Abstract
Description
Foldable electronic device
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese Patent Application No. 202322515857.4, filed on September 14, 2023, and entitled "Foldable electronic device", the content of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. TECHNICAL FIELD
[0002] The present application relates to the technical field of display electronic products, and in particular to a foldable electronic device. BACKGROUND
[0003] Currently, foldable screens are widely used in electronic devices, such as foldable mobile phones, foldable tablets, etc. In such foldable electronic devices, for example, double-folded electronic devices, two middle frames are connected by a hinge structure to achieve the flattening and closing of the foldable screen.
[0004] Foldable electronic devices have a falling scenario in use, and foldable electronic devices are more fragile than non-foldable electronic devices in the falling scenario due to their complex structure. For example, the position of the hinge structure makes it difficult to meet the product drop height requirement in the drop reliability. For example, when the closed electronic device falls to the ground, the screen swings and hits the end of the hinge structure, which easily causes the foldable screen to be squeezed and appear black spots or line failure phenomenon.
[0005] SUMMARY
[0006] The present application provides a foldable electronic device. The purpose is to alleviate the impact of the display screen when the foldable electronic device falls, and to improve the drop reliability of the device.
[0007] To achieve the above purpose, the embodiments of the present application adopt the following technical solutions:
[0008] On the one hand, the present application provides a foldable electronic device. For example, the foldable electronic device can be a foldable mobile phone, a foldable tablet, etc.
[0009] The foldable electronic device includes a first middle frame, a second middle frame, a hinge structure, and a display screen. The first middle frame and the second middle frame are arranged on both sides of the hinge structure, and the display screen is arranged on one side of the hinge structure, the first middle frame and the second middle frame. The first middle frame and the second middle frame move towards or away from each other through the hinge structure to convert the display screen between the flat state and the closed state. The foldable electronic device can also include more middle frames to form a double-folded, triple-folded, or more-folded electronic device.
[0010] The end of the rotating shaft structure comprises a shielding piece, and the shielding piece comprises a first side and a second side in a back-to-back manner along the axis direction of the rotating shaft structure; the display screen is in a flat state or a closed state, the first side faces the side of the display screen, and the second side is away from the display screen; a part of the first side has a avoiding space, and the projection of the display screen on the first side is at least partially located in the avoiding space along the axis direction of the rotating shaft structure, the avoiding space can be used to accommodate the display screen offset to the shielding piece, for example, the avoiding space can be a cavity formed by locally excavating the first side, and the recessed area obtained by excavating can accommodate the offset display screen. In some falling scenarios, for example, when the shielding piece falls towards the ground, the shielding piece may be concave towards the display screen due to impact, or the display screen is swung and falls towards the shielding piece, the avoiding space can increase the falling buffer space of the display screen, or provide more space for the concave shielding piece, thereby reducing the risk of screen failure caused by the collision between the display screen and the shielding piece.
[0011] In a possible implementation, the first side of the shielding piece has a recessed part recessed towards the second side, and the avoiding space is located in the recessed part.
[0012] The application example is to form the avoiding space by using the recessed part recessed towards the second side.
[0013] In a possible implementation, the display screen comprises a first part facing the shielding piece, and at least part of the first part is located in the recessed part on the first side along the axis direction of the rotating shaft structure.
[0014] In a possible implementation, the display screen is in the closed state, the first part is in a bent state, and at least part of the bent part is located in the recessed part on the first side along the axis direction of the rotating shaft structure; the display screen is in the flat state, the first part is in a flat state, and at least part of the flat part is located in the recessed part on the first side along the axis direction of the rotating shaft structure.
[0015] When the foldable electronic device is in the closed state, in a falling scenario, for example, when the shielding piece falls towards the ground, the bent part of the display screen has a large falling amount, and the recessed part provided on the shielding piece can accommodate the falling bent part, so that the collision between the bent part and the shielding piece to cause screen failure can be avoided.
[0016] For example, when the display screen is in the flat state, the display screen comprises a flat part opposite to the shielding piece, and when the foldable electronic device is in the flat state, for example, when the shielding piece falls towards the ground, the cavity can accommodate the flat part of the display screen, thereby reducing the probability of collision between the flat part and the shielding piece.
[0017] In a possible implementation, in the first direction, a portion of the first side surface of the shielding member, which is close to the bottom of the shielding member and points to the middle portion of the shielding member, is inclined towards the second side surface; the first direction is a direction in which the hinge structure points to the first middle frame when the display screen is in the unfolded state.
[0018] In the implementation, it can be understood that the bottom of the shielding member is thickened from the edge to the middle portion of the shielding member. For example, in a falling scenario, when the display screen is in the closed state, the thicker edge of the shielding member can play a reinforcing role to reduce the offset of the shielding member towards the display screen, thereby reducing the risk of screen failure caused by the collision between the display screen and the shielding member.
[0019] In addition, the thicker edge of the shielding member can also improve the strength of the entire shielding member.
[0020] In a possible implementation, the first side surface of the shielding member has a protruding block protruding towards the display screen at a position close to the middle of the top of the shielding member, the protruding block has a spacing from the bottom of the shielding member, and a portion of the first side surface that is recessed relative to the protruding block forms a recessed portion.
[0021] In the example of the present application, the protruding block is formed on the first side surface of the shielding member, and the recessed portion is formed on the first side surface.
[0022] In a possible implementation, the side surface of the protruding block facing the display screen has a gap from the side surface of the display screen when the display screen is in the unfolded state or the closed state.
[0023] In a possible implementation, the recessed portion includes a first region on one side of the protruding block, a second region on the other side of the protruding block, and a third region between the protruding block and the bottom of the shielding member; the display screen includes a first arc segment, a second arc segment, and an intermediate arc segment connected between the first arc segment and the second arc segment when the display screen is in the closed state; the first region faces the first arc segment, and a projection of the first arc segment on the first side surface is at least partially located in the first region along the axis direction of the hinge structure; the second region faces the second arc segment, and a projection of the second arc segment on the first side surface is at least partially located in the second region along the axis direction of the hinge structure; the third region faces the intermediate arc segment, and a projection of the intermediate arc segment on the first side surface is at least partially located in the third region along the axis direction of the hinge structure.
