Abstract
Description
Mounted glass plate
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a mounted glass plate.
[0002] In recent years, technology has been developed to vibrate a glass plate to function as a speaker. International Publication No. 2021 / 229180 discloses a structure in which an exciter (vibration component) is attached to the sole by screws.
[0003] However, vibrations of the screwed parts during operation of the exciter can weaken the fastening force of the exciter, leaving room for improvement in terms of preventing the exciter and other vibrating components from falling off the sole (glass plate). Furthermore, the base (mounting part) to which the exciter is screwed is fitted into a hole formed in the sole (glass plate). Forming a hole in the sole (glass plate) not only complicates the process but also raises the risk of damage to the sole (glass plate) due to tiny cracks formed in the hole. While a commonly known method is to fix the base (mounting part) to which the exciter is screwed to the sole (glass plate) with adhesive, simply fixing the base (mounting part) to the sole (glass plate) with adhesive can damage the adhesive at the sole (glass plate) interface due to external impacts or long-term operation of the exciter, potentially causing the base (mounting part) to fall off.
[0004] An object of the present disclosure is to provide a glass plate with a mount that can prevent a vibrating part from falling off the glass plate.
[0005] The mounted glass plate according to the present disclosure is a mounted glass plate having a glass plate constituting a window glass and a mounting member attached to the glass plate, wherein the mounting member includes a main body portion attached to the interior side of the glass plate and to which a vibrating component is attached, and an extension portion extending from the main body portion toward the outer periphery and sandwiched between the glass plate and a frame to which the glass plate is fixed.
[0006] Furthermore, in the mount-equipped glass plate according to the present disclosure, the extension may be fixed to the interior-facing surface of the frame.
[0007] The mount-equipped glass plate according to the present disclosure can prevent the vibrating component from falling off the glass plate.

[0009] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the mount-equipped glass plate according to the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. While the following description will be given of a case where the mount-equipped glass plate is applied to a window glass for a vehicle, the mount-equipped glass plate according to the present disclosure may be applied to any moving object other than a vehicle, such as an airplane, helicopter, ship, or train. Furthermore, the mount-equipped glass plate according to the present disclosure may be applied to a window glass for a building or other structure.
[0010] First Embodiment A mount-attached glass plate 10 according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to the drawings.
[0011] Fig. 1 is a schematic front view of a mount-equipped glass plate 10 as viewed from the main surface side. As shown in Fig. 1, in this embodiment, the mount-equipped glass plate 10 is applied to a rear window (back glass) of a vehicle. The mount-equipped glass plate 10 is configured to include a rear window 12 as a glass plate and a mount member 14. In the following description, for convenience of explanation, the up-down direction (up-down direction on the paper surface of Fig. 1) when the mount-equipped glass plate 10 is viewed from the front will be referred to as "up-down" and the left-right direction (left-right direction on the paper surface of Fig. 1) will be referred to as "left-right."
[0012] The rear windshield 12 constitutes the vehicle's window glass and is fixed to the vehicle body (not shown) in a state where it cannot be raised or lowered. The rear windshield 12 is often a single-pane glass, but it may also be a laminated glass consisting of two glass plates bonded together with a resin interlayer. The rear windshield 12 is made of transparent or translucent inorganic glass. Examples of inorganic glass that can be used include soda-lime glass, aluminosilicate glass, borosilicate glass, alkali-free glass, and quartz glass.
[0013] When the back glass 12 is inorganic glass and is a single-pane glass, it is preferable that the back glass 12 be tempered glass. Tempered glass is glass that has a compressive stress layer formed on the surface of untempered glass, and may be either air-tempered or chemically tempered glass. When the tempered glass is physically tempered glass (e.g., air-tempered glass), the glass surface may be tempered by generating a compressive stress layer on the glass surface due to a temperature difference between the glass surface and the interior of the glass through an operation other than gradual cooling, such as rapidly cooling a uniformly heated glass sheet from a temperature near its softening point during bending. When the tempered glass is chemically tempered glass, the glass surface may be tempered by generating compressive stress on the glass surface using an ion exchange method or the like after bending.
[0014] When the rear glass 12 is a laminated glass in which two glass sheets are bonded with a resin intermediate layer, both sheets may be untempered glass, only one may be tempered glass, or both may be tempered glass. When both sheets are tempered glass, both may be air-cooled tempered glass, both may be chemically tempered glass, or one may be cold-tempered glass and the other may be chemically tempered glass.
