[0028] Hereinafter, an example of an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0029] 1 is a diagram showing an example of a communication system to which an information processing device according to an embodiment of the present invention is applied. The communication system 1 shown in FIG. 1 includes an imaging device 10, an information terminal 20, and a server 30.

[0030] The imaging device 10 is, for example, a digital camera. The imaging device 10 is capable of capturing still images and videos. The imaging device 10 is capable of wireless communication with the information terminal 20. The imaging device 10 transmits information about the imaging device, including, for example, image data captured by the imaging device 10, to the information terminal 20 via wireless communication. The imaging device 10 is capable of wireless communication with the information terminal 20, for example, via Wi-Fi 5 (registered trademark), Wi-Fi 6 (registered trademark), etc. Note that the communication between the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 may be wired communication.

[0031] The information terminal 20 is an example of an "information processing device" of the present invention. The information terminal 20 is, for example, a smartphone or a tablet terminal. The information terminal 20 is capable of wireless communication with the imaging device 10. The information terminal 20 transmits, for example, a control signal related to reception of image data captured by the imaging device 10 to the imaging device 10 via wireless communication. The information terminal 20 is also connectable to the server 30 via a network 2. The information terminal 20 is connectable to the network 2 via, for example, wired LAN (Local Area Network) communication. The information terminal 20 may also be connectable to the network 2 via, for example, wireless LAN communication, mobile communication, or the like. The network 2 is, for example, a WAN (Wide Area Network) such as the Internet. The information terminal 20 transmits, for example, a control signal related to reception of image data captured by the imaging device 10 to the server 30 via the network 2.

[0032] The server 30 is an example of a "data storage device" of the present invention. The server 30 may be, for example, a cloud server. The server 30 stores information relating to the reception of image data captured by the imaging device 10, for example. The server 30 is connectable to the network 2. In response to a request from the information terminal 20 connected to the network 2, the server 30 transmits information relating to the reception of image data captured by the imaging device 10, for example, to the information terminal 20.

[0033] <Hardware Configuration of Imaging Device 10> Fig. 2 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the imaging device 10. As shown in Fig. 2, the imaging device 10 includes a processor 11, a memory 12, a communication interface 13, a user interface 14, and an imaging module 15. The processor 11, the memory 12, the communication interface 13, the user interface 14, and the imaging module 15 are connected by, for example, a bus 19.

[0034] The processor 11 is a circuit that performs signal processing, and is, for example, a CPU that controls the entire imaging device 10. The processor 11 may be realized by other digital circuits such as an FPGA or a DSP (Digital Signal Processor). The processor 11 may also be realized by combining multiple digital circuits.

[0035] The memory 12 includes, for example, a main memory and an auxiliary memory. The main memory is, for example, a RAM (Random Access Memory). The main memory is used as a work area for the processor 11. The auxiliary memory is, for example, a non-volatile memory such as a magnetic disk or flash memory. Various programs that operate the imaging device 10 are stored in the auxiliary memory. The programs stored in the auxiliary memory are loaded into the main memory and executed by the processor 11. The auxiliary memory may also include portable memory that is removable from the imaging device 10. Examples of portable memory include memory cards such as a USB (Universal Serial Bus) flash drive or an SD (Secure Digital) memory card, and external hard disk drives.

[0036] The communication interface 13 is a communication interface for communicating with an external device (e.g., an information terminal 20) of the imaging device 10. The communication interface 13 includes at least one of a wired communication interface for communicating via a wire and a wireless communication interface for communicating wirelessly. The communication interface 13 is controlled by the processor 11.

[0037] The user interface 14 includes, for example, an input device that accepts operation input from the user and an output device that outputs information to the user. The input device can be realized by, for example, a key operation unit or a remote control. The output device can be realized by, for example, a display or a speaker. In the imaging device 10 shown in FIG. 1 , the input device and the output device are realized by a touch panel. The user interface 14 is controlled by the processor 11. The imaging device 10 accepts various specifications from the user using the user interface 14.

[0038] The imaging module 15 includes, for example, an imaging element that captures an image of a subject through an imaging optical system. The imaging optical system includes at least an imaging lens such as a focus lens or a zoom lens. The imaging element is configured with a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) image sensor or a CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor. The imaging module 15 also includes a signal processing circuit that performs sampling and digital conversion on the captured image signal output from the imaging element. The imaging module 15 also includes an image processing unit that performs digital signal processing on the captured image signal processed by the signal processing circuit to generate captured image data in, for example, JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) format. The imaging module 15 is controlled by the processor 11.

