[0012] Hereinafter, each embodiment of the present disclosure will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the drawings and specific configurations used in each embodiment should not be used to interpret the disclosure. The same or corresponding configurations in all drawings will be assigned the same reference numerals, and common descriptions will be omitted.

[0013] First Embodiment A first embodiment according to the present disclosure will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 8. FIG.

[0014] (Configuration of Output System) As shown in FIG. 1 , the output system 10B includes a power storage system 1, a charge / discharge control device 2B, a power generation system 4, a power grid 5, and a command unit 6. The output system 10B is a system that takes into account the price of selling electricity to the power grid and charges / discharges a battery when certain requirements are met. The power storage system 1 includes a current converter 11 and a battery 12. The current converter 11 converts power from the power grid 5. For example, the current converter 11 is a power conditioner that converts DC power or AC power from the power grid 5 into DC power and supplies it to the battery 12. The current converter 11 converts DC power received from the battery 12 into DC power or AC power that can be handled by the power grid 5 and supplies it to the power grid 5. The current converter 11 may also convert power input from the power grid 5 to the battery 12. The battery 12 is a storage battery that can charge and discharge power. For example, the battery 12 is a lithium-ion battery. The battery 12 may be a single cell or a battery pack. For example, if the capacity and voltage of a lithium-ion battery cell are small, the cells may be connected in series or in parallel to form a battery group, and this may be used in accordance with the specifications of the power conversion unit. The power generation system 4 includes a power generation unit that generates power using natural energy (e.g., solar, hydroelectric, or wind power) and a power conditioner that converts the output DC power or AC power into DC power or AC power that can be handled by the power grid 5. The power grid 5 exchanges power with the battery 12 via a current conversion unit 11. The command unit 6 transmits various signals to the charge / discharge control device 2. The command unit 6 transmits the requested input / output to the power grid 5, the requested time, and the power selling price to the charge / discharge control device 2B.

[0015] (Configuration of the charge / discharge control device) Fig. 2 is a block diagram showing the functional configuration of the charge / discharge control device according to the first embodiment. As shown in Fig. 2, the charge / discharge control device 2B includes a processor 21B, a memory 22, a storage 23, a communication interface 24, a display device 25, and an input device 26.

[0016] By operating in accordance with a predetermined program, processor 21B performs the functions of a charge / discharge control unit 211, a request acquisition unit 212, a predicted full charge capacity calculation unit 213, a full charge capacity determination unit 214, a predicted income calculation unit 2151, an income determination unit 2152, an output measurement unit 218, and a memory unit 219.

[0017] The charge / discharge control unit 211 controls the charging and discharging of the battery within the standard usage range. When certain requirements are met, the charge / discharge control unit 211 refers to the additional usage range and controls the charging and discharging of the battery. Here, the "standard usage range" and the "additional usage range" will be explained in detail with reference to FIG. 3.

[0018] (Standard Usage Range and Additional Usage Range) As shown in Fig. 3, the standard usage range is a range set so that the battery 12 meets a target battery life. For example, in the present disclosure, the standard usage range is a range set so that the battery 12 meets a battery life of 10 years. In this embodiment, the standard usage range is mainly set for the charge / discharge current of the battery 12. For example, in the standard usage range where the charge / discharge current is in the range of O-X, the battery life determined when the battery 12 is charged / discharged for a certain period of time at a constant charge / discharge current value X is X. y The larger the charge / discharge current, the shorter the battery life determined when charging / discharging at a constant charge / discharge current, as shown by the curve. y is the battery life that takes the smallest value within the standard operating range and is designed to meet the target battery life (10 years). The battery life α determined by the value of the charge / discharge current α (α<X) y In this case, the battery life increases as the charge / discharge current value approaches O from α. The additional use range, where the charge / discharge current is in the range of X-Z, exceeds the standard use range. If the charge / discharge current is increased beyond the standard use range, the battery life Y y、 Z yAs shown in the figure, the battery life will fall short of the target battery life. However, battery life is determined when charging and discharging are performed at a constant charging and discharging current for a certain period of time, and it is believed that temporary charging and discharging within the additional usage range will not significantly change the battery life along the curve. The additional usage range is created by an operator based on experiments or empirical formulas, etc., and stored in the memory unit 219. The unusable range is a range that is inconvenient for the battery life of the battery 12. In this embodiment, the standard usage range is mainly set for the charging and discharging current of the battery 12. The additional usage range is a set range that exceeds the standard usage range. The additional usage range is predicted by an operator based on experiments or empirical formulas, etc., and stored in the memory unit 219. When predetermined requirements are met, the charging and discharging control unit 211 references the additional usage range stored in the memory unit 219 and controls the charging and discharging of the battery.

[0019] The request acquisition unit 212 acquires the requested input / output to the power grid 5, the requested time, and the electricity selling price. The request acquisition unit 212 receives and transmits various signals to and from the command unit 6 via the communication interface 24. For example, in the requested input / output, the requested output is the output value required for the power supplied to the power grid 5, and the requested input is the negawatts resulting from charging input from the power grid 5 to the battery 12 via the power conversion unit 11. For example, charging can be prioritized over discharging, assuming that the electricity fee obtained by inputting (charging) the requested input for each operating time within the requested time range and multiplying it by the predicted future electricity selling price will exceed the target revenue line (described below). The charge / discharge control device 2B of the present disclosure can appropriately select whether to discharge electricity at the time to earn revenue or to charge electricity to prepare for a large amount of discharge in the future. For example, the requested time is the time required to supply electricity to the power grid 5. For example, the electricity selling price is the price per kWh when selling electricity to an electric power company. The energy fee is calculated by multiplying the requested input / output, the requested time, and the electricity selling price. The requested input / output, the requested time, and the electricity selling price acquired by the request acquisition unit 212 are stored in the storage unit 219. In this disclosure, the term "requested time" means "the time required to supply power to the power grid 5" or "the number of cycles required to supply power to the power grid 5." For example, the number of cycles is applied to the operating distance of a vehicle or a ship, or to equipment operated per operating cycle, and is used for batteries 12 that require high-speed operation within a certain period of time.

