Abstract
Description
Absorbent article container
[0001] The present invention relates to a container for an absorbent article.
[0002]
[0003] Absorbent articles such as disposable diapers for absorbing body waste are known. It is desirable for absorbent articles to reduce unpleasant odors caused by body waste. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a disposable diaper that reduces unpleasant odors during changing by providing a fragrance in the waist region corresponding to the waist of the wearer.
[0003] JP 2018-102612 A
[0004] However, as in the disposable diaper of Patent Document 1, the fragrance used in absorbent articles is generally a volatile substance, which means that the fragrance evaporates before the diaper is worn, making it difficult for the wearer or caregiver to feel the effects of the fragrance.
[0005] The present invention has been made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide a container for absorbent articles that can reduce the evaporation of fragrance from absorbent articles in a contained state.
[0006] The primary invention for achieving the above object is an absorbent article container having a plurality of absorbent articles each having a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction that are orthogonal to one another, and a container member for containing the plurality of absorbent articles, wherein the container member has at least a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, the absorbent articles each including an absorbent core and a fragrance, and when unfolded in the longitudinal direction, the absorbent core has a pair of folded sections in which both end portions in the lateral direction of the absorbent core are folded toward the skin, and a non-folded section in which the absorbent core is not folded, and when the absorbent articles are unfolded in the longitudinal direction and viewed in the thickness direction, the non-folded sections have overlapping sections that overlap with the folded sections and non-overlapping sections that do not overlap with the folded sections, the non-overlapping sections are aligned along the longitudinal direction, and the overlapping sections have a portion that overlaps with the fragrance. Other features of the present invention will become apparent from the description of this specification and the accompanying drawings.
[0007] According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce the evaporation of fragrance from an absorbent article in a contained state.

[0027] (Aspect 10) An absorbent article container having a plurality of absorbent articles having a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction that are orthogonal to one another, and a container member that contains a plurality of the absorbent articles, wherein the absorbent articles each include an absorbent core and a fragrance, and the container member has an oxygen permeability of 100 cm 3 / m 2 - An absorbent article container characterized in that the pressure is 24h·atm or less, the storage member has an opening guide portion for guiding the opening of the storage member, and the opening guide portion is a notch that does not penetrate the storage member.
[0028] According to the absorbent article container of aspect 10, the oxygen permeability is 100 cm 3 / m 2 - In the case of a storage member with a resistance greater than 24h·atm, the evaporation of fragrance from the stored absorbent article is reduced compared to when the unsealing guide section has a through hole, while the thinner part of the storage member in the unsealing guide section makes it easier to open the storage member and remove the absorbent article from the absorbent article storage body.
[0029] First Embodiment
[0030] <<Container 100>> Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a container 100. As an example of an absorbent article container according to this embodiment, the container 100 shown in Fig. 1 will be described. The container (absorbent article container) 100 has a plurality of absorbent articles 1 and a container member 120 that stores the plurality of absorbent articles 1.
[0031] The absorbent articles 1 are distributed and sold while being housed in a housing member 120. The housing 100 houses a plurality of absorbent articles 1 inside the housing member 120, and the absorbent articles 1 are not individually packaged. After a wearer or the like purchases an absorbent article 1, the wearer or the like typically takes out the absorbent articles 1 one by one from the housing 100 when using the absorbent article 1, and the unused absorbent articles 1 are generally stored while being housed in the housing member 120.
[0032] As shown in Figure 1, in this embodiment, the container 100 in a state in which the absorbent article 1 is contained in the container member 120 (hereinafter also referred to as the "contained state") is a substantially hexahedron having multiple surfaces (a front surface 100A, a side surface 100B, a rear surface (not shown), a top surface 100C, and a bottom surface (not shown)), but is not limited to this and may have other shapes such as a polyhedron. In addition, hereinafter, a wearer of the absorbent article 1 or a person who has the wearer wear the absorbent article 1 will be referred to as a "wearer, etc."
[0033] <<Storage Member 120>> The storage member 120 is formed of a resin (plastic) film, and is formed of a resin film having a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH). The storage member 120 preferably has low oxygen permeability. The lower the oxygen permeability, the more the permeation of the fragrance can be reduced. Therefore, by using a storage member 120 with low oxygen permeability, it is possible to reduce the volatilization of the fragrance P (described below) contained in the absorbent article 1 stored in the storage member 120. Details of the storage member 120 will be described later.
[0034] The housing members 120 are joined together at the joints 121, thereby forming a closed space inside the housing members 120. The joints 121 in this embodiment are formed by welding the housing members 120 together.
[0035] <<Absorbent article 1>> Fig. 2 is a plan view of the absorbent article 1 in an unfolded state, as seen from the skin side. Fig. 2 shows a state in which all fold lines (folded portions) of the absorbent article 1 are unfolded. Fig. 3A is an exploded schematic view of the A-A cross section of Fig. 2. Fig. 3B is an enlarged schematic view of the B-B cross section of Fig. 2. Fig. 4 is an explanatory diagram of the absorbent article 1 in a worn state. The "state in which all fold lines are unfolded" in Fig. 2 refers to a state in which all folds (folds) in the main body portion 10, side flaps 20, and fastening tape 30 are unfolded.