[0015] The back glass 12 may be made of organic glass, such as PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) resin, PC (polycarbonate) resin, PS (polystyrene) resin, PET (polyethylene terephthalate) resin, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) resin, or cellulose resin.
[0016] When the rear window 12 is a single piece of glass, the thickness of the rear window 12 is preferably 0.5 mm or more, more preferably 1.0 mm or more, and even more preferably 1.5 mm or more. This improves the rigidity and strength of the rear window 12, making it more susceptible to piston vibration. Furthermore, when the rear window 12 is a single piece of glass, from the viewpoint of reducing the weight of the mount-equipped glass plate 10, the thickness of the rear window 12 is preferably 10.0 mm or less, more preferably 7.0 mm or less, and even more preferably 5.0 mm or less.
[0017] When the rear window 12 is constructed of laminated glass in which two glass plates are bonded together with a resin intermediate layer, the thickness of each of the pair of glass plates constituting the rear window 12 is preferably 0.5 mm or more, more preferably 1.0 mm or more, and even more preferably 1.5 mm or more. The pair of glass plates constituting the rear window 12 may have the same or different thicknesses, but the same thickness is preferred from the viewpoint of stabilizing sound pressure. Furthermore, the total thickness of the rear window 12 is preferably 1.0 mm or more, more preferably 2.0 mm or more, and even more preferably 3.0 mm or more. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of reducing the weight of the mount-equipped glass plate 10, the total thickness is preferably 10.0 mm or less, more preferably 8.0 mm or less, and even more preferably 6.0 mm or less.
[0018] When the rear glass 12 is laminated glass, the intermediate layer can be, for example, a transparent polyvinyl butyral (PVB)-based or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA)-based resin film, or a resin film containing a thermosetting adhesive material such as a silicone (PDMS)-based, polyurethane-based, fluorine-based, polyethylene terephthalate-based, or polycarbonate-based material. The intermediate layer may also contain a material that enhances sound insulation, a material that enhances rigidity, or a material that absorbs ultraviolet or infrared light. The intermediate layer may also be a liquid or gel-like intermediate layer. Specific examples of liquid intermediate layers include water, oil, organic solvents, liquid polymers, ionic liquids, and mixtures thereof. More specifically, examples of the gel-like intermediate layer include propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, tripropylene glycol, straight silicone oil (dimethyl silicone oil, methylphenyl silicone oil, methylhydrogen silicone oil), modified silicone oil, acrylic acid polymer, liquid polybutadiene, glycerin paste, fluorine-based solvent, fluorine-based resin, acetone, ethanol, xylene, toluene, water, mineral oil, and mixtures thereof. Among these, it is preferable to include at least one selected from the group consisting of propylene glycol, dimethyl silicone oil, methylphenyl silicone oil, methylhydrogen silicone oil, and modified silicone oil, and it is more preferable to use propylene glycol or silicone oil as the main component. Specific examples of the gel-like intermediate layer include carbon-based, fluorine-based, and silicone-based polymer materials. Specific examples include ABS, AES, AS, CA, CN, CPE, EEA, EVA, EVOH, IO, PMMA, PMP, PP, PS, PVC, RB, TPA, TPE, TPEE, TPF, TPO, TPS, TPU, TPVC, AAS, ACS, PET, PPE, PA6, PA66, PBN, PBT, PC, POM, PPO, ETFE, FEP, LCP, PEEK, PEI, PES, PFA, PPS, PSV, PTFE, PVDF, silicone, polyurethane, PI, and PF. Alternatively, composite materials combining the above materials may be used. The above materials may be used alone or in combination of two or more. The thickness of the intermediate layer may be, for example, 0.1 μm or more and 3.0 mm or less, 1.0 μm or more and 2.8 mm or less, or 3.0 μm or more and 2.6 mm or less.
[0019] The rear window 12 of this embodiment is formed, for example, in a substantially rectangular shape with the longitudinal direction being the width direction of the vehicle, and corner portions 12A are formed at each of the four corners of the rear window 12. Mount members 14 are attached to each of the four corner portions 12A. The mount members 14 will be described in detail later.
