Description

Cable length calculation method and cable length calculation system

[0001] The present invention relates to a cable length calculation method and a cable length calculation system for calculating the length of a cable relating to a wiring device that is illustrated as a symbol on an architectural drawing.

[0002] Architectural drawings are often used to estimate costs for electrical work, facilities, or fixtures, and various estimates are prepared. A common architectural drawing is a wiring single-line diagram, which depicts wiring fixtures as symbols on a building floor plan. For example, costs related to wiring fixtures may be estimated based on this wiring single-line diagram. In this case, the costs related to the wiring fixtures are calculated by extracting and identifying multiple symbols representing wiring fixtures from the wiring single-line diagram and accumulating the costs according to the type and number of each symbol. However, performing this process manually requires a great deal of effort on the part of the user. Therefore, a method has been proposed for automatically extracting symbols corresponding to wiring fixtures from a wiring single-line diagram using machine learning such as a neural network (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2021-28841

[0004] The cost of wiring devices includes not only the cost of the wiring device itself, but also the cost of the cables (electrical wires) connected to the wiring device. However, simply extracting the symbols representing the wiring device from the wiring single-line diagram does not allow the cost of the cables to be reflected in the estimate. To create a more accurate estimate, it is necessary to calculate the length of the cables required when installing the wiring device and add the cost of the cables separately.

[0005] Furthermore, although wiring single-line diagrams show lines indicating the wiring routes connecting wiring devices, even if the lines indicating the wiring routes could be extracted from the wiring single-line diagram, the lines indicating the wiring routes shown in the wiring single-line diagram simply show the electrical connection relationships between the wiring devices, and do not correspond to the physical cable lengths actually required during installation. Moreover, because the wiring single-line diagram is a plan view, it is not possible to extract depth information from the wiring single-line diagram. In other words, the vertical cable length required to connect the wiring devices cannot be determined from the wiring single-line diagram itself.

[0006] As described above, it has been difficult to calculate the cable length required for installing wiring devices that are shown as symbols on architectural drawings such as wiring single-line diagrams.

[0007] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a cable length calculation method and a cable length calculation system for calculating the length of a cable required for a wiring device shown as a symbol on an architectural drawing.

[0008] In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, one aspect of the cable length calculation method of the present invention is a cable length calculation method for calculating the length of cable required for a wiring device by a processing device based on an architectural drawing on which one or more wiring devices are illustrated as symbols, wherein the architectural drawing is displayed on a display screen, any of a plurality of points on the display screen on which the architectural drawing is displayed is selected with a pointer displayed on the display screen, the length from the first point to the last point among the plurality of points is defined as a first cable length, and the length from the ceiling of a room in which the wiring device is installed to the wiring device is defined as a second cable length, and the processing device calculates the length of cable required for the wiring device by adding the second cable length to the first cable length for each of the symbols included in the plurality of points.

[0009] Furthermore, one aspect of the cable length calculation system according to the present invention is a cable length calculation system for calculating the length of cable required for a wiring device based on an architectural drawing on which one or more wiring devices are illustrated as symbols, the system comprising: a display device having a display screen on which the architectural drawing is displayed; an operating device for operating a pointer displayed on the display screen; and a processing device for calculating the length of cable required for the wiring device. By operating the pointer with the operating device, any of a plurality of points on the display screen on which the architectural drawing is displayed is selected, and the length from the first point to the last point of the plurality of points is defined as a first cable length, and the length from the ceiling of the room in which the wiring device is installed to the wiring device is defined as a second cable length. The processing device calculates the length of cable required for the wiring device by adding the second cable length to the first cable length for each of the symbols included in the plurality of points.

[0010] The length of cable required for a wiring fixture that is symbolically depicted on the architectural drawing can be calculated.

[0013] Furthermore, each drawing is a schematic diagram and is not necessarily a precise illustration. In each drawing, substantially the same components are denoted by the same reference numerals, and redundant explanations will be omitted or simplified.