[0036] The absorbent article 1 has a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction, which are perpendicular to one another. In the following description, the side that should be positioned closest to the wearer's skin is referred to as the "skin side," and the side that should be positioned away from the wearer's skin is referred to as the "non-skin side." As shown in FIG. 2 , the longitudinal direction of the main body portion 10 of the long absorbent article 1 is referred to as the "longitudinal direction" of the absorbent article 1, and the lateral direction of the main body portion 10 is referred to as the "lateral direction" of the absorbent article 1. In the lateral direction, the center side of the absorbent article 1 is sometimes referred to as the "inner side," and the opposite side is sometimes referred to as the "outer side." The inner end of each sheet is sometimes referred to as the "base end," and the outer end of each sheet is sometimes referred to as the "distal end." The direction perpendicular to the longitudinal and lateral directions is sometimes referred to as the "thickness direction." The center line C-C shown in FIG. 2 indicates the center of the main body portion 10 in the lateral direction, and the center line CL indicates the center of the absorbent article 1 (main body portion 10) in the longitudinal direction in the unfolded state.
[0037] The absorbent article 1 is an article that absorbs and retains excrement (e.g., urine) from a wearer. The absorbent article 1 of this embodiment is a tape-type disposable diaper for adults. However, the absorbent article 1 may also be a diaper for infants or an absorbent pad for adults, a sanitary napkin, or the like.
[0038] As shown in Figure 2, the absorbent article 1 has a front region 3, a crotch region 5, and a rear region 7. The front region 3 is a region that will be located on the front side (belly side) of the wearer. The rear region 7 is a region that will be located on the rear side (buttocks side, back side) of the wearer. The crotch region 5 is a region that will be located between the front region 3 and the rear region 7.
[0039] The absorbent article 1 has a main body portion 10, side flaps 20, and fastening tapes 30. As will be described below, in the absorbent article 1 of this embodiment, the side gathered sheet 14 located on the skin side of the main body portion 10 and the side flap sheet 21 are joined at a base end region 21A, and the region outside the base end region 21A constitutes the side flap 20.
[0040] The main body portion 10 is a band-shaped region located in the horizontal center of the absorbent article 1, and is configured along the longitudinal direction across the front region 3, crotch region 5, and rear region 7. The main body portion 10 has an absorbent region 10A and wing regions 10B. The absorbent region 10A is an area that absorbs and retains liquid, and is formed in the central portion of the main body portion 10. The wing regions 10B are regions outside the absorbent region 10A. Side flaps 20 are formed on the outside of the rear region 7 of the wing regions 10B. The crotch region 5 of the wing regions 10B is provided with elasticized portions 15 that form leg gathers that prevent leakage of urine and feces from around the wearer's legs (see Figure 2).
[0041] The main body portion 10 includes an absorbent core 11, a top sheet 12, and a back sheet 13. The absorbent core 11 is a component that absorbs and retains liquid (excreted liquid) and is formed into a generally hourglass shape as shown in FIG. 2 from liquid-absorbent fibers such as pulp fibers mixed with superabsorbent polymer (SAP). Specifically, the absorbent core 11 of this embodiment has a width W11a that is narrowest in the longitudinal center region (crotch portion 5) and a width W11b that is widest in the longitudinal end regions (W11a<W11b). The region of the absorbent core 11 with width W11a in the lateral center is the absorbent core central region 11c, and the regions that protrude laterally outward from the absorbent core central region 11c are the absorbent core wing regions 11w. At least a portion of the absorbent core 11 may be covered with a liquid-permeable sheet member such as tissue paper or nonwoven fabric.
[0042] The absorbent core 11 has slits 16 penetrating through it in the thickness direction. The slits 16 of the absorbent article 1 in the unfolded state are linear slits along the longitudinal direction. The slits 16 are provided in the central portion and on both sides thereof in the horizontal direction, and in the front, crotch, and rear sides in the longitudinal direction, for a total of nine slits. In other words, the absorbent core 11 of this embodiment has a plurality of slits 16 intermittently provided in the horizontal direction, and a plurality of slits 16 intermittently provided in the longitudinal direction. Note that the absorbent core 11 does not necessarily have to have slits 16, and may have, instead of slits 16, low basis weight portions in which the basis weight of the liquid-absorbent fibers is low, or compressed portions compressed in the thickness direction.
[0043] The top sheet 12 is a liquid-permeable sheet member (nonwoven fabric) located on the skin side of the absorbent core 11. The back sheet 13 is a sheet member located on the non-skin side of the absorbent core 11, and is a sheet member with a laminated structure (not shown) in which a liquid-impermeable film and a nonwoven fabric provided on the non-skin side of the liquid-impermeable film are laminated.
[0044] The main body portion 10 also has a pair of side gather sheets 14. The pair of side gather sheets 14 are sheets that constitute three-dimensional gathers that stand on the skin side of the top sheet 12. The outer ends of the side gather sheets 14 are joined at joints along the longitudinal direction so that they cannot stand up. A contraction force is applied to the inner ends of the side gather sheets 14 in the longitudinal direction by elastic thread (not shown) or the like, and this contraction force causes them to stand on the skin side in the thickness direction and function as three-dimensional gathers.
