[0021] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[0022] As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 , the biometric information detection device 1 according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure includes a main body 3 having a vibration sensor 3a that acquires vibrations (sounds) from a living body 2, such as a human body (subject) whose biometric information is to be detected, and detects biometric information (such as heart sound information or cardiac function information) based on the vibrations; and an attachment unit 4 having a substrate 4a that can be attached to the main body 3 and detached from the main body 3 and attached to the body surface 2a of the living body 2 by adhesive, and a vibration transmission material 4b (a hard material such as metal or hard resin) held by the substrate 4a. When the substrate 4a is attached to the main body 3 and the body surface 2a, the vibration transmission material 4b contacts the body surface 2a and transmits vibrations from the body surface 2a to the vibration sensor 3a. Vibration-based cardiac sound information includes sounds (vibrations) from the heart, such as heart sounds and apical beats, as well as heart rate, heart rate variability, and phonocardiograms detected based on the sounds from the heart. Vibration-based cardiac function information includes, for example, a pulse waveform detected based on sounds (vibrations) from the pulse.
[0023] According to the above-mentioned configuration, vibrations emitted from the living body 2 through the body surface 2a can be transmitted to the vibration sensor 3a via the vibration transmitting material 4b while suppressing attenuation by the adhesive material 4a3 of the base material 4a, so that biological information based on the vibrations can be accurately detected. Furthermore, since the attachment part 4 can be attached and detached to the main body part 3, the attachment part 4 can be replaced after each use and the main body part 3 can be reused, making it possible to use it hygienically and economically.
[0024] The vibration transmission material 4b has a body surface contact surface 4b1 that contacts the body surface 2a when worn, and a vibration sensor contact surface 4b2 that contacts the vibration sensor 3a when worn. FIG. 1 is a side view of the biometric information detection device 1 in a worn state according to the first embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 1, the vibration transmission material 4b held on the substrate 4a contacts the vibration sensor 3a of the main body 3 at the vibration sensor contact surface 4b2. This configuration can further suppress vibration attenuation. In this embodiment, the area of the vibration sensor contact surface 4b2 of the vibration transmission material 4b is the same as the area of the vibration sensor 3a on the body surface 2a side, but the area of the vibration sensor contact surface 4b2 of the vibration transmission material 4b does not have to be the same as the area of the vibration sensor 3a on the body surface 2a side. For example, the area of the vibration sensor contact surface 4b2 of the vibration transmitting material 4b may be larger than the area of the vibration sensor 3a on the body surface 2a side, or the area of the vibration sensor contact surface 4b2 of the vibration transmitting material 4b may be smaller than the area of the vibration sensor 3a on the body surface 2a side. However, it is preferable that the body surface contact surface 4b1 is sized so as to easily come into close contact with the body surface 2a. In this embodiment, the main body 3 is composed of the vibration sensor 3a and a housing that covers the vibration sensor 3a.
[0025] The base material 4a has a body surface contact surface 4a1 that contacts the body surface 2a when worn, and a main body contact surface 4a2 that contacts the main body 3 when worn. According to the above configuration, the main body 3 can be more stably attached to the body surface 2a via the attachment portion 4.
[0026] The body surface contact surface 4b1 of the vibration transmitting member 4b and the body surface contact surface 4a1 of the base material 4a are located on the same plane. With this configuration, the damping of vibration can be further suppressed.
[0027] FIG. 2 is a bottom view of the biometric information detection device 1, and FIG. 3 is a top view of the biometric information detection device 1, omitting the cover member 4a4 of the substrate 4a and the cover portion 5a3 of the acquisition unit 5a. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the biometric information detection device 1 includes an electrical signal sensor 5 having an acquisition unit 5a arranged on the body surface 2a to acquire electrical signals from the living body 2 and a processing unit 5b to process biometric information (e.g., cardiac function information) based on the electrical signals. The attachment unit 4 includes the acquisition unit 5a, and the main body unit 3 includes the processing unit 5b. With this configuration, biometric information based on electrical signals can be detected hygienically and economically by replacing the attachment unit 4 and reusing the main body unit 3 after each use. The cardiac function information based on electrical signals is, for example, an electrocardiogram (ECG) detected based on the electrical potential of the body surface 2a. The processing unit 5b may include, for example, a calculation unit that processes vibration information and cardiac function information, a memory unit that stores the calculation results, and a communication unit that transmits the information stored in the memory unit to an external device.