[0020] The predicted full charge capacity calculation unit 213 calculates the current predicted full charge capacity. The current predicted full charge capacity is the full charge capacity of the battery 12 that is expected to change over a required time period when the battery 12 is charged and discharged beyond the standard operating range in order to satisfy the required input / output and required time period. Note that the full charge capacity in this disclosure varies depending on the SOH (State of Health). The full charge capacity is the capacity ratio of the battery 12 before and after deterioration due to aging or various other factors, and refers to the full charge capacity of the battery 12 after deterioration, where the full charge capacity before deterioration is 100%. If the full charge capacity of the initial state of the battery 12 being used is defined as the initial full charge capacity, the full charge capacity can be calculated using the following formula (1): Full charge capacity [Ah] = Initial full charge capacity [Ah] × (SOH [%] / 100) (1) The state of charge (hereinafter referred to as SOC), described below, is an index representing the state of charge of the battery 12. A fully charged state is expressed as 100% and a fully discharged state is expressed as 0%. If the remaining capacity is the fully charged capacity of the battery 12 after charging and discharging, the SOC can be calculated by the following formula (2): SOC [%] = remaining capacity [Ah] / fully charged capacity [Ah] × 100% (2)

[0021] The full charge capacity determination unit 214 determines whether the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line. The "target full charge capacity line" will now be described in detail with reference to FIG. 4 . The target full charge capacity line is information that defines a target full charge capacity for each operating time. The target full charge capacity line is set so as to satisfy the target revenue line, described below, within the required time. The target full charge capacity line is stored in the storage unit 219 and is read out during the determination by the full charge capacity determination unit 214. As shown in FIG. 4 , the operator creates a target full charge capacity line that defines a target full charge capacity of the battery 12 in advance so as to satisfy the target revenue line. The full charge capacity determination unit 214 determines whether the current predicted full charge capacity, which is expected to change as a result of charging and discharging within the required time (t1-t2), exceeds the target full charge capacity line. In the determination of the current predicted full charge capacity in the present disclosure, the current predicted full charge capacity is determined to be higher if it exceeds the target full charge capacity line even partially. For example, let L1 represent the current predicted full charge capacity that changes within the requested time range (t1-t2). If PU is the full charge capacity at time t1 and PL1 is the full charge capacity at time t2, then both PU and PL1 exceed the target full charge capacity line. Therefore, the current predicted full charge capacity represented by L1 exceeds the target full charge capacity line. On the other hand, let L1 represent the current predicted full charge capacity that changes within the requested time range (t1-t2). If PU is the full charge capacity at time t1 and PL2 is the full charge capacity at time t2, then PU exceeds the target full charge capacity line, but PL2 falls below it. Therefore, the current predicted full charge capacity represented by L2 partially exceeds the target full charge capacity line. In this case, if the charge / discharge control device 2B refers to the additional usage range, performs discharge control, and performs an operation to obtain income, the actual full charge capacity from t1 onwards will follow L2 and fall below the target full charge capacity line. However, if it is determined that the current predicted income, which will be described later, exceeds the target income line, it is acceptable for the actual full charge capacity after t1 to fall below the target full charge capacity line. The determination by the full charge capacity determination unit 214 differs depending on the requested input / output acquired by the request acquisition unit 212. For example, when a requested output is acquired, the full charge capacity determination unit 214 determines whether the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line, even if only partially. If the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line, even if only partially, the charge / discharge control unit 2B refers to the additional usage range, performs discharge control, and performs an operation to obtain income. If the current predicted full charge capacity falls below the target full charge capacity line, the charge / discharge control unit 2B performs charging / discharging within the standard usage range. On the other hand, when a requested input is acquired, the full charge capacity determination unit 214 determines whether the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line, even if only partially. If the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line, even partially, the charge / discharge control unit 2B refers to the additional usage range, performs charge control, and performs charging. If the current predicted full charge capacity is below the target full charge capacity line, the charge / discharge control device 2B performs charging / discharging within the standard usage range. In addition, when a request input is used, the charge / discharge control unit 211 can prioritize charging over discharging, assuming that the aforementioned power fee will exceed the target revenue line in the future.

[0022] The predicted income calculation unit 2151 calculates the current predicted income. The current predicted income is the income that is predicted to be obtained based on the required input / output, required time, and electricity selling price when the battery 12 is charged / discharged beyond the standard usage range to satisfy the required input / output and required time. Furthermore, the income that is predicted to be obtained based on the required input, required time, and electricity selling price is the income expected in the future, with a certain margin from the time of prediction.

[0023] The income determination unit 2152 determines whether the current forecast income exceeds the target income line. Here, the "target income line" will be described in detail with reference to FIG. 5. The target income line is information that defines a target income for each operating time. The target income line is stored in the memory unit 219 and is read out when the income determination unit 2152 makes a determination. The target income line is set as appropriate. For example, the target income line may be information that determines a target income that is highly feasible and that accelerates investment recovery within the operating time, based on statistics on the lifespans of a wide variety of batteries. The operator creates a target income line in advance, as shown in FIG. 5. The income determination unit 2152 determines whether the current forecast income (electricity fee) obtained by multiplying the amount of electricity obtained by outputting the required output for each operating time within the required time (t1-t2) by the electricity selling price exceeds the target income line. Furthermore, when request input is used, the income determination unit 2152 determines whether the electricity fee obtained by multiplying the amount of electricity obtained by inputting (charging) the request input for each operating time within the request time range by the predicted electricity selling price exceeds the target income line. The income determination unit 2152 further determines whether the electricity selling price satisfies the target price. The target price for the electricity selling price is stored in the memory unit 219 and is read out when the income determination unit 2152 makes a determination.

