Abstract
Description
[0001] Methods for treating plants
[0002] The invention relates to a method and a computer program product, as well as a system for treating plants. Furthermore, the invention relates to a land vehicle with such a system and a kit containing components of such a system.
[0003] From DE 10 2020 115 923 A1 it is known to apply a liquid mixture of substances to plants as part of an electro-treatment of plants, in which the mixture of substances has a component that reduces electrical contact resistance.
[0004] A method for operating an agricultural work machine is known from DE 10 2012 111 029 A1.
[0005] EP 2 018 981 A1 discloses an agricultural machine and a method for controlling it.
[0006] An on-board computer system is known from DE 10 2008 028 220 A1.
[0007] A system for electro-treating plants can have additional interchangeable modules. These interchangeable modules can be, for example, a wetting module for wetting plants with a liquid mixture and an electrical module for electro-treating plants wetted with the liquid mixture by applying electrical energy.
[0008] The wetting module, the liquid mixture, and the electrical module can be optimized for different applications, e.g., for desiccation of potato plants or other terrestrial plants, or for green manure control. Therefore, appropriate parameterization of various system components is required. There is a need to demonstrate ways to simplify such parameterization.
[0009] The object of the invention is achieved by a method for treating plants with a treatment device and an exchange module associated with the treatment device, comprising the steps:
[0010] Determining an identification data record indicative of a parameter data record of the assigned exchange module,
[0011] Determining the parameter data set by evaluating the identification data set, and
[0012] Operating the treatment device with the assigned exchange module according to the specific parameter data set.
[0013] Such interchangeable modules can be designed as attachments and can therefore be mounted on and removed from a land vehicle. In other words, a switch from one attachment to another can be made as needed.
[0014] An assigned exchange module is understood to mean that an exchange takes place between the treatment device and the exchange module, e.g. by transferring a medium, such as a mixture of substances, and / or operating energy, such as electrical operating energy for an electrical treatment for treating plants, from the treatment device to the assigned exchange module. In other words, there is a separable connection carrying media and / or operating energy between the treatment device and the assigned exchange module. In addition, a data-transmitting connection can also be provided and can be severed. This way, based on the identification data set that is assigned to a specific exchange module, for example, this exchange module can be uniquely identified. This allows a corresponding parameter data set, e.g.from a library with a plurality of parameter data sets, which then contains values for operating parameters with which the treatment device can be optimally operated with the assigned exchange module.
[0015] In this way, such parameterization can be simplified and, at the same time, automation can prevent the treatment device from being operated with incorrect parameters for the assigned exchange module.
[0016] According to one embodiment, a storage tank and / or an applicator row and / or an applicator unit is used as the interchangeable module. A storage tank serves to store a liquid mixture of substances, which is applied to the plants and / or arable soil to be treated using a wetting module. The liquid mixture of substances can contain a component that reduces the electrical contact resistance of plants and / or a soil activator component. In addition, the mixture of substances can contain further components. An applicator row with a plurality of applicator units of an electrical module is designed to apply electrical energy to terrestrial plants in order to kill the plants, e.g., as part of green manure control or desiccation, e.g., potato plants. The plants can also be other terrestrial plants (Embryophyta), such asThese are higher plants or vascular plants, especially plants with a structure of roots, stems, and leaves (corms), which need to be controlled or killed. By applying the mixture with a component that reduces contact resistance, electrical contact resistance between the applicators of the electrical module used to contact the plants and the contacted plants can be reduced. Furthermore, the tendency to arcing is reduced, which reduces energy consumption during such electrical treatment of plants.
[0017] According to a further embodiment, a data storage device assigned to the interchangeable module is read to determine the parameter data set. The assigned data storage device can be, for example, an RFID chip, sensor, controller, or other IC that is assigned to the interchangeable module or is attached to the interchangeable module, so that the interchangeable module and the data storage device form a non-separable unit. While the identification data set is archived on the assigned data storage device, the parameter data set can be stored in a different location, e.g., in a data storage device of the treatment device or in a cloud to which the treatment device can establish a wireless data-transmitting connection. This allows for particularly simple and reliable parameterization.