[0045] The absorbent article 1 (main body 10) is provided with a fragrance P. Either a natural fragrance or a synthetic fragrance may be used as the fragrance P, or two or more fragrances may be used in combination. Examples of natural fragrances include daun siri (betel nut), anise, basil, bergamot, camphor, chamomile, citronella, clove, eucalyptus, grapefruit, rose, jasmine, lavender, ylang-ylang, mint, orange, sage, and rosemary. Examples of synthetic fragrances include terpene hydrocarbons such as limonene; terpene alcohols such as linalool, geraniol, nerol, citronellol, dihydromyrcenol, terpineol, menthol, borneol, and cedrol; alicyclic alcohols such as amber core; aromatic alcohols such as phenylethyl alcohol and eugenol; synthetic sandal such as sandal mysore core; ethers such as rose oxide and anethole; terpene aldehydes such as citral and citronellal; aromatic aldehydes such as cinnamic aldehyde, helional, vanillin, and ethyl vanillin; terpene ketones such as camphor, carvone, ionones, damascone, and damascenone; aromatic ketones such as raspberry ketone; acetate esters such as linalyl acetate and benzyl acetate; propionate esters such as methyl propionate; salicylate esters such as methyl salicylate; and anthranilate esters such as methyl anthranilate. The fragrance may also be an insect repellent fragrance that has the function of repelling insects. Insect repellent fragrances are repellents (insect repellents) for pests such as mosquitoes, gnats, midges, and flies, and are fragrances made from synthetic compounds or natural plant extracts. Examples of insect repellent fragrances that can be used include citronellal, DEET (N,N-diethyl-3-methylbenzamide), sesquiterpenes, ethyl butylacetylaminopropionate, picaridin, pyrethroids, cinnamon, rosemary, lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus. The insect repellent fragrance can be appropriately selected depending on the target pests, the desired fragrance, and other factors. The absorbent article 1 of this embodiment is coated with a daun siri (betel nut) fragrance. The placement of the fragrance will be described later.
[0046] The side flaps 20 are portions joined to the main body portion 10 and formed to protrude outward in the lateral direction. The side flaps 20 are composed of nonwoven side flap sheets 21. An inner base end region 21A of the side flap sheet 21 is joined between the back sheet 13 and the side gather sheet 14, and the region of the side flap sheet 21 outside the base end region 21A constitutes the side flap 20.
[0047] The fastening tape 30 is a tape-like portion joined to the flap tip portions 23 of the side flaps 20. As shown in Fig. 2, the fastening tape 30 is deployed so that it protrudes outward from the flap tip portions 23 when in use. As shown in Fig. 4, the fastening tape 30 is used by engaging with the target region 3A (the engagement region on the non-skin side of the backsheet 13) of the front portion 3 when the absorbent article 1 is worn. An engagement portion 34 is formed on the skin side of the fastening tape 30.
[0048] The fastening tape 30 is composed of two base sheets (a first base sheet 31 and a second base sheet 32) that are bonded together. An engagement portion 34 is formed on the skin-facing surface of the first base sheet 31 that is placed on the skin-facing side. As shown in Fig. 3B, the two base sheets that make up the fastening tape 30 can be divided into a base end region 33X, an intermediate region 33A, an engagement region 33B, and a tip region 33C.
[0049] In the base end region 33X, the tip end of the side flap sheet 21 is sandwiched and joined between the first base sheet 31 and the second base sheet 32. The intermediate region 33A, the engagement region 33B, and the tip end region 33C other than the base end region 33X are regions that protrude outward from the flap tip end 23 of the side flap 20 during use. The intermediate region 33A is the region between the base end region 33X and the engagement region 33B. The engagement region 33B is a region where the engagement portion 34 is provided. The tip end region 33C is a region closer to the tape tip end 35 than the engagement region 33B. The tip end region 33C is a non-engagement surface where the engagement portion 34 is not provided, and functions as a "knob" to be held with the fingers during use (when unfolding or wearing) of the fastening tape 30.
[0050] Fig. 5 is a diagram illustrating the fastening tape 30 before being unfolded. Fig. 5A is an explanatory diagram of the side flap 20. Fig. 5B is a cross-sectional view of the fastening tape 30 before being unfolded. Fig. 5C is an explanatory diagram of the absorbent article 1 in a state in which the side flap 20 is folded and temporarily fastened. Fig. 5D is an enlarged explanatory diagram of the D-D cross section of Fig. 5C.
[0051] Before unfolding, the fastening tape 30 has a tape tip 35, which is the end of the fastening tape 30 closest to the tip, folded back laterally from the outside to the inside by a tape fold line 36 along the longitudinal direction. The tape fold line 36 is formed in the intermediate region 33A (or the boundary between the base region 33X and the intermediate region 33A). The skin-side surface of the fastening tape 30 folded back by the tape fold line 36 and the surface facing the skin-side surface (the skin-side surface of the side flap 20 in FIG. 5B ) are temporarily fastened together by an engaging portion 34, thereby maintaining the fastening tape 30 in a folded state. Note that "temporarily fastened" means that the fastening tape 30 is not separated during manufacturing and transportation, when stored, etc., but is joined to such an extent that it can be separated by hand when in use.
[0052] 5C and 5D, the side flaps 20 of the absorbent article 1 are temporarily fastened in a folded state, which makes it easier to tuck the rear portion 7 of the absorbent article 1 under the wearer when putting the absorbent article 1 on the wearer.