[0020] An adhesive 16 is provided on the main surface of the rear windshield 12. The adhesive 16 is provided continuously around the outer peripheral edge of the rear windshield 12. Spacers 18 may also be provided on the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the main surface of the rear windshield 12. When spacers 18 are provided on the top, bottom, left, and right sides of the main surface of the rear windshield 12, the top and bottom spacers 18 may be provided at the center of the top edge of the rear windshield 12 in the left-right direction and the center of the bottom edge of the rear windshield 12 in the left-right direction. The left and right spacers 18 may also be provided at the center of the right edge of the rear windshield 12 in the up-down direction and the center of the left edge of the rear windshield 12 in the up-down direction.
[0021] A coating film may be formed on the rear glass 12. Examples of the coating film include a low-E (low emissivity) film, an anti-glare (AG) film, an anti-reflection (AR) film, an anti-fingerprint (AF) film, a UV (ultraviolet) cut film, an anti-fogging film, an anti-fungal film, and a water-repellent film.
[0022] Furthermore, the rear window 12 may be colored glass baked in blue, red, green, gray, or the like, or may be privacy glass. Privacy glass is glass with lower transparency than green glass and clear glass, and is also called dark gray glass. Privacy glass can be achieved by adjusting the total iron content, converted to Fe2O3, in the rear window 12. The visible light transmittance of the privacy glass can be adjusted to approximately 40 to 50% when the plate thickness is 1.8 mm, and approximately 30 to 45% when the plate thickness is 2.0 mm, for example. The rear window 12 may also be photochromic glass. Light-controlling glass has a light-controlling film sandwiched between two sheets of glass, which electrically changes the visible light transmittance. Examples of light-controlling films that can be used include twisted nematic (TN) liquid crystal films, vertical alignment (VA) liquid crystal films, polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) films, suspended particle device (SPD) films, polymer network liquid crystal (PNLC) films, guest host liquid crystal (GHLC) films, electrochromic materials, and photochromic materials.
[0023] Fig. 2 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a main portion of the mount-equipped glass plate 10 according to the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 2, adhesive 16 is interposed between the main surface of the rear windshield 12 and the vehicle body 100 serving as a frame, thereby bonding the rear windshield 12 to the vehicle body 100. In this embodiment, as an example, the vehicle body 100 to which the rear windshield 12 is attached is made of metal, but this is not limited thereto and may be made of resin or the like.
[0024] The spacer 18 is sandwiched between the rear window 12 and the vehicle body 100, and the spacer 18 ensures a gap between the main surface of the rear window 12 and the vehicle body 100. The spacer 18 may be made of a hard resin or the like.
[0025] A clip 20 is provided between the main surface of the rear windshield 12 and the vehicle body 100. The clip 20 includes a head portion 20A that is clamped between the rear windshield 12 and the vehicle body 100, and a protruding portion 20B that protrudes from the head portion 20A toward the vehicle body 100 and is inserted into the vehicle body 100. The head portion 20A is adhered to the rear windshield 12 via an adhesive (not shown).
[0026] In this embodiment, as an example, the rear window 12 is attached to the vehicle body 100 using the adhesive 16 and the clips 20, but this is not limitative and the rear window 12 may be attached to the vehicle body 100 by other means. For example, a combination of adhesive tape, hook-and-loop fasteners, bolts, nails, rivets, etc. may also be used.
[0027] 1, a mount member 14 is attached to a corner portion 12A on the main surface of the rear window 12 facing the interior. The mount member 14 includes a main body portion 14A and an extension portion 14B, and the extension portion 14B extends from the main body portion 14A toward the corner of the rear window 12.
[0028] FIG. 3 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a main portion taken along line 3-3 in FIG. 1 . As shown in FIG. 3 , a light-shielding layer 22 of a predetermined width is provided around the peripheral edge of the rear windshield 12. The light-shielding layer 22 is formed of a color ceramic layer (e.g., black, dark, or white), or a color ink layer printed with organic or inorganic ink. The light-shielding layer 22 is provided continuously around the entire peripheral edge of the rear windshield 12, but at least a portion of the rear windshield 12 may have an area without the light-shielding layer 22. The light-shielding layer 22 prevents adhesives and other components from being visible from outside the vehicle. The mounting member 14 of this embodiment is attached at the location where the light-shielding layer 22 is provided. A defogger (not shown) for clearing fogging (anti-fogging) may be provided on the interior surface of the rear light glass 12. The defogger has multiple heater wires extending across the width of the rear windshield 12 and two bus bars extending vertically, with several heater wires formed between the two bus bars. The defogger is formed by printing and baking a silver paste containing silver powder and glass frit on the surface of the backlight glass 12. It is preferable that the mount member 14 is attached so as not to overlap with the two bus bars.
