, the number of beams in each beam group, and the beams in each beam group. For example, when the beam group to be configured includes beams 1 to beam 8, the beam group may include beam group 1 (beams 1 to beam 4), beam group 2 (beams 5 to beam 8), and may also include beam group 1 (beam 1, beam 2), beam group 2 (beam 3, beam 4), beam group 3 (beam 5, beam 6), beam group 4 (beam 7, beam 8), and the like.
[0033] In order to determine the conditions for constructing a beam group, in this embodiment, before step S10, it also includes: determining the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell, and determining the total beam number requirement based on the beam configuration requirements; when the total beam number requirement is greater than the preset beam number, determining that the beam configuration requirement meets the preset beam condition; when the preset beam condition is met, constructing a beam group based on the beam to be configured.
[0034] The total beam requirement is calculated by adding the beam configuration requirements for each access node in the same cell. Generally, the beam configuration requirements for each access node are the same in the same coverage scenario, such as an office or a room. Assuming a cell includes N access nodes, and the beam configuration requirement for each access node is Q, the total beam requirement is QN.
[0035] The preset number of beams refers to the upper limit of the number of SSB beam configurations for each cell, as specified by the communication protocol or constrained by the distributed communication system. This embodiment does not limit the specific value of the preset number of beams.
[0036] In a specific implementation, assuming the preset number of beams is K, when the total required number of beams is less than or equal to the preset number of beams, that is, QN ≤ K, it is determined that the preset beam condition is not met, indicating that the number of SSB beams configured for access nodes in the cell is not restricted. When the total required number of beams is greater than the preset number of beams, that is, QN > K, it is determined that the preset beam condition is met, indicating that the number of SSB beams configured for access nodes in the cell is restricted.
[0037] This embodiment determines whether the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell meet the preset beam conditions based on the size relationship between the total number of beam requirements and the preset number of beams, thereby performing beam configuration separately when the preset beam conditions are met and when the preset beam conditions are not met.
[0038] In order to implement beam configuration when the preset beam conditions are not met, in this embodiment, after the steps of determining the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell and determining the total beam number requirement based on the beam configuration requirements, it also includes: when the total beam number requirement is less than or equal to the preset beam number, determining that the beam configuration requirement does not meet the preset beam conditions; when the preset beam conditions are not met, dividing the beams to be configured according to the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node to obtain divided beam groups; and configuring the divided beam groups corresponding to each access node.
[0039] When the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell do not meet the preset beam conditions, the number of SSB beam configurations is not limited. The SSB beam configuration only needs to meet the following requirements: the SSB beam configurations corresponding to each access node are different, and the unallocated SSB beams can be configured in sequence according to the access nodes. There are no other allocation rule restrictions, and the process ends.
[0040] In a specific implementation, the beams to be configured can be divided according to the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node to obtain divided beam groups, and each access node is configured with a corresponding divided beam group. The number of beams in the divided beam group is the same as the beam configuration requirements of the corresponding access node. For example, the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node are Q, and the divided beam group may also include Q beams to be configured, and each access node is configured with a corresponding divided beam group.
[0041] In this embodiment, when the beam configuration requirements corresponding to the same cell do not meet the preset beam conditions, the beams to be configured are divided according to the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node, and the corresponding divided beam groups are configured for each access node, so that a beam can be configured for each access node when the number of beam configurations is not limited.
[0042] Step S20: Obtain inter-node distances between multiple access nodes.
[0043] The inter-node distance refers to the distance between any two access nodes in the same cell. Specifically, the node coordinates corresponding to each access node in the cell can be determined first, and then the distance between any two access nodes can be calculated based on the node coordinates according to the distance formula between two points.
[0044] Step S30: Determine a neighboring access node set of each access node in the multiple access nodes according to the inter-node distance.
