Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] Railing device for a scaffold for use as a leading railing

[0003] The invention relates to a railing device for a scaffold for use as a leading railing according to the independent claim.

[0004] When erecting multi-level scaffolds, it is crucial that the construction of higher scaffold levels, which are usually erected from the already constructed and lower scaffold levels, is accompanied by the greatest possible safety for the scaffolder. To achieve this, it is important to provide scaffold components that can be securely connected with a few simple steps.

[0005] Furthermore, the use of advanced guardrails has proven effective in ensuring safe scaffolding erection. This allows for the installation of a side guardrail with a guardrail post for a scaffold level to be erected while the scaffolder is still standing on the lower, already erected scaffold level. It is important for advanced guardrails that they can be easily and quickly mounted to the already erected vertical posts with as few manual steps as possible, and that they allow for the quick and safe installation of additional vertical posts for the new scaffold level on the existing guardrails without having to change the attachment of these guardrails again.

[0006] Scaffolding with vertical uprights that include horizontal securing pins for attaching a railing device is widespread in the state of the art. For this purpose, holes are arranged on the railing device, for example on its railing uprights, through which holes the securing pin must be inserted in order to attach the railing device to the vertical upright. Attaching the railing device to the vertical upright is therefore not possible with a simple movement, since inserting the securing pin of the vertical upright into the hole in the railing device requires precise relative positioning of the vertical upright and the railing device in all directions in the plane perpendicular to the insertion direction. A scaffolding erector finds it difficult to achieve this precise positioning because he or she must also constantly prevent the heavy vertical upright from tipping or falling. This is detrimental to both quick and safe erection of the scaffolding.

[0007] It is the object of the present invention to provide a railing device for a scaffold which overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art and, in particular, enables a safe and simple assembly of the scaffold by using advantageously designed fastening devices.

[0008] The invention comprises a railing device for a scaffold with scaffolding levels with vertical posts arranged at a distance in the width direction, cross bars connected to the vertical posts in the transverse direction, and decking connected to the cross bars in the width direction, wherein the railing device is designed as a so-called leading railing device which is mounted from an existing lower scaffolding level for an upper scaffolding level to be mounted above it and which then forms side protection for the upper scaffolding level, which has at least one first railing beam running horizontally in the width direction, a right railing beam arranged at a first end section of the first railing beam, and a left railing beam arranged at a second end section of the first railing beam. The right railing post has, in an upper end section, a right fastening device for detachable connection to a vertical post, and the left railing post has, in an upper end section, a left fastening device for detachable connection to a vertical post. The right fastening device and the left fastening device each comprise a horizontal projection unit and a vertical projection unit, wherein the horizontal projection unit has a first stop with a first inner contour that essentially corresponds to part of an outer contour of the vertical post, and wherein the vertical projection unit has a second stop with a second inner contour that is curved in the height direction in such a way that, in an assembled state, it can be arranged on a securing pin arranged on the vertical post, at least in some areas, in a form-fitting manner.

[0009] According to a preferred aspect, the second inner contour is U-shaped in the height direction.

[0010] A U-shaped curve in the vertical direction means that the legs of the U-shape run essentially along the vertical direction. The legs of the U-shape can be spaced apart from each other essentially along the width direction.

[0011] As a result, in the arranged state of the second inner contour on a securing pin arranged on the vertical post, a relative movement of the second inner contour and the securing pin that is essentially at a right angle to the vertical direction (directed against the legs of the U-shape) can be blocked.

[0012] According to a further preferred aspect, the second inner contour is designed to be open upwards in the height direction.

[0013] This allows the locking pin to be inserted unhindered from above into the second inner contour.

[0014] According to a particularly preferred aspect, the first stop is designed such that the first inner contour, in a mounted state on the vertical post, extends along the circumference between 25% and 75% of the outer contour of the vertical post.

[0015] This allows the first stop to block the movement of the vertical post transversely to the outer contour along a section that is surrounded by the first inner contour.

[0016] According to an advantageous aspect, the first stop is designed to be round in sections. The round design of the first stop is particularly suitable for enabling a partially form-fitting arrangement on a partially round outer contour of a vertical post.