[0014] (Embodiment) A cable length calculation system 1 according to an embodiment will be described below. Fig. 1 is a diagram showing the configuration of the cable length calculation system 1 according to an embodiment.

[0015] The cable length calculation system 1 according to this embodiment is a system for calculating the length of cable required for a wiring device based on an architectural drawing on which one or more wiring devices are illustrated as symbols.

[0016] As shown in FIG. 1, the cable length calculation system 1 includes a display device 10, an operation device 20, a processing device 30, and an input device 40.

[0017] The display device 10 is, for example, an image display device such as a monitor. The display device 10 has a display screen 11 on which an image is displayed. Architectural drawings are displayed as images on the display screen 11 of the display device 10. Specifically, the architectural drawings are input to the display device 10 as image data and displayed on the display screen 11. The architectural drawings are created, for example, by a CAD (Computer Aided Design) system or the like.

[0018] In this embodiment, the architectural drawing displayed on the display screen 11 is a wiring single-line diagram. A wiring single-line diagram is an example of an architectural drawing, and is an electrical drawing in which one or more wiring devices are illustrated as symbols on a floor plan of a building. Examples of wiring devices include outlets, switches, ceiling hooks, distribution boards, and switchboards. The wiring single-line diagram illustrates these wiring devices as symbols, as well as wiring routes for electrically connecting the symbols (wiring devices) to each other.

[0019] FIG. 2 shows an example of a wiring single-line diagram 2. In the wiring single-line diagram 2 shown in FIG. 2, a plurality of symbols 3 corresponding to wiring devices are illustrated in a floor plan of a building, and wiring routes 4 for connecting the plurality of symbols 3 are illustrated in solid lines. The plurality of symbols 3 include a plurality of types of symbols 3. There may be one or more of each type of symbol 3. In this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, seven types of symbols are illustrated as the plurality of symbols 3: a first symbol 3a, a second symbol 3b, a third symbol 3c, a fourth symbol 3d, a fifth symbol 3e, a sixth symbol 3f, and a seventh symbol 3g. Note that there may be one or more of each of the first symbol 3a to the seventh symbol 3g.

[0020] The building shown in the wiring single line diagram 2 has one or more rooms. The wiring single line diagram 2 shown in FIG. 2 illustrates four rooms: rooms A, B, C, and D. One or more wiring devices are installed in each room. Therefore, one or more symbols 3 are illustrated for each room in the wiring single line diagram 2. The wiring route 4 connecting the multiple symbols 3 may be independent for each room without extending to adjacent rooms, or may span multiple rooms.

[0021] Fig. 3 is a diagram for explaining symbols 3 shown in the wiring single-line diagram 2 shown in Fig. 2. Specifically, Fig. 3 shows the correspondence between symbols 3 and wiring devices. As shown in Fig. 3, the wiring device represented by the first symbol 3a is a "wall outlet," the wiring device represented by the second symbol 3b is a "floor outlet," the wiring device represented by the third symbol 3c is a "ceiling outlet," the wiring device represented by the fourth symbol 3d is a "Joint Box (registered trademark)," the wiring device represented by the fifth symbol 3e is a "downlight," the wiring device represented by the sixth symbol 3f is a "ceiling hook," and the wiring device represented by the seventh symbol 3g is a "distribution board."

[0022] The operation device 20 is a device operated by a user. The operation device 20 is a user interface such as a mouse, which accepts input from a user and operates a pointer 21 displayed on the display screen 11 of the display device 10 when operated by the user. The pointer 21 is displayed as an arrow mark on the display screen 11, for example. The operation device 20, which is a mouse, can move the pointer 21 on the display screen 11, point to an object displayed on the display screen 11 with the pointer 21, and select an object displayed on the display screen 11 by clicking.