[0024] The present application forms a plurality of regions by using the protruding block, and different regions can accommodate a plurality of different arc segments of the bending portion.
[0025] In a possible implementation, the display screen is in the unfolded state, the recessed portion under the protruding block faces the side of the display screen, and a projection of the display screen on the first side along the axis direction of the hinge structure is at least partially located in the recessed cavity region under the protruding block.
[0026] The recessed portion under the protruding block can accommodate the offset unfolded display screen.
[0027] In a possible implementation, along a first direction, a portion of the first side for forming the recessed portion is inclined from the middle to the edge; the first direction is a direction in which the hinge structure points to the first middle frame when the display screen is in the unfolded state.
[0028] The inclined design of the position close to the edge of the first side can further increase the spacing between the bent portion of the display screen and the first side, and further increase the falling space of the display screen.
[0029] In a possible implementation, the first side of the shielding piece has a protruding block arranged around the edge, and the protruding block arranged around surrounds the recessed portion.
[0030] In a possible implementation, the display screen is in the closed state, and the display screen includes a first arc segment, a second arc segment, and a middle arc segment connected between the first arc segment and the second arc segment; a projection of the first arc segment, the second arc segment, and the middle arc segment on the first side along the axis direction of the hinge structure is at least partially located in the recessed portion.
[0031] In the implementation, the protruding block is arranged around the recessed portion, and the recessed portion is used to accommodate the offset bent portion.
[0032] In a possible implementation, the recessed portion is provided with an elastic structure.
[0033] The elastic structure can not only weaken the impact force between the display screen and the shielding piece, but also reduce the gap between the shielding piece and the display screen, and improve the high delicacy of the whole machine.
[0034] In a possible implementation, the material of the elastic structure includes at least one of foam, rubber, and a brush.
[0035] In a possible implementation, along a first direction, the first side is inclined from the middle to the edge; the first direction is a direction in which the hinge structure points to the first middle frame when the display screen is in the unfolded state.
[0036] In this example, the edge of the first side is arc-avoided to form an avoidance space.
[0037] In a possible implementation, the top surface of the shielding piece is inclined in a direction from the middle part of the shielding piece to the edge.
[0038] With the inclined surface design, when the electronic device in the closed state falls, a buffer space can be provided for the bent part of the display screen towards the shielding piece.
[0039] In a possible implementation, the rotating shaft structure includes a main shaft, the main shaft is located on the side of the display screen away from the display surface, the end of the main shaft includes the shielding piece, the main shaft includes a first surface facing the side of the display screen away from the display surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the side of the display screen away from the display surface is the side opposite to the display surface; the region of the first surface close to the shielding piece is an inclined surface, the inclined surface is inclined in a direction from the middle part of the main shaft to the end, and the inclined surface is inclined towards the second surface, and a gap is formed between the inclined surface and the side of the display screen away from the display surface; when the display screen is directed towards the main shaft, the projection of the display screen on the first surface is at least partially located on the inclined surface.
[0040] The position of the main shaft close to the shielding piece is designed as an inclined surface, so that the gap between the display screen and the main shaft is increased, and when the electronic device falls, the buffer space of the display screen is increased, and the risk of impact between the display screen and the main shaft is reduced.
[0041] In a possible implementation, the rotating shaft structure includes a main shaft, the main shaft is located on the side of the display screen away from the display surface, the end of the main shaft includes the shielding piece, the main shaft includes a first surface facing the side of the display screen away from the display surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, the side of the display screen away from the display surface is the side opposite to the display surface; the region of the first surface close to the shielding piece is an inclined surface, the inclined surface is inclined in a direction from the middle part of the main shaft to the end, and the inclined surface is inclined towards the second surface, and a gap is formed between the inclined surface and the side of the display screen away from the display surface; when the display screen is directed towards the main shaft, the projection of the display screen on the first surface is at least partially located on the inclined surface.
[0042] With the recess design, a larger screen space can be provided for the falling display screen, and the display screen is protected.
[0043] In a possible implementation, the display screen is in the closed state, the display screen includes a bent part facing the shielding piece, and along the thickness direction of the main shaft, the projection of the bent part on the first surface is at least partially located in the recess; the display screen is in the flat state, the display screen includes a flat part facing the shielding piece, and along the thickness direction of the main shaft, the projection of the flat part on the first surface is at least partially located in the recess.
[0044] No matter in the closed state or in the flat state, when the electronic device falls, the recess can provide a falling space for the display screen, the display screen is protected, and the risk of impact between the display screen and the main shaft is reduced.
[0045] In a possible implementation, a groove is formed on at least one of the first middle frame and the second middle frame, and is located close to the hinge structure. When the display screen points to the direction of the first middle frame, a projection of the display screen on the first middle frame is at least partially located in the groove.
[0046] For example, in some drop scenarios, when the electronic device in the unfolded state falls, the display screen on the side of the hinge structure will arch. The groove can accommodate the arched screen, reducing the risk of impact between the arched screen and the edge of the middle frame.
[0047] In a possible implementation, the groove is arranged close to the end of the hinge structure.
[0048] When the electronic device falls, the greater the deformation of the part of the display screen close to the end of the hinge structure, and then the end of the groove close to the hinge structure is arranged.
[0049] In a possible implementation, a first groove is formed on the edge of the first middle frame, and a second groove is formed on the edge of the second middle frame. The shielding piece is arranged in a space surrounded by the first groove and the second groove. The edge of the first middle frame has a first surface surrounding the first groove, and the edge of the second middle frame has a second surface surrounding the second groove. When the display screen is in the closed state, the first surface faces the top surface of the shielding piece, and there is a gap between the first surface and the top surface of the shielding piece. The second surface faces the top surface of the shielding piece, and there is a gap between the second surface and the top surface of the shielding piece.
[0050] In some drop scenarios, for example, when the hinge structure of the electronic device in the closed state falls towards the ground, the gap between the middle frame and the shielding piece can reduce the falling amount of the middle frame and keep the accommodation space of the bent part of the display screen from being squeezed. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0100] The present application provides a foldable electronic device. The foldable electronic device can include various electronic devices having a foldable screen and capable of changing the unfolded or folded state of the foldable screen and itself.
