Abstract
Description
Aerial wind turbines with easy directionality
[0001] The present invention relates to an aerial wind power generator, and more specifically, to an aerial wind power generator that is easy to secure directionality, in which a buoyancy body for levitation is provided on the upper portion, is connected to a rewinder on the ground to maintain a constant altitude, and the buoyancy body is provided on the upper portion of the main body of the generator to stand upright in a backwardly inclined position, thereby levitating the main body of the generator, changing direction in the direction in which the wind blows, and maintaining a horizontal position.
[0002] As interest in eco-friendly industries grows, development of new and renewable energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, and seawater is actively underway, moving away from conventional fossil fuels. Among these, wind turbines that utilize wind energy produce electricity using natural wind as energy. They can be installed in a short period of time and have the advantage of being able to generate power day and night as long as the wind blows.
[0003] The most common type of wind turbine consists of a nacelle with a generator built into the upper part of a tower in the form of a vertical column, and a rotor with a hub and multiple blades is provided at the front of the nacelle. This type of wind turbine has the advantage of being able to increase the output per unit area by increasing the size of the rotor.
[0004] However, since noise increases in proportion to the size of the rotor, it has a negative impact on the surrounding residential environment, and for the wind turbine to operate smoothly, not only is wind of about 5 m / s or more necessary, but this wind must blow continuously. However, except for some mountainous and coastal areas, there are few places in the country where this level of wind speed can be stably obtained, so there are limitations on the installation location.
[0005] Meanwhile, aerial wind power generation technology, which places wind turbines at high altitudes, is emerging as a new concept of renewable energy technology, noting that high-altitude winds can be obtained more stably than on land for the smooth operation of wind turbines.
[0006] As a prior art document related to such an aerial wind turbine, Korean Patent Publication No. 10-2010-0033086 (published on March 29, 2010, hereinafter referred to as “prior art document 1”) has been proposed. The aerial wind turbine according to prior art document 1, as illustrated in FIG. 1a, comprises a tunnel member (1) having a wind tunnel (1a) through which wind passes in a horizontal direction, a wind turbine rotor (2) installed in the wind tunnel (1a), a generator that operates by receiving rotational force output from the wind turbine rotor (2), and levitation tubes (3) installed on both sides of the tunnel member (1) to levitate the tunnel member (1).
[0007] The aerial wind turbine of the prior art document 1 as described above can be easily installed and removed, and by increasing the rotational efficiency of the wind turbine rotor (2) through the straightness and acceleration of the wind flowing into the wind tunnel (1a), it is intended to achieve smooth power generation not only in strong wind but also in weak wind.
[0008] Meanwhile, the aerial wind turbine of prior art document 1 can generate power effectively only when the wind tunnel (1a) is maintained in a state parallel to the wind direction, and although the directional blade (4) and the wire rotation means are included to enable the directional change of the aerial wind turbine in response to the change in the wind direction, there is a problem in that it is difficult to stabilize the attitude of the aerial wind turbine that shakes back and forth due to the change in the wind with only the directional blade (4) provided in a vertical position at the upper rear end of the aerial levitation tube (3).
[0009] Another prior art document is Republic of Korea Patent No. 10-0933514 (registered on December 15, 2009, hereinafter referred to as “prior art document 2”). The wind power generation system of prior art document 2 is a system in which a wind power generation device (6) is installed at the bottom of an airship (5) as illustrated in Fig. 1b, and the airship (5) is equipped with an attitude control means to maintain a horizontal attitude toward the direction from which the wind blows, thereby attempting to improve the efficiency of power generation by wind power.
[0010] However, in the prior art document 2, the direction and attitude of the airship (5) are controlled by a wind direction and anemometer (7) and an automatic navigation device, and the structure and control for controlling the direction and attitude, such as the horizontal control fan device (8a) and horizontal control vanes (8b) and the vertical control fan device (9a) and vertical control vanes (9b), are very complex, and there is a problem that energy is consumed to maintain the correct attitude of the airship in response to changes in the wind direction.
[0011] The present invention has been devised to solve the above problems, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide an aerial wind power generator that can easily secure directionality for smooth power generation by naturally changing direction in the direction of the wind blowing by a buoyancy body that floats the aerial wind power generator into the air and simultaneously maintaining a horizontal posture to face the wind head-on.
