[0001] The present invention relates to a manufacturing technique for a conductor component.

[0002] To manufacture conductor parts for use in the stator coils of electric motors, it is necessary to strip a portion of the insulation coating from the conductor material and cut it to a predetermined length. Patent Document 1 discloses a technology for automating the manufacturing of such conductor parts.

[0003] Patent No. 5681248

[0004] However, the technique described in Patent Document 1 requires intermittent transport of the conductor wire to remove the insulating coating, and there is room for improvement in terms of improving production efficiency.

[0009] Hereinafter, the embodiments will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. Note that the following embodiments do not limit the scope of the invention as claimed, and not all combinations of features described in the embodiments are necessarily essential to the invention. Two or more of the features described in the embodiments may be arbitrarily combined. Furthermore, the same reference numerals are used for the same or similar components, and redundant explanations will be omitted.

[0010] First Embodiment Overview of Manufacturing Apparatus FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a manufacturing apparatus 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, arrows X and Y indicate horizontal directions that are orthogonal to each other, and arrow Z indicates the up-down direction. The manufacturing apparatus 100 is an apparatus for manufacturing a conductor component 102 from a conductor material 101. The conductor material 101 has a linear conductor 101a with a rectangular cross section and an insulating coating 101b that covers the periphery of the conductor 101a. The conductor component 102 is a component that forms a motor coil. The conductor component 102 has a predetermined length, and at both ends, a predetermined length of the insulating coating 101b is peeled off to expose the conductor 101a. The manufacturing apparatus 100 manufactures the conductor component 102 from the conductor material 101.

[0011] The manufacturing apparatus 100 includes a supply device 1 for the conductor wire 101, a straightening device 2, a processing device 3, and a stocker 4, which are aligned in a line in the Y direction. The conductor wire 101 is supplied to the manufacturing apparatus 100 in a state where it is wound around a reel 110. The supply device 1 supports the reel 110 so that it can freely rotate about an axis of rotation in the X direction, and includes a pair of lower support rollers 1a and a pair of upper pressure rollers 1b. The conductor wire 101 is pulled out from the reel 110 in the Y direction and transported by the processing device 3. The transport direction of the conductor wire 101 is referred to as the +Y direction, and the opposite direction is referred to as the -Y direction. In the following description, the downstream side and the upstream side are based on the transport direction (+Y direction).

[0012] The straightening device 2, located downstream of the supply device 1, straightens the conductor wire 101, which has become curved due to being wound around the reel 110, into a straight wire. The straightening device 2 has two upper and lower rows of rollers 2a. The processing device 3, located downstream of the straightening device 2, pulls out the conductor wire 101 from the reel 110 and transports it, strips the insulating coating while transporting the conductor wire 101, and cuts it to a predetermined length. The cut conductor wire components 102 are discharged to a stocker 4, located downstream of the processing device 3. The stocker 4 has a tray 4a that stores the conductor wire components 102 and a discharge chute 4b. The conductor wire components 102 discharged from the processing device 3 fall into the tray 4a by being guided by the discharge chute 4b. In this embodiment, the cut conductor wire components 102 are discharged to a stocker, but they may be discharged to a transport device such as a belt conveyor.

[0013] The control circuit 5 is an electronic circuit that controls the manufacturing apparatus 100. The control circuit 5 includes, for example, a processor represented by a CPU, a storage device, an input / output interface that relays between the processor and an external device, a communication interface that communicates with a higher-level controller, a drive circuit that drives actuators such as motors, and a signal processing circuit that processes detection signals from sensors. The storage device is a semiconductor memory such as a ROM or RAM, a hard disk, or the like. The processor controls the manufacturing apparatus 100 by executing a control program stored in the storage device.

[0014] <Configuration of Processing Apparatus> The processing apparatus 3 will be described with reference to Figures 1 and 2. Figure 2 is a plan view of the processing apparatus 3. The processing apparatus 3 includes moving bodies MV1 to MV3 that are arranged in a line in the Y direction and each of which repeatedly moves back and forth in the Y direction. Of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3, moving body MV1 is arranged on the most upstream side, moving body MV2 is arranged downstream of moving body MV2, and moving body MV3 is arranged downstream of moving body MV2.

[0015] The conductor component 102 has a predetermined length, and the insulating coating is stripped off at both ends to expose the conductor. The processing device 3 strips off the insulating coating of the conductor wire 101 in a predetermined range at a pitch corresponding to the predetermined length of the conductor component 102 (the predetermined range is called the stripping target area), and cuts the conductor wire 101 in the stripping target area. The cut pieces become the conductor component 102. In this embodiment, the insulating coating is stripped off by the mobile bodies MV1 and MV2, and the conductor wire 101 is cut by the mobile body MV3. In this embodiment, the insulating coating is stripped off and the conductor component 102 is cut while the conductor wire 101 is being transported, thereby manufacturing the conductor component 102.

[0016] 1 schematically illustrates a conductor wire 101 before cutting from which the insulating coating has been stripped, and a conductor wire component 102 after cutting. The insulating coating 101b is stripped from a stripping target portion 101c of length L2 on the conductor wire 101 at each length L1 by mobile bodies MV1 and MV2. The conductor wire 101 is then cut at a midpoint of the stripping target portion 101c by mobile body MV3. As a result, a conductor wire component 102 of length L1 is produced, with the conductor 101a exposed at each end by a length L2 / 2.

[0017] The moving bodies MV1 to MV3 are supported on a mount 3a. The mount 3a has a U-shaped cross section, and two rail members 3b that guide the movement of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3 in the Y direction are supported on the mount 3a. The two rail members 3b are members that extend in the Y direction and are spaced apart from each other in the X direction.

[0018] The moving body MV1 has a base member 10. The base member 10 is placed on the two rail members 3b so as to straddle them, and has a slider that engages with the rail members 3b and slides on the rail members 3b.