[0024] The output measurement unit 218 includes a measurement sensor 218m. As shown in FIG. 1 , the measurement sensor 218m is disposed between the current conversion unit 11 and the battery 12. The measurement sensor 218m measures the voltage value applied by the battery 12 and the current value flowing between the battery 12 and the current conversion unit 11. The output measurement unit 218 calculates the power and amount of power of the battery 12 from the measured current and voltage values. For example, the voltage and current values measured by the measurement sensor 218m are stored in the memory unit 219. For example, the power and amount of power calculated by the output measurement unit 218 are stored in the memory unit 219.

[0025] The storage unit 219 stores the acquired requested input / output, requested time, and electricity selling price. The storage unit 219 stores an additional usage range beyond the standard usage range. The storage unit 219 stores a target income line and a target full charge capacity line. The storage unit 219 stores a target electricity selling price.

[0026] The predetermined program executed by processor 21B is stored on a computer-readable recording medium. Computer-readable recording media include magnetic disks, optical magnetic disks, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, and semiconductor memories. This computer program may be distributed to a computer via a communication line, and the computer that receives the distribution may execute the program. This program may also be a program for implementing some of the above-described functions. Furthermore, this program may be a so-called differential file (differential program) that can realize the above-described functions in combination with a program already stored in the computer system.

[0027] The memory 22 has a memory area necessary for the operation of the processor 21B.

[0028] The storage 23 is a so-called auxiliary storage device, such as a hard disk drive (HDD) or a solid state drive (SSD).

[0029] The communication interface 24 is an interface for receiving various signals from an external device (command center 6).

[0030] The display device 25 is a display device, such as a liquid crystal display, an organic EL display, etc. For example, the display device 25 may display information such as requested input / output, requested time, or electricity selling price obtained from the command unit 6, or the determination of the full charge capacity determination unit 214 or the determination of the income determination unit 2152.

[0031] The input device 26 is an input device that accepts user operations of the charge / discharge control device 2B (or the charge / discharge control device 2C, charge / discharge control device 2D, and charge / discharge control device 2A described below), and is, for example, a general mouse, keyboard, touch sensor, etc.

[0032] (Charge / Discharge Control Method) A charge / discharge control method according to this embodiment will be described. The charge / discharge control method according to this embodiment is carried out according to the flow shown in FIG.

[0033] (Overview of Processing Related to the Charge / Discharge Control Unit) In the first embodiment of the present disclosure, after performing a predetermined process, if the current predicted income exceeds the target income line (ST15: YES) and the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16: YES), the charge / discharge control unit 211 controls the charge / discharge of the battery 12 beyond the standard usage range (ST17). Each step is described below.

[0034] First, the charge / discharge control unit 211 of the charge / discharge control device 2B controls the charge / discharge of the battery within the standard use range (ST11). The standard use range is a range set so that the battery 12 meets a target battery life. In this embodiment, the standard use range is set mainly for the charge / discharge current of the battery 12. If the charge / discharge control unit 211 subsequently meets certain requirements, it references the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219 and controls the charge / discharge of the battery.

[0035] Next, the request acquisition unit 212 of the charge / discharge control device 2B acquires the requested input / output to the power grid 5, the requested time, and the electricity selling price (ST12). The request acquisition unit 212 receives various signals from the command unit 6 via the communication interface 24. The requested input / output, the requested time, and the electricity selling price acquired by the request acquisition unit 212 are stored in the storage unit 219.

[0036] Next, the predicted income calculation unit 2151 of the charge / discharge control device 2B calculates the current predicted income (ST13). The current predicted income is the income that is expected to be obtained based on the required input / output, required time, and electricity selling price.

[0037] Next, the predicted full charge capacity calculation unit 213 of the charge / discharge control device 2B calculates the current predicted full charge capacity (ST14). The current predicted full charge capacity is the full charge capacity of the battery 12 that is expected to change over the required time when the battery 12 is charged / discharged beyond the standard usage range in order to satisfy the required input / output and required time.

[0038] Next, the income determination unit 2152 of the charge / discharge control device 2B determines whether the calculated current predicted income exceeds the target income line (ST15). The target income line is information that defines a target income for each operating time. The target income line is set as appropriate. For example, the target income line may be information that is determined based on statistics on the lifespans of a wide variety of batteries and that is the most likely to be realized and that allows for faster investment recovery within the operating time. The target income line is stored in the memory unit 219 and is read out when the income determination unit 2152 makes a determination. If the income determination unit 2152 determines that the current predicted income exceeds the target income line (ST15: YES), it proceeds to processing ST16. If the income determination unit 2152 determines that the current predicted income does not exceed the target income line (ST15: NO), it returns to processing ST11.

[0039] Next, the full charge capacity determination unit 214 of the charge / discharge control device 2B determines whether the calculated current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16). As described above, in the determination of the current predicted full charge capacity in the present disclosure, the current predicted full charge capacity is determined to exceed the target full charge capacity line if it exceeds the target full charge capacity line even partially. The target full charge capacity line is information that defines a target full charge capacity for each operating time. The target full charge capacity line is set so as to satisfy the target revenue line (described later) within the required time. The target full charge capacity line is stored in the memory unit 219 and is read out when the full charge capacity determination unit 214 makes a determination. If the full charge capacity determination unit 214 determines that the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16: YES), the process proceeds to ST17. If the full charge capacity determination unit 214 determines that the current predicted full charge capacity does not exceed the target full charge capacity line (ST16: NO), the process returns to ST11. As described above, the determination made by the full charge capacity determination unit 214 differs depending on the request input / output acquired by the request acquisition unit 212 .