[0012] Another object of the present invention is to provide an aerial wind power generator comprising a pair of rotors that convert wind energy into mechanical energy, wherein the pair of rotors are provided with a plurality of blades around a vertical central axis and are configured to rotate in different directions, so that the rotational inertia of one rotor is offset by the rotational inertia of the other rotor, thereby preventing a yawing phenomenon at high altitudes and easily securing directionality to maintain a stable posture.
[0013] Another object of the present invention is to provide an aerial wind power generation device that can easily secure directionality and prevent power generation efficiency from being reduced due to the drag of a rotating body.
[0014] The present invention, which achieves the above-described purpose and performs the task of eliminating the conventional problems, is characterized in that it includes a power generation device main body (100) having one or more rotating bodies (110) that rotate by the wind, and a generator (120) that operates by receiving the rotational force of the rotating bodies (110) and produces electricity; and a buoyancy body (200) that is provided on the upper portion of the power generation device main body (100) to provide buoyancy for levitation in the air, and is erected at an angle toward the upper rear of the power generation device main body (100) so that the front of the power generation device main body (100) faces the direction in which the wind blows, and moves integrally with the power generation device main body (100).
[0015] Additionally, the buoyancy body (200) may be formed of a balloon (202) having a streamlined cross-section.
[0016] In addition, the buoyancy body (200) may include a support shaft (201) that is arranged to stand in an upwardly inclined posture from the upper surface of the power generation device body (100); and a plurality of balloons (202) that are installed on the support shaft (201) and form buoyancy.
[0017] In addition, three balloons (202) form a triangular structure centered on the support axis (201), and a plurality of balloons (202) can be installed around the support axis (201) so that the triangular structure of the three balloons (202) is repeated in the longitudinal direction of the support axis (201).
[0018] In addition, the support shaft (201) may be formed of a hollow pipe and connected to the balloon (202) through a branch pipe (203) so that helium gas supplied to the support shaft (201) is injected into the balloon (202) through the branch pipe (203).
[0019] In addition, the support shaft (201) is hinge-coupled to the power generation device body (100) by a hinge unit (210) having a horizontal hinge shaft (211) and can rotate in the forward and backward directions, and a locking means (212) that restricts the rotation of the support shaft (201) at a specific position can be optionally assembled to the hinge unit (210).
[0020] And, the power generation device body (100) may include a pair of rotors (110) that are horizontally adjacent and rotate in different directions while being provided with a plurality of blades (112) around a vertical central axis (111) and rotate by wind power to convert wind energy into mechanical energy; a generator (120) that is connected to the central axes (111) and bevel gear portions (140) of the pair of rotors (110) by means of a rotor (121) that rotates by the rotational force transmitted from the pair of rotors (110), and a stator (122) that produces electricity in response to the rotating rotor (121); and a frame (130) that supports the rotors (110) and the generator (120) and has a pair of drag resistance portions (133) that surround at least a front half portion where drag is generated by the wind when each rotor (110) rotates.
[0021] In addition, the drag resistance section (133) may be provided with a plurality of guideways (135) that change the direction of the wind into the rotational direction of the blades (112) of the rotor (110) to improve the thrust of the blades (112) located in the drag area.
[0022] According to the aerial wind power generation device of the present invention, which is easy to secure direction, the main body of the power generation device is floated in the air by a buoyancy body, and the direction is naturally changed in the direction the wind blows while maintaining a horizontal posture, so that a separate structure and control device for changing direction or maintaining posture is not required, and thus an aerial wind power generation device having a simple structure and being able to stably secure a posture for power generation at high altitudes can be provided.
[0023] In particular, the safety of the buoyancy body can be improved by forming a buoyancy body with a plurality of balloons, and the structural stability of the buoyancy body can be improved by including a support shaft for supporting a plurality of balloons, and by forming the support shaft with a hollow pipe and connecting the support shaft and each balloon through a branch pipe, helium gas can be easily injected and replenished into a plurality of balloons.
[0024] Furthermore, since the support shaft is hingedly connected to the main body of the power generator, work can be performed with the buoyancy body lying down when injecting helium gas or performing maintenance work on the balloon, thereby improving the convenience and efficiency of the work.
