Abstract
Description
Wire harness
[0001] The present disclosure relates to a wire harness.
[0002] Conventionally, there is a wire harness having a core wire connection portion where core wires of a plurality of electric wires are connected to each other (see, for example, Patent Document 1). In this wire harness, the core wire connection portion is covered with a waterproof portion made of a resin material, and the waterproof portion is covered with a sheet body, thereby ensuring waterproofness of the core wire connection portion.
[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2021-34189
[0004] Incidentally, shielded wires may be used as the electric wires of the above-described wire harnesses. The shielded wire has a shielding member, such as a braided wire, that covers the outer periphery of the core wires via an insulating coating. Such wire harnesses have shielded connection portions that connect the shielding members while covering the outer periphery of the core wire connection portions via an insulating portion, thereby suppressing electromagnetic wave radiation from the core wire connection portions. Furthermore, a wire harness using shielded wires may be configured to ensure waterproofing by a molded portion that covers and seals the outer periphery of the shield connection portion.
[0005] However, when the molded portion is formed using a die, the flow of molten resin can cause the shield connection portion to shift position, potentially exposing the shield connection portion to the outside of the molded portion. This reduces the waterproofness of the wire harness. While it is possible to prevent the shield connection portion from being exposed by increasing the thickness of the molded portion, increasing the thickness of the molded portion leads to an increase in the amount of resin material used and an increase in the size of the wire harness. Therefore, there is a background to the desire to make the thickness of the molded portion as thin as possible.
[0006] An object of the present disclosure is to provide a wire harness that can suppress exposure of a shield connection portion.
[0007] The wire harness of the present disclosure is a wire harness including a plurality of shielded electric wires, each of which has a core wire, an insulating coating covering the outer periphery of the core wire, and a shielding member covering the outer periphery of the insulating coating. The wire harness includes a core wire connection portion where the core wires are connected to each other, an insulating portion covering the outer periphery of the core wire connection portion, a shield connection portion where the shielding members are connected to each other while covering the outer periphery of the insulating portion, and a molded portion that covers and seals the outer periphery of the shield connection portion, and also includes a position control component that is connected to the shield connection portion inside the molded portion and has a portion exposed to the outside of the molded portion.
[0008] According to the wire harness of the present disclosure, exposure of the shield connection portion can be suppressed.

[0010] [Description of Embodiments of the Present Disclosure] First, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below. A wire harness of the present disclosure is: [1] a wire harness including a plurality of shielded electric wires, each of the shielded electric wires having a core wire, an insulating coating covering an outer periphery of the core wire, and a shielding member covering the outer periphery of the insulating coating, the wire harness including: a core wire connecting portion connecting the core wires to each other, an insulating portion covering the outer periphery of the core wire connecting portion, a shield connecting portion covering the outer periphery of the insulating portion and connecting the shielding members to each other, a molded portion covering the outer periphery of the shield connecting portion and sealing the shield connecting portion, and a position control component attached to the shield connecting portion inside the molded portion and partially exposed to the outside of the molded portion.
[0011] According to this configuration, when the molded section is formed using a metal mold, part of the position control component is held in the metal mold, thereby preventing misalignment of the shield connecting section to which the position control component is attached, thereby preventing the shield connecting section from being exposed to the outside of the molded section.
[0012] [2] In the above [1], the position control component may have a holding portion that holds the entire outer periphery of the shield connection portion. With this configuration, the shield connection portion is held by the holding portion along the entire periphery, thereby suppressing positional deviation of the entire periphery of the shield connection portion. This further prevents the shield connection portion from being exposed to the outside of the molded portion.
[0013] [3] In the above [2], the holding portion may be formed in a cylindrical shape that can be in surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shield connection portion. With this configuration, the holding portion holds the shield connection portion while being in surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shield connection portion, thereby suppressing misalignment of the shield connection portion over a wide range. This further prevents the shield connection portion from being exposed to the outside of the molded portion.
[0014] [4] In the above [2] or [3], the position control component may be configured by combining two divided bodies. According to this configuration, by combining the two divided bodies, the position control component can be easily assembled from the outside of the shield connection part.
[0015] [5] In the above [4], the two divided bodies may have the same shape. This configuration reduces the number of types of parts compared to when the two divided bodies have different shapes. This makes it easier to manufacture the wire harness and manage parts during the manufacturing process.
[0016] [6] In any one of [1] to [5] above, the position control component may have a protrusion that is exposed to the outside of the molded portion and protrudes outward from the molded portion, and the protrusion may have a positioning portion.