[0029] The mount member 14 may be formed from a metal such as stainless steel, aluminum, or titanium, or at least a portion of the mount member 14 may be formed from a resin such as plastic. As the plastic, general engineering plastics such as ABS, PVC, PC, PP, PBT, PA66, and PPS may be used, or fiber-reinforced plastics including glass fiber and carbon fiber may be used.
[0030] The thinner the thickness of the main body 14A of the mounting member 14, the lower the profile, and the thinner the thickness is, preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 30 mm or less, even more preferably 20 mm or less, and particularly preferably 10 mm or less. The main body 14A is formed in a flat cylindrical shape, but may be formed in a shape other than a circle in a plan view, such as a rectangular shape or a polygonal shape.
[0031] Furthermore, the larger the size of the main body portion 14A, the more firmly the vibrator 26 can be attached, and a diameter of 5 mm or more is preferred, 10 mm or more is more preferred, 15 mm or more is even more preferred, and 20 mm or more is particularly preferred.
[0032] Furthermore, the smaller the main body portion 14A, the more preferable it is in terms of suppressing deterioration in design, and a diameter of 500 mm or less is preferable, 300 mm or less is more preferable, 200 mm or less is even more preferable, and 100 mm or less is particularly preferable.
[0033] Furthermore, the main body 14A may be provided with an electrical connection mechanism such as a terminal or connector for connecting the wiring of the vibrator 26 to electricity.
[0034] The mount member 14 is attached to the rear glass 12 via an adhesive layer 28. Adhesives, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and the like can be used as the adhesive layer 28. For example, acrylic, silicone, urethane, epoxy, phenolic, and epoxysilicone materials may be used. Furthermore, adhesives that are thermosetting, moisture-curing, two-component curing, ultraviolet curing, visible light curing, anaerobic curing, and the like can be used as the material for the adhesive layer 28. Sheet-shaped adhesive tape can be used as the adhesive.
[0035] The thinner the adhesive layer 28, the more effectively it can transmit vibrations from the vibrator 26 to the rear glass 12, so it is sufficient if the thickness is 3.0 mm or less, preferably 1.0 mm or less, more preferably 0.5 mm or less, and particularly preferably 0.2 mm or less.
[0036] In addition, if the rear window 12 is equipped with a conductive line (e.g., a defogger, an antenna, etc.) formed by printing and baking a paste containing a conductive metal (e.g., silver paste, etc.) on the main surface on the inside of the vehicle, it is preferable that the vibrator 26 and the mounting member 14 be attached so as not to overlap with the conductive line.
[0037] A vibrator 26 is attached to the main body 14A as a vibrating component. The structure for attaching the vibrator 26 to the main body 14A is not particularly limited, and a mechanical fastening structure using bolts, nails, clips, rivets, or the like may be used. Alternatively, a fastening structure may be used in which a slide groove is formed on one of the main body 14A and the vibrator 26, and a protrusion that engages with the slide groove is formed on the other, allowing them to slide. Furthermore, the vibrator 26 may be attached to the main body 14A via an adhesive interface using tape, adhesive, felt, foam, rubber, grease, gel, plastic, or the like.
[0038] A connecting portion (not shown) is provided on the mount member 14 side of the vibrator 26. The connecting portion can be, for example, a male screw portion that screws into a screw hole (not shown) formed in the mount member 14. Furthermore, with the connecting portion screwed into the screw hole, the mount member 14 and the vibrator 26 are in surface contact. Note that when a portion of the mount member 14 is formed from a resin such as plastic, at least the periphery of the screw hole in the mount member 14 may be formed from a hard metal such as stainless steel by inserting a helical insert or the like, and the rest of the mount member 14 may be formed from a soft metal such as aluminum or a resin such as plastic.
[0039] Alternatively, instead of providing a connection portion in the center of the vibrator 26, attachment pieces may extend outward from the peripheral end of the vibrator 26 and the peripheral end of the mount member 14, and the attachment pieces may be fastened together. In this case, the thickness of the portion of the mount member 14 that comes into contact with the vibrator 26 can be made thin.
