Abstract
Description
Usul liquid manufacturing method and Usul liquid beverage manufactured thereby
[0001] The present invention relates to a method for producing a juice of Usul and a juice drink produced thereby.
[0002] Herein, background information regarding the present disclosure is provided, which does not necessarily imply prior art.
[0003] Usul is the root of the cow's knee, a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Amaranth family. It is also called cow's knee because the shape of the nodes on the plant's stem resembles a cow's knee.
[0004] Meanwhile, ecdysteroids are naturally occurring chemicals found in ferns such as Korean bracken and snake bracken, as well as plants such as yew, Japanese yew, Japanese maple, zelkova, amaranth, Japanese knotweed, Japanese locust, silver pine, and chrysanthemum, and are used to protect against insects. Ecdysteroids are found not only in plants but also in insects, and are naturally occurring hormones that regulate molting and metamorphosis in certain arthropods. However, their concentrations are known to be lower than in plants.
[0005] Although their actions in plants are not fully understood, plant ecdysteroids are known to affect plant defense mechanisms by exhibiting feeding inhibition, repellence, and insecticidal effects on some nonadapted phytophagous insects.
[0006] Previously, pain-relieving compositions utilizing natural ingredients have been proposed, including Korean Patent No. 10-1551375 (Herbal Composition for Pain Relief), Korean Patent No. 10-1961608 (Pain-relieving Composition Containing Malkanni Oil and Cypriol Oil as Active Ingredients), and Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2014-0017038 (Health Supplement Containing Reed Charcoal, Reed Vinegar, and Yellow Clay). Numerous other pain-relieving or anti-inflammatory compositions utilizing various natural ingredients have also been proposed.
[0007] However, most functional natural products, including ecdysteroids, are poorly soluble in water and have very low bioavailability, limiting their effectiveness in relieving pain or inflammation. Furthermore, when applied topically, their characteristic bitterness can lead to unpleasant odors and unpleasant sensations. Therefore, their use in foods, pharmaceuticals, and feeds utilizing their bioactive substances is limited.
[0008] The present invention aims to provide a method for producing Usul Jinyeok, a liquefied health food product that has a taste that is easily accessible to the public and at the same time maintains the medicinal properties without damaging the active ingredients.
[0009] However, the purposes of the present invention are not limited to the purposes mentioned above, and other purposes not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art from the description below.
[0010] The present invention provides a method for producing a juice of Usul, which comprises a raw material processing step of processing raw materials including Usul, safflower seeds, Eucommia ulmoides, and Acanthopanax; a juice extraction step of mixing the processed raw materials and extracting the juice to obtain a juice mixture; and a mixing step of mixing the juice mixture with jujube juice.
[0011] In addition, the above raw material processing steps include the Usul processing process, the Safflower seed processing process, the Duzhong processing process, and the Acanthopanax processing process.
[0012] The above Usul processing process and Ogapi processing process are characterized by the process of washing dried Usul and Ogapi respectively, putting them in water, steaming them in a steamer at 110 to 115℃ for 15 to 25 minutes, opening the lid to cool them, and repeating the process of steaming and cooling them in the same way 9 times, followed by fermentation and drying.
[0013] In addition, the above safflower seed processing process is characterized by being a process of washing safflower seeds, steaming them in a steamer at 110 to 115°C for 25 to 35 minutes, cooling them, and roasting them.
[0014] In addition, the above-mentioned Duzhong processing process is characterized by the process of washing Duzhong, steaming it in a steamer at 110 to 115℃ for 25 to 35 minutes, cooling it, repeating the process of steaming and cooling it in the same steamer again, and then roasting it.
[0015] In addition, the above-mentioned extracting step is characterized by being a step of extracting the extract by mixing the processed Usul, Safflower Seed, Duzhong, and Acanthopanax in a weight ratio of 4.5 to 5.0: 4.5 to 5.0: 1.5 to 2.5: 1.5 to 2.5, and cooling the extracted extract at 110 to 115°C for 9 to 11 hours by releasing the pressure in the extractor.
[0016] In addition, the above mixing step is characterized by being a step of mixing 1 to 4 parts by weight of the juice mixture based on 1 part by weight of the jujube juice.
[0017] In addition, the present invention provides a juice mixture obtained by processing and extracting raw materials including Usul, safflower seeds, Eucommia ulmoides, and Acanthopanax, and a juice drink including jujube juice.
[0018] The present invention provides a manufacturing method that utilizes jujubes to neutralize the strong flavor of a juice containing Usul and various medicinal herbs with the sweetness of jujubes, thereby providing a flavor that is easily accessible to the general public while preserving the medicinal properties of the active ingredients. Thus, the present invention provides Usul juice, a liquefied health food that is effective in alleviating pain through inflammation suppression, particularly in improving joint pain, as well as in reducing high blood pressure and improving blood circulation.