[0025] In addition, since the two rotors provided in the main body of the power generator rotate in different directions to cancel each other's rotational inertia, it is possible to maintain a stable posture at high altitudes without yawing without using a separate attitude control device.
[0026] In addition, power generation efficiency can be improved by reducing the drag of the rotor by wrapping the drag-generating part of the rotor with a drag-resisting part.

[0042] Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail based on matters illustrated in the drawings. However, if it is determined that a specific description of a related known function or configuration may unnecessarily obscure the gist of the present invention, the detailed description will be omitted.
[0043] The aerial wind power generation device of the present invention, which is easy to secure direction, includes a buoyancy body (200) that provides buoyancy for being located at a high altitude where strong winds blow, and has the characteristic that the direction is automatically changed in the direction in which the wind blows by the buoyancy body (200) and a stable posture can be maintained at a high altitude, and includes a power generation device main body (100) and a buoyancy body (200) as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
[0044] The above power generation device body (100) includes, as shown in FIGS. 4a to 4d, a rotating body (110) that converts wind energy into mechanical energy, a generator (120) that receives rotational force from the rotating body (110) and produces electricity, and a frame (130) that supports the rotating body (110) and the generator (120) and is connected to a buoyancy body (200).
[0045] The above-mentioned rotating body (110) includes a central axis (111) in a vertical position and a plurality of blades (112) arranged in a radial structure around the central axis (111). The blades (112) are formed as a semi-cylindrical structure in a vertical position, and are installed around the central axis (111) so as to receive wind energy through a concave inner surface (112a) and rotate together with the central axis (111).
[0046] A pair of these rotating bodies (110) are provided on the inside of the power generation device body (100), and the pair of rotating bodies (110) are provided in a left-right symmetrical structure so that they are adjacent to each other in the horizontal direction of the power generation device body (100), but rotate in different directions. For example, when one rotating body (110) rotates clockwise due to the wind flowing into the power generation device body (100), the other rotating body (110) is provided so that it rotates counterclockwise due to the same wind.
[0047] The above generator (120) rotates by the rotational force transmitted from a pair of rotors (110), and includes a rotor (121) made of permanent magnets, and a stator (122) made of a coil that surrounds the rotor (121) and is fixedly installed on the generator body (100), thereby generating electricity when the rotor (121) rotates. At this time, the rotor (121) extends in a horizontal position from the upper or lower portion of the rotor (110) and penetrates the stator (122), and is provided with a bevel gear portion (140) at both ends to be connected to the central axis (111) of the rotor (110) and to transmit the rotational force, and the bevel gear portion (140) can be configured to increase the rotational speed of the central axis (111) and transmit it to the rotor (121).
[0048] In this way, the generator (120) operates by receiving rotational force from a pair of rotors (110) and generates electricity, so it can increase the amount of power generated and can generate power effectively even in weak wind.
[0049] The above frame (130) is configured to accommodate a pair of rotors (110) and a generator (120) therein, and an air inlet (131) is formed on the front to allow wind to flow in between the pair of rotors (110), and an air outlet (132) is formed on the back to allow wind passing through the pair of rotors (110) to be discharged.
[0050] A frame (130) such as this is provided with a pair of drag resistance parts (133) that reduce the drag of the rotating body (110), and each drag resistance part (133) is formed to surround at least the front half of the rotating body (110) where the drag is generated by the wind when rotating. The pair of drag resistance parts (133) form both side walls of the frame (130), surround the outer half of each rotating body (110), and are provided spaced apart from each other on the left and right of the frame (130) to form the air inlet (131) and the air outlet (132).
[0051] At this time, as illustrated in Fig. 11, a plurality of segments (134) may be formed in each drag resistance section (133) of the frame (130) so that a plurality of guideways (135) through which wind passes are provided on the front side. That is, the guideways (135) convert the direction of the wind into the rotational direction of the blades (112) of the rotor (110), thereby improving the thrust of the blades (112) located in the drag area.
[0052] To this end, a cutting-edge protrusion (134a) is formed between segments (134) positioned relatively rearward to provide a curved guideway (135), thereby more actively changing the direction of the wind and fundamentally blocking the generation of drag due to wind that has not changed direction.