[0028] Fig. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line A-A in Fig. 3. As shown in Fig. 4, the substrate 4a has a non-conductive adhesive material 4a3, and the acquisition unit 5a has an electrode 5a1 and a conductive adhesive material 5a2, such as a conductive adhesive gel, that can adhesively attach the electrode 5a1 to the body surface 2a. With the above configuration, the acquisition unit 5a that acquires electrical signals can be configured with a simple structure.
[0029] The acquisition unit 5a is held by the base material 4a. According to the above configuration, the acquisition unit 5a can be attached to or detached from the main body 3 or the body surface 2a integrally with the base material 4a.
[0030] The attachment unit 4 has a connection unit 4c that electrically connects the acquisition unit 5a to the processing unit 5b and allows the attachment unit 4 to be attached to and detached from the main body unit 3. According to the above configuration, the attachment unit 4 can be attached to and detached from the main body unit 3 efficiently by the electrical connection unit 4c.
[0031] The connecting portion 4c has a terminal 4c1 as an electrode element connected to the electrode 5a1, and the terminal 4c1 has a head 4c2 (see FIG. 4) that is hooked onto the main body 3 to be locked. More specifically, a concave-shaped terminal on the main body 3 side that engages with the head 4c2 is provided in an area of the main body 3 on the body surface 2a side other than the area where the vibration sensor 3a is provided (i.e., the area of the main body 3 that contacts the main body contact surface 4a2 of the base material 4a). With the above configuration, the connecting portion 4c can be configured with a simple structure.
[0032] The acquisition unit 5a includes a laminated structure 5a4 including a conductive adhesive 5a2, an electrode 5a1, and a cover 5a3 stacked in this order from the body surface 2a side. This configuration allows the acquisition unit 5a to be configured with a simple structure. Furthermore, the cover 5a3 can protect the upper surface of the electrode 5a1 (and the upper surface of the conductive adhesive 5a2, if the upper surface extends beyond the electrode 5a1). In this embodiment, the acquisition unit 5a includes a laminated structure 5a4 including the electrode 5a1 as a positive electrode and a laminated structure 5a4 provided separately from the laminated structure 5a4 and including the electrode 5a1 as a negative electrode. This configuration allows biometric information to be detected based on an electrical signal from the potential difference between the positive and negative electrodes (the potential difference on the body surface 2a). In this embodiment, the acquisition unit 5a may also include an electrode 5a1 as a ground electrode.
[0033] 2 to 4, each laminated structure 5a4 has a terminal 4c1 with a head 4c2. According to the above configuration, the attachment portion 4 can be attached to the main body 3 more stably by the multiple heads 4c2.
[0034] Each laminated structure 5a4 is integrally formed with the base material 4a so that the terminals 4c1 are positioned so as to be embedded in the circular base material 4a when viewed in a plan view in the body surface vertical direction perpendicular to the body surface contact surface 4a1 of the base material 4a. According to the above configuration, the heads 4c2 of the terminals 4c1 of each laminated structure 5a4 allow the attachment unit 4 to be attached to the main body 3 more stably. In this embodiment, each laminated structure 5a4 has a circular shape when viewed in a plan view in the body surface vertical direction. The shape of the base material 4a is not limited to a circular shape, and the shape of the laminated structure 5a4 is not limited to a circular shape.
[0035] 12, the acquisition unit 5a may be provided separately from the substrate 4a, the substrate 4a having a connection portion 4c that can be attached to and detached from the main body 3, the attachment portion 4 having a wiring portion 4g electrically connecting the acquisition unit 5a to the connection portion 4c, and the acquisition unit 5a being electrically connected to the processing unit 5b via the wiring portion 4g and the connection portion 4c. This configuration makes it easy to position the acquisition unit 5a at an appropriate position away from the substrate 4a. In the example shown in FIG. 12, the wiring portion 4g has a wiring 4g1 electrically connected to the electrode 5a1 of the laminated structure 5a4 having the electrode 5a1 as a positive electrode, and a wiring 4g1 electrically connected to the electrode 5a1 of the laminated structure 5a4 having the electrode 5a1 as a negative electrode, which is provided separately from the laminated structure 5a4.