[0053] The side flaps 20 are folded from a state in which they protrude laterally outward from the main body 10 ( FIG. 5A ) along first and second fold lines 41 and 42 ( FIG. 5C and FIG. 5D ). The first fold line 41 is located closer to the flap tip 23 of the side flap 20 and is a fold line along the longitudinal direction. The second fold line 42 is located closer to the base end in the lateral direction than the first fold line 41 and is a fold line along the longitudinal direction. When the unfolded side flaps 20 are viewed from the skin side, the first fold line 41 forms a mountain fold and the second fold line 42 forms a valley fold. In other words, the side flaps 20 are folded in an accordion-like manner by being alternately folded.
[0054] The side flaps 20 are temporarily fastened in a folded state. Specifically, the side flaps 20 are temporarily fastened by a first temporary fastening portion 51 and a second temporary fastening portion 52. In this embodiment, as shown in Fig. 5D , the first temporary fastening portion 51 temporarily fastens the non-skin-facing sides of the side flaps 20 folded back along the first fold line 41, and the second temporary fastening portion 52 temporarily fastens the skin-facing sides of the side flaps 20 folded back along the second fold line 42 to the skin-facing side of the main body portion 10. This fixes the shape of the side flaps 20 in a bellows-like folded state by the first fold line 41 and the second fold line 42, making it easier to lay the rear portion 7 of the absorbent article 1 under the wearer. The first temporary fastening portion 51 and the second temporary fastening portion 52 are each formed by linearly applying an adhesive such as a hot melt adhesive.
[0055] Fig. 6A is an explanatory diagram of a main body fold line 43 of the absorbent article 1. Fig. 6B is an explanatory diagram of the absorbent article 1 in a state in which both lateral side portions are folded at the main body fold line 43. Note that the absorbent article 1 in Fig. 6A is in a state in which the side flaps 20 and fastening tape 30 are folded and temporarily fastened while the main body fold line 43 is unfolded (see Figs. 5C and 5D). Also, the absorbent article 1 shown in Fig. 6B is in a state in which it is unfolded in the longitudinal direction. In other words, the "longitudinal unfolded state" of the absorbent article 1 refers to a state in which all folds of the lateral fold lines (main body fold lines 45, 46 (described later)) of the absorbent article 1 in a stored state are unfolded.
[0056] The absorbent article 1 in the packaged state has the side flaps 20 folded and temporarily fastened (Figure 6A), and then both horizontal ends of the main body portion 10 are folded from the outside to the inside by a pair of main body fold lines 43 along the longitudinal direction (Figure 6B), and are further folded into four by main body fold lines 45 and 46 along the horizontal direction.
[0057] When the absorbent article 1 is viewed from the skin side (thickness direction) with the main body fold lines 43 unfolded, the two main body fold lines 43 form valley-folded fold lines. That is, when the absorbent article 1 is packaged with the side flaps 20 folded and temporarily fastened, the two main body fold lines 43 form a pair of main body foldable sections (main body side sections 10F) along the longitudinal direction and a main body non-foldable section 10N along the longitudinal direction, as shown in FIG. 6B . The main body side sections 10F are sections of the main body section 10 that are laterally outward of the main body fold lines 43, i.e., the main body side sections 10F are sections that are folded along the main body fold lines 43. The main body non-foldable sections 10N are sections of the main body section 10 that are not folded, and when folded along the main body fold lines 43, they overlap with the folded main body side sections 10F in the thickness direction.
[0058] When the absorbent article 1 is folded at these pair of main body fold lines 43, the absorbent core 11 is also folded, and therefore, as shown in Figures 7A and 7B, the absorbent core 11 has a folded portion 11F and a non-folded portion 11N. Figure 7A is a diagram illustrating the absorbent core 11 in Figure 6A. Figure 7B is a diagram illustrating the absorbent core 11 in Figure 6B. The absorbent core 11 in an expanded state expanded in the transverse and longitudinal directions, as shown in Figure 7A, has non-folded portions 11N, 11N on both sides in the transverse direction, and has another non-folded portion 11N between the two 11N, 11N on both sides in the transverse direction (Figure 7A). When the absorbent article 1 is folded at the main body fold line portion 43 and unfolded only in the longitudinal direction (Figure 6B), when the absorbent article 1 is viewed in the thickness direction, the absorbent core 11 has a pair of folded portions 11F in which both ends of the absorbent core 11 in the lateral direction are folded toward the skin, and a non-folded portion 11N in which the absorbent core 11 is not folded, as shown in Figure 7B.
[0059] Fig. 8A is an explanatory diagram of the absorbent article 1 in a state in which the main body portion 10 is folded at the first main body fold line 45. Fig. 8B is an explanatory diagram of the absorbent article 1 in a stored state. From the state shown in Fig. 6B , the main body portion 10 is folded at the first main body fold line 45 along the horizontal direction so that one longitudinal end approaches the other longitudinal end, thereby resulting in the absorbent article 1 in the state shown in Fig. 8A . Then, from the state shown in Fig. 8A , the main body portion 10 is folded at the second main body fold line 46 along the horizontal direction, thereby resulting in the absorbent article 1 in the state shown in Fig. 8B . The state shown in Fig. 8B is a stored state in which the absorbent article 1 is stored in a storage body 100.