[0019] The moving body MV2 has a base member 20. The base member 20 is placed on the two rail members 3b so as to straddle them, and has a slider that engages with the rail members 3b and slides on the rail members 3b.

[0020] The moving body MV3 has a base member 30. The base member 30 is placed on the two rail members 3b so as to straddle them, and has a slider that engages with the rail members 3b and slides on the rail members 3b.

[0021] The processing device 3 includes moving units 15, 25, and 35. The moving units 15, 25, and 35 are mounted inside a stand 3a.

[0022] The moving unit 15 is a drive mechanism that reciprocates the moving body MV1 in the Y direction. In this embodiment, the moving unit 15 is a ball screw mechanism that includes a motor 15a as a drive source, a ball screw shaft 15b that is rotated by the motor 15a, a bearing 15c that supports the end of the ball screw shaft 15b, and a ball nut 15d that engages with the ball screw shaft 15b. The ball screw shaft 15b extends in the Y direction, and the ball nut 15d is provided on the base member 10. The ball screw shaft 15b rotates as the motor 15a rotates, and the ball nut 15d moves. This allows the moving body MV1 to move in the Y direction, and the moving body MV1 can be moved forward (movement in the +Y direction) and backward (movement in the -Y direction) by switching the rotation direction of the motor 15a.

[0023] The moving unit 25 is a drive mechanism that reciprocates the moving body MV2 in the Y direction. In this embodiment, the moving unit 25 is a ball screw mechanism that includes a motor 25a as a drive source, a ball screw shaft 25b that is rotated by the motor 25a, a bearing 25c that supports the end of the ball screw shaft 25b, and a ball nut 25d that engages with the ball screw shaft 25b. The ball screw shaft 25b extends in the Y direction, and the ball nut 25d is provided on the base member 20. The ball screw shaft 25b rotates as the motor 25a rotates, and the ball nut 25d moves. This allows the moving body MV2 to move in the Y direction, and the moving body MV2 can move forward (movement in the +Y direction) and backward (movement in the -Y direction) by switching the rotation direction of the motor 25a.

[0024] The moving unit 35 is a drive mechanism that reciprocates the moving body MV3 in the Y direction. In this embodiment, the moving unit 35 is a ball screw mechanism that includes a motor 35a as a drive source, a ball screw shaft 35b that is rotated by the motor 35a, a bearing 35c that supports the end of the ball screw shaft 35b, and a ball nut 35d that engages with the ball screw shaft 35b. The ball screw shaft 35b extends in the Y direction, and the ball nut 35d is provided on the base member 30. Rotation of the motor 35a rotates the ball screw shaft 35b, and moves the ball nut 35d. This allows the moving body MV3 to move in the Y direction, and switching the rotation direction of the motor 35a allows the moving body MV3 to move forward (movement in the +Y direction) and backward (movement in the -Y direction).

[0025] In this embodiment, the moving units 15, 25, and 35 are ball screw mechanisms, but these moving units may be other types of drive mechanisms such as rack-pinion mechanisms, belt transmission mechanisms, or chain transmission mechanisms.

[0026] The moving body MV1 includes a pair of clamping units 11 and a peeling unit 12. In this embodiment, the pair of clamping units 11 are spaced apart in the Y direction, and the peeling unit 12 is disposed between the pair of clamping units 11. Each clamping unit 11 is driven by a corresponding drive unit 13, and the peeling unit 12 is driven by a drive unit 14. The drive units 13 and 14 are, for example, electric cylinders or air cylinders.

[0027] FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram of the clamping unit 11 and the peeling unit 12. The operation of the clamping unit 11 is shown in states OP11-1 and OP11-2 in FIG. 3. The insulating coating 101b covers the opposing side surfaces of the conductor 101a in the X and Z directions. The clamping unit 11 has an upper clamping member 11a and a lower clamping member 11b. In this embodiment, the clamping member 11a is a movable member that is moved in the Z direction by the drive unit 13, and the clamping member 11b is a fixed member fixed to the base member 10. The clamping member 11a has a contact portion 11c that contacts one side of the opposing Z-direction side surfaces of the conductor 101. The clamping member 11b has a definition surface 11d that contacts the other side of the opposing Z-direction side surfaces of the conductor 101 and defines the position of the conductor 101 in the Z direction.

[0028] By moving the clamping member 11a by the drive unit 13, the clamping section 11 is driven to a clamping state (OP11-2) in which the conductor wire 101 is clamped in the Z direction, and a released state (OP11-1) in which the conductor wire 101 is released. By moving the movable body MV1 forward while the clamping section 11 is in the clamping state, the conductor wire 101 can be transported in the +Y direction. On the other hand, by moving the movable body MV1 in the -Y direction while the clamping section 11 is in the released state, the movable body MV1 can be returned without interfering with the transport of the conductor wire 101.

[0029] The operation of the peeling unit 12 is shown in states OP12-1 and OP12-2 in Figure 3. The peeling unit 12 has an upper blade member 12a and a lower receiving member 12b, and the blade member 12a is moved in the Z direction by the drive unit 14. The blade member 12a is formed with dimensions equivalent to the length L2 of the target stripping portion 101c in the Y direction. The receiving member 12b is fixed to the base member 10 and supports the conductor wire 1010 from below during stripping. The blade member 12a has a pair of blade portions 12c, 12c spaced apart in the X direction. The receiving member 12b abuts against the lower side surface of the conductor wire 101 in the Z direction and has a defining surface 12d that defines the position of the conductor wire 101 in the Z direction.