[0017] According to a further advantageous aspect, the first stop is square.

[0018] The sectionally angular design of the first stop is particularly suitable for enabling a sectionally positive-locking arrangement to a sectionally angular outer contour of a vertical post.

[0019] According to a particularly advantageous aspect, the horizontal projection unit and the vertical projection unit are arranged at right angles to each other.

[0020] In this case, the horizontal projection unit can be extended substantially in a plane which is spanned between the transverse direction and the width direction, and the vertical projection unit can be extended substantially in a plane which is spanned between the height direction and the width direction in order to be able to absorb forces which lie in the respective plane.

[0021] According to a preferred aspect, the horizontal projection unit is designed as a flat profile whose surface normal is directed along the height direction and the vertical projection unit is designed as a flat profile whose surface normal is directed along the transverse direction.

[0022] The horizontal projection unit and the vertical projection unit can be designed as flat steel.

[0023] According to a further preferred aspect, the horizontal projection unit and the vertical projection unit are integrally connected to one another.

[0024] This increases the rigidity of the fastening device. The integral connection can be achieved by forming the horizontal projection unit and the vertical projection unit as a single piece. According to a particularly preferred aspect, the right fastening device is arranged on the right railing post and the left fastening device is arranged on the left railing post such that the right fastening device and the left fastening device are spaced apart by a distance D along the vertical direction.

[0025] As a result, when the railing device is mounted, its right fastening device always meets the left fastening device of an adjacent railing device and its left fastening device always meets the right fastening device of an adjacent railing device.

[0026] This alternating arrangement of pairs of fastening devices allows for the attachment of a vertical post between them at two different heights of the vertical post. The distance D can correspond to between 10% and 50% of the length of a railing post.

[0027] According to an advantageous aspect, the right-hand railing post has a first connection device in its lower end section and a second connection device arranged at a distance above, each for detachable connection to a vertical post of a scaffold. The left-hand railing post has a third connection device in its lower end section and a fourth connection device arranged at a distance above the third connection device, each for detachable connection to a vertical post of a scaffold.

[0028] The railing device can be mounted on the scaffolding level below using the first connection device, second connection device, third connection device and fourth connection device.

[0029] According to a further advantageous aspect, the second connection device and the fourth connection device are suspended from both sides in the width direction on a vertical post in the assembled state in an existing component of the scaffolding, in particular a crossbar, and surround the vertical post in a form-fitting manner in some regions, so that a relative movement between the vertical post and the second and fourth connection device in the transverse direction and in the vertical height direction downwards is blocked. In this case, the first connection device, when mounted on the vertical post, surrounds it in a form-fitting manner at least in some regions, so that a relative movement between the first connection device and the vertical post in the transverse direction and in a width direction is blocked, and is arranged below a component of the scaffolding, in particular a gusset plate, so that a displacement in the vertical height direction upwards is blocked. In the assembled state, the third connection device is arranged on the vertical post below an already connected first connection unit and surrounds the vertical post in a form-fitting manner, at least in some areas.

[0030] Thus, the railing device mounted on a lower scaffold level is secured in the width direction, transverse direction and height direction when several railing devices are mounted next to each other in the width direction, even if no vertical posts have yet been mounted above the lower scaffold level.

[0031] According to a particularly advantageous aspect, the right railing post and / or the left railing post comprise a joint.

[0032] This allows the railing device to be mounted in advance by unfolding the right railing post and / or the left railing post.

[0033] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments. In the following, the following are shown:

[0038] Scaffolding level with a railing device from Fig. 1 in an inclined intermediate assembly position; and

[0039] Fig. 6 schematic perspective view of a scaffold with several railing devices from Fig. 1.

[0040] Fig. 1 shows a schematic perspective view of a railing device 10 for a scaffold 50.

[0041] The railing device 10 has a first railing post 12 extending horizontally in the width direction B and a second railing post 12a. A right railing post 16 is arranged at a first end section of the first railing post 12, and a left railing post 18 is arranged at a second end section of the first railing post 12. The right railing post 16 has a right fastening device 45 in an upper end section for releasably connecting to a vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4), and the left railing post 18 has a left fastening device 47 in an upper end section for releasably connecting to a vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4).