[0018] According to a further embodiment, a measured value is determined using a sensor to determine the parameter data set. For example, a characteristic variable of the liquid substance mixture can be detected with the sensor and provided as an identification data set. For example, values for electrical conductivity, color, optical transmittance (turbidity), density, or viscosity can be detected with the sensor. Combinations of these values can also be detected using a plurality of sensors, e.g., combined to form a sensor array. It can also be provided to add material markers, such as one or more dyes, to the liquid substance mixture to facilitate the detection of color and / or optical transmittance. This also allows for particularly simple and reliable parameterization of this type.
[0019] According to a further embodiment, a pin assignment of a connector is determined to determine the parameter data set. A pin assignment is understood to mean the contacting of a connector from a plurality of connectors with contacts, with each connector corresponding to only one correspondingly shaped socket. Alternatively, a pin assignment can be understood to mean the contacting of a predetermined combination of plug contacts of the connector, while other plug contacts remain unassigned. This allows for particularly simple and reliable parameterization.
[0020] The invention further includes a computer program product and a system for treating plants, a land vehicle with such a system and a kit containing components of such a system.

[0033] Figures 1 and 2 show the system. Figure 7 shows a schematic representation of a process flow for operating the land vehicle shown in Figures 1 and 2.
[0034] Reference is first made to Figure 1.
[0035] Shown is a land vehicle 2 for use on arable land. In the present embodiment, the land vehicle 2 is a combination consisting of a tractor 4 pulling a trailer 6.
[0036] In the present embodiment, the towing vehicle 4 is designed as a tractor with its own drive, while the trailer 6 does not have its own drive.
[0037] In the present embodiment, a treatment device 8 for treating plants, comprising a wetting module 10 and an electrical module 12, is assigned to the trailer 6. Deviating from the present embodiment, the wetting module 10 and / or the electrical module 12 can be assigned to the towing vehicle 4. If both the wetting module 10 and the electrical module 12 are assigned to the towing vehicle 4, the trailer 6 can be omitted. Furthermore, the wetting module 10 and / or the electrical module 12 can each be designed as individual attachments that can be mounted as needed and dismantled again after use.
[0038] The wetting module 10 is designed to apply a liquid substance mixture ST (see Figure 6) to plants and / or arable soil to be treated. The liquid substance mixture ST applied to the plants can contain an active ingredient component that reduces the electrical contact resistance of plants and / or one or more active ingredient components. In addition, the substance mixture ST can contain further active ingredient components. The electrical module 12, on the other hand, is designed to apply electrical energy to plants in order to kill them, e.g. as part of green manure control or desiccation, e.g. of potato plants. The plants can in particular be terrestrial plants (Embryophyta), such as higher plants, or vascular plants, in particular plants with a structure consisting of roots, stems and leaves (corms), which are to be controlled or killed accordingly.
[0039] By applying the substance mixture ST with a component that reduces contact resistance, electrical contact resistance between the applicators 30a, 30b, 30c for contacting the plants (see Figure 5) of the electrical module 12 and the contacted plants can be reduced. Furthermore, the tendency toward arcing is reduced, which reduces energy consumption during such an electrical treatment of plants.
[0040] In the present embodiment, during an electrical treatment, the plants on the agricultural land are exposed to electrical energy in the form of a direct current. Direct current is understood to be an electric current that is free from changes in sign or direction.
[0041] In the present embodiment, an electrical direct voltage of 1,600 V to 5,500 V with a maximum residual ripple of 5% to 20% (in the frequency range 60 kHz to 200 kHz) is used for the electrical treatment of plants.