[0017] This configuration allows for higher positioning accuracy when holding a part of the position control component in the mold than when no positioning portion is provided, thereby further reducing exposure of the shield connection portion to the outside of the molded portion.
[0018] [7] In the above [6], the positioning portion may also serve as a fixing portion for fixing the wire harness to the attachment object. According to this configuration, the wire harness can be fixed to the attachment object while maintaining a simple structure without providing a separate fixing portion.
[0019] [8] In any one of the above [1] to [7], the position control component may be made of resin. With this configuration, the waterproofing is improved compared to when the position control component is made of metal.
[0020] [Details of the Embodiments of the Present Disclosure] Specific examples of the wire harness of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. In each drawing, for convenience of explanation, some of the configuration may be exaggerated or simplified. Furthermore, the dimensional ratios of each part may differ between drawings. In this specification, "parallel," "orthogonal," and "perfect circle" do not only refer to strictly parallel, orthogonal, or perfect circle, but also include approximately parallel, orthogonal, or perfect circle within the scope of the effects of this embodiment. Note that the present invention is not limited to these examples, but is defined by the claims, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the claims.
[0021] (Configuration of Wire Harness 11) As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , the wire harness 11 includes one first shielded electric wire 12 as a shielded electric wire, two second shielded electric wires 13 and 14 as shielded electric wires, and an underlay ring 15 (see FIGS. 3 and 4 ).
[0022] As shown in FIG. 2, the wire harness 11 includes an inner heat-shrinkable tube 21 as an insulating portion, a shield connecting member 31, a crimping ring 32 (see FIG. 3), a bundling crimping ring 33 (see FIG. 4), a molded portion 34, and a position control component 35.
[0023] (Configuration of the First Shielded Electric Wire 12, the Second Shielded Electric Wires 13, 14, and the Underlay Ring 15) As shown in Fig. 3, the first shielded electric wire 12 has a first core wire 12a as a core wire and an insulating coating 12b that covers the outer periphery of the first core wire 12a. The cross-sectional shape of the first core wire 12a is circular. The first shielded electric wire 12 also has a first shield member 12c as a shielding member that covers the outer periphery of the insulating coating 12b, and an outer insulating coating 12d that covers the outer periphery of the first shield member 12c.
[0024] 4, the second shielded electric wires 13, 14 include second core wires 13a, 14a as core wires and insulating coatings 13b, 14b that cover the outer peripheries of the second core wires 13a, 14a. The cross-sectional shape of the second core wires 13a, 14a is circular. The second shielded electric wires 13, 14 also include second shield members 13c, 14c that cover the outer peripheries of the insulating coatings 13b, 14b and outer insulating coatings 13d, 14d that cover the outer peripheries of the second shield members 13c, 14c.
[0025] The first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c, 14c suppress radiation of electromagnetic waves from the first core wire 12a and the second core wires 13a, 14a. In this embodiment, the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c, 14c are braided wires in which conductive wires such as aluminum alloy wires are braided into a cylindrical shape. In the drawings, the shapes and appearances of the braided wires in the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c, 14c are appropriately illustrated schematically.
[0026] At the ends of the first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14, the first core wire 12a and the second core wires 13a and 14a are exposed to the outside (see FIG. 2). At the ends of the first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14, the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c and 14c are exposed to the outside (see FIGS. 3 and 4). The first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c and 14c have folded-back portions 12e, 13e, 14e that are folded back from the inside to the outside of the outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, 14d and arranged to cover the outer peripheries of the outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, 14d. In other words, the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c and 14c have folded-back portions 12e, 13e, and 14e formed by folding back the portions exposed outside the outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, and 14d.
[0027] First, the outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, and 14d are stripped from the ends of the first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14. Next, the first shield member 12c and the second shield member 13c and 14c are folded back from the ends of the first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14, and then the insulating coatings 12b, 13b, and 14b are stripped back. As a result, the first shield member 12c and the second shield member 13c and 14c are exposed, folded-back portions 12e, 13e, and 14e are formed, and the first core wire 12a and the second core wire 13a and 14a are exposed.
[0028] The underlying ring 15 is made of metal and has a cylindrical shape. The underlying ring 15 is disposed between the outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, and 14d and the folded-back portions 12e, 13e, and 14e. In other words, the underlying ring 15 is disposed on the outer periphery of the outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, and 14d when the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c and 14c are folded back.