[0040] Next, if the current predicted income exceeds the target income line (ST15: YES) and the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16: YES), the charge / discharge control unit 211 of the charge / discharge control device 2B controls the charge / discharge of the battery 12 within an additional usage range that exceeds the standard usage range (ST17). Furthermore, if the required input is used instead of the required output, the charge / discharge control unit 211 can prioritize charging over discharging, anticipating that the aforementioned power fee will exceed the target income line in the future. Here, the charge / discharge control of the battery 12 is performed within the additional usage range stored in the memory unit 219. (Complete)

[0041] (Operations and Effects) According to the charge / discharge control device 2B of this embodiment, when predetermined requirements are met, it is possible to refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219 and control the charge / discharge of the battery 12. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2B of this embodiment can respond to requested input / output.

[0042] Second Embodiment A charge / discharge control device and a charge / discharge control method according to a second embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to Figures 7 to 12. Components common to the first embodiment will be assigned the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0043] 7 , the output system 10C includes a power storage system 1, a charge / discharge control device 2C, a power generation system 4, a power grid 5, and a command unit 6. The output system 10C includes a charge / discharge control device 2C that adds some functions to the charge / discharge control device 2B.

[0044] (Configuration of Charge / Discharge Control System) As shown in FIG. 8, the charge / discharge control device 2C includes a processor 21C, a memory 22, a storage 23, a communication interface 24, a display device 25, and an input device 26.

[0045] For example, in the second embodiment of the present disclosure, the processor 21C may operate according to a predetermined program, thereby fulfilling the functions of the processor 21B as well as the functions of the temperature control unit 2161 and the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162. For example, in the second embodiment of the present disclosure, the processing according to this embodiment may be performed independently of the processing performed in the first embodiment described above.

[0046] The temperature control unit 2161 controls the temperature of the battery 12 so that it falls within a predetermined temperature range. For example, the predetermined temperature range is a temperature range that is set to satisfy a target battery life. As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8 , the temperature control unit 2161 includes a temperature measuring unit 2161m and a temperature adjusting unit 2161tc. The temperature measuring unit 2161m measures the temperature of the battery 12C. The temperature adjusting unit 2161tc is a fan, ribbon heater, or air conditioning. When predetermined requirements are met, the temperature control unit 2161 controls the operation of the temperature adjusting unit 2161tc, thereby allowing the temperature control unit 2161 to control the temperature of the battery 12 beyond the predetermined temperature range.

[0047] The SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 acquires the voltage value of the battery 12C, which is controlled within the operating range, from the memory unit 219. The SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 also calculates the SOC value using information such as the voltage, current, temperature, full charge capacity, and the relationship between voltage and state of charge (SOC) of the battery 12C, and determines whether the voltage value exceeds the operating range based on the SOC value. In the present disclosure, since voltage fluctuates instantaneously, the voltage value is determined based on the SOC value, which changes less rapidly than voltage. Additionally, the memory unit 219 stores information such as the full charge capacity of the battery 12C and the relationship between voltage and SOC.

[0048] (Operating Range) Here, the "operating range" will be described in detail with reference to Figures 9 to 11. Battery charging and discharging can be explained using either current or power. Here, to facilitate explanation using diagrams using SOC (battery state of charge), charging and discharging of current will be described. Resistance values have DC and AC components, but for simplicity, only the DC component will be described. When charge / discharge control is performed on a battery in a battery open-circuit voltage state, the voltage value changes from the battery open-circuit voltage of the battery 12. As shown in Figure 9, the voltage increases (decreases) by the product of the current value i during charging (discharging) and the internal resistance value R of the battery 12, and charging (discharging) ends when the battery reaches the upper limit voltage (lower limit voltage). In Figure 9, the operating temperature of the battery 12 is constant. The SOC of the battery 12 is determined by point A, which is reached when the upper limit voltage of the battery is reached, and point B, which is reached when the lower limit voltage of the battery is reached. In FIG. 10 , it is considered that charging and discharging are performed at a current value within an additional operating range, which is a set range beyond the standard operating range, to satisfy the required input / output. In FIG. 10 , the operating temperature of the battery 12 remains constant. Compared to FIG. 9 , when charging and discharging at a larger current value i′, the voltage further increases (decreases) by the product of the current value i′ and the internal resistance value R of the battery 12. This changes the voltage from point A when the upper battery voltage limit is reached and point B when the lower battery voltage limit is reached in FIG. 9 to point C and point D. The SOC operating range determined by points C and D is narrower than the operating range in FIG. 9 . The charging and discharging in FIG. 10 makes it difficult to satisfy the required input / output and required time. In FIG. 11 , the operating temperature of the battery 12 is increased from the case in FIG. 10 . By increasing the operating temperature of the battery 12, the internal resistance value R′ of the battery 12 can be made sufficiently smaller than in the case in FIG. 10 . This makes it possible to reduce the integrated value of the current value i' and the internal resistance value R' of the battery 12 even when charging and discharging at a large current value i'. As a result, the operating range of the SOC determined by the point E when the battery's upper limit voltage is reached and the point F when the battery's lower limit voltage is reached can be made wider than that shown in Figure 9. It is also possible to control the charging and discharging of the battery within the standard operating range while satisfying the required input and output. However, when satisfying the input / output and time requirements from the command unit 6, it is possible that charging and discharging may be performed within the additional usage range. Therefore, a wide SOC operating range is preferable to satisfy the required amount of power. For example, the operator may set a threshold value for the SOC value in advance. The set SOC value is within the range of the upper and lower battery voltage limits that can be confirmed from the operating range. Based on this threshold value, the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 may determine whether or not the voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range, based on the SOC value.