[0023] By operating the pointer 21 with the operation device 20, any multiple points on the display screen 11 displaying the wiring single-line diagram 2 are selected. The multiple points selected by the pointer 21 include one or more symbols 3 illustrated in the wiring single-line diagram 2 displayed on the display screen 11. For example, the user can select the symbol 3 by moving the pointer 21, placing the pointer 21 over the symbol 3, and clicking the operation device 20 (mouse). Note that the point selected by the pointer 21 may be any point on the display screen 11 other than the symbol 3.

[0024] The processing device 30 is, for example, an information processing device such as a computer. The processing device 30 has a processor (CPU), a memory, a circuit, etc., and executes various processes. For example, the processor executes each process by calculating data to be processed and outputting the calculation results to a memory, etc.

[0025] In this embodiment, the processing device 30 performs a process of calculating the cable length required for a wiring device. Specifically, if the length from the first point to the last point of multiple points selected by the operation device 20 is defined as a first cable length L1 and the length from the ceiling of the room in which the wiring device is installed to the wiring device is defined as a second cable length L2, the processing device 30 calculates the cable length required for the wiring device by adding the second cable length L2 for each symbol 3 included in the multiple points to the first cable length L1. A specific method for calculating the cable length will be described later.

[0026] The input device 40 is a user interface such as a keyboard, and receives input from a user. The user operates the input device 40 to input characters, numbers, etc. into an input screen displayed on the display screen 11.

[0027] In the present embodiment, the display device 10, the operation device 20, the processing device 30, and the input device 40 are separate devices, but this is not limiting. For example, the display device 10, the operation device 20, the processing device 30, and the input device 40 may be integrated into a notebook personal computer (laptop), a tablet terminal, or the like.

[0028] Next, a cable length calculation method using the cable length calculation system 1 will be described. The cable length calculation method according to this embodiment calculates the length of cable required for a wiring device based on an architectural drawing on which one or more wiring devices are illustrated as symbols 3. Specifically, a user operates the operation device 20 while viewing the wiring single-line diagram 2 displayed on the display screen 11 of the display device 10, by manipulating the pointer 21 displayed on the display screen 11 or by inputting characters, numbers, etc. into the input device 40, thereby calculating the length of cable required for installation, including the height-wise cable length (offset), for the wiring device corresponding to the symbol 3 illustrated on the wiring single-line diagram 2. A specific method for calculating the cable length will be described below.

[0029] First, the second cable length L2 is calculated in advance by inputting the ceiling height of the room in which the wiring device will be installed and the height of the wiring device from the floor into the processing device 30. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 4 , the ceiling height of each room in the building illustrated in the wiring single-line diagram 2 is input into an input screen 5a related to ceiling heights displayed on the display screen 11. For example, the ceiling heights of rooms A, B, C, and D are input. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 5 , the heights from the floor of the wiring devices corresponding to each of the multiple symbols 3 illustrated in the wiring single-line diagram 2 are input into an input screen 5b related to wiring device heights from the floor displayed on the display screen 11. For example, the heights from the floor of the wiring devices corresponding to each of the seven types of symbols 3 illustrated in the wiring single-line diagram 2 are input. Note that the user inputs numbers into the input screens 5a and 5b using the input device 40.

[0030] By inputting the ceiling height of each room into input screen 5a and the height of each wiring device from the floor into input screen 5b, the ceiling height of each room and the height of each wiring device from the floor are input to processing device 30. Processing device 30 calculates second cable length L2 for each wiring device based on the input ceiling height of each room and the height of each wiring device from the floor. Specifically, second cable length L2 for each wiring device is calculated by subtracting the height of the wiring device from the ceiling height of the room.

[0031] After inputting the ceiling height of each room and the height of the wiring fixture from the floor, the wiring single-line diagram 2 is displayed on the display screen 11 of the display device 10, as shown in FIG. 6A . At this time, a predetermined enclosed area including the symbol 3 is set on the display screen 11. Specifically, the enclosed area is set by drawing a rectangular enclosed frame 6 on the display screen 11 by dragging the pointer 21 displayed on the display screen 11. In other words, the enclosed frame 6 drawn by the user is set as the enclosed area. In this embodiment, the entire wiring single-line diagram 2 displayed on the display screen 11 is enclosed by the enclosed frame 6, so that all symbols 3 shown in the wiring single-line diagram 2 are enclosed by the enclosed frame 6. Note that although the line indicating the enclosed frame 6 is displayed on the display screen 11, it does not have to be displayed on the display screen 11.