[0029] As shown in FIG. 2 , the first core wire 12 a and the second core wires 13 a, 14 a are connected to each other to form a core wire connection portion 16. In this embodiment, the first core wire 12 a and the second core wires 13 a, 14 a are directly welded to each other. The first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13, 14 extend in opposite directions from the core wire connection portion 16. More specifically, the first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13, 14 extend in one direction (leftward in FIG. 2 ) and the two second shielded electric wires 13, 14 extend in the other direction (rightward in FIG. 2 ) from the core wire connection portion 16. The wire harness 11 electrically connects, for example, a battery connected to the first core wire 12 a and electrical devices connected to the second core wires 13 a, 14 a, respectively.
[0030] (Configuration of the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21) The internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 covers the outer periphery of the core wire connection portion 16. The internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 is formed in a cylindrical shape from an insulating resin material that shrinks when heated and hardens when cooled. The internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 is heated and cooled to a shape that shrinks toward the inner member. The internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 is provided so as to cover all of the first core wire 12a and the second core wires 13a and 14a exposed from the insulating coatings 12b, 13b, and 14b. The internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 is provided so as to also cover the ends of the insulating coatings 12b, 13b, and 14b.
[0031] (Configuration of the Shield Connecting Member 31, Crimping Ring 32, and Binding Crimping Ring 33) As shown in FIG. 2 , the shield connecting member 31 suppresses electromagnetic wave radiation from between the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c and 14c. The shield connecting member 31 connects to the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c and 14c while covering the outer periphery of the inner heat-shrinkable tube 21. The shield connecting member 31 is flexible. The shield connecting member 31 of this embodiment is a braided wire in which conductive wires such as aluminum alloy are braided into a tubular shape. Note that the figures schematically illustrate the shape and appearance of the braided wire in the shield connecting member 31 as appropriate. Specifically, the shield connecting member 31 is illustrated in a sheet-like form in the figures, with the details of the braided wire omitted. The shield connecting member 31 is disposed so as to continuously cover the range from the folded portion 12e of the first shield member 12c (see FIG. 3) to the folded portions 13e, 14e of the second shield members 13c, 14c (see FIG. 4).
[0032] 3, the crimping ring 32 is made of metal and formed into a cylindrical shape. The crimping ring 32 connects the folded-back portion 12e of the first shielding member 12c and the shield connecting member 31. Specifically, the crimping ring 32 is crimped from the outer periphery, thereby connecting the folded-back portion 12e of the first shielding member 12c and the shield connecting member 31 by tightening them from the outer periphery. The folded-back portion 12e and the shield connecting member 31 are connected by being sandwiched between the underlay ring 15 and the crimping ring 32.
[0033] As shown in FIG. 4 , the bundling crimping ring 33 is made of metal and formed into a cylindrical shape. The bundling crimping ring 33 connects the folded-back portions 13e, 14e of the second shielding members 13c, 14c to the shield connecting member 31. Specifically, the bundling crimping ring 33 is crimped from the outer periphery to bundle the two second shielded electric wires 13, 14 and to connect the folded-back portions 13e, 14e of the two second shielding members 13c, 14c to the shield connecting member 31. The folded-back portions 13e, 14e and the shield connecting member 31 are sandwiched and connected between the underlay ring 15 and the bundling crimping ring 33. As a result, in this embodiment, the shield connecting member 31, which covers the outer periphery of the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 and connects the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c, 14c to each other, constitutes a shield connecting portion. In this state, the folded portions 13e, 14e of the two adjacent second shielded wires 13, 14 come into contact with each other, so that the entire outer insulating coatings 13d, 14d are arranged apart.
[0034] (Configuration of the Molded Section 34) As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 , the molded section 34 encloses the shield connecting member 31 while covering the outer periphery of the shield connecting member 31. The molded section 34 also partially covers the outer periphery of the outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, and 14d. The molded section 34 is also interposed between two adjacent second shielded electric wires 13 and 14, and between the outer insulating coatings 13d and 14d (see FIG. 4 ). The molded section 34 is made of resin and is molded using a mold 41 (see FIGS. 9 and 10 ), which will be described later. This prevents liquid from penetrating the molded section 34. Note that the molded section 34 is configured to extend into the inside of the shield connecting member 31, but cross-sectional views such as FIG. 2 may not accurately depict the molded section 34 and may omit part of it.
[0035] (Configuration of Position Control Component 35) The position control component 35 is attached to the shield connecting member 31 inside the molded portion 34, and is partially exposed to the outside of the molded portion 34. The position control component 35 is made of resin.