[0042] The right fastening device 45 and the left fastening device 47 each have a horizontal projection unit 80 and a vertical projection unit 81.

[0043] The right fastening device 45 is arranged on the right railing post 16, and the left fastening device 47 is arranged on the left railing post 18, such that the right fastening device 45 and the left fastening device 47 are spaced apart by a distance D along the height direction H. As a result, in the assembled state of the railing device 10, its right fastening device 45 always meets the left fastening device 47 of an adjacent railing device 10, and its left fastening device 47 always meets the right fastening device 45 of an adjacent railing device 10. This alternating arrangement of pairs of fastening devices 47 enables the attachment of a vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4) between them at two different height sections. In the case shown, the distance D corresponds to 25% of the length of the railing post 16.

[0044] The railing device 10 is designed as a so-called leading railing device. This means that the railing device 10 is mounted from an existing lower scaffolding level for an upper scaffolding level to be mounted above it. The railing device 10 then forms side protection for the upper scaffolding level. For this purpose, the right railing post 16 has a first connection device 20 in its lower end section and a second connection device 22 arranged at a distance above it. These are each designed for detachable connection to a vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 5). The left railing post 18 has a third connection device 24 in its lower end section and a fourth connection device 26 arranged at a distance above the third connection device 24. These are each designed for detachable connection to a vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 5).The railing device 10 can be mounted on the scaffolding level below by means of the first connection device 20, second connection device 22, third connection device 24 and fourth connection device 26.

[0045] Fig. 2 shows a schematic detailed perspective of a left fastening device 47 from Fig. 1. The fastening device 47 is arranged at the level of the first railing post 12 on the upper end section of the left railing post 18.

[0046] The left fastening device 47 has a horizontal projection unit 80 and a vertical projection unit 81. The horizontal projection unit 80 and the vertical projection unit 81 are arranged at right angles to each other.

[0047] The horizontal projection unit 80 is essentially extended in a plane spanned between the transverse direction Q and the width direction B. The vertical projection unit 81 is essentially extended in a plane spanned between the height direction H and the width direction B. As a result, the horizontal projection unit 80 and the vertical projection unit 81 can each absorb the forces lying in the respective plane particularly well.

[0048] The horizontal projection unit 80 is designed as a flat steel whose surface normal is directed along the height direction H, and the vertical projection unit 81 is designed as a flat steel whose surface normal is directed along the transverse direction Q.

[0049] The horizontal projection unit 80 and the vertical projection unit 81 are integrally connected to each other in order to increase the rigidity of the fastening device 45.

[0050] The horizontal projection unit 80 has a first stop 801 with a first inner contour 802, which essentially corresponds to a part of an outer contour 582 (shown in Fig. 4) of a vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4). The first stop 801 is partially round.

[0051] The partially round design of the first stop 801 is particularly suitable for enabling a partially form-fitting arrangement on a partially round outer contour 582 (shown in Fig. 4) of the vertical stem 58 (shown in Fig. 4).

[0052] The vertical projection unit 81 has a second stop 811 with a second inner contour 812. The second inner contour 812 is configured in the height direction H such that, in an assembled state, it can be arranged on a securing pin 581 (shown in Fig. 4) arranged on the vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4), at least partially enclosing said securing pin.

[0053] The second inner contour 812 is U-shaped in the height direction H, so that the legs of the U-shape run essentially along the height direction H. The legs of the U-shape are spaced apart from one another essentially along the width direction B.

[0054] The second inner contour 812 is designed to be open upwards in the height direction H in order to allow unhindered insertion of a securing pin 581 (shown in Fig. 4) into the second inner contour 812 from above. Fig. 3 shows a schematic detailed perspective of a right fastening device 45 from Fig. 1. The fastening device 45 is arranged at a distance above the second railing post 12a on the upper end section of the right railing post 16.

[0055] The right fastening device 45 has a horizontal projection unit 80 and a vertical projection unit 81. The horizontal projection unit 80 and the vertical projection unit 81 are arranged at right angles to each other.