[0060] <<Regarding Fragrances in the Absorbent Article 1>> Absorbent articles such as disposable diapers are worn to absorb excrement such as urine and feces. Because they absorb excrement, there is a problem in that the odor of the absorbed excrement leaks from the absorbent article while the absorbent article is being worn. For example, elderly or sick people who wear absorbent articles such as disposable diapers are often bedridden in private rooms. As a result, the foul odor of excrement leaking from the absorbent article 1 tends to linger in the private room. To avoid the foul odor, caregivers and family members tend to reduce contact with the wearer of the absorbent article, which can make the wearer feel lonely. To address this problem, it is known to add a fragrance to the absorbent article. However, because fragrances are volatile, they volatilize during distribution, sale, and storage of the absorbent article container before the wearer wears the absorbent article, making it difficult to achieve the effect of reducing the foul odor of excrement while the absorbent article is being worn.
[0061] The absorbent article 1 of the container 100 of this embodiment includes a fragrance P. By including the fragrance P, it becomes easier to mask the smell of excrement when the absorbent article 1 is worn, and to alleviate any feelings of depression or discomfort that the wearer may have when using the absorbent article 1.
[0062] In this embodiment, the fragrance P is provided in the unfolded state (see FIG. 2 ) at a position overlapping with the lateral center C-C of the main body 10 and on both sides of the center C-C, as viewed in the thickness direction. The fragrance P is provided in a linear region of a predetermined width along the longitudinal direction. During the manufacturing process of the absorbent article 1, the fragrance P is applied to the non-skin side of the top sheet 12, and the top sheet 12 with the fragrance P applied thereto is overlapped with the absorbent core 11, thereby providing the fragrance P between the absorbent core 11 and the top sheet 12. Thereafter, the fragrance P volatilizes on the skin side of the absorbent article 1, allowing the wearer or the like to smell the fragrance P.
[0063] When the absorbent article 1 is expanded longitudinally from the stored state (Figure 6B), the absorbent core 11 has a pair of folded portions 11F in which both ends in the horizontal direction are folded toward the skin, and a non-folded portion 11N in which the absorbent core 11 is not folded (Figure 7B).
[0064] When the absorbent article 1 is unfolded in the longitudinal direction and viewed in the thickness direction (FIGS. 6B and 7B), the non-folded portion 11N has an overlapping portion 11Na that overlaps with the folded portion 11F and a non-overlapping portion 11Nb that does not overlap with the folded portion 11F. For convenience, in FIG. 7B, the overlapping portion 11Na of the non-folded portion 11N that overlaps with the folded portion 11F when viewed in the thickness direction is indicated by diagonal lines slanting downward to the right. That is, in FIG. 7B, the shaded area is the overlapping portion 11Na, and the non-shaded area is the non-overlapping portion 11Nb. The non-overlapping portion 11Nb is aligned along the longitudinal direction. The overlapping portion 11Na has a portion Pa that overlaps with the fragrance P. In the overlapping portion Pa of the overlapping portion 11Na with the aromatic P, the aromatic P is sandwiched between the folded portion 11F and the non-folded portion 11N in the thickness direction, which makes it easier to reduce the evaporation of the aromatic P in the stored state.
[0065] Furthermore, the storage member 120 for storing the absorbent article 1 containing the fragrance P has at least a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH). Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) has low oxygen permeability, so by providing the storage member 120 with at least a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), even if the fragrance P leaks from the absorbent article 1 in a stored state, the airtightness of the storage member 120 (storage body 100) is increased, making it difficult for the fragrance P to permeate from the storage body 100 (storage member 120). Even if the fragrance P provided in the absorbent article 1 leaks to the outside of the absorbent article 1, the risk of the fragrance P leaking to the outside of the storage member 120 can be reduced. As a result, the fragrance P can more easily mask the unpleasant odor of excrement for the wearer, etc., reducing the odor of excrement and reducing the pain and stress caused to the wearer, etc. and those around the wearer by the odor of excrement.
[0066] 9 is a diagram illustrating the configuration of the storage member 120 of this embodiment. As shown in FIG. 9 , the storage member 120 of the storage body 100 of this embodiment is a sheet-like member formed by stacking, in the thickness direction, a PE layer 120p, which is a layer of polyethylene, an EVOH layer 120e, which is a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and another PE layer 120p, in that order, with the layers bonded together with a hot melt adhesive. The storage member 120 of this embodiment includes the EVOH layer 120e, which is a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with low oxygen permeability, which makes it difficult for the fragrance P to permeate through the storage member 120, thereby reducing the evaporation of the fragrance P provided in the absorbent article 1. Furthermore, by providing PE layers 120p on both sides of the EVOH layer 120e in the thickness direction, it is possible to form a joint 121 by stacking and welding the storage members 120 together, so that the inside of the storage member 120 for the absorbent article 1 can be sealed inside the storage member 120 while maintaining the state in which the absorbent article 1 is stored inside the storage member 120, thereby reducing the evaporation of the fragrance P.