[0040] The vibrator 26 is connected to a power source (not shown) and is an actuator that vibrates the rear window 12, which is a glass plate structure, in response to an input electrical signal. In this embodiment, the vibrator 26 is, for example, a voice coil motor including a coil and a magnetic circuit. One of the coil and the magnetic circuit is fixed to the rear window 12, and the other is arranged to be movable relative to the rear window 12. When a current flows through the coil, the interaction between the coil and the magnetic circuit generates vibrations, causing the rear window 12 to vibrate (excite) via the mount member 14. The vibration direction is the thickness direction of the vibrator 26. Note that the vibrator 26 is not limited to a voice coil motor. An actuator other than a voice coil motor, such as a piezoelectric actuator, may be used as long as it can transmit the desired vibrations to the rear window 12. In this embodiment, the vibrator 26 is attached to the main body 14A. However, a speaker such as a tweeter may be attached to the main body 14A as another vibrating component. Furthermore, both the vibrator 26 and the speaker may be attached to the main body 14A.
[0041] The extension portion 14B of the mount member 14 extends from the main body portion 14A toward the outer periphery and is sandwiched between the vehicle body 100 and the rear window 12. Here, the extension portion 14B is formed to be thinner than the main body portion 14A.
[0042] Fig. 4 is a perspective view showing the mount member 14 in the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 4, the extension 14B is formed in a generally fan-like shape when viewed in the thickness direction, and the lower surface of the extension 14B is flush with the lower surface of the main body 14A. In addition, in this embodiment, as an example, two through holes 14C are formed in the extension 14B. For example, the extension 14B may be fastened to the vehicle body 100 by inserting bolts into the through holes 14C.
[0043] The thickness of the extension 14B is formed to a dimension that fits the gap between the vehicle body 100 and the rear window 12, and is preferably 0.1 mm to 10 mm, more preferably 0.5 mm to 8 mm, and even more preferably 1.0 mm to 6 mm. Furthermore, the main body 14A is formed in a flat cylindrical shape, but may be formed in a shape other than a circle in a plan view, such as a rectangular shape or a polygonal shape.
[0044] The amount of protrusion of the extension 14B from the main body 14A, i.e., the radial length, is preferably 5 mm to 30 mm, more preferably 10 mm to 25 mm, and particularly preferably 15 mm to 20 mm. The shape of the extension 14B is not limited to a sector shape, and may be a triangle or a rectangle.
[0045] In this embodiment, the extension 14B is formed integrally with the main body 14A, but this is not limiting, and the extension 14B may be formed to be detachable from the main body 14A. When the main body 14A and the extension 14B are formed separately, the main body 14A and the extension 14B may be formed from different materials.
[0046] As described above, in this embodiment, as shown in FIG. 3, the extension portion 14B of the mount member 14 is sandwiched between the vehicle body 100 and the rear window 12, so that even if the adhesive strength of the adhesive layer 28 decreases, the mount member 14 can be effectively prevented from falling off.
[0047] (Modification 1) Fig. 5 is a schematic front view of a mount-equipped glass plate 40 seen from the main surface side in Modification 1. As shown in Fig. 5, in this modification, the four mount members 42 each share the extension portion 42B.
[0048] Two mount members 42 are provided on the upper part of the rear window 12, and two mount members 42 are provided on the lower part of the rear window 12. The two mount members 42 provided on the upper part of the rear window 12 are each disposed near a corner 12A of the rear window 12. That is, a mount member 42 is disposed at the upper right corner 12A and the upper left corner 12A of the rear window 12, respectively.
[0049] The two mount members 42 provided at the bottom of the rear window 12 are disposed at a position slightly offset to the right from the center in the left-right direction on the bottom edge of the rear window 12, and at a position slightly offset to the left from the center in the left-right direction on the bottom edge of the rear window 12.
[0050] Each of the four mount members 42 includes a main body 42A, which is formed in a generally circular shape. The four mount members 42 share a single extension 42B. The extension 42B is formed in a continuous frame shape around the outer peripheral edge of the rear window 12. The extension 42B may be interrupted in part.
[0051] The extension 42B is provided with an attachment mechanism (not shown) for attaching the main body 42A. Examples of the attachment mechanism include mechanical fastening structures such as bolts, claws, clips, rivets, and slide mechanisms. Alternatively, adhesives may be used as the attachment mechanism.