[0056] The horizontal projection unit 80 is essentially extended in a plane spanned between the transverse direction Q and the width direction B. The vertical projection unit 81 is essentially extended in a plane spanned between the height direction H and the width direction B. As a result, the horizontal projection unit 80 and the vertical projection unit 81 can each absorb the forces lying in the respective plane particularly well.

[0057] The horizontal projection unit 80 is designed as a flat steel whose surface normal is directed along the height direction H, and the vertical projection unit 81 is designed as a flat steel whose surface normal is directed along the transverse direction Q.

[0058] The horizontal projection unit 80 and the vertical projection unit 81 are integrally connected to each other in order to increase the rigidity of the fastening device 45.

[0059] The horizontal projection unit 80 has a first stop 801 with a first inner contour 802, which essentially corresponds to a part of an outer contour 582 (shown in Fig. 4) of a vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4). The first stop 801 is partially round.

[0060] The partially round design of the first stop 801 is particularly suitable for enabling a partially form-fitting arrangement on a partially round outer contour 582 (shown in Fig. 4) of the vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4). The vertical projection unit 81 has a second stop 811 with a second inner contour 812. The second inner contour 812 is designed in the height direction H in such a way that, in an assembled state, it can be arranged on a securing pin 581 (shown in Fig. 4) arranged on the vertical post 58 (shown in Fig. 4), at least partially enclosing said securing pin in a form-fitting manner.

[0061] The second inner contour 812 is U-shaped in the height direction H, so that the legs of the U-shape run essentially along the height direction H. The legs of the U-shape are spaced apart from one another essentially along the width direction B.

[0062] The second inner contour 812 is designed to be open upwards in the height direction H in order to allow an unhindered insertion of a securing pin 581 (shown in Fig. 4) into the second inner contour 812 from above.

[0063] Fig. 4 shows a schematic detailed perspective of two railing devices 10 from Fig. 1 and a vertical post 582 arranged between them in the assembled state.

[0064] The railing devices 10 each have a first railing post 12 and a second railing post 12a extending horizontally in the width direction B. A right railing post 16 is arranged at a first end section of the first railing post 12, and a left railing post 18 is arranged at a second end section of the first railing post 12. The right railing post 16 has a right

[0065] Fastening device 45 for detachable connection to a vertical post 58, and the left railing post 18 has a left fastening device 47 for detachable connection to a vertical post 58 in an upper end section.

[0066] The right fastening device 45 is arranged on the right railing post 16 and the left fastening device 47 is arranged on the left railing post 18 such that the right fastening device 45 and the left fastening device 47 are spaced apart by a distance D along the height direction H. As a result, when two railing devices 10 are assembled, the right fastening device 45 of one railing device 10 meets the left fastening device 47 of the adjacent railing device 10. This alternating arrangement of pairs of fastening devices 47 enables the fastening of a vertical post 58 between them at two different height sections.

[0067] The right fastening device 45 and the left fastening device 47 each have a horizontal projection unit 80 and a vertical projection unit 81 which are arranged at right angles to each other.

[0068] The horizontal projection unit 80 has a first stop 801 with a first inner contour 802, which essentially corresponds to a portion of an outer contour 582 of a vertical post 58. The first stop 801 is partially round. The partially round design of the first stop 801 is particularly suitable for enabling a partially form-fitting arrangement on the round outer contour 582 of the vertical post 58.

[0069] The first stop 801 is configured such that, in the mounted state shown on the vertical post 58, the first inner contour 802 extends along the circumference of 30% of the outer contour 582 of the vertical post 58. As a result, the first stop 801 can block the movement of the vertical post 58 transversely to the outer contour 582 along a section encompassed by the first inner contour 802.

[0070] The vertical projection unit 81 has a second stop 811 with a second inner contour 812. The second inner contour 812 is configured in the height direction H such that, in the assembled state shown, it is arranged in a form-fitting manner in some areas on the securing pin 581 arranged on the vertical post 58.

[0071] The second inner contour 812 is curved in a U-shape in the height direction H, so that the legs of the U-shape run essentially along the height direction H. The legs of the U-shape are spaced apart from one another essentially along the width direction B. As a result, when the second inner contour 812 is arranged on the securing pin 581 arranged on the vertical post 58, a relative movement of the second inner contour 812 and the securing pin 581, which is essentially at a right angle to the height direction H, directed against the legs of the LI shape and, in the case shown, runs along the width direction B, can be blocked.