[0101] Under different use requirements, the foldable electronic device can be unfolded to a flattened state, folded to a closed state, or in an intermediate state between the flattened state and the closed state.
[0102] The foldable electronic device has at least two states, i.e., a flattened state and a closed state. In some cases, a third state, i.e., an intermediate state between the flattened state and the closed state, can be further included. It can be understood that the intermediate state is not only a unique state, but can be any one or more states of the foldable electronic device between the flattened state and the closed state.
[0103] Exemplarily, the foldable electronic device can include, but is not limited to, a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a notebook computer, an electronic book reader, a camera, a wearable device, a household electronic device, and the like.
[0104] For ease of understanding, in each embodiment of the present application, the foldable electronic device is exemplarily described by taking a mobile phone as an example.
[0105] Referring to FIG. 1, FIG. 1 is an exploded view of a foldable electronic device 100 in a flat state according to an embodiment of the present application, and FIG. 2 is a further exploded view of the foldable electronic device 100 in the flat state according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the foldable electronic device 100 can include a hinge structure 02, a first middle frame 011, a second middle frame 012, and a display screen 03.
[0106] The first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 are arranged on opposite sides of the hinge structure 02 and are respectively connected to the hinge structure 02. The hinge structure 02 is movable to fold or unfold the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 relative to each other. When the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 are folded, the foldable electronic device 100 can be in a closed state. When the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 are unfolded, the foldable electronic device 100 can be in a flat state.
[0107] When the foldable electronic device 100 is in the closed state, the display screen 03 is in a closed state. When the foldable electronic device 100 is in the flat state, the display screen 03 is in a flat state.
[0108] The display screen 03 can be used to display information and provide an interactive interface for the user. In various embodiments of the present application, the display screen 03 can include, but is not limited to, an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display screen, an active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) display screen, a mini organic light-emitting diode display screen, a micro organic light-emitting diode display screen, a micro organic light-emitting diode display screen, a quantum dot light emitting diode (QLED) display screen, and the like. As previously described, the foldable electronic device 100 can be switched between the unfolded state and the closed state through the movement of the hinge structure 02, and the display screen 03 can be folded or unfolded with the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012.
[0109] In examples, the folding manner of the foldable electronic device can include an inner folding manner and an outer folding manner.
[0110] The outer folding manner refers to the display screen being on the outer side of the electronic device during the process of the electronic device being switched from the unfolded state to the closed state and the electronic device being in the closed state, i.e., the display screen 03 is still visible to the user during the folding process and in the closed state, and the user can also perform some operations on the display screen 03 in the closed state.
[0111] The inner folding manner refers to the display screen 03 being on the inner side of the foldable electronic device 100 during the process of the electronic device being switched from the unfolded state to the closed state and the electronic device being in the closed state, i.e., the display screen 03 gradually becomes invisible to the user during the folding process until the display screen 03 is hidden between the two middle frames in the closed state. For example, as shown in FIG. 1, when the first middle frame 011 rotates along the P1 direction and the second middle frame 012 rotates along the P2 direction, the display screen 03 is on the inner side of the foldable electronic device 100 until the display screen 03 is hidden between the two middle frames in the closed state, and such a foldable electronic device 100 can be referred to as an inner folding electronic device.
[0112] Any one of the middle frames given by the embodiments of the present application can include a middle frame body and a frame connected to the outer periphery of the middle frame body. For example, in FIG. 2, the first middle frame 011 includes a first middle frame body 011A and a first frame 011B connected to the outer periphery of the first middle frame body 011A; and the second middle frame 012 includes a second middle frame body 012A and a second frame 012B connected to the outer periphery of the second middle frame body 012A.
[0113] In some examples, the side of the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 away from the display screen 03 has a back cover plate, and any one of the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 can form a mounting space with the back cover plate for mounting electronic devices such as a circuit board, a battery, a receiver, a speaker, a camera, and the like of the foldable electronic device. Among them, the circuit board can integrate electronic devices such as a main controller, a storage unit, an antenna module, a power management module, and the like of the foldable electronic device, and the battery can power electronic devices such as the display screen 03, the circuit board, the receiver, the speaker, the camera, and the like.
[0114] In some structures, the first middle frame body 011A and the first frame 011B in FIG. 2 can be an integrally formed piece, or, in other structures, the first middle frame body 011A and the first frame 011B can be independent structural pieces that are connected together when assembled, such as an adhesive layer or a connecting piece such as a screw.
[0115] The second middle frame body 012A and the second frame 012B of the second middle frame 012 can also be an integrally formed piece, or can be two independent structural pieces that need to be connected by a connecting piece.
[0116] See FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, FIG. 3 shows an exploded view of the first middle frame 011 and the hinge structure 02. In some examples, the structural diagram of the example in FIG. 3 can also be a view of the second middle frame 012.
[0117] In combination with FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, the first middle frame 011 has a seating groove 011C at a position close to the second middle frame 012. In some structures, the second middle frame 012 has a seating groove at a position close to the first middle frame 011, and the two seating grooves can enclose a containing space for arranging the hinge structure 02.
[0118] As shown in FIG. 4, FIG. 4 shows a structural schematic diagram of a hinge structure 02 given by the embodiments of the present application. Along the axis direction of the hinge structure 02, at opposite ends of the hinge structure 02, there are respectively provided a shielding piece 1.
[0119] When the foldable electronic device 100 is in the unfolded state, at least part of the hinge structure 02 and the shielding piece 1 are hidden in the containing space between the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012.
[0120] In some examples, the rotating shaft structure 02 can include the main shaft 021 of the example of FIG. 4, and other transmission structures, the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 can rotate relative to the main shaft 021 through some transmission structures. The side of the main shaft 021 away from the display screen 03 can also be provided with a back cover.