[0053] Meanwhile, a power generation device body according to another embodiment of the present invention includes a rotating body (110), a generator (120), and a frame (130), as shown in FIGS. 5a and 5b, wherein the rotating body (110) is configured such that blades (112) positioned outside receive wind energy and rotate, and the generator (120) is provided in a vertical position so as to receive rotational force transmitted from a pair of rotating bodies (110) through a bevel gear portion (140) and operate to produce electricity, and the frame (130) is configured such that a plurality of aluminum profiles are connected to each other to form a three-dimensional structure.
[0054] More specifically, a pair of rotors (110) provided on the inside of the main body of the power generator are configured such that a plurality of blades (112) are arranged radially around a central axis (111), and the blades (112) located on the outside near the left and right ends of the frame (130) are configured to rotate by receiving wind energy.
[0055] The above generator (120) is configured such that a rotor that rotates by a rotational force transmitted from a pair of rotors (110) through a bevel gear portion (140) constitutes the body of the generator (120), and a stator fixed to the frame (130) is positioned at the center of the rotor, so as to produce electricity when the rotor (110) rotates.
[0056] The above frame (130) is formed by combining a plurality of aluminum profiles in a bar shape into a three-dimensional shape, and supports a pair of rotors (110) and a generator (120). A pair of drag resistance parts (133) are provided in the central portion of the frame (130) formed by the aluminum profiles, and each drag resistance part (133) is formed to surround the inner half of the rotor (110) that generates drag by resisting the wind when the rotor rotates. Similarly, although not shown, a plurality of segments (134) are formed in the drag resistance part (133) so that a plurality of guideways (135) through which the wind passes are provided on the front side, so that the direction of the wind can be converted into the rotational direction of the blades (112) of the rotor (110).
[0057] The above buoyancy body (200) is installed on the power generation device body (100) so that it stands upright toward the upper rear of the power generation device body (100), is inclined toward the rear of the power generation device body (100), and changes direction together with the power generation device body (100) in the direction in which the wind blows, as shown in FIG. 2.
[0058] A buoyancy body (200) according to one embodiment of the present invention is composed of a support shaft (201) that stands in an upwardly inclined posture toward the rear of the power generation device body (100) as illustrated in FIGS. 6 to 8, and a plurality of balloons (202) that are installed on the support shaft (201) to form buoyancy. At this time, a plurality of balloons (202) installed on the support shaft (201) are arranged around the support shaft (201) to form a polygonal structure, and the polygonal structure formed by the plurality of balloons (202) can be formed by repeating in the longitudinal direction of the support shaft (201).
[0059] However, in order to secure the directionality of the front and rear, it is preferable that a plurality of balloons (202) are installed around the support shaft (201) so that three balloons (202) form a triangular structure centered on the support shaft (201), the triangular structure formed by the three balloons (202) is repeated in the longitudinal direction of the support shaft (201), and one of the three balloons (202) forming the triangular structure is located on the front side of the power generation device body (100) and the remaining two balloons (202) are located on the rear side of the power generation device body (100).
[0060] In this way, in a buoyancy body (200) composed of a support shaft (201) and a plurality of balloons (202), the support shaft (201) is composed of a hollow pipe and is connected to each balloon (202) through a branch pipe (203), so that helium gas supplied to the support shaft (201) can be supplied to each balloon (202) through the branch pipe (203), thereby improving the convenience of the work of filling or replenishing the plurality of balloons (202) with helium gas.
[0061] In particular, even if the volume of some balloons (202) decreases due to temperature changes or the gas filled in the buoyancy body (200) leaks out, the overall buoyancy can be maintained by using the remaining balloons (202) and the rewinder (220).
[0062] In addition, the support shaft (201) is hinge-connected to the power generation device body (100) by a hinge unit (210) so that the buoyancy body (200) can be turned into a lying position when filling helium gas or performing maintenance, thereby further improving the convenience of work related to the buoyancy body (200). At this time, the hinge unit (210) is fixed to the power generation device body (100) and is connected to the lower end of the support shaft (201) by a horizontal hinge shaft (211) so as to support the support shaft (201) in a structure that can rotate in the front-back direction, and is provided with a locking means (212) that is assembled so as to selectively limit the rotation of the support shaft (201) at a specific position.