[0030] The blade member 12a is moved by the drive unit 14 between a retracted position (OP12-1) where it is retracted from the conductor wire 101 and a stripping position (OP12-2). The state in which the blade member 12a is in the retracted position is also referred to as the retracted state of the stripping section 12, and the state in which it is in the stripping position is also referred to as the stripping state of the stripping section 12. By moving the blade member 12a to the stripping position by the drive unit 14, the insulating coating 101b is stripped by the pair of blades on a pair of side surfaces of the conductor wire 101 facing each other in the X direction, exposing the conductor 101a.

[0031] Specifically, the stripping is performed by moving each of the tip ends of the pair of blade portions 12a1, 12a1 past the defining surface 12d to a predetermined position on the receiving member 12b side. Before the stripping unit 12 performs stripping, the stripping target portion 101c of the conductor wire 101 has the insulating coating 101b applied to all opposing side surfaces. The defining surface 11d and the defining surface 12d are positioned on the moving body MV1 so as to be substantially flush with each other in the Z direction.

[0032] In this embodiment, the distance between the pair of blade portions 12c, 12c in the X direction is shorter than the width of the conductor 101a in the X direction. As a result, when the blade member 12a moves to the stripping position, the pair of blade portions 12c, 12c cut away the insulating coating 101b on a pair of side surfaces facing each other in the X direction at the stripping target area, and a portion of the conductor 101a in the X direction. Therefore, even if there is variation in the size and thickness of the conductor 101a and the insulating coating 101b, the conductor 101a can be reliably exposed.

[0033] 1 and 2 , the moving body MV2 includes a pair of clamping units 21 and a peeling unit 22. In this embodiment, the pair of clamping units 21 are spaced apart in the Y direction, and the peeling unit 22 is disposed between the pair of clamping units 21. Each clamping unit 21 is driven by a corresponding drive unit 23, and the peeling unit 22 is driven by a drive unit 24. The drive units 23 and 24 are, for example, electric cylinders or air cylinders.

[0034] 4 is an explanatory diagram of the clamping unit 21 and the peeling unit 22. The operation of the clamping unit 21 is shown in states OP21-1 and OP22-2. The clamping unit 21 has a right-side clamping member 21a and a left-side clamping member 21b spaced apart in the X direction. In this embodiment, the clamping member 21a is a movable member that is moved in the X direction by the drive unit 23, and the clamping member 21b is a fixed member fixed to the base member 20. The clamping member 21a has a contact portion 21c that contacts one side of the opposing X-direction side surfaces of the conductor wire 101. The clamping member 21b has a definition surface 21d that contacts the other side of the opposing X-direction side surfaces of the conductor wire 101 and defines the position of the conductor wire 101 in the X direction.

[0035] By moving the clamping member 21a by the drive unit 23, the clamping section 21 is driven to a clamping state (OP21-2) in which the conductor wire 101 is clamped in the X direction, and a released state (OP21-1) in which the conductor wire 101 is released. By moving the movable body MV2 forward while the clamping section 21 is in the clamping state, the conductor wire 101 can be transported in the +Y direction. On the other hand, by moving the movable body MV2 in the -Y direction while the clamping section 21 is in the released state, the movable body MV2 can be returned without interfering with the transport of the conductor wire 101.

[0036] The operation of the peeling unit 22 is shown in states OP22-1 and OP22-2. The peeling unit 22 has a blade member 22a on the right side and a receiving member 22b on the left side, and the blade member 22a is moved in the X direction by the drive unit 24. The receiving member 22b is fixed to the base member 20 and supports the conductor wire 101 in the X direction during peeling. The blade member 22a is formed with dimensions in the Y direction equivalent to the length L2 of the target stripping portion 101c. The blade member 22a has a pair of blade portions 22c, 22c spaced apart in the Z direction. The receiving member 22b abuts against the other of the opposing X-direction side surfaces of the conductor wire 101 and has a defining surface 22d that defines the position of the conductor wire 101 in the X direction.

[0037] The blade member 22a is moved by the drive unit 24 between a retracted position (OP22-1) where the blade member 22a is retracted from the conductor wire 101 and a peeling position (OP22-2). The state in which the blade member 22a is in the retracted position is also referred to as the retracted state of the peeling section 22, and the state in which the blade member 22a is in the peeling position is also referred to as the peeling state of the peeling section 22.

[0038] When the target stripping portion 101c of the conductor wire 101 reaches the stripping portion 22, the insulating coating 101b on both sides of the target stripping portion 101c in the X direction has already been stripped by the stripping portion 12. By moving the blade member 22a to the stripping position by the drive unit 24, the insulating coating 101b is stripped by the pair of blades on a pair of sides of the conductor wire 101 facing each other in the Z direction, exposing the conductor 101a.

[0039] Specifically, the stripping is performed by moving each of the tips of the pair of blade portions 22c, 22c past the defining surface 22d to a predetermined position on the receiving member 22b side. Before the stripping unit 22 performs stripping, the stripping target portion 101c of the conductor wire 101 has the insulating coating applied only to a pair of side surfaces facing each other in the Z direction, and the insulating coating has been removed from a pair of side surfaces facing each other in the X direction, exposing the conductor 101a. The defining surface 21d and the defining surface 22d are provided on the moving body MV2 so as to be positioned substantially flush with each other in the X direction.

[0040] In this embodiment, the distance between the pair of blade portions 22c, 22c in the Z direction is shorter than the width of the conductor 101a in the Z direction. As a result, when the blade member 22a moves to the stripping position, the pair of blade portions 22c, 22c cut away the insulating coating 101b on a pair of side surfaces facing each other in the Z direction at the stripping target area 101c, as well as a portion of the conductor 101a in the Z direction. Therefore, even if there is variation in the size and thickness of the conductor 101a and the insulating coating 101b, the conductor 101a can be reliably exposed.

[0041] In this way, the conductor 101a is exposed on all four side surfaces of the stripping target portion 101c of the conductive wire 101.