[0121] As shown in FIG. 4, the shielding piece 1 can be arranged at the end of the main shaft 021. In some structures, the main shaft 021 can be an integral molded structure with the shielding piece 1. Not only can the structure of the foldable electronic device be simplified, but compared with a separately arranged shielding piece (which can also be referred to as a T-shaped block), the assembly process can also be simplified, and the phenomenon of product defects caused by poor assembly can be reduced.
[0122] The foldable electronic device such as the above example can have many falling scenarios when in use. For example, as shown in FIG. 5, when falling along the black arrow direction in FIG. 5, that is, when the shielding piece 1 falls towards the ground, whether the electronic device is in a flat state, or in a closed state, or in an intermediate state, the shielding piece 1 will be concave towards the display screen 03 when impacted by the ground, or the display screen 03 can be swung and can impact the shielding piece 1, which can cause the display screen 03 to fail.
[0123] In order to avoid the display screen being impacted and failing in this falling scenario, some means for reducing the impact failure of the display screen are given in the embodiments of the present application.
[0124] As shown in FIGS. 6, 7, and 8, FIG. 6 is a structural schematic diagram of an embodiment of the present application, which includes a main shaft 021 and a shielding piece 1, FIG. 7 shows an assembly relationship diagram of the structure shown in FIG. 6 and a display screen 03, in order to clearly show the positional relationship between the shielding piece 1 and the display screen 03, FIG. 7 only shows part of the structure of the display screen and the main shaft 021, and FIG. 8 is an enlarged view of A in FIG. 6.
[0125] As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, along the axis direction of the rotating shaft structure, the shielding piece 1 has first and second side surfaces which are back to back, wherein, when the display screen 03 is in a closed state or a flat state, or in an intermediate state, the first side surface faces the side surface of the display screen 03, and the second side surface faces away from the display screen 03. The first side surface of the shielding piece 1 has a part region with a clearance space, along the axis direction of the rotating shaft structure, the projection of the display screen on the first side surface is at least partially located in the clearance space, and the clearance space is used to accommodate the display screen 03 which is offset towards the shielding piece 1.
[0126] Then, when the foldable electronic device 100 falls along the falling direction shown in FIG. 5, the clearance space can increase the falling space of the display screen 03, reduce the risk of impact with the shielding piece 1, or increase the concave space of the shielding piece 1 which is impacted, and reduce the probability of impact between the display screen 03 and the shielding piece 1.
[0127] The application provides various avoidable spaces, as described below.
[0128] As shown in FIG. 8, on the first side of the shield 1, there is a convex block 11. The area of the first side that is recessed relative to the convex block 11 forms a recess 12. The recess 12 can accommodate the display screen 03 that is offset towards the shield 1. When the foldable electronic device is in the unfolded state or the closed state, the side of the convex block 11 that faces the display screen has a gap with the display screen. As shown in FIG. 9, FIG. 9 shows an exploded schematic view of the shield 1 and the display screen 03 in the closed state, and shows part of the structure of the display screen 03. The display screen 03 in the closed state includes a first part 031, a second part 032, and a third part 033, and the third part 033 is connected between the first part 031 and the second part 032.
[0129] In some examples, the first part 031 is connected with the first middle frame 011, the second part 032 is connected with the second middle frame 012, and the third part 033 is located on one side of the hinge structure 02. When the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 rotate towards each other through the hinge structure 02, in some structures, the third part 033 includes a bending part, which can be in a water drop structure as shown in FIG. 9.
[0130] FIG. 9 shows the approximate positions of the first part 031, the second part 032, and the third part 033, and does not constitute an absolute limitation on the positions.
[0131] In combination with FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, when the electronic device is in the closed state, the recess 12 shown in FIG. 8 faces the third part 033 shown in FIG. 9, and the recess 12 can accommodate the third part 033 that is offset towards the shield 1.
[0132] In some examples, when the display screen 03 is in the closed state, the projection of the third part 033 on the first side in the direction of the axis of the hinge structure is at least partially located in the recess 12.
[0133] When the electronic device in the closed state falls along the direction shown in FIG. 5, the third part 033 shown in FIG. 9 has a greater falling amount than the first part 031 and the second part 032. By providing the recess 12 on the first side of the shield 1, the distance between the third part 033 and the shield 1 can be increased by using the recess 12, so that the falling space of the third part 033 can be increased, the risk of impact between the third part 033 and the shield 1 can be reduced, and it can be ensured that the display screen will not collide with the shield to cause screen failure.
[0134] As shown in FIG. 8, the protruding block 11 is close to the top of the cover 1 and is substantially in the middle position, i.e. the recess 12 can be formed on both sides of the protruding block 11. There is a gap between the protruding block 11 and the bottom of the cover 1, which can be understood as the connection between the cover 1 and the main shaft 201.
[0135] In this way, the recess 12 in the example of FIG. 8 can be divided into a first area 121 on one side of the protruding block 11, a second area 122 on the other side of the protruding block 11, and a third area 123 between the protruding block 11 and the bottom of the cover 1.
[0136] The first area 121, the second area 122 and the third area 123 in FIG. 8 are only an exemplary division, which can be appropriately reduced or increased on the basis of the range.
[0137] As shown in FIG. 9, the third part 033 in the water drop structure can include a first arc segment 033A connected with the first part 031, a second arc segment 033B connected with the second part 032, and an intermediate arc segment 033C connected between the first arc segment 033A and the second arc segment 033B.
[0138] In the closed state, the display screen 033, in combination with FIGS. 8 and 9, the first area 121 faces at least a part of the first arc segment 033A, and the projection of the first arc segment 033A in the direction of the first side is at least partially located in the first area 121; the second area 122 faces at least a part of the second arc segment 033B, and the projection of the second arc segment 033B in the direction of the first side is at least partially located in the second area 122; the third area 123 faces at least a part of the intermediate arc segment 033C, and the projection of the intermediate arc segment 033C in the direction of the first side is at least partially located in the third area 123.
[0139] When the electronic device in the closed state falls, the first area 121 can be used to accommodate at least a part of the first arc segment 033A offset towards the first side, the second area 122 can be used to accommodate at least a part of the second arc segment 033B offset towards the first side, and the third area 123 can be used to accommodate at least a part of the intermediate arc segment 033C offset towards the first side.