[0049] (Overview of Processing Related to Temperature Control Unit) In this embodiment, the following processing is performed independently of the processing performed in the first embodiment. After performing a predetermined processing, if the battery 12 satisfies the required input / output, and as a result, the voltage value measured by the measurement sensor 218m is likely to exceed the operating range based on the SOC value (ST25: YES), the temperature control unit 2161 controls the temperature of the battery 12 beyond the predetermined temperature range via the temperature adjustment unit 2161tc (ST27a). Each step is described below.

[0050] (Charge / Discharge Control Method) First, the temperature control unit 2161 of the charge / discharge control device 2C controls the temperature of the battery 12C to be within a predetermined temperature range (ST21). For example, the predetermined temperature range is a temperature range set to satisfy a target battery life.

[0051] Next, the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 of the charge / discharge control device 2C acquires the voltage value of the battery 12 controlled within the operating range from the storage unit 219, and further calculates the SOC value using information such as the voltage, current, and temperature of the battery 12, the full charge capacity of the battery 12C stored in the storage unit 219, and the relationship between voltage and SOC (ST22). Alternatively, the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 may calculate the SOC value using the above-mentioned equation (2).

[0052] Next, the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 of the charge / discharge control device 2C determines, based on the SOC value, whether the SOC value is outside the upper / lower threshold range and whether the acquired voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range (ST25). For example, the operator may set a threshold value for the SOC value in advance. The set SOC value is within the range between the upper and lower battery voltage limits that can be confirmed from the operating range. Based on this threshold value, the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 determines, based on the SOC value, whether the voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range. When the SOC value determination unit 2162 determines, based on the SOC value, that the voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range (ST25: YES), the process proceeds to ST27a. When the SOC value determination unit 2162 determines, based on the SOC value, that the voltage value does not exceed the operating range (ST25: NO), the process returns to ST21. Note that hysteresis may be provided in the threshold value to prevent chattering when switching around the threshold value that determines that the operating range will be exceeded. Alternatively, a table may be created in which the temperature setting value is gradually increased when the SOC value increases or decreases below a threshold value. In this embodiment, the SOC value calculation and the measurement of the voltage value are performed in the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 in an integrated manner, but depending on the operation, a voltage value determination unit may be provided to perform these processes independently.

[0053] Next, the temperature control unit 2161 of the charge / discharge control device 2C controls the temperature of the battery 12 beyond a predetermined temperature range (ST27a). The temperature control unit 2161 controls the operation of the temperature adjustment unit 2161tc, so that the temperature control unit 2161 can control the temperature of the battery 12 beyond the predetermined temperature range.

[0054] (Operations and Effects) According to the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment, when predetermined requirements are met, it is possible to refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219 and control the charge / discharge of the battery 12. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment can respond to required input / output.

[0055] Furthermore, according to the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment, when the SOC value satisfies a predetermined requirement, the temperature control of the battery 12C can be performed beyond a predetermined temperature range. By raising the operating temperature of the battery 12C, the internal resistance value of the battery 12C can be reduced. As a result, even when charging / discharging at a current value within the additional operating range, the integrated value of the current value and the internal resistance value can be reduced, thereby widening the operating range of the SOC. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment is able to easily satisfy the required input / output and the required time. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment can meet the required input / output.

[0056] Third Embodiment A charge / discharge control device and a charge / discharge control method according to a third embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to Figures 13 to 17. Components common to the second embodiment will be assigned the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0057] (Configuration of Output System) As shown in Fig. 13, the output system 10D includes a power storage system 1D, a charge / discharge control device 2D, a power generation system 4, a power grid 5, and a command unit 6. The output system 10D includes a charge / discharge control device 2D that adds some functions to the charge / discharge control device 2C. The power storage system 1D includes a current conversion unit 11 and a battery 12D. The battery 12D is a battery that, due to aging or various other reasons, has an internal resistance value that is higher than the internal resistance value of a battery that has not aged significantly.

[0058] (Configuration of Charge / Discharge Control System) As shown in FIG. 14, the charge / discharge control device 2D includes a processor 21D, a memory 22, a storage 23, a communication interface 24, a display device 25, and an input device 26.

[0059] For example, in the third embodiment of the present disclosure, the processor 21D may operate according to a predetermined program to perform the functions of a temperature control unit 2161D, a resistance value acquisition unit 2171, a target resistance value setting unit 2172, and a storage unit 219D in addition to the functions of the processor 21C. For example, in the third embodiment of the present disclosure, the processing according to this embodiment may be performed independently of the processing performed in the second embodiment described above.

[0060] When predetermined requirements are met, the temperature control unit 2161D controls the temperature of the battery 12D beyond a predetermined temperature range so as to bring the internal resistance value closer to the target resistance value. For example, the operator may set the temperature of the battery 12D when it has the target resistance value in the temperature control unit 2161D. The temperature control unit 2161D controls the temperature of the battery 12D beyond the predetermined temperature range so as to bring the temperature of the battery 12D closer to the temperature when it has the target resistance value.

[0061] The resistance value acquisition unit 2171 acquires the internal resistance value of the battery 12D. For example, the internal resistance value is acquired periodically by measuring the internal resistance value of the battery 12D and stored in the storage unit 219D. In this case, the resistance value acquisition unit 2171 acquires the internal resistance value of the battery 12D from the storage unit 219D.

[0062] The target resistance value setting unit 2172 sets a target resistance value, which is a target internal resistance value of the battery 12D.

[0063] The storage unit 219D stores the internal resistance value of the battery 12 in addition to the information stored in the storage unit 219.