[0039] The processor 11 realizes predetermined functions by executing a control program. In this embodiment, as the control program, for example, an image transfer application for the imaging device for transferring image data from the imaging device 10 is pre-installed in the memory 12. The processor 11 realizes predetermined functions by executing this image transfer application.

[0040] <Hardware Configuration of Information Terminal 20> Fig. 3 is a diagram showing an example of the hardware configuration of the information terminal 20. As shown in Fig. 3, the information terminal 20 includes a processor 21, a memory 22, a communication interface 23, and a user interface 24. The processor 21, the memory 22, the communication interface 23, and the user interface 24 are connected by, for example, a bus 29. The processor 21, the memory 22, the communication interface 23, and the user interface 24 are respectively similar to the processor 11, the memory 12, the communication interface 13, and the user interface 14 of the imaging device 10 described in Fig. 2.

[0041] Although omitted in Figure 3, the information terminal 20 may be equipped with sensors including an imaging device (camera) that has an imaging optical system and an imaging element and is capable of capturing images, or a spatial recognition sensor that is capable of recognizing the space around the information terminal 20 in three dimensions.

[0042] Furthermore, an image transfer application for the information terminal, for example, for transferring image data from the imaging device 10 to the information terminal 20, is pre-installed as a control program in the memory 22 of the information terminal 20. The processor 21 executes this image transfer application to realize predetermined functions.

[0043] 4 is a flowchart showing an example of processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. The information terminal 20 starts this processing when, for example, an image transfer application for receiving image data captured by the imaging device 10 to the information terminal 20 is launched.

[0044] First, the information terminal 20 establishes a communication connection with the imaging device 10, for example, by wireless communication (step S11).

[0045] Next, the information terminal 20 receives, from the connected imaging device 10, compatible file format information indicating image file formats compatible with the imaging device 10 (step S12). The image file format includes at least one of an image size (4K, 8K, etc.), a frame rate, and a compression codec. The image file format is a combination of multiple types of file formats. The multiple types of file formats include image size, file format, bit rate, frame rate, compression codec, etc. The compatible file format information is information indicating all file formats that can be captured by the imaging device 10, and is information indicating file formats that the imaging device 10 can capture and save in the memory 12 within the imaging device. The compatible file format information of the imaging device 10 is an example of the "first file format information" of the present invention.

[0046] Next, the information terminal 20 connects to the server 30 via the network 2 and receives from the server 30 compatible file format information indicating image file formats compatible with the information terminal 20 itself, based on the file format information compatible with the imaging device 10 received in step S12 (step S13). Compatibility with the information terminal 20 means, for example, that the file can be played back on the information terminal 20 or that the file can be saved on the information terminal 20. The information terminal 20 receives from the server 30 a file format that the information terminal 20 can support, from among the file formats compatible with the imaging device 10. The compatible file format information of the information terminal 20 is an example of "third file format information" in the present invention.

[0047] In this example, the case where the information on the file formats supported by the information terminal 20 is stored in the server 30 will be described, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the information on the file formats supported by the information terminal 20 may be stored in the imaging device 10. The information terminal 20 may receive the information on the file formats supported by the information terminal 20 from the imaging device 10. The imaging device 10 is an example of the "data storage device" of the present invention.

[0048] Next, the information terminal 20 generates mutually compatible file format information that specifies a file format that can be captured by the imaging device 10 and played by the information terminal 20, based on the compatible file format information of the imaging device 10 received in step S12 and the compatible file format information of the information terminal 20 received in step S13 (step S14). The mutually compatible file format information is an example of the "second file format information" of the present invention.

[0049] Next, the information terminal 20 receives, from the imaging device 10, list information of image data stored in the imaging device 10 (step S15). The list information is a list of file formats of image data captured by the imaging device 10 and stored in the memory 12 of the imaging device 10.

[0050] Next, the information terminal 20 determines whether or not the image data of all the list information received in step S16 has been determined (step S16). The determination is a determination as to whether or not the file format of the received image data is a file format that can be played on the information terminal 20.

[0051] In step S16, if determination has not been completed for all image data (step S16: No), the information terminal 20 determines whether the file format of the undetermined image data is a file format that can be played on the information terminal 20 (step S17).