[0063] The above locking means (212) is assembled to the hinge unit (210) in a structure parallel to the hinge axis (211) at a location adjacent to the hinge axis (211) so as to interfere with the support axis (201) when the support axis (201) rotates, thereby inhibiting the rotation of the support axis (201). In one embodiment, the locking means (212) is configured as a pair of pins so as to inhibit both forward and backward rotation of the support axis (201), and can be assembled to the hinge unit (210) so as to be positioned at the front and rear of the support axis (201), respectively.
[0064] According to the hinge unit (210) of this type, when charging helium gas or performing maintenance work on the buoyancy body (200), the buoyancy body (200) can be easily and safely accessed by laying the buoyancy body (200) toward the front or rear of the power generation device body (100), thereby improving the convenience, stability and efficiency of the work. After the charging of helium gas or the maintenance work is completed, the locking means (212) is assembled to the hinge unit (210) to fix the buoyancy body (200) at an angle to its original position.
[0065] Meanwhile, a buoyancy body (200) according to another embodiment of the present invention may be formed as a single streamlined balloon (202) that is formed to extend upwardly toward the rear, as illustrated in FIG. 9. The balloon (202) is installed at the upper rear end of the power generation device body (100) and extends in an upwardly inclined position toward the rear of the power generation device body (100), and its lower end is fixed to the power generation device body (100) so that its direction changes together with the power generation device body (100). In this way, the interior of the balloon (202) constituting the buoyancy body (200) is filled with helium gas to provide buoyancy force for the power generation device body (100) to float in the air. In addition, it is preferable that the cross-section of the balloon (202) also be formed to have a streamlined shape so that the forward and backward directionality is more stably secured.
[0066] The power generation device main body (100) levitated by the buoyancy body (200) as described above is connected to the rewinder (220) on the ground through a wire (223), as illustrated in FIG. 3, and the rewinder (220) may include a drum (221) on which the wire (223) connected to the power generation device main body (100) is wound, and a motor (222) that rotates the drum (221). When the altitude of the power generation device main body (100) decreases due to a change in temperature or a change in the amount of gas charged in the buoyancy body (200), the tension of the wire (223) can be kept constant by winding the wire (223). To this end, an altimeter may be installed in the power generation device main body (100), or a sensor, a detection device, and a controller for detecting the tension of the wire (223) may be provided in the rewinder (220).
[0067] The aerial wind power generation device of the present invention, which is configured as described above and has easy directionality, can position a pair of rotating bodies (110) at a high altitude as the main body (100) of the power generation device is levitated by the buoyancy provided by the buoyancy body (200).
[0068] Meanwhile, when there is no wind, the buoyancy body (200) maintains a vertical position as shown in Fig. 10, and at this time, the power generation device body (100) maintains a state of being tilted forward, so that foreign substances such as rainwater that have flowed into the power generation device body (100) can be naturally discharged.
[0069] On the other hand, when the wind blows, the buoyancy body (200) is pushed by the wind and tilts as shown in FIG. 3. Due to this movement of the buoyancy body (200), the power generation device body (100) switches to a horizontal position, and as wind flows in through the air inlet (131) of the power generation device body (100), a pair of rotating bodies (110) rotates, and the rotational force generated by the rotation of the pair of rotating bodies (110) is transmitted to the generator (120), thereby generating electricity. In this way, the electricity produced by the generator (120) can be supplied to and stored in the energy storage system (230) on the ground through a wire extending along the wire (223).
[0070] As described above, the buoyancy body (200) that is inclined by the wind and has a streamlined or triangular cross-section is arranged parallel to the direction in which the wind blows without separate control, so that the front of the power generation device body (100) can always face the wind, making it easy to secure directionality.
[0071] It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the aerial wind power generation device according to the present invention, which is easy to secure directionality as described above, can be implemented in other specific forms without changing the technical idea or essential features of the present invention.
[0072] Therefore, it should be understood that the embodiments described above are exemplary in all respects and not restrictive, and the scope of the present invention is indicated by the claims described below rather than the detailed description described above, and all changes or modifications derived from the meaning and scope of the claims and equivalent concepts should be interpreted as being included in the scope of the present invention.