[0064] (Operating range that changes with age or due to various circumstances) Here, the "operating range that changes with age or due to various circumstances" will be described in detail with reference to Figures 9, 15 and 16. The internal resistance value of the battery 12D changes from the internal resistance value R at the time of Figure 9 to the internal resistance value R d In FIG. 15, the operating temperature of the battery 12 is constant. Compared to FIG. 9, the internal resistance R d When charging and discharging, the current value i and the internal resistance value R of the battery 12 are dThe voltage further rises (drops) by the integrated amount of the voltage V. As a result, the voltage changes from the point A when the battery upper limit voltage is reached and the point B when the battery lower limit voltage is reached in FIG. 9 to the point G and the point H. The SOC operating range determined by the point G and the point H becomes narrower than the operating range in FIG. 9. In the charging and discharging in FIG. 15, it is difficult to satisfy the required input / output and the required time. In FIG. 16, it is assumed that the operating temperature of the battery 12 is increased from the case in FIG. 15. By increasing the operating temperature of the battery 12, the internal resistance value R of the battery 12 d The internal resistance R is sufficiently small compared to the case of FIG. r As a result, the increased internal resistance R d Even if the battery 12 is charged and discharged at 1000 W, the temperature of the battery 12 increases, so the current value i and the internal resistance value R of the battery 12 r As a result, the operating range of the SOC determined by the point J when the battery upper limit voltage is reached and the point K when the battery lower limit voltage is reached can be made wider than that shown in FIG.

[0065] (Overview of Processing Related to Temperature Control Unit) In this embodiment, the following processing is performed independently of the processing performed in the first embodiment. The processing according to this embodiment adds ST23, ST24, and ST27b to the processing performed in the second embodiment. After performing the predetermined processing, if the battery 12D satisfies the required input / output and, as a result, the voltage value measured by the measurement sensor 218m based on the SOC value may exceed the operating range (ST25: YES), the temperature control unit 2161D controls the temperature of the battery 12D beyond the predetermined temperature range via the temperature adjustment unit 2161tc so as to bring the internal resistance value closer to the target resistance value (ST27b). Each step is described below.

[0066] First, in ST21 and ST22, the same processing as in the second embodiment is performed.

[0067] Next, the resistance value acquisition unit 2171 of the charge / discharge control device 2D acquires the internal resistance value of the battery 12D (ST23).

[0068] Next, the target resistance value setting unit 2172 of the charge / discharge control device 2D sets a target resistance value (ST24). The target resistance value is a target internal resistance value for the battery 12D.

[0069] Next, the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 of the charge / discharge control device 2D determines, based on the SOC value, whether the SOC value is outside the upper / lower limit threshold range and whether the acquired voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range (ST25). When the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 determines, based on the SOC value, that the voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range (ST25: YES), the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 proceeds to the processing of ST27b. When the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 determines, based on the SOC value, that the voltage value will not exceed the operating range (ST25: NO), the processing returns to the processing of ST21.

[0070] Next, the temperature control unit 2161D of the charge / discharge control device 2D controls the temperature of the battery 12D beyond a predetermined temperature range so as to bring the internal resistance value closer to the target resistance value (ST27b).

[0071] (Operations and Effects) According to the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment, when certain requirements are met, the charge / discharge control device 2D can refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219D and control the charge / discharge of the battery 12D. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment can respond to required input / output.

[0072] Furthermore, according to the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment, when the SOC value meets predetermined requirements, the temperature control of the battery 12D can be performed beyond a predetermined temperature range. By increasing the operating temperature of the battery 12D, the internal resistance of the battery 12D, which has increased over time or due to various factors, can be reduced. This reduces the integrated value of the current value and the internal resistance, even when charging / discharging at a current value within the additional operating range, thereby widening the SOC operating range. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment is more likely to satisfy the required input / output and required time. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment can meet the required input / output.

[0073] Fourth Embodiment A charge / discharge control device and a charge / discharge control method according to the present disclosure will be described below as a fourth embodiment with reference to FIG. 18 . Components common to the third embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted. In this embodiment, the battery 12D is not essential. For example, the battery 12 may be used.

[0074] (Overview of Processing Related to Temperature Control Unit) In this embodiment, the following processing is performed independently of the processing performed in the first embodiment. The processing according to this embodiment adds ST26 to the processing performed in the third embodiment. After performing the predetermined processing, if the battery 12D satisfies the required input / output, and the voltage value measured by the measurement sensor 218m is likely to exceed the operating range based on the SOC value (ST25: YES), and the electricity selling price satisfies the target price (ST26: YES), the temperature control unit 2161D controls the temperature of the battery 12D beyond the predetermined temperature range via the temperature adjustment unit 2161tc so as to bring the internal resistance value closer to the target resistance value (ST27b). Each step is described below.

[0075] First, in ST21 to ST24, the same processes as those in the third embodiment are performed.

[0076] Next, the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 of the charge / discharge control device 2D determines, based on the SOC value, whether the SOC value is outside the upper / lower limit threshold range and whether the acquired voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range (ST25). When the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 determines, based on the SOC value, that the voltage value is likely to exceed the operating range (ST25: YES), the process proceeds to ST26. When the SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 determines, based on the SOC value, that the voltage value will not exceed the operating range (ST25: NO), the process returns to ST21.

[0077] Next, the charge / discharge control device 2D determines whether the electricity selling price satisfies the target price (ST26). For example, in addition to the processing of ST15, the income determination unit 2152 determines whether the electricity selling price satisfies the target price. When the income determination unit 2152 determines that the electricity selling price satisfies the target price (ST26: YES), it proceeds to the processing of ST27b. When the income determination unit 2152 determines that the electricity selling price does not satisfy the target price (ST25: NO), it returns to the processing of ST21.