[0052] In step S17, if the file format is playable on the information terminal 20 (step S17: Yes), the information terminal 20 enables thumbnail display of the determined image data (step S18), and then returns to step S16 to repeat the respective processes. In step S17, if the file format is not playable on the information terminal 20 (step S17: No), the information terminal 20 disables thumbnail display of the determined image data (step S19), and then returns to step S16 to repeat the respective processes.

[0053] On the other hand, if all image data have been determined in step S16 (step S16: Yes), the information terminal 20 proceeds to step S20, where it displays thumbnails relating to the image data on the user interface 24 (display) of the information terminal 20 (step S20). The display destination for displaying thumbnails relating to the image data is not limited to the display of the information terminal 20, and may be, for example, a display device separate from the information terminal 20.

[0054] Note that the thumbnail display may display only thumbnails related to valid image data, or may display all thumbnails so that the validity / invalidity of all image data is clear. For example, thumbnails of image data that can be played back on the information terminal 20 may be marked with a "valid" mark, or may be displayed in a different color. Furthermore, for example, thumbnails of all image data may be displayed, and if an instruction is given to download image data that cannot be played back, reception of image data from the imaging device 10 to the information terminal 20 may be restricted, or a warning may be issued, or a restriction and warning may be issued. Restricting reception means, for example, blocking reception. Issuing a warning means issuing warning information indicating that the image cannot be played back (saved).

[0055] Then, when the user selects a file format displayed as a valid thumbnail on the display of the information terminal 20 where thumbnails are displayed, image data in the selected file format is transmitted from the imaging device 10 to the information terminal 20.

[0056] As described above, the information terminal 20 of the embodiment can acquire file format information from the imaging device 10 connected to the communication terminal 20 indicating image file formats that the imaging device 10 can capture, acquire file format information from the server 30 indicating image file formats that the information terminal 20 can play or save, generate reciprocal file format information indicating image file formats that the imaging device 10 can capture and that the information terminal 20 can play or save, and, based on the reciprocal file format information, display, for example, thumbnails, information on image data that the information terminal 20 can play or save from among the image data stored in the memory of the imaging device 10 currently connected to the communication terminal 20. This prevents a situation in which the user selects image data that cannot be played or saved on the information terminal 20 when transferring image data captured with the imaging device 10 to the information terminal 20. This reduces unnecessary time and communication charges while the image transfer application is running, improving usability.

[0057] <First Modification of Processing of Information Terminal 20> Fig. 5 is a flowchart showing a first modification of processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. As shown in Fig. 5, the processing in steps S11 and S12 is the same as the processing in steps S11 and S12 described in Fig. 4.

[0058] Next, the information terminal 20 receives from the server 30 sample image data in each file format that is compatible with the imaging device 10, based on the compatible file format information of the imaging device 10 received in step S12 (step S31). The sample image data refers to small-sized image data for test purposes in an image file format that is compatible with the imaging device 10. The sample image data is an example of the "test image data" of the present invention.

[0059] In this example, the sample image data is stored in the server 30 and is received from the server 30, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, the sample image data may be stored in the imaging device 10. The information terminal 20 may receive the sample image data from the imaging device 10.

[0060] Next, the information terminal 20 performs a playback test of the sample image data received from the server 30 in step S31 (step S32). The playback test is to determine whether the sample image data can be played back on the information terminal 20.

[0061] Next, the information terminal 20 generates information on a compatible file format that can be captured by the imaging device 10 and played back by the information terminal 20, based on the playback test result of the sample image data in step S32 (step S14).

[0062] The processes from step S15 to step S20 are the same as the processes from step S15 to step S20 described with reference to FIG.

[0063] According to the information terminal 20 of the first modification, since the actual playback operation is performed using test sample image data to determine whether the file format can be played on the information terminal 20, more accurate bidirectional file format information can be generated. Furthermore, compared to when the playback operation is performed by the user, the occurrence of operational errors can be reduced. Furthermore, the maintenance man-hours required by the provider of the image transfer application can be reduced.

[0064] <Second Modification of Processing of Information Terminal 20> Figure 6 is a flowchart showing a second modification of processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. The processing of the second modification differs from the processing of the first modification of playing back sample image data described in Figure 5 in that a storage test is performed on sample image data. As shown in Figure 6, the processing of steps S11, S12, and S31 is the same as the processing of steps S11, S12, and S31 described in Figure 5.