[0036] More specifically, the position control component 35 has a holding portion 35a that holds the entire outer periphery of the shield connecting member 31. The holding portion 35a is formed in a cylindrical shape that can come into surface contact with the outer periphery of the shield connecting member 31.
[0037] 2 , the holding portion 35a is formed so as to be able to make surface contact with the outer circumferential surface of the shield connecting member 31 over an area larger than the area including the entire core wire connecting portion 16. In other words, the cylindrical holding portion 35a is longer than the length of the core wire connecting portion 16, and is positioned so as to cover the entire core wire connecting portion 16.
[0038] 1 and 2, the position control component 35 has protrusions 35b that are exposed to the outside of the molded portion 34 and protrude outward from the molded portion 34. Two protrusions 35b are provided. The protrusions 35b protrude in opposite directions away from the outer periphery of the cylindrical holding portion 35a. The protrusions 35b protrude in the same direction as the two second shielded electric wires 13, 14 are arranged side by side.
[0039] The protrusion 35b also has a through hole 35c as a positioning portion and a fixing portion. In this embodiment, the through hole 35c is formed in an elliptical shape. The through hole 35c constitutes a positioning portion formed so that a positioning protrusion 42 of a mold 41 (see FIGS. 9 and 10 ), which will be described later, fits into the through hole 35c. The through hole 35c also serves as a fixing portion for fixing the wire harness 11 to an attachment target (not shown) of a vehicle on which the wire harness 11 is mounted. That is, the wire harness 11 can be fixed to the vehicle body by, for example, a screw that passes through the through hole 35c and is screwed into the vehicle body as an attachment target.
[0040] As shown in FIG. 5 , the position control component 35 is formed by combining two divided bodies 36. The two divided bodies 36 have the same shape. In other words, the two divided bodies 36 are parts with the same product number. The two divided bodies 36 are configured to be assembled from the outside of the shield connecting member 31 when combined. Each divided body 36 has half of the holding portion 35 a and one protruding portion 35 b. The two divided bodies 36 may be configured to be fixed by, for example, engaging portions (not shown) with each other. The two divided bodies 36 may also be configured to be fixed by, for example, adhesive or adhesive tape.
[0041] Next, a description will be given of a manufacturing method and operation of the wire harness 11 configured as described above. As shown in Figures 6 to 9, the manufacturing method of the wire harness 11 of this embodiment includes a core wire connecting step, an internal insulation step, a shield connecting step, a position control component assembling step, and a molding step.
[0042] First, as shown in FIG. 6 , in the core wire connecting step, the first core wire 12 a and the second core wires 13 a and 14 a of the first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14 are connected to form a core wire connecting portion 16 .
[0043] 7 , in the internal insulation process, the outside of the core wire connecting portion 16 is covered with an internal heat-shrinkable tube 21. More specifically, in the internal insulation process, an unheated internal heat-shrinkable tube 21a is placed on the outside of the core wire connecting portion 16, and is heated and cooled, thereby covering the outside of the core wire connecting portion 16 with the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21.
[0044] Next, as shown in Fig. 8, in the shield connecting step, the shield connecting member 31 is connected to the folded-back portions 12e, 13e, and 14e (see Fig. 7) of the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c and 14c. More specifically, in the shield connecting step, the shield connecting member 31 is connected to the folded-back portions 12e, 13e, and 14e (see Fig. 7) using the crimping ring 32 and the bundling crimping ring 33 while covering the outside of the inner heat-shrinkable tube 21 with the shield connecting member 31.
[0045] 5 and 8 , in the position control component assembling process, the position control component 35 is attached to the shield connecting member 31. More specifically, the position control component 35 is assembled to the shield connecting member 31 from the outside by combining two divided bodies 36 so as to sandwich the shield connecting member 31.
[0046] 9, in the molding process, the molded portion 34 that covers and seals the outer periphery of the shield connecting member 31 (see FIG. 8) is formed using a mold 41. At this time, the molded portion 34 is formed in a state where a part of the position control component 35 is held in the mold 41.
[0047] 10 , the mold 41 includes a lower mold 43 and an upper mold 44. The lower mold 43 has the positioning protrusion 42 described above and a lower cavity 43a corresponding to the molded section 34. The upper mold 44 has a recess 45 into which the tip of the positioning protrusion 42 fits, and an upper cavity 44a corresponding to the molded section 34.