[0140] For example, when the electronic device in the closed state falls along the direction shown in FIG. 5, each arc segment of the third part 033 will offset towards the respective corresponding recess area, and the corresponding arc segment is accommodated by different recess areas, which reduces the possibility of each arc segment being hit and improves the drop reliability of the entire bending part.
[0141] The avoiding recess 12 in the example of FIG. 8 can also accommodate the display screen in the flattened state. For example, as shown in FIG. 10, which shows the display screen 03 in the flattened state and the position of the cover 1, and shows the main shaft 021 and part of the structure of the display screen 03. As shown in FIG. 10, the display screen 03 is in the flattened state, the side of the recess 12 facing the display screen 03 has a spacing between the side of the display screen 03 and the recess 12, and the recess 12 is used to accommodate part of the display screen 03 in the flattened state offset towards the first side. The electronic device is in the flattened state, and the projection of the display screen 03 towards the cover is located between the convex block 11 and the main shaft 021.
[0142] In some examples, the display screen is in the flattened state, and the display screen includes a flattened part located on one side of the hinge structure, and the orthographic projection of the flattened part on the first side is located in the recess.
[0143] When the electronic device in the flattened state falls in the direction shown in FIG. 5, the flattened part of the display screen located on one side of the hinge structure has a large falling amount, and the recess 12 provided on the cover 1 can increase the falling buffer space of the flattened part located on one side of the hinge structure, and reduce the risk of impact between the flattened part and the cover 1.
[0144] As shown in FIGS. 8-10, the recess 12 formed on the cover 1 can not only accommodate the bent part of the display screen in the closed state, but also accommodate part of the display screen in the flattened state.
[0145] In the examples shown in the present application, as described above in FIGS. 8-10, the recess 12 is formed on the side of the cover 1 to increase the spacing between the display screen 03 and the cover 1, rather than moving the cover as a whole, so that the spacing between the display screen 03 and the cover 1 is not increased, and the high-precision requirement of small gap between the cover and the display screen is met.
[0146] FIG. 11 shows another avoiding structure according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIG. 11, a convex block 11 is provided on the first side of the cover 1 facing the display screen, and the area recessed relative to the convex block 11 on the first side forms a recess 12.
[0147] In combination with the example of FIG. 8 described above and the example of FIG. 11, the bottom of the convex block 11 in the example of FIG. 11 is closer to the bottom of the cover 1 (which is the connection between the cover 1 and the main shaft 021) than the bottom of the convex block 11 in the example of FIG. 8.
[0148] In addition, the shapes of the convex blocks 11 in the two examples are different. In FIG. 11, the outer edge of the convex block 11 is arc-shaped, and the spacing between the outer edge of the convex block 11 and the bottom of the cover 1 gradually increases along the direction from the bottom end of the arc-shaped edge to the two sides.
[0149] The protruding block 11 disposed on the shield 1 can also divide the recess 12 into a first region 121 on one side of the protruding block 11, a second region 122 on the other side of the protruding block 11, and a third region 123 between the protruding block 11 and the bottom of the shield 1.
[0150] As shown in FIG. 12, which illustrates an exploded view of the position relationship between the shield 1 shown in FIG. 11 and the display screen 03 in a closed state. The third portion 033 of the display screen in the closed state includes a first arc segment 033A, a second arc segment 033B, and an intermediate arc segment 033C connected between the first arc segment 033A and the second arc segment 033B.
[0151] As shown in FIG. 12, the first region 121 faces at least a portion of the first arc segment 033A, and the projection of the first arc segment 033A in the direction of the first side is at least partially within the first region 121; the second region 122 faces at least a portion of the second arc segment 033B, and the projection of the second arc segment 033B in the direction of the first side is at least partially within the second region 122; the third region 123 faces at least a portion of the intermediate arc segment 033C, and the projection of the intermediate arc segment 033C in the direction of the first side is at least partially within the third region 123.
[0152] When the electronic device in the closed state falls, the first region 121 can be used to accommodate at least a portion of the first arc segment 033A that is offset towards the first side, the second region 122 can be used to accommodate at least a portion of the second arc segment 033B that is offset towards the first side, and the third region 123 can be used to accommodate at least a portion of the intermediate arc segment 033C that is offset towards the first side. In some falling scenarios, such as the falling scenario described above in FIG. 5, each arc segment of the third portion 033 will be offset towards the respective corresponding recess region, and the corresponding arc segment will be accommodated by the different recess region, reducing the likelihood of each arc segment being impacted and improving the falling reliability of the entire bending portion.
[0153] FIG. 13 illustrates an exploded view of the position relationship between the shield 1 shown in FIG. 11 and the display screen 03 in a flattened state. When the display screen 03 is in the flattened state, the projection of the portion of the display screen opposite the shield 1 and in the flattened state in the direction of the first side is at least partially within the recess 12.
[0154] In some embodiments, the first area 121 and the second area 122 are located in the recessed area below the protruding block 11, opposite the shield 1 and at least partially in the projection of the display screen portion on the first side.
[0155] For example, as shown in FIG. 15, which illustrates the position relationship between the first area 121 and the second area 122, and the first arc-shaped segment 033A and the second arc-shaped segment 033B when the display screen is in the closed state. Because the distance between the outer edge of the protruding block 11 and the bottom of the shield 1 gradually increases along the direction from the bottom end of the arc to the two sides, the outer contour of the first area 121 that accommodates the first arc-shaped segment 033A has an arc-shaped structure that matches the shape of the first arc-shaped segment 033A, and the outer contour of the second area 122 that accommodates the second arc-shaped segment 033B also has an arc-shaped structure that matches the shape of the second arc-shaped segment 033B, effectively reducing the probability of collision between the display screen and the protruding block 11 when the display screen falls in the closed state.
[0156] FIGS. 16 and 17 are another avoidance structure according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in FIGS. 16 and 17, the detail view of FIG. 17, a protruding block 11 is arranged on the first side of the shield 1 facing the display screen, and the protruding block 11 is arranged around the outer edge of the shield 1, and the protruding block 11 arranged around encloses the recessed portion 12.