[0032] After the enclosing area (enclosing frame 6) is set, the length of the cable required for the wiring device is calculated by sequentially selecting any multiple points on the display screen 11 displaying the wiring single-line diagram 2 with a pointer 21 displayed on the display screen 11, as shown in Figures 6B to 6D. In this embodiment, symbols 3 included in the wiring single-line diagram 2 displayed on the display screen 11 are sequentially selected with the pointer 21. At this time, it is determined whether the selected symbol 3 is included in the enclosing frame 6, and if the selected symbol 3 is included in the enclosing frame 6, a second cable length L2 (described later) is added to calculate the length of the cable.

[0033] A specific method for selecting the symbols 3 included in the wiring single-line diagram 2 will be described in detail below with reference to FIGS. 6B to 6D.

[0034] First, as shown in Fig. 6B , one symbol 3 out of the plurality of symbols 3 is selected with the pointer 21 as the first point. In this embodiment, the fourth symbol 3d in room A is selected with the pointer 21. Specifically, the pointer 21 is placed over the fourth symbol 3d in room A and the operation device 20 is clicked. At this time, a first selection point P1 (a black circle in Fig. 6C ) indicating the position selected as the first point is displayed on the display screen 11. In this embodiment, the first selection point P1 is displayed at a position overlapping with the fourth symbol 3d in room A.

[0035] Next, as shown in FIG. 6C , one of the multiple symbols 3 is selected with the pointer 21 as the second point. In this embodiment, one of the four first symbols 3 a in room A is selected with the pointer 21. Specifically, the selected first symbol 3 a is placed over the pointer 21 and the operation device 20 is clicked. At this time, a second selection point P2 (a black circle in FIG. 6C ) indicating the position selected as the second point is displayed on the display screen 11, and a connecting line 7 a is displayed as a line connecting the first selection point P1 indicating the first point and the second selection point P2 indicating the second point. The connecting line 7 a is, for example, a colored solid line.

[0036] Next, as shown in FIG. 6D , one symbol 3 of the multiple symbols 3 is selected with the pointer 21 as the third point. In this embodiment, a first symbol 3 a different from the first symbol 3 a selected as the second point out of the four first symbols 3 a in room A is selected with the pointer 21. Specifically, the selected first symbol 3 a is placed over the pointer 21 and the operation device 20 is clicked. At this time, a third selection point P3 (a black circle in FIG. 6D ) indicating the position selected as the third point is displayed on the display screen 11, and a connecting line 7 b is displayed as a line connecting the second selection point P2 indicating the second point and the third selection point P3 indicating the third point. Like the connecting line 7 a, the connecting line 7 b is, for example, a colored solid line.

[0037] In this embodiment, the third selected point P3 corresponding to the third selected symbol 3 is determined to be the last point. In this case, the processing device 30 can determine that this is the last point by the user's operation of the operation device 20 or the input device 40. For example, by double-clicking the operation device 20 and selecting symbol 3 with the pointer 21, the processing device 30 can determine that symbol 3 has been selected as the last point.

[0038] Once the last point is determined, the processing device 30 calculates the length from the first point to the last point among the multiple points selected by the pointer 21 as the first cable length L1, and calculates the length of the cable required for the wiring device by adding the second cable length L2 calculated in advance for each symbol 3 included in the multiple points selected by the pointer 21 to the first cable length L1.

[0039] In this embodiment, a first selection point P1, a second selection point P2, and a third selection point P3 corresponding to three symbols 3 in room A are selected, and therefore, as shown in Figure 7, the sum of the length of the connecting line 7a connecting the first point (first selection point P1) and the second point (second selection point P2) and the length of the connecting line 7b connecting the second point (second selection point P2) and the third point (third selection point P3), which is the last point, is calculated as the first cable length L1.