[0065] Next, the information terminal 20 performs a storage test on the sample image data received from the server 30 in step S31 (step S33). The storage test is to determine whether the sample image data can be stored in the information terminal 20.

[0066] Next, the information terminal 20 generates information on a compatible file format that can be captured by the imaging device 10 and stored by the information terminal 20, based on the result of the sample image data storage test in step S33 (step S14).

[0067] The processes in steps S15 and S16 are the same as those in steps S15 and S16 described with reference to FIG.

[0068] Next, in step S16, if the determination has not been completed for all image data (step S16: No), the information terminal 20 determines whether the image data determined this time can be saved in the information terminal 20 (step S34).

[0069] The processes from step S18 to step S20 are the same as the processes from step S18 to step S20 described with reference to FIG.

[0070] According to the information terminal 20 of the second modification, since the test sample image data is actually used to perform the saving operation to determine whether the file format is compatible with the information terminal 20, it is possible to generate more accurate bidirectional file format information. Furthermore, compared to when the saving operation is performed by the user, for example, the occurrence of operational errors can be reduced. Furthermore, it is possible to reduce the maintenance man-hours required by the provider of the image transfer application.

[0071] 7 and 8 are flowcharts showing a third modified example of the processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. The processing of the third modified example is processing in which, if the content of previously generated bidirectional file format information has not changed, that information is reused.

[0072] First, the information terminal 20 establishes a communication connection with the imaging device 10 in the same manner as in the process of FIG. 4 (step S11).

[0073] Next, the information terminal 20 receives device information of the imaging device 10 from the connected imaging device 10 (step S41). The device information of the imaging device 10 includes the software version of the connected imaging device 10, the model name of the imaging device 10, etc.

[0074] Next, the information terminal 20 determines whether or not the information terminal 20 itself stores associated information about the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 (step S42). This associated information is information in which, for each combination of device information about the imaging device 10 and device information about the information terminal 20, mutually compatible file format information indicating image file formats that can be captured by the imaging device 10 and played back by the information terminal 20 is associated. The device information about the information terminal 20 includes the OS (Operating System) version of the information terminal 20, the model name of the information terminal 20, etc.

[0075] In step S42, if the related information between the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 is stored (step S42: Yes), the information terminal 20 determines whether the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 has changed (step S43).

[0076] In step S43, if the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 has not changed (step S43: No), the information terminal 20 generates mutually compatible file format information from the stored related information (step S44), and then proceeds to step S15 in Fig. 8. That is, if the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 included in the stored related information matches the current device information of the imaging device 10 and the current device information of the information terminal 20, the mutually compatible file format information included in the stored related information is used.

[0077] In step S43, if the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 has changed (step S43: Yes), the information terminal 20 receives the compatible file format information of the imaging device 10 from the connected imaging device 10 (step S12), receives the compatible file format information of the information terminal 20 from the server 30 (step S13), and then generates mutually compatible file format information (step S14). The processes of steps S12 to S14 are the same as the processes of steps S12 to S14 in FIG. 4.

[0078] Next, the information terminal 20 stores in the memory 22 of the information terminal 20 the associated information in which the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 and the mutually compatible file format information are associated with each other (step S45). After storing the associated information, the information terminal 20 proceeds to step S15 in FIG. 8.

[0079] The processes from step S15 to step S20 are the same as the processes from step S15 to step S20 described in Fig. 4. Note that instead of the process of step S13 in which information on the file format supported by the information terminal 20 is received from the server 30, the test format of the sample image data may be used as described in Figs. 5 and 6.

[0080] According to the information terminal 20 of the third modified example, if the state of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 has not changed since the last time the image transfer application was launched, the mutually compatible file format information used at that time can be used, so it is possible to omit the specified processing when the image transfer application is launched, and the time until the image transfer application can be started is shortened.

[0081] <Fourth Modification of Processing of Information Terminal 20> Fig. 9 is a flowchart showing a fourth modification of processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. The processing of the fourth modification differs from the processing of the third modification of Fig. 7 in which the information terminal 20 stores the related information, in that the server 30 stores the related information between the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20.

[0082] Similar to the process in FIG. 7, the information terminal 20 establishes a communication connection with the imaging device 10 (step S11), and then receives device information of the imaging device 10 from the connected imaging device 10 (step S41).