[0045] The adjacent access node set may include adjacent access nodes corresponding to each access node. Specifically, the adjacent access nodes corresponding to each access node can be determined based on the inter-node distance. The inter-node distance between each access node and other access nodes can be determined first, and the access nodes with an inter-node distance less than a preset distance can be regarded as adjacent access nodes. The preset distance is not specifically limited in this embodiment. The inter-node distances can also be sorted according to size, and a preset number of inter-node distances can be selected from the inter-node distances in order from small to large, and the corresponding access nodes can be regarded as adjacent access nodes. The preset number is not specifically limited in this embodiment.
[0046] Step S40: configuring the beam group for each access node, wherein the beam group configured for each access node is different from the beam group configured for the corresponding set of adjacent access nodes.
[0047] A constructed beam group can be configured for each access node. The beam group configured for each access node is different from that configured for the corresponding set of adjacent access nodes, that is, the beam group configured for each access node is different from that configured for its adjacent access nodes. For example, including beam groups 1 to 4, a certain access node corresponds to 3 adjacent access nodes. Beam group 1 can be configured for the access node, beam group 2 can be configured for the adjacent access node 1, beam group 3 can be configured for the adjacent access node 2, and beam group 4 can be configured for the adjacent access node 3. This can effectively avoid configuring the same beam group for access nodes in overlapping coverage areas.
[0048] This embodiment constructs a beam group based on the beam to be configured, then obtains the inter-node distances between multiple access nodes, determines the adjacent access node set of each access node in the multiple access nodes based on the inter-node distances, and then configures a beam group for each access node. Each access node is configured with a different beam group than its corresponding adjacent access node set. This embodiment determines the adjacent access node set of each access node based on the inter-node distances and then configures a beam group for each access node. This allows beam configuration for each access node, and each access node is configured with a different beam group than its corresponding adjacent access node set. This at least addresses the problem in related technologies where the same beam simultaneously transmits signals in overlapping coverage areas, leading to coverage holes and reduced transmission performance.
[0049] Refer to FIG3 , which is a flowchart of a second embodiment of the beam configuration method of the present application.
[0050] Based on the above first embodiment, in this embodiment, step S10 includes:
[0051] Step S101: Determine the initial number of beam groups according to the preset number of beams and the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell.
[0052] The initial number of beam groups can be determined based on the preset number of beams and the beam configuration requirement. For example, if the preset number of beams is K and the beam configuration requirement corresponding to each access node is Q, then the initial number of beam groups is K / Q.
[0053] Step S102: rounding the initial number of beam groups to obtain a target number of beam groups.
[0054] When the initial number of beam groups is not an integer, the initial number of beam groups may be rounded off, specifically rounded down. For example, if the initial number of beam groups is 5.3, the target number of beam groups is 5.
[0055] Step S103: Divide the beams to be configured based on the target number of beam groups to obtain beam groups.
[0056] In a specific implementation, the beams to be configured can be divided based on the target number of beam groups to obtain beam groups with the same number of target beam groups. For example, if the target number of beam groups is L, the obtained beam groups can be {beam group 1, beam group 2, ..., beam group L}, and the beams to be configured in each beam group are different.
[0057] In order to effectively obtain the beam group, in this embodiment, step S103 includes: labeling the beams to be configured to obtain the labeled beams to be configured; constructing a blank initial beam group based on the target number of beam groups; and allocating the beams to be configured to the initial beam group in sequence according to the beam labels corresponding to the labeled beams to be configured to obtain the beam group.
[0058] In this embodiment, the beams to be configured may be numbered first. For example, there are R beams to be configured. The numbered beams to be configured may be represented as {beam 1, beam 2, ..., beam R}.
[0059] The initial beam group can be a blank beam group with the same number of target beam groups. That is, the initial beam group does not contain any beams to be configured. The beams to be configured are then assigned to the initial beam groups sequentially according to their corresponding beam indices. For example, beam group 1 contains beams 1, 2, ..., and 8, and beam group 2 contains beams 9, 10, ..., and 16.