[0040] Then, by adding the second cable length L2 of each of the three selected symbols 3 to this first cable length L1, the cable length required for the three wiring devices corresponding to the three symbols 3 can be calculated.

[0041] 7 , in this embodiment, the first selected symbol 3 is the fourth symbol 3d, which indicates a joint box (registered trademark) installed on the ceiling 100, and therefore the second cable length L2 of the first selected symbol 3 (fourth symbol 3d) is zero. Therefore, by adding the second cable lengths L2 for the second selected symbol 3 (first symbol 3a) and the third selected symbol 3 (first symbol 3a) to the first cable length L1, the cable lengths required for the three wiring devices corresponding to these three symbols 3 are calculated. Note that the second cable length L2 is calculated by subtracting the height of the wiring device from the floor surface 200 from the height of the ceiling 100 of the room, as described above.

[0042] In addition, in this embodiment, only a plurality of symbols 3 are intermittently selected (clicked) without drawing a line between two symbols 3 with the pointer 21, but this is not limiting. For example, symbols 3 may be selected while dragging and moving the pointer 21 to draw connecting lines 7a, 7b between two symbols 3 with the pointer 21. In other words, symbols 3 may be selected sequentially while drawing the pointer 21 in one stroke from the first selection point to the last selection point. In this case, the connecting lines 7a, 7b can be drawn as lines of any shape by the user's operation of the pointer 21, and may be lines other than straight lines.

[0043] As described above, according to the cable length calculation system 1 and cable length calculation method of the present embodiment, any of a plurality of points on the display screen 11 displaying the wiring single-line diagram 2 is selected with the pointer 21, and the length of the cable required for a wiring device is calculated by adding, for each symbol 3 included in the selected plurality of points, a first cable length L1 which is the length from the first point to the last point of the selected plurality of points, and a second cable length L2 which is the length from the ceiling 100 of the room in which the wiring device is installed to the wiring device.

[0044] This makes it possible to calculate the cable length taking into account the cable length (offset) in the height direction of the wiring device corresponding to symbol 3, thereby making it possible to calculate the cable length required when installing the wiring device shown as symbol 3 in the wiring single-line diagram 2. Therefore, it is possible to create a more accurate estimate for the wiring device (symbol 3) shown in the wiring single-line diagram 2.

[0045] In addition, in this embodiment, before calculating the length of cable required for the wiring device, the second cable length L2 is calculated in advance based on the height of the ceiling 100 in the room where the wiring device is installed and the height of the wiring device from the floor surface 200.

[0046] This makes it possible to easily calculate the length of the cable required for the wiring device symbolically illustrated in the wiring single-line diagram 2.

[0047] In the present embodiment, only one cable is connected to one wiring fixture, and as shown in FIG. 7 , the height-direction cable connected to the wiring fixture extends only downward from the ceiling 100 to the wiring fixture. However, this is not limited to this. That is, two cables may be connected to one wiring fixture. For example, as shown in FIG. 8 , the height-direction cable connected to the wiring fixture may be composed of a first cable extending downward from the ceiling 100 to the wiring fixture and a second cable extending upward from the wiring fixture to the ceiling 100. In this case, the second cable length L2, which is the length from the ceiling 100 to the wiring fixture, is the sum of the length L2a of the first cable and the length L2b of the second cable.