[0042] In the present exemplary embodiment, a generator 14 is also arranged on the trailer 6 to supply, for example, pumps of the wetting module 10 and the electrical module 12 with electrical operating energy BE (see Figure 6). The generator 14 provides electrical operating energy BE and is connected to the wetting module 10 and the electrical module 12 so as to transmit the electrical operating energy BE. In the present exemplary embodiment, the generator 14 is supplied with mechanical operating energy via a power take-off shaft 16 of the towing vehicle 4. In contrast to the present exemplary embodiment, mechanical drive energy for the generator 14 can also be provided via a hydraulic circuit. Furthermore, if the towing vehicle 4 has an electrified drive train, a supply of operating energy BE can be provided without the generator 14 being connected in series.
[0043] In the present embodiment, generator 14 provides three-phase electrical current with a power of 160 kVA at an electrical voltage of 400 V and a frequency of 50 Hz to 60 Hz. Deviating from the present embodiment, the power of the three-phase electrical current can also be higher, e.g., twice as high.
[0044] The three-phase electrical current is transmitted via electrical cables to at least one power electronics unit 42 (see Figure 6) of the electrical module 12.
[0045] Further details and components of the electrical module 12 will be explained later.
[0046] Reference is now made additionally to Figure 2.
[0047] A plurality of applicator units 18 are arranged next to one another in an applicator row 22 on two extension arms 20a, 20b of the treatment device 8, which can be displaced between a working position (shown) and a non-use position (not shown), wherein the extension direction of the applicator row 22 preferably extends transversely, in the present embodiment at an angle of 90°, to the direction of travel FR of the land vehicle 2.
[0048] Figure 2 shows that, using the treatment device 8, a section A of an area with plants was first wetted with the liquid substance mixture by the wetting module 10 and then subjected to an electrical treatment by applying a direct electrical current using the electrical module 12. For this purpose, the trailer 6 with the treatment device 8 was moved by the towing vehicle 4 in the direction of travel FR at a speed v over the section A and applied with a direct electrical current across the entire width b of the applicator row 22. Thus, each of the applicator units 18 treats a strip-shaped section A of the area.
[0049] In the present embodiment, the applicator row 22 covers a total working width of 0.3 m to 48 m, preferably 6 m to 27 m.
[0050] Reference is now made additionally to Figure 3.
[0051] Shown is one of the two cantilever arms 20a, 20b, namely the cantilever arm 20a of the treatment device 8 with the wetting module 10 and the electrical module 12 in the working position.
[0052] In the present exemplary embodiment, the wetting module 10 has a plurality of jointly or individually controllable nozzles 24 for applying the liquid substance mixture ST to plants, which nozzles are arranged in a nozzle row 26 parallel to the applicator row 22. Thus, at least one of the nozzles 24 is assigned to each of the applicator units 18, so that the respective applicator units 18 and nozzles 24 can interact during operation in such a way that plants are first wetted with the liquid substance mixture ST using the nozzles 24 and then subjected to an electro-treatment using the applicator units 18. Deviating from the present exemplary embodiment, several nozzle rows 26 can be provided parallel to the applicator row 22, e.g., in front of and / or behind the applicator row 22. With the nozzle row 26 arranged behind the applicator row 22, for example,a second application of the liquid mixture and / or an application of a further liquid second mixture, which differs in composition from the first mixture, to plants can take place. In the present exemplary embodiment, it is provided that applicators 30a, 30b, 30c (see Figure 5) of the applicator units 18 can be moved individually or in groups into a non-use position. In the present exemplary embodiment, this can be done by a pivoting movement S1 about a first axis. This displacement of the applicator units 18 into their non-use position can take place independently of the nozzles 24 of the wetting module 10 for applying the liquid mixture to plants. In other words, the active nozzles 24 of the wetting module 10 are not moved, but remain in their working position.
[0053] Furthermore, the present embodiment provides for the nozzles 24 of the wetting module 10 to be moved from their working position to a transport position. In the present embodiment, the nozzles 24 of the wetting module 10, together with the applicator units 18 (which are in their non-use position), can be moved to a transport position, e.g., by a second pivoting movement S2 about a second axis whose direction of extension differs from the first axis.