[0078] Next, the temperature control section 2161D of the charge / discharge control device 2D controls the temperature of the battery 12D beyond a predetermined temperature range so as to bring the internal resistance value closer to the target resistance value (ST27b).

[0079] (Operations and Effects) According to the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment, when certain requirements are met, the charge / discharge control device 2D can refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219D and control the charge / discharge of the battery 12D. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment can respond to required input / output.

[0080] Furthermore, according to the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment, when the SOC value and the electricity selling price satisfy predetermined requirements, the temperature control of the battery 12D can be performed beyond a predetermined temperature range. By increasing the operating temperature of the battery 12D, the internal resistance value of the battery 12 can be reduced, thereby widening the SOC operating range. Furthermore, the income determination unit 2152 can determine whether the electricity selling price satisfies the target price. This allows the temperature control unit 2161D to control the SOC operating range in response to the charge / discharge control of the battery 12D. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment is able to easily satisfy the required input / output and required time. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment can meet the required input / output.

[0081] Fifth Embodiment A charge / discharge control device and a charge / discharge control method according to the fifth embodiment will be described below with reference to Figures 19 to 21. Components common to the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof will be omitted.

[0082] (Configuration of Output System) As shown in Fig. 19 , the output system 10A includes a power storage system 1A, a charge / discharge control device 2A, a power generation system 4A, a power grid 5, and a command unit 6. The output system 10A is a system that takes into account the full charge capacity of a battery 12 relative to the power grid, and charges / discharges the battery when predetermined requirements are met. The power storage system 1A includes a current conversion unit 11A and a battery 12. For example, the current conversion unit 11A is a voltage regulator. For example, the power generation system 4A is an alternator.

[0083] The request acquisition unit 212A acquires the requested input / output to the power grid 5 and the requested time between the command unit 6. The requested input / output and the requested time acquired by the request acquisition unit 212A are stored in the memory unit 219A. In this embodiment, the target full charge capacity line is set according to the requested time. For example, an operator calculates the number of cycles required to supply power to the power grid 5 from the operating distance and operating cycle of the vehicle or ship, and sets the target full charge capacity line according to this number of cycles.

[0084] (Processing Related to the Charge / Discharge Control Unit) In the fifth embodiment of the present disclosure, when the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16: YES), the charge / discharge control unit 211 performs charge / discharge control of the battery 12 beyond the standard usage range (ST17). Each step will be described below.

[0085] First, the charge / discharge control section 211 of the charge / discharge control device 2A controls the charge / discharge of the battery within the standard use range (ST11).

[0086] Next, the request acquisition unit 212 of the charge / discharge control device 2A acquires the requested input / output to and the requested time from the power grid 5 (ST12).

[0087] Next, the predicted full charge capacity calculation unit 213 of the charge / discharge control device 2A calculates the current predicted full charge capacity (ST14).

[0088] Next, the full charge capacity determination unit 214A of the charge / discharge control device 2A determines whether the calculated current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16). Similarly, in this embodiment, when determining the current predicted full charge capacity, the current predicted full charge capacity is determined to exceed the target full charge capacity line if it exceeds the target full charge capacity line even partially. In this embodiment, the target full charge capacity line is set according to the required time. The target full charge capacity line is stored in the storage unit 219A and is read out when the full charge capacity determination unit 214A makes a determination. If the full charge capacity determination unit 214A determines that the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16: YES), the process proceeds to ST17. If the full charge capacity determination unit 214A determines that the current predicted full charge capacity does not exceed the target full charge capacity line (ST16: NO), the process returns to ST11.

[0089] Next, when the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line (ST16: YES), the charge / discharge control unit 211 of the charge / discharge control device 2B controls the charge / discharge of the battery 12 within an additional use range that exceeds the standard use range (ST17). In this embodiment, the charge / discharge control unit 211 may refer to the additional use range in response to a request input from the power grid 5, perform charge control, and charge the energy generated by the power generation system 4A into the battery 12. Thereafter, in response to a request input / output from the power grid 5, the charge / discharge control unit 211 may refer to the additional use range, perform discharge control, and discharge the battery 12. Here, the charge / discharge control of the battery 12 is performed within the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219A. (Complete)

[0090] (Operations and Effects) According to the charge / discharge control device 2A of this embodiment, when certain requirements are met, the charge / discharge control device 2A can refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219A and control the charge / discharge of the battery. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2A of this embodiment can respond to required input / output.

[0091] (Other Embodiments) Although the embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above in detail with reference to the drawings, the specific configuration is not limited to this embodiment, and design changes and the like are also included within the scope of the present disclosure. The order of the steps of the present disclosure can be changed as appropriate. For example, the order of the processing steps of the charge / discharge control method (steps S11 to S14) may be changed. For example, the order of the processing steps of the charge / discharge control method (steps S22 to S24) may be changed.

[0092] For example, in the present disclosure, the acquired requested input / output, requested time, and electricity selling price are stored in the storage unit 219, but instead of the storage unit 219, they may be stored in a non-volatile memory.

[0093] For example, in the present disclosure, the acquired requested input / output, requested time, and electricity selling price are stored in the memory unit 219, but they may be stored in a storage device instead of the memory unit 219.

[0094] For example, in the present embodiment, the internal resistance value is periodically obtained by measuring the internal resistance value of the battery 12D at regular intervals, but the internal resistance value may also be obtained in real time.

[0095] For example, in the present disclosure, the battery 12 (battery 12D) may have multiple cells. In this case, the processing of the present disclosure is performed on a target cell from among the multiple cells.

[0096] In the present disclosure, the remaining battery capacity [Ah], which has a correlation with the SOC, may be used instead of the SOC [%].