[0067] The storage member 120 may be formed only from a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), or may be formed by combining a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) with any layer such as a layer of polypropylene (PP) or a layer of polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
[0068] Although ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) has low oxygen permeability and is effective in reducing the evaporation of fragrance P, using ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) as the material for the storage member 120 increases the rigidity of the storage member 120, resulting in the storage member 120 having a characteristic of being difficult to deform. As a result, when removing the absorbent article 1 from the storage body 100, it becomes necessary to provide a large opening for the storage member 120, but the larger the opening for the storage member 120, the more the fragrance P in the absorbent article 1 evaporates. On the other hand, if the opening for the storage member 120 is made small, the storage member 120 is difficult to deform, and therefore the shape of the opening is difficult to change, resulting in the problem of making it difficult to remove the absorbent article 1 from the storage body 100.
[0069] In contrast, as shown in Fig. 7B , the absorbent core 11 of the absorbent article 1 has overlapping portions 11Na where the absorbent cores 11 overlap each other in the thickness direction, resulting in a difference in rigidity between the overlapping portions 11Na and the non-overlapping portions 11Nb. By providing the overlapping portions 11Na and the non-overlapping portions 11Nb with different rigidities, the absorbent article 1 can be easily deformed at the portions with different rigidities. This makes it easier to fold the absorbent article 1 even in a storage member 120 that uses ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) to reduce volatilization of the fragrance P, and therefore the stored absorbent article 1 can be removed from the storage member 120 (storage body 100) in a folded state, making it easier to remove the absorbent article 1.
[0070] In this way, the container 100 reduces the volatilization of the fragrance P contained in the absorbent article 1, while making it easier to remove the absorbent article 1 from the container member 120, which has a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) that is difficult to deform and is used to reduce the volatilization of the fragrance P. Also, typically, when a container 100 containing multiple absorbent articles 1 is opened and one absorbent article 1 is removed, the remaining unused absorbent articles 1 remain contained in the container member 120. Even in such cases, an absorbent article 1 having a portion where the overlapping portion 11Na overlaps with the fragrance P when deployed in the longitudinal direction reduces the risk of the fragrance P volatilizing from the absorbent article 1 in the contained state, and also reduces the risk of the fragrance P leaking out of the container member 120 even if the fragrance P leaks from the absorbent article 1.
[0071] The oxygen permeability of this housing member 120 is 100 cm at 23°C. 3 / m 2 Since the fragrance P of the absorbent article 1 is volatile, the oxygen permeability of the storage member 120 is preferably 100 cm 3 / m 2 By setting the pressure to 24h·atm or less, the airtightness of the housing 100 is increased, and the oxygen permeability of the housing member 120 is 100 cm 3 / m 2 Compared to a pressure higher than 24 h·atm, the risk of the fragrance provided in the absorbent article 1 leaking out of the storage member 120 can be reduced. The oxygen permeability is measured, for example, according to the coulometric method under conditions of 23°C and 0% RH.
[0072] Furthermore, the inner surface of the storage member 120 preferably contains an additive sb for enhancing slipperiness. The storage member 120 has an EVOH layer (a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer), which increases rigidity and tends to reduce the slipperiness of the surface of the storage member 120. Therefore, by providing the additive sb for enhancing slipperiness on the inner surface of the storage member 120, the slipperiness between the absorbent article 1 contained in the storage body 100 and the storage member 120 can be improved, making it easier to remove the absorbent article 1 from the storage member 120. Examples of the additive sb for enhancing slipperiness include fluorine-based compounds and silicon-based compounds. In this embodiment, the additive sb is provided only on the inner surface of the storage member 120. However, the additive sb may be provided on both the inner surface and the outer surface of the storage member 120 to improve the feel of the outer surface of the storage member 120.
[0073] The storage member 120 preferably has an opening guide portion 150 for guiding the opening of the storage member 120, and the opening guide portion 150 is preferably a cut that does not penetrate the storage member 120. A "cut that does not penetrate the storage member 120" refers to a so-called half-cut portion, a portion cut into the storage member 120 that does not penetrate from one side to the other in the thickness direction. Because the opening guide portion 150 is a portion cut into the storage member 120 in the thickness direction, the opening guide portion 150 is a portion of the storage member 120 where the thickness of the storage member 120 is thinner than a portion where the opening guide portion 150 is not provided, and therefore the storage member 120 can be opened with less force than a portion where the opening guide portion 150 is not provided. On the other hand, because the opening guide portion 150 does not penetrate in the thickness direction, it is easier to seal the inside of the storage body 100, thereby reducing the risk of the fragrance P volatilizing from the storage member 120.
[0074] Furthermore, when the absorbent article 1 is unfolded in the longitudinal and lateral directions, it is preferable that the absorbent core 11 has portions in the lateral direction where the fiber (liquid-absorbent fiber) density is different. The absorbent core 11 of this embodiment has multiple (three) slits 16 intermittently formed in the lateral direction. Therefore, at predetermined positions in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent core 11, the liquid-absorbent fiber density in the portions where the slits 16 are formed is clearly lower than in the portions where the slits 16 are not formed. Therefore, the absorbent core 11 has portions in the lateral direction where the liquid-absorbent fiber density is different. The portions where the liquid-absorbent fiber density is different are portions in the absorbent core 11 where the rigidity is different. Therefore, the portions of the absorbent core 11 where the rigidity is different (rigidity difference) are portions in the absorbent article 1 that are easily bent and deformed, making it easier to remove the absorbent article 1 in a contained state from inside the containing member 120. Note that the portions in the absorbent core 11 where the fiber density is different are not limited to the slits 16, and may be compressed portions, etc.