[0052] In this modified example, by sharing the frame-shaped extension portion 42B, the extension portion 42B can be clamped over a wide range of the gap between the vehicle body 100 and the rear window 12.
[0053] (Modification 2) Fig. 6 is a perspective view of the mount member 14 constituting the mount-equipped glass plate of Modification 2. As shown in Fig. 6, in this modification, an engagement protrusion 60 is formed on the extension portion 14B of the mount member 14.
[0054] The engaging protrusion 60 is formed to protrude from the surface of the extension portion 14B, and in this modified example, as an example, the cross section is approximately trapezoidal, but this is not limited to this and the shape of the engaging protrusion may be a shape other than trapezoidal.
[0055] The engaging protrusion 60 is shaped to engage with a groove (not shown) formed in the vehicle body. Therefore, when attaching the mount member 14 to the rear window 12, the engaging protrusion 60 is slid while aligned with the groove on the vehicle body, and the extension 14B is inserted into the gap between the vehicle body and the rear window.
[0056] In this modification, when assembling the mount member 14 to the vehicle body, the positioning of the mount member 14 can be easily achieved by inserting the engaging protrusion 60 into a groove on the vehicle body side. Alternatively, a groove may be formed on the extension 14B of the mount member 14, and an engaging protrusion that can engage with the groove may be formed on the vehicle body side.
[0057] In this modification, the engaging protrusion 60 has a generally trapezoidal cross section, but is not limited to this. For example, it may have a tapered or inverted tapered shape. Furthermore, a structure in which multiple engaging protrusions are provided can produce an anchor effect. Furthermore, the engaging protrusions may be formed in an uneven or wavy shape to increase the frictional force during insertion and make them less likely to fall off.
[0058] Second Embodiment A mount-equipped glass plate 70 according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Fig. 7. Note that the same components as those in the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and descriptions thereof will be omitted where appropriate.
[0059] Fig. 7 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a main part of a mount-equipped glass plate according to a second embodiment, corresponding to Fig. 3. As shown in Fig. 7, in this embodiment, a mount-equipped glass plate 70 is applied to a roof glass 72 of a vehicle. The mount-equipped glass plate 70 includes a roof glass 72 as a glass plate and a mount member 74.
[0060] The roof glass 72 constitutes a window glass of the vehicle and is fixed to the vehicle body 100 in a state where it cannot be raised or lowered. The roof glass 72 is often a single-pane glass, but it may also be a laminated glass in which two glass plates are bonded together with a resin intermediate layer. The roof glass 72 is made of transparent or translucent inorganic glass. Examples of inorganic glass that can be used include soda-lime glass, aluminosilicate glass, borosilicate glass, alkali-free glass, and quartz glass.
[0061] When the roof glass 72 is inorganic glass and is a single-pane glass, it is preferable that the roof glass 72 be tempered glass. Tempered glass is glass that has a compressive stress layer formed on the surface of untempered glass, and may be either air-cooled tempered glass or chemically tempered glass. When the tempered glass is physically tempered glass (e.g., air-cooled tempered glass), the glass surface may be tempered by generating a compressive stress layer on the glass surface due to a temperature difference between the glass surface and the interior of the glass through an operation other than gradual cooling, such as rapidly cooling a glass sheet that has been uniformly heated during bending from a temperature near its softening point. When the tempered glass is chemically tempered glass, the glass surface may be tempered by generating compressive stress on the glass surface using an ion exchange method or the like after bending.
[0062] If the roof glass 72 is a laminated glass consisting of two glass sheets bonded together with a resin intermediate layer, both sheets may be untempered glass, only one may be tempered glass, or both may be tempered glass. If both sheets are tempered glass, both may be air-cooled tempered glass, both may be chemically tempered glass, or one may be cold-tempered glass and the other may be chemically tempered glass.
[0063] The roof glass 72 may be made of organic glass, such as PMMA resin, PC resin, PS resin, PET resin, PVC resin, or cellulose resin.
[0064] When the roof glass 72 is a single sheet of glass, the thickness of the roof glass 72 is preferably 0.5 mm or more, more preferably 1.0 mm or more, and even more preferably 1.5 mm or more. This improves the rigidity and strength of the roof glass 72, making it more susceptible to piston vibration. Furthermore, when the roof glass 72 is a single sheet of glass, from the perspective of reducing the weight of the mounted glass plate 10, the thickness of the roof glass 72 is preferably 10.0 mm or less, more preferably 7.0 mm or less, and even more preferably 5.0 mm or less.