[0097] In the present disclosure, the standard usage range is a range set so that the battery 12 satisfies a ten-year battery life, and is set for the charge / discharge current. For example, as a modified example, the standard usage range may be set for the operating temperature, upper limit voltage, and lower limit voltage of the battery 12, as shown in Figures 22 to 24. Furthermore, charge / discharge control may be performed using the charge / discharge current, operating temperature, upper limit voltage, or lower limit voltage to which the standard usage range is applied. For example, an additional usage range may be set in a similar manner and used for charge / discharge control.

[0098] Although an embodiment of the present disclosure has been described above, this embodiment is shown by way of example and is not intended to limit the scope of the disclosure. This embodiment can be implemented in various other forms, and various omissions, substitutions, and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present disclosure. This embodiment and its modifications are considered to be within the scope and spirit of the present disclosure, as well as within the scope of the present disclosure and its equivalents.

[0099] <Additional Notes> The charge / discharge control device described in each embodiment can be understood, for example, as follows.

[0100] (1) A charge / discharge control device 2A according to the first aspect includes a charge / discharge control unit 211 that controls charging and discharging of the battery within a standard usage range; a request acquisition unit 212A that acquires required input / output to the power grid and required time; a predicted full charge capacity calculation unit 213 that calculates a current predicted full charge capacity, which is the full charge capacity of the battery that is expected to change with the required time, when the battery is charged or discharged beyond the standard usage range to satisfy the required input / output and required time; and a full charge capacity determination unit 214A that determines whether the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds a target full charge capacity line, which is information that defines a target full charge capacity for each operating time. When the current predicted full charge capacity exceeds the target full charge capacity line, the charge / discharge control unit controls charging and discharging of the battery beyond the standard usage range.

[0101] According to the charge / discharge control device 2A of the first aspect, when a predetermined condition is met, the charge / discharge control device 2A can refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219A and control the charge / discharge of the battery. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2A of this embodiment can respond to the required input / output.

[0102] (2) The charge / discharge control device 2B of the second aspect is the charge / discharge control device 2A of (1), wherein the request acquisition unit 212B further acquires the electricity selling price, and further includes a predicted income calculation unit 2151 that calculates the current predicted income, which is the income expected to be obtained based on the required input / output, required time, and electricity selling price, when the battery is charged / discharged beyond the standard usage range to satisfy the required input / output and required time, and an income determination unit 2152 that determines whether the current predicted income exceeds the target income line, which is information that sets the target income for each operating time, and the charge / discharge control unit 211 further controls the charge / discharge of the battery 12 beyond the standard usage range when the current predicted income exceeds the target income line.

[0103] According to the charge / discharge control device 2B of the second aspect, when a predetermined requirement is met, it is possible to control the charge / discharge of the battery by referring to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2B of this embodiment can respond to the required input / output.

[0104] (3) The charge / discharge control device 2C according to the third aspect is the charge / discharge control device 2B of (2), and further includes a temperature control unit 2161 that controls the temperature of the battery 12C so that it is within a predetermined temperature range, and an SOC value calculation / determination unit 2162 that acquires the voltage value of the battery 12C that is controlled within the operating range and determines, based on the SOC value, whether or not there is a possibility that the voltage value will exceed the operating range. When the battery 12C satisfies the required input / output and there is a possibility that the voltage value will exceed the operating range, the temperature control unit 2161 controls the temperature of the battery 12C beyond the predetermined temperature range.

[0105] According to the charge / discharge control device 2C of the third aspect, when a predetermined requirement is satisfied, the charge / discharge control device 2C can control the charge / discharge of the battery 12C by referring to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment can meet the required input / output.

[0106] Furthermore, according to the charge / discharge control device 2C of the third aspect, when the SOC value satisfies a predetermined requirement, the temperature control of the battery 12 can be performed beyond a predetermined temperature range. By increasing the operating temperature of the battery 12, the internal resistance value of the battery 12 can be reduced.

[0107] (4) A charge / discharge control device 2D according to a fourth aspect is the charge / discharge control device 2C of (3), and further includes a resistance value acquisition unit 2171 that acquires the internal resistance value of the battery, and a target resistance value setting unit 2172 that sets a target resistance value that is the internal resistance value targeted by the battery 12D, and the temperature control unit 2161D further controls the temperature of the battery so as to bring the internal resistance value of the battery 12D closer to the target resistance value when there is a possibility that the voltage value will exceed the operable range.

[0108] According to the charge / discharge control device 2D of the fourth aspect, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, the charge / discharge control device 2D can refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219D and control the charge / discharge of the battery 12D. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment can respond to the required input / output.

[0109] Furthermore, according to the charge / discharge control device 2D of the fourth aspect, when the SOC value satisfies a predetermined requirement, the temperature control of the battery 12D can be performed beyond a predetermined temperature range.

[0110] (5) A charge / discharge control device 2D according to a fifth aspect is the charge / discharge control device 2D of (4), in which the temperature control unit further controls the temperature of the battery when the electricity selling price satisfies a target price.

[0111] According to the charge / discharge control device 2D of the fifth aspect, when a predetermined condition is satisfied, the charge / discharge control device 2D can refer to the additional use range stored in the memory unit 219D and control the charge / discharge of the battery 12D. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2D of this embodiment can respond to the required input / output.

[0112] Furthermore, according to the charge / discharge control device 2D of the fifth aspect, when the SOC value and the electricity selling price satisfy predetermined requirements, the temperature control of the battery 12D can be performed beyond a predetermined temperature range. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment is more likely to satisfy the required input / output and required time. Therefore, the charge / discharge control device 2C of this embodiment can meet the required input / output.

[0113] According to the above-described aspect, it is possible to respond to requested input and output.