[0042] 1 and 2 , the moving body MV3 includes a pair of clamping units 31 and a cutting unit 32. In this embodiment, the pair of clamping units 31 are spaced apart in the Y direction, and the cutting unit 32 is disposed between the pair of clamping units 31. By providing the clamping units 31 on the upstream and downstream sides of the cutting unit 32, the conductor wire 101 can be firmly fixed when cutting the conductor wire 101, and the cut pieces can be held by the downstream clamping unit 31 to prevent them from immediately dropping after cutting. Each clamping unit 31 is driven by a corresponding drive unit 33, and the cutting unit 32 is driven by a drive unit 34. The drive units 23 and 24 are, for example, electric cylinders or air cylinders.

[0043] 5 is an explanatory diagram of the clamping unit 31 and the cutting unit 32. The operation of the clamping unit 31 is shown in states OP31-1 and OP31-2. The clamping unit 31 has an upper clamping member 31a and a lower clamping member 31b spaced apart in the Z direction. In this embodiment, the clamping member 31a is a movable member that is moved in the Z direction by the drive unit 33, and the clamping member 31b is a fixed member that is fixed to the base member 30.

[0044] The clamping member 31a has a contact portion 31c that contacts one side of one of the opposing pairs (the first pair in this embodiment) of side surfaces of the conductor wire 101. The clamping member 31b has a defining surface 31d that contacts the other side of one of the opposing pairs (the first pair in this embodiment) of side surfaces of the conductor wire 101 and defines either the X direction or the Z direction (the Z direction in this embodiment) of the conductor wire 101.

[0045] By moving the clamping member 31a by the drive unit 33, the clamping section 31 is driven to a clamping state (OP31-2) in which the conductor wire 101 is clamped in the Z direction, and a released state (OP31-1) in which the conductor wire 101 is released. By moving the movable body MV3 forward while the clamping section 31 is in the clamping state, the conductor wire 101 and the conductor wire component 102 can be transported in the +Y direction. On the other hand, by moving the movable body MV3 in the -Y direction while the clamping section 31 is in the released state, the movable body MV3 can be returned without interfering with the transport of the conductor wire 101.

[0046] The operation of the cutting unit 32 is shown in states OP32-1 and OP32-2. The cutting unit 32 has an upper blade member 32a and a lower receiving member 32b, and the blade member 32a is moved in the Z direction by the drive unit 34. The receiving member 32b is fixed to the base member 30 and has a recess into which the cutting blade 32c of the blade member 32a is inserted. The receiving member 32b abuts against the other side of the side surface facing in either direction in which the insulating coating 101b of the conductor 101a is peeled (in this embodiment, the Z direction), and has a defining surface 32d that defines either the X direction or the Z direction of the conductor 101a (in this embodiment, the Z direction).

[0047] The blade member 32a is moved by the drive unit 34 between a retracted position (OP32-1) where it is retracted from the conductor wire 101 and a cutting position (OP32-2). Specifically, the tip of the cutting blade 32c moves past the defining surface 32d to the cutting position on the receiving member 32b side, thereby cutting the conductor wire 101. The state in which the blade member 32a is in the retracted position is also referred to as the retracted state of the cutting unit 32, and the state in which it is in the cutting position is also referred to as the cutting state of the cutting unit 32.

[0048] Before the cutting unit 32 performs the cutting, the target stripping portion of the conductor 101 has the insulating coating 101b removed from all opposing sides, exposing the conductor 101a. The defining surfaces 31d and 32d are positioned on the movable body MV3 so as to be substantially flush with each other in the Z direction. The blade member 32a is moved to the cutting position by the drive unit 34, whereby the target stripping portion 101c of the conductor 101, from which the insulating coating 101b has already been stripped by the stripping units 12 and 22, is cut. The cut pieces become the conductor components 102.

[0049] <Operation of Processing Apparatus> An example of the operation of the processing apparatus 3 will be described with reference to Figures 6 and 7. The control circuit 5 executes a control program to control the processing apparatus 3, and the processing apparatus 3 executes the manufacturing method of the conductor component 102 illustrated in Figures 6 and 7. The processing apparatus 3 cyclically repeats a series of operations. Figures 6 and 7 show several scenes of the series of operations.

[0050] (State ST1) The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 have just started moving forward. The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving forward at a speed slower than speed V1 and are accelerating. The clamping units 11 and 21 are in the released state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 are in the retracted state. The moving body MV3 is moving forward at speed V1, the clamping unit 31 is in the clamped state, and the conductor wire 101 is being transported in the +Y direction by the moving body MV3 at speed V1. The cutting unit 32 is in the cut state, and the conductor wire 101 is cut, but the cut piece (conductor wire part 102) is clamped by one of the clamping units 31 located downstream of the cutting unit 32.

[0051] (State ST2) Moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving forward at speed V1. Clamping units 11 and 21 have changed to the clamping state, and peeling units 12 and 22 are in the retracted state. Moving body MV3 is also moving forward at speed V1, with clamping unit 31 in the clamping state and clamping conductor wire 101 and conductor component 102, respectively, and cutting unit 32 having changed to the retracted state. Conductive wire 101 is being transported in the +Y direction by moving bodies MV1 to MV3 at speed V1.

[0052] (State ST3) The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving forward at a speed V1. The clamping units 11 and 21 are in the clamping state, and the stripping units 12 and 22 have changed to the stripping state. At one stripping target portion of the conductor wire 101, the insulating coating 101b on the side surface located in the X direction is stripped by the stripping unit 12, and at another stripping target portion, the insulating coating 101b on the side surface located in the Z direction is stripped by the stripping unit 22.