[0065] When the roof glass 72 is constructed of laminated glass in which two glass plates are bonded together with a resin intermediate layer, the thickness of each of the pair of glass plates constituting the roof glass 72 is preferably 0.5 mm or more, more preferably 1.0 mm or more, and even more preferably 1.5 mm or more. The pair of glass plates constituting the roof glass 72 may have the same or different thicknesses, but the same thickness is preferable from the viewpoint of stabilizing sound pressure. Furthermore, the total thickness of the roof glass 72 is preferably 1.0 mm or more, more preferably 2.0 mm or more, and even more preferably 3.0 mm or more. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of reducing the weight of the mount-equipped glass plate 10, the total thickness is preferably 10.0 mm or less, more preferably 8.0 mm or less, and even more preferably 6.0 mm or less.
[0066] The roof glass 72 may be colored glass, such as blue, red, green, or gray, or it may be privacy glass. Privacy glass is glass with lower transparency than green glass and clear glass. Privacy glass is also sometimes called dark gray glass.
[0067] If the roof glass 72 is laminated glass, a light-control film that electrically changes the visible light transmittance may be sandwiched between two glass plates. Examples of light-control films that can be used include twisted nematic (TN) liquid crystal films, vertical alignment (VA) liquid crystal films, polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) films, suspended particle device (SPD) films, polymer network liquid crystal (PNLC) films, guest host liquid crystal (GHLC) films, electrochromic materials, and photochromic materials. Glass that displays images on part or all of the glass plate is also conceivable. A liquid crystal film may be sandwiched as a method for displaying images on the roof glass 72. As another embodiment, a projection screen film may be sandwiched between the glass plates that make up the roof glass 72. Furthermore, a film-like solar cell element may be provided on part or all of the roof glass 72 to generate electricity from sunlight. It is preferable to use a transparent film having excellent transparency as these films in order to ensure visibility as a vehicle window glass. In addition to sandwiching these films between glass plates, the surface of the glass plate may be microfabricated to impart a desired function to the film, as long as the function as a speaker is not lost. Alternatively, the desired function may be imparted by printing or transferring onto the surface of the glass plate, or by attaching a film to the surface of the glass plate.
[0068] A coating film may be formed on the roof glass 72. Examples of the coating film include a low-E (low emissivity) film, an anti-glare (AG) film, an anti-reflection (AR) film, an anti-fingerprint (AF) film, a UV (ultraviolet) blocking film, an anti-fogging film, an anti-fungal film, and a water-repellent film. When the roof glass 72 is laminated glass, the coating film may be formed on the interior surface of the glass sheet that is positioned on the interior side of the vehicle when the roof glass 72 is installed in the vehicle, or on the interior surface of the glass sheet that is positioned on the exterior side of the vehicle. Furthermore, the coating film may be formed on both the interior surface of the glass sheet that is positioned on the interior side and the interior surface of the glass sheet that is positioned on the exterior side of the vehicle.
[0069] A protective member 76 is provided on the outer peripheral edge of the roof glass 72. The protective member 76 is made of resin or metal, and rubber 80 is interposed between the protective member 76 and the roof glass 72. By interposing the rubber 80 between the protective member 76 and the roof glass 72, it is possible to suppress transmission of vibrations of the roof glass 72, which are excited by the vibrator 26, to the vehicle body 100. The protective member 76 may be molded integrally with the roof glass 72 by injection molding of molten resin. In this case, a primer may be applied to the area where the molten resin is injection molded. The protective member 76 may also be molded integrally with the roof glass 72 by RIM (Reaction Injection Molding).
[0070] The protective member 76 is attached to the vehicle body 100. The method for attaching the protective member 76 to the vehicle body 100 is not particularly limited, and for example, a combination of adhesive tape, hook-and-loop fasteners, bolts, clips, nails, rivets, etc. may be used. An adhesive may also be used. Furthermore, a sealant may be interposed between the protective member 76 and the vehicle body 100 to prevent infiltration of water such as rain.
[0071] A mount member 74 is attached to the main surface of the roof glass 72 facing the interior of the vehicle. The mount member 74 may be made of metal such as stainless steel, aluminum, or titanium, or at least a portion of the mount member 74 may be made of resin such as plastic. As the plastic, general engineering plastics such as ABS, PVC, PC, PP, PBT, PA66, and PPS may be used, or fiber-reinforced plastics including glass fiber or carbon fiber may be used.