[0157] As shown in FIGS. 18 and 19, which are exploded views of the position relationship between the shield 1 shown in FIG. 16 and the display screen 03 in the closed state. When the display screen 03 is in the closed state, at least part of the projection of the third portion 033 on the shield 1 is located in the recessed portion 12, which is used to accommodate at least part of the third portion 033 that is offset towards the shield.
[0158] In some falling scenarios, for example, as shown in FIGS. 20 and 21, when falling along the direction of the black arrow in FIG. 20, i.e., when the corner of the side of the foldable electronic device away from the hinge structure 02 lands, or when falling along the direction of the black arrow in FIG. 21, i.e., when the corner of the side of the foldable electronic device having the hinge structure 02 lands, as shown in FIG. 22, the display screen 03 appears to be tilted relative to the hinge structure, then the larger recessed portion 12 arranged on the shield 1, as shown in FIG. 19, can provide a larger accommodation space for the tilted bent portion 033.
[0159] In some implementable structures, as shown in FIG. 23, an elastic structure 2 can be arranged in the recess 12 of the shield 1, and the elastic structure 2 can play a buffering role. The elastic structure 2 is arranged on the surface of the recess 12 facing the side of the display screen.
[0160] When the display screen 03 is offset towards the shield 1, the elastic structure 2 can avoid the display screen 03 directly colliding with the shield 1 having high strength by the elasticity and buffering role of the elastic structure 2. Further, the display screen 03 can be protected by the elastic structure 2.
[0161] The material of the elastic structure 2 can be selected from various materials, such as at least one of foam, rubber, and a brush.
[0162] The elastic structure 2 can be adhered in the recess by an adhesive layer, or arranged in the recess by other connecting structures.
[0163] FIG. 24 is another avoiding structure according to an embodiment of the present application, and FIG. 25 is a partial structure of the top view of FIG. 24. As shown in FIG. 24 and FIG. 25, on the first side of the shield 1 facing the display screen, when the display screen is in the flat state, along the direction of the pivot structure pointing to the first middle frame, in the direction of the middle part of the shield 1 pointing to the edge, the first side is inclined towards the second side (as shown in the inclined surface of FIG. 25). In some embodiments, the thickness of the middle part of the shield 1 is greater than the thickness of the edge of the shield 1, or the distance between the middle part of the shield 1 and the side of the display screen is less than the distance between the edge of the shield 1 and the side of the display screen, and the edge of the shield 1 is farther away from the side of the display screen than the middle part. For example, when the display screen 03 is in the closed state, a greater falling space can be provided for the bending part of the display screen.
[0164] In FIG. 25, the dashed line in FIG. 25 shows the position of the first side when it is not inclined.
[0165] FIG. 26 exemplarily shows the positional relationship between the shield 1 and the display screen 03. Due to the inclined surface design of the first side of the shield 1 near the edge, as shown in FIG. 26, the closer to the edge of the shield 1, the greater the gap d between the side of the display screen 03 and the shield 1.
[0166] For example, when the display screen 03 is in the closed state as shown in FIG. 27, the first arc segment 033A and the second arc segment 033B of the bending part face the corresponding inclined surfaces. Due to the large gap between the inclined surface and the arc segment, the arc segment has a large falling buffering space, which weakens the risk of collision between the arc segment and the shield.
[0167] Returning to FIG. 24, the top surface of the shielding piece 1 is inclined near the edge, and the inclination is directed towards the connection between the shielding piece 1 and the main shaft 201.
[0168] FIG. 24 shows that the top surface of the shielding piece 1 is inclined, and when the first middle frame and the second middle frame rotate relative to the rotation shaft structure, the inclination can provide a space for the rotating first middle frame and the second middle frame, thereby ensuring smooth rotation of the first middle frame and the second middle frame.
[0169] In the above examples, some examples are provided by arranging a protruding block on the first side of the shielding piece 1 facing the display screen, forming a recess on the first side by the protruding block, and accommodating the offset display screen by the recess. Another example is provided by arc cutting the edge of the first side to form an inclined surface, increasing the distance between the display screen and the shielding piece by the inclined surface, and accommodating the offset display screen.
[0170] In some other examples, the inclined surface can also be arranged on the shielding piece 1 with the protruding block. For example, in FIG. 28, when the first side of the shielding piece 1 has the protruding block 11, the first side can be inclined towards the second side in the middle of the first side directed towards the edge to form an inclined surface.
[0171] In this way, the distance between the display screen 03 and the shielding piece 1 can be further increased, the falling buffer space of the display screen can be further increased, and the falling reliability of the display screen can be improved.
[0172] FIG. 29 is another shielding piece structure provided by the embodiment of the present application, FIG. 30 is a sectional view along A-A of FIG. 29, and FIG. 31 is a sectional view along B-B of FIG. 29.
[0173] As shown in FIG. 29, this example is an improvement on the bottom of the shielding piece 1 (the position of the dashed box is an example). The A-A cutting position shown in FIG. 30 is closer to the edge of the shielding piece 1 than the B-B cutting position shown in FIG. 31, that is, the B-B cutting position shown in FIG. 31 is close to the middle of the shielding piece 1, and the A-A cutting position shown in FIG. 30 is close to the edge of the shielding piece 1. The A-A cutting surface and the B-B cutting surface are along a first direction, which can be understood as the direction of the display screen in the unfolded state and the direction of the rotation shaft structure directed towards the first middle frame.
[0174] In combination with FIG. 29, FIG. 30 and FIG. 31, in this example, along the first direction, in the direction of the edge of the shielding piece directed towards the middle, the first side of the shielding piece is inclined towards the second side in the part close to the bottom of the shielding piece.
[0175] Alternatively, it can be understood that, as shown in FIG. 30, the distance between the first side and the second side of the shielding member 1 is S1 at a position close to the edge of the shielding member 1, and as shown in FIG. 31, the distance between the first side and the second side of the shielding member 1 is S2 at a position close to the middle of the shielding member 1, and S1 is greater than S2. That is, in the first direction, from the edge to the middle of the shielding member, the thickness of the bottom portion of the shielding member 1 gradually decreases, where the thickness is the size between the first side and the second side.