[0060] This embodiment determines an initial number of beam groups based on the preset number of beams and the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell. The initial number of beam groups is then rounded to an integer to obtain a target number of beam groups. The beams to be configured are then divided based on the target number of beam groups to obtain beam groups. This embodiment determines the target number of beam groups based on the preset number of beams and the beam configuration requirements, effectively obtaining the number of beam groups. The beams to be configured are then divided based on the target number of beam groups to obtain beam groups. This allows the beams to be configured to be sequentially assigned to each beam group, ensuring that the beams to be configured within each beam group are different.
[0061] Refer to FIG4 , which is a flowchart of a third embodiment of the beam configuration method of the present application.
[0062] Based on the above embodiments, in this embodiment, step S30 includes:
[0063] Step S301: Determine the number of adjacent access nodes corresponding to each access node in the plurality of access nodes.
[0064] The number of nodes refers to the number of adjacent access nodes corresponding to each access point. The number of nodes must be greater than or equal to 1 and less than the above-mentioned target beam group number. The number of nodes is related to the density of access nodes in the cell. The denser the access nodes, the larger the corresponding number of nodes. The number of adjacent access nodes corresponding to each access node may be different. This embodiment can pre-set the number of adjacent access nodes corresponding to each access node, for example, 3, 4, 5, etc. This embodiment does not impose any specific restrictions on this.
[0065] Step S302: Determine a set of adjacent access nodes of each access node according to the inter-node distance and the number of nodes.
[0066] In a specific implementation, the adjacent access node set of each access node can be determined based on the inter-node distance and the number of nodes. Specifically, the inter-node distances can be arranged in order from large to small or from small to large, and then the target inter-node distance whose number is the closest to the number of nodes is selected. The access nodes corresponding to the target inter-node distances are used as the adjacent access nodes of the access node. For example, the inter-node distances corresponding to a certain access node include 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7, and the number of nodes is 4. Then the target inter-node distances are 2, 2, 3, and 3. The access nodes corresponding to these four distances are adjacent access nodes, and the four adjacent access nodes constitute the adjacent access node set.
[0067] In order to effectively perform beam configuration, in this embodiment, the step S40 includes: labeling each beam group to obtain a labeled beam group; allocating the labeled beam group to each access node in sequence according to the beam group label corresponding to the labeled beam group, and the beam group configured for each access node is different from the corresponding adjacent access node set.
[0068] In this embodiment, the beam groups may be numbered to obtain numbered beam groups, for example, {beam group 1, beam group 2, ..., beam group L}. The numbered beam groups are then sequentially assigned to the access nodes according to the beam group numbers. For example, access node 1 is assigned beam group 1, and access node 2 is assigned beam group 2.
[0069] The beam groups configured for each access node and the corresponding set of adjacent access nodes are different. For example, the adjacent access nodes corresponding to access node 1 are access node 2, access node 3, and access node 4. At this time, the beam groups configured for access node 1, access node 2, access node 3, and access node 4 cannot be the same.
[0070] In this embodiment, referring to FIG5 , FIG5 is a schematic diagram of the overall flow of an embodiment of the beam configuration method of the present application. As shown in FIG5 , the beam configuration requirement Q of each access node is first obtained, including K access nodes, with a total beam number requirement of QN. Then, the total beam number requirement QN is compared and determined to be greater than the preset beam number K. If K ≥ QN, it is determined that the preset beam condition is not met, and beam groups are allocated sequentially according to the access node number order, ensuring that the beam groups of each access node are different. When K<QN, it is determined that the preset beam condition is met, and the K beams can be divided into L groups. The beams to be configured can be allocated to each beam group in sequence by configuring Q different beams for each beam group. For example, the beam group may include {beam group 1, beam group 2, beam group 3, beam group 4}, and then the above beam groups are allocated in sequence according to the order of access node numbers, and it needs to meet the following requirements: the access node to which the beam group is allocated later needs to have a beam group that is different from the beam group of its adjacent access node. For example, the adjacent access nodes of access node 1 include access node 2, access node 3, and access node 4. Then, beam group 1 is allocated to access node 1, beam group 2 is allocated to access node 2, beam group 3 is allocated to access node 3, and beam group 4 is allocated to access node 4.