[0054] In other words, in the present embodiment, in a first displacement step, the applicator units 18 are moved from their working position to their non-use position by the first pivoting movement S1. In a second displacement step, the nozzles 24, together with the applicator units 18, are then moved into the transport position by the second pivoting movement S2. Deviating from the present embodiment, it can also be provided that the applicator units 18 and the nozzles 24 can be moved separately from their respective working positions to their respective transport or non-use positions.
[0055] In the present embodiment, the first axis of the first pivoting movement S1 extends transversely to the direction of travel FR and thus in the direction of the respective longitudinal extensions of the two boom arms 20a, 20b, while the second axis of the second pivoting movement S2 extends in the direction of travel FR. In other words, the two boom arms 20a, 20b are folded upwards to bring them into their transport position.
[0056] The liquid substance mixture ST can have at least one component which reduces the electrical contact resistance in the area of the plant surface, wherein the substance mixture ST has at least a first active ingredient component which contains at least one surface-active substance selected from the group consisting of surfactants, and at least a second active ingredient component which contains at least one viscosity-increasing substance selected from the group consisting of pure silicic acids, pyrogenic silicic acids, mixed oxides, magnesium phyllosilicates, organic additives based on biogenic oils and their derivatives, polyamides and modified carbohydrates.
[0057] Furthermore, the liquid substance mixture ST can comprise one or more active ingredient components, wherein one of the active ingredient components has multiple effects, such as the effect of a surface-active substance and the effect of a viscosity-increasing substance.
[0058] Furthermore, the liquid substance mixture ST can contain a soil activator component as an active ingredient, such as yeast and / or lactic acid bacteria or other components that accelerate composting.
[0059] Reference is now made additionally to Figure 4.
[0060] In the present exemplary embodiment, liquid components of the liquid substance mixture ST are stored in storage tanks 28 and diluted with water, e.g. from a water tank (not shown), before use. In this case, the substance mixture ST can already contain all liquid components, e.g. the active ingredient component that reduces the electrical contact resistance and the soil activator component, or the different active ingredient components are only combined when diluted with water or, alternatively, are applied to plants using separate nozzle systems, e.g. in the form of several rows of nozzles 26. In deviation from the present exemplary embodiment, it can also be provided that the liquid substance mixture ST is already stored completely or partially diluted ready for use.
[0061] It may also be provided, for example, to replace the storage tank 28 containing a first substance mixture ST with another storage tank (not shown) containing a different substance mixture (also not shown). Thus, the storage tank 28 can be considered an interchangeable module that is exchanged depending on the intended use.
[0062] Free space created by removing the storage tank 28 can also be used to install other or additional modules. For example, the additional application of the active ingredient component may require additional water addition, for which an additional pump in the form of a pump module (not shown) is used.
[0063] Reference is now made additionally to Figure 5.
[0064] In the present exemplary embodiment, each applicator unit 18 has a plurality of applicators 30a, 30b, 30c for applying direct electrical current to plants, which are arranged one behind the other in the direction of travel FR, so that the plants first come into contact with the first applicator 30a, then with the second applicator 30b, and finally with the third applicator 30c of the applicator unit 18. Deviating from the present exemplary embodiment, more than two applicator units 18 can be provided one behind the other in the direction of travel FR, or more than three applicators 30a, 30b, 30c. In the present exemplary embodiment, the three applicators 30a, 30b, 30c are metallic applicators in order to keep at least the electrical resistance at the respective contact points of the plants as low as possible.
[0065] In the present exemplary embodiment, the three applicators 30a, 30b, 30c are so-called short applicators (also called Short Range Blades - SRBs), whose spacing is in the range of 0.1 m to 0.5 m. In contrast to the present exemplary embodiment, the three applicators 30a, 30b, 30c can be designed as long applicators (also called long-range applicators, tongue applicators or Long Range Blades - LRBs). Such applicators have a spacing of 0.8 m to 1 m, for example. In the present exemplary embodiment, the first applicator 30a is connected to a first polarity P1, the second applicator 30b to a second polarity P2, and the third applicator 30c to the first polarity P1. The first polarity P1 is a positive polarity, and the second polarity P2 is a negative polarity. The applicator units 18 in the present embodiment can therefore also be regarded as an applicator trio.