[0075] Furthermore, it is preferable that the absorbent article 1 has a non-breathable sheet on the non-skin side of the absorbent core 11. The non-breathable sheet provided on the non-skin side of the absorbent core 11 may be the back sheet 13, or a separate sheet different from the back sheet 13 may be provided. The non-breathable sheet may be, for example, a well-known non-breathable sheet such as a non-breathable polyethylene (PE) sheet. The non-breathable sheet has an oxygen permeability of 1500 cm 3 / m 2 The absorbent article 1 has a non-breathable sheet on the non-skin side of the absorbent core 11, and since the absorbent article 1 in the stored state is folded toward the skin side at a predetermined position, the fragrance P is provided inside the non-breathable sheet in the stored state, which reduces the evaporation of the fragrance P from the non-skin side of the absorbent article 1.
[0076] In this embodiment, a liquid fragrance extracted from the plant-derived dawn siri is used as the fragrance P. The storage member 120 of the container 100 is preferably provided with a marking indicating that the absorbent article 1 contains the fragrance P. For example, in this embodiment, it is preferable to display a dawn siri leaf in a diagram or in text on the exterior of the storage member 120 so as to evoke the image of the dawn siri leaf. Furthermore, in order to remind the wearer of the presence of the dawn siri, it is preferable that the member (e.g., the top sheet 12) closer to the skin than the absorbent core 11 is green in color. This makes it easier for the wearer to recognize that the absorbent article 1 contains the fragrance P from the exterior of the container 100 or the absorbent article 1.
[0077] As described above, the absorbent article 1 has a first main body fold line (first folded portion) 45 and a second main body fold line (second folded portion) 46 extending in the horizontal direction. As shown in FIG. 6B , when the absorbent article 1 is unfolded in the longitudinal direction, the first main body fold line 45 and the second main body fold line 46a are adjacent in the longitudinal direction, sandwiching a longitudinal central region 10c therebetween. The central region 10c is a region including a longitudinal center line CL in the main body portion 10. In addition, in the longitudinal direction, the absorbent article 1 has an end 1ea on one side and an end 1eb on the other side. Furthermore, the one side region 10a on one side of the first main body fold line 45 in the longitudinal direction has a portion abutting the central region 10c, and the other side region 10b on the other side of the second main body fold line 46a in the longitudinal direction has an end 1eb on the other side. The total area of the region provided with the fragrance P in the one side region 10a is preferably larger than the total area of the region provided with the fragrance P in the other side region 10b. The area of the region provided with the fragrance P can be obtained by a well-known method. For example, when an oily fragrance P is used, the area can be obtained by sprinkling fine colored particles such as bamboo charcoal or cocoa powder on each region, brushing off the particles, and checking the area of the areas where the particles adhere.
[0078] For convenience, Figure 7B shows the one-side region 10a and the other-side region 10b. In this embodiment, when the absorbent core 11 is viewed in the thickness direction, the central region 10c has an area where the overlapping portion 11Na and the fragrance P do not overlap. In other words, when the absorbent article 1 is deployed in the longitudinal direction, the central region 10c has a portion where the fragrance P is exposed to the skin side and is not covered by the absorbent core 11. Therefore, when the absorbent article 1 is folded at the first main body fold line 45 and the one-side region 10a abuts the skin-side surface of the central region 10c, the fragrance P in the central region 10c also adheres to the one-side region 10a. On the other hand, the other-side region 10b abuts the non-skin-side surface of the one-side region 10a, so the fragrance P in the one-side region 10a does not adhere to it. Therefore, the total area of the area where the fragrance P is provided in the one-side region 10a is greater than the total area of the area where the fragrance P is provided in the other-side region 10b. As in this embodiment, when one side in the longitudinal direction is the ventral side, it becomes easier for the wearer to become aware of the presence (fragrance) of the fragrance P while trying to put on the absorbent article 1.
[0079] In this embodiment, one side in the longitudinal direction is the ventral side and the other side is the dorsal side, but this is not limited to this. If one side in the longitudinal direction is the dorsal side and the other side is the ventral side, if the total area of the area in which the fragrance P is provided in the one-side region 10a is larger than the total area of the area in which the fragrance P is provided in the other-side region 10b, the one-side region 10a will be positioned to absorb excrement (feces). Therefore, in such a case, even if excrement is absorbed while wearing the garment, the odor caused by the excrement can be easily reduced.