[0053] The conductor wire 101 is clamped by the clamping units 11 on both sides of the stripping unit 12 in the Y direction, and stripping is performed in the clamped state, so that the insulating coating 101b can be stably stripped while preventing the conductor wire 101 from wobbling. Similarly, the conductor wire 101 is clamped by the clamping units 21 on both sides of the stripping unit 22 in the Y direction, and stripping is performed in the clamped state, so that the insulating coating 101b can be stably stripped while preventing the conductor wire 101 from wobbling.

[0054] The moving body MV3 is also moving forward at a speed V1, with the cutting unit 32 in the retracted state and the clamping unit 31 in the released state. As the clamping unit 31 changes to the released state, the conductor wire component 102 is discharged to the stocker 4 (see FIG. 1). After the clamping unit 31 changes to the released state, the moving body MV3 decelerates and stops its forward movement. The conductor wire 101 is being transported in the +Y direction by the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 at a speed V1.

[0055] (State ST4) The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving forward at a speed V1. The clamping units 11 and 21 are in the clamping state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 remain in the peeling state. The clamping unit 31 is in the released state, the cutting unit 32 is in the retracted state, and the moving body MV3 is moving backward. The moving body MV3 moves backward at a predetermined speed for a predetermined time, and then decelerates and stops. The conductor 101 is being transported in the +Y direction by the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 at a speed V1.

[0056] (State ST5) The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving forward at a speed V1. The clamping units 11 and 21 are in the clamping state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 remain in the peeling state. The clamping unit 31 is in the released state, the cutting unit 32 is in the retracted state, and the moving body MV3 has started moving forward and is moving forward at a speed slower than speed V1 and is accelerating. The conductor wire 101 is being transported in the +Y direction by the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 at speed V1.

[0057] (State ST6) The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving forward at a speed V1. The clamping units 11 and 21 are in the clamping state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 have changed to the retracted state. The moving body MV3 is moving forward at a speed V1, and the clamping unit 31 has changed to the clamping state. The cutting unit 32 is in the retracted state. The conductor wire 101 is being transported in the +Y direction by the moving bodies MV1 to MV3 at a speed V1.

[0058] (State ST7) The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving forward at a speed V1. The clamping units 11 and 21 change to the released state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 are in the retracted state. After the clamping units 11 and 21 change to the released state, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 decelerate and stop moving forward. The moving body MV3 is moving forward at a speed V1, and the clamping unit 31 is in the clamping state. The cutting unit 32 is in the retracted state. The conductor wire 101 is being transported in the +Y direction by the moving body MV3 at a speed V1.

[0059] (State ST8) The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moving backward. The clamping units 11 and 21 are in the released state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 are in the retracted state. The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 move backward at a predetermined speed for a predetermined time, then decelerate and stop. The moving body MV3 is moving forward at speed V1, the clamping unit 31 is in the clamping state, and the conductor wire 101 is being transported by the moving body MV3 in the +Y direction at speed V1. The cutting unit 32 changes to the cutting state, and the conductor wire 101 is cut. The cut pieces become conductor wire parts 102. One clamping unit 31 located upstream of the cutting unit 32 clamps the conductor wire 101, and the other clamping unit 31 located downstream of the cutting unit 32 clamps the conductor wire part 102.

[0060] After that, the state becomes ST1, and the same operation is repeated thereafter to manufacture the conductor wire component 102.

[0061] As described above, in this embodiment, the forward and backward movements of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are synchronized, and the start and end of these forward movements are controlled simultaneously. The moving body MV3 moves forward while the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 move backward. The clamping unit 11 clamps the conductor wire 101 at speed V1 after the moving body MV1 starts moving forward, and releases the conductor wire 101 at speed V1 before the forward movement ends. The clamping unit 21 clamps the conductor wire 101 at speed V1 after the moving body MV2 starts moving forward, and releases the conductor wire 101 at speed V1 before the forward movement ends. The clamping unit 31 clamps the conductor wire 101 at speed V1 after the moving body MV3 starts moving forward, and releases the conductor wire 101 at speed V1 before the forward movement ends.

[0062] As a result, the conductor wire 101 is always transported at a constant speed V1 by one of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3. When the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 move forward, the stripping units 12 and 22 strip the insulating coating 101b from the target stripping portion of the conductor wire 101, and when the moving body MV3 moves forward, the cutting unit 32 cuts the conductor wire 101 at the target stripping portion, thereby producing the conductor wire component 102. Therefore, while the conductor wire 101 is continuously transported at the speed V1, the processes from stripping the insulating coating 101b to cutting the conductor wire 101 can be efficiently performed.

[0063] 6 and 7, the operation of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3 when the conductor wire 101 is already being transported at the speed V1 has been described. Here, a case where the transport of the conductor wire 101 starts from a stopped state will be described.

[0064] An operator or the like pulls out the conductor wire 101 from the reel 110 and moves it at least to a position where the moving body MV1 can clamp the conductor wire 101. The moving body MV1 then starts operating, clamping, peeling, and transporting the conductor wire 101. After the conductor wire 101 reaches a position where it can be clamped by the moving body MV2, the moving body MV2 aligns with the moving body MV1 to clamp, peel, and transport the conductor wire 101.

[0065] Furthermore, after the conductor wire 101 reaches a position where the moving body MV3 can clamp the conductor wire 101, the moving body MV3 operates to clamp, cut, and transport the conductor wire 101. After that, the operation is repeated in the cycle described above. Until the moving body MV3 operates, the transport of the conductor wire 101 is intermittent.

[0066] Figure 8 is a timing chart showing the movement patterns (changes in movement speed) of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3 for the operations described in Figures 6 and 7. In the figure, the vertical axis represents the movement speed of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3, with 0 representing the stopped state, +V1 representing the movement speed in the +Y direction (forward movement), and -V2 representing the movement speed in the -Y direction (return movement). The horizontal axis represents time. Also, ◯ represents the timing at which the clamping units 11, 21, and 31 changed to the clamping state, and ● represents the timing at which the clamping units 11, 21, and 31 changed to the released state. ▽ represents the timing at which the peeling units 12 and 22 changed to the peeling state, and ▼ represents the timing at which the peeling units 12 and 22 changed to the retracted state. ◇ represents the timing at which the cutting unit 32 changed to the cutting state, and ◆ represents the timing at which the cutting unit 32 changed to the retracted state.