[0072] The second inner contour 812 is designed to be open upwards in the height direction H in order to enable the securing pin 581 to be inserted unhindered from above into the second inner contour 812.

[0073] Fig. 5 shows a schematic perspective view of a part of a lower scaffolding level 54 with a railing device 10 from Fig. 1 in an inclined intermediate assembly position.

[0074] The railing device 10 is designed as a so-called leading railing device. This means that the railing device 10 is mounted from an existing lower scaffold level 54 for an upper scaffold level 52 (shown in Fig. 5) to be mounted above it. The railing device 10 then forms side protection for the upper scaffold level 52 (shown in Fig. 5). For this purpose, the right railing post 16 has a first connection device 20 in its lower end section and a second connection device 22 arranged at a distance above it. These are each designed for detachable connection to a vertical post 58. The left railing post 18 has a third connection device 24 in its lower end section and a fourth connection device 26 arranged at a distance above the third connection device 24. These are each designed for detachable connection to a vertical post 58.The railing device 10 can be mounted on the lower scaffolding level 54 by means of the first connection device 20, second connection device 22, third connection device 24 and fourth connection device 26.

[0075] Fig. 6 shows a schematic perspective view of a scaffold 50 with several railing devices 10 from Fig. 1.

[0076] The scaffold 50 has a lower scaffold level 54 and an upper scaffold level 54. The scaffold has vertical posts 58 arranged at a distance in the width direction B, crossbars 60 connected to the vertical posts 58 in the transverse direction Q, decks 66 connected to the crossbars 60 in the width direction B, and railing devices 10 from Fig. 1.

[0077] The railing devices 10 have a first railing post 12 extending horizontally in the width direction B, a right railing post 16 arranged at a first end section of the first railing post 12, and a left railing post 18 arranged at a second end section of the first railing post 12.

[0078] The right railing post 16 has a right fastening device 45 for detachable connection to a vertical post 58 in an upper end section, and the left railing post 18 has a left fastening device 47 for detachable connection to a vertical post 58 in an upper end section.

[0079] The railing devices 10 are designed as so-called leading railing devices, which are mounted from the lower scaffolding level 54 for the upper scaffolding level 52 to be mounted above it and which then form a side protection for the upper scaffolding level 52.

[0080] For this purpose, the right railing post 16 has a first connection device 20 in its lower end section and a second connection device 22 arranged at a distance above it. These are each designed for releasable connection to a vertical post 58. The left railing post 18 has a third connection device 24 in its lower end section and a fourth connection device 26 arranged at a distance above the third connection device 24. These are each designed for releasable connection to a vertical post 58.

[0081] The railing device 10 is mounted on the lower scaffolding level 54 by means of the first connection device 20, second connection device 22, third connection device 24 and fourth connection device 26.

[0082] The second connecting device 22 and the fourth connecting device 26 are suspended from both sides in the width direction B on a vertical post 58 in the assembled state in a cross bar 60 and enclose the vertical post 58 in a form-fitting manner in certain areas, so that a relative movement between the vertical post 58 and the second connecting device 22 or between the vertical post 58 and the fourth connecting device 26 in the transverse direction Q and in the vertical height direction H is blocked downwards.

[0083] In this case, the first connecting device 20, when mounted on the vertical post 58, engages around it in a form-fitting manner in some areas, so that a relative movement between the first connecting device 20 and the vertical post 58 in the transverse direction Q and in the width direction B is blocked.

[0084] The first connection device 20 is arranged below a gusset plate 64 so that upward displacement in the vertical height direction H is blocked.

[0085] The third connection device 24 in the mounted state is arranged on the vertical post 58 below an already connected first connection unit 20 and surrounds the vertical post 58 in a form-fitting manner in some areas.

[0086] Thus, the several railing devices 10 mounted next to each other in the width direction B on the lower scaffold level 54 are secured in the width direction B, transverse direction Q and height direction H.