[0036] Fig. 10 is a top view of the bioinformation detection device 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure before being worn. Fig. 11 is a top view of the bioinformation detection device 1 shown in Fig. 10 in a worn state. As shown in Figs. 10 and 11 , the mounting unit 4 includes a terminal 4c1 connected to the electrode 5a1 and having a head 4c2, and a locking portion 4d corresponding to the terminal 4c1 and connected to the substrate 4a and having the head 4c2. The main body 3 includes a locking groove 3b corresponding to the terminal 4c1 and having a conductive portion 3b1. The locking groove 3b slides to lock the head 4c2 of the terminal 4c1 with the head 4c2 of the locking portion 4d, thereby mounting the mounting unit 4 to the main body 3. The conductive portion 3b1 of the locking groove 3b electrically connects the acquisition unit 5a to the processing unit 5b in the worn state. In this embodiment, the locking groove 3b has a first width capable of locking the head 4c2 of the terminal 4c1 and a second width capable of locking the head 4c2 of the locked portion 4d, the first width being smaller than the second width. If the head 4c2 has a T-shaped cross section, the locking groove 3b may employ a T-shaped rail with a T-shaped cross section. The locking groove 3b may be provided with a protrusion that can engage with the locked portion 4d. By providing the locking groove 3b with a protrusion that can engage with the locked portion 4d, the attachment portion 4 can be attached to and fixed to the main body portion 3. In this embodiment, the main body portion 3 has an outer circumferential shape that is the same size and shape as the base material 4a when viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the body surface, but is not limited to this. The terminal 4c1 of the attachment portion 4 is provided on the side facing away from the body surface 2a, and the locking groove 3b of the main body portion 3 is provided on the side facing the body surface 2a. Therefore, the terminals 4c1 and the locking grooves 3b engage with each other, enabling sliding and locking of the main body 3 and the attachment portion 4. The width of the conductive portion 3b1 when viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the body surface may be configured to be smaller than the width of the locking grooves 3b. With this configuration, the conductive portion 3b1, which has a width corresponding to the size of the heads 4c2 of the terminals 4c1, and the locking grooves 3b, which have a width corresponding to the size of the heads 4c2 of the locked portions 4d, have different widths, allowing the main body 3 to be attached to the attachment portion 4 in a unique orientation. With the above configuration, the attachment portion 4 can be easily attached to and detached from the main body 3 and electrically connected by sliding.
[0037] The base material 4a has an adhesive material 4a3 and a cover member 4a4 that covers the upper surface of the adhesive material 4a3 without covering the upper surface (vibration sensor contact surface 4b2) of the vibration transmission material 4b. In other words, the attachment unit 4 has the cover member 4a4 that forms the upper surface (the surface opposite the body surface 2a) and side surfaces of the base material 4a. With the above configuration, the upper surface of the adhesive material 4a3 can be protected by the cover member 4a4. The cover member 4a4 is preferably made of a flexible material. This configuration prevents the attachment unit 4 from becoming soiled or bent, while allowing the biometric information detection device 1 to be attached in close contact with the body surface 2a. In this embodiment, the up-down direction is a direction perpendicular to the body surface 2a when worn, and the upper side D is a direction from the body surface 2a toward the main body unit 3 along the up-down direction when worn, while the lower side is the opposite direction.
[0038] 5 to 7 are each a partial cross-sectional side view showing a biometric information detection device 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 5 , the biometric information detection device 1 includes a first vibration sensor as a vibration sensor 3 a, a second vibration sensor as a vibration sensor 3 a, a first vibration transmission material as a vibration transmission material 4 b, and a second vibration transmission material as a vibration transmission material 4 b. The first vibration sensor and the second vibration sensor acquire vibrations in different frequency bands. The first vibration transmission material is made of a material suitable for transmitting the frequency band of vibrations acquired by the first vibration sensor, and the second vibration transmission material is made of a material suitable for transmitting the frequency band of vibrations acquired by the second vibration sensor. For example, if the first vibration sensor is a heart sound sensor and the second vibration sensor is a pulse wave sensor, the first vibration transmission material is made of a material that transmits frequencies of 20 to 200 Hz, and the second vibration transmission material is made of a material that transmits frequencies of 1 to 20 Hz. Preferably, the first vibration sensor as the vibration sensor 3a and the second vibration sensor as the vibration sensor 3a are separate bodies, and the first vibration sensor and the first vibration transmitting member are in contact, and the second vibration sensor and the second vibration transmitting member are in contact. The first vibration sensor and the first vibration transmitting member, and the second vibration sensor and the second vibration transmitting member may or may not be adjacent to each other. In this embodiment, the first vibration sensor as the vibration sensor 3a and the second vibration sensor as the vibration sensor 3a are arranged adjacent to each other within the housing, and the first vibration transmitting member as the vibration transmitting member 4b and the second vibration transmitting member as the vibration transmitting member 4b are also arranged adjacent to each other on the mounting portion 4. This configuration enables accurate detection of biological information (such as heart sound information or cardiac function information) based on vibrations in different frequency bands. The biological information detected by one of the first vibration sensor and the second vibration sensor and the biological information detected by the other of the first vibration sensor and the second vibration sensor are, for example, heart sound information and pulse wave information.