[0176] In some use scenarios, for example, when the display screen is in a closed state, the shielding member 1 falls towards the ground and is impacted to tilt towards the display screen, and the thicker edge of the shielding member 1 can reduce the amount of deviation of the shielding member 1 towards the display screen, so as to reduce the risk of collision between the display screen and the shielding member causing the display screen to fail.
[0177] In addition, the thicker edge of the shielding member 1 can increase the mechanical impact resistance of the entire shielding member and reduce the risk of the shielding member breaking when falling.
[0178] In addition, in the example of the present application, the gradually decreasing thickness structure is located at the bottom of the shielding member 1, and the area at the bottom of the shielding member 1 can accommodate the bent display screen and provide space for the bent display screen.
[0179] As shown in FIG. 29, in this example, the first side of the shielding member 1 has a protruding block 11 protruding towards the display screen at a position close to the middle of the top of the shielding member 1. In other examples, the first side of the shielding member 1 can not be provided with a protruding block.
[0180] As shown in FIG. 29, the bottom of the shielding member 1 has an area (such as the Q area in FIG. 29) with the smallest thickness (the size between the first side and the second side), and the protruding block 11 on the shielding member 1 can be arranged opposite to the Q area with the smallest thickness.
[0181] As shown in FIG. 32 and FIG. 33, which is an enlarged view of B in FIG. 32, in order to accommodate the shielding member 1, a first slot 011D can be formed on the first side frame 011B of the first middle frame 011, and the first slot 011D is used to accommodate at least part of the shielding member 1.
[0182] In some examples, a second slot can be formed on the second side frame 012B of the second middle frame 012, and the first slot and the second slot can cooperate to accommodate the shielding member 1.
[0183] As shown in FIG. 34, the first side frame 011B of the first middle frame 011 has a first surface forming a first groove 011D, which can be the A1 surface in FIG. 34. The second side frame 012B of the second middle frame 012 has a second surface forming a second groove 012D, which can be the A2 surface in FIG. 34. When the foldable display terminal 100 is in the unfolded state, the A1 surface faces the A2 surface, and at least part of the shield 1 is arranged in the space between the A1 surface and the A2 surface.
[0184] As shown in FIG. 35, which exemplarily shows a structure diagram of a shield 1 having opposite B1 and B2 surfaces and a B3 surface connected between the B1 and B2 surfaces, the B3 surface can also be referred to as the top surface of the shield 1.
[0185] As shown in FIG. 36 and FIG. 37, which shows an enlarged view of C in FIG. 36. When the foldable electronic device 100 is in the unfolded state, the A1 surface faces the B1 surface, and there is a gap between the A1 surface and the B1 surface; the A2 surface faces the B2 surface, and there is a gap between the A2 surface and the B2 surface.
[0186] In some examples, when the display screen is in the unfolded state, the gap between the A1 surface and the B1 surface is smaller than the gap between the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012, and the gap between the A2 surface and the B2 surface is smaller than the gap between the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012.
[0187] In this way, when the foldable electronic device 100 in the unfolded state falls along the direction (black arrow direction) in which the first middle frame 011 points to the second middle frame 012 as shown in FIG. 33, the A1 surface of the first side frame 011B can abut against and support the B1 surface of the shield 1, and the A2 surface of the second side frame 012B can abut against and support the B2 surface of the shield 1, thereby reducing the large extrusion force generated by the mutual abutment of the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012, and protecting the internal structure of the entire machine from further extrusion impact.
[0188] In some scenarios, the foldable electronic device can fall in the manner shown in FIG. 38, that is, when the foldable electronic device is in the closed state, the hinge structure 02 faces the ground. In order to avoid damage to the display screen or other internal devices in this falling scenario, as shown in FIG. 39 and FIG. 40, which is a structure diagram of the foldable electronic device in the closed state, and FIG. 40 is an enlarged view of D in FIG. 39, which shows the positional relationship between the first side frame 011B of the first middle frame 011 and the shield 1. When the foldable electronic device is in the closed state, the A1 surface of the first side frame 011B faces the B3 surface of the shield 1, and there is a gap between the A1 surface and the B3 surface; the A2 surface of the second side frame 012B faces the B3 surface of the shield 1, and there is a gap between the A2 surface and the B3 surface (not shown in the figure).
[0189] As shown in FIG. 40, the orthographic projection of the A1 surface on the B3 surface overlaps at least part of the B3 surface, and, as can be seen from FIG. 40, the orthographic projection of the A2 surface on the B3 surface overlaps at least part of the B3 surface. In this way, when the foldable electronic device falls to the ground in the scenario shown in FIGS. 38 and 39 (indicated by the black arrow), the A1 surface and the A2 surface can both abut against the B3 surface of the shielding piece 1, thereby reducing the amount of falling of the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012, protecting the display screen 03 from being compressed, protecting the display screen, and protecting the internal structure of the device from being squeezed.
[0190] FIG. 41 is an exploded structural schematic diagram of the main shaft 021, the shielding piece 1, and the display screen 03 of an example of the present application, and FIG. 42 is an enlarged view of E in FIG. 41. In this example, the main shaft 021 is located on the non-display side of the display screen 03, and the main shaft 021 includes a first surface facing the non-display side of the display screen 03 and a second surface opposite the first surface. The non-display side of the display screen is the side opposite the display side. The region of the first surface close to the shielding piece is an inclined surface, which is inclined toward the second surface in the direction from the middle of the main shaft to the end of the main shaft. There is a gap between the inclined surface and the non-display side of the display screen. In the direction in which the display screen points toward the main shaft, the projection of the display screen on the first surface is at least partially located on the inclined surface.
[0191] Alternatively, in some examples, the surface of the main shaft 021 for connecting the shielding piece 1 can be referred to as a connecting surface, which faces the non-display side of the display screen, and the surface of the main shaft 021 opposite the connecting surface can be referred to as a back surface. The region of the connecting surface close to the shielding piece 1 is an inclined surface, which is inclined toward the back surface in the direction from the middle of the main shaft 201 to the end of the main shaft.