[0083] Next, the information terminal 20 determines whether associated information matching the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 is stored in the server 30 (step S51). The information terminal 20 inquires via communication whether the matching associated information is stored in the server 30, and determines whether it is stored based on a reply from the server 30. As described in the third modified example above, the associated information is information in which, for each combination of device information of the imaging device 10 and device information of the information terminal 20, mutually compatible file format information indicating image file formats that can be captured by the imaging device 10 and played back by the information terminal 20 is associated. Note that the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 in the associated information do not need to be the same user as long as the combination of device information is the same.

[0084] In step S51, if the related information is stored in the server 30 (step S51: Yes), the information terminal 20 receives from the server 30 related information that matches the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 (step S52).

[0085] Next, the information terminal 20 generates mutually compatible file format information from the related information received in step S52 (step S53), and then proceeds to step S15 in Fig. 8. That is, if the related information stored in the server 30 contains information that matches the current device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20, the mutually compatible file format information included in that related information is used.

[0086] In step S51, if the related information is not stored in the server 30 (step S51: No), the subsequent processes of steps S12 to S14 are the same as the processes of steps S12 to S14 in the third modified example of FIG.

[0087] Next, the information terminal 20 transmits to the server 30 associated information in which the device information of the imaging device 10 and the information terminal 20 and the mutually compatible file format information are associated (step S54). After transmitting the associated information to the server 30, the information terminal 20 proceeds to step S15 in FIG. 8.

[0088] According to the information terminal 20 of the fourth modification, similarly to the third modification, it is possible to use bidirectional file format information that has been used in the past, thereby shortening the time required to start using the image transfer application.

[0089] <Fifth Modification of Processing by Information Terminal 20> Fig. 10 is a flowchart showing a fifth modification of processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. As shown in Fig. 10, the processing from step S11 to step S14 is the same as the processing from step S11 to step S14 described in Fig. 4. However, although omitted in the description of Fig. 4, it is assumed that the supported file format information of the imaging device 10 received in step S12 includes current setting information indicating the file format currently set in the imaging device 10.

[0090] Next, the information terminal 20 determines whether the image file format captured by the communication-connected imaging device 10 can be played back on the information terminal 20 (step S61). The imaging file format of the imaging device 10 is the image file format currently set in the imaging device 10, and is the file format used to save image data captured at the moment of imaging. Playback on the information terminal 20 means that the file format is included in the file formats that the information terminal 20 can play back.

[0091] In step S61, if the image file format currently set in the imaging device 10 cannot be played back on the information terminal 20 (step S61: No), the information terminal 20 displays a warning to notify the user that the image file format cannot be played back (step S62). The warning may be displayed on the user interface 14 (display) of the imaging device 10 or on the user interface 24 (display) of the information terminal 20.

[0092] In this example, it is determined whether the image can be played back on the information terminal 20, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, it may be determined whether the image can be saved. Furthermore, for example, if the image cannot be played back (saved) on the information terminal 20, the information terminal 20 may perform control to change the image file format set in the imaging device 10 to an image file format that can be played back (saved) on the information terminal 20. Furthermore, when performing control to change the image file format, the information terminal 20 may also notify the user by issuing a warning. Furthermore, instead of the process of step S13 in which information on supported file formats of the information terminal 20 is received from the server 30, a test format of sample image data may be used, as described in FIGS. 5 and 6 .

[0093] According to the information terminal 20 of the fifth modification, even if an image is captured in the setting state of the imaging device 10, the user can be notified that the captured image cannot be played back (saved) on the information terminal 20, and therefore it is possible to prevent unnecessary transfer of image data from the imaging device 10 to the information terminal 20. Furthermore, by changing the setting state of the imaging device 10 to a file format that can be played back (saved) on the information terminal 20, it is also possible to prevent unnecessary transfer of image data from the imaging device 10 to the information terminal 20.

[0094] <Warning Display Example> Fig. 11 is a diagram showing an example of a warning message displayed on the imaging device 10. As shown in Fig. 11, a warning message 31 notifying, for example, that "images captured in the file format set in the imaging device 10 cannot be played back (saved) on the connected information terminal 20" is displayed on the display 14a provided on the back surface of the imaging device 10.