[0067] At time t1, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 start moving forward (state ST1). The moving body MV3 is moving forward at a speed V1, and the conductor wire 101 is transported by the moving body MV3. At time t2, the speed of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 reaches speed V1. Thereafter, the clamping units 11 and 21 change to the clamping state, and the cutting unit 32 changes to the retracted state (state ST2). At this time, the conductor wire 101 is being transported by the moving bodies MV1 to MV3. Further thereafter, the stripping units 12 and 22 change to the stripping state, and the clamping unit 31 changes to the released state (state ST3). The conductor wire 101 is transported by the moving bodies MV1 and MV2.

[0068] At time t3, the moving body MV3 begins to decelerate and stop. It then accelerates in the -Y direction and begins moving backward at speed V2 (state ST4). After moving backward at speed V2 for a predetermined time, the moving body MV3 begins to decelerate and stop. At time t4, the moving body MV3 accelerates in the +Y direction and begins moving forward (state ST5). At time t5, the forward speed of the moving body MV3 reaches V1. Then, the clamping unit 31 changes to the clamping state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 change to the retracted state (state ST6). At this time, the conductor wire 101 is being transported by the moving bodies MV1 to MV3. Further thereafter, the clamping units 11 and 21 change to the released state (state ST7), and the cutting unit 32 changes to the cutting state (state ST8). The conductor wire 101 is transported by the moving body MV3.

[0069] The moving bodies MV1 and MV2, which are moving forward, begin to decelerate at time t6 and stop at time t7. At time t8, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 accelerate in the -Y direction and begin to move back, and at time t9, the speed of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 as they move back reaches V2. After moving back at speed V2 for a predetermined time, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 begin to decelerate at time t10 and stop at time t11. During this time, the conductor wire 101 is transported by the moving body MV3. This completes one cycle.

[0070] At time t12, the next cycle begins. The moving bodies MV1 and MV2 accelerate in the +Y direction and begin moving forward, and at time t13, the speed of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 reaches speed V1. Thereafter, the clamping units 11 and 21 change to the clamping state, and the cutting unit 32 changes to the retracted state. Further thereafter, the peeling units 12 and 22 change to the peeling state, and the clamping unit 31 changes to the released state. The conductor wire 101 is transported by the moving bodies MV1 and MV2.

[0071] The moving body MV3 starts to decelerate its forward movement at time t14, and after stopping, accelerates in the -Y direction and starts to move backward at time t13. At time t16, the speed of the moving body MV3's backward movement reaches speed V2. At time t17, the moving body MV3 starts to decelerate its backward movement, and after stopping, accelerates in the +Y direction and starts to move forward at time t18. At time t19, the speed of the moving body MV3's forward movement reaches V1. During this time, the conductor wire 101 is transported by the moving bodies MV1 and MV2.

[0072] Thereafter, the clamping unit 31 changes to the clamping state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 change to the retracted state. Further thereafter, the clamping units 11 and 21 change to the released state, and the cutting unit 32 changes to the cutting state. The conductor wire 101 is transported by the moving body MV3. Thereafter, control proceeds in the same manner. In the example of FIG. 8, the speed V2 of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3 when moving back is faster than the speed V1 when moving forward, and the moving time of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3 at the speed V2 when moving back is shorter than the moving time when moving forward at the speed V1. The moving distance of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3 when moving back is the same as the moving distance when moving forward.

[0073] The timing of the change of the peeling state and the retracted state of the peeling unit 12 is one example, and may occur at any time during the forward movement of the moving body MV1 and the period during which the clamping unit 11 is in the clamping state. Similarly, the timing of the change of the peeling state and the retracted state of the peeling unit 22 is one example, and may occur at any time during the forward movement of the moving body MV2 and the period during which the clamping unit 21 is in the clamping state. Furthermore, the timing of the change of the cutting state and the retracted state of the cutting unit 32 is one example, and may occur at any time during the forward movement of the moving body MV3 and the period during which the clamping unit 31 is in the clamping state.

[0074] Second Embodiment In the first embodiment, the forward and backward movements of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are synchronized, but they do not have to be synchronized. Figures 9 to 11 are timing charts that replace Figure 8 and show changes in the movement speeds of the moving bodies MV1 to MV3. Below, differences between the timing charts in Figures 9 to 11 and Figure 8 will be described.

[0075] In the example of Figure 9, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 start their forward movements at the same time, but end their forward movements at different times, with the moving body MV2 ending its forward movement earlier than the moving body MV1. The clamping unit 21 also changes to the released state and the peeling unit 22 changes to the retracted state earlier than the clamping unit 11 and the peeling unit 21. Therefore, the moving body MV2 ends its forward movement while the moving body MV1 is moving forward. Accordingly, the moving body MV2 has a longer return movement time than the moving body MV1, and the speed V3 during return movement satisfies the relationship V3<V2.

[0076] In the example of Figure 10, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 end their forward movements at the same time but start their forward movements at different times, with the moving body MV2 starting its forward movement later than the moving body MV1. The timing at which the clamping unit 21 changes to the clamping state and the peeling unit 22 changes to the peeling state is also later than the clamping unit 11 and the peeling unit 21. Therefore, the moving body MV2 starts its forward movement while the moving body MV1 is moving forward. Accordingly, the moving body MV2 has a longer return movement time than the moving body MV1, and the speed V3 during return movement satisfies the relationship V3<V2.