[0048] In the above embodiment, the cable length is calculated for only one route, from the first selection point P1 to the second selection point P2 to the third selection point P3, as shown in FIG. 6D . However, this is not limiting. For example, as shown in FIG. 9 , the cable length may be calculated for each of two routes: a first route from the first selection point P1 to the second selection point P2 to the third selection point P3 and a second route from the first selection point Q1 to the second selection point Q2 to the third selection point Q3. In this case, the cable length for the second route from the first selection point Q1 to the second selection point Q2 to the third selection point Q3 can be calculated in the same manner as for the first route from the first selection point P1 to the second selection point P2 to the third selection point P3. Specifically, the fourth symbol 3d in room A is selected as the first selection point Q1, the fourth symbol 3d in room D is selected as the second selection point Q2, the fourth symbol 3d in room D is selected as the third (last) selection point Q3. At this time, the second symbol 3b existing between the first selection point Q1 and the second selection point Q2 on the second route is not selected because it has not been clicked with the pointer 21. In this way, even if a symbol 3 is straddled, if that symbol 3 is not selected, that symbol 3 can be excluded from calculation of the cable length.

[0049] Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 10 , the display screen 11 may display an input screen for inputting the cable type, number of cores, thickness, and unit price. This allows the user to input the cable type, number of cores, thickness, and unit price, thereby enabling the creation of a more accurate estimate. In this case, when calculating the cable length for each of multiple routes as shown in FIG. 9 , the cable type, number of cores, thickness, and unit price may be input for each route as shown in FIG. 10 . Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 10 , the color of the connecting line connecting two symbols 3 may be changed for each route. This allows the color of the connecting line displayed on the display screen 11 to be changed for each route, making it easy for the user to understand which route's cable length is being calculated. In other words, the user can visually and easily understand which route's cable length is being calculated.

[0050] In addition, in the above embodiment, the processing device 30 may automatically extract a plurality of symbols 3 from the wiring single-line diagram 2, classify the plurality of symbols 3 by type of wiring device using machine learning, and calculate the number of the plurality of symbols 3 for each type.

[0051] This allows for efficient estimation of wiring devices.

[0052] In this case, the processing device 30 may automatically set the type, number of cores, and thickness of the cable required for the wiring device according to the type of the classified symbol 3 .

[0053] This allows for efficient estimation of wiring devices taking into account the length of the cable.

[0054] (Modifications) Although the cable length calculation method and cable length calculation system according to the present invention have been described above based on the embodiments, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments.

[0055] For example, in the above embodiment, the height from the floor of wiring devices could only be set to the same value for wiring devices of the same type, as shown in Fig. 5, but this is not limited to this. Specifically, even for wiring devices of the same type, the height from the floor may be set for each individual wiring device. In this case, as shown in Fig. 11, a window may be displayed in which the height from the floor of each wiring device can be individually set by, for example, hovering the pointer 21 over a specific symbol 3 shown in the wiring single-line diagram 2 displayed on the display screen 11 and right-clicking the operation device 20 (mouse).

[0056] In the above embodiment, when a plurality of points on the display screen 11 displaying the wiring single-line diagram 2 are selected with the pointer 21, only the symbol 3 shown on the wiring single-line diagram 2 is selected, but this is not limiting. Specifically, a portion other than the symbol 3 on the wiring single-line diagram 2 may be selected. For example, the first point and / or the last point serving as the starting point of the cable may be a point other than the symbol 3. In this way, it is sufficient that at least one symbol 3 is included in the plurality of points selected with the pointer 21.

[0057] In addition, the present disclosure also includes forms obtained by applying various modifications to the above-described embodiments that would occur to those skilled in the art, and forms realized by arbitrarily combining the components and functions of the embodiments within the scope of the present invention. Furthermore, the present invention also includes any combination of two or more claims from the multiple claims set forth in the claims at the time of filing, provided that there is no technical contradiction. For example, when a dependent claim set forth in the claims at the time of filing is made into a multiple claim or multiple multiple claims that cites all of the superordinate claims within the scope of the technical contradiction, the present invention also includes all combinations of claims included in that multiple claim or multiple multiple multiple claims.

[0058] The program for executing each of the above processes may be recorded on a non-transitory recording medium such as a computer-readable CD-ROM. In this case, the computer reads the program from the non-transitory recording medium and executes the program to execute each process. For example, the cable length calculation method may be realized as a program that causes a computer to execute the method, or as a computer-readable recording medium on which such a program is recorded.