[0095] Fig. 12 is a diagram showing an example of a warning message displayed on the information terminal 20. As shown in Fig. 12, a warning message 32 is displayed on the display 24a of the information terminal 20, notifying that "images captured in the file format set in the connected imaging device 10 cannot be played back (saved) on the information terminal 20," for example.

[0096] 13 is a flowchart showing a sixth modified example of processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. As shown in Fig. 13, after the information terminal 20 establishes a communication connection with the imaging device 10 (step S11), the information terminal 20 receives, from the connected imaging device 10, compatible file format information indicating image file formats compatible with the imaging device 10 (step S12).

[0097] Next, the information terminal 20 acquires the supported file format information of the information terminal 20 via an OS standard API (Application Programming Interface) (step S71). That is, the information terminal 20 acquires the supported file format information of the information terminal 20 via the API if the OS of the information terminal 20 can recognize the supported file format information. The supported file format information of the information terminal 20 may be stored in the information terminal 20. The information terminal 20 may be an example of the "data storage device" of the present invention.

[0098] The processes from step S14 to step S20 are the same as the processes from step S14 to step S20 described with reference to FIG.

[0099] According to the information terminal 20 of the sixth modified example, it is possible to reduce the number of maintenance steps required by the provider of the image transfer application.

[0100] <Seventh Modification of Processing of Information Terminal 20> Fig. 14 is a flowchart showing a seventh modification of processing by the processor 21 of the information terminal 20. As shown in Fig. 14, the processing from step S11 to step S14 is the same as the processing from step S11 to step S14 described in Fig. 4.

[0101] Next, the information terminal 20 determines whether or not to perform thumbnail display (step S81). Whether or not to perform thumbnail display is determined based on, for example, whether or not an instruction to perform thumbnail display has been received from the user, or whether or not the current mode is a mode for performing thumbnail display.

[0102] In step S81, if thumbnail display is not performed (step S81: No), the information terminal 20 determines whether it is time to update the bidirectional file format information (step S82).

[0103] In step S82, if it is not the timing to update the bidirectional file format information (step S82: No), the information terminal 20 returns to step S81 and repeats each process. In step S82, if it is the timing to update the bidirectional file format information (step S82: Yes), the information terminal 20 returns to step S11 and repeats each process. The timing to update the bidirectional file format information refers to, for example, when the image transfer application is idle or when a file is being transferred.

[0104] In step S81, if thumbnail display is performed (step S81: Yes), the subsequent processes from step S15 to step S20 are the same as the processes from step S15 to step S20 in Fig. 4. Note that instead of the process of step S13 in which information on the file format supported by the information terminal 20 is received from the server 30, the test format of the sample image data may be used as described in Figs. 5 and 6.

[0105] According to the information terminal 20 of the seventh modification, even if the bidirectional file format information changes while the image transfer application is running, the latest bidirectional file format information can be obtained at each update timing, which further prevents a situation in which the user selects image data that cannot be played or saved on the information terminal 20. This reduces unnecessary time and communication charges when starting up the image transfer application, thereby improving usability.

[0106] <Eighth Modification of Processing of Information Terminal 20> In the above processing of the information terminal 20, a case has been described in which compatible file format information capable of image capture by the imaging device 10 is acquired from the imaging device 10 connected for communication, and reversibly compatible file format information in which the imaging device 10 can capture images and in which the information terminal 20 (the information terminal 20 itself) can play / save is generated based on the acquired compatible file format information. However, this is not limited to this. The information terminal 20 may generate, for example, reversibly compatible file format information in which the imaging device 10 can capture images and in which another information terminal 20 other than the information terminal 20 itself can play / save, based on the compatible file format information acquired from the imaging device 10. The other information terminal 20 other than the information terminal 20 itself is an example of a "second information processing device" in the present invention.

[0107] <Ninth Modification of Processing of Information Terminal 20> Although the configuration in which the information terminal 20 generates the mutually compatible file format information (second file format information) and receives image data from the imaging device 10 based on the mutually compatible file format information has been described, the configuration is not limited to this. In other words, the generation of the mutually compatible file format information and the reception of image data from the imaging device 10 based on the mutually compatible file format information may be performed by another information terminal.

[0108] The information processing method described in the above-described embodiment can be realized by executing a prepared information processing program on a computer. The information processing program is recorded on a computer-readable storage medium and executed by being read from the storage medium. The information processing program may be provided in a form stored on a non-transitory storage medium such as a flash memory, or may be provided via a network such as the Internet.