[0066] In the present embodiment, a first electrical voltage is established between the first applicator 30a and the second applicator 30b due to the difference between the two polarities P1, P2. A second electrical voltage is established between the second applicator 30b and the third applicator 30c, with the first and second voltages being equal. Unlike in the present embodiment, the two electrical voltages can also have different values.
[0067] In the present embodiment, the applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 can be optimized for one application, such as desiccation of potato plants or other land plants. Another applicator row (not shown), also with a plurality of applicator units (also not shown), can, however, be optimized for a different application, such as green manure control. Thus, the applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 can also be considered an interchangeable module that is exchanged depending on the application.
[0068] However, a change from the first substance mixture ST to another substance mixture ST and / or a change from the applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 to another applicator row 22 with a plurality of applicator units 18 requires appropriate parameterization in order to ensure optimal, energy-efficient operation.
[0069] Reference is now additionally made to Figure 6 to explain the structure of a system 32 for treating plants, with which such parameterization can be simplified and made less error-prone.
[0070] The system 32 and its modules can have hardware and / or software components designed accordingly for their respective tasks and / or functions.
[0071] In the present embodiment, a data storage unit 36a is assigned to the storage tank 28, which is designed as an exchangeable module. In the present embodiment, the data storage unit 36a is permanently attached to the storage tank 28, meaning that separating the data storage unit 36a from the storage tank 28 will result in its destruction. In the present embodiment, the data storage unit 36a is designed as an RFID chip, sensor, controller, or other integrated circuit (IC) and allows wireless data transfer, e.g., to an evaluation unit 34, e.g., of the treatment device 8.
[0072] A data set DS1 is archived in the data memory 36a, which is indicative of the substance mixture ST stored in the storage tank 28. This data set can be a code assigned to a predetermined composition of the substance mixture ST, or the data set DS1 directly describes the composition of the substance mixture ST. Furthermore, the data set DS2 can directly contain values for operating parameters.
[0073] Additionally or alternatively, in the present embodiment, a sensor 38 can be provided in a separable, media-carrying connection. The separable, media-carrying connection connects the storage tank 28 to the nozzle row 26 with the plurality of nozzles 24 in order to supply the nozzles 24 with the liquid substance mixture ST.
[0074] With the sensor 38, for example, a measured value MW for the electrical conductivity, the color, the optical transmittance (turbidity), the density, or the viscosity of the liquid substance mixture ST can be recorded. Deviating from the present embodiment, combinations of these values can be recorded using a plurality of sensors, e.g., combined into a sensor array.
[0075] In the present embodiment, the data set DS1 and / or the measured value MW are read in and evaluated by the evaluation unit 34 to determine an identification data set IDS1. The identification data set IDS1 can contain a code to which a predetermined composition of the substance mixture ST is assigned, or the identification data set IDS1 directly describes the composition of the substance mixture ST.
[0076] In the present embodiment, the evaluation unit 34 is configured to wirelessly transmit the identification data set IDS1 to a cloud 44. In the present embodiment, a parameter data set PDS1 associated with the identification data set IDS1 is archived in the cloud 44, which contains one or more values for operating parameters of the treatment device 8.
[0077] In the present exemplary embodiment, the cloud 44 is designed to wirelessly transmit the identification data set IDS1 determined in this way to the evaluation unit 34, which transmits the identification data set IDS1 to a control unit (not shown) of the treatment device 8, which evaluates the identification data set IDS1 and effects operation of the treatment device 8 in accordance with the values for operating parameters.
[0078] Similarly, in the present embodiment, a further data storage unit 36b is assigned to the applicator row 22, which is designed as a further interchangeable module with the plurality of applicator units 18. In the present embodiment, the further data storage unit 36b is also permanently attached to the applicator row 22, i.e., separating the further data storage unit 36b from the applicator row 22 will result in its destruction. In the present embodiment, the further data storage unit 36b is also designed as an RFID chip, sensor, controller, or other IC and allows wireless data transfer, e.g., to the evaluation unit 34 of the treatment device 8.