[0072] The mount member 74 is configured to include a main body portion 74A and an extension portion 74B. The main body portion 74A is attached to the interior side of the roof glass 72, and the vibrator 26 is attached to the main body portion 74A.
[0073] The thinner the thickness of the main body 74A of the mounting member 74, the lower the profile, and the thinner the thickness is, preferably 50 mm or less, more preferably 30 mm or less, even more preferably 20 mm or less, and particularly preferably 10 mm or less. The main body 74A is formed in a flat cylindrical shape, but may be formed in a shape other than a circle in a plan view, such as a rectangle or a polygon.
[0074] Furthermore, the larger the size of the main body portion 74A, the more firmly the vibrator 26 can be attached, and a diameter of 5 mm or more is preferred, 10 mm or more is more preferred, 15 mm or more is even more preferred, and 20 mm or more is particularly preferred.
[0075] Furthermore, the smaller the main body portion 74A, the more preferable it is in terms of suppressing deterioration in design, and a diameter of 500 mm or less is preferable, 300 mm or less is more preferable, 200 mm or less is even more preferable, and 100 mm or less is particularly preferable.
[0076] Furthermore, the main body 74A may be provided with an electrical connection mechanism such as a terminal or connector for connecting the wiring of the vibrator 26 to electricity.
[0077] The main body 74A is attached to the roof glass 72 via an adhesive layer 78. As the adhesive layer 78, an adhesive or a pressure-sensitive adhesive may be used as appropriate. For example, acrylic, silicone, urethane, epoxy, phenol, or epoxy silicone materials may be used. Furthermore, as the material for the adhesive layer 78, adhesives having properties such as thermosetting, moisture-curing, two-component curing, ultraviolet curing, visible light curing, and anaerobic curing may be used. As the pressure-sensitive adhesive, a sheet-shaped adhesive tape may be used.
[0078] The thinner the adhesive layer 78, the more effectively it can transmit vibrations from the vibrator 26 to the roof glass 72, so it is sufficient if the thickness is 3.0 mm or less, preferably 1.0 mm or less, more preferably 0.5 mm or less, and particularly preferably 0.2 mm or less.
[0079] The structure for attaching the vibrator 26 to the main body 74A is not particularly limited, and a mechanical fastening structure such as adhesive tape, hook-and-loop fasteners, bolts, nails, clips, or rivets may be used. Alternatively, a fastening structure may be used in which a slide groove is formed on one of the main body 74A and the vibrator 26, and a protrusion that engages with the slide groove is formed on the other, and the vibrator 26 is fastened by sliding. Furthermore, the vibrator 26 may be attached to the main body 74A via an adhesive interface such as tape, adhesive, felt, foam, rubber, grease, gel, or plastic.
[0080] An extension portion 74B extends from the main body portion 74A toward the outer periphery, and the extension portion 74B is fixed to a protection member 76 serving as a frame to which the roof glass 72 is fixed.
[0081] The thickness of the extension portion 74B is preferably thin from the viewpoint of ensuring a large space in the vehicle interior, and is preferably 10 mm or less, more preferably 8 mm or less, and even more preferably 6 mm or less. Furthermore, the thickness of the extension portion 74B is preferably 0.1 mm or more, more preferably 0.5 mm or more, and even more preferably 1.0 mm or more from the viewpoint of firmly fastening the extension portion 74B to the protective member 76.
[0082] The extension 74B extends outward beyond the outer peripheral edge of the roof glass 72 and is fastened to the protective member 76 with a bolt 82 at a position where it does not overlap with the roof glass 72 in a plan view. Note that the extension 74B may also be fastened to the protective member 76 by a method other than the bolt 82. For example, a mechanical fastening structure such as a claw, clip, rivet, or slide mechanism may be used.
[0083] In addition, a structure in which the bolt 82 is fastened outside the roof glass 72 is preferable from the viewpoint of being able to screw the bolt 82 deeply, but this is not limited to this, and the bolt 82 may be fastened to the protective member 76 at a position that overlaps with the roof glass 72 in a planar view.
[0084] In this embodiment, since the mounting member 74 is mechanically fastened to the protective member 76 by the bolts 82 in addition to the adhesive layer 78 , it is possible to prevent the vibrator 26 from falling off the roof glass 72 .