[0039] 6 or 7, the main body 3 may be configured to include an optical sensor 3c that acquires light (such as reflected light or transmitted light) acting on the living body 2 and detects light-based biological information (such as cardiac function information). According to this configuration, by replacing the attachment part 4 and reusing the main body 3 after each use, it is possible to detect light-based biological information hygienically and economically. Light-based cardiac function information is, for example, a pulse wave detected based on light.
[0040] The vibration transmission material 4b may be configured to transmit light acting on the body surface 2a toward the optical sensor 3c when the base material 4a is attached to the main body 3 and the body surface 2a. This configuration allows light to be transmitted from the body surface 2a to the optical sensor 3c via the translucent vibration transmission material 4b while suppressing light attenuation. As shown in FIG. 6 , the vibration sensor 3a and the optical sensor 3c may be arranged adjacent to each other in a direction perpendicular to the body surface vertical direction, and the entire vibration transmission material 4b in contact with both the vibration sensor 3a and the optical sensor 3c may be translucent. Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 7 , the vibration sensor 3a and the optical sensor 3c may be arranged adjacent to each other in a direction perpendicular to the body surface vertical direction, and the area in contact with the vibration sensor 3a and the area in contact with the optical sensor 3c may be made of two types of materials with different light transmittances. For example, if the vibration sensor 3a is a heart sound sensor and the optical sensor 3c is a pulse wave sensor, a portion of the vibration transmission material 4b in contact with the optical sensor 3c may be translucent. Examples of translucent materials include materials with high transparency (light transmittance), such as glass, glass epoxy resin, etc. As shown in Fig. 2, an optical sensor 3c separate from the vibration sensor 3a may be provided on the main body 3, and the region of the attachment part 4 that comes into contact with the optical sensor 3c may be formed with a hole without providing the base material 4a and the vibration transmitting material 4b, so that light acting on the body surface 2a may be transmitted to the optical sensor 3c without passing through the vibration transmitting material 4b.
[0041] FIG. 8 is a top view showing a biometric information detection device 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 9 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line B-B of the biometric information detection device 1 shown in FIG. 8. As shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 , the attachment unit 4 may include a connection unit 4c that electrically connects the acquisition unit 5a to the processing unit 5b and a mechanical connection unit 4f (in the illustrated example, a belt-like or string-like connection member such as a belt or rubber band) that can be attached to and detached from the main body unit 3. As shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 , the mechanical connection unit 4f may be composed of, for example, four bands. In the unattached state (when the main body unit 3 and the attachment unit 4 are not attached), one end of each band is engaged with the cover member 4a4 of the attachment unit 4 and the other end is free. At least a portion of the mechanical connection unit 4f (in this embodiment, the free end portions of the four bands) has a hook-and-loop fastener. When viewed in a plan view perpendicular to the body surface, the band-like mechanical connection unit 4f has a length that exceeds the center point when placed along the top surface of the main body unit 3. One surface of the released other end of each of the band-shaped mechanical connecting portions 4f has a hook-shaped surface fastener, and the other surface has a loop-shaped surface fastener. With this configuration, the hook-shaped surface fastener and the loop-shaped surface fastener engage with each other, allowing the main body 3 to be attached to the attachment portion 4.
[0042] 4 and 9, the attachment unit 4 has a protective sheet 4e that can be attached and detached to the body surface contact surface 4a1 of the adhesive material 4a3 of the base material 4a and the body surface contact surface 4a1 of the conductive adhesive material 5a2 of the acquisition unit 5a. According to the above configuration, the body surface contact surface 4a1 of the adhesive material 4a3 and the body surface contact surface 4a1 of the conductive adhesive material 5a2 can be protected by the protective sheet 4e until the protective sheet 4e is removed for attachment. Note that, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 9, the body surface contact surface of the vibration transmission material 4b does not have an adhesive material, so the protective sheet 4e does not need to be provided.
[0043] Although the embodiments of the present disclosure have been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and the above-described embodiments can be modified in various ways without departing from the gist of the present disclosure.
[0044] For example, the acquisition unit 5 a may not have the electrode 5 a 1. In this case, by configuring the conductive adhesive material 5 a 2 and the connection unit 4 c to be directly connected, the electrical signal of the living body 2 is transmitted to the connection unit 4 c via the conductive adhesive material 5 a 2, and biological information based on the electrical signal can be detected.