[0071] In a specific implementation, refer to FIG6 , which is a schematic diagram of access nodes in a uniformly distributed scenario of an embodiment of the beam configuration method of the present application. As shown in FIG6 , when the access nodes in the same cell are uniformly distributed, it is assumed that the cell contains 8 access nodes, namely {access node 1, access node 2, ..., access node 8}, the preset number of beams is 32, and the beam configuration requirement corresponding to each access node is 8, then 8×8 is greater than 32, and it is determined that the preset beam conditions are met. The 32 SSB beams can be divided into groups, and the SSB beams can be allocated to each group in turn by configuring 8 beams for each SSB beam group, ensuring that the beams in each SSB beam group are different. The target number of beam groups is 32 / 8=4, recorded as {SSB beam Group 1, SSB beam group 2, SSB beam group 3, SSB beam group 4}; one simple allocation method is: G1 = SSB beam group 1 = {SSB beam 1, SSB beam 2, ..., SSB beam 8}; G2 = SSB beam group 2 = {SSB beam 9, SSB beam 10, ..., SSB beam 16}; G3 = SSB beam group 3 = {SSB beam 17, SSB beam 18, ..., SSB beam 24}; G4 = SSB beam group 4 = {SSB beam 25, SSB beam 26, ..., SSB beam 32}. SSB beam groups are allocated in sequence according to the access node number order, and the following conditions must be met: the access node to which the SSB beam group is allocated later must have a different SSB beam group from the SSB beam group of its adjacent access node. As shown in Figure 6, assuming that the number of adjacent access nodes is 3, the adjacent access nodes of access node 1 include access node 2, access node 3, and access node 4, and the adjacent access nodes of access node 5 include access node 6, access node 7, and access node 8. The final beam configuration result is:
[0072] Reference may also be made to FIG7 , which is a schematic diagram of access nodes in a strip distribution scenario according to an embodiment of the beam configuration method of the present application. As shown in FIG7 , when the access nodes in the same cell are distributed in a strip shape, it is assumed that the cell contains 8 access nodes, namely {access node 1, access node 2, ..., access node 8}, the preset number of beams is 64, and the beam configuration requirement corresponding to each access node is 16, then 8×16 is greater than 64, and it is determined that the preset beam conditions are met. The 64 SSB beams can be divided into groups, and the SSB beams can be allocated to each group in sequence by configuring 16 beams for each SSB beam group, ensuring that the beams in each SSB beam group are different. The target number of beam groups is 64 / 8=8, recorded as {SSB beam group 1, SSB beam group 2, SSB beam group 3, SSB beam group 4}; one simple allocation method is: G1 = SSB beam group 1 = {SSB beam 1, SSB beam 2, ..., SSB beam 16}; G2 = SSB beam group 2 = {SSB beam 17, SSB beam 18, ..., SSB beam 32}; G3 = SSB beam group 3 = {SSB beam 33, SSB beam 34, ..., SSB beam 48}; G4 = SSB beam group 4 = {SSB beam 49, SSB beam 50, ..., SSB beam 64}. SSB beam groups are allocated in sequence according to the access node number order, and the following conditions must be met: the access node to which the SSB beam group is allocated later must have a different SSB beam group from the SSB beam group of its adjacent access node. As shown in Figure 7, assuming that the number of adjacent access nodes is 3, the adjacent access nodes of access node 1 include access node 2, access node 5, and access node 6, and the adjacent access nodes of access node 2 include access node 1, access node 3, and access node 6. The final beam configuration result is:
[0073] The access node schematic diagrams corresponding to FIG5 and FIG6 are merely examples. In this embodiment, the various parameters and beam configuration results are merely examples.