[0079] In the additional data memory 36b, another data set DS2 is archived, which is indicative of the applicator series 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18. This data set can be a machine-readable code to which a predetermined design of the applicator series 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 is assigned, or the additional data set DS2 directly contains values for operating parameters, i.e., the operating parameters in a non-coded but nevertheless machine-readable form.
[0080] In the present exemplary embodiment, a connecting plug 40 is provided in a connection with which operating energy BE is transmitted from the power electronics 42 to the applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 in order to facilitate the change of the applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 to another applicator row.
[0081] Additionally or alternatively, it may be provided that a pin assignment SB of the connecting plug 40 is determined. In other words, the applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 has a pin assignment SB or pin assignment that differs from the pin assignment SB or pin assignment of the other applicator row and thus allows identification.
[0082] In the present exemplary embodiment, the additional data set DS2 and / or the connector pin assignment SB are also read and evaluated by the evaluation unit 34 to determine an additional identification data set IDS2. The additional identification data set IDS2 can contain a machine-readable code to which a predetermined design of the applicator series 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 is assigned, or the additional identification data set IDS2 directly contains values for operating parameters, i.e., the operating parameters in a non-coded but nevertheless machine-readable form.
[0083] Analogously, in the present embodiment, the evaluation unit 34 is configured to wirelessly transmit the additional identification data set IDS2 to the cloud 44. In the present embodiment, a further parameter data set PDS2 associated with the additional identification data set IDS2 is archived in the cloud 44, which contains one or more values for operating parameters of the treatment device 8.
[0084] Analogously, the cloud 44 is designed to wirelessly transmit the further identification data set IDS2 determined in this way to the evaluation unit 34, which transmits the further identification data set IDS2 to a control unit (not shown) of the treatment device 8, which evaluates the further identification data set IDS2 and, for example, causes the power electronics 42 of the treatment device 8 to operate in accordance with the values for operating parameters.
[0085] Furthermore, it can be provided that operating data records (not shown) are recorded during the operation of the treatment device 8 with the connected applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 and also transmitted to the cloud 44. This way, operating data records relating to the operation of this applicator unit 18 are obtained. These operating data records can also be assigned to other operating data records in which this applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18 was used, but together with a different treatment device (not shown). This enables complete life cycle monitoring of the applicator row 22 with the plurality of applicator units 18.
[0086] Analogously, it can be provided that operating data records (not shown) are recorded during the operation of the treatment device 8 with the currently used liquid substance mixture ST and also transmitted to the cloud 44. These operating data records can also be assigned to other operating data records in which this substance mixture ST was used.
[0087] Reference is now additionally made to Figure 7 to explain a method flow for operating the plant treatment system 32.
[0088] In a first step S100, the data set DS1 and / or the further data set DS2 and / or the measured value MS and / or the plug assignment SB of the exchange module, e.g. the storage tank 28 and / or the applicator row 18, are read in.
[0089] In a further step S200, the identification data set IDS1, IDS2 for the corresponding interchangeable module is determined by evaluating the read data sets DS1, DS2, the measured value MS, and / or the pin assignment SB. For this purpose, a data memory 36a, 36b assigned to the interchangeable module can be read out and / or the measured value MW can be determined using sensor 38 and / or the pin assignment SB of the connecting plug 40 can be determined.
[0090] In a further step S300, the parameter data set PDS1, PDS2 is determined by evaluating the identification data set IDS1, IDS2.
[0091] In a further step S400, the treatment device 8 is operated with the assigned exchange module according to the determined parameter data set PDS1, PDS2. Deviating from the present exemplary embodiment, the sequence of the steps may also be different. Furthermore, multiple steps may also be performed concurrently or simultaneously. Furthermore, deviating from the present exemplary embodiment, individual steps may be skipped or omitted.
[0092] In this way, such parameterization is simplified and at the same time, automation can prevent the treatment device 8 from being operated with incorrect parameters using the associated exchange module.