[0048] 9, in the molding process, the position control component 35 is first placed on the lower mold 43 so that the positioning protrusion 42 fits into the through-hole 35c of the position control component 35. Next, the upper mold 44 is placed on the lower mold 43 so that the tip of the positioning protrusion 42 fits into the recess 45 (see FIG. 10) and the lower mold 43 and upper mold 44 sandwich the protrusion 35b of the position control component 35. Molten resin is then filled into the space surrounded by the lower cavity 43a and the upper cavity 44a and further cooled to form the molded portion 34. Note that FIG. 9 illustrates a state in which the upper mold 44 is separated from the lower mold 43 after the molded portion 34 has been formed.
[0049] This completes the manufacture of the wire harness 11. In the wire harness 11 configured in this manner, the shield connecting member 31 is sealed in the molded portion 34, which prevents the shield connecting member 31 and the core wire connecting portion 16 from becoming wet, thereby ensuring the waterproofness of the wire harness 11.
[0050] Next, the effects of the above embodiment are described below. (1) The position control component 35 is provided, which is attached to the shield connecting member 31 inside the molded portion 34 and is partially exposed to the outside of the molded portion 34. Therefore, by holding a portion of the position control component 35 in the mold 41 when the molded portion 34 is formed using the mold 41, it is possible to prevent the shield connecting member 31, to which the position control component 35 is attached, from shifting in position. This prevents the shield connecting member 31 from being exposed to the outside of the molded portion 34. This allows the waterproofness of the wire harness 11 to be stably improved.
[0051] (2) The shield connecting member 31 is held by the holding portion 35a along the entire outer periphery, which reduces positional deviation of the entire periphery of the shield connecting member 31. This further reduces exposure of the shield connecting member 31 to the outside of the molded portion 34.
[0052] (3) Because the holding portion 35a is in surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shield connecting member 31 and holds the shield connecting member 31, misalignment of the shield connecting member 31 is suppressed over a wide range. This further prevents the shield connecting member 31 from being exposed to the outside of the molded portion 34.
[0053] (4) The position control component 35 is constructed by combining two divided bodies 36. Therefore, by combining the two divided bodies 36, the position control component 35 can be easily assembled from the outside of the shield connecting member 31.
[0054] (5) Since the two divided bodies 36 have the same shape, the number of types of parts can be reduced compared to when the two divided bodies 36 have different shapes. This makes it easier to manufacture the wire harness 11 and manage parts during the manufacturing process.
[0055] (6) The position control component 35 has a protruding portion 35b that is exposed to the outside of the molded portion 34 and protrudes outward from the molded portion 34, and the protruding portion 35b has a through-hole 35c that serves as a positioning portion. Therefore, compared to a case where no positioning portion is provided, the positioning accuracy when a portion of the position control component 35 is held in the mold 41 can be improved. Therefore, exposure of the shield connecting member 31 to the outside of the molded portion 34 is further reduced.
[0056] (7) The through holes 35c as positioning portions also serve as fixing portions for fixing the wire harness 11 to the attachment object. Therefore, the wire harness 11 can be fixed to the attachment object with a simple structure without providing a separate fixing portion.
[0057] (8) The position control component 35 is made of resin, which makes it more waterproof than if it were made of metal. That is, the position control component 35 is made of resin, which is less susceptible to corrosion, and therefore has a higher waterproofing.
[0058] The above embodiment can be modified as follows: The above embodiment and the following modifications can be combined to the extent that no technical contradiction occurs. In the above embodiment, the position control component 35 has the holding portion 35a that holds the entire outer periphery of the shield connecting member 31, but this is not limited to this and the position control component 35 may be modified to have another configuration in which it is fixed to at least a portion of the shield connecting member 31.
[0059] In the above embodiment, the holding portion 35a is formed in a cylindrical shape that can make surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shield connecting member 31, but this is not limited to this and the holding portion 35a may be changed to a configuration that makes line contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shield connecting member 31. Also, in the above embodiment, the holding portion 35a is formed to be able to make surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shield connecting member 31 over an area larger than the area that includes the entire core wire connecting portion 16, but the holding portion 35a may be formed to be able to make surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shield connecting member 31 over another area.
[0060] In the above embodiment, the position control component 35 is configured by combining two divided bodies 36, but this is not limited to this and the position control component 35 may be a single integrally molded component or may be configured by three or more divided bodies. Note that when the position control component 35 is a single integrally molded component, it may be configured to hold a portion of the outer periphery of the shield connecting member 31 without having the holding portion 35a, for example.
[0061] In the above embodiment, the two divided bodies 36 have the same shape, but this is not limitative and the two divided bodies 36 may have different shapes. In other words, the two divided bodies 36 may be parts with different product numbers.