[0080] 1, it is preferable that the container 100 has an opening guide portion 150, and in this embodiment, the opening guide portion 150 is provided at an end portion on the upper side (one side) in the up-down direction (predetermined direction) of the container 100. As shown in FIG. 8B, the absorbent article 1 in the contained state is in a state in which the end 1ea on one side is located inside the thickness direction of the folded absorbent article 1 and the end 1eb on the other side is located outside the thickness direction, and the end 1eb on the other side is not covered by the absorbent article 1. When this absorbent article 1 is contained inside the container member 120, it is preferable that the end 1eb on the other side of the absorbent article 1 is located on the upper side (one side) in the up-down direction (predetermined direction) of the container 100. In other words, it is preferable that the absorbent article 1 in the contained state shown in FIG. 8B is contained so that the end 1eb on the other side is on the opening guide portion 150 side (upper side) of the container 100 and the end 1ea on one side is on the lower side of the container 100. As a result, an opening (opening port) is formed by the opening guide section 150 provided on the upper side (one side) of the container 100 in the vertical direction (predetermined direction), and when removing the absorbent article 1 from the opening, the end portion on the other side end 1eb of the folded absorbent article 1 is grasped and pulled, so that the absorbent article 1 can be removed while opening at least a part of the main body fold line section 46 (46a, 46b) along the horizontal direction of the absorbent article 1, which makes it easier to unfold the absorbent article 1 and make it easier to wear.
[0081] In addition, when the container 100 has an opening guide section 150, the opening guide section 150 is provided at the end on the upper side (one side) in the up-down direction (predetermined direction) of the container 100 ( FIG. 1 ), and the absorbent article 1 in the stored state is in a state in which, in the folded absorbent article 1, the end 1ea on one side is located inside in the thickness direction and the end 1eb on the other side is located outside in the thickness direction, and the end 1eb on the other side is not covered by the absorbent article 1 ( FIG. 8 ), it is preferable that, when the absorbent article 1 is stored inside the container member 120, the end 1eb on the other side of the absorbent article 1 is provided on the lower side in the up-down direction. In other words, it is preferable that the absorbent article 1 in the stored state shown in FIG. 8B is stored so that the end 1ea on one side is on the opening guide section 150 side (upper side) of the container 100, and the end 1eb on the other side is on the lower side of the container 100. By doing this, when the storage member 120 is opened using the opening guide section 150 to form an opening and the absorbent article 1 is removed from the opening, the risk of the other end of the absorbent article 1, including the other end 1eb of the absorbent article 1 in the stored state, getting caught on the edge of the opening can be reduced.
[0082] ===Another embodiment=== In the above-described housing body 100, the housing member 120 has at least a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), making it a material with low oxygen permeability, but this is not limited to this.
[0083] The container 100 includes a plurality of absorbent articles 1 having a longitudinal direction, a lateral direction, and a thickness direction that are orthogonal to one another, and a storage member 120 that stores the plurality of absorbent articles 1, wherein the absorbent articles 1 are provided with a fragrance P, and the storage member 120 has an oxygen permeability of 100 cm 3 / m 2 The pressure may be 24h·atm or less, and the storage member 120 may have an opening guide portion 150 for guiding the opening of the storage member. The opening guide portion 150 is a cut that does not penetrate the storage member 120. The "cut that does not penetrate the storage member 120" is a so-called half-cut portion, which is a portion that has been cut into the storage member 120 and does not penetrate from one side to the other in the thickness direction.
[0084] The absorbent article 1 of the container 100 of this other embodiment may be a tape-type disposable diaper for adults, a pants-type disposable diaper, a disposable diaper or absorbent pad for babies, a sanitary napkin, etc. The container member 120 is not limited to a configuration having a layer of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), and may be any other absorbent article having an oxygen permeability of 100 cm 3 / m 2 Any member may be used as long as it is resistant to 24h·atm or less. Furthermore, the opening guide portion 150 can be provided in any position of the housing body 100 (housing member 120) and in any shape.
[0085] Furthermore, while the opening guide portion 150 in the above-described embodiment is a notch without a through-hole, this is not limited thereto. For example, the opening guide portion 150 may be formed by providing a notch or a compressed portion in the containing member 120. When the opening guide portion 150 is a notch or a compressed portion, it is preferable that the containing member 120 does not have a through-hole, and that the opening guide portion 150 is provided at an end of the containing member 120. Furthermore, it is more preferable that the containing body 100 has a joint portion 121 where the containing members 120 are joined together, that the joint portion 121 is provided at one end of the containing body 100 in a predetermined direction, and that the opening guide portion 150 is provided on one side of the other end of the joint portion 121 in the predetermined direction. This makes it easier to open the containing member while reducing the risk of the fragrance volatilizing through the containing member.
[0086] ===Other=== The above embodiments are intended to facilitate understanding of the present invention and are not intended to limit the present invention. The present invention may be modified or improved without departing from the spirit thereof, and it goes without saying that the present invention includes equivalents thereof.
[0087] In the above-described embodiment, two fastening tapes 30 are provided on each of the pair of side flaps 20, 20. However, the number of fastening tapes 30 provided on each side flap 20 is not limited to this, and may be one on each side flap, or two or more on each side flap.
[0088] In the above-described embodiment, the fastening tape 30 is made up of two base sheets (the first base sheet 31 and the second base sheet 32). However, the fastening tape 30 may be made up of one base sheet, or may be made up of two or more base sheets.
[0089] In the above-described embodiment, the skin side sheet joined to the skin side surface of the base end region 21A of the side flap sheet 21 is the side gather sheet 14. However, the skin side sheet joined to the skin side surface of the base end region 21A of the side flap sheet 21 is not limited to the side gather sheet 14, and the skin side sheet joined to the skin side surface of the base end region 21A of the side flap sheet 21 may be the top sheet 12.