[0077] In the example of Figure 11, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 differ in the timing at which they start and end their forward movements, with the moving body MV2 starting its forward movement later than the moving body MV1 and ending its forward movement earlier. Furthermore, the timing at which the clamping unit 21 changes to the clamping state and the peeling unit 22 changes to the peeling state is later than the clamping unit 11 and the peeling unit 21, and the timing at which the clamping unit 21 changes to the released state and the peeling unit 22 changes to the retracted state is earlier than the clamping unit 11 and the peeling unit 21. Therefore, the moving body MV2 starts and ends its forward movement while the moving body MV1 is moving forward. Accordingly, the moving body MV2 has a longer return movement time than the moving body MV1, and the speed V4 during return movement satisfies the relationship V4<V2.

[0078] 9 to 11, the moving object MV2 has a longer return time than the moving object MV1, and the return speeds V3 and V4 are V3<V2 and V4<V2, but the return speeds V3 and V4 may be the same as V2. In this case, the stopping time of the moving object MV2 should be longer.

[0079] 8 to 11, the moving body MV1 is always moving forward while the moving body MV2 is moving forward, and continuous transport of the conductor wire 101 can also be performed by the moving bodies MV1 and MV3. Therefore, a configuration in which the clamping unit 21 of the moving body MV2 is omitted can also be adopted. However, by providing the clamping unit 21 on the moving body MV2, the insulating coating 101b can be stably stripped by the stripping unit 22.

[0080] <Fourth Embodiment> Contrary to the examples of the timing charts in Figures 8 to 11, it is also possible to make the moving body MV2 always move forward while the moving body MV1 is moving forward, and to perform continuous transport of the conductor wire 101 by the moving bodies MV2 and MV3. This can be achieved by interchanging the operations of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 in the timing charts in Figures 8 to 11. In this case, it is also possible to adopt a configuration in which the clamping unit 11 of the moving body MV1 is omitted. However, by providing the clamping unit 11 on the moving body MV1, the insulating coating 101b can be stably stripped by the stripping unit 12.

[0081] 8 to 11 , the periods of the clamping states of the clamping units 11, 21, and 31 are merely examples and can be appropriately designed within the periods during which the corresponding moving bodies MV1 to MV3 are moving forward at constant speed. For example, assuming that the conductor wire 101 is continuously transported by the moving bodies MV1 and MV3, the periods of the clamping state of the clamping unit 11 are the periods during which the moving body MV1 is moving forward at constant speed, the periods of the clamping state of the clamping unit 31 are the periods during which the moving body MV3 is moving forward at constant speed, the start of the clamping state of the clamping unit 11 is during the period during which the clamping unit 31 is moving forward at constant speed, the end of the clamping state of the clamping unit 11 is during the period during which the clamping unit 31 is moving forward at constant speed, the start of the clamping state of the clamping unit 31 is during the period during which the clamping unit 11 is moving forward at constant speed, and the end of the clamping state of the clamping unit 31 is during the period during which the clamping unit 11 is moving forward at constant speed.

[0082] Furthermore, for example, assuming that continuous transport of the conductor wire 101 is performed by moving bodies MV2 and MV3, the period in which the clamping state of clamping unit 21 is performed is the period during which moving body MV2 moves forward at a constant speed, the period in which the clamping state of clamping unit 31 is performed is the period during which moving body MV3 moves forward at a constant speed, the start of the clamping state of clamping unit 21 is during the period in which the clamping state of clamping unit 31 is performed, the end of the clamping state of clamping unit 21 is during the period in which the clamping state of clamping unit 31 is performed, the start of the clamping state of clamping unit 31 is during the period in which the clamping state of clamping unit 21 is performed, and the end of the clamping state of clamping unit 31 is during the period in which the clamping state of clamping unit 21 is performed.

[0083] Sixth Embodiment In order to change the length of the conductor component 102, it is necessary to change the pitch of the stripping target portions of the conductor wire material 101, and to do so, it is necessary to change the relative distance in the Y direction between the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 during the forward movement. Therefore, the relative distance in the Y direction between the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 during the forward movement may be changed by changing the movement condition of one of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 under the control of the control circuit 5.

[0084] 12 shows an example of control. State ST11 shows the stage immediately before the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 switch from forward movement to backward movement. The clamping units 11 and 21 are in the released state, and the peeling units 12 and 22 are in the retracted state. State ST12 shows the backward movement of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 when no pitch change is performed, and shows a stage similar to state ST7 in FIG. 7.

[0085] A state ST12' shows the return movement of the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 when a pitch change is made, and the movement conditions of the moving body MV1 are changed.

[0086] Specifically, the moving speed of the moving body MV1 during the return movement is set slower than that of the moving body MV2. As a result, the moving distance of the moving body MV1 during the return movement is shorter than the moving distance of the moving body MV2, and the relative distance between the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 at the start of the forward movement can be made shorter by the distance D compared to the example of state ST12. As a result, the pitch of the stripping target portions of the conductor wire 101 is made shorter by the distance D compared to state ST12.

[0087] Thereafter, at the timing when the stripping target portion with the changed pitch is to be clamped, the moving distance of the moving body MV3 is changed, and the clamping unit 31 clamps the stripping target portion with the changed pitch, and the cutting unit 32 cuts the conductor wire material 101. This produces a conductor wire component 102 whose length is shorter by D than in state ST12.

[0088] 12, a manufacturing method of the conductor wire component 102 in which the predetermined length is shortened is described, but it is also possible to lengthen the predetermined length. In this case, the moving speed of the moving body MV1 during the return movement is faster than that of the moving body MV2. In addition to the moving speed during the return movement, other moving conditions may be changed, such as shifting the timing at which the return movement starts or ends.

[0089] Seventh Embodiment In the first embodiment, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are provided with the moving units 15 and 25, respectively. However, a single moving unit 15 may be used to move both the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 back and forth.