[0192] In the unfolded state or the closed state, the inclined surface faces the display screen 03, and there is a gap between the inclined surface and the display screen, which is used to accommodate the display screen 03 that is offset toward the inclined surface.
[0193] It can also be understood that the gap between the display screen 03 and the main shaft 021 becomes larger and larger in the direction from the middle of the main shaft 201 to the end of the main shaft.
[0194] When the foldable electronic device in the unfolded state or the closed state falls to the ground in the direction of the black arrow shown in FIG. 39, the display screen 03 can be offset toward the main shaft 021. Since the end of the main shaft 021 is designed as an inclined surface, the part of the display screen 03 close to the shielding piece 1 has a large gap with the main shaft 021. In this way, the falling display screen 03 has a large falling buffer space, the degree of squeezing impact of the falling display screen 03 on the main shaft 021 is weakened, the risk of squeezing failure of the display screen is alleviated, and the display screen is protected.
[0195] In some examples, as shown in FIG. 42, the inclination angle a of the inclined surface on the main shaft 021 can be 3° to 45°. For example, a = 10°, or a = 20°.
[0196] In some implementable structures, the inclined surface shown in FIG. 42 can be a plane.
[0197] In order to increase the drop buffer space of the display screen and improve the drop reliability of the display screen, the present application also provides an implementable structure, as shown in FIG. 43. In this example, the first surface (or the connecting surface connected with the shielding piece 1) of the main shaft 021 facing the non-display surface of the display screen 03 has a recessed cavity near the shielding piece and near the middle of the shielding piece 1. There is a gap between the non-display surface of the display screen and the bottom surface of the recessed cavity.
[0198] For example, as shown in FIG. 44, the display screen 03 is in a closed state, and the display screen 03 includes a bending part facing the shielding piece. Along the thickness direction (H direction of FIG. 44) of the main shaft, the projection of the bending part on the first surface is at least partially located in the recessed cavity.
[0199] For another example, as shown in FIG. 45, the display screen 03 is in a flattened state, and the display screen includes a flattened part facing the shielding piece. Along the thickness direction (H direction of FIG. 45) of the main shaft, the projection of the flattened part on the first surface is at least partially located in the recessed cavity.
[0200] As shown in FIGS. 44 and 45, the recessed cavity can provide more accommodation space for the display screen when the display screen is in a closed state or in a flattened state. For example, when the main shaft falls towards the ground, the recessed cavity can provide a drop space for the display screen, protect the display screen, and weaken the risk of impact between the display screen and the main shaft.
[0201] The thickness direction of the main shaft in the example of the present application, as shown in FIGS. 44 and 45, can be understood as the direction perpendicular to the surface where the display screen is located when the display screen is in a flattened state.
[0202] Returning to FIG. 43, in this example, the thickness of the bottom part of the shielding piece 1 can be reduced from the edge to the middle of the shielding piece. The bottom part of the shielding piece 1 has a region (such as the Q region of FIG. 43) with the smallest thickness (the size from the first side surface to the second side surface), and the position of the recessed cavity can correspond to the position of the Q region with the smallest thickness.
[0203] Alternatively, in some examples, as shown in FIG. 43, the first side surface of the shielding piece 1 has a protruding block 11 protruding towards the display screen near the middle of the top of the shielding piece 1.
[0204] As shown in FIG. 43, the protruding block on the shielding piece 1 can be arranged opposite to the Q region with the smallest thickness. The position of the recessed cavity can correspond to the position of the Q region with the smallest thickness.
[0205] In some implementable processes, the shielding piece 1 structure shown in FIG. 43 can be integrally formed by using an injection molding process.
[0206] In the foldable electronic device 100 of the present application example, as shown in FIG. 46, which shows an exploded view of the foldable electronic device, in addition to including the first middle frame 011, the second middle frame 012, the display screen 03, and the pivot structure, the foldable electronic device can further include a decorative frame 3, which is arranged at the outer edge of the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012, and the edge of the display screen 03 is fixed between the middle frame and the decorative frame 3.
[0207] When the foldable electronic device in the unfolded state falls along the direction of the black arrow shown in FIG. 46, i.e., the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 are directed towards the ground, the unfolded display screen 03 can appear to be arched, and in some scenarios, the arched display screen 03 can collide with the decorative frame 3, which can cause the display screen 03 to fail.
[0208] In order to avoid extrusion between the arched display screen 03 and the decorative frame 3, or between the display screen 03 and the middle frame, as shown in FIG. 47 and FIG. 48, a groove 4 can be formed on at least one of the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012, and close to the position of the pivot structure 02, the projection of the display screen 03 on the first middle frame is located in the groove 4 of the first middle frame, and the projection of the display screen 03 on the second middle frame is located in the groove 4 of the second middle frame, and the groove 4 is used to accommodate the deformed display screen 03.
[0209] In some examples, the groove 4 can not pass through the middle frame in the thickness direction of the middle frame; in other examples, the groove 4 can pass through the middle frame.
[0210] In the examples of FIG. 47 and FIG. 48, the first middle frame 011 and the second middle frame 012 are locally face-reduced close to the position of the pivot structure 02, and the Z-direction space (space in the thickness direction of the electronic device) is increased, so that a part of the arched display screen can be redundantly accommodated in the groove 4 of the middle frame, greatly reducing the risk of screen failure due to collision with the decorative frame.
[0211] When the foldable electronic device falls along the direction of FIG. 46, the part of the display screen 03 close to the end of the pivot structure 02 has a larger arching deformation than other parts, and thus, as shown in FIG. 47 and FIG. 48, the groove 4 formed on the middle frame is arranged close to the end of the pivot structure 02.
[0212] In the description of the present specification, specific features, structures, materials or characteristics can be combined in any one or more embodiments or examples in a suitable manner.
[0213] The above merely provides the specific implementation of the present application, but the protection scope of the present application is not limited to this. Any person skilled in the art can easily think of the changes or replacements within the technical range disclosed by the present application, which should be covered in the protection scope of the present application. Therefore, the protection scope of the present application should be subject to the protection scope of the claims.