[0074] This embodiment determines the number of neighboring access nodes corresponding to each of the multiple access nodes, and then determines a neighboring access node set for each access node based on the inter-node distance and the number of nodes. This embodiment determines the neighboring access node set for each access node based on the inter-node distance and the number of nodes, thereby effectively determining the neighboring access nodes corresponding to each access node and forming a neighboring access node set.
[0075] Refer to FIG8 , which is a structural block diagram of the first embodiment of the beam configuration device of the present application.
[0076] As shown in Figure 8, the beam configuration device proposed in an embodiment of the present application includes: a beam group construction module 10, used to construct a beam group based on the beam to be configured; a distance acquisition module 20, used to obtain the inter-node distance between each access node; a node determination module 30, used to determine the adjacent access node set of each access node among the multiple access nodes based on the inter-node distance; a beam configuration module 40, used to configure the beam group for each access node, and the beam group configured for each access node and the corresponding adjacent access node set is different.
[0077] This embodiment constructs a beam group based on the beam to be configured, then obtains the inter-node distances between multiple access nodes, then determines the adjacent access node set of each access node in the multiple access nodes based on the inter-node distances, and then configures a beam group for each access node, with each access node configured with a different beam group than the corresponding adjacent access node set. This embodiment determines the adjacent access node set of each access node based on the inter-node distances, and then configures a beam group for each access node. This allows beam configuration for each access node, and each access node is configured with a different beam group than the corresponding adjacent access node set. This at least solves the problem in related technologies where the same beam simultaneously transmits signals in overlapping coverage areas, resulting in coverage holes and reduced transmission performance.
[0078] It should be noted that the workflow described above is merely illustrative and does not limit the scope of protection of this application. In actual applications, technicians in this field can select part or all of it according to actual needs to achieve the purpose of this embodiment scheme, and no restrictions are imposed here.
[0079] In addition, for technical details not fully described in this embodiment, please refer to the beam configuration method provided in any embodiment of the present application, and will not be repeated here.
[0080] Based on the above-mentioned first embodiment of the beam configuration device of the present application, a second embodiment of the beam configuration device of the present application is proposed.
[0081] In this embodiment, the beam group construction module 10 is also used to determine the initial number of beam groups based on the preset number of beams and the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell; round the initial number of beam groups to obtain the target number of beam groups; and divide the beams to be configured based on the target number of beam groups to obtain beam groups.
[0082] The beam group construction module 10 is further used to label the beams to be configured to obtain the labeled beams to be configured; construct a blank initial beam group based on the target number of beam groups; and allocate the beams to be configured to the initial beam group in sequence according to the beam labels corresponding to the labeled beams to be configured to obtain beam groups.
[0083] The node determination module 30 is further configured to determine the number of adjacent access nodes corresponding to each access node among the multiple access nodes; and determine the adjacent access node set of each access node according to the inter-node distance and the number of nodes.
[0084] The beam configuration module 40 is also used to label each beam group to obtain a labeled beam group; and to sequentially allocate the labeled beam group to each access node according to the beam group number corresponding to the labeled beam group, and the beam group configured for each access node is different from the beam group configured for the corresponding adjacent access node set.
[0085] The beam configuration module 40 is also used to determine the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node in the same cell, and determine the total beam number requirement based on the beam configuration requirements; when the total beam number requirement is greater than the preset beam number, it is determined that the beam configuration requirement meets the preset beam condition; when the preset beam condition is met, a beam group is constructed based on the beam to be configured.
[0086] The beam configuration module 40 is further configured to determine that the beam configuration requirement does not meet the preset beam condition when the total beam number requirement is less than or equal to the preset beam number; when the preset beam condition is not met, divide the beams to be configured according to the beam configuration requirements corresponding to each access node to obtain the divided beam groups; and configure the divided beam groups corresponding to each access node.