[0090] An example is shown in Figure 13. In the example of Figure 13, moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are supported by a common support member 40. The support member 40 is placed on two rail members 3b so as to straddle them, and has sliders that engage with the rail members 3b and slide on the rail members 3b. The gripping units 11 and 21 and the peeling units 12 and 22 are mounted on the support member 40, and all of them move integrally in the Y direction.

[0091] In this embodiment, the ball nut 15d of the moving unit 15 shown in Fig. 2 is fixed to the support member 40, and the moving unit 15 reciprocates the support member 40. This allows the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 to reciprocate. Therefore, the moving unit 25 shown in Fig. 2 is not necessary.

[0092] On the other hand, as described in the sixth embodiment, in order to change the length of the conductor wire component 102, it is necessary to change the pitch of the stripping target portions of the conductor wire material 101, and to do so, it is necessary to change the relative distance in the Y direction between the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 during forward movement. In this embodiment, the relative distance can be changed by a changing unit 25'. The configuration thereof will be described.

[0093] The moving body MV1 has a base member 10' equivalent to the base member 10. Unlike the base member 10, the base member 10' does not have a slider and is fixed to the support member 40. The moving body MV2 has a base member 20' equivalent to the base member 20. Unlike the base member 20, the base member 20' has a slider that engages with a rail member 41 provided on the support member 40 and slides on the rail member 41. The rail member 41 extends in the Y direction, and the moving body MV2 is capable of relative displacement in the Y direction with respect to the moving body MV1.

[0094] The change unit 25' is a unit that displaces the moving body MV2 in the Y direction on the rail member 41, and is, for example, an electric cylinder equipped with a numerically controllable drive mechanism. The change unit 25' is fixed to the support member 40, and its movable part (a rod part in the case of a cylinder) is connected to the base member 20'.

[0095] Figure 13 shows an example of displacement of moving body MV2 by change unit 25', where state ST21 shows a state in which the relative distance between moving body MV1 and moving body MV2 is relatively long, and state ST22 shows a state in which the relative distance between moving body MV1 and moving body MV2 is relatively short.

[0096] In this manner, in this embodiment, the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 are moved by the common moving unit 15, and the relative distance between the moving bodies MV1 and MV2 in the Y direction can be changed by the changing unit 25'.

[0097] Eighth Embodiment To facilitate cutting of the conductor wire 101 by the cutting unit 32, an incision may be formed in the peeling target portion 101 c of the conductor wire 101 by the peeling unit 12 or the peeling unit 22. Fig. 14 shows one example. In the illustrated example, the incision is formed by the peeling unit 22, but the incision may be formed by the peeling unit 12, or both the peeling units 12 and 22 may form an incision.

[0098] States ST31-1 and ST31-2 in Figure 14 show examples of the operation of a stripping unit 22' that replaces the stripping unit 22. The stripping unit 22' has not only a pair of blades 22c, 22c but also cutting blades 22e, 22e. The cutting blade 22e is provided at a position (e.g., a midpoint in the Y direction) between blade members 22a that are formed with dimensions equivalent to the length L2 of the stripping target portion 101c in the Y direction. When the stripping unit 22' changes to the stripping state, the insulating coating 101b is stripped from the upper and lower side surfaces of the conductor 101, and the cutting blades 22c bite into the stripping target portion 101c of the conductor 101, forming notches NT on the upper and lower side surfaces of the conductor 101a.

[0099] States ST32-1 and ST32-2 in Figure 14 show examples of the operation of the cutting unit 32. The configuration of the cutting unit 32 itself is the same as in the first embodiment. The conductor wire 101 has notches NT formed on the top and bottom sides by the peeling unit 22'. When the cutting unit 32 changes to the cutting state, the cutting blade 32c bites into the notches NT, allowing the conductor wire 101 to be cut more smoothly.

[0100] In this embodiment, notches are formed on the top and bottom side surfaces, but notches may also be formed on the side surfaces in the X-axis direction of the conductor wire 101. In this case, the cross section of the cutting portion becomes even smaller, allowing the conductor wire 101 to be cut more smoothly.

[0101] In the first embodiment, the moving body MV1 is provided with the pair of clamping units 11 and the peeling unit 12, each having the drive units 13 and 14, but a single drive unit may be shared. An example of this is shown in FIG.

[0102] In the illustrated example, two clamping members 11a and a blade member 12a are supported on a support member 16, and the states of the pair of clamping units 11 and the peeling unit 12 are changed by displacing the support member 16 with a single drive unit 14. When the support member 16 is lowered, the clamping unit 11 changes to a clamping state and the peeling unit 12 changes to a peeling state, and when the support member 16 is raised, the clamping unit 11 changes to a released state and the peeling unit 12 changes to a retracted state.

[0103] When the support member 16 is lowered, it is preferable that the clamping portion 11 changes to the clamping state before the peeling portion 12 changes to the peeling state, but if this is done, the descent of the support member 16 may stop before the peeling portion 12 changes to the peeling state. For this reason, an elastic member 11c is provided between the support member 16 and the clamping member 11a.

[0104] As a result, when the support member 16 is lowered, the clamping portion 11 changes to the clamping state, the elastic member 11c elastically deforms (compresses), and the peeling portion 12 changes to the peeling state.

[0105] Similarly, for the moving body MV2, one drive unit may be shared by the clamping unit 21 and the peeling unit 22, and similarly, for the moving body MV3, one drive unit may be shared by the clamping unit 31 and the cutting unit 32. Alternatively, a pair of clamping units may be operated by one drive unit, and the peeling unit and the cutting unit may each be operated by a separate drive unit.

[0106] Although the embodiments of the invention have been described above, the invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications and changes are possible within the scope of the gist of the invention.