[0062] In the above embodiment, the position control component 35 has the protruding portion 35b that protrudes outward from the molded portion 34, and the protruding portion 35b has the through-hole 35c as a positioning portion, but this is not limited thereto, and the position control component 35 may have no positioning portion. In other words, the protruding portion 35b may be simply clamped by the mold 41.
[0063] In the above embodiment, the through hole 35c as a positioning portion also serves as a fixing portion for the attachment object, but this is not limited thereto, and it does not have to also serve as a fixing portion. For example, the position control component 35 and the molded portion 34 do not have to have a fixing portion.
[0064] In the above embodiment, the position control component 35 is made of resin, but is not limited to this and may be made of metal, for example. In this case, the protrusion 35b may be used as a ground terminal.
[0065] In the above embodiment, the position control component 35 is exposed to the outside of the molded portion 34 and has the protrusion 35b that protrudes from the molded portion 34 to the outside, but the finished product does not have to have the protrusion 35b.
[0066] For example, as shown in FIG. 11, the wire harness 11 may be configured such that the protrusion 35b is cut off after the molded portion 34 is formed, so that the position control component 35 does not have the protrusion 35b but has a cutout mark 35d exposed to the outside.
[0067] In the above embodiment, the position control component 35 has two protrusions 35b, but this is not limited to this, and the number of protrusions 35b that the position control component 35 has may be one, or may be three or more.
[0068] In the above embodiment, the positioning portion of the protrusion 35b of the position control component 35 is the through hole 35c, but this is not limited thereto and the positioning portion may be changed to another shape such as a positioning protrusion. In this case, it is of course necessary to change the shape of the mold 41 according to the shape of the positioning portion.
[0069] In the above embodiment, the shield connecting member 31 constitutes the shield connection portion, but this is not limited to this. For example, the first shield member 12c and the second shield members 13c and 14c may be directly connected, and the connection portion may be used as the shield connection portion.
[0070] In the above embodiment, the insulating portion covering the outer periphery of the core wire connection portion 16 is the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 , but this is not limited to this and may be changed to an insulating portion other than the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 .
[0071] In the above embodiment, the first core wire 12a and the second core wires 13a, 14a are directly welded together, but this is not limited to this. For example, the first core wire 12a and the second core wires 13a, 14a may be connected using separate members.
[0072] In the above embodiment, the wire harness 11 includes one first shielded electric wire 12 and two second shielded electric wires 13, 14. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the number of the first shielded electric wires 12 and the number of the second shielded electric wires 13, 14 may be changed.
[0073] In the above embodiment, the first shielding member 12c and the second shielding members 13c, 14c are braided wires in which wires are woven into a tubular shape, but this is not limited to this and they may be metal foils made of, for example, an aluminum alloy.
[0074] In the above embodiment, the shield connecting member 31 is a braided wire in which element wires are woven into a cylindrical shape, but this is not limited thereto and may be, for example, a metal foil made of an aluminum alloy or the like. The shield connecting member 31 may also be configured so that it can be disposed from the outside of the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21. For example, the shield connecting member 31 may be a braided wire in which element wires are woven into a sheet shape, and may be disposed so as to cover the outer periphery of the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 by being wrapped around the internal heat-shrinkable tube 21 from the outside.
[0075] The shield connection member 31 in the illustrated embodiment may be referred to as a flexible shield layer or foil made of a conductive material. The position control component 35 in the illustrated embodiment may be referred to as a hard shell or embedded case made of a synthetic resin.
[0076] As shown in Fig. 2, the first shielded electric wire 12 and the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14 may each have a tubular outer insulating coating 12d, 13d, or 14d that provides the outermost surface of the electric wire. Each of the tubular outer insulating coatings 12d, 13d, or 14d may have a longitudinal end opening. The end opening of the tubular outer insulating coating 12d of the first shielded electric wire 12 may be separated from the end openings of the tubular outer insulating coatings 13d and 14d of the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14 by a longitudinal space or an outer insulating coating distance. As shown in Figs. 2 and 5, the position control component 35 may cover the entire circumference of the shield connecting member 31 at a position corresponding to the longitudinal space between the end opening of the tubular outer insulating coating 12d of the first shielded electric wire 12 and the end openings of the tubular outer insulating coatings 13d and 14d of the second shielded electric wires 13 and 14. This arrangement is advantageous in preventing the diameter of the wire harness 11 from increasing, and in preventing the metal braided wire and the like from being exposed near the core wire connection portion.
